Sobierańska-Grenda on Health Education as a Mandatory Subject:

We're Probably Starting to Mature Towards This Decision.

- I think that from what I'm observing at the moment, we are indeed probably starting to mature towards the decision that health education is needed in schools as a mandatory subject. And of course, setting aside all the disputes that concern ideology, I am in favor of us providing health education - stated Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda on PR3.

Cenckiewicz on Middle East intel report:

It's a sign that Poland could become a target for some terrorists.

- But what would we discuss there with all representatives of political parties and government representatives? Well, unless some catastrophe occurs related to the imprisonment of Polish citizens who cannot get out of there, and if the situation demanded it. But it seems to me that at this stage it is completely unnecessary - said Sławomir Cenckiewicz in "Gość Radia ZET", when asked if the President plans to convene the National Security Council in connection with the war in the Middle East.

- Or if there was a drastic increase in the terrorist threat in Poland. Yesterday, from an intel report I received, an Iranian representative on Al Jazeera pointed to Poland as an ally of the United States, which has been noted in various types of our information. This is, of course, a certain lead, a certain sign related to the fact that Poland could become a state targeted by some terrorists - he indicated.

- But for today, there is simply no need. The President is being informed, the National Security Bureau (BBN) is also being informed, and he himself is like a producer of a lot of information, he is also an intermediary in relations between the government and the president. Today, there is the Security Committee [...] and there is a representative of the BBN there. It seems to me that there is no such need for now - he assessed.

Cenckiewicz on the Publication of the WSI Annex:

We Are Getting Closer.

- I doubt it will be in March, but we are getting closer [to the publication of the WSI annex]. Very, very close - Sławomir Cenckiewicz said on “Gość Radia ZET.”

- Certainly in March, the President will receive a proposed version of this annex, which had to be somewhat anonymized due to a Constitutional Tribunal ruling. That is, the President will receive a version after much analysis and work, which will allow him to finally decide on the disclosure of the annex - he explained.

Cenckiewicz:

I Don't Believe France Will Share Its Nuclear Potential with Poland

- I don't believe, shall we say, that France will share its nuclear potential, even with such a wonderful ally as the Republic of Poland. I simply don't believe it, because one needs to understand this - said Sławomir Cenckiewicz on "Gość Radia ZET" (Radio ZET Guest).

- France defines its sovereignty, and independence in general, through the prism of its possessed weapons, and its conflicts within the NATO structure since the 1950s, withdrawing from military structures, and so on, are somewhat related to France wanting to have 100% control over its nuclear arsenal, which it doesn't want to share. It doesn't want to share it in the way Americans do within Nuclear Sharing. I apologize, but is France building its Nuclear Sharing? No, I don't think so - he continued.

Talks with France on Nuclear Deterrence? Cenckiewicz: As the National Security Bureau, We Know No Details

- Minister Przydacz said that the President and his office are dealing with foreign policy, but I can also confirm from my perspective, as head of the National Security Bureau, that we know no details of such talks, negotiations [with France on nuclear deterrence]. If I'm not mistaken, a Polish-German military agreement was announced for March. We also know nothing about it. History is truly silent on this matter - said Sławomir Cenckiewicz on "Gość Radia ZET".

He was referring to the Prime Minister's post from yesterday.

Sobierańska-Grenda:

We Need to Consider How to Structure the System So Money Actually Reaches the Patient

- We are certainly observing what is happening in Europe, and in Europe, we often compare ourselves to the GDP we are aiming for. We are on the right track, the budget is increasing record-high each year - stated Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda on PR3.

- This means [there are shortages] in limited benefits, but not in life-saving treatments or unlimited benefits. However, I think there comes a point where we genuinely lack revenue from health contributions - she continued.

- Up until - let's say - 2023, what flowed in from health contributions was sufficient. Today, we already know that we need support from budget subsidies, and this is the situation we are discussing. However, the funds are indeed record-breaking. I remember just a few years ago, when the budget of the National Health Fund and hospital budgets in general, at least for the hospitals I had the pleasure of managing, were around PLN 300 million. Last year, it was already PLN 1.2 billion, so every healthcare provider feels these very significant increases. However, we must consider how to organize this system so that this money actually reaches the patient and guarantees patient safety - she emphasized.

Cenckiewicz:

Anyone thinking Poland can build offensive capabilities against an enemy on their territory, like the US and Israel, is mistaken

- I don’t understand it at all. What does the Gulf War have to do with [the president's decision regarding the SAFE act]? If anyone thinks that Poland will build operational, military capabilities thanks to SAFE that will allow us to attack our enemy on their territory on the scale that the United States and Israel have done, then they are of course mistaken. Well, unless they are thinking about SAFE in the context of how Iran failed to defend itself against a massive attack by the United States and Israel - said Sławomir Cenckiewicz on "Gość Radia ZET".

Closer to Signing the SAFE Act or Further Away? Cenckiewicz: Poland's Survival Doesn't Hinge on It, Yet It's Portrayed That Way

- The world before and after SAFE will truly exist, and the world of Polish armaments will and will continue to exist. So, regardless of whether the President signs it or not, Poland must have its capabilities on standby across the entire security spectrum. This means we must be secure here and now, irrespective of whether some law passes or not - Sławomir Cenckiewicz stated on "Gość Radia ZET".

When asked if, as of today, we are closer to the signature or further away, he replied: - I don't know. I listened to the President yesterday in Mikołajki. He spoke reasonably on the matter, also pointing to the emotion involved. […] Truly, Poland's survival or demise does not depend on this, yet it is being framed that way.

08:22

Cenckiewicz on the President's decision regarding the SAFE Act:

He has three weeks.

- He has three weeks [for the president to make a decision on the SAFE Act], counting from Friday, because there were media reports that the act reached the President on Friday. I haven't verified this. It probably arrived on Friday, or over the weekend, or on Monday - said Sławomir Cenckiewicz in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on "Gość Radia ZET".

When pointed out that government representatives are pushing for Karol Nawrocki to make a quick decision on the act (and perhaps military personnel are also demanding a swift decision), he replied: - Of course, because next week we will immediately rearm. If the president signs it today or doesn't sign it, depending on the scenario, we will act and rearm this week or not rearm. Well, that's absurd.

08:21

Sobierańska-Grenda on Today's Hospital Directors' Protest:

I'm Waiting for Reform Proposals.

- I am definitely in contact with the protesters, I know many of these people. Therefore, I am waiting for reform proposals [from the hospital directors' protest], for their demands. Today, a ministry representative will certainly talk to the protesters, and I think that the demands I see... Today there is a Council of Ministers meeting at 12:00 PM, but we are prepared to also receive the demands that the protesters will come with - stated Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda on PR3.
