At 10:00 AM, PiS-backed presidential candidate Karol Nawrocki will visit the "Bracia Górscy" grain mill in Repki, followed by a press conference in Węgrów at 11:40 AM. A meeting with residents of Garwolin is scheduled for 3:45 PM, and another with residents of Grójec at 6:00 PM.

Szymon Hołownia, the candidate for Polski 2050, will visit the Silesian Voivodeship. A press briefing will take place in Ziemięcice at 1:15 PM, and an open-air meeting will be held in Rybnik at 6:00 PM.

At 2:00 PM, President Andrzej Duda will participate in consultations with social partners of the Social Dialogue Council regarding the amendment to the act on healthcare benefits financed by public funds. In practice, this concerns a reduction in health contributions, an act awaiting the head of state's decision – Duda had previously suggested he might not sign it.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk will participate in the celebrations of Liberation Day in the Netherlands. At the invitation of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the head of government will deliver the main speech during the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Netherlands. He will also meet with King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and Prime Minister Dick Schoof.

The ceremonies will commence at 10:40 AM, with the Prime Minister's address scheduled for 11:20 AM. A meeting with the Prime Minister will take place at 1:45 PM, followed by a meeting between the Prime Ministers and the media at 2:20 PM. A delegation meeting is scheduled for 2:40 PM, and a visit to Driel at 4:15 PM at the invitation of Honorary Consul Arno Baltussen.

In the evening, Donald Tusk will meet with the royal couple of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, greet representatives of the parliament, government, ambassadors, and overseas territories, and attend the annual concert marking the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Netherlands. The last item on the agenda is a boat trip at 10:00 PM.

At 10:30 AM, the Pegasus Investigative Committee will question Adam Cieślak, Commander of the Central Bureau of Combating Cybercrime, followed by retired Inspector Grzegorz Napiórkowski, former Director of the Criminal Bureau of the National Police Headquarters. At 12:30 PM, MPs will question retired Inspector Dariusz Cybura, former Deputy Director of the Criminal Bureau of the National Police Headquarters, and then retired Junior Inspector Tomasz Książkiewicz, former Head of the Operational Techniques Division of the Criminal Bureau of the National Police Headquarters.

– I think everyone is interested in why a candidate of the party calling itself Law and Justice lies during a debate. Why the candidate later issues bizarre statements, and the second statement from his spokesperson is in clear contradiction with the first statement, and in general, very serious questions arise regarding Mr. Nawrocki’s honesty – said Barbara Nowacka in “Rozmowa Piaseckiego” on TVN24.

– Mr. Karol Nawrocki lied in the debate, Mr. Karol Nawrocki also clearly hid the apartment from his team. As we read in Onet today, the person from whom he took over the apartment […] is in a Social Welfare Home, which means they are in a poor condition, they are a poor person – she continued.

– Mr. Karol has not shown any interest in this person since December, to whom, out of gratitude, according to his spokesperson, he constantly shops and delivers medication. This is disgusting, these are lies pointing to a very slippery history – she went on.

– Whoever he may be, Mr. Nawrocki takes possession of his apartment, claims to be looking after him, then it turns out he isn’t, because since December, i.e., since he entered politics, he doesn’t know where he is, and the person is in a nursing home. So, how is he looking after him, when did he take possession of the apartment, and when will he show his asset declaration? – Barbara Nowacka said on TVN24.

– Mr. Nawrocki can show his asset declaration, nothing stands in his way […]. I don't know what was agreed upon [whether it was a life annuity agreement with Mr. Jerzy], but Karol Nawrocki must clarify this. He must explain the bizarre post by the master of journalism, his spokesperson, who says she is looking after him, does his shopping, pays for his medication, and doesn’t know where he is, while the person is in a nursing home. Therefore, I would also like an explanation of Mr. Nawrocki’s moral stance – she continued.

– I spoke yesterday with a person who was associated with the police in Sopot, and they said that this world around Mr. Nawrocki also revolves around apartments, among other things. The world around Mr. Nawrocki, meaning his associates. Apartments in Gdańsk and Sopot are very expensive, very valuable, and reportedly, as in many similar places in Poland, such ties between gangsters and apartment acquisition did indeed occur – Barbara Nowacka said on TVN24.

– I am putting forth the thesis that Mr. Nawrocki should explain himself regarding his associates. I am absolutely not putting forth the thesis [that Karol Nawrocki extorted an apartment from someone]. I am only putting forth the thesis that Mr. Nawrocki has strange associates, he has gangster associates, he also has questionable acquisitions like apartments, and I expect him to clarify all of this – she continued.

– I don't know [if Karol Nawrocki's meeting with Donald Trump will influence the election results]. It will certainly boost the result, certainly in the first round, yes]. Donald Tusk also thinks so, after all, in 2023, when President Biden visited Poland in February, Donald Tusk wasn't even an MP, the leader of the opposition, Civic Platform, he politely stood in line at the Royal Castle just to take a photo with the incumbent US President Joe Biden – stated Marcin Mastalerek in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Radio Zet.

– And when today I hear criticism that Karol Nawrocki is received with dignity in the White House, because it was dignified, in the Oval Office, I would remind [you] how Donald Tusk politely stood in a queue at the Royal Castle for one photo, and then, it seems, he and Rafał Trzaskowski argued about who had the photo with Joe Biden longer, because Trzaskowski – it seems – was also in that queue – he continued.

– Karol Nawrocki spent over 7 and a half hours at the White House, he was in Washington at the invitation of President Trump. We had been planning a visit to Chicago for several weeks for the annual 3rd of May Constitution Parade held there every year, when politicians in Washington learned that Mr. Karol Nawrocki would be in the United States, they invited him to the White House – stated Adam Bielan in the program "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

– It was a one-on-one conversation. A few minutes, an exchange of pleasantries, President Trump knew the situation in Poland quite well, he was aware of the ongoing campaign, and he stated that President Nawrocki would win, although Poles will decide that – he added.

– I am not aware of any contacts Trzaskowski has had with anyone important from the Republican Party, and considering what I myself have heard in the White House regarding Civic Platform (PO) and regarding the violation of the rule of law by politicians and ministers of this government, I dare to claim that the current government, and especially PO, has very weak relations – stated Adam Bielan on Polsat News.

– Nothing in politics is free. Mr. Nawrocki did not go there [to the USA] to do business for Poland, but for himself. I would like to know what political price was paid for this meeting. I would like to ask what future commitments Nawrocki, who asks for a photo to boost his campaign atmosphere […] is undertaking – Barbara Nowacka said on TVN24.

– How does this same man imagine himself later as president, who will negotiate toughly with Trump in Poland’s interests. Because we have to negotiate. And what was the price? Softness on armament issues? […] I would like to ask Mr. Nawrocki’s campaign staff what they promised, where they promised subservience, dependence, so that their candidate could have a photo – she continued.

– These are not international contacts, this is a photo. […] Did Karol Nawrocki achieve anything there for Poland? He says he spoke about how things are going badly in Poland, meaning he acted against the broadly understood interests of the Republic – she went on to say.

– No, absolutely not [we went to complain]. I was at most of the meetings Karol Nawrocki had. He didn't complain to anyone, he answered questions. There were questions about the violation of the rule of law in Poland, it's difficult for such questions not to arise, given that the general prosecutor's office was forcibly taken over, that public television was forcibly taken over, that the current government announces the liquidation of independent media – said Adam Bielan on Polsat News.

– [They asked about the rule of law] primarily by congressmen who are, this situation, concerned. We met with leading congressmen who, it's worth emphasizing, came to the White House specifically to meet with Karol Nawrocki, this proves his standing – he continued.

– Karol Nawrocki, unlike Mr. Sienkiewicz, was in the White House, he was invited by the President of the United States and is the first Polish politician to have been in the Oval Office since Donald Trump's inauguration. Apart from President Andrzej Duda, whose term is ending, he is the only Polish politician at this moment who has direct contact with Donald Trump – said Adam Bielan on Polsat News.

– It's obvious that in a moment of threat and with a war on the border, having good relations with the American president helps. However, whether the campaign team will ultimately be able to leverage this or not, one thing is certain – and with both sides of the dispute in the USA, meaning both Republicans and Democrats, one must maintain good relations. And today, after the Democrats lost, PO should be doing everything to build good relations on the other side – stated Marcin Mastalerek on Radio Zet.

– Poland is the most pro-American country, and Poles know that our security is built by our strong army and our alliances, and our most important ally is the alliance with the USA, though of course not everyone thinks so. Some believe that Germany will defend us – stated Marcin Mastalerek on Radio Zet.

– Every school can introduce such a ban [on smartphones in schools]; over 60% of schools have already introduced it. […] It works very well because there is an agreement between parents, teachers, and young people. […] Then the real problem begins, over 4 hours at home. So, if someone wants to solve a problem where it doesn't exist, i.e., in school, and pretend that it solves the problem at home, they are completely mistaken – said Barbara Nowacka on TVN24.

– I believe that a ban on smartphones in schools is currently in effect, and I believe that with a top-down law, we will not achieve the goal we care about. […] Why do we think everything needs to be centralized? Why would someone who wanted a referendum and a nationwide debate on women's rights suddenly decide to impose an additional statutory obligation on teachers when 60% of schools have already achieved this today – she continued.

– Szymon Hołownia held a meeting in the Sejm precisely on this matter and was so criticized by all experts dealing with children, mental health, and the use of social media that he stopped talking about this topic – she added.

– Everything indicates that President Duda’s words were prophetic when, on February 22nd, at a large conservative conference during a meeting with President Trump, he said: Donald, dear President, he [Vladimir Putin] will deceive you, he is a KGB agent. On our watch, these prophetic words of Andrzej Duda are coming true, and even Donald Trump is saying it – stated Marcin Mastalerek on Radio Zet.

– Yes, absolutely [special services were behind the second apartment of Nawrocki]. We've known for several weeks that one of the media outlets friendly with the current government, after bets were placed in our headquarters, and I bet on Onet and I wasn't mistaken, would try to attack Karol Nawrocki – stated Adam Bielan on Polsat News.

– We have a special services operation, the use of media friendly with the current government to attack a candidate – he added.

– One thing is the issue of flawed appointments and the exclusion of judges during court proceedings, which is happening right now. […] What Advocate General [of the ECJ] Spielmann says is that you cannot automatically apply the same criterion to all individuals because the circumstances of their appointments may have differed – stated Adam Bodnar during the TOK FM Morning Show.

– There might be individuals who are new judges, graduates of the National School of the Judiciary and Public Prosecution, and there might be judges who ended up in the Supreme Court, in relation to which these procedures were abused in various ways. After all, this is the basis, for example, for excluding the functioning of the Chamber of Extraordinary Review and Public Affairs – he explained.

– So, in a sense, Advocate General Spielmann is saying: you actually have different categories and you cannot apply one yardstick to all these individuals. And the same applies to the project. The project involves dividing these individual groups into groups of judges, into – as the Venice Commission also suggested – so-called cohorts. This project has been discussed in every possible way – he stated.

– I have said many times, for several months now, that the entire state apparatus would move against Karol Nawrocki, it would move between the first and second rounds. Generally, I believe that these expenses, at some point in the future, when PiS returns to power, these expenses on services and the prosecution should be included in the election campaign of the PO candidate. Where does such knowledge come from? It's obvious, for months hooks have been collected against him, against Karol Nawrocki, and using special services methods. This is obvious to everyone – stated Marcin Mastalerek on Radio Zet.

– I know one thing – the entire state is trying to destroy this man – he continued.

– I think this is a confluence of various circumstances that are probably difficult to justify to the public, but they simply happened – said Adam Bodnar on TOK FM's morning show, when asked why the procedures against Grzegorz Braun are taking so long.

– Regarding the fire extinguisher and 6 other offenses committed by Grzegorz Braun, […] his immunity was revoked by our Sejm, after which he became a Member of the European Parliament. Shortly thereafter, the prosecutor's office issued a request to revoke his immunity, and unfortunately, this request lay in the European Parliament for a good six months, waiting to be processed. […] The European Parliament's Committee on Rules of Procedure has already issued an opinion on this matter, and this request will be voted on tomorrow around 12:00 PM – he continued.

– The second matter, concerning Oleśnica, is that in this case, the proceedings are being conducted by the prosecutor's office in Wrocław, and here I think the request to revoke immunity is a matter of – what do I know? – maybe 10-12 days – he indicated.

– The President will have a meeting today with Rafał Brzoska, at 11 AM in the Presidential Palace, so I think the President is warmly considering both deregulation and having people from outside politics bring forward some solutions, proposals for solutions precisely on deregulation matters – stated Marcin Mastalerek on Radio Zet.

– Together with fellow MP, Minister Anna Gembicka, we are going on a parliamentary inspection to the Minister-Coordinator of Special Services, because an unprecedented scandal has occurred. We are dealing with an unimaginable scandal, the involvement of entire services to attack a civic presidential candidate, Dr. Karol Nawrocki – stated Andrzej Śliwka at a press conference.

– The events of recent days have shown that the only candidate from this group, among this field, who has presidential stature, is Dr. Karol Nawrocki. Therefore, the current authorities have decided to launch operation "Karol". An operation aimed at discrediting Dr. Karol Nawrocki, based on fakes, based on untrue information – he continued.

– What we are observing now, this unprecedented involvement of services in the election campaign, are simply standards from beyond our eastern border. The disclosure of information from security questionnaires, the use of Polish-language media journalists, with German capital, one could say as pawns in special services operations – stated Anna Gembicka at a press briefing.

– Everything that is happening, that has been initiated by Donald Tusk's team, against Doctor Karol Nawrocki, shows that these are absolutely unscrupulous people who will not hesitate to break any law – she added.

– Let us not turn a blind eye to the resurgence of evil. This experience from 80 years ago shows us that only by standing shoulder to shoulder can we overcome this evil, and just as then, our strength today lies in unity and cooperation – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during the celebrations of Dutch Liberation Day.

– In the face of the threats posed by Putin's Russia, we must deepen our European and transatlantic ties and we need true solidarity, which in my personal political vocabulary is the most important word, true solidarity between nations and people, which will protect us from this evil shaping our present and future – the Prime Minister continued.

– The era of Europe's carefree comfort, of joyful nonchalance, is over. Today has become a time of European mobilization around our fundamental values and our security – he added.

– I am pleased that state television is filming this apartment today. Neighbors are already informing me that you are more interested in the matter of this studio apartment than my meeting with President Donald Trump, so I am glad you are providing information about the apartment – stated Karol Nawrocki in Węgrów.

– I fortunately live with my family in a 59-square-meter apartment, for which, like an honest Pole, I am still paying off a loan, but to answer you directly, Madam Editor, I would have to paint a somewhat broader picture – stated Karol Nawrocki in Węgrów.

– We are participating in presidential elections, where on one hand, one of the candidates, the civic candidate supported by PiS, is deprived of financial resources. Only thanks to these people who are here and contribute to the committee can this campaign proceed. This is against the law, because in the democratic world, principles of this kind, for the first time in Poland after 1989, are in force, that a party is directly deprived of subsidies – he continued.

– We are participating in presidential elections where Polish state institutions have actually been operating as part of my opponent's campaign committee for some time. The Supreme Audit Office, state television, are in my main opponent's campaign staff – said Nawrocki.

– State television performs certain tasks benefiting my opponent using our financial resources, including organizing a candidates' debate, which took place on your channel – stated Karol Nawrocki in Węgrów.

– In recent days, the Internal Security Agency has joined the Polish state institutions that are assisting Rafał Trzaskowski. Thus, a systematic process to destroy one of the candidates is underway, but what is worst, because I will cope with it, as you can see, Madam Editor, I do not lack smiles and faith in victory, this does not destroy the candidate Karol Nawrocki, because I will survive this and I will win these elections, this destroys the institutions of the Polish state, Madam Editor, and this is a deeply concerning matter for the future of the Polish state – stated Karol Nawrocki at a press conference.

– I took care of an old, sickly man who was my neighbor for years, I supported him, there is a lot of evidence for this, which you [the public/media] do not reach for. This is evidence that I supported this man for many years, even though I did not have a stable job or financial means at the time. Ultimately, it ended with the fact that, according to the law, I am the owner of an apartment to which I have no keys, because this man lived in that apartment, and I did not derive any financial benefits from this apartment. To this day, I bear the financial costs for this apartment, it's a 28-square-meter studio apartment – stated Karol Nawrocki in Węgrów.

– I guarantee that I have nothing to hide in my financial statement. I am a humble person, but the procedure at the IPN is such that my financial statement goes to the Supreme Court. If there is an opportunity, we are checking the legal options and I will make my financial statement public – stated Karol Nawrocki in Węgrów.

– Yes, I will publish my financial disclosure statement if it is legally possible. I believe it is legally possible. Today, my associates are contacting the Supreme Court to obtain and publish this financial disclosure statement – stated Karol Nawrocki in Węgrów.

– I am calling on Donald Tusk's government to inform us about the current state of Polish farms. When I become President of Poland, thanks to your commitment and your votes, dear citizens, it may turn out that we will not have the opportunity to act in this area. However, this does not change the fact that all farmers will have the support of the President of Poland, and I will address this issue – said Karol Nawrocki at a press conference.

– Regardless of the fact that we support Ukraine in the war with the Russian Federation, which is our strategic and natural direction of action as a Polish state, I will never agree to unfair competition from Ukraine destroying those who feed us and also destroying consumers – he continued.

– Back then [in 2023], we said either the Third Way or PiS's third term. Today, it's exactly the same. As we joke in our headquarters, the choice between Civic Platform (PO) and PiS condemns us to a Duda rerun – said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

– Look at what happened in Romania this weekend. Some politicians from the old guard still think that by eliminating this polarizing option, PiS and PO, however they are called in different countries, they are describing today's politics. They underestimate the potential that parties like the AfD, brown candidates, and people who are dangerous for democracy have today – he continued.

– Therefore, today we should not draw this line as Civic Platform or PiS, but rather as a politician who hates people versus a politician who respects people and cares for them […]. Lack of humanity or humanity, not an endorsement by Donald or Jarosław – he went on to say.

– Everything indicates that Mr. Nawrocki is being evasive. He wants to be the President of the Republic, and yet he is being evasive. […] This is a one-person office, a one-person mandate, very strong, which requires […] a certain kind of moral qualification, a certain kind of ethos, a certain character, courage or lack of courage – said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

– If a person is evasive on such a matter [housing], it means that he will probably continue to be evasive as president, and perhaps even more so as president, when he is already acting under the principles of "live and let live" or "devil may care". Therefore, for all those who were considering voting for Karol Nawrocki, a yellow light has flickered today – he continued.

– Of course, one can talk about services, about revenge, about this, about that, but the truth is that he [Karol Nawrocki] is twisting the facts. If he’s not twisting them, then he should be able to answer 5 simple questions. The first question is whether he entered into a life annuity agreement with this gentleman, meaning care in exchange for an apartment – said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

– If such an agreement was in place […] why, when the aforementioned Mr. Jerzy was placed in a Social Welfare Home (DPS), did Mr. Nawrocki not cover the costs of his stay in that DPS, because according to the law, he is obliged to do so. […] To not realize for so many months that this person ended up in a DPS and not even look for him, while journalists manage to find him in a few hours, that’s the third question, how was that even possible. […] Is it possible that Mr. Nawrocki is lying when he says he didn’t know that Mr. Jerzy had been placed in a DPS – he continued.

– Another question, the fourth: why did Mr. Nawrocki lie during the debate, at which I was also present, saying that he owns only one apartment? […] The last question for Mr. Nawrocki, perhaps since he cared so much about Mr. Jerzy, maybe he could provide a contact for his family […] if the family of this man wishes to contact me […] I declare on my behalf full support. Legal, organizational – he went on to say.

– This bill was not consulted with the Social Dialogue Council, which I consider an unacceptable situation, a very bad situation. Therefore, as someone who has, from essentially the very beginning of my presidential mission, also exercised a kind of care, a patronage over the Social Dialogue Council, I wanted to hear your opinion in corpore. That is, by requesting a meeting with the Social Dialogue Council, so that we can discuss this matter before I make a decision regarding the future of the bill – stated President Andrzej Duda at a meeting with the Social Dialogue Council.

– Mr. President, the era of exploiting full-time employees is over. I remember the years 2012-2013, when the government of Prime Minister Donald Tusk promoted so-called 'junk contracts,' meaning pushing employees into self-employment solely because it was cheaper. If someone wants to pay a lower contribution, they must accept that they will have worse benefits; what you pay in contributions is what you get in benefits – stated Piotr Duda at the meeting with the Social Dialogue Council.

– If today some people want to pay a smaller contribution, and full-time employees are expected to pay 9% of their gross salary, then that person who will have a lower contribution will receive a phone call from their doctor, from Marshal Hołownia, asking how they are feeling, and that's the level of benefits we're talking about – he added.

– He is not obliged to do so, because we do not have such a law in Poland, but I think this is a dilemma that voters will face today. If voters believe that after what has happened [...] they expect a financial disclosure from Mr. Nawrocki, then he should submit one – said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference, when asked whether Karol Nawrocki should reveal his financial disclosure and why he has not done so yet.

– There is another problem. Even if he submits it, who guarantees that he will submit it truthfully? If he lied about how many apartments he owns when asked in front of an audience of millions of Poles, then who will stop him from lying about other matters two weeks before the election, when no one will have time to verify it? – he continued.

– Germany started it, in terms of effectively liquidating the Schengen zone on our border. We are strong proponents of the Schengen zone in Europe and want it to function, however, we have not taken actions related to closing our western border from our side, primarily because it would further complicate life for people who work on the other side, for example – said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

– We treat this as a last resort. Our task is, of course, to increase the number of checks, because that is necessary, but also to exert pressure on Germany, which we are doing as a government, as a coalition – he continued.

– The great tragedies of Europe, whether World War I or World War II, also stemmed from political blindness, indifference, ambiguity. Tolerance for evil. And we are here today also to say very clearly and loudly that Europe and the Western community must never repeat such a mistake again – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference in the Netherlands.

– To commemorate the end of World War II today in Red Square, in the shadow of the Kremlin, is not only political blindness, especially for a European. It is not my task to comment on the decisions of the President of China or Brazil; they likely have different perspectives on history and the present, but no European has the right, cannot pretend not to see where the threat lurks and how important it is to maintain solidarity and the European community – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference in the Netherlands.

– Nothing bad happened on the stage where the concert was just about to begin. Someone threw a smoke bomb, probably someone protesting about Gaza, Palestine. We know these emotions in Poland; people here have various emotions and views. I 100% share the Prime Minister's opinion. There are places and times where it's worth focusing on what is essential – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference in the Netherlands.

– I would very much like representatives of other countries not to interfere in our elections. Consequently, I myself will not interfere in the elections taking place in Romania. As the [Dutch] Prime Minister said, our task is to jointly uphold fundamental democratic principles throughout Europe. Therefore, we would like elections everywhere, in Romania, to be fair, and for no one to attempt to use any tools or instruments that would distort the election results – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference in the Netherlands.

– This apartment affair involving Mr. Nawrocki smells bad. Let's not deceive ourselves. As I understand it, Mr. Nawrocki was supposed to look after Mr. Jerzy, but he looked after his apartment. So I wonder if we would want him to look after Poland. Frankly, I wouldn't want Poland to suddenly find itself in the situation Mr. Jerzy is in. But that is the voters' decision – Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated at a press conference in the Netherlands.

– The history of this place teaches us never to confuse peace with capitulation. It means I cannot imagine any of our countries contributing to Putin's victory in this war. And that is why everything must be done to ensure peace, and the only path that leads to such a just peace, which will truly be security, also building security for our countries, is the path of support for Ukraine in its confrontation with Russia – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference in the Netherlands.

– A Poland of solidarity is a Poland where the capable and strong thrive, but we will never let those who need the support of the Polish state be forgotten. That is why I am running for the office of President of Poland, to put an end to the social apathy of Donald Tusk's government – said Karol Nawrocki in Garwolin.

– We do not want a Poland of social apathy, but we want a Poland of freedom and solidarity – he continued.

– When I become the supreme commander of Poland's armed forces, I will build a secure future for us and for our children. This secure future demands great effort from us, and especially from the supreme commander of the armed forces – said Karol Nawrocki in Garwolin.

– Poland must be a just, solidarity-based state, where we give a chance to those who are strong and enterprising to develop their potential. But we can only assess our level of civilization by how we treat those who need state assistance. – That is a rather obvious line of defense; meaning, in such situations, PiS always says it's the services, because what else can they say. What Nawrocki said is indefensible – he continued.

Szymon Hołownia was asked on Polsat News about Lech Wałęsa's words concerning him, which were spoken on Radio Zet: "His conduct is not appropriate. However, one must be careful; he got elected with the help of this group forming the coalition, and within this group, one should behave in a way that avoids significant differences, yet he is creating a difference in this circle, in which they achieved parliamentary victory."

– I have great respect for President Wałęsa […] he is one of the founding fathers of our independence, our freedom, and I will not allow anyone to tarnish his name. However, for some time now, I have disagreed with the President's opinions. The President acts as if he has joined Civic Platform and is reciting ready-made texts, which are not only spoken by him today but also by authorities and sociologists – stated the Marshal of the Sejm and the Third Way's presidential candidate.

– Exactly what we experienced in '23 before the elections will soon begin. How many indignant letters I received from prominent intellectuals about my stance, asking how I dared to have a different opinion and not obediently join a single list – he continued.

– Over the next two weeks, great authorities will explain to us that the elections have already been decided. That Poles have chosen, and therefore, please do not disrupt the Platform [Civic Platform] or PiS [Law and Justice] with your chatter or your campaigns. And I will disrupt them, because I believe that today, Poland needs a president who is neither from PiS nor from the Platform. Someone who will fundamentally change the mentality of politics – said Szymon Hołownia in Polsat News.

"If it turns out that the candidates from PO and PiS will indeed face each other in the second round, then despite everything that is happening, I believe that the PiS candidate is not without a chance. It's always been like this in Poland: Platforma does great in the first round, and in the second, the PiS candidate wins," said Szymon Hołownia on Polsat News.

"Perhaps also because there isn't a Poland capable of delivering that 51% to a Platform candidate. Please look at Rafał Trzaskowski. For half a year of campaigning, he hasn't delivered even a single percentage point more support for his candidacy than Civic Platform has in the polls. So how is he supposed to gather 51% to defeat Nawrocki in the second round?" he continued.

"I think so. I think he is ultimately too left-wing and too liberal a politician, and Poland, regardless of how it sometimes votes in parliamentary elections, is centrist. […] Only a centrist candidate has the possibility of gaining the majority needed in the second round of the presidential election," he added, when asked if Trzaskowski is too liberal and left-wing for a conservative Poland.

– An asset declaration can be disclosed at any moment by any person holding public office, including the President of the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN). Nothing stands in the way – said Adam Bodnar in an interview with Monika Olejnik on TVN24's "Kropka nad i" (The Dot Over the 'i').

– The fact is that the procedure concerning individuals such as the Ombudsman or the President of the IPN assumes that these declarations are sent to the First President of the Supreme Court, and it is the President of the Supreme Court who exercises oversight over them and verifies these declarations for their compliance – he indicated.

– However, there is truly nothing preventing a person – especially one who is running for president in this situation – from saying: okay, dear fellow citizens – here is my asset declaration. There is no need to hide behind other procedures – he emphasized.

– This is what happened to Donald Tusk, for example, we all remember it, in 2005, where he spectacularly won the first round against Lech Kaczyński and spectacularly lost the second round to Lech Kaczyński […] I'm afraid we are heading exactly in the same direction – Szymon Hołownia said on Polsat News.

– If someone does not want PiS to return to power in the form of Karol Nawrocki […] they should vote for me in the first round, because I will have much greater chances against Karol Nawrocki in the second round than Rafał Trzaskowski, who is a nice guy, a great politician, an excellent specialist in local government and European affairs, but the Republic of Poland needs a different president today – he continued.

– The fact that he [Karol Nawrocki] met [with Donald Trump] means nothing. Of course, it’s nice to have a photo, but from what we hear in various reports, the meeting was just a case of him entering, shaking hands, and leaving – said Szymon Hołownia on Polsat News.

– The question is, what did he achieve for Poland. That is the crucial question today. Did he achieve anything? Did he present any matter, even a single sentence, that is important for Poland, beyond his own victory, to President Trump – he continued.

– This is some colossal nonsense [that the special services are gathering 'dirt' on Karol Nawrocki]. I am in constant, daily contact with the minister-coordinator, the deputy minister-coordinator for services, and the people who form the services – what they care about is truly building responsible services, operating within the framework of the rule of law. Knowing these people, their views, their attitudes, the last thing they would do is step into such shoes – said Adam Bodnar on TVN24's "Kropka nad i".

– If someone is looking for the involvement of special services, then truly let's not measure by our own yardstick. I will remind you that Krzysztof Brejza was surveilled by Pegasus during the election campaign. The fact that someone used such methods does not mean that the current government uses such methods. These lies must be debunked – he continued.

– Today a journalist asked me, I didn't know where to look, that apparently someone in the coalition came up with the idea that we should hold special Sejm sessions in August to pass en masse all those laws that Duda vetoed – said Szymon Hołownia in Polsat News.

– I laughed, as long as I am the Marshal of the Sejm […] there will be no additional Sejm sessions for us to conduct legislation in the same way that PiS did it. Meaning, slapped together with saliva and string, cardboard and zip ties, so that a bill would enter the Sejm on Tuesday and be signed by the president by Thursday – he continued.

– We didn't spend a year and a half changing the standards of law-making in Poland just to do again what they did, but now that we'll be doing it, because we are the good ones, we can. Absolutely not – he went on to say.

– Of course, I would gladly meet with him [the president] and try to convince him, if only he finds the time, because I believe he should sign this act [regarding the health contribution]. He should sign this act and not consider that he is a former political colleague of Morawiecki, who introduced this “Polish Deal,” because these regulations have truly killed several hundred thousand of the smallest Polish businesses – said Szymon Hołownia on Polsat News.
