Russia is waging a hybrid, cognitive war, trying to pit us against each other, among allies, against fighting Ukraine, and meanwhile, we will show that the alliance is not only united but, with the accession of Sweden and Finland, strengthened, and that it would be great recklessness and madness if Vladimir Putin decided to test NATO's unity with some ill-considered actions - stated Radosław Sikorski at a press briefing at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

- Poland is very intensively preparing for various scenarios. I have no intention of frightening anyone, but these coming months, also due to the slightly changing nature of the war in Ukraine, can be truly critical. Particularly in the Baltic states, these concerns are palpable. Let us not be afraid, let us prepare for various situations, but we cannot underestimate this. We are aware of the threats, also thanks to information from our allies - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

- Let's not fool ourselves, my influence on the decisions of President Trump's administration is moderate. So I don't know the answer to the question of how Americans will behave after this decision - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

- Our American allies have a weakness for today's opposition, a political weakness, including Minister Ziobro, so I don't know if the fact that a Polish court upheld the decision regarding Ziobro, and the Hungarian government, elected by a crushing majority of Hungarians who have opened their eyes and see what is happening in this matter too, which was also a loud topic in Hungary, made a decision we were waiting for, regarding Mr. Ziobro, Ms. Kotecka, Mr. Romanowski. So on the Polish, Hungarian side, what people have been waiting for, what I expected, has happened - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

- I have waived my immunity [...] a foundation associated with Mr. Ziobro has decided that my information about them being financed by Zondacrypto and that right-wing politicians, including Minister Ziobro, could count on financial support from Zondycrypto, they want to take this to court, I am glad, this will probably also be a good opportunity to reveal all these threads that further confirm the involvement of right-wing politicians in promoting and lobbying for cryptocurrencies [...] the actions of Zondacrypto, including actions that raise so many legal doubts - Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at a press conference.

- I don't want to disqualify anyone. I know I am the Prime Minister, I should choose my words carefully, but of course I'm not retracting; this impression of the low credibility of the people directly involved in this conflict is obvious and profound. And I am convinced that this is not the end of the story. So it's up to the media whom they invite, whom they believe, whom they don't - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

- In Poland, we have free media, and you do what you deem appropriate, but since it's worth realizing that someone came to the media and said that many months ago they witnessed or had knowledge of very serious crimes and waited many months. It seems that someone credible, having the presumption that someone contributed to a death, that someone is stealing money, that someone is breaking the law and standards, cannot wait for some number of months and then go to the media, but should notify state authorities immediately upon gaining such knowledge. So in that sense, this credibility seems dubious to me, and I will not change my opinion here - he continued.

- I also appeal to all local governments. I don't have direct power here, but I think that local government officials across Poland could also consider whether such full depoliticization of local government companies wouldn't also benefit the reputation of local governments. Wherever it is possible - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

- I will propose a full review of all supervisory boards concerning State Treasury companies, and I believe this is a strong argument, naturally somewhat disqualifying these people. In a discriminatory sense, perhaps that's the word I would use, but for the sake of hygiene, it would be better if party members, regardless of their party affiliation, were not on supervisory boards. One can always resign from their party membership and state that they are moving into public service, thereby relinquishing their party membership - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

- At the moment, I have a couple of important problems to solve on my plate, and I am counting on Ms. Pełczyńska-Nałęcz. We are currently finalizing an important package concerning the KPO, the so-called next revision, where we are improving further weak elements of the plan that Morawiecki had prepared. It's a very complicated procedure. To extract this money from the EU, despite the mistakes and omissions of my predecessors, so Ms. Pełczyńska-Nałęcz will still have an opportunity to demonstrate her effectiveness in this action in the coming days - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

- At this moment, a conversation between the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and his Ukrainian counterpart is underway, perhaps it has already concluded. I have signals that Ukrainian politicians have understood that escalating tensions, which they are responsible for – these signals coming from Kyiv ignited this dispute, harmful from the perspective of Poland and Ukraine. I have signals that this has apparently reached the consciousness of the Ukrainian side, that it's worth seeking ways for an honest conversation [...] and not worth escalating this tension - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

- The issue of places, VIP lounges [...] notebooks, meaning skipping queues, millionaires who earn those millions either unlawfully [...] or by abusing the system, this must end – said Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

- These are only the three main topics, and if I don't receive satisfactory, precise recommendations by Tuesday, I will make appropriate decisions on Wednesday, including personnel changes – he continued.

- We are finalizing work on central e-registration. Today, I also issued an order to expedite this work to the maximum. [...] It must start operating no later than the end of the year - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

- I am concerned with what does not require legislation, because that will always be burdened by the risk of a long debate in the Sejm and Senate, and then always the risk of a veto, so I am looking for solutions that do not require statutory paths, and this central e-registration is fortunately a regulation - he continued.

- This should very effectively, perhaps not eliminate 100%, but limit to the minimum this immoral, unacceptable mechanism of bypassing queues - he went on to say.

"A much more common problem is the so-called hospital notebook. That is, a notebook containing the names of those who deserve better treatment. This involves bypassing the queue, sometimes a separate room, but mainly bypassing the queue. And this is something that arouses absolute opposition and is unacceptable," said Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

- We are aware, and I will soon present some rather grim statistics, that these degeneracies are not confined to just one hospital and that systemic solutions and actions by the National Health Fund and the Minister of Health are needed to tackle these most outrageous practices first and foremost - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

- I am referring here to the so-called VIP lounges. For the National Health Fund and for the ministry, the task is simple: this phenomenon must disappear. In accordance with the law, the Constitution, and decency, access to medical services in public healthcare should be equal - he continued.

- I expect precise steps from the ministry and the National Health Fund that will allow us to deal with this phenomenon, and effectively immediately - he added.

- For the government and for me personally, the most important thing is to effectively halt these degenerations, to eliminate the degenerations and abuses that are the result not only of the ill will of individual doctors, as I am convinced, but are also the result of a flawed system - Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at a press conference.

- I want to emphasize very strongly that there will be no leniency towards these events - he continued.

- I have no doubts, and this is the primary commandment for me in this entire matter, that the issue of the Southern Hospital is now a matter for the prosecutor's office and the consequences arising from the audit and control process. Resignations at various levels of people responsible for the situation at the Southern Hospital have already occurred, including today's resignations of two Deputy Mayors of Warsaw – Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at a press conference.

- This is not only a pleasant and important, honorable event, but also a kind of statistical exercise, perhaps more than statistical, because your presence here and the fact that I have met with new professors three times already shows that the Polish academic, intellectual, and scientific world is ambitious, is achieving further scientific degrees, ultimately reaching the pinnacle of the professorial title - said President Karol Nawrocki during the ceremony of presenting professorial nominations.

- There are many who are ready to take responsibility for the development of Polish science - he continued.

- Without Polish science, without this foundation, it will simply be impossible to build a strong, secure, and well-developing Republic of Poland - he continued.

- I have also obligated the heads of municipal medical facilities to re-examine all complaints and concerning signals. There is to be zero tolerance for crooks and cheats. They must be tracked down and ruthlessly eradicated. Zero leniency for those who invoke connections and influence. Anyone who wants to circumvent procedures, bypass queues, should be disappointed and sent away empty-handed - stated Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference.

- Today I am taking a step further. The standard concerning de-politicization will be extended to other municipal companies, management boards, and supervisory boards. To leave no doubt that party politics can influence control over companies. The rule will be very simple - individuals serving on management boards and councils will have until the end of July to make a clear decision - either work for Warsaw, or be a member of a political party - stated Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference.

- Today, I received the resignations of President Renata Kaznowska and President Aldona Machnowska-Góra. I have accepted them. I want to state immediately that I am not assigning blame, but in public affairs, expectations, and thus responsibility, are simply higher than in private life. This is about the highest standards that the residents expect - stated Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference.

406 deputies voted in favor of the Council of Ministers' motion for the Sejm of the Republic of Poland to grant consent to extend the temporary restriction on the right to apply for international protection at the state border with the Republic of Belarus. 16 deputies voted against, and 5 abstained.

- I think let those currently doing it simply fix everything - said Włodzimierz Czarzasty on TOK FM, when asked if the Left was ready to take over the Ministry of Health, after the Marshal of the Sejm made remarks about the possibility of "considering radical personnel changes."

- There was a recent vote regarding Ms. Sobierańska-Grenda in the Sejm - he continued, when pressed if this was not the moment for Sobierańska-Grenda's resignation.

- Anka Żukowska, the head of the parliamentary club, said this: we give you our support because you are a member of the government in which we are part of [...] but you must immediately implement radical changes, and we will support these radical changes, courage, meaning: if someone in the government, if the Ministry of Health proposes radical changes, you have the Left's votes on this matter, I mean, whether it's personnel changes or structural changes - he went on to say.

- There was no discussion on this topic in the coalition. When it comes to the government, the Prime Minister shapes this government; I will not dictate the shape of the government to the Prime Minister - said Włodzimierz Czarzasty on TOK FM, when asked about rumors concerning the removal of ministers Cienkowska, Sobierańska-Grenda, and Żurek.

- If we allow this to happen in these relations, which, I must honestly say, this deterioration was initiated by Zelensky, meaning, his move was simply, in my opinion, [...] calculated for domestic politics - said Włodzimierz Czarzasty on TOK FM.

- If we continue to wade into this absurdity, what has Mr. Nawrocki's policy generally achieved at the moment, other than him gaining 7 or 8 percentage points more - he continued.

- Ukrainians made a damn mistake, but should we be dumber? Escalation of mistakes will never lead to a good outcome - he continued to say.

- I don't know, I'll call them today, I'll see if they support it or not, I haven't consulted with them - Włodzimierz Czarzasty said on "Poranek TOK FM," when asked by Jacek Żakowski whether Left MEPs would support an amendment to the resolution on Ukraine's accession to the EU, which condemns Volodymyr Zelensky's commemoration of the UPA. The amendment was submitted by the EPP.

- I will tell them: I wish you reason, because I talk a lot about this Ukraine and I think we are heading for a wall on this issue, and truly, I say this without emotion, although I am clenching my hands underneath, this is work that Putin will rejoice in - he continued.

- Instead of securing Polish interests, Polish farmers [...] instead of signing the biggest possible contracts for Polish workplaces, for Polish employees [...] we are sowing hatred - he went on to say.

- It's not that my party is managed single-handedly. I will call Śmiszek, Scheuring-Wielgus, and Biedroń right away and ask them what they think about this matter. [...] But I won't try to persuade them, I've simply had enough of this hatred - he added, when asked if the Left in the EP would join in sowing hatred.

At 8:30 AM, a press conference by PiS MPs will begin in the Sejm.

Sejm Votes

Friday marks the last day of the Sejm's session.

At 9:00 AM, votes will commence, including on the government's draft bill on a windfall tax for fuel companies and the presidential draft bill introducing a ban on keeping domestic animals on a tether.

The first reading of the presidential draft amendment to the Act on the Institute of National Remembrance and the Penal Code is scheduled for 10:30 AM. This concerns the clarification of provisions defining crimes committed by, among others, the UPA.
