Tusk at Government Session on Judiciary Projects:
Laws Full of Hope
- I am pleased that we can make several decisions, a few dozen hours before Christmas, which I think respond well and quite symbolically to the festive mood – said Prime Minister Donald Tusk during the government session.
- Today, at the government session, we will consider draft laws on restoring the right to an independent and impartial court, and a law amending the National Council of the Judiciary – he announced.
He assessed: - These are laws full of hope, in this sense, they fit well with the spirit of Christmas, because we all hope that these efforts, including those we undertake today, will restore order in our rule of law system, which is also of great importance for the lives of every person, every Polish woman, every Polish man.
- Because, after all, we want everyone in Poland to finally have the right to an impartial, non-political, and swift court, whose judgments no one will question, and I hope that this is a very serious step in that direction – he continued.
