Bodnar Asked About Minister of Justice Role: In My Book, I Said I Could Be Ready to Accept This Responsibility

- The decision rests with Prime Minister Donald Tusk. I will respond by saying that I am a person who recognizes certain rules of politics. If certain things are not decided, then they are not discussed publicly. I will respond to you by saying that at one time I published a book titled “I Will Never Give Up.” It was an interview, and at that time I said that I could be ready to accept this responsibility. Yes, [things may have changed], but my path still indicates that I continue to follow a political path – stated Adam Bodnar in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

08:09

Bodnar Asked About Referendum to Remove President: This Proposal Surprised Me

- Honestly - the media proposal by Professor Marek Chmaj [regarding the removal of the president in a referendum] surprised me. I am definitely more inclined to the view that there are two possibilities for the president's term to end. The first is the State Tribunal, the second is simply the end of the president's term. Let's not look for other solutions, even if theoretically they might seem possible to us - stated Adam Bodnar in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

08:11

Bodnar on "Duplicate" Judges at the Constitutional Tribunal: A Sejm Resolution Can Confirm They Were Illegally Appointed and Lack Judge Status

- I believe that a Sejm resolution can confirm that they were illegally appointed to the Constitutional Tribunal and that they do not have the status of judges. Furthermore, this stems from both the rulings of the European Court of Human Rights, as well as, for example, from the fact that proceedings have been initiated before the European Commission due to the tribunal not being recognized as a court within the meaning of EU law - stated Adam Bodnar in the "Piasecki's Interview" on TVN24.

08:24

Bielan:

Little Chance for 231 Seats, But Aiming to Sow Doubt Among TD Parliamentarians Now PO's Side Dish

- I realize that the chances of the Prime Minister securing 231 seats are slim, but I am counting on the fact that after this vision that he presents... I know more or less the assumptions of what the Prime Minister will say. Of course, the final speech will be polished by the Prime Minister. We have a chance, if not to gain support now, then at least to sow doubt in the minds of those parliamentarians who once called themselves TD. And they are, in reality today, at least after the first Sejm session, that's how it can be understood, a side dish for PO – stated Adam Bielan in RMF24.

08:25

Bielan:

The June 4th March was Undeniably Tusk's Success

- Indeed, on June 4th, there was a general perception that PO gained momentum. The June 4th March was undeniably Tusk's success and allowed him to convince his members, PO supporters, that they have a chance for success – Adam Bielan said on RMF24.

08:26

Bielan:

I fear if Tusk forms a government, he will agree to an EU treaty change to repay his Brussels patrons
This is a draft treaty that centralizes the EU and gives the two largest states, France and Germany, even greater influence, even greater power. At the expense of countries like Poland, among others – stated Adam Bielan on RMF24. - A plenary vote in Strasbourg. I wish I were wrong, but I think the outcome of this vote is already decided. Based on how the majority was formed in the [European Parliament's Constitutional Affairs] committee. However, for this document to be adopted, the consent of all member states is, of course, necessary – he continued.

08:26

Bielan:

Blocking KPO Funds Was a Purely Political Decision Aimed at Securing the Best Possible Parliamentary Election Result for Tusk

- The blocking of funds for Poland [from the KPO] was a purely political decision and was intended to help Donald Tusk achieve the best possible result in the parliamentary elections. This was an illegitimate interference by the European Commission in Poland's democratic process – said Adam Bielan on RMF24.

08:27

Bielan:

I'm a Pessimist Regarding Tusk-President Relations. If Tusk Became Prime Minister, These Relations Would Be Very Bad

- Unfortunately, I am a pessimist when it comes to Tusk's relations with the president. Because I remember the years 2007-2010, when he delivered many below-the-belt blows in his relations with the then president, the late prof. Lech Kaczyński. If Tusk were to become prime minister, I hope this doesn't happen, but if it did, these relations with President Andrzej Duda would be very, very bad – stated Adam Bielan on RMF24.

08:36

Szejna:

It's untrue that we've lost anything; negotiations are ongoing, not just personnel matters count
- It's untrue that we've lost anything, because firstly, negotiations are still ongoing, and secondly, a great many elements of our program have been inscribed in the coalition agreement - said Andrzej Szejna in a conversation with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM's "Morning Interview." - Not only personnel matters count [...] I hope we will have a very numerous representation of deputy ministers [...]. On Friday, Włodzimierz Czarzasty spoke with SPD leader Lars Klingbeil, and he congratulated him, saying that "even though we have a chancellor, we haven't introduced as many programmatic points of the SPD, German social democracy, into the coalition as you have" - he continued.

08:42

Tyszka on the Tax-Free Amount Increase: If Tusk Didn't Scatter Promises Hastily Just to Steal Confederation's Electorate, We Expect Swift Enactment
I am for full transparency and for discussion. I am truly delighted that we are discussing Confederation's ideas, but be aware, these are not just Confederation's ideas, because we actually, I have been fighting for a higher tax-free amount for 10 years, I submitted such projects 8 years ago in the Sejm. At this moment, we have submitted a project for a tax-free amount of 60,000 PLN, combining it with our idea of 12 times the minimum wage, and this is an idea that Donald Tusk, the probable future Prime Minister of Poland, picked up from us during the campaign. So, we are calling him on it. If he did not lie during the campaign, if he did not scatter these promises hastily just to take away Confederation's electorate, then at this moment we expect swift enactment, and it will be very good for Poles, it will give a huge boost to the Polish economy and Poles will be richer - stated Stanisław Tyszka in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on the program “Graffiti” on Polsat News.

08:44

Tyszka on voluntary ZUS: I was once in a coalition with the PSL and convinced Kosiniak-Kamysz it was a good idea

- I was once in a coalition with the Polish People's Party (PSL) and I convinced Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz that it was a good idea, and they embraced it and later went into subsequent campaigns with this postulate, until recently they unfortunately started to back away from it - stated Stanisław Tyszka on Polsat News.

08:45

Tyszka:

How could we talk to a person who betrayed Polish interests in relations with the EU?

- How could we talk to a person who betrayed Polish interests in relations with the European Union? After all, Prime Minister Morawiecki did not veto Fit for 55, meaning it is them, PiS, who are limiting our ability to use cars. It is them who indirectly agreed to a ban on buying new combustion engine cars from 2035, it is them who quietly committed, without the citizens' consent, to every Polish citizen having to pay a new tax on fuel-powered cars from next year. It is them who agreed to further taxes entering into force in 2026 - stated Stanisław Tyszka on Polsat News.

08:46

Szejna:

If Voters Want Our Demands Met, They Must Vote for the Left, Not Technically
- We have maintained for many, many years that religion should simply not take place in schools. [...] All these demands that were not included in the coalition agreement, we will have our 'check' during Sejm votes. [...] No, it was not agreed [about religion in schools], but it's a bit like what Włodzimierz Czarzasty rightly said here on your program, that many demands will be difficult to implement if, of course, the coalition partners do not agree to them [...] if voters want them to be implemented, such as religion, full abortion rights up to 12 weeks, and issues of minimum wage increases [...], then they must vote for the Left, not technically - stated Andrzej Szejna on RMF FM.

08:46

Tyszka on the Dismissal of 'Dubler' Judges: Legality Cannot Be Restored Illegally. This Will Be the Original Sin of the New Government

- PiS broke the law, broke the constitution, but legality cannot be restored illegally, in an unlawful manner. One cannot overturn decisions of other branches of power with parliamentary resolutions. Either we respect the separation of powers – which is what the new ruling coalition, the one that is supposed to govern, has fought for over the years – or this will be the original sin of the new government - stated Stanisław Tyszka on Polsat News.

08:47

Tyszka:

We are heading into another election, and the new coalition will once again try to buy voters' votes
They are currently talking about raises for this group, for that group, and we are saying something completely different: leave people's money in their pockets through tax cuts. Don't buy their votes before the next elections. Because we are entering another election cycle, local and European elections, and it will soon be the case that just as PiS previously bought citizens' votes with their own money, so too will the new coalition try to do so now - stated Stanisław Tyszka on Polsat News.

08:50

Szejna:

What the Left Has Achieved Will Be Seen in Governance and Projects, Not Just in Agreements
- What the Left has actually achieved will become apparent during our governance, through the projects we implement, rather than what we've written down in some agreement. [...] I will reassure my colleagues and Left voters: let's give ourselves time, as we haven't even formed a coalition government yet, because President Andrzej Duda is preventing us from doing so - stated Andrzej Szejna on RMF FM.

09:02

Kołodziejczak:

I Have a Letter Written to PiS Voters. What PiS is Doing is Preying on Voters, Fears, and an Attempt to Disgust Everything That Isn't PiS
I have a letter written to PiS voters. I state clearly that what PiS is doing using TVP is preying on PiS voters, their fears, and an attempt to disgust everything that isn't PiS. I do not agree with this. I stood with these people on barricades, on roads. The thread of sympathy between Agrounia and the people who voted for PiS has not been broken. I will do everything to rebuild it even further. I write clearly in the letter: I will represent you with dignity in the new term of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland - stated Michał Kołodziejczak in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program 'Gość Radia Zet'.

09:03

Kołodziejczak on Farmers: I will ensure these tasks remain a government priority and will focus on them in parliament

- I assure you here that I will ensure these tasks remain a government priority and will focus on them, among other things, in parliament – stated Michał Kołodziejczak on the programme "Gość Radia Zet".

09:12

Kołodziejczak:

I Will Do Everything to Ensure the Ministry of Agriculture Functions Well, Regardless of Who the Minister Is

- I will do everything to ensure the Ministry of Agriculture functions well, regardless of who the minister is. Please note, approximately 30,000 employees work under the Minister of Agriculture in various positions, including employees of KOWR (National Support Centre for Agriculture), agencies, and various advisors across the country. We need to go in there, clean house, and see how, for instance, PLN 32 billion was spent by ARMiR (Agricultural Market Agency) in 2022 – stated Michał Kołodziejczak on the program "Gość Radia Zet".

09:16

Kołodziejczak on Relations with Tusk: 'I Always Say We Have a Good Vibe'

- I always say that we have a good vibe, they are very good. We promised each other that we would do everything that is best for Poland and Poles - stated Michał Kołodziejczak on the program "Gość Radia Zet".

09:23

Müller Indicates When Morawiecki's New Government Will Be Presented
- I think it will be at the end of this week, the beginning of next, because those are the deadlines [...] it will be either Friday, or probably next Monday - said Piotr Müller in an interview with Karol Gnat on "Trójka Political Salon" when asked when the composition of Mateusz Morawiecki's new government will be known.

09:24

Müller:

A Significant Part of the Council of Ministers Will Change. Final Discussions with Ministerial Candidates Are Underway
- A significant part of the Council of Ministers will change [...]. There will definitely be fewer ministers, and some of them will be individuals from outside, but some will also be politicians, so it will be a mixed composition, but the Prime Minister will present it. At this moment, the final discussions with the ministerial candidates are being concluded - stated Piotr Müller on Radio Three.

09:27

Kołodziejczak:

Let Pęk come out and admit that many decisions PiS made last term were a mistake

- Let the senators make the Senate as they wish, so that everything is in order there. We are starting to wonder if this wasn't a mistake. Let PiS come out, let Mr. Pęk come out and admit that many decisions PiS made last term were a mistake and that they failed to see many people, not only in the Sejm, but also on the street - stated Michał Kołodziejczak on the program "Gość Radia Zet".

09:33

Müller on Whether In Vitro Will Be Included in the 'Decalogue of Polish Affairs': One Can Say So Broadly
- We are presenting the 'Decalogue of Polish Affairs,' we want to show what things we would like to implement as a government. On Friday, these were matters mainly concerning the economy [...] today, there are more, and by the end of this week, we will present these topics. These are programs concerning healthcare, the Prime Minister will speak today about health matters, social issues [...] and education - said Piotr Müller on Trójka. - There are proposals there that partially overlap with those that are common to Law and Justice and common to some opposition parties currently. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but also, for example, in healthcare, there will be a project that I think will be important from the perspective of those who want to start a family, who also have problems with actually having children. One can say so broadly [that the issue of in vitro will appear] - he continued.

09:38

Müller:

National Housing Program is a Response to Left Party's Demands. It Would Have Guaranteed Budgetary Funding
- I think that [proposals responding to the Left Party's proposals] have already partially appeared, precisely on Friday, we are talking about the National Housing Program, which concerns the construction of state-owned, let's call them, or local government housing [...] it was presented on Friday as one of the key elements of our government program, and this is also a response to the demands from the Left Party [...]. Yes, it would have guaranteed funding [in the future budget] - said Piotr Müller on Trójka.

09:41

Müller:

In the Corridors, There's a Belief that Tusk Isn't for the Whole Term
- In the corridors, when talking with various politicians [...] there is a belief that Donald Tusk is not for the whole term. For some European reason, mainly. We'll see if this is a realistic scenario - said Piotr Müller on Trójka.

10:56

Bosak:

It's Clear an Energized PiS with New Faces is a Tougher Competitor
- For some, the issue of violating MPs' rights and the Sejm's regulations in the previous term was decisive. One must admit that Elżbieta Witek is an extremely controversial figure, as she simply behaved very unjustly as the Speaker of the Sejm. I personally think so too, but out of a sense of reciprocity, I gritted my teeth and voted for her - stated Krzysztof Bosak on Radio Wnet. - I believe that every club has the right to be represented by whomever it wishes in the Sejm's presidium. I even think that by fielding such a polished face, PiS is doing us a favor, because it's clear that an energized PiS with new faces is a tougher competitor. However, PiS that puts forward individuals responsible for various irregularities, various abuses, and rights violations is an easier opponent for us - he added.

10:57

Bosak:

The Table Has Been Upset, and You Can See It in Morawiecki and Witek's Faces
- The table has been upset, and you can see it in the faces of Mateusz Morawiecki and Elżbieta Witek. They divided and ruled unopposed for 8 years in the Sejm chamber. They did whatever they wanted, treated it as their private property, and that has now come to an end - stated Krzysztof Bosak on Radio Wnet.

11:01

Bosak on Voting for Constitutional Tribunal Judges: I See No Reason to Be Guided by How Each Club is Named
- We will be guided by the candidates that these clubs put forward. This is something entirely different from dividing functions in the Sejm, so I see no reason why we should be guided by how each club is named. We will look at which club nominates whom, and we will vote that way. That's how I imagine it, as of Monday morning – stated Krzysztof Bosak on Radio Wnet. - Today, the presidium is planned, a meeting of our club, perhaps we will decide something else. For example, some principle of reciprocity, and if there is a promise of reciprocity from other clubs, but we will certainly make it dependent on the names that are put forward, and I think similarly to other clubs – he added.

11:08

Bosak on Sikorski and Sienkiewicz in Tusk's Government: Good That It's Not Someone Straight from the Left or, God Forbid, from the Razem Party
- Personally, I expect a shift towards the so-called progressive, more left-wing side, but it's good that it's not someone straight from the left or, God forbid, from the Razem party - stated Krzysztof Bosak on Radio Wnet, referring to speculation about Sikorski and Sienkiewicz in ministerial roles in Tusk's new government.

11:52

Soboń:

We Filed a Bill to Extend Zero VAT Rate on Food
- Today, as the Law and Justice parliamentary club, we filed the first bill of this term, a bill that Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced, a bill that means a zero VAT rate on food for another six months, i.e., from January 1st to the end of June 2024. This is a bill that we hope will find support in the chamber, because according to the announcements of all those who want to form a government coalition today and who announce that this coalition led by Prime Minister Tusk will be formed, they have stated many times: what is given will not be taken away. Hence, we are submitting a bill, not a regulation, so that there are no doubts. We know that a regulation is possible, but we want to have a guarantee that the government that is formed will not withdraw from this solution which is beneficial for Poles – stated Artur Soboń during a press conference.

12:20

Polskanatle Data: USA Leads "Country Index for Family Business" Ranking, Followed by Canada and Sweden, Poland in the Middle
At the forefront of the "Country Index for Family Business" ranking, which assesses the attractiveness of locations for businesses, the United States has taken first place, followed by Canada and Sweden. Italy and Spain fared the worst. We found ourselves somewhere in the middle! We are in tenth place and belong to the strongest "climbers." This means we are growing in strength most effectively among the listed countries - - according to data from Polskanatle.pl. Authors of the study evaluated six factors: tax burdens, labor costs and productivity, legal regulations, company financing conditions, quality of infrastructure and public administration, as well as ease of logistics and energy costs. We have truly good tax conditions, which are more attractive than in other countries. We also perform favorably in terms of foreign trade regulations and current business operations. Locationally, we are also among the leaders. After all, we are the heart of Europe! We fare slightly weaker in the context of the credit market, which is still developing in our country. Our result is also below average when it comes to the equity ratio. Despite these drawbacks, in some categories, we still belong to the best business locations in the world. Expert commentary: Both the Country Index for Family Business ranking, as well as other economic reports and rankings, confirm that Poland is becoming increasingly attractive for opening and developing businesses. In Poland, corporate tax burdens – CIT – (19 percent) are at a lower level than the European average (22 percent). Moreover, the tax wedge in Poland is also below the OECD average, unlike at the beginning of the 21st century, and as economists note, the tax wedge in Poland is particularly low for large and medium-sized companies. Our country can also be attractive for companies due to increasing labor productivity – in 2022, the average Polish employee was 4.7 percent more productive year-on-year, which was the second fastest growth in the European Union, right after Ireland. The Polish employee is also very well-educated – the PISA report rates education at the secondary and tertiary levels very highly, at 10th place globally. Over the last 10 years, Poland has significantly reduced the burden of public administration, which means it is currently in the group of countries with a low administrative cost burden per citizen. According to the competitiveness report, in 2021, Poland also recorded one of the highest growth rates in public infrastructure development in recent years – states Tomasz Mądry, an analyst from the strategy team at the Polish Economic Institute.

12:55

Morawiecki:

Social policy could be a kind of cross-party, even non-party, social contract
I will start by saying that social policy could be a kind of cross-party, even non-party, social contract, because it is much more important than politics itself, which concerns finances and the economy as such. After all, we do all of this to raise living standards, to improve the lives of our children, to improve the fate of Polish families and Polish seniors - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press briefing. Social policy should be taken out of the realm of political disputes. Let's recall, for literally 15 seconds, what social policy looked like until 2015. It was pushed into a corner, marginalized. There was little of this social policy, barely enough to make a cat weep, metaphorically speaking. We have fundamentally changed this reality - he continued.

13:01

Morawiecki:

24 Platitudes and Generalities Show the Main Opposition Leader Wants to Abandon Your Core Programmatic Points

- 24 platitudes and generalities show that the main opposition leader wants to abandon the implementation of your core programmatic points. We propose the implementation of your programmatic points as well. We have the know-how, we know how to further tighten the tax system. And look at what they seem to be saying already: there is no money and there won't be any - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press briefing.

13:06

Morawiecki Unveils Key Proposals of the "Decalogue of Polish Affairs"

1. Continuation of our "Maluch plus" program.

2. Service pensions (emerytury stażowe).

3. Additional paid family leave beyond the child's first year of life, with the possibility of combining this parental leave with part-time employment.

4. Pension without tax up to the minimum wage or up to 6,000 PLN per month.

5. Widow's pension (Emerytura wdowia).

6. Nationwide Senior Card (Ogólnopolska Karta Seniora).

Further proposals include increasing spending on education and higher education to 6% of GDP, raising teacher salaries, higher remuneration at universities, and 2% of GDP for science.

13:13

Morawiecki:

We Invite Parliamentarians from Other Formations to Our Government, Which Will Be Largely Expert and Non-Partisan

- We invite parliamentarians from other formations to our government, which will be largely expert and non-partisan, so that we can calmly and stably implement these postulates - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press briefing.

13:17

Morawiecki Wants to Discuss Three Bills with Hołownia:

If Only He Would Invite Me, I Would Gladly Attend.
I also wanted to submit a proposal to Marshal Hołownia: if he were willing to host me for a meeting, I would very gladly meet with him. Perhaps it's not the most elegant way to invite oneself to a meeting, but if he were to invite me, I would very gladly attend such a meeting, because I have three very specific proposals for Polish families. We will actually submit them very soon, as the bills are ready - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference. 1. Mortgage holidays for 2024 2. Freezing electricity prices 3. Extension of zero VAT on food

13:19

Budka:

Resolutions Are Worthwhile If They Can Be Quickly and Effectively Implemented. Government First, Then Resolutions

- First and foremost, resolutions are worth undertaking if they can be very quickly and effectively implemented. I believe there is no need to rush. If there is a government and an executive element, resolutions, including Sejm resolutions, are executed much more easily. Because symbols are symbols, but in politics, effectiveness counts – stated Borys Budka in the Sejm.

- And on the other hand, it is important that everything is planned step by step, and we have presented such a plan, which our coalition partners have preliminarily approved – he continued.

- This is my opinion [that government first, then resolutions]. However, let's get used to the decisions that the Sejm presidium will once again have its true role – he added.

13:21

Kierwiński:

Tomorrow at 12 PM We Will Be Ready to Elect Committees and Their Presidiums

- As far as I know, because I didn't participate in those discussions, but as far as I know, everything is already settled, everything has been clarified, so tomorrow at 12 PM, as per the schedule, we will be ready to elect committees and elect the presidiums of those committees. It is natural that the ruling coalition will have a majority in the presidiums of most committees – stated Marcin Kierwiński in the Sejm.

13:25

Morawiecki:

We Want a Stable, Cross-Party Government, Not a Government of Vengeance and Spectacle Prepared by the Opposition Leader

- We want a stable, cross-party government, not a government of vengeance and spectacle that the opposition leader is preparing. We want peaceful development, focusing on the implementation of all those issues we have spoken about – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press briefing.

13:53

Duda:

Finland Can Count on Our Political Support and Experience Sharing
- President Sauli Niinistö, after many years and two terms, is slowly approaching the end of his presidential mission. This is also a very important moment for me to be able to speak with the President once again, undoubtedly one of the most experienced politicians in Europe, certainly one of the most experienced presidents. Especially in such a complicated international situation as we are currently facing, and this is what we primarily discussed today. In addition to purely bilateral issues concerning Polish-Finnish cooperation, which has been developing very well in recent years, with growing economic exchange, over 5 billion euros, this cooperation is developing for us, despite all the perturbations - stated President Andrzej Duda at a press conference with the President of Finland. - We mainly discussed security issues today, and let's not kid ourselves, security issues. We talked about the migratory pressure from Russia on the Finnish border. We have no doubt that today on the border with Russia, Finland is facing a similar phenomenon to what we have been dealing with here since 2021, a hybrid attack on the Finnish border, which is carried out by pushing groups of migrants towards this border. This is a very difficult situation, which we Poles understand perfectly. We support Finland with full awareness that Finland is defending not only its border. This is not just Finland's border, it is also the European Union's border - he added. - We understand that the authorities are treating this with seriousness and responsibility. Finland can absolutely count on our political support and on sharing our experience, because unfortunately, we have over 2 years of experience in defending our border against migratory pressure - he continued.

13:53

Morawiecki:

Glapiński Should Not Be Subject to Any Judgment or Verdict from the State Tribunal

- President Adam Glapiński should not in any way, not even to the slightest degree, be subject to any assessment or verdict from the State Tribunal, and this is because his two fundamental competencies, namely monetary policy and decisions related to interest rates, are made by collegial bodies. Even if these decisions were incorrect, and in my opinion they were entirely appropriate, they were collegial decisions. Therefore, President Adam Glapiński is Primus inter pares, leading and heading monetary policy, but he does not make decisions regarding the level of interest rates by himself, nor does he, as president of the National Bank of Poland, make other monetary decisions as I have mentioned. Consequently, there is no basis whatsoever to file a motion against him with the State Tribunal - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

14:00

Morawiecki:

Tusk Will Certainly Propose Various Actions, Like Investigative Commissions, and Unleash His Prosecutors. We Are Not Afraid of This At All

- We are not afraid of these games at all; we are only afraid of lost years from the perspective of Poles. It would be a great loss if the government focused on this, but we know the Roman saying 'bread and circuses,' meaning Mr. Tusk, who rules here, is very good at this, while offering nothing in terms of social policy. Mr. Donald Tusk will certainly propose various actions, such as investigative commissions, he will unleash his prosecutors, his judges, in line with Neumann's doctrine. I know this sounds harsh, but look at what Mr. Neumann said about their judges – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press briefing.

14:10

Duda:

Support for Ukraine Must Continue Until Ukraine's Victory
- Regarding my expectations of the future Polish government, in short, I hope, and not only hope but want to express my conviction, that the policy we have pursued towards Ukraine so far, our support for Ukraine, must continue to be implemented. I repeat once again, until Ukraine's victory, because that is how this war should end. [...] I assume that the Polish authorities, regardless of which political camp they come from, will continue this policy, which is a policy implemented absolutely in Poland's and Europe's interest - said President Andrzej Duda at a press conference.

14:13

Duda:

No Significant Influx of Illegal Migrants Through Poland's Borders with Belarus and Russia
- We have built a physical barrier along most of the Polish-Belarusian border in the form of a fence, which effectively protects against the influx of illegal migrants. We have also built an electronic barrier on both the Polish-Belarusian and Polish-Russian borders. A month ago, I personally visited both borders and saw the functioning of both barriers, both the physical and the electronic ones. Therefore, it is difficult to imagine stronger protection for these borders today. Consequently, there is no significant flow of illegal migrants across these borders, and I can say this with absolute certainty - President Andrzej Duda said at a press conference.

14:14

Morawiecki:

If Government Formation Fails, I'd Like to Lead a State Work Team

- If we fail to form this government, I would like to lead a state work team. A team that would, on one hand, keep a very close eye on our political opponents at that time, all those who would be forming the government, but on the other hand, would develop the vision we are currently presenting and focus on the future so that Poland catches up to the Western standard of living as quickly as possible, without making the mistakes the West is making - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press briefing.

- Part of this state work team will also be to show Poles what the current European Union reform threatens us with. Here, ladies and gentlemen, such a change is coming to the European Union that if it were implemented in its current form, the Polish government and the Polish Sejm, the Polish parliament, would have almost nothing to say on key issues we discuss today, such as social policy, tax policy, security, internal affairs, and many similar topics - he added.

14:17

Morawiecki Sets Deadline for KNF President Nomination

- The nomination will be finalized on the day the term of office of the Chairman of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority ends - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press briefing.

Morawiecki:

If we can implement further projects that resonate with the platforms of other parties, we are ready for very close cooperation

- If we can implement further projects that resonate with the platforms of other parties, here I am referring to The Left, the Razem party, which also has its own social sensitivity similar to ours, then we are ready for very close cooperation - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press briefing.

Morawiecki:

This Week I Will Send Invitations to Leaders of Other Political Formations
Yes, [I intend to start talks with the opposition]. Invitations will be sent this week. The conversations I am having with parliamentarians, mainly with MPs, are very confidential. The invitations that will go out to the heads of other political formations will, of course, be official, and depending on whether they take advantage of them or not, we will be able to present the results of these talks to the public opinion – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press briefing.

Kosiniak-Kamysz Announces Parliamentary Work on IVF Project

- One of the first decisions made by the PiS government was to eliminate funding for the IVF program. We will change this as early as next Wednesday and restore the chance for happiness to thousands of Polish families! - wrote Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on Twitter.

Majchrowski Announces Decision on Candidacy in Elections
- I wanted to say very clearly that I do not intend to run in the upcoming elections. I am 77 years old. If I were to run, I would finish my term, and terms are currently 5 years long, I would finish my term at the age of 82. I would not want to look like some politicians, admittedly on an international scale, and I believe that, for example, being president for only half a term would be something that is not only inelegant, but simply inappropriate, it would be a kind of deception. I feel completely healthy [...] in this context, I could absolutely function further, but at this age, to be honest, every year brings certain surprises, and I would prefer not to risk it while holding the office of president - said Jacek Majchrowski at a press conference.

Wielichowska:

Today we will discuss the continuation of work on citizens' legislative proposals by the 10th term Sejm

- Today in the Presidium, we will discuss the continuation of work by the 10th term Sejm on citizens' legislative proposals submitted during the 9th term. In the 9th term, work on 23 citizens' legislative proposals was not concluded. 13 are subject to the principle of discontinuation - Monika Wielichowska wrote on Twitter.

- 10 are NOT subject to the principle of discontinuation, therefore the Sejm should commence work on them no later than 6 months from the first Sejm session. The list of citizens' legislative proposals that are not subject to the principle of discontinuation includes the citizens' legislative proposal #takdlainvitro. We started collecting signatures for it a year ago - added the Deputy Marshal of the Sejm.

The PiS Wall is Cracking, and More People Will Spill. Neither Wąsik Nor Kamiński Can Sleep Peacefully
- It has begun, Madam Editor. The spilling has begun, the escapes from the sinking ship have started, and those who flee this sinking ship will implicate others in PiS. I believe this is just the beginning of this type of situation, where more repentant individuals who participated in breaking the law, who participated in dismantling the rule of law, in abusing their power, will start talking and will spill the beans – Krzysztof Śmiszek said in an interview with Beata Lubecka on „Gość Radia ZET”. - I believe we will soon witness more such statements [like those of "Agent Tomek"], because this strong PiS wall is starting to crack, and more people will spill. And neither Wąsik nor the Minister of the Interior Kamiński can sleep peacefully […]. I am not threatening them, I simply know how life works and I know that those who were very arrogant, who thought they would rule until the end of the world and one day longer, are now starting to feel the heat – he continued.

The first meeting of the neo-KRS with new representatives will take place on Tuesday. The illegal fifteen will remember this meeting for a long time.
- On Tuesday, the first meeting of the neoKRS with the participation of new Sejm representatives will take place. The illegal 15 will remember this meeting for a long time - wrote Kamila Gasiuk-Pihowicz, elected to the Council by the Sejm, on Twitter.

Śmiszek:

In a Week or Two, Morawiecki Will Claim He Participated in Women's Strikes Years Ago
- I think there will be a significantly smaller government [formed by Mateusz Morawiecki] overall. I believe there will be zero ministers – Krzysztof Śmiszek stated on "Gość Radia ZET". - I'll wait another week or two, and Prime Minister Morawiecki will announce that he participated in the women's strikes a few years ago and supports the liberalization of abortion law. Perhaps we will find out that he did. […] Prime Minister Morawiecki lives in an alternative reality. There are no plans to form any government with Prime Minister Morawiecki – he continued.

18:17

Śmiszek:

The CBA's Formula Has Been Exhausted. I See No Need for Its Continuation
- I believe that the CBA's formula has been exhausted, especially after the Ministry of Justice, or rather the Deputy Minister of Justice who managed the Fund of Justice, signed an agreement with the CBA for 25 million zlotys, likely used to purchase the Pegasus system for tracking the opposition and social activists - Krzysztof Śmiszek said on "Gość Radia ZET". - I see no need for the continuation of the CBA. It is up to the new government to deal with this. Some individuals will likely be incorporated into other services, but we are certainly facing a discussion and debate about the current shape of the CBA - he continued. - I am a proponent, after the kinds of actions the CBA has taken, where it failed to supervise itself in the context of cash being siphoned off, millions of zlotys by one of its employees, whether this service, this bureau, makes sense - he continued.

Śmiszek:

We have draft resolutions ready to call out PiS's scoundrelism regarding the rule of law. Votes? When a new government is in place.
- The new democratic majority has developed several draft resolutions that will name - and I apologize for this word, but it's the only one that comes to mind - PiS's scoundrelism in the context of violating the rule of law. I say this with emotion, with my whole being, because I believe that what has happened since 2015 is simply spitting on the Constitution. We are 8 years into PiS rule and we are neck-deep in a legal swamp - said Krzysztof Śmiszek in "Gość Radia ZET". - The new democratic majority cannot remain silent and cannot begin a new term, a new opening, a new perspective on the rule of law with silence. Repairing the rule of law must take place in accordance with constitutional and democratic rules. Resolutions must be made. Resolutions will be made and they will call things by their name - he continued. - The resolutions will not be ready in a week, nor in two weeks. They will be ready when Donald Tusk's new government and the democratic majority are in place, when there is full power. We believe that such extremely significant acts as parliamentary majority resolutions should be adopted in an atmosphere of a certain kind of calm and certainty that such a resolution will land on fertile ground, for example, in the Ministry of Justice - he added.

Budka:

Monika Horna-Cieślak is the parliamentary majority's candidate for Children's Ombudsman
- The candidate of the parliamentary democratic majority for the Children's Ombudsman is attorney Monika Horna-Cieślak. Her knowledge, professional preparation, and over a decade of experience, supported by recommendations from non-governmental organizations, guarantee that this is the best choice. Fingers crossed! - Borys Budka wrote on Twitter.

Zandberg:

The Narrative That We Are in a Particularly Bad Situation Regarding Public Debt is Misguided
- Poland is not a country more indebted than the European average, so this narrative that we are in a particularly bad situation regarding public debt, in my opinion, is misguided - stated Adrian Zandberg in an interview with Grzegorz Sroczyński on the program “Popołudniowa rozmowa” on RMF FM.

19:18

Zandberg:

Morawiecki Knows What He'd Hear, and That's Probably Why He's Not Calling
- I think Prime Minister Morawiecki knows perfectly well what he would hear, and that's probably why he's not calling [about building a majority] - stated Adrian Zandberg on RMF FM.

19:20

Zandberg:

If There's Funding for Social Housing, We're Ready to Take Responsibility Any Time
- If there are funds, if there is political agreement to introduce reasonable legal tools that would limit, for example, the pathology that short-term rentals have become, if there is money for social housing, we are ready to take responsibility for it at any moment, but without funds and without political agreement to change laws, a minister is just a business card, a desk, a secretary, and a limousine - stated Adrian Zandberg on RMF FM.

19:26

Zandberg on Raising the Tax-Free Allowance: I Want to Hear Concrete Details, Because Until I Do, We're Really Talking About Something Abstract
- The question is: what about local governments, because the tax-free allowance is a nice tool that can often be used for a noble purpose, only it has costs, so if we remove funds through the tax-free allowance, we have to ask ourselves: where will we realistically get them from in Poland today? If we push the tax-free allowance up twice, we will take huge amounts of money from local government budgets, meaning these local governments will not have funds for education subsidies or, for example, for increases for local government employees. I would like to hear concrete details, because until I hear them, we are really talking about something abstract - stated Adrian Zandberg on RMF FM.

19:31

Zandberg:

We Proposed Reaching 8% of GDP for Healthcare. Other Parties Disagreed
- We put forward a proposal to reach 8% [of GDP for healthcare] on the table, because we are rational people and we know that we won't increase these funds to 8% from one day to the next, or year to year, but we wanted to reach 8% within the term. The other parties did not agree to this - stated Adrian Zandberg on RMF FM. - I think there is still a lingering belief that a different way of organizing the same money can solve a problem which, in our opinion, we in Razem believe, is structural in nature - he continued. - We are convinced that one must not economize on this. There was no agreement to include a firm commitment on this matter, and in our opinion, it is important for these firm commitments to be present in coalition agreements, because then one can simply hold these politicians accountable - he added.

19:49

Bosak:

We Haven't Received an Invitation from the Prime Minister for Talks. We Are Not Holding Confidential Discussions with Him
- We in Konfederacja have never rejected invitations from the most important people in the state, such as the president or the prime minister, for consultations or talks. Until now, despite reports in various media about how the prime minister is building a coalition for his government, no invitation for talks has reached us - said Krzysztof Bosak in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of Events) on Polsat News. - No [we are not holding confidential discussions with the prime minister]. [...] I think, if I am to be honest, that this is a game of appearances, meaning, everyone knows that PiS does not have a majority and will not have one. Meanwhile, of course, the prime minister has allowed himself to be maneuvered into or agreed to put on a brave face. This is already an element of the campaign for the local and European elections - he continued.

19:52

Bosak:

The Prime Minister Poses as a Euroskeptic Who Could Almost Run with Konfederacja. We Don't Believe Him
- We don't believe that [Prime Minister Morawiecki wants to implement our demands], he had eight years for that. [...] The Prime Minister, for example, at the first Sejm session, in his speech fought against the concept of Euro-taxes, which he himself proposed in 2020, he is now posing as, I don't know, a Euroskeptic, one who could almost run with Konfederacja, that's unserious to us - said Krzysztof Bosak in Polsat News.

19:57

Bosak:

The Left and Civic Platform Unnecessarily Hand the Ball to PiS by Blocking a PiS Candidate from the Sejm Presidium
- We also supported [for Deputy Speakers of the Sejm] candidates from other options; there was reciprocity. We also supported a PSL candidate, and we also supported a PiS candidate, at least I did with my vote – Krzysztof Bosak said on Polsat News. - We believe that every parliamentary club has the right to a representative in the Sejm presidium, and we believe that the Left and Civic Platform are unnecessarily handing the ball to PiS by not allowing a PiS candidate into the Sejm presidium. We may have our reservations about Ms. Witek, but if PiS put forward a weak candidate, then that is to PiS's detriment – he continued.

20:03

Bosak:

We will compete with PiS for primacy on the Polish right. We will not go with them into the local elections.
- At the moment, in opposition, we will compete with PiS for primacy on the Polish right - said Krzysztof Bosak on Polsat News. - Absolutely not [we will not go with PiS in a coalition for local elections to provincial assemblies]. PiS is a party for us that has betrayed its ideals, betrayed what it promised its voters. It promised to defend the interests of ordinary Poles, and then accepted very unfavorable EU regulations for money that they did not receive - he continued.

20:41

Błaszczak:

The Strongest Land Forces in Europe - We Can Do It, We Just Need to Want and Be Able To

- Demographics allow us to create an army of 300,000. The strongest land forces in Europe, we can achieve this, we just need to want it and be able to. When the opposition was in power, they didn't want to and simply couldn't. These people are incapable of governing, they are incapable of implementing processes that ultimately lead to development. On the contrary, they saved on the military, they didn't even utilize the budget allocated for the Polish Army - stated Mariusz Błaszczak in the program "Gość Wiadomości" on TVP Info.

20:42

Sroka:

The Question Must Be Asked - How Many 'Agent Tomeks' Operated During the Current PiS Government? I Am Convinced There Were Many

- Today the question must be asked. How many 'Agent Tomeks' operated during the current PiS government. I am convinced that there were many officers who allowed themselves to be manipulated and used in precisely this way, acting together with Minister Kamiński and Wąsik. And in return, they received rewards such as employment in state-owned companies for substantial sums of money. This is precisely what investigative commissions, which will be established this term, should be dealing with in my opinion – stated Magdalena Sroka on the program "Fakty po faktach" on TVN24.

- Officers from various services, besides securing themselves and having secured themselves over all these years, for example, as a colleague mentioned about documents being destroyed. They are preserved – she added.

20:44

Kamiński:

If the vote were to happen again, I would not vote for Pęk
- No - said Michał Kamiński in an interview with Monika Olejnik on TVN24's "Kropka nad i" when asked if he would support Marek Pęk's candidacy for Deputy Speaker of the Senate if the vote were to take place again. - Just as Mr. Marek Pęk did not vote for me... - the senator continued. When told that Pęk had supported Kamiński's candidacy in the vote, the Deputy Speaker of the Senate replied: Then thank you very much. I am sorry that I will not reciprocate. - I promised my voters that I would not 'break' - I apologize, [...] this is absolutely no joke with his surname, I would never allow myself that [...] - I promised my voters that I would strive for PiS to answer for what they did before the elections. But today we must hold PiS politically accountable, also for what is happening after the elections. A gigantic majority of Poles went and voted [...] for them to stop ruling, and they are still stubbornly clinging to power - Kamiński continued.

20:48

Błaszczak:

I Will Discuss Polish-American Relations, Which Are Very Strong, with the US Secretary of Defense

- I will discuss Polish-American relations, which are very strong, with Lloyd Austin. During the time Lloyd Austin has been the US Secretary of Defense, we have fulfilled contracts for equipping the Polish Army with Abrams tanks, and these tanks are already in Poland, and Himars launchers - stated Mariusz Błaszczak on the program "Gość Wiadomości" on TVP Info.

- Thanks to our cooperation with the United States, attack helicopters Apache will be delivered to the Polish Army's equipment as early as next year. Polish pilots have already begun training on these helicopters in the United States. They are already in America and are training - he added.

20:55

Pęk:

The majority cannot choose a speaker for the minority
- I think so [I will be the only candidate from PiS for the position of Deputy Speaker of the Senate]. Our leaders have clearly stated this: the party leader, Marshal Karczewski, who is currently the head of the Senate wing of the PiS club - Marek Pęk said on TVN24's "Kropka nad i". - This is not about me, this is not about some position, this is not about you having to give me something. It is known that this choice will not happen without the vote of the majority. This is a gesture from the majority towards the opposition, so that they can choose the speaker they want. The majority cannot choose a speaker for the minority - he continued.
