On May 11th and 12th, during the Impact’22 conference in Poznań, another edition of the discussion series within the Green Economy path will take place.
Changes in the modern world, such as technological development, climate, political, and economic shifts, have contributed to the emergence of interconnected practices that can balance environmental and social goals for the benefit of everyone: nature, citizens, and businesses.
Green Economy is an economic model where human well-being and social equality are prioritized, while simultaneously reducing environmental threats and ecological scarcities, and achieving sustainable development without environmental degradation.
During the May conference
Impact’22 in Poznań, there will be time to debate the opportunities and challenges of the green economy, with top managers from major global companies, scientists, and world-class experts participating.
The green economy is crucial for global prosperity, as it forms the foundation for economic growth and development while ensuring that natural resources continue to provide resources and environmental services. The green economy is a driving force and will be a catalyst for investment and innovation towards sustainable growth and new economic opportunities.
Guests of Impact’22 will discuss how the Green Economy model can bring new benefits to Europe, such as entirely new jobs: from waste designers to consultants for home renewable energy installations and climate specialists, and how new technologies will help Europe become climate-neutral by 2050.
In Poznań, speakers will also address the challenges the green economy poses to Europe. Guests will take positions on reducing emissions by further increasing consumption and will answer questions on how to move away from a culture of single-use products and mass production, as well as how to ensure that 'green' trade initiatives truly benefit the environment and reduce emissions. Furthermore, the discussion will cover the impact of the current geopolitical situation on energy transformation.
