- That holy war is raging there, how to preserve a model that is so beneficial to Ukrainian elites and at the same time try to convince the West that they are on the right path and on course - said Wojciech Balczun in the "Morning Conversation" on RMF FM.

- I have the impression that they don't realize how this will resonate and how deep a chasm it has actually dug between us - Wojciech Balczun said on RMF FM.

- They have a somewhat [...] situational approach, so they think, "Okay, today we need this because the topic is beneficial for us, because we're building capital, but in a few months it will change, we'll sit down at the table and talk as we usually do and look for our interests" - he continued.

- They don't understand that they've struck a very sensitive chord, which is super important to us, and it will resonate and affect our relations - he went on to say.

- Well, we will certainly see [how much prices will rise at petrol stations tomorrow], it will vary from station to station. We know that the differentiation between stations is often high, even within one city, one province, so of course these changes will differ at different stations - said Andrzej Domański in a conversation with Marcin Fijołek in Polsat News' "Graffiti".

- No, as I said, I will not provide such calculations at the moment. We know that the CPN package, it was communicated very clearly from the very beginning, was a temporary package, related to the situation in the Middle East, to the war in the Middle East, to the fact that oil prices shot up to even 115-116 dollars per barrel. Today it is 70 dollars - he continued.

- I remember, we discussed in this studio what if, what would happen if oil was at 150 dollars per barrel? Fortunately, this scenario did not materialize. Our government introduced the largest shield package for drivers in Europe, both lower excise duty and VAT. And from the very beginning, we said that these were temporary solutions - the Minister of Finance emphasized.

"The conference in Gdańsk, which I assess very positively, meaning I consider it a great success for Poland above all, was perfectly organized [...] At the same time, the fact that Zelensky did not fly or arrive also meant that it had a much larger business dimension, and at the business level, as always, pragmatism counts" - said Wojciech Balczun on RMF FM.

"I have the impression that trade unions, for the most part, though not all, I don't want to generalize, are pursuing a political agenda rather than genuine concern for the company," said Wojciech Balczun on RMF FM, when asked if JSW faces bankruptcy and if signals from employees and trade unions are not good.

"We dedicate every day to JSW, and some statements, some published materials, unfortunately, hinder the process of securing financing, because currently [...] the management is in the process of obtaining commercial financing, and such international funds are very carefully observing the prospects," he continued.

"The loss over the year has been halved. [...] A restructuring program is being implemented, one-off severance payments are being introduced, and mining leaves, which are financed with an amount exceeding PLN 500 million, are now starting," he further stated.

"There is still a liquidity gap, which we identified a few months ago, and we are fighting by all means to ensure the company survives this period. Prospects and market signals offer a slight cause for optimism, but without deep restructuring, JSW will not survive on its current financial model," he concluded.

- Regarding tax solutions, we are, of course, working on them. Coalition talks are also underway in the Ministry of Finance. Discussions are also beginning, slowly discussions are starting on the budget for 2027, so let's give ourselves a little more time here - stated Andrzej Domański in "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

- There are no such talks [that I need to find money for an electoral gift]. Our government is pursuing a very pro-investment policy in the economic sphere. We see this in many areas, including energy transformation. I am also focusing on ensuring economic growth. This, I believe, has electoral implications. Inflation, despite what happened with oil prices, is being kept at a low level - the Minister of Finance continued.

- We remember, under the rule of PiS, it reached even 18% at its peak. That high cost of living hit Poles' wallets. So, answering the editor's question - of course, we are working on solutions for 2027. Civic Coalition is also working on an electoral strategy, on specific solutions that we will discuss, but that will be only in 2027 - he added.

- Minister Szłapka, with whom we speak daily, is of course right in saying that the Ministry of Finance is analyzing possible solutions for changes to the tax system. Many changes and proposals for changes are emerging, and our coalition partners are also submitting them. I recently had a meeting with representatives of PSL. - I will also meet with Minister Pełczyńska-Nałęcz to discuss the proposals submitted by Poland 2050. We also have, I would say, regular contact with The Left regarding their proposals, but of course, all of this must fit within economic realities. The economic realities are that we have high economic growth dynamics, low inflation, but at the same time, we are spending 5% of our GDP on security - he continued.

"I would also like to debunk one more thing, because such information is appearing, that everything that is being done around JSW boils down to us wanting to sell it to someone for a zloty. There is no such option. There is no such plan. We treat the company as a strategic state asset" - said Wojciech Balczun in RMF FM.

- This radical left turn in Minister Pełczyńska-Nałęcz's rhetoric is probably visible to everyone, so I would probably agree with the general sentiment expressed by Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz. Every party naturally has the right to shape its narrative, including on economic matters, and to change it. - Here we are dealing with, probably, this unnecessary tension in Polish-Ukrainian relations. I believe these moves from the Ukrainian side were absolutely unnecessary and do not serve Ukraine, nor do they serve the building of its security. - We know how the whole story began, and this kind of growing nationalism, growing hostility on both sides, including in public debate, including what is appearing more and more often now on social media, hate, frankly speaking hate, this really serves no one.
