In addition to the aforementioned exposé, MPs will consider a draft resolution presented by the Sejm Presidium regarding the commemoration of the 1000th anniversary of the coronation of the first kings of Poland, and the second reading of a government bill amending certain acts to deregulate economic and administrative law.

The agenda also includes the second reading of a government bill on special solutions to protect electricity consumers in 2023 and 2024 in connection with the situation on the electricity market. Voting is also scheduled.

Czarzasty on Trzaskowski's Debate:

The Pointlessness Lies in the Fact That He Loses After the Meeting.

Certainly [the coalition will survive the campaign period]. Biejat and Hołownia, who are poking jabs at Trzaskowski, who, without consulting Biejat and Hołownia, convenes a completely pointless meeting, and the pointlessness of this meeting in relation to Rafał is that he loses after it. Would you expect Ms. Biejat to call for a vote for Mr. Trzaskowski and to cross herself out? I would not expect the same from Szymon – stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty in the "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" program on TVN24.

07:44

Czarzasty on the Second Round:

That's the Arrangement.

Regarding the second round, I want to state clearly and precisely. The arrangement is that we will vote for the person from the coalition who makes it to the second round. We will not be tricked into anything, nor will we leave any room for discussion – stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty on "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

07:45

Czarzasty:

Left-wing Senators Will Vote Against Health Contribution

Yesterday, as a club, we unanimously decided to commit senators to vote against the health contribution. Why are we against the health contribution in this formula? Because it is a great lie that the poorest entrepreneurs benefit, as someone with an income of PLN 2,000 gains nothing, someone with PLN 4,000 gains PLN 100, someone with PLN 5,000 gains PLN 135 – stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty on TVN24’s “Piasecki’s Conversation”.

07:59

Czarzasty:

TVP Faces an Image Crisis Because It Has to Explain Itself

I think TVP is facing an image crisis because it has to explain itself. I won't hold it against the people running TVP, because TVP is certainly different now than it was, and it has gone in a good direction. In this matter, in my opinion, they made a mistake – stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" (Piasecki's Conversation).

08:01

Czarzasty on Trzaskowski:

He Stabbed Himself in the Back.

Regarding Rafał [Trzaskowski], I have absolutely no grievance with him; I spoke with him two days ago. We have very good contact with each other, but I think he simply stabbed himself in the back, which, as you know, is very difficult to do to oneself – stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty in "Piasecki's Conversation" on TVN24.

08:40

Czarnek:

Matecki is a political prisoner. There is no evidence of his guilt

– Dariusz Matecki is a political prisoner. He also expected it, when I spoke with him the evening before his arrest on TV Republika, he was aware that they would extend his detention indefinitely. [...] He is imprisoned there as a political prisoner, [...] there is no evidence of Matecki's guilt – said Przemysław Czarnek on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

– They have no evidence, so what can they do with Matecki? They can try to extend his stay in prison. [...] He did nothing – he assessed.

– You say "political prisoner". With all due respect, but Andrzej Poczbut in Belarus is a political prisoner – replied Marcin Fijołek.

– With all due respect, Darek Matecki is a political prisoner. There is no evidence of him committing any crime, and he is treated like a thug and is taken to the hospital in balaclavas. [...] A completely fabricated process, invented charges that have no basis in reality […], that is what a political prison consists of – the PiS politician continued.

08:49

Gliński on the Church, the Pope, and the Conclave:

It's a double-edged topic, I hope no one will play it in the campaign.

– They are important in Poland […] so far in this campaign, no one has played this topic, and I hope they still won't, because it's a double-edged topic – said Piotr Gliński in a conversation with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Gość Radia Zet," when asked if church-related topics concerning religion, the Pope, and the conclave favor right-wing or left-wing candidates more.

– Excessive exploitation of closeness to the Church is often perceived in different ways – he continued.

08:50

Czarnek:

Trzaskowski Means Putin's Danger on the Border This Year

– Nobody is doing themselves a favor [by voting for Karol Nawrocki]. We are doing ourselves a favor, our families, children, and grandchildren, by ensuring their safety. [...] Trzaskowski means breaking normal relations with the United States, those that lead to the defense of the Polish border. Trzaskowski means the real danger of Putin on Poland's border this year – said Przemysław Czarnek on Polsat News's "Graffiti".

– I explained to our friend [supporter – ed.] from Mińsk Mazowiecki that he is not voting for Nawrocki, but for the safety of his children. [...] Either the Americans will stay in Poland and we will tighten our alliance with them, and we will save Poland, [...] or Trzaskowski with Tusk, Sikorski, Macron, and Merz will drive the Americans out of Poland and Europe, and then we will be in a deadly German-Russian embrace – he argued.

08:50

Budka on the President's Decision:

I hope it wasn't malicious.

He could have chosen any other day, the President will then be in the Vatican, at least that's what the media report, but I hope it wasn't malicious, just to disrupt the plans related to the celebrations that the government had planned, I hope it wasn't malicious – stated Borys Budka in the program 'Guest of the Morning' on TVP Info.

I see the hand of the President's now-famous minister in this, if we were to look for malice, but the President has been malicious towards this government from the very beginning. He didn't acknowledge the election results, he couldn't accept that his party, PiS, lost the elections, and for a month, when a government could have been formed, the President did everything to delay it as much as possible. It's a shame that it coincided with such an event, because death and mourning are not elements that should be used to be malicious towards the government – he continued.

08:50

Budka:

Trump's Policy is Unstable, Europe Must Be Ready for Independent Action

We must be able to defend ourselves together with our European allies, should aggression occur, God forbid. The United States is an important partner, but the instability of Donald Trump's policies means that Europe must be united and must be ready for independent action – said Borys Budka on TVP Info.

08:51

Budka Slams PiS over US Tariffs:

These are little diplomats.

Donald Trump is imposing tariffs on the European Union as if we were not partners but some kind of enemy. A very bad decision by Trump, I hope it will be ultimately changed, because it has been suspended. Meanwhile, PiS politicians understand diplomacy just as much as they understand democracy. These are little diplomats, they fail even the most elementary tests when it comes to matters of diplomacy, and they blindly trusted a man who does not care about a strong Europe – stated Borys Budka on TVP Info.

08:51

Budka:

The EU Has Much to Catch Up On; We Believed Armed Conflict Would Never Happen Again in Europe

These are concrete programs like the SAFE program or the EDIP program, still insufficient, but those that have already been initiated, the Union has much to catch up on. The countries of Europe believed that armed conflict would never happen again on our continent – stated Borys Budka on TVP Info.

08:51

Budka attacks Morawiecki:

He's a loser in his own camp, even Kaczyński didn't want him as president.

Morawiecki is a defeated man in his own political camp, even Kaczyński didn't want him as president. Morawiecki behaves like an internet troll, he records his little videos, he talks nonsense. I would like to remind you that this is a man who, in foreign policy, became known for the fact that when Russia was preparing its attack on Ukraine, Morawiecki was traveling to Madrid to meet with the most pro-Russian politicians, those who wanted to destabilize the European Union from within – said Borys Budka on TVP Info.

08:57

Gliński:

Our Successors Have a Better International Context. Agreement on Exhumations is a Consequence of Zelensky's Weakened Position

– I am aware of Michał Dworczyk’s statement [that Minister Wróblewska and her Ukrainian counterpart are having a good dialogue and should be congratulated], I disagree with it slightly – said Piotr Gliński on Radio Zet, when asked about the commencement of exhumations and whether it is a success for Minister Hanna Wróblewska's government.

– I appreciate the continuation, but I probably know a bit more than Michał Dworczyk about what is happening in the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. It’s good that they are not ruining what Michał Dworczyk, among others, initiated, because I recall that Puźniki is a village […] where we obtained permission for searches two years ago – he continued.

– It’s good that our successors haven’t messed this up and that they are continuing this very difficult dialogue. They actually have a better international context right now, because as we can see, Zelensky has overplayed his hand in international politics and is somewhat on the defensive, and therefore he can no longer rely solely and entirely on Germany to sort everything out for him, and thus he must take into account the interests of other countries – he went on to say.

– A weakening of Zelensky's position, certainly – he added, when pressed whether the agreement on exhumations is a consequence of Ukraine's foreign policy.

08:58

Czarnek:

Trzaskowski is Everything Today: Fighting for Christian Civilization, Blessing Easter Eggs...

– Trzaskowski isn't running for Pope, because perhaps he'd like to be Pope too? Trzaskowski is everything today: he's repolonizing, fighting for Christian civilization, restoring crosses in offices, singing carols earlier, and now he's probably blessing Easter eggs. What Trzaskowski says has no significance whatsoever – said Przemysław Czarnek on Polsat News's "Graffiti."

09:03

Gliński:

I am certain the US will defend countries where their soldiers are stationed

– I am certain they will defend countries where their soldiers are stationed, and in the number of 10,000, as well as installations, and Patriot systems; all of this ensures Poland's security at this moment – said Piotr Gliński on Radio Zet, when asked if he was sure that if Putin attacked Poland, the US would respond in kind against Russia.

– I have no doubts that we are more secure than we were under Tusk, when there were no American soldiers here – he continued.

09:10

Czarnek:

Health Contribution Cut Only for Small Business Owners. It's Foolish to Cut It for High-Earning Lawyers or Doctors

– We are still in favour of lowering the health contribution for the hairdresser, the watchmaker, who earn a few thousand zlotys a month. However, we are not in favour of what this act [passed by the Sejm] does, for the lawyer or the doctor running a private practice, earning tens or even hundreds of thousands of zlotys a month, to have their health contribution reduced by 2,000 zlotys, because that is foolishness – said Przemysław Czarnek in Polsat News's "Graffiti".

09:11

PiS-Confederation Coalition? Gliński: A government with any conservative party is better for Poland than the current one

– It depends on the circumstances – Piotr Gliński said on Radio Zet, when asked if PiS would form a government with Confederation after the elections.

– It also depends on the other side […] of course, such a potential government with any conservative party is better for Poland than the current government – he continued.

09:39

Tusk Suggests Duda's Decision on Health Contribution:

As He Began, So He Ends.

After blocking the hate speech bill, the president intends to veto the reduction of the health contribution, which was raised to an absurd level by PiS. As he began, so he ends. There are 105 days left. Can you endure? – wrote Prime Minister Donald Tusk on social media.

10:04

Tusk Announces Decision on Papal Funeral:

We’re Sticking to This Rule.

The President will represent the Polish state in the Vatican during the ceremonies for Pope Francis. I was also in contact with the Marshal of the Sejm. The Marshal of the Sejm will also participate in these ceremonies, as will the Marshal of the Senate. There is a rule that someone from this quartet should, however, oversee matters in the country, and we are sticking to this rule. Therefore, I have agreed with the President that I will be looking after things here in Poland during that time – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in the Sejm.

10:06

Tusk Asked About Trzaskowski's Potential Defeat:

For Now, I'm Not Considering Such a Scenario.

For now, I'm not considering such a scenario [Rafał Trzaskowski's defeat], so I don't have an interesting comment on this matter – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in the Sejm.

10:07

Tusk Asked About Kilometers Allowances:

I Will Personally Question Them.

I didn't realize it also applied to ministers. Yes, I will check thoroughly and personally question them on how they accrued these kilometer allowances – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in the Sejm.

10:10

Tusk on the tweet regarding health contribution:

I hope perhaps such pressure will still influence a correction of this announcement.

My stance on this issue is clear. It was my commitment from the election campaign, to lower the health contribution, especially for small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, because Morawiecki's increase was inadequate and very painful, particularly for those who work hardest but don't earn much. So the President knows my opinion. I made this statement because I hope that perhaps such pressure will still influence a correction of this announcement – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in the Sejm.

10:11

Tusk:

It's Difficult for a Prime Minister to Argue with a President When They Declare National Mourning

I know there are a lot of emotions surrounding this, I don't quite understand why. I'm saying this very honestly. It's difficult for a Prime Minister to argue with a President when they declare national mourning. This mourning is not restrictive – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in the Sejm.

10:14

Tusk on the Stakes of the Presidential Election:

I’m counting heavily on people mobilizing.

You all know what is at stake in these elections. It is as high as it was on October 15th, which is why I am counting heavily on people mobilizing, and when it comes to the scope and weight of political elections, not much has changed in Poland – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in the Sejm.

10:33

Sikorski:

The Stakes of the War are for Ukraine to Decide on Compromises and Foreign Troops

– We don't know how the war will unfold, whose troops will lose the will to fight, or who will run out of resources first, but as of today, we know that Ukraine is heroically defending itself, so there is no reason to surrender, and Europe is declaring further financial and military support – said Radosław Sikorski during his exposé in the Sejm.

– The stakes of this war are for Ukraine to be able to determine what is in its interest, what compromises it can agree to, and what foreign troops it might want to have on its territory – he continued.

10:37

Sikorski:

The greatest threat to Poland would be the disintegration of the Western community

The greatest threat to Poland would be the disintegration of the Western community. Therefore, we cannot afford illusions or inaction, nor isolation; we strive for the credibility of alliances, we want to and can be their architects – stated Radosław Sikorski in the Sejm.

10:40

Sikorski:

NATO and EU Membership Don't Limit Polish Sovereignty, But Help Defend It

– The international environment is less predictable than 20 years ago, but Poland is stronger. We are strong through the NATO alliance and membership in the European Union. Let's repeat this: membership in both these organizations does not limit Polish sovereignty, but helps defend sovereignty – said Radosław Sikorski during his exposé in the Sejm.

– We are better prepared for difficult times than we would be as a lone island, outside the networks of military, political, and economic alliances – he continued.

10:40

Sikorski in the Sejm:

The War Has Cost Russia at Least $200 Billion, Almost a Million Russian Soldiers Eliminated from Combat.

The situation on the front in eastern and southern Ukraine is ambiguous. Small advances by Russian forces are local victories at the cost of enormous losses. Russia is gradually increasing the size of its army, paying a generous salary through conscription and the use of thousands of soldiers from North Korea, and yet after 3 years of this stage of the war, I remind you, planned by Putin for 3 days, Russian troops control only about 20% of Ukrainian territory and are still stuck in eastern Ukraine – stated Radosław Sikorski in the Sejm.

It is estimated that the war has already cost Russia at least $200 billion, and almost a million Russian soldiers have been eliminated from the battlefield – he added.

10:43

Zandberg:

Tusk's Government Is Outbidding Mentzen, and the Sick Are Paying the Price, Standing in Ever-Longer Queues

Tusk's government is outbidding Mentzen, and the sick are paying the price, standing in ever-longer queues. The dismantling of healthcare finances will end in the privatization of hospitals. This absurdity must be stopped! I hope the president will be persuaded by the arguments for a veto that I presented to him – Adrian Zandberg wrote on social media.

10:44

Błaszczak on the Sejm Presidium’s surprise:

If not for the PiS club, the Sejm wouldn’t have even addressed the resolution commemorating the Pope.

If not for the Law and Justice Parliamentary Club, the Sejm wouldn’t have even addressed the resolution commemorating Holy Father Francis. The Presidium, from which the December 13 coalition deprived the largest club’s representative of a seat, was surprised by the initiative; they didn’t think that in a Catholic country, a deceased Pope could be commemorated – wrote Mariusz Błaszczak on social media.

10:47

Sikorski:

We Will Not Send Troops to Ukraine

We will not send troops [to Ukraine], but we will provide support for a potential mission. Without Poland, providing aid to Ukraine would be impossible – stated Radosław Sikorski in the Sejm.

10:50

Sikorski:

Russia's Claim to Warsaw is Roughly as Valid as Our Claim to Smolensk

– Russia's claim to Warsaw is roughly as valid as our claim to Smolensk, because we also ruled there for about 100 years. The difference is that almost no one here thinks in such an anachronistic way – said Radosław Sikorski during his exposé in the Sejm.

– We do not feel the need to compensate for civilizational complexes with fantasies of domination over others, because we have other sources of national pride – he continued.

10:51

"You Will Never Rule Here Again." Sikorski Delivers a Message to "Dugin’s Patrons"

Times have changed, and for Mr. Dugin’s patrons, I have a message: you will never rule here again. Not in Kyiv, not in Vilnius, not in Riga, not in Tallinn, not in Chisinau – stated Radosław Sikorski in the Sejm.

10:52

Sikorski on Dworczyk's Ammunition Procurement Proposal:

Every Good Idea Deserves Attention.

In matters concerning the defense of Poland and Europe, every attempt at disinformation must be unequivocally combated, but every good idea deserves attention, regardless of the political affiliation of its author. The suggestions made by Mr. Michał Dworczyk regarding the simplification of regulations for ammunition procurement, the reduction of energy costs for plants producing combat materials, and perhaps even the easier granting of licenses for this type of production to smaller private companies were interesting – said Radosław Sikorski in the Sejm.

10:54

Sikorski:

Sanctions are Working, Weakening Russia's War Machine

Sanctions are working, they are weakening Russia's war machine, the best proof of which is Russia's demands for their lifting, raised from the very beginning of negotiations with the USA – stated Radosław Sikorski in the Sejm.

10:55

Sikorski addresses PiS:

You are misleading the public. Why scare the nation?

“Opposition politicians are misleading the public by explaining why they voted against a resolution – which is non-binding, by the way – on European defense in the European Parliament. Jarosław Kaczyński – absent again – claims it's about handing over Polish money for armaments and control over the Polish army to Brussels and Berlin. Mateusz Morawiecki says he will not allow, and I quote, 'tinkering with our relations with NATO.' Others are scaring us by saying that new regulations could, and I quote, 'eliminate the principle of unanimity when it comes to defense',” stated Radosław Sikorski in the Sejm.

“Ladies and gentlemen, why scare the nation? Firstly: the resolution makes no mention of transferring command over the Polish army or the defense budget. There is no such mention. Secondly: its provisions aim to streamline and increase the cost-effectiveness of military equipment procurement for the armies of member states. It’s about economies of scale: by buying together, we can buy more and cheaper,” he continued.

Thirdly: the principle of unanimity, which nationalists are so enamored with, causes, for example, our armed forces modernization fund to not receive 450 million euros in compensation for the supplies we sent to Ukraine, during your government. The decision is being blocked by the Hungarian friends of today’s opposition. Satisfied?” he asked.

10:59

Sikorski:

Our Goal Should Be Lasting and Just Peace, Not a Fragile Ceasefire

We are among the countries that want to continue exerting pressure on Russia and its allies in order to bring an end to the ongoing aggression as quickly as possible. Our goal should not be a fragile ceasefire, but a lasting and just peace in accordance with the principles of the United Nations Charter – stated Radosław Sikorski in the Sejm.

11:09

Sikorski on Migration Principles, Recalling Visa Scandal:

We've Built a Dam.

– The borders of Poland, NATO, the European Union, and the Schengen Area must be defended not only against Putin's army but also against illegal migration, which is part of the hybrid warfare waged by the dictators of Russia and Belarus against the West. The government of the United Right left chaos in migration policy, culminating in the visa scandal. We had to act quickly – said Radosław Sikorski during his exposé in the Sejm.

– As early as January 2024, I suspended the functioning of Poland.Business Harbour, a program launched in 2020 to facilitate access to the Polish labor market for IT professionals from Belarus, and later also from Moldova, Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. In the autumn of last year, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs prepared a draft law for the Sejm to eliminate irregularities in the visa system – he continued.

– I raised visa fees and tightened the system for issuing student visas. We support the arrival of genuine students for genuine studies, but we will not allow the devaluation of Polish diplomas or the use of pseudo-studies to extort work permits in the European Union – he went on to say.

– Migration management cannot be considered in isolation from the goals of the Polish economy. […] We need experts who will provide support in the fields of digitalization, automation, and artificial intelligence. We have built a dam against the uncontrolled influx of unskilled migrants. Lower-skilled workers from outside the EU can apply for seasonal work in Poland for a period of up to 9 months – he added.

– We accept those who will not disrupt our social cohesion and can strengthen our economy. We deport those who break the law or may pose a threat – he emphasized.

11:10

Sikorski to Russia: Worry About Holding Onto Chajszenwaj – From Chinese Vladivostok

– Don't you have enough land? 11 time zones and still not enough? Focus on better governance of what lies within your borders according to international law. Instead of fantasizing about reconquering Warsaw, worry about whether you will hold onto Chajszenwaj [traditional Chinese name for Vladivostok – ed.] – stated Radosław Sikorski in the Sejm.

11:13

Sikorski:

China would create new value in the global order if they brought an end to the war in Ukraine

We respect the Chinese nation and its great culture. We differ in our approach to human rights, but we admire the modernization leap that the People’s Republic of China has achieved in recent decades. However, we believe that China would create new value in the global order if, and they have the means to do so, they brought an end to Putin’s colonial war in Ukraine. Instead of a wolf warrior, we would prefer to see China as a messenger of peace – said Radosław Sikorski in the Sejm.

11:13

Sikorski:

Russian Imperialism is Our Enemy. There Will Be No Other Policy Towards Putin's Regime

– Russian imperialism is our enemy. This is our current policy towards Putin's regime, and there will be no other – stated Radosław Sikorski in the Sejm.

11:13

Sikorski:

Poland and Germany Bear Exceptional Responsibility for Europe's Security

Poland and Germany bear an exceptional responsibility for the security of Europe. For the past 8 years, the governments of the United Right pursued a policy of a cold war towards Germany. In reality, they pursued a policy of mobilizing their electorate at the expense of foreign policy. I have one request, please name even one benefit that Poland achieved from this – stated Radosław Sikorski in the Sejm.

11:14

Sikorski:

As long as Germany is in the EU and NATO, I fear German aversion to armaments more than the German army

As long as Germany is in the EU and NATO, I fear German aversion to armaments more than the German army. We notice the announcement of a new approach to security challenges from the coalition forming in Berlin – stated Radosław Sikorski in the Sejm.

11:16

Sikorski Appeals to the USA:

We Don’t Need a Trade War, but Cooperation in Our Transatlantic Family.

In response to steps taken by Washington that affect the economic interests of member states, the European Union must react intelligently and unequivocally. The response should be proportionate, and Europe should always be open to dialogue and ready to dismantle barriers. This is the stance promoted by the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. We don’t need a trade war, but cooperation in our transatlantic family – stated Radosław Sikorski in the Sejm.

11:17

Sikorski Announces New Treaty with France:

We Hope to Sign It in the Coming Weeks

– Bilateral and multilateral cooperation with the most important partners from Western Europe is of significant importance in Polish security policy. The Weimar Triangle format, which we have revived, serves this purpose, as does the EU’s big five format, launched on our initiative in Warsaw and very active since then, expanded to include Great Britain and with the participation of the High Representative [of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy] – stated Radosław Sikorski in the Sejm.

– We are negotiating a new treaty with France, which we hope to sign in the coming weeks – he declared.

11:30

Sikorski on Poland's Accession to the G20:

We Are Already on the Threshold of the World's 20 Largest Economies.

We want to avoid further polarization between emerging and wealthy countries in multilateral forums. We are open to sharing our experience of successful transformation with others in a spirit of partnership and solidarity, so that we can build bridges of understanding in an unstable world. Poland's accession to the G20 would favor the realization of these goals. We are already on the threshold of the world's 20 largest economies – stated Radosław Sikorski in the Sejm.

11:32

Sikorski:

I Thank the President for All Nominations Being Signed Now

– I still see no reason why the Minister of Foreign Affairs should be deprived of influence over who implements our policy as head of a diplomatic mission. I am pleased that in recent weeks a pragmatic view and a willingness for compromise are prevailing. I thank Mr. President for all the nominations being signed now – said Radosław Sikorski during his exposé in the Sejm.

11:39

Sikorski Questions the Opposition:

Do you really think Poland will be stronger without a strong EU?

– It is reasonable to ask the opposition at this point: do you really want the European Union to become merely a customs union? That's what you're saying, thank you for confirming. Your allies from Hungary and Ordo Iuris are already contributing to the program of an American think tank whose goal is to mobilize the power of the United States to strip the European Commission and the European Court of Justice of their competencies. Is that what you want? Do you really think Poland will be stronger without a strong Union? – stated Radosław Sikorski in the Sejm.

11:40

Sikorski Repeats Trzaskowski’s Campaign Slogan at the End of His Exposition:

All of Poland Forward!

– Poland should not delude itself into thinking it will benefit from a world where the law of the fist once again prevails. Nor that Poland will be better off when the rest of Europe is worse off. On the contrary, it should commit its resources to defending democracy, respecting the rule of law, international order, and a just and effective European Union – said Radosław Sikorski at the conclusion of his exposition in the Sejm.

– The stakes are whether Europe, our home, will remain one of the world’s centers, or be torn apart into several dozen impoverished markets. Whether it will be a superpower or a doormat. Whether it will co-govern the world or become an open-air museum. Poland’s security, prosperity, and strength depend on this. All of Poland forward! – he continued.

11:41

Morawiecki on Sikorski's Speech:

I Am Horrified.

I am horrified by Minister Sikorski's speech… They want to hand over our security to European bureaucrats! We will never allow countries that have done business with Russia for years and disarmed their armed forces to decide on Poland's security! – wrote Mateusz Morawiecki on social media.

Stop paying off your debts at the cost of Poland's security! The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also lacked the courage to apologize for the absence of the EU-USA summit in Warsaw. I will only agree with one sentence – I will never allow our relations with NATO to be tampered with – he emphasized.

11:50

Duda on Sikorski’s Speech:

He Essentially Reduced It to Party Politics.

It quite painfully contested with the minister's address today, and especially, as some of you may have noticed, with what happened at the end, where the minister essentially reduced it all to party politics, using the slogan of one of the presidential candidates and loudly shouting it practically in the parliamentary chamber – stated President Andrzej Duda in the Sejm.

I deeply regret, and it comes with great disappointment, that the minister did not find a place in his speech to highlight the developing and excellently functioning international cooperation that Poland is realizing within the framework of the Three Seas Initiative – he continued.

11:55

Duda Criticizes Tusk, Suggesting He Can’t Invite International Leaders:

He Doesn’t Organize Such Meetings.

It’s a pity that the Minister of Foreign Affairs, while talking about the successes of the Polish presidency, which certainly did not boil down to being present here and making truly important decisions in international and European matters, because important meetings take place in Paris, Brussels, and other locations, Prime Minister Tusk travels to these meetings, but he does not organize such meetings in Poland. I don’t know if this stems from his unwillingness to cooperate in this area with the President of the Republic of Poland, or if it stems from his inability and lack of skill in inviting international leaders to Poland and discussing important matters with them – stated President Andrzej Duda in the Sejm.

12:02

Duda Strongly Criticizes Tusk’s Government in the Sejm:

I Wish They Would Finally Stop Talking and Start Acting.

47 days ago, I submitted a proposal here, in the Polish Sejm, to amend the Constitution by stipulating that Poland will spend a minimum of 4% of its GDP annually on its security and defense. I hope this proposal will finally be considered, as it is a fundamental issue for our security. I wish the ministers and the prime minister would finally stop talking and start acting. I wish we would implement these fundamental matters that will also secure the level of military spending for the future – stated President Andrzej Duda in the Sejm.

12:09

Duda:

I Know the Airport is in Berlin. But We Want a Major International Airport in Poland Too

I know the airport is in Berlin. I know. But we, Poles, want, and I am convinced that the absolute majority of my compatriots agree with me, to have a major international airport in Poland as well, one that allows us to communicate with the whole world and fly to all corners of the globe – stated President Andrzej Duda in the Sejm.

12:12

Sikorski Responds to Duda:

He Probably Didn't Read It All.

I recall that, in accordance with the Constitution, it is the Council of Ministers that conducts foreign policy. The president, on the other hand, should represent Poland and this policy. The President probably hasn't fully read the Constitutional Tribunal's ruling on cooperation, because it stated that the president does not play a role in European policy and that the president cooperates with the Council of Ministers, not the other way around – stated Radosław Sikorski at a press briefing in the Sejm.

12:14

Sikorski Responds to Duda:

It's Not Entirely a Success.

The President, in line with the facts, noted that I did not mention the Three Seas Initiative. It is true, I did not mention it, because it is a presidential initiative, the President extended invitations without consultation with the government, and the government does not know what the agenda or the purpose of this meeting should be. I am glad that the President is pleased that the US Secretary of Energy will attend the Three Seas meeting, but he did invite the US President, so it's not entirely a success – stated Radosław Sikorski at a press briefing in the Sejm.

12:18

Sikorski:

'All of Poland Forward' is a Great Motivation for All of Us to Strengthen Poland's International Standing

I believe that 'all of Poland forward' is a very good motivation for all of us to strengthen Poland's position on the international stage – stated Radosław Sikorski at a press briefing in the Sejm.

12:32

Fogiel after Sikorski's exposé:

Delighted by the diametrical shift in the perception of Russian policy.

– I am delighted by the diametrical shift in the perception of Russian policy. You are quoting today the words of the head of Russian intelligence that Poland is showing an aggressive stance and rattling its sabre, you are rightly calling this a manifestation of Russian imperialism, and this is a fundamental change from a politician who described the late President Lech Kaczyński as boastfully anti-Russian – said Radosław Fogiel in the Sejm after Radosław Sikorski's exposé.

12:36

Fogiel:

Polish Foreign Policy Under Tusk and Sikorski Follows Decisions of Other Countries

– We are dealing with a government that very loudly boasts about its immense capabilities, its great influence, and its strategic advantages, but when it comes to real actions, it exclusively follows the lead of other states – said Radosław Fogiel in the Sejm after Radosław Sikorski's exposé.

– Just as stragglers follow an army, so too does Polish foreign policy under the leadership of Prime Minister Tusk and Minister Radosław Sikorski follow the decisions of other countries – he continued.

12:39

Fogiel:

I have an irresistible impression that the current government is taking us back to the Yalta order era

– I have an irresistible impression that the current government, by our own volition, is taking us back to the times of the Yalta order, resigning Poland's seat at the table and abandoning the Polish voice – Radosław Fogiel said in the Sejm after Radosław Sikorski's exposé.

– Using football comparisons so close to Prime Minister Tusk, one can conclude that this government operates under the philosophy that if you don't go out onto the pitch, you won't concede a goal – he continued.

12:41

Sikorski on Duda:

He Protested Against Party Politics While Simultaneously Repeating the PiS Camp’s Insinnuation.

– The President protested against party politics, while at the same time repeating an insinuation from the camp he originates from, as if someone believed that because there is an airport in Berlin, Poland doesn't need airports. This is untrue. Firstly, the CPK project is being continued. Secondly, I would like to point out, Mr. President, that the size of an airport and the length of the routes we can take from that airport have no connection whatsoever – stated Radosław Sikorski at a press briefing in the Sejm.

12:41

Sikorski:

It Seems the President Wasn't Listening Attentively to My Speech

– It seems the president wasn't listening attentively to the speech, because – please check the text – there are many, several references to the pressing need for transatlantic cooperation and with the United States – stated Radosław Sikorski at a press briefing in the Sejm.

13:50

Nawrocki:

Tusk and Trzaskowski are adherents of micromanagement. A President cannot be like that

– The current government of Donald Tusk, as well as his deputy, my main opponent Rafał Trzaskowski, are adherents of micromanagement and minimalism. And micromanagement and minimalism is not only a lack of faith in us as a national community, but it is unfortunately also […] an attempt to cover up a lack of ideas, a lack of a vision for what Poland should be. And Poland must be ambitious, it must implement investments such as the Vistula Spit canal or the Central Communication Port (CPK) – said Karol Nawrocki at a press conference at the Vistula Spit canal.

– As the president of the Polish state, I will certainly inspire Poles towards great investments, great dreams. […] Because Poles are a very intelligent, hardworking, and entrepreneurial nation, and a president should believe in Poles, believe in Poland, and undertake investments like this one here – he indicated.

– The president of the Polish state cannot lack faith in his own nation and be an adherent of micromanagement. He cannot dismantle the CPK and say that the end of his aspirations is Berlin airport – he continued.

13:59

Bosak on Sikorski's Expose:

Journalism Prevails Over Politics, Lack of Any Vision.

In our assessment, the expose we heard was an instance where journalism prevailed over politics, playing on potential societal fears of isolation. This was much more evident in the speech of KO representative MP Kowal than in the minister’s address – stated Krzysztof Bosak in the Sejm.

What we heard, in my opinion, was primarily a lack of any vision. If someone were to define the vision for Polish foreign policy before this expose, to attribute a set of possible slogans to this government, it would sound quite similar to what was delivered. There is no effect here – he continued.

14:02

Nawrocki:

Sikorski's Speech in Parliament Was Actually About the PiS Government's Successes. Only "Thank You" Was Missing

– Those parts of Minister Sikorski's speeches that I saw were essentially a commendation of the PiS government. Because Minister Sikorski spoke about all the successes of the PiS government and the United Right. He spoke about the developing Polish army, and we remember that this happened thanks to Minister Mariusz Błaszczak. He spoke about strengthening Poland's eastern border, and this also happened during the rule of the United Right – said Karol Nawrocki at a press conference on the Vistula Spit canal.

– If I didn't know it was Minister Sikorski, I would have thought that a PiS politician was speaking in the Sejm, not a minister from Civic Platform. At the very end of the minister's speech, all that was missing were the words: "Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, ministers of the United Right, thank you" – he stated.

14:14

Nawrocki:

The Role of the Future President is Not to Comment on Polls. I'll Leave That to Journalists

– I consistently do not comment on polls. I did not comment on them during the February polling operation […]. I think all polling agencies have a big problem today after what they did in February this year, which was trying to convince public opinion that things were different than they actually were – said Karol Nawrocki at a press conference on the Vistula Spit canal.

– I leave commenting on polls to publicists, journalists. It is not my role as the future president of the Polish state to comment on polls. I feel great support from Poles, wherever I am, I am met with great kindness – he stated.

– I am very calm about my result, but it requires hard work. And when you work hard, you don't have time to comment on polls – he added.

14:20

Szefernaker on Daniel Nawrocki’s Activities:

Full Mobilization.

Full mobilization! Daniel Nawrocki is heading across Poland with #Nawrocki2025 banners – Paweł Szefernaker wrote on social media.

14:36

Trzaskowski on Economic Patriotism at EKG:

Our Approach to the Economy in Europe Requires Significant Correction.

Our approach to the economy in Europe requires a significant correction. I am absolutely convinced that in this new situation, Poland must look after its own interests, rather than wait for a completely new world order to emerge from this dust and debris. Economic patriotism is precisely the answer to what is happening. First and foremost, it means investing in our own capabilities, our own industrial capacity, but not only that – it also means supporting entrepreneurs, treating private and state-owned companies equally, and establishing fair rules of the game for our Polish entities, European ones, and most importantly, those from outside of Europe – stated Rafał Trzaskowski during the EKG in Katowice.

14:39

Trzaskowski:

If We Want a Strong Polish, European Market, We Should Protect It

If we want a strong Polish, European market, we should protect it, especially in these difficult times. We need to ensure European self-sufficiency. I was literally at the Częstochowa steelworks yesterday, that's an example of where sensible intervention is possible, where the government can take responsibility upon itself and act precisely in this way to strengthen our self-sufficiency – stated Rafał Trzaskowski during the EKG [Economic Congress of Poland] in Katowice.

14:42

Trzaskowski on Deregulation:

If I Became President of Poland, I Would Exert Pressure for the Work to Conclude Successfully.

We need economic patriotism, which favors Polish production where we are strong and have advantages, and strengthens Poland as a pillar of the entire European common market. And that is why we need smart regulation, both in Poland and in the EU – stated Rafał Trzaskowski during the EKG in Katowice.

I am very glad that work has begun on this matter, both in Poland and in the EU, because it is indeed our priority today. And I assure you that if I became President of Poland, I would exert pressure for this work to conclude successfully – he continued.

14:45

Trzaskowski:

We Must Limit Abuses in the Use of Pre-trial Detention

Tax settlements are an instrument that could help businesses in difficult situations. And, of course, something we have been grappling with for decades. Namely, we must limit abuses in the use of pre-trial detention, because unfortunately, it has been used as a tool of pressure in economic cases – stated Rafał Trzaskowski during the EKG in Katowice.

14:47

Trzaskowski:

It is crucial not to impose further burdens on the European economy, such as ETS2

It is crucial not to impose further burdens on the European economy. Such as ETS2, meaning emissions from the road transport and buildings sector. And that's the key point, because it's not enough to talk about blocking the Mercosur agreement or preventing certain additional regulations from coming into effect now; one must be able to build efficient, effective coalitions. I will support the government in this – stated Rafał Trzaskowski during the EKG in Katowice.

14:53

Trzaskowski:

Europe Has Begun to Speak with Our Voice on Security Matters

I am very pleased that Europe has begun to speak with our voice on security matters. It is Europe that is speaking clearly that the threat comes from Russia, that the Eastern Shield is a European project, it is Europe speaking with our voice that money must be found for the defense industry, including the Polish defense industry – stated Rafał Trzaskowski during the EKG in Katowice.

14:56

Trzaskowski:

Major Investments Must Also Be Open to Polish Private Capital

Major investments must also be open to Polish private capital, because Polish companies know very well, and are often able to create modern projects and services better and cheaper. And we have someone to learn from here, and we are truly an absolute leader – stated Rafał Trzaskowski during the EKG in Katowice.

14:58

Trzaskowski:

I don't know if buying Korean equipment makes sense when we make better howitzers in Poland

I don't know if buying Korean equipment makes sense when we make better howitzers in Poland. I don't know if we always have to look for equipment from outside Poland when it comes to drones, radar systems, or even satellite components, if Polish companies are capable of doing it just as well or even better – stated Rafał Trzaskowski during the EKG in Katowice.

15:00

Trzaskowski:

Energy Transformation Must Be a Social Process, Spread Over Years

The energy transformation must be a social process, spread over years, and if I were to become President of the Republic of Poland, I would ensure that this process is characterized by evolution, not revolution. We need to create jobs here – stated Rafał Trzaskowski during the EKG in Katowice.

15:04

Trzaskowski:

If I Become President, I Will Make Artificial Intelligence Development a Key Element of the National Development Strategy

The development and application of solutions based on artificial intelligence is a matter for the entire state, and it's worth emphasizing this. The entire state, not just fragments of it. We need to have one sensible strategy that will encompass the public sector, as well as business, education, and will touch upon state security
stated Rafał Trzaskowski during the EKG in Katowice.

If I become president, I will make the development of artificial intelligence a key element of the National Development Strategy and, of course, security, and I will include the area of artificial intelligence as an integral part of the work of the National Security Bureau (BBN) and the National Security Council (RBN) – he continued.

15:07

Trzaskowski:

We Need More Free University Studies, Not Less

You can hear the din of the election campaign. Today, we need more free university studies, not less, especially in key sectors, meaning more engineers, specialists in new technologies, and artificial intelligence. We need departments that focus on technologies and artificial intelligence. We also need scholarships for students and lecturers – stated Rafał Trzaskowski during the EKG in Katowice.

15:09

Trzaskowski:

Poland Needs a New Brand Today

Poland needs a new brand today. We are moving beyond what was our strength, which was cheaper labor. Today, we need a new brand. I am absolutely convinced that new technologies, artificial intelligence, are exactly what we can bet on – stated Rafał Trzaskowski during the EKG forum in Katowice.

15:11

Trzaskowski:

We Need a Presidency That is Independent, But Also Active

Today, we need a presidency that is independent, but also active, one that will demand action from the government. If the government fails to do so, the President himself will put forward his own proposals – stated Rafał Trzaskowski during the EKG in Katowice.

15:16

Trzaskowski:

It's Time for the Polish Political Class to Shed Its Complexes Too

The Polish society has long since shed all its complexes. Polish entrepreneurs have shed their complexes. It's time for the Polish political class to shed its complexes too and mature to the level of society, to those people thanks to whom we have achieved such great success – stated Rafał Trzaskowski during the EKG in Katowice.

15:17

Trzaskowski:

Let's Not Let Them Take Away Our Pride in All We've Achieved

One final appeal – let's not let them take away our pride in all we've managed to achieve. Noise, quarrels, constant divisions – let's take a deep breath from time to time and consider what we've managed to do over these past few years. Let's consider, of course, those who haven't succeeded, but who have the right to realize their dreams and aspirations, and that's what government and the president are for – to create conditions precisely for everyone who has succeeded, so they can achieve even greater success – stated Rafał Trzaskowski during the EKG in Katowice.

16:05

Hołownia Invites to a Meeting:

Even the Best Exposé Isn't a Place for Campaign Slogans.

Even the best exposé isn't a place for campaign slogans. Those willing to talk about the turbulent day in the Sejm are invited to Czytelnik at 7 PM, which is under the Civic Platform's office. People are the most important thing – wrote Szymon Hołownia on social media.

16:19

Hołownia on Tusk’s, Kaczyński’s, and Chaos’s Candidates:

New Times Require New Thinking About Leadership.

I decided to run in these elections. Against Donald Tusk’s candidate, against Jarosław Kaczyński’s candidate, and against the candidate of chaos, who is Sławomir Mentzen. I decided to run because I believe these are new times, and new times require new thinking about leadership in Poland – stated Szymon Hołownia at a press conference in Warsaw.

16:19

Hołownia:

We Must Stop Thinking of the Presidency as Another Chapter in the Duopoly's Rule

We must stop thinking of the presidency, of leadership in Poland, as another chapter in the duopoly's rule, which will once again, if we allow it, result in a president in the Presidential Palace who represents a part of Poland, their supporters, rather than a president of all Poles – stated Szymon Hołownia at a press conference in Warsaw.

17:17

Sikorski Discusses Ukraine with Rubio; Peace Talks Dominate Conversation

Minister Radosław Sikorski held a phone conversation with US Secretary of State Mark Rubio – the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.

During the call, they discussed: the state of negotiations regarding peace in Ukraine and scenarios for the development of the situation, possibilities for exerting pressure on Russia, and the situation on the border with Belarus.

17:23

Kosiniak-Kamysz on Hołownia:

No Better Guarantor of Peace Today.

Why should we vote for Szymon Hołownia? If you want peace, you vote for Hołownia. If you want peace in the homeland, you vote for Hołownia. If you want peace around our homeland, you vote for Hołownia. There is no better guarantor of peace today among the candidates who have put themselves forward – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at the "Safe Poland" conference.

If you want peace, you must show courage. Today, it is not obvious to vote for Szymon Hołownia, but it is truly the best solution, and tomorrow it may be the only solution – he added.

17:24

Kosiniak-Kamysz on Health Contributions:

I Don't Understand the Left That Fears This Change,

I don't understand the Left, which fears this change so much, because 600,000 companies have already gone bankrupt, and they don't pay any taxes or contributions today. This is the grey economy, this is a loophole in the system. Thanks to our change, new companies will be created, and there will be no deficit in health contributions, but rather an increase to the state budget, while monthly burdens for entrepreneurs will be lower. Szymon Hołownia will sign this act immediately – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at the "Safe Poland" conference.

17:25

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

We Need a President Who Goes Where It's Unpleasant and Unwelcoming

In today's times, you cannot have a president who is afraid to go into a television studio of an unfavorable station. You cannot have a president today who wants to flip the table in a room they are afraid to enter. You need a president who has the courage to be wherever they need to be, especially where it's unpleasant and unwelcoming, because peace has its price – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at the "Secure Poland" conference.

17:30

Trzaskowski:

Naive Globalization is Heading for the Dustbin; Our Response Must Be Economic and Regional Patriotism

– The world has changed, and this naive globalization is heading for the dustbin. Our response to this must be economic patriotism, but also regional patriotism and readiness to strengthen our independence, to strengthen our sovereignty, and to have a plan for how to cope in this very difficult reality – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Katowice.

17:34

Trzaskowski:

Today There Are No Enemies in Europe

– We all know, and you here in Silesia know best, because you have always been pro-European, that today there are no enemies in Europe, that today we must have equally good relations with the United States as well as within the European Union. We must be strong, because the European Union and our strong role within the European Union also guarantee us security – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Katowice.

17:40

Trzaskowski:

For Poland to Grow, It Cannot Rely on Chinese Solar Panels or Indian Steel

– We must clearly state that if we want Poland to grow in connection with the energy transition and investments in new technologies, it cannot grow on solar panels arriving from China or on steel arriving from India – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Katowice.

– That these countries must adhere to our standards and that we must build our economy and the strength of our economy, and only then will we create new jobs and build a future from which everyone can benefit – he continued.

17:54

Trzaskowski on Supporting Minorities:

It’s Not Enough to Wave Flags, You Need to Have It in Your Heart.

– Today, respect must unite us. Respect for those who sometimes think differently, for those who hold different views, for those who have been attacked and ridiculed in recent years. For all of them – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Katowice.

– It’s easy to talk about, but I have always stood on the front line when it was necessary to help those who were attacked, those who were ridiculed. They searched for their grandfathers from the Wehrmacht and attacked teachers, and attacked doctors, and attacked everyone who tried to help. And minorities were ridiculed, ethnic minorities, but also sexual minorities were ridiculed, because there are always those in Poland who look for an enemy and try to divide us – he continued.

– Respect is the most important thing today. And if we are to seriously talk about politics today as a politics that is meant to solve people's affairs, that is meant to help all those who are attacked, who are weaker, and not to hinder those who are managing, then we must return to these fundamental values – he went on to say.

– It is not enough to talk about it, it is not enough to exchange gadgets, it is not enough to exchange flags, you need to have it in your heart, you need to have a strong backbone, in order to deserve to be elected to the highest offices, and only one who has respect for everyone can deserve it – he added.

18:05

Sikorski:

I Considered Being Foreign Minister a Greater Honor Than an EU Commissioner Role. I Hope the Opposition Appreciates This.

– I want to make the opposition aware that not only did I resign my mandate as a Member of the European Parliament, a position many of your colleagues aspired to […] I am probably the first Polish politician to have been offered the position of EU Commissioner on a platter. I considered it a greater honor to be the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs, and I hope the opposition appreciates this – said Radosław Sikorski in the Sejm, responding to questions asked after delivering his exposé.

18:10

Sikorski Responds to Accusations of Immigrants Being Dumped from Germany, Citing Czaputowicz:

Blame Your Government.

– Member of Parliament Kowalski saw fit to say that the Tusk government with Sikorski has created an ‘Uber for immigrants’ being dumped from Germany. I don’t know if Member of Parliament Kowalski wishes to pursue this, because it was your minister, your ministerial experiment; Minister Czaputowicz stated that the PiS government consciously and premeditatedly allowed migrants from Belarus into Germany – Radosław Sikorski said in the Sejm, responding to questions asked after his exposé speech.

– Just yesterday, Minister Czaputowicz confirmed that the number of returns, according to the Dublin Convention, from Germany to Poland of these very migrants, reached a record under Prime Minister Beata Szydło, so blame your government – he continued.

18:28

Sikorski:

I have the impression that after 35 years of free Poland, the potential for repatriation is ending

– I have the impression that after 35 years of free Poland, the potential for repatriation is ending. Those who wanted to return, have already returned, right? So now we have to facilitate other ways of obtaining Polish citizenship or settling in Poland and taking part in Poland's success – said Radosław Sikorski in the Sejm, responding to questions asked after delivering his exposé.

18:40

Nawrocki Accuses Supreme Audit Office of Political Motives:

Control at the Institute of National Remembrance Reaches Rock Bottom.

“The Supreme Audit Office’s (NIK) inspection of the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) has truly reached rock bottom. Among the approximately 3,000 questions are also inquiries such as: Why was it necessary to fully finance the trip of 46 individuals (i.e., family members of former female prisoners of KL Ravensbrück, second and third generation, members of the Association of Families of Female Prisoners of the German Concentration Camp ‘Ravensbruck’, a representative of the Ne Cedat Academia Association, scouts) to Ravensbrück for the 79th anniversary of the camp’s liberation, given that the IPN was only a co-organizer of this trip?” – wrote Karol Nawrocki on platform X.

“The question should be phrased differently: why are Poles paying for the work of several dozen NIK controllers who have been devastating another public institution for months, solely because its president is a presidential candidate?” – he continued.

18:47

Sikorski Responds to Critics in the Sejm and Discusses the Unanimity Principle:

You Haven't Mentally Entered the EU Yet.

– Is it against Poland's interests if there's no liberum veto on sanctions? It would be in Poland's interest, because we could impose tougher sanctions on Russia. Think about what you are saying – said Radosław Sikorski in the Sejm, responding to questions asked after delivering his exposé.

– Regarding sanctions, there is no threat to Polish sovereignty, and the gain would be that faster, tougher sanctions could be introduced. Something for something. This European deal [...] has always been about gaining more collective influence through more consistent action. Either you accept this, or you shouldn't be in the European Union. I see that you haven't mentally entered the Union yet – he continued.

– I believe that unanimity should absolutely remain forever in the area of [EU] enlargement – he went on to say.

18:49

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz:

The Coalition Must Survive the Presidential Election

– I am very careful with my words, although in various matters I sometimes fight very assertively. […] For me, there is simply no option, this coalition must survive [the presidential election] – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz in an interview with Grzegorz Sroczyński on RMF FM’s “Popołudniowa rozmowa” (Afternoon Conversation).

– We made a commitment to the voters that we would govern as a coalition for 4 years – this means that everyone retains their identity, because the voters voted for that identity, but at the same time is capable of cooperating with others – she continued.

18:57

What If Duda Vetoes the Health Contribution Cut? Pełczyńska-Nałęcz: If There's a New President, It Can Be Re-processed

– If the president vetoes it, then the law does not come into effect. This does not mean that after the presidential elections, should there be a chance that the next president would be willing to sign it, this solution [the health contribution cut] cannot be re-processed – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz in RMF FM’s “Afternoon Conversation.”

19:07

Sikorski:

Klich and President Duda Share Equal Responsibility for the Smolensk Catastrophe, Thus It's Not a Reason to Deny a Nomination

– For the umpteenth time, opposition MPs are asking me why Bogdan Klich is not an ambassador. He is not an ambassador because President Duda has not signed his nomination. If Rafał Trzaskowski wins, he will sign it, and then he will be an ambassador. Is that so difficult to understand? – Radosław Sikorski said in the Sejm, responding to questions asked after delivering his exposé.

– If he loses, he probably won't be, because you have convinced yourselves that Klich is responsible for the Smolensk catastrophe. I have asked publicly: show me a shred of evidence for Klich's responsibility for the Smolensk catastrophe, and I promise, I repeat […] I will not only recall him, but I will also file a report with the prosecutor's office against Klich, okay? But show me some proof – he continued.

– President Duda was also a minister at the time of the Smolensk disaster, and he was a minister in the office that organized this expedition, in the Chancellery of the President. Yet, you don't blame him for the Smolensk catastrophe. I declare to you gentlemen that Bogdan Klich and Andrzej Duda bear equal responsibility for the Smolensk catastrophe, which is zero – he went on to say.

– So, it is no reason to deny someone a nomination, and our head of mission […] Bogdan Klich is doing better and better, for example, he arranged another conversation between myself and the US Secretary of State – he added.

19:15

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz:

I Don't Understand Why Anyone Would Vote Against Housing Price Transparency

– This is a parliamentary bill [the Act on Housing Price Transparency], meaning it's not a coalition bill that was written into the agreement. There will be complaints [if someone doesn't support it], but for a completely different reason. Because there is a truly widespread public expectation, expressed in online parliamentary consultations where over 6,000 citizens participated […]. Over 90% of those who took part in these consultations decisively supported this bill – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz in RMF FM's "Popołudniowa rozmowa" (Afternoon Conversation).

– I cannot imagine why someone would vote against it. […] The point is for people to be able to easily, clearly, transparently, quickly, and conveniently understand what the asking prices are for developer apartments and to make the best decision for themselves in comfort and dignity. […] I absolutely cannot understand who would vote against this. Unless some lobby is breathing down their neck – she stated.

Sikorski on 3% of GDP for NATO Defense:

The President’s Overzealousness is Unnecessary. The US Asked Him and Me Not to Discuss It.

– Gentlemen, you are taking something out of context related to the Washington summit, where President Duda was eager to talk about 3% [of GDP for defense] at that time. In principle, he was right, but it was the United States that asked him and me not to talk about 3% then, because they wanted the summit to be a success, meaning to show that finally the majority of countries had met the 2% requirement – said Radosław Sikorski in the Sejm, responding to questions asked after delivering his exposé.

– Once we meet 2%, we will raise the bar, but one step at a time, and such overzealousness from the President is unnecessary – he continued.

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz:

Our Intention with Health Contribution Reduction is to Alleviate Micro-Entrepreneurs

– Our intention with reducing the health contribution is primarily to alleviate micro-entrepreneurs, meaning not IT professionals, but cobblers, tailors… – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz in the 'Afternoon Conversation' on RMF FM.

– I personally believe that this entrepreneur test should be implemented in Poland. That is, separating those who are truly micro-entrepreneurs from those who are de facto working under employment conditions – she stated.

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz Writes to Domański:

We Lack Sufficient Discussion on What Repolonization of the Economy Means.

– I agree with the direction. I believe that repolonization, meaning more Poland in the Polish economy, more Polish capital, is a good direction. However, we truly have insufficient discussion about what we actually understand by such slogans – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz in the “Afternoon Conversation” on RMF FM.

– That is why I have approached Minister Domański to convene a meeting of the Economic Committee of the Council of Ministers, dedicated precisely to the matter of repolonization. […] I sent the letter before the holidays, so there is still some time. I hope it will take place – she indicated.

– For my part, I believe such a conversation is very necessary. Firstly, so that we can see what different positions we hold, or similar ones within the coalition. And secondly, so that we can forge a common policy and coordinate the actions of the ministries – she added.

Nawrocki on the referendum proposal:

Today, the justice system lies on the ground.

Today, the justice system, under Donald Tusk, lies on the ground, and the president must pick it up from the ground. Poles cannot count on a fair trial today. There is a public discussion about neo-judges and paleo-judges. We don't know if we can count on a fair trial and a fair verdict, we cannot accept this – stated Karol Nawrocki in Kwidzyn.

If by February 2026 politicians do not reach an agreement with the Polish justice system, I promise you, I will make a decision and send a referendum request to the Senate, and we Poles will decide what the Polish justice system will look like – he declared.

Nawrocki on the Need for Cooperation Regarding Exhumations:

I Can Forget What Tusk and Trzaskowski Did to Us.

I have made the decision to help the government focus on the exhumations of Polish heroes in Volhynia. Yes, I do not respect the work of this government and what it is doing to my homeland, but there are things that are more important. Going back for Polish heroes. I can forget about what Donald Tusk and Rafał Trzaskowski have done to us and want to do to us, we must think about the Polish state – said Karol Nawrocki in Kwidzyn.

Nawrocki promotes his book:

I must disappoint you, I don’t tame sharks there.

I am coming to you with the book “Poland Strong Through History,” which talks about our national memory, and I will say right away, I do not focus on myself in this book. It is not a book that is a challenge of self-love. I must disappoint you, because I do not tame sharks or congers there, but simply say that my love is not myself for myself, but my love is Poland and Poles – stated Karol Nawrocki in Kwidzyn.

Jakubiak on Tusk:

I Voted for Him Twice and He Tricked Me Twice.

There are people I will not forgive. For example, I will not forgive Tusk. I will not forgive him for voting for him twice and being tricked by him twice, and I say this openly to everyone. I also fell for it, and he uses the exact same methods today. Exactly the same tricks, the same squinting of the eyes, and so on. I have him broken down to his components and I say, don't fall for it, he's a confabulator, a true professional politician, and damn it, you won't find any character there – stated Marek Jakubiak on the Zero channel.

Hołownia Proposes a 1-on-1 Debate with Trzaskowski Next Week

Szymon Hołownia, the Third Way candidate for president, at a meeting in the Czytelnik building – adjacent to Civic Platform's headquarters – proposed "to Rafał Trzaskowski to step out of his comfort zone." "In a sense, we are obviously rivals, but we are also people who, in many aspects, care about Poland similarly," said Szymon Hołownia. "Let's have a sparring session. Let's both prepare for what awaits us in the second round, and let's give people a taste of that second round," the Marshal of the Sejm explained, adding that "I will extend an invitation to Rafał Trzaskowski's campaign team for us to meet for a debate in Gdańsk on April 30th" – reports Onet.
