Kolarski on the President Convening the National Security Council:
Please Don't Connect This to the Elections.
– The [National Security Council] meeting will take place in May. The date will be set, it will be announced. […] What happened in Spain, we don't know yet, […] it requires a serious discussion and information, but also information that will come to us precisely from Spain – said Wojciech Kolarski in RMF24.
– When we have complete information, which the president will be able to present during the NSC and discuss this matter, so that Poland is a country not threatened by a potential hybrid attack that leads to a drama like a blackout – he continued.
When asked if the NSC would take place before the first round of presidential elections, he replied: – I cannot say at this moment, but please do not connect this with the elections. It has no connection with the elections. It is connected with security, which is paramount for the president.

Kolarski:
The President is Consistent, He Has Repeatedly Declared His Sympathy for Nawrocki
– The President has been consistent from the first day of this presidency. He is also consistent on the issue of the presidential election. He has repeatedly declared his sympathy for Karol Nawrocki – said Wojciech Kolarski on RMF24.

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on 4 Years of Responsibility for Poland:
I Can’t Imagine Any Trivial Emotions Getting in the Way.
– I think that the responsibility of every person who comes into a position such as a minister and governs the country on behalf of the people is the ability to separate campaign matters from governance, from the ministerial function – stated Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz in the program “Rozmowa Piaseckiego” on TVN24.
– We have taken responsibility for 4 years. We said that we would change Poland to the best of our ability. I simply cannot imagine any trivial emotions getting in the way of that – she continued.
08:05
Kolarski:
Tusk's Government Did a Lot to Encourage the President's Participation in Nawrocki's Convention
– The President publicly announced that he would vote for Karol Nawrocki at a rally in Łódź. Yes, I knew that, along with Minister Paprocka and the Head of the Chancellery – said Wojciech Kolarski in an interview with RMF24.
– I am truly pleased that during discussions about the President's participation in the convention with the campaign manager, MP Szefernaker, everything was arranged so that only a few people knew about it until the very end, and this element of surprise was achieved – he continued.
– Donald Tusk and his government, his political grouping in recent months, in the last year, have done a lot to encourage the President to participate in the PiS convention in Łódź, where he supported Karol Nawrocki – he emphasized.
– What is happening today is such an open fight against President Duda, but also against the office of the presidency itself – he assessed.
08:13
Kolarski:
We Need a President Who Will Continue Andrzej Duda's Successes
– We need a president in the Presidential Palace who will continue the successes of Andrzej Duda's presidency – said Wojciech Kolarski on RMF24.
08:18
Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on the 4-day work week:
A bit of a communist way of doing the economy.
– In these conditions, telling people that we will impose a regulation from above, that full-time employment will be 4 days of work, without changing work efficiency, meaning without addressing the core of the problem, but rather such an imposed, excuse me, it's a bit of a communist way of doing the economy – stated Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz in the “Piasecki Conversation” on TVN24.
– What will be the effect? There will be lower salaries, I guarantee, lower pensions, I guarantee. You can't tell people that without changing work efficiency, they will receive a 5-day salary for 4 days of work, because that is not fair – she continued.
08:19
Kolarski:
When the Right Rules, Poles Engage and Vote. When Liberals Come, There's Apathy
– The last 10 years have been a great success for Polish democracy. Just look at the voter turnout. Why did this happen? Precisely because Poles felt engaged in public affairs. […] The highest presidential election turnout occurred in 2020, but please also look at earlier elections – Wojciech Kolarski said on RMF24.
– When the right rules, Poles engage in public affairs. When liberals come, we have apathy – he stated.
08:31
Kolarski on Trump’s Visit to Poland:
Highly Probable, Huge Interest is Visible.
– President Trump was invited by the President to the Three Seas Initiative, or President Duda proposed a meeting or visit to Warsaw before the NATO summit. We have many positive signals and information that this matter is being treated with extreme seriousness, as Poland is treated with extreme seriousness – said Wojciech Kolarski in RMF24.
When asked if the US President would come to Poland en route to the NATO summit, he replied: – It is highly probable. I don’t want to announce it, because then the editor will say that a minister was here and said something… I would like to announce this information at the appropriate time. I will announce it as soon as I have the President’s consent.
– We are in contact with President Trump’s associates, we are discussing this matter. We have very good contacts and clear signals that there is enormous interest from President Trump – he added.
08:51
Braun:
We Need to Normalize Relations with Belarus and Russia, and Do Business
– We need to normalize relations with Belarus and Russia, because we shouldn't have all the shops on our own street offended. I am not inviting you to any friendship festivals, I am inviting you to normalize, to clear the rubble from these relations diplomatically, not militarily, and there is plenty to clear, in order to do good business. What kind of good business? For example, an energy bridge from the Belarusian nuclear power plant, which they have, and we don't – said Grzegorz Braun in "Poranek Wnet".
08:57
Braun:
The EU Must Be Removed from Poland. There is Life Beyond the Euro-Collective
– The European Union must be removed from Poland, that's for sure. Because the European Union was like the Titanic, which looked quite good while it was docked in port. The offer, especially culinary, recreational, and corrupt, for passengers, particularly on the upper decks, was incredibly rich. However, today the Titanic has long since left port and is heading for its destination, the bottom – said Grzegorz Braun on Radio Wnet.
– All demographic, economic indicators show a descent to base. […] There is life beyond the euro-collective; there is EFTA, the European Free Trade Association; Norway is there, Switzerland is there – he continued.
09:02
Mucha:
The Undersestimation of the Undemocratic Side is Evident; We Should Consider the Scenario of Nawrocki Winning
– I am keeping my fingers crossed very much for all democratic candidates, by the way, for Szymon Hołownia, for Rafał Trzaskowski if he makes it to the second round, I am keeping my fingers crossed. Only let's remember, I implore everyone to remember, that in these various pollster surveys, we notice a certain kind of undersestimation of the undemocratic side; this undersestimation is evident. If we forget this, and I have the impression that we are forgetting, we are making a cardinal mistake – said Joanna Mucha on Radio Zet.
– I fear that we should also consider such a scenario [that Nawrocki will win] – she added.
09:02
Mucha on Banning Smartphones in Schools:
We Should Seriously Discuss This.
– Today in Rzeczpospolita, I started looking through it, there's a poll regarding the use of mobile phones in schools. Our postulate, Szymon Hołownia's, to ban mobile phones in schools, a poll in which the vast majority of Poles say that [smartphones] should be banned in schools. I believe this is truly a direction we should start discussing very seriously – stated Joanna Mucha on Radio Zet.
09:03
– This question touches upon something that those who want to vote for Rafał Trzaskowski repeatedly say: that Szymon Hołownia should withdraw, that Magdalena Biejat should withdraw, that Zandberg should withdraw, that Ms. Senyszyn should withdraw, that everyone should withdraw and leave Rafał. Let's consider this thesis for a second. It would mean that in the recent debates, Rafał Trzaskowski would have been [alone] against a crowd of people like Nawrocki, like Mentzen, like Braun, like Maciak, and various others – stated Joanna Mucha on Radio Zet.
09:03
Mucha on Nawrocki:
A Wolf with Big Teeth Sits Under the Sheep's Skin.
– Our effort, our common effort, must be to peel away this gilding, this clean sheep's skin, and show that there is truly a wolf with big teeth sitting under that sheep's skin – stated Joanna Mucha on Radio Zet.
09:04
Mucha on the civil unions bill and Confederation:
There's a group of libertarians there who could support it.
– If the PSL doesn't fully support it [the civil unions bill], then of course we wouldn't be able to pass it, but I hope that there will be different opinions within the PSL too, and that we will achieve a majority for this project. This project has been softened compared to the first version, so I hope that some group of MPs from the PSL, and perhaps also from other groupings, currently in opposition, will decide to support it – said Joanna Mucha on Radio Zet.
– I don't know if, for example, there wouldn't be a few people in Confederation who could support this project as a libertarian one. I believe there is a group of libertarians there who could support this project – she added.

Morawiecki on Trzaskowski and Tusk's Words:
He Spoke of a Poland for Everyone, While His Boss Insulted Half of Poles.
“When Rafał Trzaskowski spoke in Poznań about a Poland for everyone, at the same time his boss was insulting half of the Poles,” says Mateusz Morawiecki in a video published on social media.
The former prime minister juxtaposed in the recording a fragment of Rafał Trzaskowski's statement – who said that “all of Poland will win only if we are united, if we reject divisions” – with Donald Tusk's Sunday post:
“Pisowcy are asking why the History of Kashubians, not Poles. I wonder if their thick skulls will ever understand that the history of Kashubians, Silesians, and Wielkopolans is a significant part of Poland's history, this great and open Poland, the Poland of Chrobry and Krzywousty, Piłsudski and Wałęsa, without complexes and fear.”
“Don't believe a single word they say. After the elections, they will do exactly what Tusk wants them to do. They lied, they are lying, and they will continue to lie,” Morawiecki stated.
When Rafał Trzaskowski was lying at a rally in Poznań, Tusk wrote on X what they both truly think about Poles. Don't let them deceive you! They lied, they are lying, and they will continue to lie! Therefore, on May 18th, the choice is obvious – only @Nawrocki25 !?? pic.twitter.com/xenjsH20YI

Nawrocki on Trzaskowski:
Almost Every Hour, He Can Make Extreme Declarations.
– I don't entirely feel bound by any declaration made by my main opponent, Rafał Trzaskowski, because every day, almost every hour, he can make extreme declarations. On one hand, concerning CPK [Centralny Port Komunikacyjny – Central Communication Port], memory policy, ideology, and also climate policy, I am dealing with an opponent who has 50 faces, and we don't know which of those faces will be drawn on a given day. I don't know if he would confirm today that the planet is burning – stated Karol Nawrocki at a press briefing.
10:13
Nawrocki:
I Don't See the Planet Burning Today. We Cannot Destroy the Polish Social Economy
– I am a staunch opponent of the Green Deal. I do not see the planet burning today. Of course, we must also examine the phenomena occurring with regard to climate policy, we must approach it with caution, but we cannot, in the name of climate policy and Rafał Trzaskowski's phobia that the planet is burning, destroy the Polish social economy, Polish farms – stated Karol Nawrocki at a press briefing.
10:13
Karol Nawrocki has signed the "Forest-Nature and Sustainable Development Declaration". The candidate for president, supported by PiS, has committed in the document, among other things, to maintaining the national character of Poland's strategic natural resources, including forests; promoting the diverse values of Polish forests within society; ensuring the State Forests have the capacity to effectively fulfill their tasks; and engaging in the defense of Polish forests against all privatization attempts.
10:16
Domański on April Inflation:
Once Again Below Analysts' Expectations.
– Inflation in April fell to 4.2% from 4.9% in March and once again was at a lower level than analysts expected – wrote Andrzej Domański on social media.
Inflacja w kwietniu spadła do 4,2% z 4,9% w marcu i kolejny raz znalazła się na niższym poziomie od oczekiwań analityków.

10:25
Nawrocki:
If I Become President, the State Forests Will Not Become the Spoils of One Party
– I want to tell the foresters, knowing what is happening in the State Forests, seeing what attacks, both public and political, have been directed at you, at foresters in the past year, that I will be a guardian of your rights. I highly value the institution of the State Forests, and the State Forests, should I become president, will not become the spoils of one political party; instead, they will be the national good of all Poles – said Karol Nawrocki at a press conference.
11:41
Trzaskowski:
The Flag is a Symbol, Flags are Never Abandoned
– [Karol Nawrocki] wanted to use the white and red [flag] to divide, and we all have a right to the white and red. The white and red is a symbol of all of us, and everyone knows from history, anyone who is interested in the history, the tradition of the Polish Army, anyone who was in the scouting movement knows that the flag is a symbol, that flags are never abandoned – stated Rafał Trzaskowski in Nowe Miasto Lubawskie.
11:45
Trzaskowski on the White and Red Flag:
A Symbol of Community, Uniting, Not Dividing.
– I want to assure you that I will guard the white and red flag together with my people, at least until Flag Day, as May 2nd is Flag Day. It will also accompany me in these meetings with you as a symbol. But most importantly, as a symbol of community, uniting, not dividing us – stated Rafał Trzaskowski in Nowe Miasto Lubawskie.
11:50
Trzaskowski:
Those Who Praise Putin, Those Who Are Antisemitic, Simply Shouldn't Be in Polish Politics
– We can all fit under the white and red flag, but those who praise Putin, those who are antisemitic, simply shouldn't be in Polish politics. But when everyone was arguing, when everyone was talking about political parties, I was talking about people, because just as your local government officials are here with me, I represent people, and whenever I manage a city, and also when I think about Poland, I think about what can be done for people – stated Rafał Trzaskowski in Nowe Miasto Lubawskie.
11:54
Trzaskowski:
We Need a President Who Will Be an Arbiter of Polish Disputes
– We need a president who will care for local homelands, who will be an arbiter of Polish disputes, who will not be solely on one side of the political dispute. My competitor himself said that he is Jarosław Kaczyński's decision, and I want to be your choice, the choice of free Polish women and free Polish men – stated Rafał Trzaskowski in Nowe Miasto Lubawskie.
12:03
Błaszczak Presents Data on Asylum Applications:
Trzaskowski stated the world is changing. This is one example.
– The lies concern the issue of visas that were issued by Polish authorities during the Law and Justice government, in comparison to the situation today. So, two days ago during a debate, Rafał Trzaskowski stated that the world is changing. This is one of the examples of how the world is changing under the rule of the December 13 coalition – said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.
– Please look, these are Eurostat data, which indicate that the number of applications from those seeking asylum, expecting asylum in Poland under the rule of the December 13 coalition, has increased by 87%. The number of asylum applications submitted has increased by 87% when we compare the year 2023 […] to the year 2024 […]. One could say that Rafał Trzaskowski does not notice this fact – he continued.
12:07
Błaszczak on PiS Initiatives in Former Voivodeship Cities:
Resolutions Opposing the Establishment of Foreigner Integration Centers.
– Councillors from Law and Justice in former voivodeship cities will come forward with proposals for resolutions opposing the establishment of foreigner integration centers, and we are counting on the majority in these city councils [...] to support the initiatives of Law and Justice councillors, despite the pressure exerted by voivodeship authorities in those voivodeships where the December 13 coalition governs. This pressure is related to the intimidation of local governments with the threat of being cut off from funding – said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.
12:17
– In Donald Tusk's previous government, there was Minister Ćwiąkalski. When one of the prisoners died, Minister Ćwiąkalski resigned. Therefore, it would be best if Minister Bodnar resigned, for the entirety of his tenure at the Ministry of Justice, for breaking the law, for actions that are an affront to dignity, because under his leadership, there were actions that were an affront to the dignity of arrested female officials from the Ministry of Justice – Mariusz Błaszczak said at a press conference, when asked about the dismissal of the Head of the Prison Service, which Adam Bodnar wants, whether this is a sufficient consequence after the murder of the doctor in Krakow.
12:25
Szefernaker:
Trzaskowski chickened out of a debate with his coalition partner. Such a person cannot be president
– First and foremost, it must be noted that this debate is a result of Rafał Trzaskowski chickening out of a debate with his coalition partner Szymon Hołownia. I remind you that Szymon Hołownia challenged Rafał Trzaskowski to a debate, who is known for not participating in debates he fears. Therefore, he got scared of a debate even with his own coalition partner – said Paweł Szefernaker at a press conference, responding to a question about the debate between Szymon Hołownia and Magdalena Biejat.
– This is truly a very serious matter, that a Civic Platform candidate fears debates during a campaign. If he fears debates during a campaign, what kind of president will he be? What kind of president will he be when making decisions, if he is afraid to make bold decisions, important for himself during the campaign, then how will he make decisions concerning Poland and Poles? A coward who is afraid to debate with the Marshal of the Sejm cannot be president – he continued.
13:21
Tusk at Huta Częstochowa:
Huge Funds for Armaments Will Also Reach Factories Like This One.
– These large sums of money that Poland is spending on armaments, also the large sums of money that the EU wants to spend on armaments, will finally start to flow here, to Poland, to factories like Huta Częstochowa. Because we deserve it as a country, you deserve it as an enterprise, because you can confidently say with an open visor that you are, and will soon certainly be, the best in your industry and the most competitive in Europe – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Częstochowa.
– No one will be losing to foreign competition anymore just because they are somehow favored. We will reverse this exactly 180 degrees. And Polish companies, like Huta Częstochowa, will be able to count on state support from top to bottom. And we will try to replicate this model wherever possible, throughout Poland – he continued.
13:25
Tusk:
Aid will be granted to anyone who can prove it will help us collectively get back on our feet
– Aid will be granted to anyone who can prove, and this is not about negotiations with the government, but proving on the market that this aid will help us collectively get back on our feet. As you know, the Cegielski factories encompass several industries. PGZ is involved there, ARP is involved, among other things, in the railway sector, with orders from Intercity worth, I believe, 6 billion, so wherever there is a prospect, we will act hand in hand, also with trade unionists – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Częstochowa.
13:28
Tusk on Rafako:
I Won’t Let This Matter Go.
– I won’t let this matter go. That means Rafako will be a plant that produces and will produce profitable things. We are, I won't hide it, working to establish more specialized arms production in Racibórz, perhaps where boilers were produced. We are working on several variants – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Częstochowa.
13:36
– We were all shocked by the tragic death of a doctor in Krakow. This is not the first case of aggression against healthcare workers. Tomorrow, on Labour Day, we will all think about working people, and I will particularly warmly think about all healthcare workers in connection with the recurring, idiotic, unacceptable acts of aggression. This was exceptional, it was something macabre, but we know it's an everyday occurrence – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Częstochowa.
– As you know, we are working on a whole set of measures to make the work of doctors, nurses, and paramedics safer, following the attack on an ambulance crew. Of course, we won't rule out attacks by madmen, as was the case. I apologize for this phrasing, but let's call a spade a spade; we cannot prevent every tragic event simply because the idea of murder arises in someone's head. However, one thing must unequivocally end. For many years, there has been a campaign of sorts, inciting people against healthcare workers, and something has happened that created this front of negative emotions between some patients and healthcare – he continued.
– It would be good to think together whether this is indeed the path we should follow. We need to be understanding towards each other, we need to treat each other with some basic empathy, then perhaps such acts of madness will not happen – the Prime Minister emphasized.
13:37
Tusk on the Head of the Prison Service:
I've Already Made the Decision.
– Yes, I have already made that decision today. The Head of the Prison Service has been dismissed – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Częstochowa.
13:41
Tusk asked about involvement in Trzaskowski’s campaign:
He is an independent candidate, also from me.
– I am wholeheartedly involved in President Trzaskowski’s campaign, and not only because I have immense respect for him, and not only because he was recommended by thousands of people, as you know, unlike Mr. Nawrocki, it wasn’t the idea of this or that chairman, but a primary election and thousands of people decided on it – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Częstochowa.
– I understand that Rafał Trzaskowski is our common candidate in the presidential elections. I am in constant contact with Rafał Trzaskowski; this is a presidential campaign, not a party one, and I want to make this very clear. President Trzaskowski is a candidate who is civic and independent not just by name, but by fact. Anyone who knows the history, including the history of my relationship with President Trzaskowski, knows that Rafał Trzaskowski is an independent candidate, also from me – he continued.
– Whenever I am needed, with advice or anything else, I am available, but Rafał Trzaskowski is conducting this campaign not alone, but by himself, because he has taken responsibility for it – added the head of government.
14:11
Hołownia:
The Most Important Thing is That We Feel Safe
– The most important thing today is that we feel safe. Here, on vacation, today on the May long weekend, but also that we feel safe in Poland. Because Poland is changing, and you know how everything around it is changing, and if I were to go today and ask voters this, that, or the other: what is the most important thing? Everyone would say that there should be peace, that there should be security; this security starts at home, with the simplest things – stated Szymon Hołownia in Łeba.
14:11
Hołownia:
We Must Rebuild Military Units to Defend Baltic Infrastructure
– Today, we must, and the President must be its patron, rebuild the navy, help the Minister of Defence in this, rebuild various types of military units so that we are capable of defending the infrastructure that we will be building in the Baltic Sea – said Szymon Hołownia in Łeba.
14:12
Hołownia:
The President Should Not Be an Extension of the Government or the Sejm
– What is important is that the president should be someone who safeguards our interests from a completely different perspective than simply ensuring that PO wins in 2027, or PiS wins in 2027, because that's not what it's about. That's why I decided to run in opposition to Donald Tusk's candidate, Jarosław Kaczyński's candidate, to tell you that the president should not be an extension of either the government or the Sejm, where there will always be partisan politics – stated Szymon Hołownia in Łeba.
15:10
Mentzen on Immigrants:
If Trzaskowski Wins, Times Will Change Again. Don't Be Deceived.
"Hołownia and Trzaskowski are explaining that for the duration of the campaign, they are hiding their true views by saying that times have changed. If Trzaskowski wins, do you know what will happen? Times will change again, and he will return to his left-wing, pro-immigration views. Don't be deceived by Civic Platform, Tusk, and Trzaskowski this time!" – Sławomir Mentzen wrote on X.

Nawrocki’s Spokesperson Responds to Onet Publication and Recalls the So-Called ‘Lex Kropiwnicki’:
All Information Was Contained in His Asset Declarations for Years.
– All information regarding the apartments owned by Dr. Karol Nawrocki has been included in his asset declarations for years. All information was also subject to review by the services granting access to classified information, and always resulted in the highest security clearances being awarded – wrote Emilia Wierzbicki in a statement published on social media.
“The Nawrocki family derives no income from owning property. The apartment is at the disposal of a person whom Dr. Karol Nawrocki has been the sole caregiver for many years, even when he was a social activist in the Gdańsk district of Siedlce.”
Karol Nawrocki is a staunch opponent of a cadastral tax for families and proposes enshrining a ban on the cadastral tax in the Constitution of the Republic of Poland. During a debate, he pointed to the situation of ordinary Poles who own one apartment, and this could have been perceived as a declaration that he also owns one apartment. We emphasize that information about owned properties has been included in Karol Nawrocki's asset declarations every year.
Karol Nawrocki would sign the ‘Lex Kropiwnicki’ act, which imposes an additional tax on individuals like Deputy Minister Robert Kropiwnicki who own a dozen or so apartments.”

Tusk on Extinguishing the Fire in Biebrza National Park:
Operation Concluded.
– The fire in Biebrza National Park has been extinguished. The operation is over! Great words of appreciation for the firefighters, soldiers, foresters, and forest rangers – Prime Minister Donald Tusk wrote on social media.
Pożar w Biebrzańskim Parku Narodowym ugaszony. Koniec akcji! Wielkie słowa uznania dla strażaków, żołnierzy, leśników i strażników leśnych.

– Inflation in April was significantly lower than predicted by experts! The fight against the high prices of the PiS era is bringing results. It's high time, Mr. Glapiński, to lower interest rates. People and businesses are waiting! – wrote Prime Minister Donald Tusk on social media.
Inflacja w kwietniu wyraźnie niższa od prognozowanej przez ekspertów! Walka z drożyzną czasów PiS przynosi efekty. Najwyższy czas, panie Glapiński, na obniżenie stóp. Ludzie i firmy czekają!

Trzaskowski Slams Nawrocki:
Punished by Providence, He Came with a Flag to Końskie to Divide.
– My competitor, who came with that flag to Końskie. He came to use the white and red, to divide us, to show that only he has the right to patriotism, and I think that's precisely why he forgot it. In a sense, he was punished by Providence, precisely because the white and red is our common symbol and should never be used to divide. The white and red is meant to unite – stated Rafał Trzaskowski in Olsztyn.
18:56
Trzaskowski on Braun's Behavior During the Debate:
We Must React to Vile Words.
– Absolutely everyone fits under the white and red [flag]. Under the white and red, and in politics, there is simply no place for antisemitism, no place for dividing people, no place for hate. I want this to be clearly understood that all those who are antisemites and use such slogans, all those who spew hatred, should reflect on their lives, and there is definitely no place for them in Polish politics – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Olsztyn.
– When I was standing at that debate and heard someone, I won't mention the name and I won't repeat his exact words, but if someone lacks humility, even in the face of such a dramatic historical event as the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, that someone in Poland, with our historical experiences, is unable to respect it, only to speak such vile words, then we must react, and we must have a President of the Republic who will react – he added.
18:56
Trzaskowski on the reaction to Braun's words:
It is sad that someone who is the President of the Institute of National Remembrance did not react to this.
– I am proud that every President of the Republic, whom we have had, from President Wałęsa to President Duda, reacted in such situations, in situations of antisemitism, they reacted; Lech Kaczyński always reacted, and I am convinced he would have reacted in this situation too. It is sad that today my most important political rivals did not react, and moreover, they justified it by saying they were in the second row, that they didn't hear. How can one not hear such words, especially if someone is the President of the Institute of National Remembrance – stated Rafał Trzaskowski in Olsztyn.
18:57
Trzaskowski's Important Appeal Regarding a Potential Presidency:
You'll Make My Life Easier.
– We've had enough of partisan presidents. We all expect a President of the Republic who will be the president of all Polish women and all Polish men, and this is what I can promise you: if you elect me, I will not stand at any party event. You will make my life easier because I will be mega-independent and will never stand at any party event if you elect me, because that is what independence means and that is what respect for the office of the President of the Republic entails – stated Rafał Trzaskowski in Olsztyn.

Szefernaker Compares Nawrocki's Situation at the Debate to Landing on the Moon:
They Left the US Flag, Is That Also Perceived Badly?
– Karol Nawrocki spoke about how, as a historian, he knows what battles looked like and he left that flag in the place of a victorious battle – said Paweł Szefernaker in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of Events) on Polsat News.
– Those who flew to the Moon, did they leave the flag of the United States, do you think that is also perceived badly there? – he continued.

Szefernaker:
After a Weak Performance in Końskie, Expectations for Trzaskowski Have Been Lowered
– Certainly, after Rafał Trzaskowski's weak performance in Końskie, public expectations towards him have been somewhat lowered, and when expectations are lowered, someone performing at a better level then appears to be doing better – Paweł Szefernaker said on Polsat News.
– If expectations for Karol Nawrocki grow with each day of the campaign, then there will also be those who will criticize – he continued.

Szefernaker:
Nawrocki Doesn't Own Rental Properties to Live Off, Unlike Some PO Politicians
– Together with his wife, Mr. Karol Nawrocki, jointly, as two individuals, own two apartments. I said, he lives in and uses one apartment, the second apartment is an apartment that is used daily by a person Karol Nawrocki has been helping for many years – said Paweł Szefernaker on Polsat News.
– Karol Nawrocki does not have apartments, unlike some politicians from Civic Platform, from which he rents out and lives off of. He has an apartment where he lives and an apartment where the person he has been helping for years resides – he continued.

Szefernaker:
Queues at polling stations should not grow after 9 PM
– The events in 2023, which occurred in many places across Poland, where voting lasted until late at night and results were awaited for a long time, indicate that guidelines should be such that these situations do not happen again – said Paweł Szefernaker on Polsat News.
– Certainly, after 9 PM, these queues should not be swelling and growing in front of polling stations. […] One can, for example, close the gate that is there, one can organize all of this somehow. Certainly, these queues, to put it colloquially, should not be swelling, growing during election night – he continued.
20:09
– I am criticizing [the pilot program] because it is a political fiction. You cannot deliver a 4-day work week at the same salary today, because Polish companies will simply not agree to it. How do you imagine 20% less work in healthcare, education? Are you truly not afraid, before making such a proposal, that employees will immediately be pushed into part-time jobs, and consequently, their salaries will be reduced? – stated Szymon Hołownia during a debate with Magdalena Biejat.
20:14
Hołownia at Debate with Biejat:
Friends Must Talk, Let’s Not Hide Differences Under Pink Blankets.
– Friends must talk, we must sometimes support each other, always respect each other. Let’s not hide differences under pink blankets, but instead show what a real debate can look like – stated Szymon Hołownia during a debate with Magdalena Biejat.
20:15
– Let's talk about why civil partnerships are not yet in place, why for 2 years Minister Kotula has been unable to get this through the Council of Ministers. First, let's start by doing what needs to be done. Civil partnerships now, as soon as possible. I know that the Polish People's Party (PSL) has a different opinion on this matter, but the ministers of your government are precisely there to seek a majority for good solutions – stated Szymon Hołownia during a debate with Magdalena Biejat.
20:15
Biejat:
I Want to Be President, But I'm Also Fighting for a Strong Position for The Left in This Government
– First and foremost, of course, I want to be the President of the Republic of Poland. My voters want it, because people who come to my meetings talk precisely about waiting for such a female president, a president who will finally stand on their side, who will not play politics like the older generation of politicians has until now, but will always fight for them, will always stand by her values – said Magdalena Biejat during a debate with Szymon Hołownia.
– But yes, the truth is also that I am fighting for a strong position for The Left in Poland, within this government. Because these elections, especially the first round, are also about the shape this government, this policy, will take after the elections. Whether the demands that I stand for […], will be accelerated, will be implemented, whether the issues that matter to you will finally be resolved. Whether you will once again send a signal to various politicians – including to the PSL – that we can continue with the current policy – she indicated.
20:23
Hołownia on Rainbow Families:
The State Should Resolve This Matter.
– The state should undoubtedly resolve this matter [of rainbow families], for the good of the children, undoubtedly resolve it. One cannot harm a child who has bonded with someone by separating them from the person who is closest to them – said Szymon Hołownia during a debate with Magdalena Biejat.
20:31
Biejat:
PO is Ashamed to Bring Up Abortion Before Elections for Some Reason
– This is a question for PO, which for some reason is ashamed to bring up the topic of abortion before the elections, and I have a piece of advice for all my fellow politicians – if you don't want abortion to become an election topic, then let's finally settle this matter – stated Magdalena Biejat during a debate with Szymon Hołownia.
20:33
Hołownia on Abortion:
The Issue That Returns in Campaigns, and Women Continue to Suffer.
– This is an issue that always returns during election campaigns, I’m talking about the availability of abortion, and it is very rarely, despite returning in election campaigns, actually resolved by politicians. It returns in campaigns, and women continue to suffer, and tragedies continue to happen. That's why I don't understand why, since probably July 9th last year, the extraordinary commission on abortion has not convened – stated Szymon Hołownia during a debate with Magdalena Biejat.
20:40
– Szymon, I find it laughable when you say it's time for us to get to work and get things done. Because I agree, only I keep hearing that a referendum needs to be held. [...] I have never advocated for a referendum, because I know that in today's times – and times have changed over almost 10 years – a referendum mainly serves to avoid having to make a decision. And the voters chose us so that we would be able to make that decision – said Magdalena Biejat during a debate with Szymon Hołownia.
20:49
Hołownia to Biejat on the Abortion Referendum:
Unlike You, I Want to Respect the Will of the Nation.
– My views have not changed, and I have not changed my mind. However, I am someone who, unlike you, wants to respect the will of the nation. I do not hide behind MPs, I do not hide behind coalition or party games, but I say – also after Lewica, PO, and others were unable to solve this problem realistically – let the nation speak now. Let the nation decide. Why are you afraid of the voice of Poles? Why should the Sejm, where there are 30% women, decide, and not society, where there are 50% women? – said Szymon Hołownia during a debate with Magdalena Biejat.
20:54
Biejat:
I am in favour of lowering the retirement age for men
– I am in favour of lowering the retirement age for men, because I believe that no one should be forced to work beyond their strength. Our task is to create such conditions that those who want to and are still able to work are not pushed out of the labour market, because today this is a huge problem for many people of retirement age – said Magdalena Biejat during a debate with Szymon Hołownia.
21:06
Hołownia:
We've Shown That Politics Different from the 'Old Guard' is Possible
– I am primarily glad that we met here today and showed that politics different from the 'old guard' is possible, politics not based on us jumping into each other's faces for nothing. So that once again, some would sit in state-owned companies and others would hold positions – stated Szymon Hołownia during a debate with Magdalena Biejat.
– Politics based on care is possible, not on violence, not on aggression, not on conflict, because it sometimes has to be, but primarily on care for the other person – he added.
