Petru on the Prime Minister's Speech at the EP:

Tusk Showed Himself as a Realist

– There was Draghi's report some time ago, which pointed out that Europe has lost its competitiveness. The basic element of competitiveness is energy, and America has cheap energy, it can have even cheaper energy – said Ryszard Petru in “Rozmowa Piaseckiego” on TVN24.

– It seems to me that Tusk showed himself as a realist. I don't perceive this as a U-turn, but rather an entry – note – into the European mainstream, which talks about the need to be competitive. Because what is happening in Europe: we have very low growth, much higher growth is in the USA, Chinese cars are much cheaper than German ones, and German industry has stalled – he continued.

– We need to answer this: why has it happened that Europe has no growth perspective? Of course, Poland does not look too bad in comparison, but we need to have a growth perspective of 4% in the coming years, not just in one or two years – he indicated.

08:17

Berek on Trzaskowski's words:

It's not easy, but we need to work intensively, even faster.

I treat Rafał Trzaskowski's statement [that we need to fulfill our promises faster] as a voice that also resonates with our diagnosis. It's not easy, but we need to work intensively, indeed even faster. This expectation is echoing in many dimensions – stated Maciej Berek in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

Among other things, last autumn in your studio, Mr. Editor, I spoke about legislative acceleration, and there was legislative acceleration. With a smile, I can say that it was to such an extent that the Marshal of the Sejm was kind enough to point out, even to me personally, as someone partly responsible for this process, that it was a bit too much at once – he continued.

Ban on Alcohol Sales at Gas Stations? Sawicki: If Prohibition, Then Everywhere

– If prohibition, then everywhere; if we are to ban alcohol sales during night hours, then we should also ban it at gas stations, and also in various shops or various shopping malls – said Marek Sawicki in a conversation with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program „Gość Radia ZET”.

– This is precisely the inequality of economic entities that Krzysztof Paszyk is talking about […] it seems that something needs to be done regarding alcohol restrictions, and I am in favour of prohibition, but complete prohibition – he continued.

08:28

Sawicki:

If Prime Minister Tusk Doesn't Actively Engage in the Presidential Campaign, It Won't Be Good

"I believe that if Prime Minister Tusk himself does not actively engage in the presidential campaign, it won't be good," Marek Sawicki stated on Radio ZET.

"No, he doesn't necessarily [need to replace Rafał Trzaskowski], but he must also lend his face to this campaign, because I will remind you that in previous campaigns, the leader of PiS always participated in these campaigns and set the tone during the most important events," he continued.

"The government will not be a burden for Rafał Trzaskowski if it ramps up matters related to the economy," he went on to say.

"I say clearly: Donald Tusk must get involved in this campaign if he wants the president after the presidential elections to be a representative of the current parliamentary majority," he added.

08:30

Petru:

I Would Expect Our Coalition to Accelerate on Economic Matters

– I would expect our coalition – myself included – to accelerate on economic matters. Because these are the areas where Poles expect improvement – Ryszard Petru said in “Rozmowa Piaseckiego” on TVN24.

– Because by voting for us, they voted not only to remove PiS from power, but for improvements in many areas that were not working, and there was a conviction that PiS was the main impediment – he stated.

08:32

Sawicki:

We will support Hołownia in the second round. I have a sense of realism

– In the second round of the elections, we will certainly support Szymon Hołownia – said Marek Sawicki on Radio ZET.

– I don't have a sense of humor, I have a sense of realism – he continued.

08:38

Petru:

Health education, including sexual education, should be mandatory

– Health education should be mandatory. There is nothing worse than an optional subject. Only those who are interested in the topic attend it, meaning they already know something – said Ryszard Petru in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

– Of course, yes [the element of sexual education should also be mandatory]. One can always discuss what is in the curriculum, but there is nothing worse than sexual education found on the internet. It is much worse than any thoughtful education within the framework of a textbook – he continued.

08:39

Berek Responds to Marciniak:

The Head of the National Electoral Commission’s Statements Will Not Be a Benchmark.

Currently, the decision on whether these funds are to be disbursed depends on two elements: a Supreme Court ruling and a National Electoral Commission (PKW) resolution, not the opinion of the PKW chairperson, because we could find a statement from the same person, the PKW chairperson, on another television station where they said: ‘Everyone interprets the resolution adopted by the PKW as they wish’ – stated Maciej Berek on Polsat News’s “Graffiti.”

Please forgive me, but the statements of Judge Marciniak will truly not be a benchmark for what is or is not legal, because we are talking about the legality of the minister of finance's actions. Let these two legal elements materialize, and I have no doubt that the minister of finance will act in accordance with the law, but the actions of the proper state authorities must be taken in the proper form – he continued.

08:42

Sawicki:

I Advise Minister Kotula to Leave Social Morality Ideas Alone

– Fortunately, Ms. Kotula is not the entire government, and the minister often uses the phrase, as a minister, that the government is preparing something, she announces it, and then we discuss it. When there is a bill, you will ask me – said Marek Sawicki on Radio ZET, when asked if the Polish People's Party (PSL) would support the so-called gender identity bill.

– I strongly advise Ms. Kotula to really leave these ideas, so to speak, from the realm of social morality, alone. Because it sinks the candidates of this part of the political scene in the presidential elections – he continued.

– Certainly, perhaps it somewhat boosts Mr. Zandberg, if that is what she cares about, then of course I understand that – he went on, when pressed if this was a burden for Rafał Trzaskowski and Szymon Hołownia.

08:46

Petru:

The Wind Turbine Act is Ready. I'm Waiting for it to Emerge from the Government

– The Wind Turbine Act is ready. I'm waiting for it to come out of the Council of Ministers – said Ryszard Petru in “Rozmowa Piaseckiego” on TVN24.

– But why isn't it coming out? It was one of the first acts that Paulina Hennig-Kloska, still perhaps as a minister-elect, introduced into public debate. Fifteen months have passed, and you're telling me: “the act is ready” – replied Konrad Piasecki.

– There are two approaches. There's the Trump-style approach, where on the first day we issue 100 decrees, most of which will later be challenged by courts. […] We go in hard, we'll see what comes out of it, or we prepare the act so that we don't have to amend acts later, as PiS endlessly amended their hastily prepared laws – stated the MP from Poland 2050.

08:48

Berek on the National Electoral Commission Resolution:

The Minister of Finance is Counting on It.

I have seen it, I know the letter that Minister Domański sent to the National Electoral Commission (PKW). He did not send it to the Chairman of the PKW, he sent it to the PKW as a collegial body composed of 9 individuals, and interestingly, those of you who have been following this know that the PKW, when reviewing the letter from the Minister of Finance during a public session, showed: yes, we do not know what this resolution means – stated Maciej Berek on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

The members of the PKW disagreed on clarifying what exactly we had resolved and said: we need 2 weeks to present two concepts for this response. So really, with all due respect to Chairman Marciniak, this is a matter for the PKW, and we are waiting, the Minister of Finance is counting on the PKW to ultimately confirm and decide what it has resolved – he continued.

08:48

for PSL's Opposition to Mandatory Health Education:

We Will Still Fight for This." Sawicki Claims Reduction of Religion Classes is "Retaliation

– It's a bit from the realm of infantilism and retaliation, because since the Polish People's Party opposed mandatory health education classes for obvious reasons, an immediate response was needed – Marek Sawicki stated on Radio ZET, when asked if the reduction of religion classes was a good or bad decision.

– We will still fight for this; we believe that the practice that has developed […] that there are two hours of religion, should be maintained, and the state should pay schools for these two hours. Meanwhile, one hour should remain as a mandatory religion class, and the second hour should be available for use by the school council, or the local government, whether it be philosophy, ethics, or religion – let local communities have this choice – he continued.

09:06

Sawicki:

First, PiS Must Be Held Accountable for 8 Years in Power, Only Then Consider Co-governing

– First, PiS must be held accountable for 8 years in power, and only then can we consider co-governing – said Marek Sawicki on Radio ZET.

– Truly, when it comes to Law and Justice, this party must be cleansed of all those corrupt elements that we have encountered. Above all, Solidarna Polska and its entire, so to speak, entourage, which perfectly destroyed the Polish judiciary, and at the same time showed how public money is appropriated, pretending it is done in accordance with the law – he continued.

09:12

Sawicki:

Services should investigate if Orlen employees took biogas projects to competitors

– If today I read an interview with the CEO of Polska Grupa Biogazowa, effectively owned by the French company Total […] and I learn that they are in the process of implementing another 50 biogas projects in Poland, let me remind you that in the last two years of President Obajtek's government at Orlen, there was also information that Orlen was in the process of implementing 83 projects – Marek Sawicki said on Radio ZET.

– They completed three. Someone took those projects elsewhere. Perhaps Orlen employees took them to the Total group, and now they are implementing half of Orlen's projects, and it would be worthwhile for the services to actually look into whether Orlen employees took these projects to an economic competitor – he continued.

09:22

Sawicki:

I am surprised Judge Marciniak doesn't see the ruling of three Supreme Court chambers. The Extraordinary Control Chamber should be abolished

– I am surprised that the judge, Mr. Marciniak, does not see the ruling of three chambers of the Supreme Court from 2022 regarding this chamber [of extraordinary control], where these three combined chambers clearly stated that it is not a court. And it should be abolished. Madam President Manowska should de-register this chamber, and the three recognized chambers should remain. And Judge Marciniak somehow does not see this – Marek Sawicki said on Radio ZET.

09:41

"They Cannot Fight for Poland’s Basic Interests." Morawiecki on the US Decision and the "Incompetence of Tusk’s Team"

– Will Poland regress in its development? Tusk’s team is so incompetent that this is unfortunately highly probable. They have so damaged our relations with the USA that we have been placed on a list of second-category countries, the so-called Yellow List, and we must face restrictions on the import of American microchips – says Mateusz Morawiecki in a recording published on social media.

This is a blow to the entire Polish economy, but particularly to the Polish IT sector, which is extremely important in the current era of the digital revolution. As it turns out, they unfortunately cannot fight for Poland’s basic interests on the international stage – emphasized the former Prime Minister.

10:41

Duda in Davos:

Putin Should Be the One Asking for Parties to Sit Down at the Negotiation Table.

Yes, we all want a peaceful solution in Ukraine and for Ukraine as soon as possible, but we do not want a peace talk or a peaceful solution that would be some kind of false compromise – stated President Andrzej Duda in a conversation with journalists in Davos.

Vladimir Putin should be the one asking for the parties to sit down at the negotiation table for peace. Russia cannot win this war, this war must end with a just peace. A just peace is one that will lead to the restoration of international law, which will guarantee peace and tranquility for Ukraine in the future, and for us as well – he continued.

11:11

Duda:

It's Putin Who Must Ask to Sit at the Negotiation Table

No hasty decisions should be made here, and especially there can be no question of asking Vladimir Putin to sit at the negotiation table – stated President Andrzej Duda in a conversation with journalists in Davos.

No, it is Vladimir Putin who must ask to sit at the negotiation table. Russia must be brought to such a state, I hope that President Trump, as the head of the world's greatest superpower, not only militarily, but above all the world's greatest economic superpower, the largest global economy, and at the same time an extremely experienced figure in the financial and business world, an entrepreneur, will be able to find methods that will effectively impact, above all, the Russian economy and thus, without a shot fired, force Putin to be willing to make concessions – PAD continued.

12:06

Hołownia Responds to Trzaskowski:

First the Vetoed Law Must Be Re-enacted by the Sejm and Senate.

For a law vetoed by Duda to be re-submitted to the new President, it must first be re-enacted by the Sejm and Senate. – P.S. Duda also vetoed bad laws. Lex Czarnek, and a few others, I wouldn't sign either – Szymon Hołownia wrote on social media.

12:06

Błaszczak on the WOŚP Auction and a Visit to the Naval Shipyard:

A Mob of Russian Agents Will Come for a Tour.

– PGZ Stocznia Wojenna (PGZ Naval Shipyard) came up with the idea to offer a tour of the naval shipyard and stated in this announcement [for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity auction] that participants would be able to see the production process of frigates, meaning the production process of Navy vessels, which will be constructed according to rules that designate them as classified information. This means that regarding the construction of these vessels, and especially their equipment… the public should be very cautious when it comes to access to this information – said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

– That is, those who are legally bound to observe these principles, these rules, and thus to protect classified information, should be very cautious; these people are not – he continued.

– I can already imagine a mob of Russian agents coming for a tour of the naval shipyard, because it will be quite a prize. […] Allowing access to the naval shipyard for people who will be able to familiarize themselves with these procedures is an evident threat to our country’s security. I am asking publicly, what does the head of the Military Counterintelligence Service have to say about this? – he went on to say.

12:17

"We Are All Spectators of a Certain Show." Nawrocki on the "Green Rafal"

In his speech yesterday, Prime Minister Tusk, and in all his declarations about building relations with the USA, is completely inauthentic, just as the deputy of Donald Tusk, Civic Platform Vice-Chairman Rafał Trzaskowski, is inauthentic. We are all spectators of a certain show – stated Karol Nawrocki in Gliwice.

We see Rafał Trzaskowski, who is no longer the green Rafal from the Newsweek cover, who is an opponent of the Green Deal. We see Prime Minister Tusk, who insulted the US President and insinuated his cooperation with the Russian Federation, and who now intends to care for Polish-American, bilateral relations, as well as building the NATO alliance – he continued.

12:20

Błaszczak:

I would advise Morawiecki not to waive his immunity

– Of course, Prime Minister Morawiecki will make the decision he deems most appropriate. I would advise him not to waive his immunity because then the public opinion could learn that this whole speech is absurd, it is a political attack directed against the former head of government by those who rule Poland today – said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

12:45

Błaszczak on the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity and Support for the Healthcare System:

This Collected Money Doesn’t Matter.

– The National Health Fund is a fund worth 200 billion zlotys, and Jurek Owsiak collects 200 million zlotys annually. That's one thousandth, it's a promille. Therefore, this collected money doesn’t matter when it comes to the healthcare system – said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

– That the healthcare system is not working well in our country is the fault of the December 13 coalition and it is the fault of Minister Leszczyna. Jurek Owsiak will not fix this system – he continued.

13:09

Tusk Announces Decision on 800+ Benefit Changes

President Rafał Trzaskowski's proposal to pay the 800+ benefit only to those migrants, including Ukrainians, who actually reside, work, and pay taxes in our country, will be urgently considered by the government. I am in favor of it – Prime Minister Donald Tusk wrote on social media.

13:17

Ziobro Compares Costs of Museum Construction in Warsaw and Budapest:

The Prosecutor’s Office Should Clarify This.

– You can see the extremely complex structure of this museum; 60% of its area is underground, 40% above ground, with steel and glass constructions […]. This building in Budapest has received awards in the world's most prestigious architectural competitions – said Zbigniew Ziobro at a press conference.

– The question for Mr. Trzaskowski is why, at the same time this [modern art] museum was being built, he did not aspire with his project and this shack to these prestigious competitions, especially since in one of them, where […] it took first place, the champion was precisely the facility in Budapest […] which won out of 1500 projects from around the world – he continued.

– Among these 1500 projects […] was the proposal standing behind us here? And if not, why? Or perhaps because Mr. Trzaskowski knows he is building a shack and that it has some other, hidden purpose, other than beauty, functionality, and building Warsaw's prestige […]. Perhaps its purpose is for someone to earn gigantic amounts of money. In short, for someone to steal gigantic amounts of money – he went on to say.

– The cost per square meter of this very complex, modern building is half that […] of the cost of building this shack behind us. […] This cannot be explained rationally […] Trzaskowski certainly won’t explain it either. The prosecutor’s office should clarify this – he added.

– We have the right, and even the duty, to ask questions about who profited from this facility, what the criteria for evaluation were regarding the money that was invested here, and we promise that we will investigate this – he emphasized.

13:22

Ziobro:

I'm Recovering, I'll Have More Time to Deal with Giertych and His Pals

– I am recovering, Mr. Giertych wishes me good health, I am very pleased and thank him for these wishes, because I will have more time to deal with Mr. Giertych now as well, and his pals, because the fact that today the prosecution, under criminal pressure, blackmail, and fear that Giertych will become deputy minister or minister, is twisting the proceedings in his case, is of course a widely known fact, but the decisions made in such circumstances will be easy to challenge in the future – said Zbigniew Ziobro at a press conference.

13:42

Limiting 800+ for Ukrainians: Żukowska Says Tusk Will Push it Through with PiS and Konfederacja

“The Left will not lend its hand to this anti-refugee, irrational populism. But Tusk will push it through with PiS and Konfederacja” – wrote Anna Maria Żukowska on X, referring to the proposal to limit the 800+ benefit for Ukrainians.

15:37

Nawrocki Assures He Won't Hesitate to Call a Referendum on the Green Deal:

Social Guarantee to Reject Eco-Terror.

– I will not hesitate to use Article 125 of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland and call a referendum on the Green Deal, which will give me a social guarantee to reject this eco-terror, and you, dear citizens and residents of all of Poland, will decide what kind of Polish economy we want to build – said Karol Nawrocki in front of the Pokój Steelworks in Ruda Śląska.

– As long as there is no nuclear power in Poland […] which I will strive for, I recognize that our raw materials, our resources, the work of miners, the work of steelworkers is what the Republic of Poland needs – he continued.

16:16

Sikorski Discussed with the New US Secretary of State:

Marco, Many Challenges Lie Ahead.

The conversation with the new US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, showed that Polish-American friendship has strong foundations. Marco, many challenges lie ahead, but the alliance of Poland, Europe, and the United States will overcome them – wrote the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Radosław Sikorski, on social media.

18:21

Nawrocki on the Green Deal:

This Project Must Be Thrown in the Bin.

We cannot allow our Polish mining industry to be taken away until we lead Poland towards strong, flexible nuclear energy. Therefore, right at the beginning, I want to say and emphasize once again: No to the Green Deal, this project must be thrown in the bin – stated Karol Nawrocki in Tychy.

18:25

Nawrocki:

No to Ideology in the Daily Lives of Poles and in the Economy

– We expect normality and a situation where over Polish mining, Polish forestry, Polish metallurgy, heavy industry, but also over Polish forests, in Polish schools, education, upbringing, in our daily lives and in your homes [...] the guillotine of the word starting with 'i' – meaning 'ideology' – does not constantly hang – said Karol Nawrocki in Tychy.

– We must unequivocally reject this ideology from our lives, which seeks to change our stability, identity, and cultural heritage after a thousand years of the Polish nation's experience. No to ideology in the daily lives of Poles and in sectors of economic life – he emphasized.

18:29

Nawrocki to Civic Platform: Don't Deceive Poles That You Were Against the Green Deal

I am both disappointed and disgusted by the attempt to deceive Poles simply because there is an election campaign. Because I stand before you as I am and as I have been my entire life. Declaring my demands and programs, with which I identify, without treating the citizens of Poland solely through the prism of the upcoming elections. And the fact that sometimes Catholic crosses can be removed from offices in Warsaw, and then one can declare their attachment to Christian values. Sometimes the Green Deal can be introduced, and later one can fight against it – stated Karol Nawrocki in Tychy.

Let's compete as we are, don't deceive Poles by claiming you were against the Green Deal – he continued.

18:47

Nawrocki:

PiS had the courage to field a civic candidate to return Poland to the citizens

I am a civic candidate supported by PiS, by the political party to which over 8 million Poles cast their votes, and I am satisfied that such a large political community has supported a civic candidate. This is a clear signal that this political community and the PiS party have the courage, in the difficult situation of the Polish state, where we live in the greatest chaos of the judiciary that exists today, in 2025 – said Karol Nawrocki in Tychy.

In this situation, the political community I am talking about agreed, decided on a civic candidate, saying, let's return Poland to the citizens. Let them decide what Poland should look like — he added.

18:54

Will Kotula Resign? Żukowska: No, This Is Not an Offense of Such Magnitude

– I'm simply embarrassed; I don't know how to explain what happened that this false information [about Katarzyna Kotula's education] ended up on the Sejm's website… on numerous sites on the internet… such a situation should certainly not have happened – said Anna Maria Żukowska in an interview with Beata Lubecka on the program „Gość Radia ZET” (Radio ZET's Guest).

– The parliamentary questionnaire is actually submitted in the first term for a given MP; then you just click that nothing has changed, and in this term, perhaps the MP did not verify it, but I don't know what motivated her the first time – she continued.

– No, because this is not an offense of such magnitude. Granted, she behaved inappropriately, she provided untrue information, but it is not associated with any serious consequences – she went on to say, when asked if Minister Kotula would resign from her position.

19:01

Nawrocki with a Concrete Demand for Youth:

I Will Appoint a Youth Council under the President.

As President of the Republic, I will also appeal to the young, I will cooperate with them. I am almost convinced that I will also appoint a Youth Council under the President of the Republic of Poland, because we should listen to young people, especially in the 21st century, as the reality around us changes very dynamically – stated Karol Nawrocki in Tychy.

19:02

Nawrocki:

My Opponent Undermines the Foundation of Christian Values in the Polish State

– I don't think it has ever occurred to anyone before, for the first time to the Vice-Chairman of Civic Platform, who happens to be my opponent, to undermine the over thousand-year-old foundation of Christian values in the Polish state. […] This is not a matter of the grace of faith; it is a matter of certain foundations of our national identity and cultural heritage – said Karol Nawrocki in Tychy.

19:07

Limiting 800+ for Ukrainians? Żukowska: An element of Trzaskowski's campaign, it will legitimize the narrative of PiS, Mentzen, and Braun

– I am against it because it is a short-sighted solution, populist, and unfortunately potentially harmful in its social consequences, as it caters to an anti-Ukrainian sentiment that emerges in some social mood surveys. However, I do not believe that responding to every need revealed in social surveys and following it is what politicians or the government should do – said Anna Maria Żukowska on Radio ZET, when asked about limiting the 800+ benefit for Ukrainians and Donald Tusk's post on X.

– Politicians are also responsible for shaping public sentiment. After all, it was PiS that fostered anti-immigrant sentiments during the previous term, inciting against refugees, and we opposed it then. But this shows that if one wants to, if one is in power, one can influence public moods, rather than simply passively follow them – she continued.

– I state that this is a campaign action. Moreover, the name of a Civic Platform candidate is mentioned in this tweet. I have a question for the Prime Minister: will he also eagerly and urgently address projects proposed by other candidates, including those from the ruling coalition, Mr. Szymon Hołownia or Magdalena Biejat? – she added.

– This is simply an element of Rafał Trzaskowski's election campaign, but it will only affect reality by boosting and legitimizing the anti-Ukrainian narrative of PiS and the Confederation candidate, Mentzen, or even [… ] Grzegorz Braun – she concluded.

19:15

Nawrocki on Reckonings:

When Governing Isn't Working, It's Time for a Witch Hunt.

When governing isn't working, when dealing with prices and public finances isn't working. The rule of law isn't functioning, because Article 7 of the constitution is broken and lying on the ground, there's chaos in the justice system, then what must be done is to find a substitute topic. One must pursue, one must conduct a witch hunt, only from what I know, no one has managed to be convicted and put in prison. And the spectacle continues and will continue until they start governing and dealing with the lives of Poles, not with a witch hunt – said Karol Nawrocki in Tychy.

19:20

Żukowska:

The Civil Partnerships Bill Has Undergone All Consultations; Now it's Up to the Prime Minister When to Refer it to a Government Session

– I don't believe that [PSL politicians] will submit their own bill [on civil partnerships], because this bill is not needed by anyone. I mean, it's not needed by the PSL electorate, who don't want to talk about it at all, nor by the people […] who are currently in informal civil partnerships […] it doesn't meet the needs of either group – said Anna Maria Żukowska on Radio ZET.

– This bill, I'm talking about the government bill […] has already undergone all consultations. Now it's up to the Prime Minister when he will refer this bill to a government session and then to the Sejm – she continued.

– I think so [the bill will be passed in this term]. Unfortunately, I think […] that the Prime Minister will not decide to process this bill before the presidential elections, but there is a chance after the elections for it to be ready then. […] This bill absolutely must go to the Sejm this year – she went on to say.

19:25

Will Zandberg take votes from Biejat? Żukowska: I'm not worried, these are different voices

– No, I'm not worried, because I believe they are slightly different voices – said Anna Maria Żukowska in Radio ZET, when asked if she was not concerned that Adrian Zandberg might take votes from Magdalena Biejat.

– Adrian is more revolutionary and thunderous, and of course points out various shortcomings or things that could be done better. Meanwhile, he is not participating in this change, which is too slow, perhaps doing too little, but it is moving forward – she continued.

19:30

Żukowska:

We Will Abstain on the Incidental Bill, We Had a Number of Reservations

– Nothing will come of this [incidental] bill because President Duda will not sign it. We will abstain on this bill; we had a number of constitutional reservations concerning, for example, the three-day vacatio legis, legislative silence, or changes to these solutions [...] within a period shorter than 6 months before elections – said Anna Maria Żukowska on Radio ZET.

– The very fact that it is an incidental bill, meaning it appears for a moment and then disappears, could lead the CJEU to have a completely different stance on the later verification of neo-judges, which could be potentially dangerous – she continued.

Żukowska on Compulsory Health Education:

We Will Push This Matter.

– Yes, we will push this matter, but I think it won't happen starting from the next school year [...] because the Minister has already signed the regulation – Anna Maria Żukowska said on Radio ZET, when asked if The Left will fight for health education to be compulsory.

– We will return to this topic, I believe there is a chance to show that after this year, in which it will be non-compulsory, we can demonstrate its benefits and convince coalition partners that without this compulsory solution, simply fewer children will benefit from it – she continued.

19:36

Żukowska on Stanowski:

He Could Be a Dark Horse.

– I think he could be a sort of dark horse […] provided he actually runs, provided this happening doesn't simply end at the campaign signature-gathering stage – said Anna Maria Żukowska on Radio ZET, when asked about Krzysztof Stanowski.

Bosak:

Konfederacja and Mentzen Guarantee a Common Sense Revolution, Similar to What Trump is Doing in the USA

– For the past week, the eyes of many Poles, perhaps even the majority, have been focused on Washington, on the start of Trump's presidency. And in Poland, it is Konfederacja and Sławomir Mentzen who guarantee the revolution of common sense that Trump is currently undertaking in the United States – said Krzysztof Bosak in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of Events).

Who Encouraged Senyszyn to Run for President? Żukowska: Perhaps Neighbors

– I don't know, maybe neighbors did – said Anna Maria Żukowska on Radio ZET, when asked about Joanna Senyszyn's candidacy in the elections and her words: they asked me to run because they have no one to vote for.

Does the Confederation Have Contact with Musk? Bosak: Not Yet

– Do you have any contact with Elon Musk? – Piotr Witwicki asked on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of Events).

– As the Confederation – not yet – Krzysztof Bosak replied.

– Not yet? Are you preparing something, planning something? […] – the host pressed.

– I believe that the Confederation would be a natural object of interest for a businessman with political temperament like Elon Musk. However, to be honest, it's not our style of conducting politics to curry favor with some businessman, even the richest in the world, or in the USA, from across the ocean – said the Confederation politician.

"I Wish the PiS Politicians Good Luck." Bosak on Building a "Conservative, Politically Incorrect International"

– I am certain that within PiS there is a group of politicians who would very much like to play the role of those who will be Poland’s partners in what is forming in the Western world, which we could call a kind of conservative, politically incorrect international. Frankly: I wish them good luck. If Polish politicians build these contacts – all the better – said Krzysztof Bosak in “Gość Wydarzeń” on Polsat News.

20:03

Bosak:

Mentzen is campaigning in Poland, and I've taken on some of the burden of international contacts

– At the end of last year, I was at conferences in Madrid, Brussels, and Paris. In the coming months, I will also participate again in an international congress in Madrid. In the near future, next week – in Brussels – Krzysztof Bosak said on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń."

– We are simply entering this international politics. However, it requires time and energy to build these contacts. Sławomir Mentzen is conducting a presidential campaign in Poland, and I have currently taken on some of the burden of these international contacts – he stated.

Hołownia:

I Won't Join Those Chasing the Far-Right by Abandoning Their Values

"I will not join those who, abandoning their previous values, will now race with the far-right. This is some strange hysteria, that since Trump won in the States, everyone here is now racing to be a Trump tailored to our capabilities" – Szymon Hołownia wrote on X.

"If there is some group in Poland, probably a small one, of Ukrainian mothers whose children go to school, but they themselves cannot work, for example, because there is an illness in the family, or because they have to care for a large brood – I would not make their poverty a hostage to any election campaign" – the Marshal of the Sejm emphasized in his post.

20:11

Nowacka on Trzaskowski's Presidency:

Concern for an Equal Poland.

Rafał Trzaskowski's goal today is also to clearly state what there wasn't enough space for in the campaign: that as president, and I hope he wins, and I will do everything for that to happen, he will pay special attention to concern for an equal Poland. For leveling opportunities and for seeing, as president of Warsaw, how important leveling opportunities are and what he can do for the entire country – stated Barbara Nowacka on TVP Info.

20:11

Nowacka on Dziemianowicz-Bąk’s words regarding changes to 800+ program:

Perhaps she doesn’t know work has been ongoing for a long time.

The [project concerning the 800+ program] is being processed in the Ministry of Interior and Administration. This is work that has been ongoing for many months. Perhaps it’s because she doesn’t know [Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk] that work on this project has been underway in the Ministry of Interior and Administration for a long time. Of course, there’s a component being added, proposed by Rafał Trzaskowski, which is linking the 800+ benefit to employment – stated Barbara Nowacka on TVP Info.

20:13

Nowacka:

There's no atmosphere of a great surge today, like when Trzaskowski launched his campaign in 2020

There is a clear need for real, human concern, for actions benefiting, for example, smaller, excluded cities. It's a very long campaign, so there's also time to talk about all of this. There's no atmosphere of a great surge today, like when Rafał Trzaskowski launched his campaign in 2020. However, we also have years of reflection and experience behind us, and we know where we need to work harder – stated Barbara Nowacka on TVP Info.

Morawiecki Confirms Renouncing Immunity

I have renounced my immunity because I know that truth, law, and justice will prevail! And the era of unfounded, politically motivated accusations will end – Mateusz Morawiecki wrote on social media.

20:19

Bosak:

Trzaskowski is a Political Chameleon

– PO politicians have hidden their actual program in order to try and win the presidential election with Rafał Trzaskowski, who is a political chameleon, saying different things now, for the second time, than what he truly believes in – said Krzysztof Bosak in “Gość Wydarzeń” on Polsat News.

20:35

Budka on PiS's Efforts to Gain Trump's Support:

They're Left with the Street and Abroad, It Looks Pathetic.

Speaking in the language of our political adversaries, they are left with only the street and abroad. It looks very pathetic when someone in Poland counts on coming to power by being supported by the Trump administration, which, to put it mildly, is not very favorable to Europe – stated Borys Budka on the program "Fakty po Faktach" (Facts after Facts) on TVN24.

It's evident that Donald Trump prioritizes rivalry over cooperation, and yesterday Donald Tusk clearly stated that Europe must rely on itself, must independently take care of its security, maintain good relations with the United States, but remember that Donald Trump wants to compete; he does not have a cooperative nature, he wants to impose certain things – he continued.

20:36

Budka:

Trump is a populist, but he is a pragmatic man

Donald Trump is a populist. He came to power thanks to very populist slogans, and what he is doing now can raise serious concerns, even among the Polonia community, but he is also a pragmatic man, so he likes to talk with the strong. This is why Europe must be united and strong, because then it is treated seriously – said Borys Budka on TVN24.

20:36

Budka on Błaszczak’s Purchases:

He Behave Like a Child in a Toy Store, Wanting to Buy Every Toy.

Unfortunately, the previous government left us in a situation where it would be best to renegotiate these agreements, to get more know-how, to have offsets in Poland. Minister Błaszczak, when he was responsible for this, it seemed like he entered like a child into a toy supermarket, just making things up, “I want this, I want that,” without looking at Poland’s interests, in terms of our economy, without looking at offsets – stated Borys Budka on TVN24.

20:36

Budka:

ETS Revision Should Be on the EC's Agenda

First and foremost, we are talking about a revision of the approach to the ETS system, which is very important and should be on the European Commission's agenda. This is because it is one of the elements that shapes energy prices. Today, the steel, chemical, fertilizer, and cement industries are suffering – said Borys Budka on TVN24.

20:37

Budka:

Abuses Will Be Accounted For, But We Are Acting Lawfully

All they had to do was not steal, that's a very simple maxim, which former Prime Minister Beata Szydło probably spoke about. Well, if we have figures like one of the Morawiecki government's ministers, who, as the prosecution alleges, hired officials to run his own campaign. Illegal envelope elections, as it turns out, Sasin is trying to wriggle out of it and blame it on Morawiecki – Borys Budka said on TVN24.

We have a group of people who have been feeding off the state for 8 years; masks, respirators, all these scandals concerning abuses, they will be accounted for, but we are acting in accordance with the law – he added.

20:37

Budka:

Domański Has No Choice, He Cannot Pay Those Who Broke the Law

Minister Domański has no choice, he cannot pay those who have violated the law. The fact that PiS previously appointed such a special chamber through Ziobro and his colleagues, which will protect them if necessary, it does not have judges, there are clear rulings from European courts that this is not a court in the sense of European law. Therefore, the matter is obvious to me. If there is no ruling, then Minister Domański cannot disburse these funds – said Borys Budka on TVN24.

20:37

Budka on the shouts of 'don't fear Tusk':

If PiS has a candidate whose first argument was muscle power, then there's nothing to be surprised about.

If we have a candidate for president, designated by Kaczyński and a PiS candidate for president, whose first argument was muscle power and the gym, then it's hard to be surprised that there are such shouts – stated Borys Budka on TVN24.
