Szymon Hołownia, the Poland 2050 presidential candidate, continues his visit to the Silesian Voivodeship. A press briefing will be held in Katowice at 11:00 AM, followed by an open-air meeting in Zawiercie at 6:00 PM.

The Council of Ministers meeting will commence at 12:00 PM. The agenda primarily features 9 draft acts concerning deregulation – these include the Tax Ordinance, the mObywatel app act, and the Pharmaceutical Law. Ministers will also address several other projects, including an amendment to the Act on the Defence of the Homeland.

At 12:30 PM in Warsaw, a press conference will be held by PiS MPs Przemysław Czarnek, Sebastian Kaleta, and Michał Wójcik.

At 4:15 PM in Kędzierzyn-Koźle, a rally will take place with the participation of the Mayor of Warsaw and Civic Coalition presidential candidate Rafał Trzaskowski.

Also today, the two-day session of the Monetary Policy Council begins, during which a decision regarding interest rate cuts may be made – such action has previously been called for by Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Marshal Szymon Hołownia, among others.

– What constitutes housing exploitation is owning multiple apartments without taxation, meaning the postulate of three more apartments – nevertheless, a cadastre. This affects less than 1% of people and requires a very careful approach to public property when it comes to housing – stated Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz in a conversation with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News’ “Grafitti”.

– And now, I absolutely do not share Mr. Mentzen’s view that if something happened here, then no more social housing, because it’s a bit like saying, if someone rides the bus for free, then let’s shut down all public transportation – she continued.

– Of course, this is a decision of the entire Council [of the Monetary Policy - RPP], it is a decision independent of politicians. Nevertheless, in my opinion, the time has come when this would be a good move. Inflation is lower than even forecasted, while we have very expensive loans in Poland and, of course, the central bank's rate is also a component of loan costs; its reduction would lead to lower loan prices – stated Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on Polsat News’s “Grafitti.”

– I would like to know the circumstances under which he [Karol Nawrocki] acquired this apartment. […] In those years in Pomerania, apartments were commandeered using individuals who were alcoholics, who had legal problems, who suffered from dementia, the elderly – said Sławomir Nitras in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program “Gość Radia Zet”.

– They looked for people who had municipal apartments, who were struggling and often through fictitious contracts, they were often given money for the purchase, and this matter strongly reminds me of such a mechanism. I want to know how it was […] 10-15 years ago, such a mechanism of commandeering municipal apartments operated – he continued.

– Nawrocki, at the moment he's in trouble, uses Macierewicz's methods. It was Macierewicz who perfected the method of 'services', 'foreign services', 'Germans', 'Russians'; these are Macierewicz's methods. He tried to distance himself from Macierewicz during the debate, but in reality, he applies his methods when uncomfortable facts from his biography catch up with him – said Sławomir Nitras on Radio Zet.

– Not a single zloty from this reform [lowering the health contribution] is to be taken from the healthcare system. Minister Domański has emphasized this many times. It's like asking: where will the money for widow's pensions or other such social investments, as we might call them, come from? It's not like that; you can reduce the burden on micro-enterprises without depleting the healthcare system. This is compensated from the budget, and that's how it was conceived. In my opinion, yes [the president should sign it] – stated Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on Polsat News' "Grafitti".

– I am in favor of pilot programs. I believe that all such research, experiments, but in a good sense, social innovations, are beneficial. I share the view that people work to live and live to work. It shouldn't be that we just have to bury ourselves in work, that people have to toil from morning till night – stated Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on Polsat News's "Grafitti".

– If we want to move in the direction of shortening working hours, we must first change our economy in such a way that every hour of work is worth much more. Because today, labor productivity in Poland is at the lower end of the EU scale – the minister continued.

– I believe that you cannot promise people things that will mean lower salaries, lower pensions – she added.

– The discussion revolves around a studio apartment that Mr. Karol Nawrocki does not use, which is the result of Mr. Karol Nawrocki helping a poor and lonely man years ago, to prevent him from becoming homeless – stated Przemysław Czarnek on Radio Wnet.

– Mr. Karol Nawrocki showed great nobility in helping a man who needed this help, and today confusion is being created around the value of the studio apartment, which was estimated at around 130,000 zlotys when it was acquired – he added.

– Ladies and gentlemen, we are talking about a 28 m2 studio apartment, an old studio apartment, the value of which is less than the mileage claims of Mr. Myrcha, Ms. Gajewska, and Mr. Kropiwnicki, paid for with our public money. Doesn't that surprise you? – stated Przemysław Czarnek on Radio Wnet.

– I am convinced that the nation is wise enough to see that we are dealing with a clash of two candidates. The first, who wants to eat Prince Polo with Donald Trump, and the second, who is meeting with Donald Trump, Poland's greatest ally, in extremely difficult and dangerous times as we have today, because right beyond our border, not far from which I am, an open war is raging and threatening the direct security of Poles – said Przemysław Czarnek on Radio Wnet.

– A drowning man clutches at straws, and this straw, which people from PO and Trzaskowski's campaign took into their hands yesterday, using for this clearly special services and using mainstream media, they will cut themselves with this straw even today, I assure you of this – said Przemysław Czarnek on Radio Wnet.

– I have no knowledge of the ABW, I have no knowledge whatsoever in this matter. […] Mr. Cenckiewicz is known for slander […]. He is Nawrocki’s crony, after all, we all know Cenckiewicz is linked to Nawrocki, and if Nawrocki, God forbid, won the election, Cenckiewicz would be an important figure in his chancellery. He is acting in his own interest – said Sławomir Nitras on Radio Zet, when asked about Sławomir Cenckiewicz’s remarks concerning the ABW and materials related to Nawrocki.

– Journalists revealed the issue of an apartment that Nawrocki claimed not to have, and they are dragging the ABW into this – he continued.

– I think you can see yourself that it's tinged a bit, I don't know, with envy – said Sławomir Nitras on Radio Zet, when asked about Szymon Hołownia's words that Rafał Trzaskowski isn't delivering even one percent more support than PO has in polls, and that it will be very difficult for him to gather 51% in the second round.

– As you can see – he continued, when asked if the Sejm Marshal was envious of someone.

– We are doing our part, we remember that we have a double responsibility, i.e., we are responsible for winning the presidential election, for a democratic candidate to win the presidential election, and we are responsible for the parliamentary majority. […] He [Hołownia] also bears responsibility for the fate of this coalition. These elections will end […] and the next day we will have to cooperate normally – he went on to say.

– I believe he is trying to convince voters at all costs and, of course, he has the right to do so. I would prefer if he highlighted his own strengths, not his opponent's weaknesses – he added.

– I am not surprised at all that stadium thugs are playing a role in Nawrocki’s campaign – said Sławomir Nitras on Radio Zet, when asked about banners at stadiums directed against Rafał Trzaskowski.

– I have not the slightest doubt [that they are connected] – he continued.

– No, they came up with it themselves? […] Most people at stadiums do not think at all the way these banners show. […] This is an organized action by Nawrocki’s staff, I have no doubt about it – he went on, when asked if the hooligans were in contact with the campaign staff.

– I appreciate the number of people who come to Sławomir Mentzen's meetings. He has courage, he's not afraid to go out, he's often told that he reads from a prepared script. And what does Nawrocki say? Also from a prepared script – Sławomir Nitras said on Radio Zet.

– I want to praise Mentzen in a certain sense. Mentzen had the courage to go out to the people, he is consistent in this, and indeed he gathers a significant number of people at rallies – he continued.

– Mentzen is the second politician in Poland after Trzaskowski who had the courage to go out to the people. And it's not easy, because it might turn out that you might be left alone, that people might not come, you might encounter aggression, you might encounter an unwelcome reception – he went on to say.

– In my opinion, Trzaskowski gathers, I think, two, even three times more [people at meetings] than Mentzen. Mentzen is absolutely in second place, and Nawrocki, in my opinion, Nawrocki perhaps gathers 10 times less than Mentzen. Look, there are at most a dozen or a few dozen people at these meetings – said Sławomir Nitras on Radio Zet.

– From the very beginning of this campaign, our opponents, the direct political backing of Rafał Trzaskowski, have been lying. They lied, they lied, and they will continue to lie. This is their way of campaigning; this is how they won the campaign in 2023, by deceiving Poles. Today, they are still conducting a campaign of hate, fakes, a campaign of lies. As you recall, in 2007, Jerzy Żywicki became a resident of a municipal social welfare center in Gdańsk and has been under the care of the municipal center in Gdańsk since 2007. Not Karol Nawrocki. Karol Nawrocki met Mr. Jerzy and met with him regularly, helping him in his very difficult situation, his loneliness, but also in his illness and all the weaknesses that Mr. Jerzy had – stated Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference.

– He met with him from 2008, regularly helped him in his life. This was met with a reaction from Mr. Jerzy, Mr. Jerzy's will written by him in Gdańsk on October 20, 2011: I, the undersigned, transfer my property by will to Karol Nawrocki. He acquired this studio apartment with funds that Karol Nawrocki lent him, transferred for this purpose. In 2012, everyone appeared before a notary in Gdańsk, on January 24, 2022, and signed a notarial deed – said the PiS politician.

– In no official document is there any mention of any donation. In no official document is there any obligation to provide care, nor is there any mention that the apartment was acquired due to taking over the care of Mr. Jerzy Żywicki. The question we are posing today to all journalists and politicians is: why did you lie, why did you slander Karol Nawrocki? To this day, the apartment is in the possession of Jerzy Żywicki, he has the keys, Karol Nawrocki bears the costs of the apartment, treating it as an apartment at Jerzy Żywicki's disposal as long as he lives – emphasized Professor Czarnek.

– Why did you lie that any illegal takeover of the apartment occurred, or any takeover with an immoral subtext? These are heinous acts in which mainstream media, and in our opinion, special services, are also involved. Shame, and it is this shame that we are now revealing – he added.

– Who are these informants, who is this „caregiver” who spoke to the Onet portal, claiming she was looking after Mr. Jerzy and attacking Dr. Nawrocki? That is Ms. Anna Kanigowska. – First and foremost, the words of Donald Tusk, a habitual liar and a man who has dealings with Vladimir Putin, the Prime Minister should rather confess his dealings, but also his path to the premiership in Poland – said Karol Nawrocki in an interview on the Rymanowski Live YouTube channel, when asked about Prime Minister Donald Tusk's words: "Mr. Nawrocki's housing scandal smells bad. – I guarantee you, Mr. Editor, and to all of you, that for the past two months we have had information that my file from the proceedings for access to classified information has been circulating, and unfortunately, someone will have to answer for this eventually – said Karol Nawrocki in an interview on the Rymanowski Live YouTube channel.

– Today is a big day because we are adopting a package, and I am glad it is without any controversies among ministers – almost none, the Finance Minister always has to observe something closely – but we are adopting a package of nine draft deregulatory laws,” Prime Minister Donald Tusk said during the Council of Ministers meeting.

– I am very pleased that this deregulation is not a propaganda slogan, but that in our approach it is very serious, very hard, and very intense work on changes, and these are massive changes to the law in many, many areas,” he indicated.

– What particularly catches my attention today is a long-awaited project that will make life easier for taxpayers. – This entire affair concerning the apartment and the doubts surrounding one of the candidates, with all its force, reminds us of a problem that the Commissioner for Human Rights has spoken about many times before. That is, the scale of fraud and scams, which affects elderly people in difficult financial situations, who hand over their apartments in exchange for, for example, a loan or care, assistance – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a government meeting.

– This is the most pressing issue today, but we know that older individuals often fall victim to other types of fraud, scams, and manipulation, not only from individuals but also from companies. I would ask you to treat this as a very urgent task, to prepare, together with the Ministry of Justice – and I am looking at Minister Myrcha here – recommendations on how Polish law can effectively protect seniors from fraud and from common scammers. It seems to me that this is the best response to the great turmoil that is currently sweeping through Poland – he continued.

– The current financial disclosure is from the year 2025. What my staff presented today is the financial disclosure from 2021. Here, Mr. Editor, you have it, because I know that Madam Marshal Biejat also inquired about my most up-to-date financial disclosure, which was also submitted to the Supreme Court – said Karol Nawrocki in a conversation on the Rymanowski Live channel on YouTube, when asked about the timeliness of the financial disclosure published by his staff that morning.

– It is from 2025. I will disappoint you, not much has happened with my assets between '21 and '25. Indeed, I have more cash reserves in Polish currency, but the matter of my apartments remains unchanged. My Opel Insignia car from 2011 has also depreciated – he continued.

– I think I was 24-25 years old then, so it was 2007, 2008, in my neighborhood, he was one of the neighbors. Of course, I knew him much earlier, but the acquaintance where we started talking, the moment from which I started helping him, was, I think, 2007, 2008 – said Karol Nawrocki in an interview on the Rymanowski Live YouTube channel, when asked about the beginnings of his acquaintance with Jerzy Ż.

– He was already under social care at that time, he was a person in need of help, sometimes, incidentally, I helped him in the way I could at the time […]. It was a very dynamic situation because the help I provided to Jerzy Żywicki, at one point began to exceed my capabilities, he had his problems […] a series of his problems, which I don't want to talk about because he is still a private individual – he continued.

– He had many problems, he was a person who had a complicated life, but at the same time, a person who truly showed promise that potential help would allow him to get back on his feet. […] As early as December 2011, Jerzy Żywicki wrote me a letter in which he directly asked me to transfer funds to him. He didn't have an apartment yet, no transactions, no specific actions of ours, but this letter from 2011 shows that it was a kind of […] relationship where he could count on me to transfer funds and other things to him – he went on to say.

– “Karol, send me 500 PLN,” this is one letter, a second letter refers to specific things, moreover, it became my shopping list for Jerzy Żywicki, because here are specific items related to his electricity bills, he asks for a kettle, for some kind of socks, for a shirt, this is already 2012, so it shows that this man truly, on the one hand, required help, despite being looked after by social services, he still had his needs – he added.

– The letters from ’11, from ’12 show that our acquaintance at that time was simply altruistic and followed a specific cycle – he emphasized.

– Regardless of whether I was looking after Mr. Jerzy Żywicki, how I looked after him, or not, the apartment we are talking about, I acquired legally, by transferring specific financial means to Mr. Żywicki according to a purchase and sale agreement over 14 years – said Karol Nawrocki in an interview on the Rymanowski Live YouTube channel.

– The intensity with which I looked after Jerzy Żywicki varied naturally, depending on the duties I performed. Indeed, after 2021 it was significantly less, because [...] I moved to Warsaw – he continued.

– I will not agree with that […] yes, he lived very modestly, the apartment itself is modest, you are giving yourself and social services a grade, because if he is cared for by Gdańsk social services and lives in poverty, then something isn't working in Gdańsk – said Karol Nawrocki in an interview on the Rymanowski Live YouTube channel, when asked if it was untrue that Mr. Jerzy lived in poverty.

– He indeed lived very modestly, and that's why he needed help from someone like me since 2011, and I provided that help whenever it was needed, I repeat, regardless of the apartment, because I had no such obligation. This apartment has belonged to me since 2017 – he continued.

"An option arose to purchase or buy out this apartment, for which Mr. Jerzy needed financial resources, and I provided him with those financial resources [...] I earned financial resources and then transferred them to Mr. Jerzy to cover his arrears in some communal rents and he had unpaid bills, and also completed the formalities regarding the buyout of the communal apartment," said Karol Nawrocki in an interview on the Rymanowski Live YouTube channel, when asked about the sequence of Mr. Jerzy's apartment buyout.

"I transferred about 20,000 zlotys. [...] There were some fees, I don't know, notary fees, lawyers [...]. A preliminary sales agreement has been signed [...] it regulates our obligations towards each other, refers to the market price of 120,000 zlotys and is a specific guarantee that these funds will be transferred to Jerzy Żywicki in a specific formula, taking into account the costs already incurred, and not taking into account the things I do out of goodwill and which I can afford," he continued.

"Transferring the entire amount of 120,000 to Mr. Jerzy Żywicki at that time would have been a threat to his life and health. This is the legally correct thing to do, lawyers convinced me of this at the time, and I confirmed it yesterday, that after concluding this type of agreement, their regulation and the amounts paid remain between the partners of such an agreement, this is something known on the market and is legal," he went on to say.

"These are years in which this amount is paid off, initially more, then less, in full. Yes [I was transferring 120,000 in installments], only it started even before this preliminary agreement was drawn up," he added.

"We are acting swiftly. Karol Nawrocki has received an invitation to provide explanations to the parliamentary justice committee on May 9th. Openly and publicly, of course" – Szymon Hołownia wrote on X.

– Marshal Hołownia overslept; he was busy with Sejmflix for such a long time, and now I see he's acting very dynamically during the election campaign. This doesn't speak well of the work of the Polish Sejm, but if gentlemen want to listen to my explanations […] I think there won't be a bigger problem with that – said Karol Nawrocki in an interview on the Rymanowski Live YouTube channel, when asked if he would attend the parliamentary committee on justice meeting, during which he is to provide explanations regarding his apartment purchase.

– I have specific plans for Friday and Thursday; I have concrete commitments, so this is, as it were, an attempt to disrupt my schedule. You, Mr. Editor, are not asking me to make a decision [regarding attendance at the meeting] right now – he continued, when pressed if he would come.

– I am talking about this matter openly; I have no objection to discussing it with MPs; there is no problem whatsoever, but we can see that the election campaign is overshadowing the Marshal of the Polish Sejm's sense of duty towards this Sejm. This is a campaign matter – he went on to say.

– The President is open to discussing adjustments to how entrepreneurs pay health contributions, but any changes implemented in such a sensitive area for all of us, for the entire society, must comply with the requirements of the Constitution – said Małgorzata Paprocka at a press conference.

– The act we are discussing today has faced very serious accusations […] yesterday, a meeting of the Social Dialogue Council took place at the Presidential Palace […] as everyone pointed out, the act was passed and presented without any social consultations. This is absolutely unacceptable in a democratic state governed by the rule of law – she continued.

– Listening yesterday to the voices of the social partners […] the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, decided to […] send the act […] with a request for its reconsideration by the Sejm, which, to put it plainly, means the President decided to veto this act – she went on to say.

Karol Nawrocki was asked by Bogdan Rymanowski about Sławomir Mentzen's post: “Nawrocki admitted on Rymanowski's show that he hadn't paid Jerzy Ż. for the apartment and deceived the notary by claiming he had already paid him for it. This is because the preliminary notarized agreement contains a declaration that he had already paid the full amount, i.e., 120 thousand zlotys! He claims that subsequent transfers for bills are repayment for this apartment. Yet, earlier he said he was paying bills as a form of assistance. He took over Jerzy Żywicki's apartment without paying for it! He exploited an elderly and ailing person in a difficult situation to take over his apartment. He didn't buy it for 120 thousand; there is no evidence that he ever paid for the apartment!”

– Mr. Sławomir Mentzen is deeply mistaken, because I said something completely different. […] I will reiterate the opinions of lawyers […] that out of concern for Jerzy Żywicki's life and health, I could not directly transfer the entire 120 thousand zlotys to him, but I repaid that sum […]. Of course, it took several years, but that sum has been repaid, – said Karol Nawrocki on the Rymanowski Live channel.

– Such possibilities exist on the open market, and lawyers – and I repeat this for the third time – confirmed […] that the settlement of these obligations is a matter between two parties, so Mr. Sławomir Mentzen is deeply mistaken here. The entire sum was repaid in installments that we agreed upon with Jerzy Żywicki both before and after the whole process, – he continued.

– I think so, that the Institute of National Remembrance is threatened if I lose the presidential election, which is why I intend to win it […] I don’t want to say that it is definitely the end of the IPN, but I think that the Institute of National Remembrance, if I lose the presidential election, will truly face an existential threat – said Karol Nawrocki in an interview on the Rymanowski Live YouTube channel, when asked if the IPN would be liquidated if he lost the election.

– I am very grateful to the President [...] for his support. I am honored, but I am not surprised [...] because President Andrzej Duda had the opportunity to see that we think similarly about many things, even though there are things in which we certainly differ – said Karol Nawrocki in an interview on the Rymanowski Live YouTube channel.

– I have no knowledge on this matter. These are questions for the campaign team – Małgorzata Paprocka stated at a press conference, responding to a question about whether the Presidential Chancellery and the President himself are monitoring developments concerning Karol Nawrocki, Jerzy Ż., and the apartment.

– This matter has no connection whatsoever to the Presidential Chancellery, the President, or today's conference topic. These are questions for the campaign team and the spokesperson – she asserted.

– I believe this is a responsible decision by President Andrzej Duda, because withdrawing further financial resources from healthcare, where people across Poland are waiting in ever-growing queues, and county hospitals are not receiving funds for over-performances, is very dangerous for public healthcare and constitutes the Civic Platform’s plan to privatize healthcare – Karol Nawrocki stated in an interview on the Rymanowski Live YouTube channel, when asked about President Andrzej Duda’s veto of the health contribution bill.

– When I become President of Poland, I will address this matter and also come up with an initiative, because there are entrepreneurs who need clear, unambiguous regulations and who are also awaiting solutions that will be beneficial for their economic activities – he continued.

– I think the Prime Minister should deal with his MPs, led by Mr. Kropiwnicki, who actually own many apartments – said Karol Nawrocki in an interview on the Rymanowski Live YouTube channel, when asked about Prime Minister Donald Tusk's post: "Mateusz, Karol, Jarosław, Joachim – they should all work in real estate. Plots, apartments, high-rises, renovations… Everything cheap or for free. You won't find better ones."

– He should also take a closer look at patodevelopment, which is increasingly aggressive in the urban areas managed by Donald Tusk's subordinates, so another funny, unserious comment from the Prime Minister of the Polish government – he continued.

“PiS increased the health contribution for entrepreneurs. I proposed its reduction. President Duda vetoed the reduction. They harm because they still can. 91 days, 9 hours, and 2 minutes remain,” wrote Prime Minister Donald Tusk on platform X.

– I am convinced that the President of the Republic of Poland should fight for us to talk to each other, not shout at each other. They should fight to extend an open hand, to help everyone who needs help, not to constantly clench their fist towards others. Unfortunately, some have confused politics with a boxing ring – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Kędzierzyn-Koźle.

– I am convinced that we should have a President of the Republic of Poland who will be an arbiter of Polish disputes, not someone who will stand solely and exclusively on one side of a political dispute. I am convinced that we need a President of the Republic of Poland who will temper emotions, not someone who will inflame emotions, and even worse, bad emotions. And unfortunately, this is often the case with my counter-candidates – he stated.

– We are facing a crisis of values. When I talk to young people, I realize this even more. And the values that are most important to us are, of course, patriotism, courage. […] But also values for which the whole world knows us: solidarity, empathy, care for the weaker. These are values we learned at home, which have been most important to all of us throughout our country's history – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Kędzierzyn-Koźle.

– However, I will honestly tell you that I didn't think I would have to return in the coming days to the most fundamental values: namely, honesty, disinterestedness. Because today it turns out that in political debate, we have to remind people of these most important values – he stated.

– Something that would seem to be a certainty, is clear to everyone, turns out not to be entirely so. That the President of the Republic of Poland, moreover: anyone who aspires to the office of President of the Republic of Poland, should above all be a disinterested person and an honest person – he emphasized.

– The red [in the Polish flag] is, of course, courage, because it is the color that comes from the blood spilled in the fight for Poland. But let's also remember the white. White is precisely honesty, selflessness. Poland is strong when these two values coexist – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Kędzierzyn-Koźle.

– In an election campaign filled with so much shouting, disinformation, lies, and untruth, it is sometimes worth recalling these most important values, especially when we observe what has been happening in recent days. Because yes, the President of the Republic of Poland should be a person who is independent and acts above divisions. But they must also be a person who is honest and selfless – he emphasized.

– It is worth talking about care and empathy today, because without care and empathy, without values, politics simply becomes pure cynicism. And we don't want cynical politicians who say one thing and do another, because today the most important thing is to be a credible politician – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Kędzierzyn-Koźle.

– There is one politician who says he sleeps with the Bible under his pillow. There are politicians who constantly try to teach us how to live, but it turns out they have very little in common with honesty and transparency. I implore you to remember this, because these elections are also about this. [...] Will we choose a Poland where honesty is rewarded, not cunning, where selflessness is rewarded, attentiveness is rewarded, care for fellow humans – he continued.

– They're upset because they don't know how to benefit their own without costing the majority of people. And they still can't. Don't let them! – wrote President Andrzej Duda on the X portal, responding to the Prime Minister's post.

– I don't want people like Nawrocki to help anyone, because that help ends exceptionally badly for those people. And now the PiS guys are attacking me for saying this. And why shouldn't I talk about it? – Sławomir Mentzen said in a recording published on his YouTube channel.

– Your candidate did it. He lied either in a sworn statement or in an interview with Rymanowski. He did it, I'm just saying what this man did. I understand, unfortunately, that at this moment it increases Rafał Trzaskowski's chances at the expense of Karol Nawrocki, but it's not my fault that in the entire PiS party and its circle, you couldn't find a single reasonably honest person who doesn't have such shady dealings behind them – he continued.

– You couldn't nominate anyone for these elections who had anything to do with the eight years of PiS rule, because almost everyone there stole and almost every one of them was involved in some scandal [...], so you took someone who didn't rule [...]. Well, and again you found a guy who drove a sick, elderly person to give him their apartment without paying anything for it – stated the Confederation candidate.

– Are there really no honest people in PiS's circle whom you could have nominated for these elections? It's your fault, not mine – he added.

– I expect him [Karol Nawrocki] to tell the truth. That doesn't seem like too much to ask... No, in my opinion, we don't know [the truth] because every time Mr. Nawrocki is asked about this matter, he presents a different truth and speaks of a different truth. At first, the story was that he had one apartment, then it turned out he had two. Later, he said the apartment was in the form of, as I understand it, a certain life annuity, meaning someone transferred the apartment to him in exchange for care, then he said it was for 120,000 PLN. Later it turned out that there weren't those 120,000 PLN, but probably payments over many years – Szymon Hołownia stated on TVP Info.

– Karol Nawrocki is being evasive, and he is a high-ranking state official, he is. A person who holds a very responsible position, he is supervised by the Committee on Justice and Human Rights, the entire IPN [Institute of National Remembrance], and the law requires the President of the IPN to adhere to high moral standards. The committee therefore has the right to ask – he continued.

– They are clear [my expectations]. He [Karol Nawrocki] should resign from running for president. Someone with an unblemished reputation should run for president, and murky relations with a person in need, poor, disabled, who I don't know if he knows whether he did or not, whether he willed the apartment to Nawrocki, what the financial relations looked like, which have not been clarified, all of this smells very bad – stated Szymon Hołownia on TVP Info.

– What I'm talking about, what I discuss, and what people want to discuss with me at the meetings I have, is not Nawrocki at all. It's security, the future of the tax-free amount and health contributions, it's the security of our children – stated Szymon Hołownia on TVP Info.

– Today, neither PO nor PiS are capable of governing alone. They need coalition partners; this is the beginning of the system's fragmentation, and I have decided to run against both Donald Tusk's and Jarosław Kaczyński's candidates in order to try to fragment the Presidential Palace in this regard – stated Szymon Hołownia on TVP Info.

– If you ask me what I will do in the second round, I will do what needs to be done, and even if I consider a solution where PO has the President, and the Prime Minister, and probably then the Speaker of the Sejm, because he will probably be replaced in this polarizing key, then this solution will lead to the fact that most likely PiS with Konfederacja will have greater chances in 2027, because the pendulum will simply swing the other way – stated Szymon Hołownia on TVP Info.

– A figure emerges of a man who was supposed to look after an elderly person… and in the end, he took care of the person's apartment. That is to say, someone is running for president who is capable, it's possible, I emphasize, who is capable of 'swiping' someone's apartment, twisting things, telling falsehoods, deceiving – said Włodzimierz Czarzasty in an interview with Monika Olejnik on TVN24's "Kropka nad i" (The Dot Over the 'i').

– This case is about one guy simply 'swiping' another guy's apartment, and that's it, that's how it looks – he continued.

– Absolute nonsense. […] This government would never allow itself that. […] Because it is made up of honest people. Simply of people who wouldn't touch such matters – said Włodzimierz Czarzasty on TVN24, when asked about the narrative that the services are acting to find dirt on Nawrocki.

– I know Siemoniak, who is the supervisor of all these services […]. He is an honest guy […] I’ve known him for a long time, it would never occur to him – he continued.

– Yes, we said from the beginning that this is a bad law – said Włodzimierz Czarzasty on TVN24, when asked if he was satisfied with President Andrzej Duda's veto.

– I am as satisfied as the government that voted for this contribution together with Confederation. I am not satisfied that this happened, because today they vote on health contributions with Confederation, tomorrow they might vote on, for example, paid or free studies – he continued, when asked if he was satisfied that Magdalena Biejat asked Andrzej Duda to veto the reduction of the contribution.

– Perhaps [Prime Minister Donald Tusk] wanted to save entrepreneurs, but this bill didn't save entrepreneurs, because if an entrepreneur has an income of 4,000 a month, thanks to this bill they gained 100 PLN. If they have 5,000 a month, thanks to this bill they gained 130 PLN per month – said Włodzimierz Czarzasty on TVN24.

– If Hołownia, because he introduced this bill [regarding the health contribution], although he wasn't supposed to introduce it, because we agreed in October that we would handle all difficult matters after the presidential elections, we stated this at the government meeting, we clearly presented our position. If anyone thinks that over the course of a year, if a small entrepreneur with 5,000 PLN in monthly revenue gains 1,300 PLN in a year, they will hire a new employee or buy a machine, then they have no idea what they are talking about – he continued.

– This matter smells very bad, one could even say it stinks. I don't believe in coincidences like a senior gentleman suddenly buying an apartment with a discount, and literally a few weeks later Mr. Nawrocki appears out of nowhere, a knight in shining armor, wanting to help him, and in this way takes over the apartment, somewhat circumventing Polish law. It looks like a giant scam and it appears we still have a lot to investigate here – stated Marcin Kierwiński on the program 'Fakty po Faktach' on TVN24.

– Mr. Nawrocki himself brought up this topic, so if any special services are behind it, I understand those special services that illegally spied using Pegasus during the PiS era, and that Nawrocki himself has some strange contacts with them. Complete absurdity. What PiS politicians are saying is a failed attempt at defense because they have a giant problem. Because it is very likely that this scandal is sinking their candidate, it is actually sinking their entire political camp, […] which put forward such an individual for the President of Poland – stated Marcin Kierwiński on TVN24.

– But these are true words. […] When you are the leader of The Left, you have to speak the truth. Therefore, I said something and I am not backing down from it – said Włodzimierz Czarzasty on TVN24 when asked if he regretted his words “Biejat won’t win, but she has a chance to be fourth”.

– There are two packs. One pack is three-person, and the second pack is the one where Magda and Szymon Hołownia are. We are fighting for first place in the second pack. In the second pack, if we get first place, it will be fourth place – he continued.

– I will not tell the electorate, whom I value and who votes for The Left, things like Magda will win this election, because she won't win – he went on to say.

– I view this gesture by the President as that of an extremely politicized bureaucrat, who, in the final stretch – as he only has 91 days left – is still trying to help his political camp. Mr. President, this issue will return, and your veto will be of no use – stated Marcin Kierwiński on TVN24.

– Mr. Braun is known for behavior that is simply scandalous, and it's good that his immunity has been revoked and he will face justice. I believe that once the justice system concludes this case, because now it will be able to, Mr. Braun will no longer be such a braggart. There must be a very strong state reaction here, and this state reaction will come, and I know that Minister Bodnar will see this matter through to the end – said Marcin Kierwiński on TVN24.

– Yes, it certainly smells like an apartment was acquired through a scam. And certainly, what has happened is extremely unethical. Let's all consider, using an elderly, infirm person in this way to take over their apartment. Is this supposed to be a state official? Is this supposed to be someone running for the most important office in the country? This is unthinkable – said Marcin Kierwiński on TVN24.

– I have the impression that Nawrocki is simply the pure DNA of PiS, because very many people have made such deals in their lives – he added.
