Trzaskowski:

I'm confident I'll win, but there's a lot of work ahead

Work, work. We need to convince everyone. I'm convinced I will win, but there's a lot, a lot of work ahead of us. I said it would be razor-thin, and it is razor-thin. Everyone [voters are key], we need to speak with absolutely everyone, and I think that arguments are simply the most important – Rafał Trzaskowski told reporters.

08:10

Trzaskowski on the Stakes of the Election and Support for the Far Right:

This Will Certainly Be the Focus of the Second Round.

It concerns me [the support for the far right], it concerns me greatly, because I wouldn't want Poland to be overrun by people with extreme views. And what's most important today is that we truly need calm and cooperation, not total chaos and endless strife, and that's certainly what this second round will be about – Rafał Trzaskowski stated in a conversation with journalists.

08:15

Szefernaker:

Total Humiliation for Many Pollsters

First and foremost, we have a plan that we have been implementing since the first day of the campaign. We have a strategy, in accordance with which we yesterday commenced the 5th stage of the campaign, following election night and the announcement of the election results. It is this strategy that is leading to victory in 2 weeks, and we are intent on winning the presidential election. This strategy is indeed guiding us towards victory, and let me remind you that regarding the first round, it was a total humiliation for many pollsters who indicated a large difference between Rafał Trzaskowski and Karol Nawrocki – stated Paweł Szefernaker in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on "Graffiti" Polsat News.

08:23

Szefernaker:

Poles Voted for a Draw

There were polls that just a week ago showed a 10% lead for Rafał Trzaskowski, but meanwhile, Poles went to the polls, voted for a draw, and that's a pretty good starting position. We humbly continue to work and seek votes from everyone who will vote in the second round, so that they vote for Karol Nawrocki – stated Paweł Szefernaker on 'Graffiti' Polsat News.

08:26

Szefernaker:

Trzaskowski's Election Means Even More Tusk and Giertych

The election of Rafał Trzaskowski, Donald Tusk's deputy, means even more Tusk, even more Giertych. I am convinced that today, these first-round results show that Poles do not agree to there being even more Tusk, Giertych, and politicians of the December 13th coalition in Polish politics – stated Paweł Szefernaker in "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

08:28

Kierwiński:

Special Mobilization and Determination Are Needed. Two Weeks of Sweat and Painstaking Work Lie Ahead.

– Rafał Trzaskowski won the first round, so of course, we should be happy about that. However, we realize that anything is possible. Special mobilization and determination are needed. Two weeks of sweat and painstaking work lie ahead of us. But we will win these elections because our candidate is simply better – said Marcin Kierwiński on "Gość Radia ZET" (Radio ZET's Guest).

08:32

Szefernaker:

'There's a Fire in Trzaskowski's Staff if Tusk Has to Call Emergency Meetings'

"On the other side, in the opponent's campaign staff – in Rafał Trzaskowski's staff – there's a fire if Prime Minister Tusk has to call extraordinary meetings. We don't have any extraordinary meetings; we are executing our plan point by point," – stated Paweł Szefernaker on "Graffiti" Polsat News.

08:33

Szefernaker:

A Six-Station TV Debate is Needed, Everyone Deserves Respect

We call for this to be a debate that respects all viewers – those who watch wPolsce and those who have their own preferred television stations. The largest news channel should also participate in this debate. It should be a debate organized by television stations such as Republika, wPolsce, and Trwam. It should be a debate involving six television stations; everyone deserves respect – stated Paweł Szefernaker on "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

08:34

Kierwiński:

'These Elections Are Also About Completing the Reckoning with PiS'

– We are aware that, in truth, these elections are also about whether we will complete the reckoning with PiS. I am convinced that Rafał Trzaskowski is, on the one hand, a guarantor of good cooperation with the government and harmonious development, but on the other hand, he is a guarantor that times of thievery, like the PiS era, will never return – Marcin Kierwiński said on "Gość Radia ZET".

08:34

Sasin:

'The Race Resets' – Mentzen and Braun Voters Form Nawrocki's Natural Support Base

"This race, one could say, in a sense, is starting anew today, and it will depend on us, on those of us who support Karol Nawrocki, how many voters we manage to persuade to vote for him in the second round. Indeed, it seems that those voters who cast their ballots for Sławomir Mentzen, for Grzegorz Braun, are something of a natural base – a new, expanded base – for Karol Nawrocki" – stated Jacek Sasin on TVN24's "Piasecki's Interview" program.

"Of course, Karol Nawrocki will address these people; he will show them what kind of Poland he wants, because in many cases, it aligns with what these voters expected" – he added.

08:35

Sasin on Braun's Voters: "They Are Not 'Animalistic Antisemites'"

We do not divide voters into better and worse; for us, all voters are important, all Poles are important, regardless of their views, and this is how Karol Nawrocki will proceed in the second round. It is certainly not true, and let's not say, that these 6.5% of people who voted for Grzegorz Braun are all 'animalistic antisemites' – said Jacek Sasin on TVN24.

08:40

Schetyna on Bosak Conversation: 'He Said He Wouldn't Vote for Trzaskowski'

I am a supporter of dialogue in politics and building even very broad coalitions, but what I gathered from my conversation yesterday with Marshal Bosak is that while they are, of course, open to dialogue, each of them says they won't vote for Trzaskowski. And I am convinced that what they say today and tomorrow will not have an impact; this electorate is very diverse, very different, – Grzegorz Schetyna told TVN24.

08:40

Schetyna Warns Against Seeking Braun's Support:

This Will Be Your End, There Are Lines You Cannot Cross.

I want to address what Prime Minister Sasin said. I want to state very clearly: if you continue this narrative and are tempted in this campaign – in these 12 days before the second round – to invoke the politics and activities of Grzegorz Braun as a politician, then it will be your end. There are limits that cannot be crossed, and they cannot be accepted, at any cost – stated Grzegorz Schetyna on TVN24.

08:47

Kierwiński:

Five years ago, Duda had almost a 14% lead over Trzaskowski after the first round, but it ended in a photo finish

– Five years ago, Andrzej Duda had almost a 14% lead over Rafał Trzaskowski after the first round, and it ended in a photo finish. So, I am confident here when it comes to Rafał's determination, his connection with voters, and the kind of candidate he is – said Marcin Kierwiński on "Gość Radia ZET" (Radio ZET Guest).

08:58

Kierwiński:

Even Mentzen, Ideologically Closer to Nawrocki, Couldn't Stomach His Scandals

– Rafał Trzaskowski will fight for the vote of every voter. […] We will fight for every voter: on the streets of cities, towns, and Polish villages – said Marcin Kierwiński on „Gość Radia ZET”, when asked if Rafał Trzaskowski would ask for Sławomir Mentzen's vote.

– Rafał Trzaskowski has stated very clearly that he is ready to talk with almost anyone who has Poland's good at heart. […] I am deliberately drawing this axis of division: honest Poland, meaning Rafał Trzaskowski – dishonest Poland, meaning PiS. Please note that even Mr. Mentzen, who is certainly ideologically closer to Mr. Nawrocki, couldn't stand the scandals surrounding Nawrocki – he stated.

09:01

Kierwiński:

I am sure Nawrocki will not win

– Karol Nawrocki will not win. I am certain because I know what kind of person Rafał Trzaskowski is, how determined he is to win these elections. I know we will do everything to help him achieve this – said Marcin Kierwiński on „Gość Radia ZET”.

09:11

Two Marches, Two Candidates on One Day in Warsaw. Kierwiński: I See a Desire for Confrontation in PiS's Actions

– On May 25th, we'll see you at 12:00 PM. We invite all, all Polish patriots who hold Poland's well-being dear. We invite you here to Warsaw, [...] Bankowy Square, where a great march will begin. We have a good tradition. In 2023, we won thanks to two great marches – said Marcin Kierwiński on 'Gość Radia ZET'.

– We will do everything to ensure safety. However, I see a willingness for confrontation in PiS's actions. But this way, gentlemen from PiS, you won't win these elections – he stated.

As he pointed out: – It's hard not to see the coincidence: we say 'we're organizing a march,' and PiS says 'then we'll organize one too.' But okay, we'll see which march will be more optimistic, joyful, and determined to win.

09:30

Błaszczak:

The Choice Is Between Trusting the Government and Wanting Change

— Donald Tusk's government is dismally rated. Over these several months, the cabinet of the December 13th coalition has undoubtedly worn out considerably, and Rafał Trzaskowski is Donald Tusk's deputy, so here we are also faced with a choice: do we trust a government that governs poorly, or do we want change? And I believe that the majority wants change — said Mariusz Błaszczak in RMF FM's "Poranna rozmowa" (Morning Talk).

09:37

Marek Woch – 0.09% (18,338)

09:39

What Led to Braun's Strong Result? Błaszczak Points to Disappointed PSL Voters and Hołownia

– No, I wasn't surprised, because during my tour of Poland, I met with PSL voters who were disappointed with the government and who were disappointed with the candidate the PSL was supposed to support, namely Szymon Hołownia – said Mariusz Błaszczak on RMF FM, when asked if he was surprised by Grzegorz Braun's strong showing.

– There is always a certain group of voters who challenge the situation, and I believe Grzegorz Braun gathered such a group of voters – those with conservative views – he continued.

– I believe that in this last period, it was also significant that Donald Tusk went to Kyiv with a 'delegation of the willing' – meaning those willing to do what, to send Polish troops to Ukraine – he went on.

09:44

Błaszczak:

We Share Opposition to Migration Pact, Green Deal, and 'Rainbow Ideology' with Mentzen's Voters

– What unites us, undoubtedly, is our opposition to the migration pact – that undoubtedly unites us – opposition to the Green Deal, to these ideological follies; I am speaking here of the 'rainbow ideology' being introduced into schools. That undoubtedly unites us, – Mariusz Błaszczak said on RMF FM.

– What also unites us is respect for tradition, for history, for culture, for European civilization based on Christian foundations – that unites us. And now it is only a matter for Sławomir Mentzen's voters to consider whether they want a conservative Poland, respecting values, or a liberal Poland, that Poland which succumbs to a moral revolution, – he continued.

09:45

Trzaskowski:

We Face a Choice Between a Normal Poland and a Radical Poland

We face a choice between a normal Poland and a radical Poland. And we all see that Karol Nawrocki is the most radical PiS politician, who holds views very similar to Mr. Braun's. I am receiving many signals of this type, that Poles are afraid of what has happened, but there is nothing to fear. One simply needs to take matters into one's own hands and go vote in the second round – stated Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference.

09:50

Błaszczak Assures Braun's Voters: Nawrocki Won't Send Polish Troops to Ukraine

– We guarantee to Braun's voters that President Karol Nawrocki will not agree to send Polish troops to Ukraine, and this is a lasting, stable guarantee that will not succumb to German or French influence, or that of such a coalition – Mariusz Błaszczak told RMF FM, when asked about proposals for Grzegorz Braun's voters.

– Firstly, he will not allow himself to be treated as Donald Tusk allowed himself to be treated when he traveled to Kyiv in a second-class carriage. And secondly, and more importantly, decisions were being made […] in the carriage where Donald Tusk was not. Therefore, President Karol Nawrocki will pursue an ambitious policy, not one that is, as it were, plugged into decisions made in Berlin – he continued.

09:54

Proposals for Zandberg's Voters? Błaszczak: Nawrocki Won't Sign Off on Raising Retirement Age, Abolishing 13th and 14th Pensions, or 800+

– We are trustworthy when it comes to the social policies of the Law and Justice government. You can be certain that President Karol Nawrocki will not sign off on raising the retirement age, will not sign off on abolishing the 13th and 14th pensions, will not sign off on abolishing the 800+ program, whereas President Trzaskowski will do all of that – said Mariusz Błaszczak on RMF FM, when asked about proposals for Adrian Zandberg's voters.

– He only says so today, but tomorrow he will do it, because Donald Tusk will demand it from him, because he will say there is no money – he continued.

09:57

Błaszczak:

I believe the ruling coalition will collapse if Nawrocki wins

– I believe that then this coalition, which is governing our country poorly, even disastrously, will simply collapse internally – said Mariusz Błaszczak on RMF FM, when asked about the scenario where Karol Nawrocki wins.

11:17

Will Mentzen Set Conditions for Trzaskowski and Nawrocki's Endorsement? Zajączkowska-Hernik Announces Press Conference

– Let's wait for Sławomir Mentzen's official statement [regarding who he will endorse in the second round]. He is currently the one who controls his endorsement. We will find out tomorrow during Sławomir Mentzen's official conference [whether he will set any conditions for Trzaskowski and Nawrocki] – Ewa Zajączkowska-Hernik said on "Gość Radia ZET".

– To the extent I know Sławomir Mentzen, I expect tough negotiations. What the outcome will be – we do not yet know. If I were Sławomir Mentzen, I would invite both gentlemen [Trzaskowski and Nawrocki] to a meeting, – she stated.

11:35

Zajączkowska-Hernik:

"I'm Not Sure I'll Vote for Nawrocki. PiS Is Behind Him, and There's a Lot to Criticize About That Party."

– I won't vote for Rafał Trzaskowski either. This man doesn't convince me, because he is an insincere person who puts on a different mask depending on public opinion poll results. He now has a huge problem, because these masks have worn thin and fallen away. Rafał Trzaskowski himself shows that he is not a centrist candidate at all, but a left-wing, even radical left-wing one. [...] He absolutely has no ability to win over the conservative electorate – said Ewa Zajączkowska-Hernik on "Radio ZET's Guest."

Asked whether she would then vote for Karol Nawrocki, she replied: – I don't know what decision I will make, because PiS is behind Karol Nawrocki, and there's a lot that can be held against the PiS party.

She listed: – The last term of PiS rule was the clear downfall of PiS. The arrogance that surrounded PiS, their overconfidence, what they did during the pandemic. [...] 200 thousand excess deaths, closing small and medium-sized enterprises, closing the economy, cemeteries, forests, people locked in their homes. The Polish Deal, or the attempt to introduce the Five for Animals bill. [...] These are things that can be held against PiS, and PiS needs to be reminded of them.

When pressed on whether she would stay home (and not vote), she replied: – I don't know yet. There are 2 weeks to convince voters like me.

13:42

PSL Backs Trzaskowski in Presidential Runoff; Kosiniak-Kamysz Pledges 'Full Cooperation'

– I wanted to first announce the decision of the Polish People's Party, our Supreme Executive Committee, which unanimously endorses Rafał Trzaskowski for President of the Republic of Poland – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during a joint press conference with Rafał Trzaskowski.

– We endorse him, we will support him […]. Poland needs cooperation, understanding. Not blind unification on every topic, but brotherhood and solidarity on the most crucial issues. A matter of immense importance, a truly decisive issue for the future of our homeland […] is security – he continued.

– There must be good cooperation between the government and the president, between the Minister of National Defence and the commander-in-chief of the armed forces. I declare full cooperation with President Rafał Trzaskowski – he added.

13:47

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

No Polish Soldier Will Go on a Mission to Ukraine Under a Trzaskowski Presidency

"We are well aware of the immediate challenges ahead. That is why the government, and all political circles, have unequivocally stated that we will not send our soldiers to Ukraine, because it is in Poland's national interest. We should by all means support the Ukrainian state's efforts towards its independence, and provide aid. But above all, we must protect Poland's borders, provide assistance from here, from Poland, and not by sending soldiers to Ukraine," said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during a joint press conference with Rafał Trzaskowski.

"Rest assured. If Rafał Trzaskowski is president, no Polish soldier will go on a mission to Ukraine," he continued.

13:48

Duda Throws Support Behind Nawrocki Before Runoff:

I'm Counting on a Specific Outcome in These Elections.

It’s no secret to anyone that I supported Karol Nawrocki. I can confidently say that today, and I continue to support Karol Nawrocki. So, in that regard, as you can probably guess, I am counting on a specific outcome in these elections. But what is most important to me today is, first and foremost, to thank all my compatriots once again for their participation in the elections — stated Andrzej Duda at a press conference.

13:48

"Consequences Must Be Drawn": Duda on Myrcha's Alleged Election Silence Breach

Both candidates face a great task: to vie for voters' support. They still have two weeks for this, and we will likely observe electoral competition, rather than an electoral clash, over these two weeks. I would like it to be a competition for votes, not a confrontation. Above all, I hope that this will take place on fair terms, and I hope that the law will not be broken – said Andrzej Duda at a press conference.

I must say that I noted with distaste that one of the deputy ministers of justice allowed himself to break the law during the election silence by publishing campaign materials, which I believe should never happen, and consequences should be drawn from this – he continued.

13:48

Duda:

'I Don't Recall Nawrocki Criticizing Mentzen; I Leave That to Voters to Consider'

I don't recall Karol Nawrocki criticizing Mr. Sławomir Mentzen and his program, and I leave that for the voters to consider, – stated Andrzej Duda at a press conference.

14:02

Kosiniak-Kamysz on Zybertowicz's Remarks:

Unacceptable, Shameful Words.

– The white-and-red (flag/identity), patriotism, is for all of us; it is a great privilege and duty for all of us. No one from the great family of Poles may be excluded – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during a joint press conference with Rafał Trzaskowski.

– I disagree with this and I want to warn, I want to expose false prophets, just as yesterday Professor Zybertowicz spoke of 40% of Poles who have opted out of Polishness. This is unacceptable, these are shameful words – he continued.

14:08

Kosiniak-Kamysz on Trzaskowski's Unifying Vision for Tradition and the Future:

He Does It Beautifully in Warsaw.

– Rafał Trzaskowski is a guarantor of building a community and a place for each of us in our beloved homeland. Regardless of worldview, opinions, place of residence, or education. With respect for our tradition, values, including Christian values, and a forward-looking approach – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during a joint press conference with Rafał Trzaskowski.

– All this can be united, just as he does it beautifully in Warsaw. By supporting the John Paul II Institute of Thought, Caritas, but also those foundations and associations that are more liberal or lean left. This can indeed be united here, because attempts were made to fabricate an image of President Trzaskowski as someone looking only in one direction – he continued.

14:11

Kosiniak-Kamysz Praises Trzaskowski:

His Awareness of Polish Identity is Enormous.

"I've known him [Rafał Trzaskowski] for a very long time; we were in government together, we were in parliament together [...]. I can assure you that his awareness of our history, our traditions, his awareness of Polish identity – which is important to all of us – is immense in him, because he grew up in such a family, a patriotic home, and he comes from an environment that is the inheritor of the Solidarity ethos," Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said during a joint press conference with Rafał Trzaskowski.

14:15

Kosiniak-Kamysz on Ukraine:

Polish Entrepreneurs and Farmers' Interests Come First.

– We support Ukraine's pro-Western aspirations, because the worst-case scenario is authorities in Kyiv looking towards Moscow, not towards Warsaw. But we also advocate that in these negotiations – and we will ensure this, together with Mr. President – the interest of the Polish entrepreneur, the Polish farmer, the Polish proprietor, and the Polish citizen must be placed first – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during a joint press conference with Rafał Trzaskowski.

14:22

Kosiniak-Kamysz to Mentzen's Voters: "President Trzaskowski Will Accept All Good Laws for Entrepreneurs"

– Today, a major deregulation process is underway. Tomorrow, the government will address another deregulation package, focused on economic freedom for entrepreneurs. I know that many of you voted for Sławomir Mentzen. I know that [...] you want these promises – which we also campaigned on – for better conditions for running a small company, your own business, creating jobs, simply lower state levies, lower taxes – to come true, – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during a joint press conference with Rafał Trzaskowski.

– This will only happen when the President of the Republic accepts the laws [...]. We will submit such laws, and we deeply believe that President Trzaskowski will accept them. What's more, we know that he will accept all good laws for entrepreneurs, – he continued.

14:33

‘The Entire October 15 Coalition Must Be Together. Cooperation Is Needed, and This Is Its Beginning.’ Trzaskowski Thanks PSL

– This is precisely the first step, because we must be together, the entire October 15 Coalition. We must complete the reforms that were initiated 1.5 years ago, and cooperation is needed between the President of the Republic and the government – said Rafał Trzaskowski at a joint press conference with Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

– Today, we need cooperation, and this is precisely the beginning of such cooperation, and for this, I would like to sincerely thank Mr. Deputy Prime Minister and all my friends from the PSL – he continued.

14:36

Trzaskowski on Nawrocki:

The Most Radical Politician PiS Has Ever Had.

– Today we must stand together, because on the other side is the most radical politician PiS has ever had. And today we must clearly stand against radicalism – said Rafał Trzaskowski at a joint press conference with Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

17:09

Nawrocki:

We've Won the First Part of the Referendum Against Tusk's Government, and on June 1st We'll Triumph in the Second

Together, we have already won the first part of the referendum against Donald Tusk's government, because yesterday as many as 60% of voters cast their ballots for candidates who are in opposition to a government of petty politics, high prices, and a lack of security for the Polish state – stated Karol Nawrocki in Bydgoszcz.

Today we meet on the day of the first part of our victory in the referendum against Donald Tusk's government, and on June 1st, together again, we will win the second part, and Poland will be victorious – he added.

17:17

Nawrocki:

Time for Political Discussions is Over. Conservative Voters Must Unite

– "Now we are at a point, my dears, where there is no longer time for partisan and political discussions. Today we are at a moment when the entire conservative segment of Polish voters, the whole right wing, must unite, show solidarity, precisely so that on June 1st they can vote for the candidate of Polish sovereignty and security," said Karol Nawrocki in Bydgoszcz.

17:18

Nawrocki:

If We Fail, the Poland We Know Will Be Over. The 2027 Elections Might Not Take Place

– We cannot allow the Civic Platform, in addition to controlling the Sejm, Senate, and the Prime Minister, to also have its president, because for Poland, unfortunately, this will mean nothing more than the acceleration of the migration pact and danger on Polish streets, the acceleration of the Green Deal, and the ideological indoctrination of our schools – said Karol Nawrocki in Bydgoszcz.

– If we fail to win, the Poland we know, unfortunately, will cease to exist and will look different, and the elections in 2027, perhaps, as Prof. Andrzej Nowak wrote today, will not take place, because that is how a monopoly of power ends, and we are here to stop Donald Tusk's monopoly – he continued.

17:20

Nawrocki to Youth: 'Thank You, You've Been My Voters Since 9 PM'

Our numbers are growing, because I also see among us those who did not cast their vote for me in the first round, and are here today shouting 'All of Poland without Rafał.' Thank you, dear young people, for being here today and for being my voters since 9 PM. I am glad we are together and together we are marching towards victory. Let's thank them for being with us from today – said Karol Nawrocki in Bydgoszcz.

17:40

Nawrocki on PSL's Endorsement of Trzaskowski:

Dear Farmers, You've Been Deceived.

– Today, the head of the Polish People's Party, with Wincenty Witos in the background, endorsed Rafał Trzaskowski. Yes, this can only be described as a disgrace. Because Wincenty Witos stood behind a man who is a radically left-wing, liberal politician supporting LGBT and all ideologies that destroy the minds and consciousness of our children and grandchildren – said Karol Nawrocki in Bydgoszcz.

– I imagined Wincenty Witos, that great father of Polish independence, a true peasant leader through and through, marching in today's Warsaw down Armii Ludowej Street, entering the Warsaw City Hall, where Rafał Trzaskowski ordered crosses to be removed – he continued.

– I think of Wincenty Witos, who at the end of the 19th century wrote, 'Every student has the right to leave school as a Pole,' and I see that Wincenty Witos entering the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, where not only national identity but also gender identity is being challenged – he went on to say.

– Dear farmers, dear agricultural producers, you have been deceived today by the party that was supposed to represent you. I am sorry, this is a disgrace for the Polish People's Party. Vote for the candidate who will uphold those values that were dear to Wincenty Witos and that are dear to you – he added.

Szefernaker:

Yesterday's Elections Revealed the True Public Sentiment

I am demonstrating that elections are the real poll, and yesterday's elections showed what the true public sentiment is, and this is a good starting point for the presidential runoff – stated Paweł Szefernaker in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

Szefernaker:

We will also campaign for those who didn't vote in the first round

We will not only appeal to them. We will appeal to those who turned out in the first round, who voted for other candidates, but also to those who did not vote in the first round, and we want to mobilize them to go to the polls in the second round – stated Paweł Szefernaker on Radio Zet.

Today, I think that everyone no longer has any doubts, or at least most people do not have any doubts, which the result of yesterday's elections demonstrates: that a victory for Rafał Trzaskowski would mean even more of Donald Tusk, more of what we have today, which people don't like – he continued.

Tusk Urges Participation in March and Elections:

I Call on All Who Love Poland.

“Today, the race for a secure Poland begins. Just yesterday, you identified the candidate whose platform resonated most with you. Thank you for every vote cast. Your decisions are an important signal for me and the entire government. But today, a new choice emerges,” – said Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a recording published on X.

“This grand game for our future, for our children and grandchildren, begins anew today. And today, this choice is black and white. Are you for the paralysis of power and chaos in Poland, or for marching forward and security? Do you want internal political infighting when war is at our borders, or effective work and building strength? Do you want impunity for thieves and bandits, or justice and order?” – he continued.

“There can only be one honest answer: Rafał Trzaskowski. In the March of a Million Hearts, we walked in the name of a secure and free Poland. For our dream to come true, we must mobilize once again. I call on everyone from that march, and indeed everyone who loves Poland. Let us meet on Sunday, May 25, at noon sharp, Bankowy Square, Warsaw. And a week later, let us vote together for a strong, united, and secure Poland,” – he added.

Szefernaker:

'The Result Didn't Surprise Us. Chairman Kaczyński Was Right'

I think that Chairman Kaczyński, and I say this in all seriousness, has been right many times since he entered politics, taking actions sometimes against the establishment, for which he was criticized, but then it turned out he was right — stated Paweł Szefernaker on Radio Zet.

He emphasized that "we truly have our plan, which we are implementing, and it is leading us to victory." — The voting result didn't surprise us — he assessed.

Matysiak:

I'll Vote in the Second Round. Trzaskowski, Nawrocki, or an Invalid Ballot? All Options Are Open

– In the second round, there are three options: vote for Trzaskowski, vote for Nawrocki, or not go – said Grzegorz Sroczyński in RMF FM's "Afternoon Talk."

– Or go and cast an invalid vote, which makes four – noted Paulina Matysiak.

– Indeed. Which option will Paulina Matysiak choose? – asked the host.

– I will probably make my decision next week. I'm being completely serious. I will definitely go to the polls and vote in the second round. Right now, I'm observing what the candidates will do: what Karol Nawrocki will do, what Rafał Trzaskowski will do... – said the Razem MP.

– So, are you open to voting for Nawrocki? – the journalist pressed.

– Yes. I am open to any of the options mentioned, except for the option of not going to the elections. [...] This is truly a significant, one might say, test for these candidates – what they will do, what they might also put on the table, what proposals they will bring to those voters who simply have left-wing needs – Matysiak continued.

Matysiak:

Left-Wing Trio's Results Satisfactory; Trzaskowski Not a Leftist Candidate

“I think that generally, for voters who cast their ballots in this first round, the result for the left-wing candidates, the entire trio, is satisfactory. That is, Adrian Zandberg, Magdalena Biejat, and Joanna Senyszyn. Not Trzaskowski, rest assured. I believe he is not a left-wing candidate,” Paulina Matysiak stated in RMF FM's “Popołudniowa rozmowa.”

“The results of this trio of candidates could be a good harbinger for the future. These are the first such strong results for the left in many years, when it comes to presidential elections,” she pointed out.

A Joint Left-Wing Bid in Next Elections? Matysiak: 'Cannot Rule It Out'

– It seems to me that it obviously cannot be ruled out [a joint bid with The Left]. It's difficult for me to make such a definitive judgment at this moment. The elections are in 2027, and I believe this decision will have to be made closer to that date, considering the polls, forecasts, and the overall situation – said Paulina Matysiak in RMF FM's 'Afternoon Talk'.

– I think no one in their right mind can, at this moment, 100% declare that such a scenario won't materialize – she added.

Nawrocki Calls for Mobilization:

Nothing Will Stop the Wave of Social Rebellion Now.

– Given that we are on the path to victory, and nothing will stop this wave of social rebellion now, I ask you to mobilize in these final days, and we will win these elections on June 1st, and Poland will be great, strong, ambitious, secure, and a welfare state – stated Karol Nawrocki in Toruń.

Komorowski to Trzaskowski: "I'd Advise Him to Be Himself"

"Firstly, I would advise [Trzaskowski] to be himself. Not to try to make any drastic changes in his behavior, because, well, it's already the second round, which means candidates are like large battleships. They sail through these oceans, shooting at each other, but they cannot afford any sudden maneuvers, because they will capsize," stated Bronisław Komorowski in the program "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

20:10

Komorowski:

Trzaskowski's Result Doesn't Guarantee a Secure Second Round

My state of mind isn't important, but undoubtedly this result – although it is an electoral victory, which is worth emphasizing, because a certain atmosphere is being created around this round of voting as if Nawrocki had won and Trzaskowski had lost, when it's actually the opposite – this result certainly doesn't provide the comfort of conviction that the second round is secure – said Karol Nawrocki on Polsat News.

20:14

Komorowski:

Election Results Pose a Problem for the Ruling Coalition

This is a problem for the ruling coalition [the vote distribution in the presidential elections], and for the government, it is something to reflect on. However, what is difficult to remedy is that in every presidential campaign, a presidential candidate who is associated, at least in the eyes of citizens, with a political force or is part of the ruling camp, consequently bears the burden of all the mistakes, all the weaknesses, and all the 'sins' of the government and the ruling coalition – stated Karol Nawrocki on Polsat News.
