– The most important week is ahead of us. Attention, this is the week when people make decisions on how they will vote, because until now there have only been polls. We have a lot of undecided people. I deeply believe that, among other things, today's debate will be a breakthrough moment and Speaker Szymon Hołownia will gain additional voters – said Ryszard Petru in the "Morning Interview" on RMF FM.

– We are counting on a good double-digit result – he stated.

– I have just received extremely important information. The residents of Zabrze have decided in a local referendum to recall the city’s mayor from Civic Coalition. Mayor Rupniewska is a close associate of PO’s deputy leader, Rafał Trzaskowski. This is a clear signal that Poles have had enough of this incompetent team. Presidential elections are ahead of us, which will also be a symbolic referendum on Donald Tusk’s current government. – I believe that this project [The Third Way] is up for discussion right after the first and second rounds, actually. I believe that Poland 2050 as an independent entity would likely be a better formula, and there would be no need to compromise with the PSL. It's not that I'm against the PSL, it's just that this cooperation is not necessary at a formal level – said Ryszard Petru in the "Morning Interview" on RMF FM.

– We have something different from the PSL [which has structures]. For instance, we have freshness, which they don't have, because they are an old party. But I don't want to criticize my colleagues from the PSL here, and I don't want to get entangled in this. I can say this: it's a different group, and therefore I am convinced that the idea of Poland 2050 will certainly survive these elections. Moreover, it might paradoxically strengthen. Of course, the result of Marshal Hołownia is important here – he continued.

– There are millions of people in Poland who are simply fed up with POPiS. It's been 20 years since these two parties have been ruling us alternately, since half the nation became hostages to the personal hatred, the personal war between Donald Tusk and Jarosław Kaczyński – said Adrian Zandberg in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program “Gość Radia Zet”.

– I think that these upcoming elections, and then the parliamentary elections in ’27, will be the moment when we end this story – he continued.

– Voters are not potato sacks to be passed from one politician to another. I believe that people have their own minds and are capable of making decisions independently. Today, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, and in the coming days until [May] 18th, I am fighting to ensure we have a better choice in the second round than between Tusk’s candidate and Trzaskowski’s candidate – said Adrian Zandberg on Radio Zet, when asked if he would support Rafał Trzaskowski if he did not advance to the second round.

– I would really like us to stop discussing such matters only from the perspective of whether they are a problem for this or that politician, and instead discuss what is happening that we are still faced with a situation where one can take an apartment from an elderly person and then not provide them with promised care, and the Polish state does nothing about it – said Adrian Zandberg on Radio Zet, when asked what is a bigger problem, a studio apartment in Gdańsk for Karol Nawrocki, or a tenement house on Marszałkowska for Rafał Trzaskowski.

– What is happening that city mayors are constantly evicting pensioners and children from tenement houses that are attractive and which development companies are eyeing greedily. How is it that we agree that [...] this basic human security [...] knowing that you have a place to return to, where you are safe, has ceased to be treated in this way – he continued.

– I believe that this is also one of the great sins and responsibilities of these two political parties, PiS and Civic Platform, which have been administering the housing market crisis for 20 years and doing nothing about it. Which have been feeding banks and developers for 20 years and are not pursuing sensible, pro-social housing policy – he went on to say.

– Let them start with themselves. I suggest that the Left start working 4 days a week themselves, that their employees work 4 days a week, as I understand it, still for the previous, 5-day salary – said Ryszard Petru in the RMF FM "Morning Interview".

– Let the Left close their parliamentary offices for one day a week, let Ms. Dziemianowicz-Bąk also start working 4 days a week… We'll see how effective she is, whether she manages to complete her tasks in 4 days a week instead of five – he continued.

– It's easy to give away other people's money. I appeal to the Left: let them conduct their experiments. I don't know why we should pay PLN 10 million for an experiment, presumably from public funds. […] This is for show – he assessed.

– I'm not aware of any country that has introduced this on a mass scale by law […]. Let it be an individual decision of each company, let such a possibility exist. […] If we are able to produce the same amount in 4 days as in 5 days – by all means. But if not, then the salary must be reduced – he added.

– I wouldn't get used to the idea that peace will come quickly beyond our eastern border. It is clear that the change in United States policy has very significantly weakened Kyiv's position, and frankly, I am always surprised when I see Polish politicians who are pleased about it – said Adrian Zandberg on Radio Zet.

– As if they don't understand that if Ukraine were to fall, it would mean Russian troops would stand in Lviv, and in my opinion, it is in Poland's national interest that this never happens – he continued.

– The health contribution, which Andrzej Duda vetoed, this proposal will be submitted again. We signed bills at the last Sejm session, meaning we put our signatures under the bill, so it will probably be submitted this week. I don't want to make a definitive statement because I am not personally submitting it, but another MP from our grouping is – said Ryszard Petru in the "Morning Interview" on RMF FM.

– A strange situation – said Adrian Zandberg on Radio Zet, when asked whether the fact that Prime Minister Donald Tusk was traveling in a different carriage than the leaders of Germany, France, and Great Britain was a dishonor or nitpicking.

– The question is, do we have no say in such a situation [when the train is provided by the Ukrainian side]? I must say, it surprises me, because it seems to me that Polish services, Polish diplomacy, and the institutions that manage Polish international policy should indeed take care to avoid such unfortunate situations – he continued.

– A situation in which Poland travels in a different carriage than those who play a significant role in international relations […] is not a good situation. I will not make very firm and decisive claims here, because […] I do not know the details, but it seems to me that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should thoroughly clarify this and also signal to our Ukrainian partners that such gestures should not happen in the future – he went on to say.

– As a result of the Polish Deal, signed by Andrzej Duda and implemented by PiS, the health contribution increased. 70,000 Polish companies closed down because of this and they stopped paying the health contribution. An excessively high health contribution causes some companies not to be established at all. […] Excessive taxes, à la Zandberg style, cause the economy to develop worse – said Ryszard Petru in the RMF FM “Morning Interview”.

– I dare to claim that the recent increases in healthcare spending have largely gone towards salary increases. I am not saying it is bad that salaries in healthcare have increased, but they have not gone towards shortening queues or improving efficiency, only towards salary increases – he continued.

– If we are talking about a peacekeeping mission, I believe not […] we are a neighbour to both Ukraine and Russia. Peacekeeping missions should involve countries that do not share a direct border with any of the countries involved in the conflict – said Adrian Zandberg on Radio Zet, when asked about sending Polish troops to Ukraine.

– In connection with the evidence that Russian special services committed a reprehensible act of sabotage against the shopping center on Marywilska Street, I have decided to withdraw consent for the operation of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Krakow – stated the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radosław Sikorski.

– This government broke a promise, and it was one that truly cost nothing: the promise that this government would finally sort out the situation in State Treasury companies and put an end to them being managed by people with the right party affiliation, even if they don't know anything – said Adrian Zandberg on Radio Zet.

– There were supposed to be fair competitions, it was supposed to be clean, it was supposed to be in order, but instead, we have some guys from 'Beetroot Juice' being hired in very important, significant, valuable companies that are part of public property. We have thousands of party apparatchiks from the parties that are now in power, who are being pushed into positions they don't understand – he continued.

– Tusk promised this wouldn't happen, and partly for that reason, he was elected to power a year and a half ago; he broke his word given to millions of people – he went on.

– I am a supporter of a tax system where taxes for the working majority are low and simple, but taxes for big corporations and for the richest 1% are higher than today – said Adrian Zandberg on Radio Zet.

– I, for one, respect that Mr. Brzoska pays his taxes honestly. My criticism of Mr. Brzoska concerns something entirely different. I believe that a situation where a wealthy businessman, a very wealthy businessman, one of the richest businessmen in Poland, were to gain political power regarding regulations that apply in the economy, is dangerous – said Adrian Zandberg on Radio Zet.

– This is partly why we have a tripartite commission in Poland, social dialogue, so that the rules governing the labor market, the rules governing the economy, are the result of discussions between employers, employees, and the governing party, rather than handing over all of this power to one of the sides, because that never ends well – he continued.

– I thought his coalition partners would show a bit more assertiveness, and the situation we were in was that the money from the KPO [National Recovery Plan] was hanging in the balance as to whether it would reach Poland. [...] This government had to be formed as quickly as possible – said Adrian Zandberg on Radio Zet, when asked why he voted for Donald Tusk's appointment as Prime Minister, and whether he did not expect his government to be as it is.

– Today, after what this government has done regarding healthcare, after that scandalous budget from last December, in which a catastrophe in public healthcare was actually planned, after the government side pushed through, fortunately vetoed, changes to the contribution [...], today I would not raise my hand for this government, today I would not vote for its formation – he continued.

– I wouldn't be surprised if this government ultimately reaches the next parliamentary elections and runs on a single list in '27, because you see as well as I do and as well as our listeners do, that this is a government that is very quickly losing support – said Adrian Zandberg on Radio Zet.

– The investigation indicates that the entire arson operation, not only of this facility [at Marywilska 44 in Warsaw], but also of other large commercial retail outlets across Poland and Lithuania, was coordinated and managed from the territory of the Russian Federation by the special services of the Russian Federation – stated Adam Bodnar in the program “Bez uników” on PR3.

– It is important that this person, who was linked to the arson at Marywilska, was also linked to the arson incident in Vilnius. It appears that he was a more, shall we say, engaged collaborator – he added.

– It raises all sorts of ethical doubts, of that I have no doubt. Moreover, we know that the whole story concerned a person who had already been involved in public life at that stage. Karol Nawrocki was not yet at the highest level of public life at that time, but he already held certain positions and sought voters' support – Adam Bodnar said in PR3.

– As a person who likely had political prospects, thought about their path and about presenting themselves as someone meeting all moral criteria, they rather shouldn't engage in such transactions – he added.

– I would like to draw attention to what happened in the last few days, which has somewhat passed without a trace, yet in my opinion, it is fundamental. Namely, the opinion of the Internal Security Agency (ABW) regarding the use of the Pegasus system. The ABW, with a proper, professional, and comprehensive opinion, has stated that the Pegasus system was not certified, which means that all actions carried out using it may be questioned – stated Adam Bodnar in an interview with PR3.

– This matter will proceed in such a way that all persons from the top ranks [Ziobro, Kamiński] responsible for the purchase and deployment of the software will also be subjects of interest and are currently under prosecutorial scrutiny – he continued.

– This bad, corrupt ruling team is taking actions aimed at eliminating PiS politicians from political and public life, and the entire organization that is PiS. That is why they have taken actions aimed at depriving us of subsidies and grants. That is why Minister Domański is illegally and unlawfully withholding funds from PiS, which also hinders the election campaign. But despite this, Poles are strongly supporting Dr. Nawrocki's campaign – stated Andrzej Śliwka at a press briefing in front of TVP.

– Since they could not starve us financially and Poles are supporting Dr. Nawrocki's campaign, they are undertaking other actions. Among other things, this is why they took over public media, in order to place such dull propagandists in these positions, and a perfect example of this dull tool in Donald Tusk's hands is Dorota Wysocka-Schnepf, politically associated with Civic Platform. Today it turns out that this lady, who hosts programs – I bit my tongue – journalistic programs, but it has nothing to do with journalism, as it more closely resembles the propaganda carried out beyond our eastern border, they even prepare the settings in a similar pattern, will be hosting a debate – the PiS politician continued.

– This also shows how Mrs. Schnepf must protect Rafał Trzaskowski, this Rafał Trzaskowski who is as shaky as jelly, in this debate, because if Trzaskowski does not chicken out, he loses debates, even debates organized by his election staff together with TVP, which is being liquidated – he added.

– I would like to point out that another motion is being prepared concerning various other acts committed by Mr. Braun in recent months, including that pseudo-civilian arrest in the Oleśnica hospital, or those absolutely antisemitic remarks made by Mr. Braun during that first presidential debate. Another motion is being prepared to the European Parliament on this matter, and I think it's a matter of days, rather than weeks, before it is sent to the European Parliament – said Adam Bodnar in an interview with PR3.

– To be clear, Karol Nawrocki will appear at today's debate, despite it being moderated by the face of TVP's worst propaganda being dismantled, the frontwoman of this media sludge that pours out of the station broadcasting behind us every day, because Karol Nawrocki has repeatedly declared that he is ready to debate anyone, under any conditions, with any opponent, especially with Rafał Trzaskowski – stated Matusz Kurzajewski.

– I would like to thank Polsat television once again, which stated that it is not a problem for them to expand this debate. TVN24, TVN, has this problem, we have to say it bluntly, this is always the case when you lose the title of leader, when you lose after many years of being first, you have a certain problem accepting the current rules of the game, which is why TVN was reluctant to admit TV Republika – stated Andrzej Śliwka at a press briefing in front of TVP.

– As you are likely already aware, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski has withdrawn consent for the operation of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Krakow. Approximately two weeks ago, all campaign teams participated in an organizational meeting before the debate […]. Telewizja Polska has decided to treat the campaign teams in a completely non-objective manner – said Wojciech Machulski, press spokesperson for Sławomir Mentzen's election campaign team, at a press conference.

– Despite the passage of these two weeks, no such decision has arrived. Yesterday, we finally received the debate regulations for the second time, with updated cosmetic changes, and Ms. [Wysocka-Schnepf] is still listed there – he added.

– We will of course take up the challenge; today Sławomir Mentzen, as well as other candidates along with their campaign teams, are taking up this challenge, they will answer questions, however, this is not how we imagined this final debate, this conversation about Poland, in 2025 – said Grzegorz Płaczek, chairman of the Confederation Parliamentary Club.

– It was unlikely that the voting would proceed exactly like that, and I also understand the doubts of netizens and journalists, because, well, we all distrust public television – said Wojciech Machulski, press spokesman for Sławomir Mentzen's election campaign team, at a press conference, when asked about the draw for the order of answering questions during the debate.

– It is Russia that must decide whether it is filling its declarations of wanting peace with content, and therefore agrees to a 30-day ceasefire, or if this was another lie, and then we can have no doubt as to who wants peace and who wants to continue the war – stated Radosław Sikorski in a conversation with journalists.

– This means that after several months, the United States has subjected Vladimir Putin to several tests, shown goodwill, offered incentives, and is giving him a last chance to take advantage of what Americans call an off-ramp, meaning an exit from the highway that leads to hell – he added.

– A peaceful Russia only sends agents to burn and kill, and these disgusting Russophobes, instead of appreciating it, show hostility. Well, this is precisely the Russian perversity. We certainly don't wish for such friendship from the Russian side – Radosław Sikorski told journalists.

– It was the Russian side that recruited these agents and paid them to set fire to Marywilska; it was an act of hostility. My decision to close the consulate is merely a response to this act of hostility. Stop burning and killing in Europe, and we will stop expelling your diplomats – he continued.

– It's time to move out of defense, time to forge new development paths. But for this to happen, we must win the upcoming elections – stated Mateusz Morawiecki in Olkusz.

– Why is the choice of Karol Nawrocki so crucial for the development of the Republic of Poland? – he continued.

– The current government wants to push the USA out of Europe, out of Poland. This is something very dangerous for our security – the former prime minister emphasized.

– Today we face such a choice. Will it be a man without qualities, an extreme leftist, like Trzaskowski, a man who has excellent experience in raising taxes for Warsaw residents, various types of rent have gone up, the garbage disposal tax, Trzaskowski is indeed good at this – stated Mateusz Morawiecki in Olkusz.

– And you can have such a president who will politely raise taxes. Or someone who will stand up to the current Prime Minister where necessary, and will cooperate with him where it is necessary for Poland. And that person is Karol Nawrocki – he continued.

– Donald Tusk has no access to the White House. Why? Because he has been calling the US President, who will be there for almost 4 more years, in the Oval Office, a Russian agent for 30 years. And President Trump is pragmatic, but he is also emotional and remembers things – stated Mateusz Morawiecki in Olkusz.

– Trzaskowski, as his deputy, has no access to the White House. They appointed someone as ambassador there who calls the US President a mentally unbalanced person. Can one shoot oneself in the foot, in the knee, any harder? Probably not very much – he continued.

Straight from the debate, the Trzaskobus is hitting the road, and Friday marks the grand finale – the “24 Hours for Poland” initiative – wrote Rafał Trzaskowski on X, publishing a graphic with the meeting schedule for the final week of the campaign before the first round.

The schedule indicates that the KO candidate will begin his tour in Warsaw, and will subsequently visit: Kraków, Brzeg, Nowa Sól, Międzyrzecz, Goleniów, and Szczecin.

– I am convinced that subsidies do not work, that subsidies only inflate housing prices, and therefore I will veto any attempts to introduce subsidies for developers in Poland. – A repeat offender of political lies started with moral judgements, and I will simply answer your question. First, against the polls, I will become the President of the Republic of Poland, because it is not polls that decide who will be the president of Poland, and I will not be guided by them as a future president. I made difficult decisions as the Museum of the Second World War when Rafał Trzaskowski's circle laughed that there were no Polish heroes at Westerplatte. I found them and buried them. I made difficult decisions liquidating objects of Soviet propaganda, despite the fact that the Russian Federation is pursuing me today. I will be such a president, I will take care of your security. I will not send Polish soldiers to Ukraine, regardless of public opinion polls – stated Karol Nawrocki during the presidential debate.

– Of course, motherhood and fatherhood are beautiful, but the truth is that women must first feel safe. If they cannot decide about their lives and health, they will not feel safe. In my own family, I experienced exactly such a situation. I might not have had a second child if this medieval anti-abortion law were in effect. And it simply must be changed immediately – said Rafał Trzaskowski during a debate on TVP, Polsat, and TVN.

– We need to return to supporting Polish families and to those values that encourage Poles to start families and care for them. With respect for those who make different choices – stated Karol Nawrocki during the presidential debate.

– The PO government wanted to close over 100 maternity and gynecology wards, and only public resistance prevented this from happening – he continued.

– The problem is cultural, Polish women are not having children because, for various reasons, they simply don't want to. One of these reasons is precisely this propaganda that you have just been exposed to. Portraying motherhood to Polish women as some great tragedy, portraying large families as pathological families – stated Sławomir Mentzen during a debate on TVP, Polsat, and TVN.

– If media outlets like television, unfortunately public television, in liquidation, TVN, Newsweek, Gazeta Wyborcza, once in a while published an article about how motherhood is truly beautiful, how one can find fulfillment through it, there would be more children in Poland, but unfortunately, you are constantly presenting propaganda against having children – he continued.

– I am not at all surprised by these studies [showing low trust in politicians]. Politicians are indeed very bad and lazy people who cannot cope in their normal lives, which is why they seek their fortune in politics. It's a bit different for me. Outside of politics, I could and have earned significantly more money than I ever will in politics – said Sławomir Mentzen during a debate on TVP, Polsat, and TVN.

– I am not a professional MP, I do not receive an MP's salary, I have not taken a single złoty for mileage expenses or for the rental of an official car; I practically spend my entire budget for my constituency office on the salaries of my employees, those hired in the constituency office – he continued.

– The Marshal mentioned those symbolic things related to how work in the Sejm looks, I agree, Mr. Marshal, but perhaps then it's time for you to finally decide on banning alcohol sales in the Sejm during sessions, because it's truly a disgrace – said Adrian Zandberg during a debate on TVP, Polsat, and TVN.

– This difference is also visible in independence. I say: Poland first, Poles first, while Mr. Rafał Trzaskowski speaks of German foundations, Soros, so this gives me a kind of independence – stated Karol Nawrocki during the presidential debate.

– I wanted to encourage all viewers of TVP, Polsat, and TVP to visit my social media. There, you will find a current film explaining the situation regarding Mr. Jerzy's apartment. I helped a man, I bought an apartment from him, and ultimately donated it to charity. I believe that if each of you, the owners of multiple apartments, and your colleagues, acted similarly, Poland and the world would be a better place – stated Karol Nawrocki during the presidential debate.

– This presidential campaign has shown what is most important – first and foremost, transparency. If we want politicians to be respected, all financial statements should be public from the very beginning. The second issue is, of course, honesty, because that is what is most important today, and selflessness, meaning one should help selflessly, not for an apartment – stated Rafał Trzaskowski during the TVP, Polsat, and TVN debate.

– As we observe what is happening in this last week, my opponent and his staff are in a frenzy because facts have simply come to light. They are agitated about how on earth someone informed the public, why journalists followed this lead. This is precisely what shows the values needed in public debate – he continued.

– You said correctly that this is the current explanation, because you've already had 5 of them, which contradicted each other. I'll say it directly: Karol Nawrocki is a liar. He lied in a notarial deed that he paid 120,000 for the purchase of an apartment that wasn't his, he took advantage of a discount he was not entitled to, in order to disgracefully transfer communal property into private hands – said Szymon Hołownia during a debate hosted by TVP, Polsat, and TVN, after Karol Nawrocki responded to his question.

– Sue me now, Mr. Karol, if this is not true – he continued.

– If you want, you can use them, you can take these flags, perhaps for yourselves, perhaps to utterly defeat your opponent. Go ahead, I have the flag of feminism here, and Germany, and Poland, and Kyrgyzstan, everything is here, something for everyone – said Krzysztof Stanowski during the debate hosted by TVP, Polsat, and TVN.

– This is unserious, these are presidential elections. Are we choosing someone who has the best retort, who can explain in a minute how to improve fertility in Poland, who can resolve the war in a minute? Is this what presidential elections in Poland are about? About who best disses the opponent? These are unfortunately some jokes, this is how freak fights might look. Let’s all fight even more, it will get even more viewers, Marshal Hołownia will get a YouTube silver button – he continued.

– You lack the moral standing to speak on housing matters. I will remind you that you were Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz's chief of staff, and you are co-responsible for the reprivatization scandal in Warsaw, for the 'apartment cleaners'. You are co-responsible for those who, at night, in winter, smashed the windows of people being evicted from their homes and for those who placed a Warsaw Uprising insurgent in a basement – stated Karol Nawrocki during the presidential debate.

– You did not build any municipal housing in 2022-2023, and 14,000 apartments were built by developers who are donating to your election campaign. I helped Jerzy and ensured that your colleague, because Gdańsk has similar practices to Warsaw, you have the same customs, Jerzy did not lose his municipal apartment, and this proof, since I have owned this apartment since 2017, shows that I continued to take responsibility and was ready for Jerzy, while you would have kicked him out of his home and changed his locks – he continued.

– When it comes to reprivatization, my dear sir, I will tell you that I have not returned any apartments, and it was I who finally started acting very tough here – said Rafał Trzaskowski during a debate on TVP, Polsat, and TVN, addressing Karol Nawrocki.

– This farce and insolence are simply unbelievable. Mr. Nawrocki helped Mr. Jerzy in exchange for housing, not selflessly, and he furthermore promised to help until the end of his life, yet Mr. Jerzy is in a nursing home and you haven't even had contact with him in recent years – said Rafał Trzaskowski during a debate hosted by TVP, Polsat, and TVN.

– You promised before the elections that you would put an end to nepotism, that you would end these bad practices of PiS when it comes to State Treasury companies. 1.5 years have passed, nothing has changed, except that instead of PiS party cards, now there are Civic Platform party cards. People completely lacking competence are still being hired, trolls are being hired… why have you deceived people, and aren't you ashamed that you have deceived people on this matter? – said Adrian Zandberg during a debate hosted by TVP, Polsat, and TVN, addressing Rafał Trzaskowski.

– You can take responsibility, more responsibility, less review. Just please, you have a chance, submit initiatives, you had a chance to be in government, you had a chance to fight against all these issues you talk about, and you've been positioning yourself as a reviewer the whole time – replied the KO candidate.

– When it comes to nominations in the most important companies in the city, when it comes to management boards, the water company's board, the bus company's board, the metro's board, these most important companies, there are specialists on these boards and the presidents are specialists without party cards; moreover, they remained from the previous governments – Trzaskowski continued.

– Please, have a little seriousness. You talk about initiatives in the Sejm, an initiative in the Sejm that we and Mr. Hołownia's party voted for, was blocked by your party, the party of which you are vice-chairman. Please take responsibility for the party of which you are vice-chairman and for the party that is truly stuffing State Treasury companies with thousands of party cadres. This is not how it was supposed to look – replied the Razem candidate.

– When it comes to housing policy, I have completely changed it. Do you know how? First and foremost, in Warsaw, we are not selling municipal flats with a discount, to prevent scams, such as the ones you were involved in. Furthermore, it was your councillors, from PiS, who tried to reintroduce discounts again – said Rafał Trzaskowski during a debate on TVP, Polsat, and TVN.

– Weren't you informed I'm not a member of PiS? – asked Karol Nawrocki.

– Stop joking, that's the Chairman's decision – replied the Civic Coalition (KO) candidate.

– Does your social empathy also extend to filing an eviction lawsuit against the parents of a six-year-old child, and why does the city of Warsaw want to evict uniformed officers and their six-year-old child? Has it not occurred to you that perhaps it would be worth helping them at the expense of the plaster egg you erected in Warsaw, which cost 250,000 zlotys? – stated Karol Nawrocki during a debate on TVP, Polsat, and TVN.

– I would like to draw attention to the neglected and abandoned Polish government's role in the EU Council. This should have become a forum for discussion, for dialogue between the EU and the USA. And it was Poland, through its presidency, that should have taken the lead in this dialogue, deciding on our relations, both military and economic – stated Karol Nawrocki during the presidential debate.

– Mr. Nawrocki rejoiced about American tariffs as if he were running for governor of Ohio, not president of the Republic. The most important thing is Poland's interest, and of course these tariffs are contrary to it, which is why it was worth talking to Trump about this matter – stated Rafał Trzaskowski during a debate on TVP, Polsat, and TVN.

– We need good trade relations with America, we need a trade agreement, not tariffs, because these tariffs harm Polish interests, they harm American and European interests, and that is why it is very good that we are firmly raising this issue with Trump – he continued.

– Ever since I worked in the EU, in the European Parliament, I have clearly stated that Russia is the threat and that Ukraine should be a buffer zone; you will find evidence of this. Meanwhile, the interests of the EU and the USA are exactly the same, namely, Russia cannot win this war. It is clear that we all want peace, but this peace must be on fair terms. This is what needs to be explained to President Trump, not taken pictures with him, but rather to talk to him thoroughly on this subject, to talk with Republican politicians that this is a threat to the world order – stated Rafał Trzaskowski during the presidential debate.

– I see that my visit to the White House is hurting my spineless senior colleagues […]. The strategic interest of the Polish state is, of course, to push back the threat of neo-imperial, post-communist Russia as far as possible, so that peace in Ukraine is lasting, just, and not just a postponed war – said Karol Nawrocki during a debate hosted by TVP, Polsat, and TVN.

– It is also worthwhile for the President of Poland to participate in discussions, or at least for the Prime Minister of Poland not to be sent to the back of the bus by the German Chancellor, but for Poland to be part of these negotiations on the international stage. Here, relations with the United States, not just photos, but actual relations, are very important – he continued.

– I also remind you that we should never fall into jingoistic optimism regarding Ukraine's accession to the European Union or NATO, or allow the threat of unfair competition from Ukraine – he went on to say.

– We had the opportunity to talk for 2 hours recently. You told me that you have always been in favour of reparations and have always repeated to the Germans that they must repay their debt for the war – stated Krzysztof Stanowski during a debate on TVP, Polsat, and TVN.

– One cannot find your appeals for reparations from Germany anywhere, while one can find your tweets in which you mocked, ridiculed reparations. You wrote that we should also demand reparations from the Finns, the Swedes, the Mongols. You can't hold every opinion on every topic, depending on who asks. Let's really be serious, you are supposed to be a president. I believe that a person over 50 years old should already have developed a backbone – he continued.

– Poland has two fundamental interests. The first is that Ukraine does not lose its independence, that it is not conquered by Russia, because of course we do not want Russian troops near Przemyśl or Rzeszów. The second fundamental interest concerns the fact that we cannot enter this war, we cannot be drawn into it. We do not want Polish soldiers to die, we do not want Russian bombs to fall on the streets of Polish cities, on our houses, apartment buildings – said Sławomir Mentzen during the presidential debate.

– However, it is not in our interest where exactly the new border between Russia and Ukraine will run, whether Crimea will be Russian or Ukrainian. If someone thinks otherwise, the question is how they intend to realize this interest, because the Ukrainians no longer have the strength for it, and I hope that no one sensible wants to send the Polish army to recapture Crimea – he stated.

– First and foremost, I will not agree to sending Polish soldiers to Ukraine. I will not agree to Ukraine's accession to NATO. We should focus on a strong Polish army, we need to build Polish ammunition factories, and not get involved in this war – said Sławomir Mentzen during a presidential debate.

– It was you who prepared centers for immigrants during your government, and you know that perfectly well. Meanwhile, in 2015, I fought to secure the borders. We fought to solve migrants' problems in third countries, and I secured a provision that clearly states we will not accept any migrants if we help Ukraine, and that is precisely what has happened – stated Rafał Trzaskowski during the presidential debate.

– You can't say anything without returning to PiS and saying: you lot, you lot – stated Karol Nawrocki during the presidential debate.

– Well, I'm talking to you. You're from PiS, so I'm talking to you – replied Rafał Trzaskowski.

– Mr. Karol, I will read you something: “We believe that we will soon meet Ukraine in NATO, and then in the European Union.” Do you know who said that? Lech Kaczyński, because he knew that Ukraine in NATO would support Poland, that Ukraine in NATO is a condition for our security. And you are twisting things and standing today in the same line as Russian trolls like Mr. Braun and Mr. Maciak. Aren’t you simply ashamed? – stated Magdalena Biejat during a debate hosted by TVP, Polsat, and TVN.

– This is an expression of my independence, Madam Marshal. I respect President [Lech Kaczyński], but my name is Karol Nawrocki – replied Karol Nawrocki.

– When it comes to shortening [working] hours, the world is completely changing with new technologies – said Rafał Trzaskowski during a debate on TVP, Polsat, and TVN, when asked by Magdalena Biejat, “When will we finally be able to afford it, when will it be time for us to be a European welfare state?” in the context of, among other things, reducing working hours.

– I hope that soon Polish women and men will indeed be able to work less, not more, and that we will also listen to the voice of the younger generation, which clearly tells us that they would like to have more time for their friends, for their families, that they don't want to work like generations such as ours, like the generation of our fathers, our grandfathers, who worked non-stop – he continued.

– We will see if we can afford it, perhaps so, when it comes to these kinds of solutions. I am ready to talk with the left as well, but of course, responsibility is paramount in these matters. But I will never close myself off to such conversations – the KO candidate continued.

– We can talk about this indefinitely, and in the meantime, for heaven's sake. Poland is the 21st largest economy in the world, and it is high time that after years of transformation, the people who worked hard for this prosperity could benefit from its fruits. And there is really no reason for us to keep waiting indefinitely for shorter working hours, for efficient healthcare, for access to housing, because if we only talk like this, we will be waiting another 30 years – replied the New Left candidate.

– In the last few months, I've had nearly 340 meetings, often with young people, completely sober, so I have absolutely no problem with that. However, I believe that a politician doesn't have to pretend to be a stiff gentleman who never drinks beer, always wearing a tie and acting deadly serious. It's perfectly normal to meet people over a beer – stated Sławomir Mentzen during a debate on TVP, Polsat, and TVN.

– I've already had five editions of "Beer with Mentzen." These are genuinely very pleasant meetings, which I invite everyone to. I personally enjoy them very much, and looking at the attendance, it seems participants do too – he continued.

During a debate on TVP, Polsat, and TVN, Szymon Hołownia asked Magdalena Biejat about the possibility of cooperation regarding, among other things, a ban on smartphones in schools and a tax on banks. The candidate from The New Left responded affirmatively. Then it was the Third Way candidate's turn for a retort.

"I am very pleased with this declaration, and yes, I also agree that one enters politics to bring about change, to realize values, to achieve goals, and from my side, it is also a firm 'no' to any laws involving subsidies for loans," Hołownia said.

"We will also fight for personal assistance, we will fight for it, even though our coalition partners, the Minister of Finance, are blocking this bill once again. We will fight to such an extent that if it doesn't happen, I declare it, we will leave the coalition," he continued.

– You voted for a healthcare budget that is short by 20 billion zlotys [...]. You and Włodzimierz Czarzasty often talk about agency. Are these minor issues, a paltry survivor's pension or a pilot program for a shorter work week in a few companies, worth the collapse of public healthcare? – Adrian Zandberg said during a debate on TVP, Polsat, and TVN, addressing Magdalena Biejat.

– Unlike you, Adrian, I don't look for excuses not to do things. I am in this, yes, difficult coalition precisely to get done the things we both promised in the 2023 campaign. And today, these older people, who not only lose a partner [...] but also their means of subsistence [...] cannot wait for state support – replied the New Left candidate.

– Women [...] cannot wait to change the definition of rape [...] until this government finally becomes ideal. And in this government, which you dislike so much, Donald Tusk's government, the Left is not afraid to fight for these issues. And on healthcare, we will also fight; unlike you, we are not giving up from the start. We will submit a concrete proposal for changing the financing of the healthcare system – she continued.

– It's time for a bit of courage, instead of sitting on the bench – she added.

Then it was time for the Razem candidate's retort.

– Magda, what are you talking about? Without you, this government doesn't have a majority. If you had stood your ground on this issue, you could have pushed it through. The point is, you didn't. Magda, this isn't about political squabbling, it's about the harm to thousands of people. There are truly more important things than a seat as Marshal of the Sejm for Włodzimierz Czarzasty – Zandberg said.

– And I am getting these matters for people done, and you are not – Biejat stated.

– A 20 billion zloty hole in the National Health Fund (NFZ), that's what you voted for – Zandberg retorted.

– It's a clear case, desertion in the face of the enemy – a shot to the head. An officer doesn't carry a sidearm to shoot from a trench, but precisely to shorten either their own life or that of a disobedient subordinate – stated Grzegorz Braun during a debate on TVP, Polsat, and TVN.

– We have a head of mission in Washington who called Donald Trump unhinged. In Rome, we have an ambassador who said Poland and the EU should pay for Nord Stream. So I have a question: would you sign the ambassadorial nominations for Klich and Schnepf? – asked Karol Nawrocki during the presidential debate.

– Mr. Karol, these types of decisions will be made by me once I become President of the Republic of Poland, and I will then consider thoroughly who should have a nomination and who should not – replied Rafał Trzaskowski.

– If I am to make decisions regarding ambassadors, I will be guided by the principle that they will strengthen my experience, that they will work towards our relations being as close as possible, and that our arguments reach Trump – the Civic Coalition candidate continued.

– This campaign is outstanding from TVP's side. No long interviews with candidates, you can't get to know them, one debate with short answers, it's simply a joke, not the fulfillment of a public service mission. On the other hand, 100 programs where we hear that you are wonderful, and your opponents are stupid, I don't know if that's what the mission of television should look like – stated Krzysztof Stanowski during the debate hosted by TVP, Polsat, and TVN.

– I must say, quite a nice quiz show, "How They Lie?", I enjoyed it, the level isn't the highest. Looking at this level, I feel that Aleksander Kwaśniewski would win it in the first round, even though, I remind you, he was swaying drunk over Polish graves, so he also had his skeletons in the closet – said Krzysztof Stanowski in a casual remark during a debate on TVP, Polsat, and TVN.

– This quiz show mainly consists of defrauding, no longer of studio apartments, but of the entire Presidential Palace, defrauding through empty promises, promises beyond presidential competencies – he continued.

– [The presidential elections] are about your security, the security of your children, but also your grandchildren. We will be secure if there are no illegal immigrants in Poland, if we seal our eastern and western borders and treat our borders like the fortresses of the Polish state against what threatens us, the influx of illegal immigrants. I will secure this and I will be the guardian of your state's security, I will strive for a unilateral renunciation of the Migration Pact – stated Karol Nawrocki during the presidential debate.

– But these elections are also about whether the Green Deal ideology will destroy our farms, our forests, whether foreign ideology will enter Polish schools, which need good Polish education, not something that isn't ours and doesn't come from us. This Sunday, we must clearly state that Poland should remain Poland with its over 1000-year heritage, with its values, with its tradition. I want such a Poland, vote for such a Poland – he continued.

– These elections are, of course, about security, about economic patriotism, about equal opportunities, so that everyone has a chance for exactly the same public services, regardless of where they were born or where they live. But recently, it has become important to recall the fundamental values that should guide us – stated Rafał Trzaskowski during the presidential debate.

– These are solidarity, empathy, respect, and openness to others, to everyone, building a community with all who want to talk about Poland, apart from those who, of course, think only of themselves and not of others. And in these recent days, it has become clear how important values such as simple human honesty, decency, and selflessness are, because yes, one must help others, but in a selfless manner, as well as transparency, but above all, truth, because a politician cannot be afraid of this truth. Truth must prevail, and that is what matters most today – he continued.

– A vote for me is a vote for a new generation of the left. One that, from street protests, through workers' strikes, to parliament and government, always stands on your side and is not afraid to fight for your rights. It's a vote for a leader who isn't there to eternally shout the same, lofty slogans, but one who rolls up her sleeves and, already now, in a difficult coalition, fights for their implementation every day – said Magdalena Biejat during an informal statement at the presidential debate.

– A vote for me is support for a policy that aims to solve your problems. If you want it to continue, if you want us to have a mandate to achieve even more in this government, then on May 18th, go to the polls, vote for a new quality of politics, vote for me – she appealed.

– 20 years ago, Tusk and Kaczyński took us all hostage. And for 20 years, they've been quite effectively convincing us that their war is the most important thing, their mutual hatred is the most important. And then, one or the other takes power, and each time we hear that nothing will change, that we can't afford more, that we are still a developing country – said Adrian Zandberg in an informal statement during a debate on TVP, Polsat, and TVN.

– In these elections, there are two groups of candidates. There are candidates blessed by Tusk, he blessed Mr. Hołownia, Madam Marshal Biejat, and of course Mr. Trzaskowski, who in his vision was supposed to win the elections. There are also, as is known, candidates for whom Jarosław Kaczyński is keeping his fingers crossed – he continued.

– In Poland, one can practice politics in such a way as to join one of these arrangements or the other. It is, of course, personally profitable, it is convenient, it is easy, but then you perpetuate this entire pathology – he went on to say.

– Mr. Marshal Hołownia asked me what I have in common with that young man who came to this studio 10 years ago to say that we can afford more. I still believe in it, Mr. Marshal, unlike you, I haven't given up on this matter. I believe that different politics, politics in the interest of millions of workers, and not in the interest of millionaires, is possible – he added.

– On May 18th, we can send Tusk and Kaczyński into retirement. It's high time – he stressed.

– This is the last chance, a proposal to behave honestly. Here you go, Mr. Karol, please accept it, read it, and see how one can behave honestly – stated Rafał Trzaskowski during the presidential debate.

– I will visit all Polish districts before the election, holding a meeting in each one. I've beaten Andrzej Duda's 2015 record. […] Why am I putting so much effort, time, work, and energy into this election campaign? Because I care so much about something finally changing in Poland after so many years. About the most important matters for Poland and Poles finally moving forward – said Sławomir Mentzen during an impromptu speech at the presidential debate.

– We don't have to agree on everything, […] but we can agree that it would be very good for everyone if the PiS and PO duopoly were finally broken, if Tusk and Kaczyński were finally sent into retirement, and if things were finally different in Poland. Believe me, it is truly possible. That is why, on May 18th, everyone go to the polls and vote for change – he continued.

– It's difficult to move bricks in the wall surrounding the fat cats in state-owned companies, but we are chipping away and we will succeed. The small wall around the interests of the tomcats from banks and developers is also already crumbling, brick by brick. Sunday is a great celebration for our Poland. Ladies and gentlemen, every vote you cast is a priceless brick. You can decide whether you want it to be used to build another wall, or whether it will serve to build a home – stated Szymon Hołownia during the TVP, Polsat, and TVN debate.
