Bogucki on equating Banderite symbols with Nazi ones:

Nobody will dictate to the President or Poles what laws we should adopt.

– This is a very bad signal. I think there should be more reflection on the Ukrainian side, in Kyiv, because it is here in Poland [...] Poles, despite a very difficult history, despite often very difficult family experiences, have set aside these historical issues and opened, often literally, their homes to those Ukrainians who were fleeing the hell of war – said Zbigniew Bogucki on Radio Wnet, when asked about media reports regarding a possible reaction from Ukraine if Poland equates red-and-black symbols with Nazi ones.

– And we too have the right and obligation towards these victims to demand the truth, to demand that the Ukrainian authorities face the truth. Because only the truth can close this matter. The remedy for this wound, which unfortunately, one might say, reopens to some extent every now and then, I am referring to the genocide in Volhynia and Eastern Lesser Poland, is simply the truth – he stated.

As he indicated: – Nobody will dictate to the President of the Republic of Poland, or to Poles, what laws we should adopt in Poland and how we should act.

– We approach Ukraine's efforts to fight the Russian invader with respect and great assistance, with great attention. We have approached and continue to approach in solidarity all those who have found refuge in our home in Poland. However, we also have the right and the obligation to demand. […] This is an element of Western civilization, of Christian civilization – he emphasized.
