Ziobro on Holland's Film: Poles Expect Tusk to Condemn Film's Lies Tarnishing the Polish Uniform

- Portraying Polish soldiers and officers as bandits is something we know from the propaganda of Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia. That something so disgusting would be repeated, and by a director Agnieszka Holland, who forms the political backing of Tusk and Trzaskowski. Not long ago, no one would have believed this. Ms. Holland wrongs and insults young Polish soldiers and Border Guard officers who are selflessly defending the Polish border against the hybrid attack by Lukashenka and Putin. Poles expect Donald Tusk to condemn the film's lies that are tarnishing the Polish uniform - stated Zbigniew Ziobro in a recording published on social media.

07:52

Błaszczak:

It Seems President Zelensky Doesn't Remember Germany Didn't Help Ukraine When Russia Attacked

- It seems President Zelensky doesn't remember that when Russia attacked Ukraine, Germany did not come to Ukraine's aid at all. There's this information about 5,000 helmets that were sent with such difficulty from Germany to Ukraine, but it's clear President Zelensky's calculations are different. Well, he is the president of Ukraine, he conducts policy as he sees fit – stated Mariusz Błaszczak on PR1's "Sygnały dnia" (Signals of the Day).

07:58

Błaszczak on Zelenskyy's Remarks: From a Polish Perspective, It's a Big Disappointment

- From a Polish perspective, it's indeed a big disappointment. It's not even the most important thing how many billions of zlotys we've transferred; the most important thing is that we opened our homes and hearts to refugees from Ukraine, women and children. These people were fleeing from the war, from the crimes that Russia committed against Ukrainians, and that is the most crucial aspect. This is a capital that would be of great significance for the future - stated Mariusz Błaszczak in 'Signals of the Day' on PR1.

08:03

Błaszczak:

It is the moral duty of Messrs. Tusk and Trzaskowski to apologize to Polish soldiers and Border Guards

- It is the moral duty of Messrs. Tusk and Trzaskowski to apologize to Polish soldiers and Border Guard officers for the disgraceful attack on them; this is very important. But what may be even more important, an attack from Belarus can be expected, because Ms. Holland, with this film, is aligning herself with the propaganda of Moscow, Putin, and the Kremlin - stated Mariusz Błaszczak in "Sygnały dnia" on PR1.

08:08

Jarubas:

Ukrainians should understand that Poland has the right and obligation to prioritize its citizens and farmers
- We can talk about a whole series of awkwardness on both sides, because Ukrainians should also understand that Poland has the right and obligation to prioritize our citizens, our farmers. However, on the Polish side, we have a series of inconsistencies and a lack of competence. For example, the commissioner we delegated as Poland, Janusz Wojciechowski, who was delegated by PiS, has completely failed, doing nothing for a year and a half while the grain crisis escalated - said Adam Jarubas in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News' "Graffiti". - The Ukrainian side, this ostentation, President Zelensky leaving during Andrzej Duda's speech at the UN, is something that should not have happened. Diplomacy has failed here - he continued.

08:08

Błaszczak:

Yesterday in Krynki, We Discussed Additional Border Reinforcement

- Yesterday in Krynki, on the border, we discussed additional border reinforcement, anticipating everything that might happen. We must reckon with provocations from the Kremlin, and Ms. Holland, with her film, is fitting into everything the Kremlin is doing – stated Mariusz Błaszczak on "Sygnały dnia" PR1.

08:15

Jarubas on Morawiecki's Words: PiS's Research Showed a Need for Greater Assertiveness. The Prime Minister Emerges, Who Should Weigh His Words but is a Storyteller and a Liar
- PiS's research probably showed that greater assertiveness [in relations with Ukraine] is needed here, so the Prime Minister emerges, who should weigh his words, but unfortunately today he is the primary storyteller and often a liar [...] it probably came out of their research that they need to give the Ukrainians a jab here, but the government should be expected to be responsible, not just to participate in political games - said Adam Jarubas in Polsat News, when asked about Mateusz Morawiecki's words regarding Poland not transferring weapons to Ukraine.

08:16

Bosak on Korwin-Mikke's Words: Journalistic Provocations Aimed at Breaking His Media Silence

- He is not the leader; [Janusz Korwin-Mikke] is one of the parliamentary candidates. There are people who love him for his journalistic temperament. There are those who hate him. I consider these statements [regarding women] to be journalistic provocations aimed at breaking his media absence, while in the campaign we are dealing with serious issues and these comments are not part of our election campaign at all – stated Krzysztof Bosak in a conversation with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.

08:20

Jarubas:

One Big March Won't Solve the Problem; We Want to Win Over the Undecided and Former PiS Voters
- One big march won't solve the problem; we want to be where our voters are, in local Poland, in county towns, in villages [...] we have this idea to organize at least one or two thousand meetings this weekend [...] mainly opposition voters [are at the march], and we want to win over, not just by cannibalizing the opposition's voter base, but by fighting for the undecided, who won't be at the march, and for former PiS voters – said Adam Jarubas on Polsat News.

08:22

Bosak:

I Vote in All Elections and Referendums as a Matter of Principle

- Of course [we will participate], I vote in all elections and referendums as a matter of principle. I consider it a civic duty. It seems to me that approaching each election and each referendum separately and making some individual assessments is quite tiring, so as a rule, I go, I vote, and I choose the greater good or the lesser evil, depending on the possibilities - stated Krzysztof Bosak in RMF FM.

08:29

Bosak:

We are in favor of cutting social benefits for Ukrainians in Poland

- We are proposing, first and foremost, moderation in policy towards Ukraine and Ukrainians. For example, cutting these social benefits for everyone with Ukrainian passports. I would remind you that we were the only party in the Sejm that did not vote for this - stated Krzysztof Bosak on RMF FM.

08:29

Jarubas on Pegasus Surveillance: I'm a Supporter of Efficient Institutions to Put the Morons Making Such Decisions in Prison
- This is a consistent confirmation that PiS used the services, paid enormous sums of money for it, to use these modern, very offensive surveillance tools against people who, in some calculation, could threaten their power. I heard a conversation today with General Skrzypczak, who is deeply moved, even touched, and asks the question: what have I done to my country that it treats me like a traitor? This is simply a scandal, and the people responsible for it should be held accountable criminally [...] today there are at least a dozen examples where people of this government will answer criminally [...] I am generally not a supporter of parliamentary inquiry committees; I am simply a supporter of efficiently functioning institutions, appointed for this purpose, to simply put such morons who made such decisions in prison - said Adam Jarubas on Polsat News.

08:37

Bosak on Ukraine: Perhaps We Need to Start Talking to This Country More Assertively

- If they continue to need fuel deliveries, arms deliveries, then perhaps they can consider our demands. Perhaps we need to start talking to this country [Ukraine] more assertively, because it's clear that PiS, PO, PSL, and Lewica have a huge problem with this - stated Krzysztof Bosak on RMF FM.

08:50

Bosak:

Getting Several Dozen MPs Will Be a Success

- I think getting several dozen MPs will be a success. Between 30 and 50 is several dozen. So, on average, one MP from each electoral district will be a real success, because in the last election we got 11 MPs and we are counting on having a good, strong team - stated Krzysztof Bosak on RMF FM.

08:53

Bosak on Early Elections: They May Happen

- I think they [early elections] may happen. It's one of the possible scenarios [that no one will form a government, and Confederation will not enter a coalition], but there are also others, for example, that the government that will be formed by the centrist-left opposition will be helpless, because it will be blocked by the president's veto and many constitutional institutions that have been taken over by PiS, and we will have a year or two of wrangling, followed by accelerated elections. A PiS government that very quickly loses its majority is also possible - stated Krzysztof Bosak on RMF FM.

09:06

Siemoniak:

The government's and President Duda's policy is erratic. Pouring oil on the flames is not in Poland's and Ukraine's interest
- This whole exchange of blows looks very bad. The policy of the government and President Duda is erratic – a few months ago we were boasting that we were leaders in supporting Ukraine, the Leopard tanks operation, and now PiS politicians are competing to attack and criticize. The blame lies on both sides, for sure. It's never just on one. However, it shows that if there is a public exchange of blows like this, it means something very bad is happening - said Tomasz Siemoniak in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on "Gość Radia ZET". - Pouring oil on the flames is not in the interest of Poland and Ukraine. Poland should look after its interests and reprimand politicians from other countries if we believe they are violating Polish interests or speaking untruths. However, this escalation is not in the interest of Poland or Ukraine. I would wish for us to look after Polish interests, but this fundamental interest of security. Ukraine is fighting Russia, it is on the side of the West, democracy, on our side. We cannot pour oil on the flames at this moment - he continued.

09:07

Siemoniak:

The Plan Revealed by PiS Concerns a Scenario Where Poland Doesn't Receive Immediate Aid. We Must Be Prepared for Such an Eventuality.
- This is a big lie. I will cite an undisputed authority here, former Chief of the General Staff, General Mieczysław Cieniuch, who, after what Minister Błaszczak did, after revealing classified documents, came out and said: the entire plan contradicts Minister Błaszczak's thesis. No one assumed that a part of Polish territory would be surrendered. However, accusing the military of having plans for every eventuality in sealed envelopes and locked drawers is exceptionally immoral and indecent - said Tomasz Siemoniak in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on "Gość Radia ZET". - Błaszczak and Morawiecki know perfectly well what the context of this standalone plan is, how it looks in its entirety. Accusing military personnel or politicians of wanting to surrender part of Polish territory to occupation is simply absurd and indecent. […] This plan, which they revealed, must of course be read together with other highly classified NATO contingency plans. This plan refers to a situation where Poland does not receive immediate assistance. This is unlikely, but we must be prepared for such an eventuality. The state must be prepared for various situations - he continued.

09:12

Bodnar on Gajewska: A Sacred Line Was Crossed
I believe we have an absolute constitutional right to spontaneous demonstrations. However, it has happened more than once in Polish reality that the police behaved unworthily and arrested individuals who are usually connected either with the opposition or with democratic circles such as the Lotna Brygada Opozycji. Here, it seems to me, what is particularly noteworthy in this case is that a sacred line was crossed. Because for me, the arrest of a parliamentarian is a sacred matter. This is the first case in history after 2015, or perhaps even after '89, of a parliamentarian being arrested in this manner – stated Adam Bodnar in the "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" program on TVN24.

09:12

Siemoniak:

Błaszczak Thinks Victory is Guaranteed if Only Victories are Planned – That's September 1939 Thinking.
- Minister Błaszczak thinks that if a plan only assumes our victories, then those victories will occur. This is the thinking from September 1939 that led Poland to disaster – said Tomasz Siemoniak on "Gość Radia ZET".

09:13

Bodnar on Elections: The Fact That the World Will Even Ponder This is Humiliating for Poland

- We have many factors indicating simply unfairness in the electoral process. I want to emphasize – not falsification of the election results, but unfairness. If we look at the presidential election results, there were indeed various doubts regarding elections in social welfare homes, where it turned out that President Duda received almost 100% of the votes in some places. However, unfairness encompasses everything that happens before. Please note that when elections were organized in Hungary, election day itself was a holiday, a holiday for democracy. Everything looked beautiful, colorful, nice, people went to the polls. However, all the bad things happened before, and unfortunately, we are observing this in Poland – said Adam Bodnar in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

- In a way, the world is approaching this by looking at the scale of the victory, but also the scale of various irregularities. This is a bit of international politics; it's not a black-and-white picture. But the fact that the world will even ponder [election falsification] is humiliating for Poland – he continued.

09:13

Bodnar:

Poland's Lack of a Migration Policy is Embarrassing, Especially Amidst Visa Scandal

- The very fact that we don't have a document called a migration policy, that the previous migration policy was repealed. Later, the government worked for two, three years on a new document. Then the work was halted, if my memory serves me right, at the end of 2021. This is embarrassing for the Polish state, that we don't have, we don't know at all on what premises, whom we want to bring in, whom we want to work with, how to grant visas, and on top of all that, we learn that there is simply a visa scandal, which consists of nothing more than corruption in obtaining Polish visas and visas for the Schengen system – stated Adam Bodnar in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

09:15

Müller Reveals Date of Mobilization Convention

- Regarding our program issues, we have already presented them at the program convention, and on October 1st, we simply have a mobilization convention to show energy for the last 2 weeks of the election campaign - stated Piotr Müller on TVP1.

09:16

Müller on the 'March of a Million Hearts': That's the Official Name. Tusk's Primary Goal is Polarization

- I'm not particularly interested in Donald Tusk's march, and I'm even less sure what it's about anymore, because it was previously about Ms. Joanna, and now I don't know what the march is for, as if it's unclear what it's about. That is the official name, and I think Donald Tusk's primary goal is polarization - stated Piotr Müller on TVP1.

09:17

Müller:

Lukashenka and Putin are capable of provocations to demonstrate destabilization, and this film will fuel many left-wing activists

- I think Lukashenka and Putin are capable of carrying out this type of provocation [like in 2021] precisely to demonstrate destabilization simultaneously. This film [Green Border], which is being shown, will fuel many left-wing activists to undertake some independent actions at the border, to try, for example, to attack the Border Guard, to undermine the actions of the Border Guard. So, after such a film, any potential provocations from Belarus will have an even more polarizing character because they evoke specific social emotions - stated Piotr Müller on TVP1.

09:18

Müller:

The European Commission Listened to Berlin, Not Ukraine
I think the European Commission primarily listened to Berlin, not Ukraine, to be honest, because German interests are also very important to the European Commission, and for that reason, these types of decisions are being made. Let's also remember that German companies have stakes in many firms on Ukrainian territory, and those are also Germany's interests. Besides, I also think it was meant to be a kind of political signal, although I have the impression that the European Commission doesn't fully understand how Poles approach this, because decisions like these, I think, simply infuriate Poles. That is, it shows Poles, as if on a platter, how the European Commission behaves in such matters – stated Piotr Müller on TVP1. - Even Donald Tusk and Kołodziejczak riding in on white horses to Brussels didn't help, half in jest, half seriously. It's clear that this game is being played on multiple levels here – he added.

09:19

Müller on Bosak's Statement: "Very Populist Expressions"

- These are very populist expressions [by Krzysztof Bosak]. We helped so that Russia would not be where the border with Ukraine is today, so that there wouldn't be a border with Russia. We have a short border with Russia, but it could have been many times longer if not for the appropriate help at that time, because if Ukraine had not withstood the Russian onslaught in the first weeks, we could have Russia on a much wider scale today, as far as the Polish border is concerned, and that was the reason we helped Ukraine. It was also about Polish security - stated Piotr Müller on TVP1.

09:20

Müller on Zelenskyy's Words: I also see statements from Ukrainian ministers that have somewhat toned down the mood
- I hope that these emotions will be calmed down after all. I understand that there is a war in Ukraine, and therefore various emotions are justified, but if you look at this matter very coolly, if you assess the formal and legal situation, it looks like this: Ukrainian grain cannot be imported into Poland at the moment (...), whereas Ukrainian grain can travel through our country - stated Piotr Müller in an interview with Dorota Łosiewicz in the program “Kwadrans Polityczny” on TVP1. - I can attribute this to the circumstances that the situation for Ukraine is generally difficult. However, as I said, when it comes to facts, they look like this, and I also saw some statements from Ukrainian ministers and deputy ministers yesterday that have also somewhat toned down the mood, for example, regarding the extension of the embargo. Therefore, I hope that in the end, everyone will approach this very pragmatically and as it actually is - he added.

09:28

Siemoniak:

I Always Defend the Polish Uniform, Especially Recently, So Soldiers Aren't a Backdrop for Party Conferences
- I am for the Polish uniform. I don't need any campaigns for that. I always defend this uniform, especially recently, so that soldiers in uniform are not a backdrop for party press conferences, something Minister Błaszczak and Prime Minister Morawiecki engage in with great pleasure - said Tomasz Siemoniak on "Gość Radia ZET".

09:34

Siemoniak:

We are all convinced, Tusk too, that Trzaskowski is an excellent presidential candidate in 2025
- It seems to me, from observing Donald Tusk's relationship with Rafał Trzaskowski, from Donald Tusk's statements in Tarnów, where we had a program convention a dozen or so days ago, that we are all convinced, Donald Tusk too, that Rafał Trzaskowski is an excellent presidential candidate in 2025. He is the president of Warsaw right now, he is supporting the election campaign. It doesn't seem to me that this is the case [that Trzaskowski would be put forward as a candidate for Prime Minister] - said Tomasz Siemoniak in "Gość Radia ZET".

09:38

Siemoniak:

No PO Government with Konfederacja
- There will be no government of Civic Platform with Konfederacja - declared Tomasz Siemoniak on "Gość Radia ZET".

10:08

Szłapka on Gajewska: Police acted on explicit orders from Kamiński and Wąsik
- Kinga Gajewska has immunity and absolute personal inviolability, and the police could not have done this. Whoever among us told the truth in this matter, it is not a valid reason to do what the police did on the explicit orders of Kamiński and Wąsik. I remind you – these are individuals already convicted by a court ruling for exceeding their authority. What we are dealing with now is absolute recidivism – said Adam Szłapka at a press conference in Poznań.

10:16

Obajtek:

Very Good Meeting with US Department of Energy Representative on SMR Cooperation
We are consistently building international partnerships around small modular reactor (SMR) technology, which has the potential to make our region energy independent. A very good meeting with a representative from the US Department of Energy concerned precisely the potential areas of cooperation on SMRs – informed the CEO of Orlen, Daniel Obajtek.

10:16

Sasin:

We Will Definitely Not Turn Our Backs on Ukraine. Defeating Russia in This War is in Our Interest

- There are very real relationships, real relationships where each country looks after its own interest. This is obvious, one could say a truism when it comes to international relations. Similarly, we must look after our own interest, although we have supported, continue to support, and will support Ukraine in its fight against Russia, because it is in our interest - stated Jacek Sasin in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

- We have transferred a truly large amount of weaponry [to Ukraine]. Support takes very different forms, and we will definitely not turn our backs on Ukraine, because defeating Russia in this war is in our interest. Russia is a mortal threat to Poland, to the entire region, to peace. It is in our interest for the region to be safe, for Poland to be safe, therefore the weaker Russia is, the greater our security is, and in this sense, of course, the war of the Ukrainians is our war, but regardless of that, we must look after our interests, and in this case, this interest between Poland and Ukraine is not convergent, I'm talking about agriculture - added the head of MAP.

10:17

Nowacka:

Duda said 'only pigs go to the cinema.' Mr. President, only pigs speak about their fellow citizens like that.
- Yesterday, President Duda allowed himself a remark that should not have been made in the public sphere at all, let alone by a president who, after all, declared himself to be the president of all Poles. His vulgar attack on a part of society, his insults – including towards creator Agnieszka Holland – are simply unacceptable. The President said: 'only pigs go to the cinema' – Barbara Nowacka said at a press conference in Poznań. - Mr. President, only pigs speak about their fellow citizens, both men and women, like that. Please reflect seriously on who you are, whom you represent, and whether you have a mirror at home, because if you do, I think it's really hard to look into it lately – she emphasized.

10:38

Sasin:

We Will Never Allow Energy to Become a Luxury Good

- We have proven throughout our entire period of government that we are a government that cares about the interests of Poles and we have never left Poles in crisis situations. And here I can also assure you that if such a threat as the editor is currently talking about arises, we will of course react and will never allow the price of energy in Poland for households to be prohibitive, meaning that energy will suddenly become a luxury good – stated Jacek Sasin on Radio Plus.

11:13

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

Without Food Security, There Is No Safe Poland
- We will and we promise to promote Polish food; that's why we are going into these elections, so that the Polish countryside wins, so that Polish agriculture wins, so that the best Polish food wins, on tables in Poland and around the world. This is our strategic goal, food security. Alongside energy security, it is the fundamental duty of the state to ensure food security for all citizens, and price stability and agricultural income stability for food producers - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during a press conference. - Without food security, there is no safe Poland. Without the development of farms and encouraging young people to stay in the countryside, there is no countryside that cannot be a bedroom for the city; it must be an efficient countryside, that's what we are advocating for. Allow us, as we implement our slogan "Enough Quarrels, Forward", to present our program wherever we are. I know that verbal skirmishes are very emotional, topics that heat us up for two hours are very emotional, but in reality, these elections are about the future and about issues that need to be resolved, that need to be dealt with - he added.

11:18

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

Today We See the Government's Defeat in Negotiations with Brussels and Kyiv
- The weakness of Polish diplomacy, the weakness of those governing, a lack of agency and the ability to achieve strategic goals for Poland. This is sad, because the Polish people gave the government a great argument, they opened their hearts, the doors of their homes, they showed the greatest help to their neighbor in the modern world [...]. The rulers, receiving such a contribution from the citizens of the Republic of Poland, from all of us, from the entire community, had a huge argument for setting specific political and economic demands and conditions, both in Kyiv and in Brussels, because in both cases we had an advantage that was not utilized. Today we see the government's defeat in negotiations with Brussels and Kyiv. They have suffered defeat on the economic and food security front, as well as on the front of historical policy, where they have not achieved the goals set by all of us for commemoration and respect for all those who were bestially murdered in Volhynia - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during a press conference.

11:20

Kosiniak-Kamysz on Ukrainian Representatives: They Quickly Forget How Much Good Has Been Done
- This is unfortunately a lack of solidarity, which should be two-way, because if we show our heart, then that should also be answered with kindness. This is very unfair behaviour. The words that have also been spoken by the highest representatives of Ukraine are simply dishonest and unfair towards Poland. They should not behave like this, they should not speak like this. They quickly forget how much good has been done – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during a press conference.

Rent Apartments More Safely with "Simpl.rent Service Code" from PKO Bank Polski
PKO Bank Polski has made the simpl.rent service available to individual clients looking to rent out their property, offering the ability to verify potential tenants before signing a lease agreement. The Simpl.rent service code can be purchased through the iPKO transactional service or the IKO mobile application. The service provides tools for remote verification of tenant credibility in three key areas: identity verification, income verification, and payment and credit history. The "Simpl.rent Service Code for Landlords" is another new offering within the PKO Bank Polski Platform for Additional Services. "As the largest bank in Poland, we aim to be more than just a financial institution for our clients. New technologies enable us to offer solutions that go beyond traditional banking services. Simpl.rent is an example of this – a proposition for individuals who want to screen the tenants of their apartments or houses. Offering such solutions also aligns with the bank's strategy, which includes the development of non-banking services through remote channels," emphasizes Mariusz Dymowski, Director of the Mortgage Banking Center at PKO Bank Polski. The tenant certificate – the Simpl.rent service code – is a solution that supports tenants, landlords, and real estate agents, enhancing rental security. The property owner purchases a special code through the iPKO website or the IKO mobile app, which allows for checking tenant credibility by verifying their identity, income, and payment and credit history. One code enables the verification of one tenant, who must also consent to such a check. On the iPKO website, the service can be found in the "Offers" tab, then successively in "Services and Purchases" and "Tenant Certificate." In the IKO mobile app, it's located under "My Products," followed by "Services and Purchases" and "Tenant Certificate." The solutions are provided by PKO Finat, based on the Simpl.rent company's service. Details can be found on the website: How to Check a Tenant? Tenant Certificate - PKO Bank Polski (pkobp.pl). Bank clients can benefit from a lower service price compared to the market offering. The service was implemented as part of the work on the digital mortgage, which is a key element of the bank's strategy for 2023-25. The tenant certificate is also another solution within the innovative system of non-banking services. Value-Added Services (VAS) are the bank's way of differentiating itself in the competitive financial market and responding to the evolving needs of young customers. Thanks to the globally unique PKO Platform for Additional Services, startups and providers from various industries can easily offer their services to the bank's clients. Bank clients can already purchase public transport tickets or pay for parking and highway tolls. VAS are part of the bank's strategy adopted at the end of last year, which focuses on modern customer acquisition and the development of non-banking services. Special Spot Before Holland's Film in Art House Cinemas. Ministry of Interior and Administration Decides

Yesterday marked the premiere of Agnieszka Holland's film, Green Border. I have been searching for a suitable word to describe this work for a long time, and I believe the best word to capture this film is a disgusting libel. This film depicts, in an extremely unfair, unwarranted, and damaging way, Border Guard officers, the entire formation, such a professional formation as the Border Guard, and soldiers. All those who defend the Polish border at the risk of their own health and lives. This film slanders the good name of Polish officers, policemen, and soldiers. In many aspects, this film is a damaging depiction for the institutions of the Polish state, for the Polish state, and for Poles – said Błażej Poboży during a press conference.

Since this film contains so many falsehoods and misrepresentations, presenting a false, untrue, and unfair image of all the officers I have mentioned, the formations, Poles, the Polish state, and the institutions of the Polish state, we, as the leadership of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, have decided that this disgusting libel will be preceded by a specially prepared spot in art house cinemas across Poland, which will highlight the elements that were missing from the film – added the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration.

Nitras:

Only Pigs Sit in PiS

- Yesterday, Mr. Andrzej Duda was kind enough, without knowing Agnieszka Holland's film, to say that only pigs sit in cinemas. We all know these words; they are the words of the underground state, of the Warsaw Uprising insurgents, of Poles, Polish patriots, who lived under German occupation. The context in which Mr. Duda utters these words and the person, the work to which these words are directed, are very important. This is not fascist propaganda. This is a work by one of, if not the most outstanding Polish female directors, who had the courage to speak about Poland during dark communist times, when Mr. Duda was still at school - stated Sławomir Nitras at a press conference in Szczecin.

- This is Mr. Duda's interference; these shameful words from the president place him in the same category as people like Gomułka or Stalinist regimes, which attempted, conducted witch hunts against creators, banned publications, and created colonels who confiscated paper - he continued.

- Duda's words today give me the authority to say that today, the statement 'only pigs sit in PiS' is more current, more true - Nitras added.

Tusk:

Our intention is to maximize the use of available resources in cooperation with the medical community
- Our intention is to work together with the medical community to maximize the use of available resources, so that the state begins to finance even when a hospital is treating patients and does not have the funds, but it is treating because they know they are there to treat, and then funds must also be found for that - stated Donald Tusk at a press briefing in Kalisz. - People must have the feeling that their work is also fairly assessed. You know, nobody goes into child psychiatry, nobody undertakes this effort because they dream of big money. These are people absolutely motivated by the desire to help these young patients, but they must be fairly compensated and fairly motivated to undertake this effort. I dedicate the words I heard from nurses and doctors to the authorities, because these decisions can be made regardless of whether there is a campaign or not - he added.

12:18

Tusk:

Today I heard bitter and very humble words from our hosts, asking the NFZ to pay for what the hospital has done

- Today I heard bitter and, in a way, very humble, modest words from our hosts. These were not words about earning more, but about the National Health Fund (NFZ) paying for what the hospital has performed. The hospital also has to pay for increasingly expensive electricity, for light, for heating - stated Donald Tusk at a press conference in Kalisz.

- The director rightly pointed out that lifting the limits, for this reason alone, will not increase the number of female doctors, male doctors, nurses, but it is a necessary condition. It is not enough, but it is a necessary condition to build a system for rational utilization of what we have at the beginning, so that an incentive system is created, encouraging more and more young people to come and save the lives of young people - he added.

Tusk on Pobożny's words: I have one message on this matter - they unleashed a rather vile campaign on this issue

- Poland is a serious country, even if for a long time we haven't had serious governance, Poland is a serious country. If Poland is to be shaken by some film, if the highest representatives, representatives of the authorities, the president, the prime minister, ministers, have engaged in reviewing a film, which they haven't even seen. You know, sometimes when I talk to my granddaughter and ask her if she liked a certain film, she answers me - 'Grandpa, I won't tell you anything about this film, because I haven't seen it yet'. She can afford such an answer, but these strange people cannot. These are strange people. If Mr. Ziobro is such a film enthusiast, he can write comments on Filmweb or reviews, if that is his calling. I have one serious message on this matter. They unleashed a rather vile campaign on this issue. The truth is that if anyone has insulted Border Guard officers, it is PiS. It is this government that, for payment, and sometimes through corruption, issued visas to nearly 300,000 people - stated Donald Tusk at a press briefing in Kalisz.

Did Kaczyński, Deputy Prime Minister for Security, Know About the Illegal Visa Scheme? New Civic Platform Spot Featuring Wołoszański
- Can we say that what is happening before our eyes and greatly concerns us is just a minor scandal involving a few officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and several dozen illegal immigrants? The government is stingy with explanations, so we must answer this question ourselves - says Bogusław Wołoszański in a spot published on KO's social media.

- Jarosław Kaczyński took office as Deputy Prime Minister for Security in 2020. One might consider it an excellent move, preparing the government for the coming bad times. Soon, a year later, a group of 32 illegal immigrants were detained at Usnarz. It would seem that the threat was growing, that an increasing number of immigrants were breaching our borders to pass through Poland further west, to enter European Union countries. The construction of a 200-kilometer fence began, which was supposed to stop this wave of illegal immigrants. But statistics indicate something else. From 8,000 in October and November 2022 to 470 in December. This investment cost 1 billion 600 million zlotys of public money - he continues.

- During this time, American services were informing our government about illegal visa trading. Did the Deputy Prime Minister for Security know about this? Was it carefully hidden from him? If so, who did it and why? The latter question seems the easiest, as revealing and counteracting it could have ruined the business - he states.

- Jarosław Kaczyński resigned from the office of Deputy Prime Minister for Security, saying: my mission has been fulfilled. But a huge number of questions remain. Did he know the answers to these questions? We, the nation, do not know, but we can count on these questions and many others finding an answer soon - he concludes.

Construction of a Modern Rapeseed Oil Pressing Plant Begins in Kętrzyn, Processing 1/7 of National Raw Material Production
In Kętrzyn, we are commencing the construction of a modern rapeseed oil pressing plant, which will be utilized in the production of low-emission biofuels. The facility will process 500,000 tons of rapeseed annually, which equates to 1/7 of the national production of this raw material. The choice of location took into account the significant agricultural potential of this region. By pursuing both business and environmental objectives, we are simultaneously creating conditions for long-term cooperation with Polish farmers, guaranteeing them a constant outlet for their products - informed Orlen CEO Daniel Obajtek.

Who Shops Online More: Poles or Spaniards? How Many Electric Car Batteries on European Streets Come from Poland, and How Many from Germany or Hungary? Polskanatle.pl Service Launched

The Polskanatle.pl service has been launched, presenting data illustrating economic development, social transformations, and Poland's position relative to other countries in various fields. The published materials are based on reliable, clearly indicated sources and include expert commentary from, among others, the Polish Economic Institute and the National Support Centre for Agriculture.

Who shops online more eagerly: Poles or Spaniards? How many batteries for electric cars driving on European streets come from the Vistula River region, and how many from Germany or Hungary? Which passport, Polish or Japanese, allows entry into more countries without a visa? How much of our GDP did we spend on armaments last year, and how much did our neighbours in the Visegrad Group? We don't ask ourselves these questions every day, but that doesn't mean they are trivial or unimportant. The most crucial thing is that the answers are based on verified sources.

"Interesting data and figures, comparisons, non-obvious juxtapositions, answers to many unconventional questions on a wide range of economic and social topics. A user-friendly format enriched with infographics. This, in short, is the Polskanatle.pl service, which aims to encourage reaching for sources and verifying information," says Mateusz Mrozek, Director of the Cyber Space Information Protection Division at NASK. "How do we compare to our neighbours, and what do we still need to work on? Who among us knows that we can boast a high position in terms of progress in cybersecurity? Meanwhile, in the ranking of digital advancement of citizens of European countries, i.e., the ability to use the internet and mobile applications, we are in 24th place. Only Greeks, Bulgarians, and Romanians are behind us," lists Mateusz Mrozek.

As studies show, over half of Poles get their knowledge about Poland and the world from online services. Social media is the fourth most popular source of information – after television, radio, print press, and online publications [1]. 45% of respondents use it. More than half (51%) claim to have encountered false information on social media, and 40% of respondents seek information from alternative sources. Eight out of ten adult Poles have experienced disinformation. According to them, too much false content found online divides society. Only 22% of respondents have encountered the activities of fact-checkers (institutions and services verifying information appearing in the media), and only 5% use their knowledge as a source of information.

The Polskanatle.pl service is a project implemented by NASK, which is long-term oriented towards building awareness of the quality of data and information in public debate. All materials that appear on the service are based on reliable data from sources such as public institutions, companies, research institutes, and associations. Additionally, the research methodology can be consulted. All this is to raise awareness about using credible sources and verifying and checking information in the face of challenges related to disinformation, especially in the online information space.

Civic Coalition Files Criminal Complaint Against Police Officers

Today, as the Civic Coalition club, we are filing a criminal complaint concerning the actions of police officers who carried out this unlawful arrest [of Kinga Gajewska]. They committed assault and battery, but we also demand that the prosecutor's office reveal the individuals who issued such orders. The police officers were aware from the very beginning who they were dealing with. The officers behaved like Kaczyński's political office, they disgraced their uniforms, and possibly committed a crime. But in addition, they prevented the public from being informed about the PiS visa scandal. This action was intended to intimidate those who participated in this event – stated Borys Budka at a press conference.

Oversight of Polish Police is in the Hands of Wąsik and Kamiński, Men Who Can Only Hold This Position Because a Party Colleague Pardoned Them

- No one in Poland has the right to be treated this way by the Polish police. No citizen, considering how Wąsik and Kamiński have involved the Polish police for years in suppressing legal protests. This is something for which they should be prosecuted. I will remind you that these two gentlemen, Wąsik and Kamiński, are two people who were already once convicted by a court of first instance for abuse of power. Today, the oversight of the Polish police is in the hands of men who can only hold this position because a party colleague pardoned them – said Borys Budka at a press conference.

Kaleta to Trzaskowski: How Much Did Warsaw Pay for the Production and Promotion of a Slanderous Film Against Polish Uniformed Services?

- This [film by Agnieszka Holland] is the biggest slander against Polish uniformed services in truly unforgettable times, the worst for Polish history. What was surprising was that the logo, the coat of arms of the capital city of Warsaw, appeared on the backdrop for this film. It turns out it wasn't by accident, because according to information from institutions subordinate to Rafał Trzaskowski, the capital city of Warsaw, along with the regional government of Mazovia, financed this scandalous production with an amount of 300,000 PLN. That is why I am asking Rafał Trzaskowski the question: how much did the capital city of Warsaw pay for the production and promotion of this slander against Polish uniformed services. Why is the production that tarnishes Polish border guards, soldiers, thanks to whom scenes that are everyday occurrences in Paris or other Western European cities are not happening in Warsaw today, being financed with the money of Warsaw residents? - stated Sebastian Kaleta during a press briefing.

Zandberg:

We Want to Strengthen the State Labour Inspectorate
- The Polish Labour Code is not bad; many of the regulations it contains should protect employees from exploitation, from mobbing, from situations where employers, for profit, force them to work in dangerous conditions. The problem, unfortunately, is that in many companies in Poland, the Labour Code is only theoretically in effect, and in practice, employees find themselves pushed onto precarious 'junk' contracts, forced to work unpaid overtime, and basic rights like the right to holiday, the right to sick leave, and the right to take family care leave are not necessarily respected by those who employ them - stated Adrian Zandberg during a press conference in Krakow. - These dishonest companies also constitute unfair competition to those economic entities that honestly adhere to Polish law and the Labour Code. Unfortunately, it is the case that these dishonest employers have become accustomed to the fact that it pays not to adhere to labour law, that the penalties for it are laughably low, that labour courts are slow, and that one has to wait years for a verdict that would reinstate an unfairly dismissed employee or decide on what they were owed from the very beginning. The Left exists to ensure this finally changes - he continued. - We want to strengthen the labour inspectorate and we have concrete, legal solutions on how to do it, so that when a labour inspector enters a company where they see abuses, they can act effectively, and also so that dishonest companies finally start to fear that when the inspectorate comes and identifies these irregularities, it will genuinely cost them […]. Firstly, greater powers for labour inspectors. […] An inspector enters a company, sees someone has an illegal, unfair 'junk' contract, that an employee has been forced into a contract that is contrary to Polish law, so they simply change it to an employment contract, and if the employer believes this is not acceptable, then let the employer approach the labour court - he added.

Scheuring-Wielgus:

As the Left, We Always Stand with Culture. An Artist Profession Act Needs to Be Introduced
- Law and Justice, over the last 8 years, has treated culture and artists in a very instrumental way. For them, culture and artists are individuals to be treated like this: if you are loyal to a given party, you will get something from the Ministry of Culture. If you are not loyal to the ruling party, we will certainly remove you from funding. Gliński is responsible for culture being treated instrumentally in Poland, and we on the Left believe that culture should be independent. No politician, no priest, or anyone else should interfere with what artists create, what producers do, what cultural institutions do – stated Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus during a press conference in Krakow. - For the last 8 years, Law and Justice has interfered with how cultural institutions function. In a very brutal way, Law and Justice has replaced directors of various institutions. It has treated the funds within the Ministry of Culture in a very instrumental way; funds that should be allocated to those who are the pride of Poland and bring it renown in the realm of culture. Law and Justice has led to the Ministry of Culture, for example, directing money towards fascists and towards very controversial institutions that should never have received any money, especially not from the Ministry of Culture – she continued. - As the Left, we always stand with culture, but this is also an area where such matters as the Artist Profession Act should be introduced. This is an act that lies on the table, developed by cultural communities, which talks about including artists and cultural professionals in the pension and social security system [...]. The act on organizing and conducting cultural activities should finally be improved. It cannot be the case that a minister, in this instance Gliński, unilaterally removes one director or another, and then installs his buddies or cronies in subsequent positions, individuals who have absolutely no experience in the cultural sector – she emphasized.

14:11

Scheuring-Wielgus:

We're saying it clearly - abolishing articles on defamation and offense to religious feelings from the Penal Code
- As Lewica, we are also talking about this and we have the courage to talk about it, that we should finally remove the article on offense to religious feelings and the article on defamation from the Penal Code. Very often over the last 8 years, politicians from Law and Justice have shamefully interfered in theatrical performances or films. The interesting thing is that they generally don't watch these performances or films, but of course they are the first to comment - stated Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus during a press conference in Krakow. - This second article on defamation concerns the entire journalistic community. It cannot be the case that journalists are dragged through courts and receive numerous notifications from prosecutors or politicians from Law and Justice, simply because they write the truth about this government. We, as Lewica, are saying it clearly - the abolition of the articles on defamation and offense to religious feelings from the Penal Code - she added.

14:13

Scheuring-Wielgus:

I'd Encourage PiS Politicians Not to Comment on Things They Haven't Seen
- I'd encourage politicians from Law and Justice not to comment on things they haven't seen. Truly, for 8 years, Law and Justice has repeatedly commented on films, on theatrical performances, on artists with whom they had no connection. Law and Justice has a tendency to judge things they haven't seen. First, you need to go to the cinema, buy a ticket, and then you can judge, and then we can assess whether we liked the film or not – stated Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus during a press conference in Krakow. - I encourage Kaczyński, Ziobro, Kamiński, Zalewska, Duda, and all those people now within Law and Justice who are commenting on films, this one or that one, to buy a ticket, contribute something to a given institution or cinema, and only then should they express their opinions – she added.

14:18

Hołownia:

They Tell Us to Show Respect to Polish Soldiers and Officers, While They Themselves Spit in Their Faces
- They shout "standing with the Polish uniform", and meanwhile, behind that uniform, they smuggle people across the border for money – people who bought visas with an eagle, with the inscription "Republic of Poland", from stalls in Africa or Asia. Is this security? Letting people into our country and the European Union who have not been verified or checked in any way. They tell us to stand by the wall at the border, they tell us, and rightly so, to show respect to Polish soldiers and officers, while they themselves spit in their faces. All this effort undertaken by the Polish army, Polish officers, is being sabotaged by this smuggling scandal, which will be one of the first things to be investigated by the next democratic government – said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

14:25

Hołownia:

We're Revealing Our Most Important Secrets Because Błaszczak Wants to Win the Election
- The Minister of Defence's disclosure of strategic assumptions regarding the security of the Republic of Poland, that these are plans from '11, that much has likely changed since then. Bridges haven't changed, roads haven't changed, the locations of many garrisons haven't changed. Like on a platter, no spies needed, no money, Russians are getting information from us on a platter about where troop concentration points will be, how deep the strategic depth will reach. We are revealing our most important secrets, why? Because Minister Błaszczak wants to win the election - Szymon Hołownia said at a press conference.

14:47

Hołownia on Duda's words: Disgusting, never again a president who calls Poles pigs
- Now there will be a civil war over Agnieszka Holland's film, this is what we need most today. People are dying in queues to see a doctor, 100,000 Polish companies are closing, there's a war beyond our eastern border, and they will now argue with us about a film. The President of the Republic will speak of Poles who watch a film he believes they shouldn't watch, calling them pigs sitting in the cinema, collaborators, comparing them to Volksdeutsch, to collaborators, those who sided with the Nazis after '39 - Szymon Hołownia said at a press conference. - Mr. President, two words to you, as a former presidential candidate: it was unworthy, unworthy of a president and the office you hold. [...] It was disgusting how the President of the Republic of Poland can suggest that a Pole is a pig because they watch a film he doesn't like [...]. In a normal country, films are discussed by critics, not by the government deciding to show straightening Polish film chronicles, like in the PR People's Republic, before any film, and the president calling fellow countrymen and countrywomen pigs - he continued. - Someone asked some time ago where [...] ZOMO used to stand. It would be good for him to ask himself today who is standing where Putin is standing today [...]. Never again politicians and a president who calls Poles pigs and Volksdeutsch - he went on to say.

14:51

Hołownia:

We're Dealing with a Government of Peeping Toms and Eavesdroppers
- This is further proof [of Pegasus use against, among others, General Skrzypczak] that we are dealing with a government of peeping Toms and eavesdroppers. These are very ugly traits, but it's evident they are unable to shed them and unable to let go of the conviction that because they are in power, they can do anything. They are allowed to circumvent procedures, they are allowed to eavesdrop on citizens, to spy on them, to violate their civil rights, and they believe they are above the law, above history, above justice, above everything, because the ends justify the means and sacrifices must be made – stated Szymon Hołownia during a press conference. - I don't know how long it will take to rebuild citizens' fundamental trust in the state after these scandals we are hearing about. It is a scandal to use operational tools without any significant reasons, on such a scale, without oversight, against political opponents or individuals expressing views that are inconvenient for the authorities. These are Stalinist standards, these are PRL standards, these are the standards of a communist state that assumed unlimited eavesdropping as it pleased and persecuted the opposition in thousands of ways. This is a return to the PRL – he added.

14:53

Hołownia:

The Opposition's Victory Should Be Even Stronger to Defend Against Political Bribery Attempts from the United Right
- I believe the opposition's victory should be even stronger, to solidify it, to defend against political bribery attempts from the United Right, which certainly, with various swindles and games they will try to play, seeing that the government is slipping away from them, power is slipping away from them - stated Szymon Hołownia during a press conference.

15:29

Morawiecki:

PO's Plan is to Let in Illegal Immigrants

- PO and the opposition voted against this barrier [on the border]. Because, in my opinion, PO's plan is to let in illegal immigrants here, it is the implementation of what we managed to defend Poland from. Because far from everyone wants to defend Poland from illegal immigration, from a surge that can lead to chaos and destabilization - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press briefing.

15:31

Morawiecki:

Holland's Film is Propaganda Paving the Way to Dismantle the Border with Belarus

- The film "Green Border" by Agnieszka Holland is just hitting cinemas. This film is propaganda paving the way to dismantle the border with Belarus. For me, it's absolutely unequivocal. The way the Polish uniform is slandered, the way the Polish uniform is vilified, the way officers and soldiers are insulted through this film, is something unprecedented and worthy of the highest condemnation. However, before this film, pseudo-elites are rolling out the red carpet, and I would primarily like to thank the Border Guard officers, the police, and the soldiers of the Polish Army for their excellent cooperation among themselves, with the population, and with the people living in the border voivodeships - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press briefing.

15:50

Kamiński:

The Eastern Border Issue is About Our Collective Security. Our Actions Target Poland's Enemies
- I have no doubt after conversations with soldiers and officers of the Border Guard and Police, those who are on the front lines there [on the border with Belarus] every day – these are officers and soldiers who will keep the oath they took. If necessary, they will defend the security of the Polish state and all its citizens, regardless of their political views, risking their own health and lives – Mariusz Kamiński stated during a press conference. - The issue on the eastern border is about the security of us all. Our actions there are directed against Poland's enemies, against the authoritarian regimes in Moscow and Minsk that are hostile to us. They are the ones who want to breach our border, who want to plunge Poland, our region, and all of Europe into chaos. Thanks to the wonderful stance of our soldiers and officers, they are failing and will continue to fail – he continued.

15:59

Błaszczak:

This Film is a Gift That Ms. Holland and Celebrity Circles Have Given to Putin
- Throughout our history, there have always been those who acted against Poland's interests. This was the case in the 18th century, before the fall of the Commonwealth, and it was the case later, but they always constituted a minority. Their actions were exploited by Poland's enemies. We can be sure that this wicked, deceitful film will be used by Poland's enemies. It is a gift that Ms. Holland and celebrity circles have given to Putin, because it will be used by anti-Polish propaganda - said Mariusz Błaszczak during a press statement.

16:33

Marczuk:

Investments in Ukraine Do Not Compete with Domestic Investments. It Will Still Take Some Time Before Polish Funds Flow to Ukraine in a Wide Stream
- Investments in Ukraine do not compete with domestic investments. It will still take some time before Polish funds flow to Ukraine in a wide stream, but we must prepare for this today to secure a favorable investment position. The role of the state is to mitigate the risks associated with Polish enterprises' investments in Ukraine's reconstruction, and to promote strong Polish sectors that have a chance of success in the competitive struggle with other Western countries and their investors – said Bartosz Marczuk, Vice-President of PFR, during a panel discussion titled: Is Poland Institutionally Prepared for Ukraine's Reconstruction? - The Polish Development Fund coordinates the activities of the entire PFR Group, creating solutions for Polish entrepreneurs. We are also participating in legislative processes aimed at facilitating investments supporting Ukraine's reconstruction – he added.

17:12

Scheuring-Wielgus:

If We Have to March on October 1st, We Will Certainly Join That March
- Of course, the opposition is cooperating with each other, of course we would like that image to be seen, for you to see seriously that we are cooperating with each other, and if we have to march on October 1st, then of course we will join that march - said Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus at a meeting in Krakow.

17:23

Scheuring-Wielgus to Duda: Because I Go to the Cinema, Am I a Pig? Your Words are Scandalous
- Mr. President, I have been a cinema enthusiast since childhood, so does that mean because I go to the cinema, I am a pig? Your words are scandalous, and indeed all the words that come from the lips of Law and Justice politicians regarding a film they haven't seen, are scandalous. We, as The Left, always and clearly state: no authority has the right to influence artists – said Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus at a meeting in Krakow.

17:55

Duda on Zelensky's Words: I Felt Sad, I Was Bitter
- He didn't mention Poland [Volodymyr Zelensky at the UN General Assembly forum], but of course, the suggestion was there and we all understood it. I felt sad at that moment, of course, because I considered what he was saying to be unfair. However, as more time passes, these emotions also subside for me, because I have them just like any other human being - said Andrzej Duda in an interview with Marcin Wrona on TVN24. - Perhaps 'angry' is too strong a word. I was bitter, I would rather say it like that - he stated. - I am speaking calmly, please do not raise the temperature, because this is a dispute concerning a certain small segment of our relations. […] Let's not allow it to cast a shadow over everything, because there is no justification for it, and only others will benefit from it - he continued.

18:01

Zandberg:

We're not seeking power to be the same as now, just to swap places
- Among those who broke the Constitution were brilliant lawyers who perfectly understood what they were doing, and it's not as if a 15-hour course will enlighten them and they'll suddenly know what they didn't know before, let's not kid ourselves - said Adrian Zandberg at a meeting in Krakow. - I had an argument with Sławek Nitras on this topic, who, after seeing the police scuffles of recent days, wrote that he would like to see Kaczyński now and exactly as they illegally dragged that Civic Platform MP, they would drag him the same way. I want to say: no. No, listen, because that's not how it works. We are not going into power just to be the same as now, but to swap places - he continued.

18:11

Duda:

Of Course Zelensky is Still My Friend. As Soon As the Opportunity Arises, I Will Definitely Talk to Him
- He [Volodymyr Zelensky] did not meet with me primarily because the meeting was scheduled precisely for 11:30 AM. It could not take place at that moment because I was standing on the podium and delivering a speech at the UN General Assembly - Andrzej Duda said in an interview with TVN24. - From my side, it could [have taken place later], I don't know about Volodymyr Zelensky's side. From my side, it could have. If the Ukrainian side had expressed such a need, the meeting could have taken place - he continued. - Of course [Zelensky is still my friend]. As soon as the opportunity arises, I will definitely talk to him, but we will certainly not be talking in the spotlight. Just as we have talked many times before, we will talk face-to-face, as two friends who want to resolve various difficult situations talk to each other - he emphasized.

18:15

Duda:

Prime Minister's words on sending weapons to Ukraine were interpreted in the worst possible way
- The Prime Minister's words were interpreted in the worst possible way. The Prime Minister was talking about this armament in the context of new armaments that we are buying for our army, that's what the statement was about. In my opinion, the Prime Minister said this: we will not transfer new armaments that we are currently purchasing as part of the modernization of the Polish army to Ukraine. That's how I understood that statement - said Andrzej Duda in an interview with TVN24.

18:18

Tusk:

Those Who Don't Know Life's Joys, Family Love, or the Pleasure of Sports and Fun Shouldn't Seek Power

- Those who don't know what life's joy is, what family love is, what the pleasure of sports and fun is, shouldn't push themselves into power. After all, everyone here in Piła, in Kalisz, where I am in Gdańsk, Sopot, Warsaw, everyone is looking for that happiness, that relaxation at times. Everyone normal in life also seeks love, and all of that are very political things, in the best sense of the word - stated Donald Tusk in Piła.

18:19

Tusk:

It's PiS that Tarnishes Their Uniforms

- It is they, it is PiS that tarnishes their uniforms, it is PiS that caused and continues to do everything to question the reputation of the Polish army or the Border Guard. Kaczyński, Błaszczak, Kamiński, and that whole gang are 100% responsible for this, not our soldiers, our border guards - stated Donald Tusk in Piła.

18:19

Scheuring-Wielgus on Konfederacja: Those Cool Guys, the TikTokers Talking About the Economy, Will Jail You If You Decide to Have an Abortion
- If you're hesitating and thinking to yourself: I'll vote for Konfederacja because they're so cool and talk about the economy, then I'm telling you: these cool guys, the TikTokers who talk to you about the economy, will put you in jail if you decide to have an abortion. These guys you think are cool, from TikTok, will punish you for making your own decision, and if you get raped, because it can happen, we never know what will happen, they will force you to give birth to that child, do you understand? These are the Konfederaci - said Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus at a meeting in Krakow. - The last thing about Konfederacja, a brown force that shouldn't be in parliament: PiS won't have a majority, we all know that, studies show it and it's unlikely to change. But PiS will do everything to have a strong coalition partner. And only this party, with that ugly letter "k", Konfederacja, is the only party that wants to be PiS's coalition partner. And don't believe the lies they tell, because they are of course saying now "no coalitions with PiS". That's a lie - she continued.

Duda:

We Cannot Transfer Our New Armament, Which We Are Currently Purchasing to Strengthen the Polish Army, to Anyone Else
- I spoke with the Prime Minister previously, a few months ago, regarding, among other things, helping Ukraine militarily. And we both held the same position – we cannot transfer our new armament, which we are currently purchasing for billions of dollars for the Polish army, to strengthen it, to strengthen Poland's security, to someone else, to anyone at all – said Andrzej Duda in an interview with TVN24. - I myself will be the first opponent of transferring this new armament, which we are now receiving, whether from South Korea or the United States – he added.

18:26

Duda:

We May Transfer Equipment Decommissioned from Polish Army to Ukraine, as We Did with Post-Soviet Arms
- Please remember that, first of all, we have signed contracts with Ukraine, such as the one for the delivery of Krab howitzers. This contract must be fulfilled, and we are fulfilling it all the time. We have other agreements with them regarding ammunition, including demining vehicles [...]. As we receive new armaments from Korea and the USA, we will also be freeing up the equipment currently in our inventory. It is possible that we will transfer this equipment, which is being phased out of the Polish Army's inventory, to Ukraine, just as we have done in the past by transferring post-Soviet armaments - said Andrzej Duda in an interview with TVN24.

18:27

Zandberg:

We Won't Tell Mentzen's Fairy Tales of 300-Square-Meter Villas and Two Servants for Everyone
- We will not tell Mr. Mentzen's fairy tales, that everyone will have a 300-square-meter villa and two servants, because firstly, these are fairy tales, and secondly, they are quite embarrassing. We are honestly saying that we are a party for 16 million Polish workers - said Adrian Zandberg at a meeting in Krakow.

18:28

Tusk:

Women Will Decide the Outcome of the October 15th Elections

- As a man, it's not easy for me to say that indeed women will decide the outcome of the October 15th elections. This is also because they truly have the most to lose. Imagine a situation where they could feel even more impunity than they do today. Imagine a situation where they continue to rule and think to themselves, 'See, we beat women in the street, even when they have immunity, we steal shamelessly with open windows, without any embarrassment, we are incompetent when it comes to addressing simple problems like Ukrainian grain, a recent loud case, yet we are extremely adept at trading respirators or visas, and everyone sees this' - stated Donald Tusk in Piła.

18:36

Duda:

Ukrainians Should Approach Our Situation with Greater Understanding
- Of course, the atmosphere became tense at the moment when President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had already finished his speech. I was indeed also disappointed, and there were very clear emotions on that side. It's hard to consider that there were no emotions given President Zelenskyy's statement; they were certainly there. I repeat once again: unnecessary. This matter needs to be resolved; there is a dispute, which is essentially more of a legal dispute. I believe, and this is my opinion, I am not changing it, that Ukrainians should, however, approach our situation with greater understanding. I understand that they are looking for a way out for themselves at any cost in their situation, and therefore, from that point of view, it doesn't matter to them where they sell their grain, but it does matter to us, and we want to help and are helping - said Andrzej Duda in an interview with TVN24.

18:36

Tusk:

They Can Call Me a German, But I Want to Win This Election and I'm Going for Victory So That Some Elementary Order Finally Reigns. In Foreign Policy, European Policy, Economic Policy, in the Tax System, the Judiciary.

- I want to tell you that certain traits that are so valued in Pomerania, in Greater Poland, because we were more under the influence of Western culture, you know, perhaps an elementary order is truly needed in Polish politics. They can call me a German, but I want to win this election and I'm going for victory so that some elementary order also finally reigns. In foreign policy, European policy, economic policy, in the tax system, the judiciary. Wherever we look, we need order after this incredible mess. I would like order to prevail again. Morawiecki has made a terrible mess in the economy and taxes, he called it the Polish Deal, just for irony, mockery. Actually, to spit in the face, I'll tell you honestly - stated Donald Tusk in Piła.

18:41

Duda:

I learned about the visa scandal from the head of one of our services. It was a long time ago, certainly not a few weeks ago.
- I learned about the visa scandal from the head of one of our services, who came to me on this matter to convey information. I cannot reveal the details. A long time ago. Meaning 'a long time ago,' the concept of 'a long time ago' is relative. Certainly not a few weeks ago. Well, let's say [it was this spring] - Andrzej Duda said in an interview with TVN24.

18:42

Zandberg on Big Tech Firms: We Must Tax Them Seriously
- The state budget relies on what hired employees pay in taxes, a little on what small companies and sole proprietors contribute, while these big corporations simply don't chip in to the common pot. [...] We must tax them seriously, so that the entire burden isn't pushed onto employees. [...] We need sectoral, industry-specific taxes that these companies will finally start paying - said Adrian Zandberg at a meeting in Krakow.

18:43

Poboży:

Our Ministry, Through an Intermediary Agency, Simply Purchased Commercial Advertising Time in Art Cinemas

- Cutting short absurd theories concerning the broadcast of the spot, I wish to inform you that our ministry, through an intermediary agency, simply purchased advertising time in art cinemas on commercial terms. In this way, we are carrying out an information campaign in defense of the good name of formations subordinate to the Ministry of Interior and Administration - wrote Błażej Poboży on Twitter.

18:45

Duda Asked if Rau Should Resign: We'll See What the Services Explain
- We'll see what the services explain. Let's remember that a minister always oversees, is responsible for their ministry - said Andrzej Duda in an interview with TVN24, when asked if the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Zbigniew Rau, should resign.

18:48

Tusk on the Referendum Question: I'm for finally building it, because they're crossing this wall as they please

- The question is: are you for dismantling the wall on the border with Belarus. Of course not. I am for finally building it, because they are crossing this wall as they please – Donald Tusk stated in Piła.

18:52

Tusk:

'Non-Partisan Local Government Officials' are a PiS Side Dish
You know very well who is behind this deceitful slogan 'Non-Partisan Local Government Officials'. We know very well who founded this committee, who finances it, but not everyone in Poland knows this. 'Non-Partisan Local Government Officials' sounds nice, perhaps they are looking for Rafał Trzaskowski on their list there? It is a side dish of PiS. I say this in an absolutely responsible manner, it is a committee that is meant to help PiS continue to govern – stated Donald Tusk in Piła.

18:52

Duda:

I find it slightly amusing that those who until recently tried to force us to accept migrants expect deep explanations from us
- I find it slightly amusing that those who until recently tried to force us to accept migrants within the quota system, who were crossing borders by force in other European Union countries where, as it turned out, there wasn't sufficient border control because they couldn't cope, and everything happened outside of control, are now expecting deep explanations [regarding visas] from us - stated Andrzej Duda in an interview with TVN24.

18:54

Duda:

'Only pigs sit in the cinema' - I was quoting the statement of Border Guard representatives
- It wasn't my statement, it was a quote [‘Only pigs sit in the cinema’]. I said clearly and unambiguously that I was quoting. I said that I was quoting a statement from representatives of Polish services, the Border Guard, who had watched this film and spoken about it in the media. I said I wasn't surprised if what they were saying was true, that it's a film that slanders the Polish Border Guard, that it shows them as almost sadists, and those were the statements, that it shows them as sadists, that it's a film in general reception that is anti-Polish. It shows a falsified image of Polish services. It shows us as a nation that doesn't want to accept others onto its territory, a nation that has recently accepted millions of refugees from Ukraine. This is making a film that is essentially anti-Polish, which is deeply indecent – stated Andrzej Duda in an interview with TVN24. - How do those people feel who today see that a well-known female director, instead of making a film about how Poles open their hearts and accept refugees fleeing Russian troops, is making a film slandering the services, Poles, and Poland. I do not agree with this, because I am the president and it is my duty not to agree with this – he continued. - I am very sorry if [people] felt offended by my words. I am not going to this film, I will wait until it is shown on some television channel. I am not going to the cinema to see it. I will not pay extra to watch it – he added.

18:55

Tusk:

Poles Deserve a Polish Government Capable of Protecting Polish Interests During Ukraine's Reconstruction

- Only a good and efficient government that knows how to organize European and global funds to help Ukrainians. Only an honest government that pursues a wise pro-Ukrainian policy and a wise migration and refugee policy. Only such a government can also honestly say and clearly present to everyone – this is what you will receive from us, this we cannot give because we cannot afford it, this is due to Polish citizens, this to Ukrainians or those from other countries. People must know the Polish government's plan, they must know what will happen after the war. Poland and Poles have invested so much heart, so much money, so much goodwill, therefore Poles deserve a Polish government that will also be able to take care of Polish interests when Ukraine is being rebuilt – stated Donald Tusk in Piła.

18:58

Duda:

Holland's Film Received with Joy in Minsk and Moscow, I Assure You
- This film ["Green Border"] was received with joy in Minsk and in Moscow too, I assure you - stated Andrzej Duda in an interview with TVN24.

18:59

Zandberg:

There's No Magic in Politics. The Great Revolution Hołownia Promised Has Become What's Left
- There's no magic in politics. It's not like you can explosively change the entire world overnight. Many in Poland thought so, and you all see that they exploded like meteorites and disappeared. You remember the latest example, the great revolution Szymon Hołownia was supposed to be, and what's left is what's left - said Adrian Zandberg at a meeting in Krakow.

18:59

Duda on Gajewska: I Understand That When the MP Invoked Her Parliamentary Immunity, She Was Immediately Released by Police
- Parliamentary immunity is important, but you have to invoke it. Therefore, I understand that when the MP [Kinga Gajewska] invoked her parliamentary immunity, she was immediately released by the police. The matter requires clarification. Everyone has the right to spontaneously express their views, and the services have an obligation to maintain order - stated Andrzej Duda in an interview with TVN24.

19:01

Duda to TVN24: The State and Other Media, You Help the Opposition So Much No Harm is Done. Fortunately, We Have Media Pluralism
- You are speaking with a person who in 2015 was a presidential candidate, I was attacked then by all the main media because Telewizja Polska was entirely in the hands of the ruling camp, meaning PO-PSL. Your television station unequivocally supported my opponent at the time. Other major media outlets, in their absolute majority, absolutely did not support me then, so I know what it means and I'm truly calm. You [referring to TVN24] help the opposition so much, and other media, radio stations, internet portals, help the opposition so much that no harm is done. Fortunately, we have media pluralism - stated Andrzej Duda in an interview with TVN24.

19:02

Tusk:

Discussion Begins in Europe Today on Whether Poland Can Be in the Schengen Area

- Indeed, a discussion begins in Europe today on whether Poland can be in the Schengen area. We are worried about the access road to Piła, and rightly so, but in a moment, we will be worried about not being in this borderless Europe - stated Donald Tusk in Piła.

19:02

Tusk:

These Elections Are Truly About Your Lives, Not Whether Kaczyński or Tusk Wins
I've seen things in the world where a bad team can turn the fate of an entire nation, and literally in a single day, through a bad choice. These elections are truly about your lives, not about whether Kaczyński or Tusk wins. These are elections about your lives, perhaps about your entire lives, which is why I implore you to mobilize – stated Donald Tusk in Piła.

19:05

Duda:

Authorities Always Use Their Available Potential to Support Themselves. These Are Simply the Laws of Life
- Authorities always use the potential they have at their disposal to support themselves. This is always the case, it has been, and it will likely continue to be, because these are simply the laws of life, stated Andrzej Duda in an interview with TVN24, when asked about the involvement of State Treasury companies in the referendum campaign.

- This was also the case during the times when I was conducting my campaigns as a representative of the opposition in Poland, and I was in opposition from 2007 to 2015. A long 8 years, I endured it very calmly, doing my own thing, consistently, within my capabilities, convincing my countrymen to vote for me, to change the government in Poland. I did this in various very difficult circumstances. I witnessed how President Lech Kaczyński, by whose side I stood, was slandered in the most vile way in the media. I saw that campaign of hatred, he continued.

19:19

Tusk:

No Matter What, Kaczyński Cannot Offend Me

- I did not answer your question that Kaczyński offends me so often, and I am not taking him to court or prosecution. Believe me, no matter what, Kaczyński cannot offend me - stated Donald Tusk in Piła.

19:24

Tusk on PiS Accountability: Will it Mean Prison Bars for Some? I Think So, But Condemnation by Public Opinion is Certain

- Democracy dies when the government that does bad things is not held accountable for what it has done. This is one of the foundations of democracy. Power must be accountable; the people and independent institutions must hold this power accountable, not election winners - stated Donald Tusk in Piła.

- I want to win so that public opinion, independent institutions, an independent prosecution service, an autonomous court, and honest media in the public eye – that this is what accountability will entail. Will it mean prison bars for some? I think so, but condemnation by public opinion is certain - he added.

19:34

Tusk on PiS: We Left Them a Thriving Poland. They Had Billions to Spend

- They had these great machines, everything in their hands, a good economic climate… We truly left them a thriving Poland. They truly had billions to spend - stated Donald Tusk in Piła.

19:38

Tusk:

A Million on October 1st

- If we speak with such conviction that on October 1st there will be a million of us on the streets. There will be a million of us on the streets of Warsaw - stated Donald Tusk in Piła.

20:24

Kamiński:

Social Advertisement Before Holland's Deceptive Film in Art-House Cinemas – That's What We Could Afford

- Given that the film you mentioned is a deeply untrue film, one that offends border guards, police officers, soldiers, our defenders of the eastern border, we decided that the leadership of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, in art-house cinemas, because that's what we could afford, would purchase a social advertisement before the screening of this deceitful and reprehensible film. This social advertisement will show the true political context of these events, because we are talking here not about illegal immigration, but about a hybrid war waged against our country by the regimes in Moscow and Minsk – stated Mariusz Kamiński in an interview with Edyta Lewandowska on TVP Info's "Gość Wiadomości".

20:40

Kamiński on Gajewska: She Tried to Disrupt Her Political Opponents' Meeting with a Megaphone

- This lady, Ms. [Kinga] Gajewska, is simply unacceptable to me, even shocking; she tried to disrupt her political opponents' meeting using a megaphone. The police did not intervene due to the views Ms. Gajewska expressed, but because she was drowning out a legal assembly of her political adversaries - stated Mariusz Kamiński on TVP Info's "Gość Wiadomości".

20:49

Lewandowska to Kamiński: TVN cameras suddenly appeared, purely by chance. Our suspicions are that it was a setup

I'm puzzled by the involvement of TVN cameras, which suddenly appeared, purely by chance, at that location. Our suspicions are that it was a setup – stated Edyta Lewandowska on TVP Info’s „Gość Wiadomości”.

Probably so. If someone is in parliament and hasn't been remembered in any way, through any substantive statement, or at least I haven't noted any, and that's why I don't really recall this lady, then they must draw attention to themselves in another way, meaning through some aggressive, unconventional behavior. But in reality, it's a complete lack of seriousness; a Member of the Polish Sejm cannot behave like that – replied the Minister of the Interior and Administration, Mariusz Kamiński.

21:11

Sikorski:

Anti-Ukrainian sentiment was long embedded in PiS's philosophy. Their only foreign policy approach is to incite against neighbors and allies

- The damage has already been done, and not only in Polish-Ukrainian or Polish-allied relations. The worst thing that happened is that Putin could have taken these words as encouragement, that Western determination is weakening, and therefore one must fight for a few more months and perhaps it will be possible to win. The fact that we need to arm ourselves is obvious, and the opposition supports the government in this matter, which seems to intend to spend 3% of GDP on defense, and that's very good - said Radosław Sikorski on TVN24's "Kropka nad i".

- We must remember that anti-Ukrainian sentiment was in PiS's philosophy for a very long time. Morawiecki went to Kyiv, it seems, only just before the war, or even after it started. And now they are competing with the anti-Ukrainian Confederation; please also remember that Mr. Kołodziejczak is a candidate in our Civic Coalition (KO). So PiS is afraid of the votes of Polish farmers, because Polish farmers see that [the government] has failed the grain issue. And now they will take it out on Ukraine. You know, they also don't know how to conduct foreign policy; their only way is to incite against neighbors, against partners, or to confront, to confront the EU, to confront Germany. And now they have come up with a brilliant idea to confront Ukraine, which is fighting for its life. It is so irresponsible, so stupid that words fail – he added.

21:12

Sikorski:

Kaczyński is the kind of guy that when he enters a room, the chairs start arguing with each other

- Polish foreign policy is not, after all, run by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, or even the Prime Minister. Only by Kaczyński, who is the kind of guy that when he enters a room, the chairs start arguing with each other. They wanted an alliance with Israel, they ruined it. With Great Britain, they ruined it. We know what the relations with the EU are like. With Germany, we know - Radosław Sikorski said on TVN24's "Kropka nad i".

21:12

Sikorski:

This fits into the worst, Stalinist vibes, for power to censor

- They want to win elections, just as they won the European elections, where it seems the film "Kler" helped them, so they want to mobilize their base. But this is exceptionally nasty. It seems that Władysław Gomułka threw his shoe at the screen of Polański's film, "Knife in the Water," after which Polański left the country. So this fits into the worst, Stalinist vibes, for power to censor – said Radosław Sikorski on TVN24's "Kropka nad i".

21:23

Obajtek:

We Granted 480 Aid Packages for Firefighter Equipment and Specialized Gear
For years, we have been supporting those who ensure our safety. In this year's edition of the "ORLEN for Firefighters" program, we have provided 480 grants for the purchase of equipment and specialized gear. We wish all units of the Volunteer and State Fire Brigades safe service – informed the CEO of Orlen, Daniel Obajtek.
