Sikorski in Turkey

Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski will participate in an informal meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Antalya, Turkey, on May 14-15.

The main topic of discussion will be the final preparations for the meeting of the heads of state and government of the North Atlantic Alliance countries in The Hague on June 24-25, 2025. Ministers are also expected to discuss the current security situation in Europe.

Senate Session Begins

A two-day Senate session will begin on Wednesday, during which members of the upper house of parliament will address, among other things, laws concerning the deregulation of economic law and the protection of the rights of buyers of residential premises or single-family houses.

– I think that [General Kellogg's words] represent a certain simplification and an emphasis on Poland's role in the peace process. An imprecise statement regarding the role Poland is to play, not by sending troops to Ukraine, but by securing other allied troops here, in Poland – he continued.

– This is the common stance of all political forces in Poland and the president; we discussed it at the National Security Council. […] I think he hasn’t changed his mind on this matter. So it’s worth asking the president if he has the same stance as the government – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TOK FM, when asked if he misses President Duda’s statement on Poland not sending troops to Ukraine.

– This is the misuse of the topic of the army, of security, in the election campaign. I would like this not to happen, and President Duda’s voice would certainly be helpful here, but does he want to help stabilize the security situation in Poland, including in relations with our allies, or does he more want to help his party, his candidate? – he continued, after the host reminded him of Jarosław Kaczyński’s post: “Tusk has already deceived Poles more than once and plans to do it again. There is no justification for sending Polish troops to Ukraine. I remind you that the use of the Armed Forces outside the country requires the president's consent.”

– If the latter prevails, then unfortunately, it will be another testament to this period of Andrzej Duda’s presidency, which will be a poor testament – he went on.

"[Sławomir Mentzen] made a decision, he said what he thinks [regarding Karol Nawrocki and his apartment]. I think it was an impulse] of both heart and mind. We in Konfederacja truly believe that standards in politics should be a bit higher and that we cannot turn a blind eye to everything. Sławomir Mentzen presented his assessment of this situation – said Krzysztof Bosak in the "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

– I have said this in many interviews, that I am more inclined to suspend judgment, because at the time I was giving my previous comments, I believed that we did not have enough information and documents to assess it reliably – he stated.

As he said: – I do not like this becoming the final act of the election campaign at all. And I believe that we are missing the most basic thing – that is, the testimony of this man [Mr. Jerzy]. This man had over a dozen years to complain if he felt he was treated unfairly.

– So that no one misunderstands me: I have no intention of defending either how Karol Nawrocki explains this, or what he did. Absolutely not. Karol Nawrocki is a political competitor for us. We want to win against him. However, I believe that we should win on programmatic issues. For example, by showing that PiS was the first party to propose sending Polish troops to Ukraine. And Sławomir Mentzen guarantees that Polish defense will be strengthened, and soldiers will not go to Ukraine – he pointed out.

– Mr. Zandberg's complete unawareness. No [soldiers don't have to buy boots], everyone receives full uniforms, we have generally improved equipment availability – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in TOK FM, when asked about Adrian Zandberg's words during a debate that soldiers have to buy their own personal equipment, such as boots.

– Complete ignorance from a candidate, it's a shame, but I have to say it, with all personal sympathy, as we've known each other for years. […] From the first days we began our actions in the ministry, Operation 'Szpej' [Gear], individual equipment, replacements, we started with helmets, where there were still steel helmets, uniforms, warm jackets on the border that were missing, down-filled ones, rain capes. […] The operation continues – he continued.

– Soldiers also receive approximately 3000 PLN annually for the purchase of equipment that will better suit them, in addition to what they are provided. Because everyone receives full uniforms, full equipment – he went on to say.

– We have no certainty that this is indeed what happened [that Karol Nawrocki discussed in the USA regarding chips], that Karol Nawrocki achieved anything, because when I asked him about it for the last 2 weeks, whether he achieved anything beyond a photo, he dodged the question. I don't think [that he didn't want to jinx it] – if someone talked to someone about something, they talk about it, and if Karol Nawrocki had been talking about it for 2 weeks, that he spoke about this important matter with President Trump, and today we would have received confirmation, we would know that it was Karol Nawrocki – stated Szymon Hołownia in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Radio Zet.

– He emphasizes the importance of this issue. [...] We want to do this, we are determined – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in TOK FM, when asked about Szymon Hołownia's statement regarding the personal assistance act as a "to be or not to be" for his party in the coalition.

– No, he [Szymon Hołownia] won't have to [leave the coalition], because the work process on this act is very advanced. Yesterday, Minister Berek provided us with all the information, work at the standing committee is progressing, and it will soon reach the Council of Ministers – he continued.

– I refuse to speculate in any way about our candidate potentially entering or not entering the second round. […] I want Sławomir Mentzen to reach the second round and achieve the best possible results – said Krzysztof Bosak during the "Conversation with Piasecki" on TVN24.

– If you, Mr. Editor, are trying to get me to discuss what will happen if Sławomir Mentzen doesn't get through, then you are drawing me into speculating about the defeat of a colleague whom I am rooting for to be in the second round. Let Poles decide, let Poles vote. And then, for two weeks after the polls close on Sunday, we will have time to discuss this in interviews, in debates, about what might happen – he continued.

– We will introduce a constitutional amendment project to increase the number of signatures that need to be collected – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in TOK FM, when asked if he was concerned about statements in the election campaign that are Russian propaganda.

– I believe it should be half a million. […] After all, it is much easier to collect signatures today than ever before – he continued, when asked up to what number.

– That's what I would like [half a million signatures required from the 2030 elections] – he went on to say.

– I am also open to discussion on this matter, perhaps it needs to be combined, lowered then, maybe not half a million, but less, the question is, because each of us can sign many lists today, whether to retain the right to sign and support only one list, then digital services would be needed to verify this in real-time, because then the National Electoral Commission is unable to verify these signatures within a few days – he added, when asked about the use of mObywatel and the elimination of fictitious signatures.

– For Poles, it will have no significance. I see that Karol Nawrocki is really grasping at straws, instead of simply explaining what actually happened with the apartment of the Gdańsk pensioner, how it happened that he took it over, and that when Mr. Nawrocki started helping Mr. Jerzy, before that Mr. Jerzy had one apartment, and now he has zero. He's bringing in helpers from Romania who no one in Poland knows, also for this reason, but paradoxically it's good that he's doing it, because it shows the choice we are facing – stated Szymon Hołownia on Radio Zet.

– Either Poland will be in the West, or in the East, with people like Nawrocki, Simion, and Orban – he continued.

– The issue of these statements or meetings of candidates with other presidential candidates from other countries, like candidate Nawrocki yesterday, with a pro-Russian, nationalist candidate, is the wrong direction – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TOK FM.

– Do you envision any other ruling, governmental coalition involving Konfederacja in this parliament?– Konrad Piasecki asked on TVN24.

– I love questions about what a politician imagines. I will answer this way: a professional politician has a rich imagination and can imagine anything, analyze every variant. And then reject most variants – replied Krzysztof Bosak.

– And is there a variant that, after a potential Nawrocki victory, builds a new, different ruling coalition around PiS and Konfederacja?– the host pressed.

– I don't see it. In my opinion, a new beginning will only come after the next parliamentary elections. And it will not be politicians with their emotional attitudes towards each other that will decide which variants are possible. The voters will decide, dealing the cards […], showing who has how many seats in parliament – stated the Deputy Marshal of the Sejm.

– He has three qualities that convince me. […] The first is an unfeigned and uncompromising love for Poland. The second is courage, which he also showed during this campaign, for example, by going to Końskie. The third is experience, including in security, which no other candidate truly possesses at such a level – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TOK FM, describing Szymon Hołownia.

– Zandberg is primarily wrong to leave this coalition and adopt a reviewer's position. Removing cronies from State Treasury companies is still ahead of us – stated Szymon Hołownia on Radio Zet.

– I think Mentzen is absolutely beatable in this final stretch. He is showing how he is falling, showing a drop in form, he is definitely in a downward trend. From my 8-9 percent that I had, because those polls likely show the state from a week, a week and a half, two weeks ago, I think I am in a position in this final stretch to win over, to convince, to show that another solution is possible for those few percent of voters, we'll see how Nawrocki falls – stated Szymon Hołownia on Radio Zet.

– If the second round is between Trzaskowski and Nawrocki, we'll have to grit our teeth and not vote for Nawrocki, but for Trzaskowski – stated Szymon Hołownia on Radio Zet.

– The entire campaign in general, especially concerning the debates and their media coverage, has been rather bland, boring, uninspired, and dirty. Focusing not on matters truly vital for the Republic, but on studio flats or evicting people from their homes in Warsaw and so on, is on a village level, not the level of a nearly 40-million-strong nation. So, it looks terrible, and I absolutely do not like it – stated Paweł Kukiz on Radio Wnet.

– I once listened to a conversation with Mr. Rokita, who said that he treats these elections in such a way that we are dealing with a choice between Tusk's autocracy and a state deadlock, and I completely agree with this opinion – said Paweł Kukiz on Radio Wnet.

– I am a statestman; I am not interested in individual candidates as celebrities, but rather in the entire puzzle that will emerge after one side, the other, or the third wins. Of course, from my perspective, I wish Mr. Mentzen the best and I believe that in general, it would be good for Poland if this third candidate became president, because he then excludes both deadlock and Tusk's autocracy – he continued.

– I fear one thing: that if people choose Tusk's autocracy under some pretext, saying 'now there will be peace because they will have everything, they won't argue, and it will be nice,' then the threat exists that Tusk, who – and I'm not saying this maliciously – has a cosmopolitan character, a man who doesn't adhere to any particular values – stated Paweł Kukiz on Radio Wnet.

– He is a man who, unfortunately, was affected by his difficult childhood with a deviant, alcoholic, criminal, and aggressive father. His childhood had such a powerful impact on this poor individual, I'm speaking seriously here, poor in terms of humanity, Tusk. In order to survive that whole difficult childhood, to exist within his peer group and avoid the trauma from his father, he had to learn to lie perfectly, he had to learn to manipulate – he added.

– At this moment, the priority is to get as close as possible to the United States, because relying on Europe or on building a healthy, strong [European] army ready or capable of resisting the Soviets or Russia, are pipe dreams – stated Paweł Kukiz on Radio Wnet.

– If Tusk is able to do whatever he wants because they [Brussels] will gain a president, then I am convinced that these Polish-American relations will weaken significantly, because he will implement Brussels' policy, albeit from the second carriage, but with the hope that they will eventually let him into the first one – he added.

– I have no doubt that the values, in quotes, that Mr. Trzaskowski and his colleagues represent, and present-day Europe, are largely a result of Soviet agent activity – stated Paweł Kukiz on Radio Wnet.

– For decades, money was directed to Western Europe under the guise of various environmental organizations and so on, precisely to tear Western Europe away from those age-old values, from the perspective of our culture. They achieved this goal precisely through the Greens, through all these LGBT movements and so on – he continued.

– I think that whenever there is one-party rule, it is a bad scenario for Poland. If it turns out that there will be a president from Civic Platform (PO), a prime minister from PO, and if they probably replace the Marshal [of the Sejm] as well, and I'm not at all sure if it will be someone from The Left... When you go with the momentum, you sometimes go with the momentum in politics, and that means PiS and Confederation will have very big wins in 2027 – stated Szymon Hołownia on Radio Zet.

– I have the impression that [Rafał Trzaskowski] was very tired, already exhausted, and simply worn out. It was also a long campaign, some of us have a greater ability to regenerate, others less – stated Szymon Hołownia on Radio Zet.

– We respect and like General Kellogg. […] Please note, he said: “should,” meaning he believes so, but that doesn't mean it will happen. General Kellogg may have misinterpreted that Poland would be part of this operation, if it takes place. But as the Minister of Defence, the head of government, and myself have repeatedly stated, our participation in this operation will not include the presence of Polish soldiers on Ukrainian soil – said Radosław Sikorski in Onet Rano.

– It will be support for an air bridge, it will be protection of a hub, and it will primarily be protection of our over 600-kilometer border with Russia and Belarus to shield those troops who will go to Ukraine – he said.

– Literally a few days ago, in my exposé from the parliamentary tribune, I confirmed that Polish soldiers are not heading, are not going to Ukraine – he recalled.

– This is probably evidence of a rather cynical, but significant, sense of humor on the Russian side. Because they are trying to paint a picture that “poor Russia, innocent of anything, is suddenly being persecuted by some Sikorski who is a Russophobe.” As if there were no reasons why Russians cannot travel to Europe and consulates are being closed. And these reasons are quite drastic – said Radosław Sikorski in Onet Rano, when asked about the Russian side's reaction to the decision to close the Russian consulate in Krakow.

– Russia is occupying Ukraine, Russia is sending us murderers, arsonists, and these are the reasons for the restrictions. […] Stop arson in Poland, and we will stop closing your consulates. Withdraw from Ukraine, stop waging hybrid warfare with the West, and you will be able to travel to Europe again – he stated.

– They will close one of our consulates, which they are already preventing from operating. So, a minor loss – said Radosław Sikorski on Onet Rano, when asked what response he expected from Russia to the closure of its consulate in Krakow.

When pressed about the possibility of closing the consulate in Gdansk, he replied: – It depends on the Russians' behaviour. If they send another team of arsonists or murderers, we will close the last one.

– I spoke about this with Secretary Rubio, and I’m glad he considered our arguments. I believe it was a storm in a teacup from the very beginning. […] We were in the same group as Switzerland and Israel. And as the Ministry of Digital Affairs informed me, the number of chips allocated to Poland for 2 years was five times more than we need. But it irked us that there were certain categories and groups. This has now been changed, which is very good – said Radosław Sikorski on Onet Rano.

– In reality, nothing about this matter is clear to me, because every piece of information coming from Mr. Nawrocki contradicts the information he or members of Law and Justice previously provided – Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska said at a press conference.

– This matter is unclear in every respect, and it seems to me that we all deserve to know truly, on what terms and in what way Mr. Nawrocki acquired this apartment […] Secondly, I would like to know why he did not care for the person he committed to care for […] whether he has already transferred the apartment for public use, what he has done with the apartment, to whom he has transferred it – she continued.

– Meetings with politicians who deny participation, being in the European Union, with politicians who cooperate with or support what is happening in Russia, who support Putin, are unacceptable. It is unacceptable in general, and especially in a situation where there is a war on our border – said Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska at a press conference, when asked about the meeting between Nawrocki and Simion.

– Any contacts, cooperation, praise for Russia or Putin is an unacceptable scandal. It seems to me that it is simply disgraceful that Mr. Nawrocki is inviting [...] a candidate for the future president of a truly wonderful country like Romania, to Poland – she continued.

– I am also surprised that [...] the Romanian candidate was able to leave his country and come to a small rally in Zabrze – she added.

– I hope that this will be received very badly, and is already being received badly by Poles – she concluded.

– One gentleman hypothesizes, another doesn't rule it out, and actually the general said he would like it to happen, but I don't recall any statement from any politician of the ruling coalition who said that these troops would end up in Ukraine – Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska stated at a press conference, when asked about the remarks made by Gen. Kellogg and Jarosław Kaczyński regarding the deployment of Polish troops to Ukraine.

– For me, this closes the matter. And that someone thinks about something, or someone hypothesizes something, is their private affair – she continued.

– President Andrzej Duda received the Vice-Chairman of the European Conservatives and Reformists Group, George Simion, at the Presidential Palace – informed the Chancellery of the President.

“Security is not about words, but action and money. I have decided to allocate 13 billion zlotys to a modernization program for the Police, State Fire Service, Border Guard, and Government Protection Bureau for the years 2026-2029” – wrote Prime Minister Donald Tusk on X.

– First and foremost, I will talk to everyone. I will invite representatives of all parliamentary clubs to the Presidential Palace. I think such an opening will certainly be beneficial for us. We should all also talk about security – stated Rafał Trzaskowski during a YouTube Live.

– Making such a decision effectively requires consent from the President of the Republic of Poland. We wanted to ensure, and it has already been stated, that our candidate, if he becomes president, will simply not agree to it, because this is a situation in which we are to participate, and a very serious one at that, sending troops, even if they are not in close contact with Russian troops – stated Jarosław Kaczyński at a press conference.

– And on the other hand, all important Polish-Ukrainian matters, starting with historical ones, mainly related to Volhynia, but it was a broader phenomenon, these murders, this extremely cruel genocide, to economic matters, which also look like we are actually not to participate in the reconstruction of Ukraine, and this is an undertaking in which we should be involved – he continued.

– Donald Tusk, along with the heads of government and the President of France, went to Kyiv as part of a coalition of the willing. The coalition of the willing consists of states that intend to send their troops to Ukraine. […] Although the current authorities claim today that they will not send troops, please remember that, for instance, shortly before the flood wave hit Lower Silesia, Donald Tusk claimed that the forecasts were not excessively alarming – said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

– Please also remember the commitments Donald Tusk made during the election campaign, which he did not fulfill. Please remember how Donald Tusk described those who illegally tried to cross the Polish-Belarusian border; he claimed they were poor people looking for their place on Earth – he continued.

– The incumbent Minister of National Defence stated in the Sejm that Polish troops would not be sent to Ukraine, but he did mention that a decision from the President of the Republic is needed to send Polish troops abroad. And this is the crux of the matter, because the question must be asked: which of the presidents will not issue, will not sign such a decision – he went on to say.

– Most certainly, the current president Andrzej Duda and the future president, we have such a deep hope, Karol Nawrocki, will not issue such a decision. And how will Donald Tusk's deputy, Rafał Trzaskowski, behave? We are all aware that a person who puts on one mask, then takes it off and puts on another […] is simply unreliable – he added.

“Szymon Hołownia’s Poland 2050 has claimed a total of 1.18 million PLN for mileage allowances this term. The Marshal could end this with a single signature. First, he explained that he needed to ask the MPs about it, now he’s blaming the voters. The truth is, he doesn’t want to end it,” stated the Razem party on X.

This is a reaction to a segment on the program “Gość Radia Zet”. Szymon Hołownia was asked by a listener: “During the last debate, in response to a question about parliamentary mileage allowances, you, Mr. Marshal, said that MPs need to democratically establish a fairer method of calculating them. Do you realize that for an ordinary Pole, this sounds like a group of MPs who have specialized in defrauding mileage allowances are now going to establish a fairer method of robbing the Polish taxpayer among themselves?”.

– That’s too far-reaching a thesis, because please remember the beginning, or the basis on which we are operating. And who elected these MPs? And who among you, who today, often rightly, are outraged, asked any of the candidates for MPs, whom they elected […] asked if you would be honest, if you would not abuse mileage allowances – replied the Third Way candidate.

Because you know how polarization works. Both PiS and PO are like Lidl and Biedronka. We go between one and the other, because they are quite close. But we know that anyway, for the best strawberries, you go to the vendor we know at the market, because we know they are healthy, that they are not sprayed, that they are fresh, that we can give them to our children without worry – said Szymon Hołownia at a press briefing in Wągrowiec.

– This is the key in which we should think about these elections. Parliamentary elections can be elections between a political Lidl and a political Biedronka. However, presidential elections are elections for someone who, looking us in the eye, sincerely and authentically, says they will take care of the well-being of our children. – Over these next 2 days, we will do everything, with the whole movement, with my wife Ula, to convince those who say today: “I'm not going to the elections, I don't know yet, because basically it's all the same to me”, to go to the elections nonetheless – he indicated.

– I wanted to tell you clearly that the presidential elections are not a casting call for a favorite, but a vote for what Poland will look like, and that is what is most important today. That's why it's worth talking about the stakes of these elections and what matters most – stated Rafał Trzaskowski in Międzyrzecz.

– These elections are about women's rights. They are about whether we will end this era where the previous government trampled on women's rights and introduced this medieval anti-abortion law, or whether we will finally change it – he added.

– I also stand before you as a father of a daughter and two sons. And we must also clearly state that there can be no discrimination against girls and women, but there also can be no discrimination against boys. We rarely talk about it, but we sometimes see these heartbreaking scenes when fathers, who have done nothing wrong, are denied contact with their beloved children after their marriage, unfortunately, has failed – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Międzyrzecz.

– We must also clearly say that there is no place for discrimination, and there is also no place for discrimination in schools, where sometimes boys are discriminated against in turn. And these are precisely the experiences of a local government official, because I listen to these voices that reach me from girls, from mothers, but also from boys and from fathers – he continued.

– This standard, where we always stand on the side of those attacked, always stand on the side of those ridiculed, should apply throughout the country. Regardless of whether it is women at a given moment, or teachers, or doctors, or sexual minorities – he went on to say.

– These elections will also be about our seniors, and again, the fundamental question is whether we will help seniors, whether we will benefit from their knowledge and experience, or whether seniors will be left to scammers and crooks – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Międzyrzecz.

– I don’t know if you heard today, if not, definitely check the internet, because today Jarosław Kaczyński clearly said: “Who will guarantee the best relations with the United States — Rafał Trzaskowski,” he said it himself. – I am talking about the fact that we are capable of building a community, that we are capable of reaching agreements with anyone. Today, the President clearly made it understood to all of us that on fundamental matters, when it comes to preparing to defend Polish interests in foreign policy, even the President admits I am right. – Look how this world has gone mad, how strange it is. Our Prime Minister, the German Chancellor, the French President, the British Prime Minister are going to Kyiv, and they are talking to Trump, convincing him to exert pressure on Russia. This is a tremendous victory for our diplomacy today, because the most important thing today is that Putin does not win this war, or at least cannot present victory as his own, and that pressure should be exerted on the aggressor – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Międzyrzecz.

– And this is what the main European leaders are doing, while people in this debate, my competitors, are wondering who rode which train. This is the paranoia of what we are observing today. Instead of focusing on the fact that Europeans are succeeding in convincing Americans and President Trump to their point of view, they are just nitpicking – he continued.

– These past few days have shown that these presidential elections are also simply about ordinary honesty, about decency, about selflessness. Remember this, don't let, don't allow this sham that Nawrocki and his colleagues are peddling to win. They already have the 7th version of what actually happened, and in the end, you know what annoys them? Just one thing, because they don't even deny the facts anymore, they're annoyed that the truth has seen the light of day – stated Rafał Trzaskowski in Międzyrzecz.

– The upcoming elections on May 18th will indeed be about sovereignty, about our agency and our sovereignty. It will be about whether decisions on behalf of the entire nation, the citizens of the Polish state, will be made by those who have only one commitment – to Poland and to its citizens, or whether they will be made by Donald Tusk's deputy. We want sovereign decisions, made in the name of the Polish nation – stated Karol Nawrocki in Jelenia Góra.

– Our objective today is not to send Polish soldiers to Ukraine, and as President of Poland, I will not allow Prime Minister Tusk to make declarations on behalf of a coalition of the willing for us – stated Karol Nawrocki in Jelenia Góra.

– As President of Poland, I will never agree to renounce reparations for a stone. PLN 6 trillion 200 billion. – I don’t have any specific knowledge. However, it was obvious from the very beginning that the Russians would interfere in our campaign – said Rafał Trzaskowski in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News's “Gość Wydarzeń” (Guest of Events).

The candidate was asked about NASK's statement today regarding “a possible attempt to interfere in the election campaign” and “political advertisements on the Facebook platform, which may be financed from abroad”.

– Moreover, it was visible how Russian propaganda became active at the moment when Prime Minister Tusk, the German Chancellor, the President of France, and the Prime Minister of Great Britain were in Kyiv. Russian propaganda was then working at 200% and will certainly be active during the presidential elections in Poland as well – he continued.

– If you ask about Russian propaganda, then it seems to me that, at least on this one issue, all candidates in the presidential elections in Poland should speak with one voice. There is no agreement with Russian propaganda; we should do absolutely everything to fight it – he pointed out.

– Every foreigner who breaks the law in Poland, who breaks the law in Warsaw, will be deported. And I remind you that it was precisely thanks to my interventions, among others, that the Polish government deported dozens of citizens from other countries who broke the law. And the government, the minister, and the police will continue these types of deportations, they assured me – said Rafał Trzaskowski on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of Events).

The President of the Personal Data Protection Office announced that he has initiated proceedings ex officio concerning the disclosure of Jerzy Ż.'s personal data by Rafał Trzaskowski and Karol Nawrocki.

In the program “Gość Wydarzeń” on Polsat News, Rafał Trzaskowski was asked if he should not have acted more carefully when sharing the post with the data.

– Yes, we should have. I discussed this with my team. Moreover, that post has been removed. Politicians from PiS were handing out that personal data left and right, but no one else should have provided that data. That is why that post was removed – stated the candidate.

– We need to protect personal data and pay attention to it. I drew my people's attention to it. And that's it, in such a moment, one must behave as we did – he added.

– I will talk to anyone who wants to talk to me. I have met a lot of people who told me they would vote for someone else in the first round, and for me in the second round. This includes those who said they would cast their vote for Sławomir Mentzen in the first round, and for me in the second round – said Rafał Trzaskowski on Polsat News' “Gość Wydarzeń.”

– If people ask me about my policies, for example, towards young people or towards taxes – because I am, of course, against introducing new taxes – I will certainly address those issues that are important to those who will vote for other politicians in the first round. Both for Magdalena Biejat and for Adrian Zandberg, and also for Sławomir Mentzen – said Rafał Trzaskowski on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of Events).

– I am a candidate of the center, a rational candidate. If I have these opponents, let's call them, on the democratic side, 8 or 9 people, then it's no wonder that the support is distributed in the first round – said Rafał Trzaskowski on "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

– I will fight to regain that support – if I am in the second round, of course, and everything indicates that this will happen – he added.

– Private media don't love me. You won't see these rallies, these thousands of people, like those here today, on 'platformer' TVN24, and you won't see them on 'PiS' TV Republika. The Warsaw salon keeps writing outraged articles in Gazeta Wyborcza about how I dare to run. But there are thousands of you here anyway – said Adrian Zandberg in Krakow.

– You don't need the support of multimillionaires, you don't need the support of big business, but that's not necessary when you have thousands of ordinary, hard-working people with you – he continued.

– This is my campaign and I take full responsibility for it. I don't feel the need to be supported by anyone from the outside. The support of Polish women and men is enough, and that's what I'm seeking – said Rafał Trzaskowski on "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

– I have no problem meeting with anyone. However, in an election campaign, it would look like seeking support, and I need the support of Polish women and men, not foreign politicians – he stated.

– Would I like to meet and talk with Barack Obama? Of course, because he is a very interesting person. However, not in the form of support three days before the first round of elections – he emphasized.

– We are meeting in Kraków. One of those cities that is most severely affected by the housing crisis ongoing in Poland for years. This is a city where people have to give up half of what they earn, 60% of what they earn, to rent a bare corner to live in. This is a city where a significant portion of hard-working people lack the creditworthiness to buy even the humblest roof over their heads – said Adrian Zandberg in Kraków.

– This is a city where the bankruptcy of 20 years of POPiS housing policy is clearly visible – he continued.

– All of Poland is watching Nawrocki's explanations, and it's not convincing anyone. I presented to the entire public opinion [during the debate] his own statement in which he said he would take care of the gentleman from whom he obtained the apartment until the end, and this gentleman is in a nursing home. Therefore, all of Poland sees that Nawrocki acted like a schemer – said Rafał Trzaskowski in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

– For 20 years, Platforma and Prawo i Sprawiedliwości have alternated in power, and for 20 years, successive governments have had only one idea for housing. This idea is to pump billions of zlotys from the state budget in the form of subsidies into the accounts of development companies – said Adrian Zandberg in Krakow.

– Instead of allocating sensible money to social housing, instead of launching a state program for rental housing construction, for 20 years we have been feeding the largest development companies, pumping public funds to inflate their profits and drive up housing prices – he continued.

– To end this absurd policy […] we also need to end POPiS. Because it's really no coincidence that these politicians, politicians from the parties that now rule, first eagerly accept huge donations from the owners of development companies […] from the same people who later benefit from subsidies – he went on to say.

– A significant portion of this political class intends to deliberately privatize healthcare. This is the only way to understand the adoption of a state budget that is short 20 billion zlotys for the normal functioning of Polish hospitals – Adrian Zandberg stated in Krakow.

– This is the only way to understand that despite warnings from employee organizations, doctors, nurses, and even the employers' union, the government majority pushed through the budget […], which signifies a financial catastrophe by the end of the year, leading to hospital ward closures and thousands of people losing their health and lives because there simply won't be money for their treatment – he continued.

– There are also those who will benefit and earn a lot from the crisis in public healthcare, from the collapse of public healthcare. These are private medical companies. […] Private medical companies will profit from this. Precisely the same private medical companies that are sponsoring Rafał Trzaskowski's Campus Polska – he added.

– We are the 20th largest economy in the world, but today, being the 20th largest economy in the world predominantly benefits a very small economic elite in Poland, and to a much lesser extent, the majority of hard-working employees. And this must finally change – said Adrian Zandberg in Krakow.

– These are important tasks that will face the authorities of our country in the coming years. Getting public healthcare back on its feet. […] These are investments in science, in universities, in equal opportunities. These are investments in energy that we need so that our economy doesn't stagnate when the old coal-fired power plants simply run out, and this will happen within the next 10 years – said Adrian Zandberg in Krakow.

– The market won't solve all these matters for politicians […] neither will the wealthy businessmen who fund their election campaigns, nor corporations, nor, frankly speaking, the European Union, whose large countries, Germany and France, are themselves in economic trouble today. This role must be taken on by an efficient, active, and strong Polish state – he continued.

– A very, very bad thing that has been happening in this election campaign was that, first, and not very surprisingly, Mr. Mentzen entered the game, who is a proponent of a weak state, a minimal state, a state that takes no responsibility for anything – Adrian Zandberg said in Krakow.

– But then, into a bidding war with Mr. Mentzen, on who can dismantle the Polish state faster, who can turn the Polish state into a minimal state faster, entered candidates from both Civic Platform and the Law and Justice party. Because they believed it would be electorally profitable for them – he continued.

– Trzaskowski and Nawrocki started spouting nonsense, about how we need to protect poor old ladies from a speculative tax, about how we cannot regulate the housing market situation because it would harm development companies, about how the richest, multimillionaires, billionaires must not be taxed with any wealth tax – he went on.
