Nitras:

Peace with Putin on terms satisfying him is impossible, it would be another Munich

It is impossible to conclude peace with Putin on terms that would satisfy Putin, because it would be another Munich, and it is impossible to conclude peace in Ukraine over Europe's head. And yesterday's signal from, among others, the foreign ministers of the Weimar Triangle + Great Britain shows what Europe's position is on this matter – stated Sławomir Nitras in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Radio Zet.

08:14

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on the Deputy Minister's Statement from The Left:

I Wonder How One Can Be So Out of Touch with Facts.

– I speak about the matter, not about people, specifically to draw attention to the issue, not to a quarrel, but in this particular matter, Mr. Lewandowski's superior has spoken, who has admitted that these funds went to flood victims – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz in “Poranek TVP Info”, when asked about the words of the Deputy Minister of Development and Technology Tomasz Lewandowski, stating that not a single zloty from this year's budget for the housing construction program has been deducted.

– I wonder how one can be so out of touch with facts and it is unfortunate, because some scandal is being manufactured, instead of focusing on the fact that there is social housing, it is in our coalition agreement, people want it, we promised it, let's do it – she continued.

08:16

Nitras on Musk:

He Doesn't Inspire My Trust.

In my opinion, when I look, yesterday I saw Mr. Musk in the Oval Office, I don't feel calmer. I would like to feel that responsible people have influence on the American administration, and it seems to me that Mr. Musk is lacking in this regard. He doesn't inspire my trust – stated Sławomir Nitras on Radio Zet.

08:21

Nitras Asked About Hołownia:

Public Calls for Someone to Resign Don’t Strike Me as Elegant.

I wouldn’t say that [Szymon Hołownia should withdraw and support Rafał Trzaskowski]. Marshal Hołownia has the right to run in the presidential elections. He ran once, he has the right to run a second time, and public calls for someone to resign don’t strike me as elegant – stated Sławomir Nitras on Radio Zet.

08:21

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz:

Those Constantly Predicting Trouble for the Third Way and its Division Have Themselves Divided

– Those who constantly predict that something is wrong with the Third Way and that it will split, have themselves split, some have split, others have split, and we said from the very beginning: we are creating a cooperation between two different parties that differ on certain issues […] they know how to disagree in a civilized manner and they know how to agree – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on TVP Info.

– The Third Way is constantly moving forward with these differences – she continued.

08:27

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on Hołownia's Campaign:

It is happening, but one must remember it is linked to the duties of the Marshal of the Sejm.

– This campaign [of Szymon Hołownia] is happening, it is taking place, but one must remember that it is also [...] very clearly separated and linked to the duties of the Marshal, who really very clearly distinguishes where he is the Marshal of the Sejm and performs this function very well [...] and only after fulfilling this public function does he conduct his campaign. And I think that this campaign, especially in the last two weeks, has been visible and will become increasingly visible – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on TVP Info.

08:38

Nitras on expecting a declaration from Hołownia:

I harbour a deep hope that 2020 will not be repeated.

It seems unlikely today, but if a situation were to arise where Szymon Hołownia faced the PiS candidate in the second round, he [Rafał Trzaskowski] would, without batting an eyelid, have no doubts as to whom to support and how. I would expect a similar declaration from Szymon Hołownia. We all remember 2020, and I harbour a deep hope that 2020 will not be repeated – stated Sławomir Nitras on Radio Zet.

08:50

Nitras:

Nawrocki Lacks Presidential Qualities

Yes [I am sure Rafał Trzaskowski will win]. But there is something else I am even more sure of. Nawrocki lacks presidential qualities. It's evident at every step. Poles have a certain idea of what a president should be, and Nawrocki simply doesn't possess those traits – stated Sławomir Nitras on Radio Zet.

09:08

Nitras appeals to Glapiński:

This will help the Polish budget and the Polish economy.

A huge appeal to President Glapiński. This is not about petty squabbles, please lower interest rates, because it will help the Polish budget, the Polish economy, and Polish borrowers – stated Sławomir Nitras on Radio Zet.

We are appealing: Mr. President, it is time to think about the Polish economy, about the level of investment, about Polish entrepreneurs, and Polish borrowers – he continued.

09:18

Zandberg on the Prime Minister's Investment Proposals:

He Said Nothing.

Frankly, I was surprised by the Prime Minister's address at the beginning of the week. The Prime Minister announced that he would present a plan regarding investments and economic development, and afterwards, his speech could be summarized in one sentence: he said nothing – stated Adrian Zandberg in the program "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

I heard nothing concrete, no new investments from the Prime Minister, and that's the problem. Because it's not really about us finally building that one symbolic nuclear power plant, which PO-PiS [Civic Platform and Law and Justice] hasn't built for 20 years. We need 8 nuclear blocks before the coal-fired power plants shut down, before Bełchatów and other coal blocks, on which the economy stands today, are technologically exhausted – he continued.

09:19

Zandberg on the Deregulation Project Handover to Brzoska:

He Thought That Since He Doesn't Know What to Do, This Guy Will Do It for Him.

I have a feeling I've seen this conference before, back in 2008. Only then Brzoska was called Palikot, and a pro-state commission was appointed, which yielded nothing. I feel that the Prime Minister is replaying the same media stunts, but that content is again lacking – said Adrian Zandberg in Polsat News.

This is a curiosity to me; if I remember correctly, Rafał Brzoska hasn't won any elections in Poland. It is the responsibility of the governing politicians to have projects, proposals for changes. I saw the Prime Minister of the Republic who, after a long speech, admitted to his helplessness – he continued.

Then, at the end, he saw a billionaire in the room and thought: well, since I don't have an idea of what to do, maybe this guy will do it for me – he emphasized.

09:20

Zandberg on Sending Polish Soldiers to Ukraine:

We Shouldn't Push Ourselves to the Forefront.

The United Nations and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization are responsible for forming peacekeeping forces. Poland certainly should not make such decisions unilaterally, nor should it push itself to the forefront in this matter for obvious reasons. That is why international organizations and defense alliances exist, that is why we participate in them – stated Adrian Zandberg in Polsat News.

09:21

Zandberg:

We're in the dark on crisis resilience

I think that today the fundamental signal [from the US] for us is that we must take care of our resilience. This means that there may be more crisis situations, I'm not talking about open armed conflict, but various types of crisis situations. And in Poland, we are in the dark when it comes to resilience – said Adrian Zandberg on Polsat News.

I'm not just talking about areas like civil defense and population protection, where, unfortunately, Poland is not prepared today not only for conflict, but is actually unprepared to protect the civilian population, even in the event of natural disasters. We saw this recently when there were floods in the south of the country – he added.

09:23

Zandberg on Subsidizing Electric Cars Instead of Funding a Pharmaceutical Plant:

This is Unreasonable.

We should identify, and the government should have done so yesterday, those areas of the economy where strategic production needs to be relaunched, and do it. And what are we actually doing? In reality, there was money from the European Union to launch pharmaceutical plants in Poland, and the government gave up that money for launching pharmaceutical plants, and instead decided to allocate it to subsidies for electric cars. This is simply unreasonable – stated Adrian Zandberg on Polsat News.

10:41

"Enough of this circus." PiS attacks Tomczyk, speaks of "circus art"

Enough of this circus. In the Ministry of National Defence (MON), instead of people who deal with the art of diplomacy and security issues, we have individuals who engage in circus art. How else can one describe Minister Tomczyk, for example, who is a close associate of Rafał Trzaskowski. Just like him, he is ultimately the vice-chairman of Civic Platform (PO), responsible for infrastructure and logistics, and this man lost over 200 mines that were circulating around Poland – stated Andrzej Śliwka at a press conference.

Similarly, in the MON, we are dealing with people who, when they spoke, when they predicted something, it never came true – he continued.

It was Mr. Tomczyk, as spokesperson for Prime Minister Kopacz, a close associate of Rafał Trzaskowski and Donald Tusk, who said that Poland was capable of accepting any number of migrants, and what is happening? One could say that Mr. Tomczyk has changed his position, but his views on this matter have not changed – added the PiS MP.

There are no armament contracts that they talked about. Last year, PLN 20 billion from the Armed Forces Support Fund was not spent, despite the fact that these funds were secured. They did not spend these funds; we are dealing with an unprecedented situation after 1989 – said Śliwka.

11:27

Nawrocki's Deputy on Dragging the Institute into Political Games:

This Mass Attack is Caused by the IPN President's Entry into the Presidential Campaign.

We have no doubt that this mass attack is a result of the fact that the President of the Institute of National Remembrance, using his constitutional, democratic rights, has decided to run for the highest office in the Republic of Poland. The Institute of National Remembrance is being dragged, despite not being a participant in the election campaign, into the political games of forces that are hostile to the institute – stated Karol Polejowski, Deputy President of the IPN, at a press conference.

11:27

IPN Spokesperson: I Address All Liars and Manipulators – You Will Not Intimidate Us

I would like to direct my words to all liars and manipulators. If you think that by formulating your lies, manipulations, and insinuations, you will discourage us from our work, clip our wings, or intimidate us, I want to tell you that you are mistaken. The Institute of National Remembrance is an independent institution of the Polish state, which will consistently and with full determination carry out the tasks assigned to us as described in the IPN Act – stated Rafał Leśkiewicz, the spokesperson for the IPN, at a press conference.

11:38

Google CEO: We Announce Signing of Memorandum on Artificial Intelligence Utilization

Today, we are announcing the signing of a new memorandum on the utilization of artificial intelligence in the fields of energy, cybersecurity, and other areas. We anticipate that this will contribute to an 8% increase in Poland's GDP. We will also be expanding our training programs, which are ultimately intended to reach over one million Poles – stated Sundar Pichai, CEO of Alphabet and Google.

11:51

Tusk:

We Discussed Deregulation and Competitiveness. Google Can Also Be Part of This Grand, Ambitious Project

We are creating frameworks that will also enable greater engagement, including investment, from Google in Poland, but what is most important to us in this cooperation is not just access to the most modern technologies from the state's perspective – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a briefing with the CEO of Alphabet and Google, Sundar Pichai.

Of course, this has significance for state security. Here, I wanted to express my sincere thanks. This is not our first conversation, and Google is so heavily involved in cybersecurity. I don't need to tell anyone how important this is nowadays, especially here in Poland, so that in this technological race, Poland, also thanks to our cooperation, is one of the leaders in Europe. And thank you for these words – the Prime Minister continued.

These words are also important for the young people we spoke with, as well as for all young entrepreneurs in Poland, those from the smallest companies, from medium-sized ones. The words that Poland is a leader from Google's perspective, a leader in Europe, and the most interesting place for investment – he added.

We discussed deregulation and competitiveness. Google can also be part of this grand, ambitious project, which is the deregulation of the European and also Polish economy and administration – emphasized the head of government.

12:32

Nawrocki Gains NSZZ Solidarność Support. Programmatic Agreement Signed

On Thursday in Gdańsk, a programmatic agreement was signed between Karol Nawrocki and the National Commission of NSZZ Solidarność, represented by its chairman, Piotr Duda.

As part of the aforementioned agreement, the presidential candidate supported by PiS stated that if he wins the presidential election, he will, “using all available tools,” be “implementing a policy based on the values of dialogue and the social teachings of the Catholic Church.”

Karol Nawrocki declared that he would pursue policies aimed at, among other things, maintaining the current retirement age, the 13th and 14th pensions, and a growing minimum wage. He also stated that he would submit a motion to the Senate to hold a referendum on the Green Deal.

Piotr Duda, on behalf of NSZZ Solidarność, declared his support for Karol Nawrocki and stated that he would appeal for support for this candidacy to members and sympathizers of Solidarność, their families, and all citizens who share “common values.”

12:38

Kosiniak-Kamysz in Brussels:

Plan to Enhance NATO's Rapid Response Capabilities Adopted.

A plan to enhance rapid response capabilities has been adopted. We agreed, it wasn't easy, negotiations lasted until the last moment, but the NATO plan for rapid response capabilities has been adopted. In practice, this means an increase in protection capabilities, especially for NATO's eastern flank, particularly Poland, by all allied forces. Allied unity is emphasized and preserved here – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press briefing in Brussels.

12:47

Nawrocki:

I will strengthen the Social Dialogue Council and listen to its voice

– I am making a clear declaration that the Social Dialogue Council will be a forum for me, which as president I will strengthen and which I will listen to, and I will heed the voice of the Social Dialogue Council, because Poland needs dialogue today – said Karol Nawrocki during a meeting with the National Commission of NSZZ Solidarność in Gdańsk.

12:50

Nawrocki:

I Will Never Sign an Increase in the Retirement Age

– This hand will not sign an increase in the retirement age for women and men. I will defend bridge pensions in their 2024 form. I promise, I will not let the 13th and 14th pensions be taken away – said Karol Nawrocki during a meeting with the National Commission of NSZZ Solidarność in Gdańsk.

13:00

Nawrocki:

If We Win the Presidential Election, I Will Call a Referendum on the Green Deal and Eco-Terrorism

– I believe that with Piotr Duda and with you, with the members of Solidarity, when we jointly decide that I will become the President of the Republic and I will order […] a referendum on the Green Deal and eco-terrorism, I am convinced that together, thanks to Solidarity, Poles will also win this referendum and reject this eco-madness – said Karol Nawrocki during a meeting with the National Commission of NSZZ Solidarność.

– I will order this referendum, once we jointly win the presidential election – he continued.

13:02

Tusk Calls on Political Forces and Leaders:

We Cannot Afford Internal Squabbles Over Our Security.

The international situation is so serious that we cannot afford internal squabbles over our security. I call on all political forces and leaders to suspend disputes concerning the war and peace in Ukraine and to unite against threats from the East. Poland, Europe, and the entire West need full cooperation and solidarity today – Prime Minister Donald Tusk wrote on social media.

13:27

Trzaskowski Assures Poland Will Not Be Subject to Relocation Under the Migration Pact:

No Agreement.

– The migration pact prepared in the European Union, which PiS worked on for many, many months, we clearly state that there is no agreement for this pact to enter into force as far as Poland is concerned. We have done our part; we have accepted millions of Ukrainians – said Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference.

– As Minister for European Affairs, I clearly included in EU documents that if we take responsibility for European borders, if we help Ukraine, then of course no relocation should concern us, and that is exactly how it will be; these provisions will not apply to Poland – he continued.

13:31

Trzaskowski:

Ukraine Must Be Part of All Agreements; as NATO and the EU, We Must Be Included in This Process

– For now, there is no peace plan yet. All politicians responsible for European security will be in Munich this weekend, myself included, where we will discuss security issues. Even there, this plan will likely not be ready yet, so let's wait for a concrete plan – said Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference.

– It is clear to me that Ukraine must be part of all agreements. I cannot imagine any agreements being made over the heads of Ukrainians, and most importantly, all of us, as NATO and the European Union, must be included in this process. Because together, as the Western world, we should ensure Ukraine's security – he continued.

13:44

Szefernaker:

We're Entering the Next Stage of the Campaign

We're entering the next stage of the campaign. A few days ago, we announced that on March 2nd, our programmatic conference for the civic presidential candidate would take place in Mazovia. This conference will be filled with discussions, debates, but also an important programmatic speech by the civic candidate – stated Paweł Szefernaker at a press conference.

Following the programmatic conference, we will travel across Poland with the program, and this will be the third, next, planned stage of our campaign – he continued.

13:51

Szefernaker Announces Program Conference Slogan:

The Most Frequently Discussed Topics by Poles.

The program conference will take place under the slogan "Poland as a Sphere of Normality, Security, Development, Prosperity." These are the most important issues today that Poles want to talk about. After 14 months of the December 13th coalition's governance, these are the topics most frequently discussed by Poles today – stated Paweł Szefernaker at a press conference.

13:53

"wPolsce24 Operator Spat on Colleague'. Trzaskowski's Campaign Chief Publishes Footage

An absolute scandal! The operator from wPolsce24 spat on a colleague of Rafał Trzaskowski. Aggression, aggressive behavior, incitement, failure to adhere to the rules accepted by all other newsrooms – Wioletta Paprocka wrote on social media.

This is a mob. We will not accept this. It is a threat to all sides in the election campaign. We are filing a report with the police and the National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) – informed the head of Rafał Trzaskowski's campaign staff.

13:59

Czarnek:

Today, Ukrainians Need a Ceasefire

Today, Ukrainians need a ceasefire. Ukrainians don't want to wake up every morning in fear of whether a bomb is falling or not. Whether drones are flying or not, whether there will be shelling or not, whether a child will be able to go to kindergarten and come back, or not, because they might be killed. This is what matters most to Ukrainians today, after nearly 3 years of war, Russia's bestial attack on Ukraine – stated Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference.

Therefore, all actions, finally, there is the President of the USA who is taking real actions that have a chance to lead to the fact that soon, perhaps in days or weeks, bombs will no longer fall on Ukraine – he continued.

14:00

Czarnek:

I am immensely grateful to Trump for taking actions that have a chance to stop bombs falling on Ukraine

The first, fundamental condition for Ukraine to be able to develop is the cessation of hostilities, and in this sense, I am immensely grateful to President Trump for taking actions that interest the whole world and have a chance, because I don't know how they will end, to lead to bombs ceasing to fall on Ukraine and killing innocent Ukrainians – stated Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference.

14:11

Czarnek Announces Platform Dedicated to Election Protection:

First Tests Begin This Afternoon.

First tests of our digital, IT platform, which will serve many aspects of election protection, will begin this afternoon. After these tests, which I hope will be positive today, we will officially present this digital platform to you in the coming days and launch it – stated Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference.

Until the end of February, candidates for members of polling station election commissions and trusted representatives are registering in large numbers, for which we are very grateful. Until the end of February, all these candidates will be verified by our municipal coordinators, district plenipotentiaries, and regional plenipotentiaries. From the beginning of March, together with the election oversight movement, with whom we are also meeting again, we will begin a series of training sessions for candidates for members of polling station election commissions and trusted representatives. These will be in-person training sessions, online training sessions, as well as training sessions on our digital platform – he continued.

14:11

Czarnek:

The Future of Democracy in Poland Rests in the Hands of Nawrocki's and PiS Supporters

Karol Nawrocki’s entire campaign is based exclusively on contributions from voters, exclusively on contributions to Dr. Karol Nawrocki's electoral fund. We thank you for these contributions and we appeal for them. The future of political pluralism in Poland and democracy rests today in the hands of the voters and supporters of Karol Nawrocki and PiS – stated Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference.

14:20

Szefernaker:

Banaś's Actions Are Political; This Potential Candidacy Fits That Agenda

Regarding Mr. Banaś's candidacy. We have been saying for a long time that the actions taken by the President of NIK (Supreme Audit Office) are political in nature. We have experienced this many times, we have demonstrated it many times, and if this candidacy is true, because we don't know for sure, these are media reports, then it all fits into that political agenda – stated Paweł Szefernaker at a press conference.

14:26

Szefernaker:

No Tolerance for Provocation, Rudeness, and Aggression in Public Life

There is no tolerance for provocation, rudeness, and aggression in public life. Regardless of who is provoking and how they are doing it – wrote Paweł Szefernaker on social media, most likely referring to a recording published by the head of Rafał Trzaskowski's campaign team.

14:55

Nawrocki:

I Lament the Polish Government's Lack of Recognition to Participate in Ukraine Negotiations

– First and foremost, I lament that the Polish government, led by Donald Tusk, is not sufficiently recognized on the international stage to participate in negotiation talks [concerning Ukraine] – Karol Nawrocki told journalists.

– This is painful for me as a Pole; I represent the interests of the Polish state and will continue to do so, while today's government, which talks so much about its international relations, is neither the subject nor, even more so, the object of any negotiation settlements – he continued.

– This shows that Poland simply doesn't count on the international stage, and certainly is not a partner for the United States in these discussions. I believe that the future President of Poland faces a huge task of building relations with the United States and bringing Poland to the main negotiation table on matters concerning our immediate border – he went on to say.

15:39

Trzaskowski Announces Presentation of "Security Pact"

There is no more important matter than our collective security. In the coming days, I will hold a series of meetings on this issue. With experts, practitioners, and politicians. Both domestically and abroad. And today, at 4:45 PM in Biłgoraj, I will present a concrete proposal: The Security Pact – wrote Rafał Trzaskowski on social media.

17:00

Trzaskowski:

We Must Show Those Who Wish Us Ill That They Will Break Their Teeth on Us If They Attack

– Poland is safe, but historical experience teaches us that we must primarily focus on taking our fate into our own hands, investing in our security, and being as self-sufficient as possible – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Biłgoraj.

– Alliances are incredibly important, both in the European Union and in NATO, and we must strengthen these alliances. But we must also do everything to demonstrate to those who wish us ill that if they ever thought of attacking us, they would simply break their teeth on us – he continued.

– Putin is breaking his teeth on Ukraine and he must know that if he ever thought of destabilizing a country as strong, with such a tradition of resisting Muscovites, as Poland, he certainly wouldn't have enough strength. He must know that we will manage. He must know that we are ready for any scenario. He must know that it is we who are integrating Europe today, that it is we who are a model today when it comes to conduct, because we spend the most on our own defense – he went on to say.

17:15

Trzaskowski:

When Someone Speaks of a Coup and Russian Television Exploits It, I Feel Ashamed

– When I see someone speaking of a coup and then I see Russian television exploiting it, talking from morning till night that there is a coup in Poland, I truly, truly feel ashamed, because we cannot give our enemies arguments to undermine our security – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Biłgoraj.

– At least once on such a matter, everyone should seriously consider what they are saying and bite their tongue. Everyone should ensure that they speak with one voice on this matter. Security is paramount – he continued.

17:17

Trzaskowski announces Security Pact:

The President must ensure the National Security Council is convened regularly.

On matters of security, we should truly speak with one voice. I, if I were to become President of the Republic of Poland, but even today as a candidate, propose a Security Pact. An agreement of all political forces on the absolutely most important matters, because unity counts today. We must be together, we cannot be played against each other, we must together tell the whole world and demonstrate that there is consensus in Poland regarding strengthening our security – stated Rafał Trzaskowski in Biłgoraj.

Today, it is important that the president ensures that the National Security Council, in these difficult times, is convened once every 60 days, that all political forces in Poland and their representatives are invited, where a serious discussion will be held with our generals and our services about the security situation and how to prepare for it – he continued.

17:34

Trzaskowski:

We Must Show the New American Administration That Europe Is Ready to Be a Tough Partner

– Today, the European Union's budget must be structured differently. We need to spend more money together on defense. We must show the entire world that Europe is seriously taking security into its own hands, and we must show the new American administration that we, not just Poland, but the whole of Europe, are truly ready to be a partner for the United States. A tough partner, a strong partner, and a responsible partner – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Biłgoraj.

17:39

Trzaskowski:

I will present my advisors next week

– Today, above all, we need to show Americans that there is no other option than cooperation. That is the most important thing today. Today, we need to invite all the experts who know about this. I will present my experts, who will advise me, next week – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Biłgoraj.

17:40

Trzaskowski:

50% of Defense Funds Must Be Invested in Our Arms Industry

Today we are all investing in our security, today we have a leadership role, we are modernizing our army, we are also using funds that will be utilized by our arms industry, and this is incredibly important – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Biłgoraj.

I began my latest visit to your region in Dęblin; of course, we are all proud of our academy in Dęblin, but it is precisely there that huge sums from so-called offset will be invested in arms factories. We are buying helicopters from the Americans, and in return, there will be significant investments in our arms industry because we must become increasingly self-sufficient. 50% of all these funds must be invested in our arms industry – he added.

17:48

Tusk After Talks with European Leaders, Including Zelenskyy:

The Message Is Clear.

Following my phone calls today with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, RE President Charles Michel, Chancellor Scholz, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, and CDU leader Friedrich Merz, the message is clear: Ukraine, Europe, and the USA must be fully united and initiate peace talks – Prime Minister Donald Tusk wrote on social media.

17:52

Sikorski in Munich on NATO Reconfiguration:

These are Matters of Utmost Importance.

It appears that on the transatlantic agenda, the future of Ukraine is not the only matter, but also the reconfiguration of NATO. These are matters of utmost importance. I discussed them yesterday in Paris in the format initiated by Poland, in Warsaw, meaning Weimar+. We agreed that Europe will not cease to support Ukraine, and that any agreement concerning Ukraine must be made with its participation – stated Radosław Sikorski in a conversation with journalists in Munich.

17:52

Trzaskowski on Explaining the Necessity of a Just Peace for Ukraine to Americans:

I’m Counting on President Duda Here.

Today, when we hear various reports about what might happen in Ukraine, this is truly the moment when we should be united, when we should stop settling these internal squabbles and consider what is in our most fundamental interest. This is because there is no doubt that Ukrainians are fighting for our security and for our freedom – stated Rafał Trzaskowski in Biłgoraj.

I am also counting here, and I say this without any jest, I am counting on President Andrzej Duda here, because he has relations with the Trump administration, that we will all calmly explain to the Americans that this is in their interest, that a peace should not be made over the heads of Ukrainians, that we must all work together on this peace – he added.

18:05

Zelenskyy After Talking with Tusk:

Ukraine Must Negotiate from a Position of Strength.

I spoke with Prime Minister Donald Tusk. We discussed the conditions needed for a lasting and real peace in Ukraine and agreed that no negotiations with Putin can begin without a united position from Ukraine, Europe, and the U.S. – wrote Volodymyr Zelenskyy on social media.

I informed Prime Minister Tusk about my conversation with President Trump. We discussed the most important message and the need to coordinate the positions of all Europeans in order to achieve successful results for the entire Europe – emphasized the President of Ukraine.

I stressed that Ukraine must negotiate from a position of strength, with strong and reliable security guarantees, and NATO membership will be most beneficial for partners. Another key guarantee is a serious investment in Ukraine's defense industry – he added.

I also warned world leaders not to trust Putin's assurances of readiness to end the war – he noted.

19:40

Schetyna:

It's Important for the EU to Speak with One Voice

Poland, an important Polish voice, an important Polish political initiative, it's important that the EU can speak and does speak with one voice – stated Grzegorz Schetyna on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach" program.

19:51

Schetyna:

Americans Must Know They Aren't Safe Either With Russia's Current Policy

America, if it wants to be safe, because Putin, if he is an aggressor and wants to pursue Russian imperial policy, will fight against everyone. This is the essence of Russian policy, which has been aggressive and has always sought an enemy – stated Grzegorz Schetyna on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach" (Facts after Facts).

Americans must know that they are not safe either with such Russian policy. It's not as if America is exempt and will always be safe and remain a superpower – he continued.

Kamiński:

Why Should Germany, America, or Russia Talk to Us About Anything? Now It's Self-Interest and the Number of Cannons That Counts

– This is the new world order, so desired by the Law and Justice party, where national self-interests decide. And if national self-interests decide, then politicians from PiS have forgotten that the weight of individual nations will also be taken into account – said Michał Kamiński in "Question of the Day" on TVP Info.

– Why should Germany, America, or Russia talk to us about anything today? What do PiS MPs have to say to the world today, and what strength do they represent, that they can suddenly say we want to be at some table? No, those times are over, we have new times where national self-interest and the number of cannons and the strength of fists decide – he continued.

– In a new world where national self-interests decide, no one has the slightest reason to consider the interests of Poles, because why? Why should Donald Trump today, in a world where […] he is to consider only the selfish American interest, why should Donald Trump die for Ukraine, why should he die for Poland, and why should he do anything for us, Ukrainians, or anyone else? – he went on to say.

NATO and Article 5: Kamiński: We Must Deeply Believe the West Will Take This Clause Seriously

– We must deeply believe that the West will take this clause [Article 5 of NATO] seriously. Not in the same way as the security guarantees for Ukraine, which were once given in Budapest when Ukraine renounced its nuclear weapons – said Michał Kamiński on TVP Info.

Kamiński:

PiS Has Made More Pro-Ukrainian Gestures in Poland Than Anyone; They Can't Use Anti-Ukrainian Slogans, It Would Be Ridiculous

– Law and Justice cannot go to our compatriots with anti-Ukrainian slogans because no one in Poland has made as many pro-Ukrainian gestures as Law and Justice. Starting with the grain, through granting all possible privileges. This was all done by the Law and Justice government, so now they cannot go with any anti-Ukrainian slogans because they would be monstrously ridiculous – said Michał Kamiński on TVP Info.

Kamiński:

We Can Sulk About It, But the Runoff Will Be Between PO and PiS

– The runoff will be between PO and PiS, that's how it will be. We can sulk about it, I am sulking a lot, but that's probably how it will be – said Michał Kamiński on TVP Info.

Kamiński:

Nawrocki Will Pardon Kaczyński and All PiS Politicians, Trzaskowski Will Not

– The question that will hang over Poles in the second round will be whether President Nawrocki, if he becomes president, will do the same as Andrzej Duda and not even allow Jarosław Kaczyński to stand trial? Of course, he will, of course, Karol Nawrocki will pardon Jarosław Kaczyński and pardon all subsequent PiS politicians that the Polish state wishes to hold accountable. And it is equally obvious to me that Rafał Trzaskowski will not do this – said Michał Kamiński on TVP Info.

20:46

Kamiński on Nawrocki:

This Candidacy is Weak from Two Sides.

"This candidacy is weak from two sides. One-third of PiS voters do not want Nawrocki, at least for now, they don't want him, and on the other hand, these same voters are afraid, they know him so poorly, they are afraid that something might happen, that he might lose," said Michał Kamiński on TVP Info.

Kamiński:

After these elections, PiS or PO will cease to exist in their current form. The duopoly will end

– These elections in Poland will certainly change everything. For one reason […] because after these elections, either PiS or Civic Platform (PO) will cease to exist in the form we know so far. […] In my opinion, this duopoly will end, because neither PiS nor PO will survive a loss – said Michał Kamiński on TVP Info.

– If PO loses these elections, if Trzaskowski doesn't win the elections, and Tusk loses his position as prime minister, which will be possible then, with a very strong PiS, it will be possible to bring down this government, which has a slim majority, even before the elections. […] What happens if in June we have Trzaskowski, who is a losing presidential candidate, and Tusk, who is a former prime minister? There will be no Civic Platform – he continued.

– What if, in that same June […] PiS loses the presidential election. Jarosław Kaczyński put forward a candidate who did not win these elections, and PiS will have at least another 2.5 years in opposition. This will be a powerful shock within that party – he went on to say.

Szefernaker:

Nawrocki will be a president who demands from the government, who will be able to set conditions for the government

Karol Nawrocki will be a president who demands from the government. Rafał Trzaskowski will not demand from the government; he will sign. Dr. Karol Nawrocki, should Poles elect him, will be a president who demands from the government – stated Paweł Szefernaker on TV Republika.

If Dr. Karol Nawrocki becomes the President of the Republic of Poland, if the people elect him, he will have such a strong mandate that he will be able to set conditions for the government, that certain matters will be resolved, provided that the president's demands are also implemented – he continued.

Karol Nawrocki will be a president who says, ladies and gentlemen, we will be able to cooperate on the condition that prices in Poland for electricity, for electrical energy, will be lower – he added.

21:12

Szefernaker on Nawrocki's Victory:

These Elections Will Change the Political Dynamic.

We must do everything to ensure these elections change the political dynamic in Poland. We need to stop the December 13th coalition with a decisive victory for Doctor Karol Nawrocki, and I remind you that he is the only candidate who has a chance to win against Rafał Trzaskowski, a representative of the December 13th coalition – stated Paweł Szefernaker on TV Republika.

21:13

Szefernaker:

We've Already Collected Signatures, But Will Continue the Campaign for Some Time

We have long since gathered the required 100,000 signatures, although we have adopted a strategy that allows us to collect signatures until the end of March within the statutory deadline. We will, of course, end this collection at the appropriate time and inform the public that we will be concluding the campaign soon – said Paweł Szefernaker on TV Republika.

21:13

Szefernaker on Trzaskowski:

They Will Be Able to Put Anything Under His Signature.

When the representatives of the coalition come to power and have their own president. That is, this coalition, which rules today, the vice-chairman of this party, PO, Rafał Trzaskowski, will become president, they will be able to put anything under his signature. He will be signing whatever is truly important to the parties that make up the coalition – said Paweł Szefernaker on TV Republika.

21:19

Szefernaker:

Funds Raised in the Coming Days for the Campaign Will Be Allocated to the Program Conference

The next stage will begin on March 2nd with a program conference, which we have already announced. It will be a conference titled "Poland: A Sphere of Normality." The most important themes of this conference will be the security, development, and prosperity of Poles. We are talking about a conference, not a convention, because we still need funds for this campaign and we are collecting funds for the campaign – Paweł Szefernaker said on TV Republika.

At this moment, the program conference is most important to us, and all funds that arrive in our campaign account in the coming days will be allocated to the program conference. We want to do this seriously, but this also requires funds – he continued.
