Tusk on Deregulation

At 10:00 AM, Prime Minister Donald Tusk will meet with representatives of the social partners at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (KPRM) to discuss deregulation. A statement from the head of government is planned.

President Duda with the President of Israel at Auschwitz-Birkenau

President Andrzej Duda and Israeli President Isaac Herzog will participate in the March of the Living at the former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz-Birkenau. At 10:00 AM, both leaders will lay wreaths before the Wall of Death, and at 10:10 AM, they will visit the Jewish Pavilion in Block 27.

A private meeting between the two presidents is scheduled for 10:30 AM, followed by statements to the media at 10:50 AM.

At 11:05 AM, the presidents will meet with Polish and Israeli youth. Later, at 12:00 PM, they will greet Holocaust survivors. The March of the Living, with their participation, will begin at 1:00 PM.

At 3:30 PM, the President of Israel will participate in a ceremony at the Monument to the Victims of the Camp in Brzezinka. President Duda will be represented by Wojciech Kolarski, who will read out a speech.

At that time, President Andrzej Duda will likely already be on his way to Kołobrzeg, where he will participate in the XXXII National Congress of Delegates of NSZZ "Solidarność" at 5:30 PM. A speech by the head of state is planned.

Sejm Discusses Housing Price Transparency and Flood Act Amendment

The Sejm will resume its session at 9:00 AM, proceeding to the second reading of the bill proposed by Polski 2050, which aims to introduce transparency in housing prices.

At 10:30 AM, the second reading will begin of draft resolutions presented by the Presidium of the Sejm concerning amendments to the Sejm's rules of procedure. These relate to introducing procedures for the Sejm to grant consent for: extending the duration of military operations on Polish territory during peacetime and extending temporary restrictions on the right to apply for asylum. The procedure is intended to be analogous to the process for considering the President's request for consent to extend a state of emergency.

In turn, at 11:30 AM, MPs will proceed to the first reading of the government's bill amending the so-called flood act. As stated by the proponents, it concerns granting additional support to residents and entrepreneurs affected by the floods of September 2024; the state's purchase of destroyed properties, exchanges of apartments or houses for municipal units, repair bonuses; streamlining procedures for rebuilding houses and support for entrepreneurs, as well as simplifying flood protection investments.

From 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM, a voting block will take place, during which MPs will decide on rejecting in the first reading the Confederation's bill concerning the exemption of entrepreneurs from income tax on amounts from property insurance obtained in connection with the removal of the effects of natural disasters. Additionally, amendments from the Senate to the laws on State Medical Rescue and on foreigners will be considered.

At 1:30 PM, a series of topical questions will commence. At 3:45 PM, the Sejm will hear – at the request of PSL – an update on the functioning of Social Housing Initiatives.

Thursday also marks the second day of the Senate's session. The upper house will resume its deliberations at 10:00 AM.

Ziobro's Interrogation

At 12:00 PM, the Sejm Extraordinary Committee for Pegasus will begin its proceedings, during which Zbigniew Ziobro is scheduled to be interrogated. A closed session will commence at 3:00 PM.

Siemoniak at the Border with the Commissioner

At 8:00 PM, a press conference will be held at the Połowce-Pieszczatka road border crossing in the Podlaskie Voivodeship by the Minister of Interior and Administration, Tomasz Siemoniak, and the EU Commissioner for Home Affairs and Migration, Magnus Brunner. The conference will focus on securing the Polish-Belarusian border.

Trzaskowski, Nawrocki, and Mentzen on the Campaign Trail

Rafał Trzaskowski is visiting the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. The Civic Coalition candidate has two rallies scheduled: at 11:30 AM in Zgorzelec and at 5:00 PM in Wałbrzych.

Meanwhile, the PiS-supported candidate, Karol Nawrocki, is campaigning in Pomerania. A visit to the Teutonic Castle in Bytów is planned for 12:00 PM. At 2:00 PM, he will visit OSiR Człuchów. A meeting will begin at 4:00 PM in Chojnice, and at 6:00 PM in Szczecinek.

Sławomir Mentzen is also continuing his tour. The Confederation candidate has events scheduled for 3:00 PM (Lipsko), 5:00 PM (Opatów), and 7:00 PM (Kielce).

– Primarily from Ukraine's perspective, this sounds bad. And I would want their voice to always be paramount on this matter – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego," when asked about the US proposal for Ukraine, suggesting that the new border alignment should roughly follow the current frontline.

– We perhaps have a greater sensitivity than other countries, even in Europe, regarding 'nothing about us without us,' and this is President Zelenskyy's stance, which we have heard many times and we accept. Moreover, Kaja Kallas, on behalf of European diplomacy, also spoke of a Ukrainian Crimea and no other – he continued.

– Here, Europe's position is different. It is to listen to Ukraine, seek a solution, and accept the conditions that Ukraine has agreed to – he further elaborated.

– I don't think the United States will withdraw [from providing aid to Ukraine]. This week of frozen aid, including access to some intelligence information, was poorly received, and there were losses because of it. It's good that there was a swift return [to providing aid]. Europe certainly must do more and is doing more – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TVN24.

– What would be the worst-case scenario for Poland? That Ukraine drifts away from Europe, turns towards the East. I would not want any pro-Russian politician to win in the upcoming elections or the next ones in Ukraine, because what that would mean is that we have the strongest army in Europe under the command of those who look not towards Europe, but towards Moscow – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TVN24.

– This is the worst-case scenario and it must not be allowed to happen. […] I believe that all actions we take should be against such a scenario, because it is a mortal threat – he continued.

– Firstly, such a summit was not planned for the time of Poland’s presidency. The question is whether there is room for a United States – European Union summit today, or if it’s better to continue these bilateral relations, which Poland currently has good ones with – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TVN24, when asked about the absence of an EU-US summit in Warsaw despite Poland’s EU presidency.

– There is a new administration that is still defining its strategy towards the entire European Union. As we can see, some meetings, after President [Zelenskyy’s] meeting [with Donald Trump], are better left unheld than to end in bad decisions – he continued.

– I believe that today Poland holds such a strong position in the United States […] that we have our bargaining chips and our arguments for discussions. Let’s focus more on bilateral relations, also on behalf of the Union, because this can benefit the Union, rather than a meeting with those European countries with whom the current American administration maintains a much greater distance – he added.

– Surely, among all European Union member states, Poland has the best relations with the United States today – he concluded.

– This is intended to be above-standard cooperation and guarantees for security, building defence capabilities, but also cooperation in various areas; this is our shared intention. Naturally, negotiations are underway – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TVN24, when asked what the new treaty with France is to entail.

– France has different treaties with its neighbours, with Spain, Germany, than with countries located further away. And we want our treaty to be at least on the same level as those with its closest neighbours – he continued.

– We do not want a treaty like the one that was in effect before ’39. […] We have the experience of unfulfilled guarantees and we are learning from it […]. President Macron and Prime Minister Tusk spoke about this (“nuclear umbrella”); if an offer has been made, publicly presented, and it's said that France is to play a greater role in the protection of Europe, we are interested in that – he went on to say.

– The invitation to Rafał Trzaskowski has the goal of mobilizing the entire coalition's electorate; it is not mobilized. The PiS electorate is much more mobilized today, while the coalition's electorate is much less so – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TVN24, when asked why Hołownia is proposing a debate with Trzaskowski.

– This is a good law [lowering the health contribution], which, contrary to appearances, guarantees greater revenue for the National Health Fund, because more businesses won't go bankrupt, unable to pay any contribution, and there will also be a subsidy from the budget – Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said on TVN24.

– I will be meeting with the President soon, as we will be together at the funeral of Pope Francis, so it is not out of the question […] I will be in Rome, yes […] as a representative of the government – he continued, when asked if he would go to the President to ask for the health contribution act to be signed.

– The President assesses this speech from the perspective of his 10 years in office. He also assesses it due to the discrepancy between words and deeds. The most outrageous and sad part of this expose was the end, where the Minister of Foreign Affairs de facto used Polish foreign policy for an election campaign – this should never have happened – stated Marcin Mastalerek on TV Republika.

– This shows that Sikorski does not understand what Polish national interest, international politics, and cooperation mean. The President spoke about the fact that cooperation is enshrined in the Constitution (…) We remember how President Lech Kaczyński was unlawfully tried to be sidelined from European politics (…) Minister Sikorski then behaved scandalously towards President Lech Kaczyński, and today he comes out and says things completely opposite to what his political camp did, and in the end uses his political party's election slogan – the Presidential Minister continued.

– There was too little about America in the expose, too little about Polish security. The word 'Three Seas' wasn't even mentioned at all, and in 5 days we have a major Three Seas summit with several leaders – he added.

– This is a test primarily for Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz, whether Prime Minister Tusk will order him not to cooperate with the Americans. The Deputy Prime Minister had a meeting with Secretary of State Pete Hegseth. He presents himself as a pro-American politician – we will see how credible Kosiniak-Kamysz is – stated Marcin Mastalerek on TV Republika.

– It is obvious that we should be buying the most modern equipment from the USA, we should have more soldiers, we should be seeking further types of weapons. President Duda did this very effectively. For now, these are just words, [regarding the statements of Paweł Kowal and other politicians from the ruling camp about potentially ceasing arms purchases from the USA] these are irresponsible words. I hope they will never translate into actions – the presidential minister continued.

– One could use a football term to say that Trzaskowski's campaign team got tangled up. It's evident they didn't succeed, that they are in crisis, but the elections are still far away… everything can change (…) The actual campaign period has begun. Things will accelerate after the May long weekend – stated Marcin Mastalerek on TV Republika.

– Today, every responsible person who wants to prevent the "system from closing" must refrain from their comments and advice, because at this most important stage, it will be detrimental. The time for evaluation, the time for conclusions will be after the campaign – the presidential minister continued.

– Today, one can only say forza Nawrocki, forza Jarosław Kaczyński – from Italian, and I will continue to speak like that – he added.

– I will say something that will be very true in politics and is rarely spoken. If someone truly wanted it, this contribution, to come into effect this year, one amendment could have been submitted in the Senate yesterday. This amendment would have sent the bill back to the Sejm. In the Sejm, one could have waited for an agreed-upon representative of the democratic side to the President in September… – stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News's "Graffiti".

– I put forward this thesis: generally speaking, many entities were dissatisfied with this, but it suits some entities very well that the President will veto it, and the Left will ensure that this veto, so to speak, is effective. The amendment could have been submitted, but what will happen now? What will happen is that the President, I don't know if he will veto it, but if he does, the veto will be upheld. Then, from September, the entire legislative path will have to be started again, meaning the project will enter [parliament] in November, for example, and will be included in next year's budget, and so among dear friends, the dogs ate the hare – he continued.

– This is a problem [the government’s poor ratings], not whether they will happen or not. This is a problem of poor ratings for the coalition. We are fully aware of this. [They stem] from the functioning of this coalition. Probably a few elements are not working as they should. We definitely need to conduct an evaluation after these presidential elections and look, and rethink our entire plan of functioning for the next 2 years, because we are halfway through our term. Reconstruction announced by everyone, but in reality, by no serious person. Prime Minister Tusk is a very serious politician, but generally, he threw out a slogan, and then this slogan was plastered over by people who have no idea about this topic, how it will be – stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty in Polsat News’s “Graffiti”.

– Reconstruction must happen, because we are ending our presidency shortly. We hope there will be a president from the democratic side, and this office will need to be staffed with people. There are various things that certainly must happen – he continued.

"Sikorski stated yesterday that Russia will never again rule either in Warsaw, Kyiv, Vilnius, or Riga. His speech provoked a furious reaction from the Kremlin spokesperson and PiS. To a similar degree" – Prime Minister Donald Tusk wrote on X.

– If the government's candidate, Donald Tusk's deputy in PO, does not win the election, the 'completion of the system' that PO politicians dream of, and which Grzegorz Schetyna has openly spoken about, will not happen, and we will simply have significantly more freedom in our country. It's a question for Donald Tusk [whether the government will then fall]. We know that this government is made up of, perhaps, 11 parties, or the coalition consists of 10 or 11 parties. – It's clearly visible how this coalition is cracking. We recently saw a scandal in the Senate, a public exchange of words between the Deputy Speaker of the Senate and the Speaker of the Senate. All these corpses are currently being hidden in closets, just to get through to the presidential elections, but if Rafał Trzaskowski loses these elections, and I deeply believe that will happen, then they will obviously fall out of these closets – stated Adam Bielan on Radio Plus.

– We will have approximately 120 laws ready [in the first stage]. And these laws will reduce burdens, remove barriers, and eliminate unnecessary regulations. They will sometimes be extremely complex and labor-intensive laws, and sometimes they will be laws that simply invalidate completely unnecessary regulations or barriers, but this change is truly a breakthrough year and such a massive, in fact, systemic change, because we are changing the Polish system in many areas of life thanks to this work, such a massive systemic change hasn’t been seen since Poland joined the EU – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a meeting with social partners regarding deregulation.

– Following suggestions from the social partners, I am addressing Minister Paszyk to once again examine certain proposals from the opposition clubs. I know there is a group of MPs from PiS who have submitted proposals for amendments or changes to the bill that is already being processed, and I ask that you pay no attention to the party affiliation attached to any proposal – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a meeting with social partners regarding deregulation.

– For the 37th time, young people will march alongside survivors, accompanying them in this demonstration. First, for life, and second, for memory. But also for a dramatic call – never again. Never again hatred, never again chauvinism, never again antisemitism. And above all, that silence in the face of any manifestations of hatred between nations, against any manifestations of racial or ethnic hatred, is unacceptable, because if one remains silent, the ultimate consequence can be what happened, what was done by the Germans during World War II – stated President Andrzej Duda during a joint statement with the President of Israel.

– We are entering the second stage of this 'Poland in construction'. Just as we had it when we were building motorways and roads with the first European funds, remember what a great success that was, and at the same time, how many dramas accompanied it, how many people were cheated, especially small subcontractors by the larger ones, who credited or simply defrauded the most vulnerable – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a meeting with social partners on deregulation.

– We are entering this again, it is not just hope, we have the right to believe that we are entering a second great wave of investments, also based on the KPO [National Reconstruction Plan] and other European funds, also on our growth. I cannot imagine that in this second great wave of investments, subcontractors, especially small ones, will again be completely helpless – he continued.

– Today, this is the guarantee of our security, that people who are uncontrolled will not cross our eastern border, because today we are facing a hybrid war on the eastern border, and it must be clearly stated that this border is currently closed – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Zgorzelec.

– It is also important that this project has been recognized as a European project. But this means that we must treat each other as partners on the western border. That is precisely why we have closed the eastern border, why we are securing it, why a law has been introduced that also clearly secures the process of issuing Polish visas and suspends asylum law in these difficult times, in order to send a signal to our partners in the European Union that we take our responsibility very seriously and that, consequently, the border in Europe should remain open and that these Schengen achievements should be treated seriously – he continued.

– And today, this is a signal to our partners in Germany that they should primarily focus on financially supporting us in securing the eastern border, rather than multiplying problems on the border between Poland and Germany, and that full symmetry should apply here – he went on to say.

– Our goal is for the border to be open, because today uncontrolled migrants will no longer be able to get through to us, as we have secured the border. And those times from 8 years ago, when the border was porous and Polish visas were handed out left and right, are over. So, since we take European integration and […] regulations seriously, we will demand exactly the same from our closest partners – he added.

– We spoke about this today with the President, we both expressed our desire that wars end as soon as possible. I want the war in Ukraine to end with lasting peace. I hope that perhaps the coming months, thanks to the efforts made by President Trump, by the American administration, will end with peace, in our understanding, us Poles, here, also the nations and leaders of this part of the world, this part of Europe, it should primarily be lasting peace – stated President Andrzej Duda during a joint statement with the President of Israel.

– Today, we truly need a President of the Republic who will extend an open hand to everyone, even those who think differently, and also to our partners. He should be firm but open to dialogue, not with a clenched fist and clenched lips, because politics is not a boxing ring, but an arena for cooperation and seeking agreement – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Zgorzelec.

– Today, unfortunately, we have a president who, when he sees a pen, his hands tremble; he immediately has to grab it and sign everything blindly. When he hears the Minister of Foreign Affairs say that we must stand firm against Putin and that Putin will never be in Europe, or even in Chisinau or Kyiv, everyone should support such statements – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Zgorzelec.

– The president should support such statements. Not make faces, but clap, because it is in our national interest. And today, we need a president who knows how to cooperate and unite, not just divide – he continued.

– You live here on the border, do you know what my opponents are saying about what's supposedly happening here? That there's some total Armageddon here. That's what they say about what's happening here, in Zgorzelec. We are here, and we see that it's not true – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Zgorzelec.

– I hereby state that Zbigniew Ziobro has failed to appear at the appointed time. The inquiry committee has also not received any justification or any other information from Mr. Ziobro regarding his absence today – informed Magdalena Sroka during the session of the Pegasus inquiry committee.

Tomasz Trela wants the committee to submit a motion to the court for the imposition of the maximum fine, as well as to set a new date for the former minister's interrogation.

“Yesterday, I invited Rafał for a meeting with his voters in Gdańsk. We will answer audience questions together – just like we did at Campus Polska. Those were good conversations,” Szymon Hołownia wrote on X.

“A President must defend the country, so he must be able to defend his views. His campaign team should not perpetually hide him from rivals and difficult situations, only letting him onto a ‘fixed playing field.’ To win, you have to play – not sit on the sidelines and wait,” the Third Way candidate continued in his post.

“Avoiding debates with opponents doesn’t provide an advantage – it only strengthens them. Such a defensive campaign will not mobilize pro-democratic voters for the second round. We need mobilization and victory, not a third presidential election loss to PiS!” he added.

– The matter is extremely serious. Imagine, ladies and gentlemen, that the participation of Polish athletes in the Olympic Games in Paris cost the PKOl (Polish Olympic Committee) 7.5 million PLN. And in the years 2022-2024, Mr. Piesiewicz issued invoices to his private company amounting to nearly 11 million PLN, and additionally paid himself a salary of 1.5 million PLN. A total of 13.5 million PLN. For athletes for the entire Games – 7.5 million PLN, for Mr. Piesiewicz – 13 million. But this is just the beginning, because the scale of siphoning these funds from the institutions he managed is much larger. Colleagues, friendly companies – stated Sławomir Nitras in the Sejm.

– Mr. President Kaczyński, I am saying this to you. Your people created this corrupt, thieving system. I call it thieving because people on the street call this clique nothing other than thieves. You are responsible for robbing Polish athletes. You robbed the people who win medals for us with the white and red flag, and you gave them [the money] away – he continued.

– I don't know if you are aware, but Mr. Piesiewicz's closest associates today, members of the PKOl board, are currently in Karol Nawrocki's honorary committee. What kind of honorary committee is this? It is shameful to sit on such a committee with such people – the Minister of Sport emphasized.

– I have something to say to the gentleman who spoke here: you are afraid of the truth, you are panicking. So, let this individual who spoke here say the same thing, but without using material immunity. He will face lawsuits, and then he will have to prove what my connections are with Mr. Piesiewicz – stated Jarosław Kaczyński in the Sejm.

– I will tell you about your connections. You were the capo di tutti capi of the entire PiS mafia. These are your connections with Mr. Piesiewicz. If not for your power, such people would never have held positions – stated Sławomir Nitras in the Sejm.

– Do not repeat, do not cite unverified sources. I would always encourage using Polish sources, not German ones. Neither the German press nor others. This fascination with Germany, which is apparent in our predecessors, in today's opposition, is increasingly disturbing, because first it was fascination with the German press, today it's fascination with the German police – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in the Sejm.

– In the Electoral Lighthouse, one of the questions directed at the candidates is whether the new president will support a European army. And Mr. Candidate Nawrocki answers on this matter: I have no opinion. That is the answer, that he has no opinion – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in the Sejm.

– Other candidates were able to answer very clearly and distinctly. This is also the opinion of the Polish government. A national army, an alliance bringing together national armies, the NATO alliance, and that is where we need to strengthen. The EU has other tasks, strengthening the defense industry, armaments, spending on security in this area. But not so long ago you were shouting: NATO, NATO, and here, if a straightforward question is posed, whether the new president will support a European army, your candidate cannot clearly answer that he will not support it – he continued.

– There is no talk of a European army, and there should be no European army. The army should be national, and the NATO alliance is the basis for action for security – the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.

– The illegal Pegasus committee is operating so absurdly incompetently that I look at it with disbelief. They can’t even effectively deliver a summons to me. The notice regarding today’s hearing at 12 PM included a pickup deadline… by the end of the post office’s working hours today. And it was only picked up just before the post office closed – wrote Zbigniew Ziobro on social media.

– How much longer are citizens supposed to pay for this embarrassing pseudo-committee that lies in court and violates basic rights? Committee members will, sooner or later, face charges – for attempting to unlawfully deprive me of liberty and for gross exceeding of authority. Moreover, the police and the Marshal's Guard themselves provided evidence of their crimes to the court. Shut down this circus. It is so compromising that it hurts – he added.

– These are abuses by the revisionist [Donald Tusk], a man who, to put it mildly, has unexplained relations with Russia – said Jarosław Kaczyński in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

– A success, but of course it will be Poland’s success first and foremost, because perhaps this horror that is currently ongoing in Poland will end. [A loss] will be very bad news for Poland. Also [for PiS], very bad news – Jarosław Kaczyński said in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

– We stand today before a fundamental social choice: whether the economic system is to serve the elites […], or whether it is to serve the nation, simply all people who are trying to advance, trying to develop their new solutions, fighting in the market, setting up startups, creating new products, creating new services, and what happens? They get bogged down in a thicket of bureaucracy – said Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

– The Donald Tusk government holds the world record for enacting pages of laws that complicate the lives of entrepreneurs. A total of 38,000 new pages have been adopted recently. This is precisely why in many European countries and beyond, the principle is applied: if one new regulation enters, two others must leave or three others must be removed – he continued.

– We therefore propose and appeal to the government to adopt such a deregulation bill as quickly as possible. One that will be all-encompassing, one that will respond to the needs of all young people who are hitting their heads against a glass ceiling somewhere – he went on to say.

– Here, after this Sejm session […] I want to say: I'm checking. […] Here and now, in May, we demand that this Sejm, at its next session and the one after that, before the presidential elections, adopt laws that are deregulation laws – he added.

– Karol Nawrocki has unequivocally stated that he is against the cadastral tax in any form – Mateusz Morawiecki said at a press conference, when asked about Karol Nawrocki's change of stance on the cadastral tax. Initially, Nawrocki wanted to include a ban on such a tax in the Constitution, but from the responses sent to Latarnik Wyborczy, it appears that the candidate supported by PiS supports the introduction of this tax for individuals owning multiple properties.

– Today we received information that exhumations of Polish victims of the Volhynia massacre have begun. This is very important. […] There is no longer a need to talk about it, no need to politicize it, but simply to pay tribute to all those who were murdered and to remember them – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Wałbrzych.

– It is very good that this work has begun and that we do not have to make this a condition for our military support for those who are fighting for their freedom, but for the freedom of all of Europe, but today we can clearly say: yes, finally, what is most important has happened, and it is very good that it has happened, let this work proceed – he continued.

"My political competitors can't even answer basic questions. When asked whether he is for a European army or not, Karol Nawrocki couldn't even express an opinion on the topic. Perhaps it's better that way, because sometimes it's better when he doesn't think about anything, than when he repeats nonsense," said Rafał Trzaskowski in Wałbrzych.

– Fewer burdens for small and medium-sized enterprises, less reporting, less bureaucracy; that's what it's about, not complaining about the European Union today, but changing it from within – he went on to say.

– Sport and boxing teach one thing, and we are in this process as a society and as a national community. So on this road to May 18th, we will still fall and rise, but the goal is victory, and we can achieve this victory only together. This is what sport, social life, and political life tell us – stated Karol Nawrocki in Chojnice.

– On this long journey to the Presidential Palace, to a secure Poland, to a normal Poland, to a Poland of prosperity, and to a Poland full of ambition and developing, we will be determined because Poland needs all of us today, and we will win on May 18th – he added.

– Today's inflation under Donald Tusk and Rafał Trzaskowski is the reality of Poles' lives. The prices of electricity, the prices of groceries. We already know throughout Poland that life is worse for us today than a year ago and than two years ago. This happens when the government truly does not govern in the name of Poles, but occupies itself with other matters – said Karol Nawrocki in Chojnice.

– The President is also for that, and perhaps above all for that, to be the voice of Poles, to listen to Poles, and to raise issues that are important to Poles. – These elections are not just about choosing a president. These elections are about choosing the path, the direction, the Republic will take in the coming years, and perhaps even in the coming decades. Because Donald Tusk closing the system and installing a deputy of Donald Tusk in the Presidential Palace might cause the Poland we remember and love to disappear not just for years, but to disappear for decades – stated Karol Nawrocki in Chojnice.

– One of these paths, that of my main opponent, is a road filled with yellow and red lights. A road devoid of ambition, a road devoid of ideas. There are no ideas there, no vision for what our future should look like, what our Poland should look like. There is only dislike, anger towards those who came before them, attempts at reckoning, but no vision – said Karol Nawrocki in Chojnice.

– The President and Prime Minister of Poland exist for a reason: when Germany, for the murders they committed during World War II, wants to offer us a stone instead of paying reparations, I, as the President of Poland, have the right to say no, I do not agree, because Poland's interests lie elsewhere – stated Karol Nawrocki in Chojnice.

We do not have to fight for our freedom today, fortunately, we do not have to die for our freedom today, and it is to such a Poland that I want to lead you, to a safe Poland. But we must take care of freedom, independence, and sovereignty every day, regardless of the source of the threat – said Karol Nawrocki in Szczecinek.

– Polish farms – under the pressure of the foreign Green Deal ideology. Instead of doing what great Polish farmers have been doing for decades, they are facing the pressure of a foreign ideology and the Green Deal. What are we doing with our freedom? We are handing it over to other agendas. I do not agree that the Green Deal should destroy Polish farms – he continued.

– We also have the right to speak in our own voice regarding the Ukrainian state. The Russian Federation is a threat to us, the post-Soviet, neo-imperial, unchanging Russian Federation. But so many people throughout Poland, as soon as they say that Ukraine behaved indecently towards us, that unfair competition from Ukraine is destroying our transport companies […], our farms, as soon as someone dares to say that, they are called a Russian bootlicker. Immediately, instantly – said Karol Nawrocki in Szczecinek.

– I want to tell you that as the President of the Polish state, I will say: Poland first, Poles first. And President Zelensky should also hear that this is Poland, and Poland has its own goals and needs. And we can be partners, not an auxiliary farm of Brussels or Kyiv – said Karol Nawrocki in Szczecinek.

– Only a non-partisan, civic president, supported by the largest political party in the Polish Sejm and by "Solidarity," is capable of stopping "Tusk-inflation" and a declining Poland. And I will achieve this thanks to you, if we stand together on May 18, which is what I ask for. We must win for Poland – stated Karol Nawrocki in Szczecinek.

– We don't need illegal migrants here, who have already disrupted Brussels, Berlin, and Paris. – We have 10,000 American soldiers in Poland, something that successive governments have been striving for, and these soldiers are in our various bases. The base in Jasionka is currently being taken over by other NATO soldiers. It is protected by British Eurofighters and Norwegian F-35s, and German Patriots, and so on. Never before have we had so many Alliance soldiers in Poland as we do now, and never before have we had so many American soldiers – stated Radosław Sikorski on the program 'Tak jest' on TVN24.

– We have always been of the opinion that President Trump should primarily exert pressure on the aggressor, not on the victim of aggression. – I have also discussed this topic with politicians from the Republican party, recently on Fox television, where we all clearly say that if, God forbid, this war ended in such a way that Putin could present it as his success, it would weaken the security not only of Europe, not only of Ukraine, of course, but also of the United States. It is worth considering for the American administration – he continued.

– For now, it’s a march of one party, one formation, and one candidate. I strongly support another candidate, namely Szymon Hołownia. – Certainly, our goal right now is not to talk about conditions, because we don't know what conclusions the Ukrainians themselves will reach. If the Ukrainians are able to accept these conditions, and I believe the American administration will not put other conditions on the table, then that will be the starting point for ending this conflict – said Rafał Trzaskowski on Polsat News.

– Certainly, Ukraine must be sovereign, and there must be security guarantees for Ukraine, because we all know that Putin only understands the language of force – he added.

– The funeral of John Paul II was an event of immense significance for all of us, for all of Poland, so the situation was entirely different. In this regard, we will of course observe what President Andrzej Duda has announced, the mourning will be observed, but we do not foresee any additional pageantry – stated Rafał Trzaskowski on Polsat News.

– Until now, at least from President Wałęsa to President Duda, in matters of foreign policy and security, we have managed to speak with a common voice regarding, for example, Ukraine’s European aspirations, because it is obvious that it is in our national interest for Ukraine to be part of the West, a kind of buffer zone, and not in Putin's clutches – said Rafał Trzaskowski on Polsat News.

– Only now is my counter-candidate Nawrocki calling this into question, and I lament it, because President Duda, instead of harmonizing with the Prime Minister or the Minister of Foreign Affairs during his expose, is also trying to find fault here. – This is not a bad bill. I am glad that the government is fulfilling its promises and cleaning up after PiS because what PiS did with taxes, with the so-called Polish Deal, especially with the health insurance contribution, was an unbelievable chaos. Shifting all these burdens onto entrepreneurs, onto hundreds of thousands of companies, the government committed to changing this, and it's good that this is happening.
