- We are paying better than before, because for teachers entering the profession, meaning beginner teachers, the raise, the first one in 2024, was 33%, to allow them to earn a little better than they did before, to encourage them to join the profession. But it is also a matter of working conditions, it is a matter of education - said Barbara Nowacka in "Gość Wydarzeń" Polsat News.

- This is truly, I believe, a challenge for all of us – to show that the teaching profession is the best profession in the world, and an effort not only financial, but concerning working conditions. That is why we amended the Teachers' Charter, which came into effect on September 1, 2025, to also improve working conditions, to encourage, so that experienced individuals do not leave the profession, to support them, but also to attract new ones - she continued.

- Yes, it is an effort, and all ministers in European Union countries, with whom I regularly meet, talk about this. This is our greatest challenge: for a young person not to dream of being an influencer, an Instagrammer, but to dream of being a teacher - she pointed out.

- There are support programs, and we have such initiatives ahead of us too. Financially - of course, teachers simply have to earn more - she added.
