At 10:00 AM in Białogard, Civic Coalition presidential candidate Rafał Trzaskowski will meet with the local Union of Pensioners, followed by a press conference at 11:15 AM. Subsequently, at 2:00 PM, he will hold a meeting with local government officials in Świdwin, and at 5:00 PM in Gryfice, he will meet with the "Gryfickie Serca" association, involved with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP).

At 3:30 PM in Wieliczka, a meeting will take place with PiS-backed presidential candidate Karol Nawrocki and residents and local government officials. At 6:00 PM, he will meet with residents of Myślenice.

At 10:00 AM, a committee is scheduled to reconvene to consider the so-called "incidental law project." In practice, this concerns the Supreme Court resolving cases related to this year's presidential elections. Theoretically, it is possible that the Sejm will consider the proposal from Poland 2050 during its session starting tomorrow.

At 12:00 PM, the Council of Ministers will address, among other items, a draft law proposing a ban on the sale of all types of e-cigarettes, including those not containing nicotine, to individuals under 18, and a ban on smoking nicotine-free e-cigarettes in places such as schools and children's playgrounds.

Also at the same hour, the Constitutional Accountability Committee will hear testimony from 6 individuals regarding the preliminary motion to hold Maciej Świrski constitutionally accountable before the State Tribunal.

Meanwhile, at 5:00 PM, the Pegasus investigation committee will consider evidentiary motions in a closed session.

President Andrzej Duda is in Switzerland, participating in the World Economic Forum in Davos. At 10:00 AM, he will attend the opening of the exhibition "Your Country First – Win With Us." At 4:30 PM, he will meet with the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Milojko Spajić, at 6:30 PM with the CEO of PPF Group, Jiri Smejc, and at 7:30 PM, he will attend a dinner hosted by the head of the World Economic Forum, Klaus Schwab, and his wife.

Furthermore, at 1:00 PM, the Chamber of Extraordinary Review and Public Affairs of the Supreme Court will consider PiS's complaint against the National Electoral Commission's resolution to reject the party's annual financial report for 2023.

– There is uncertainty because there is no certainty as to how President Trump will want to solve various problems in a complicated, war-torn world, so we need to wait calmly – said Tomasz Siemoniak in an interview with Mariusz Piekarski on “TVP Info Morning”.

– I am not one of those people who believe we are on the verge of some drama. The world is based on interests, on values, on decades of certain policies, and we remember Donald Trump’s previous presidency; the main directions of policy – transatlanticism, NATO, market economy, democracy – were maintained during his presidency – he continued.

– I think there is more hope [in me after Trump's inauguration]; we should always live with positive emotions. I watched President Trump's speech with great interest, because the USA has a huge influence on what happens around the world. The USA is a superpower, it is a great economy – stated Cezary Tomczyk in an interview with Marcin Fijołek for “Graffiti” on Polsat News.

– We should remember that we, as Europe, meaning as Poland, also have enormous strength. Today, the world will be rearranging itself somewhat, so if you ask me whether it's concerns or hopes, I would say there are many question marks. Poland is today a country that, in a sense, is a star student in terms of what Donald Trump talks about – he continued.

– We are talking about security and the economy being the most important things for Poland and Poles, and for example, Donald Trump also talks about defense spending. We are where he sets the goals, because we are today the star student in Europe in this regard – emphasized the Deputy Minister of National Defense.

– Together with Deputy Prime Minister Gawkowski, we plan to present an election protection plan by the end of January, so that citizens can be certain that state services are doing everything to ensure that no one threatens the decision of who will be president in Poland, which belongs to Poles without any interference – said Tomasz Siemoniak on TVP Info.

– We are drawing conclusions from the experiences of other countries […]. We will present [the plan] by the end of January, we are working on it, and it has a primarily digital dimension – he continued.

– Trump has been announcing it [a meeting with Putin] for many months. I am convinced that such a meeting will take place, but I am also convinced that it is not as Trump said, that the war will end today, because that is simply impossible, and that is also a question mark that hangs over us. – I am for restrictions, but I believe that this needs to be thoroughly discussed, weighing various interests, because next to gas stations, we have hundreds of 24-hour alcohol shops. Therefore, gas station owners rightly point out that yes, let's limit alcohol sales in general, and not just target stations – said Tomasz Siemoniak on TVP Info, when asked about a ban on alcohol sales at gas stations.

– I am curious about these discussions. I am always in favor of considering safety and the police's opinion in such matters – he continued.

– Let us remember that Orban is unfortunately a pro-Russian politician today, but let us also remember the strength of Hungary. – Poland is a power in Europe today, a country that we should see as a future European power, and these are not empty words. – I would be cautious, however, for PiS politicians, but also for any other party, because what may seem like an opportunity today, may turn out to be something completely different. – Members of the National Defense Committee are submitting a request for an additional session of the committee concerning the threat posed to Poland and Poles by the unsupervised movement of over 200 anti-tank mines within Poland. We believe that serious negligence on the part of the Ministry of National Defense (MON) and its leadership occurred in this matter. Therefore, we expect the Deputy Prime Minister, the Deputy Minister from Civic Platform responsible for infrastructure, the head of the Internal Security Agency (SKW), and the commander of the Military Police (ŻW) to appear at the committee session – stated Mariusz Błaszczak at a press briefing.

– We consider [Rafał Trzaskowski’s] statement to be a campaign move, and therefore PiS says 'let's check.' – Of course, we must ensure that there is no discrimination, that we tell him [Donald Trump] that trade between Europe and the USA benefits everyone. We must also persuade him to see security issues through our prism – said Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference in Białogard.

– When Donald Trump’s associates visited, or when I speak with his associates, that’s precisely what I talk about: for example, that Ukraine needs support and that Trump should not allow any end to this conflict that could weaken the USA – he continued.

– Yes, but that's what the residents of Warsaw expected, and Rafał Trzaskowski does want to be president of all Poles here, and we know that the whole of Poland is not just Warsaw – Dorota Łoboda said on the program Sedno Sprawy on Radio Plus, responding to Jacek Prusinowski's assertion that Rafał Trzaskowski "suddenly became a conservative," "earlier he was one of the more progressive politicians in the [KO] camp, and now he has become a conservative anchor."

– This is outrageous. If Mr. Nawrocki is so radical in his views, I would expect him to be equally radical in his actions, which, to put it mildly, leave much to be desired. If such practices were to come into effect, firstly, they would be contrary to the Constitution, and secondly, they would mean that the ruling majority would try to eliminate opposition MPs in order to increase their room for maneuver, for example, to enable the rejection of a presidential veto – said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

– Therefore, our missions in the USA will reach out as quickly as possible with information to Polish citizens who feel concerned in any way by this new situation. They will all be able to count on help from consular officials, as well as from our government – he declared.

– Every Polish woman and every Polish man will be warmly welcomed here in their homeland. Everyone will find their place in their homeland. Here, everyone can find their America. "We were completely against extending social privileges to foreigners… it is very interesting that at this moment, Rafał Trzaskowski has started mimicking our demands or slogans. It's interesting if anyone will believe that this chameleon has truly changed his views," Krzysztof Bosak said on RDC.

"He is saying that now, suddenly, if someone [from Ukraine] is not working, they shouldn't receive [800+], right? But somehow, he is the vice-chairman of Civic Platform and they haven't introduced such a bill. But we will write this bill for them and submit it to the Sejm soon," he continued.

"Our legal department is already writing it. Before the elections, absolutely, it's a matter of days," he added.

– The reason for this regulation is as follows: the approaching presidential elections, the disastrous candidate of the Civic Coalition, and therefore a regulatory tool is being prepared to silence the right. Indeed, the Digital Services Act was meant to protect users. We are seeing a very clear caricature of the implementation of this act – said Jadwiga Wiśniewska at a press conference.

– Today, the Council of Ministers adopted three draft amendments concerning this market [e-cigarettes]. […] These drafts, on one hand, stem from the government's decision to protect the most vulnerable […] the second source […] were EU commitments – said Maciej Berek at a press conference.

The presented drafts include, among others, provisions on the prohibition of selling any electronic cigarettes and refill containers with liquid to persons under 18 years of age. Minors will also not be able to purchase nicotine pouches.

„The new regulations will also introduce a ban on smoking non-nicotine e-cigarettes in selected public places, including, among others, schools, playgrounds, and public transport stops. The ban will therefore be identical to the provisions concerning tobacco products and nicotine e-cigarettes” – the Ministry of Health announced in a statement.

Also foreseen are, among others, a ban on advertising e-cigarettes and nicotine pouches, strengthened supervision over the composition of non-nicotine liquids and nicotine pouches, as well as a ban on the sale of heated tobacco products with characteristic flavors, such as fruit.

– Would I want [the subject of health education] to be mandatory? Of course, I would want it to be mandatory. The decision has been made, announced by the Minister of Education. I am convinced that children and young people […] who participate in these classes will tell their peers: listen, this is a really cool subject – said Izabela Leszczyna at a press conference.

– The Minister of Finance can disburse state budget funds to an electoral committee after the conditions stipulated in the regulations are met. In our current situation, there are two such conditions: the examination of the electoral committee's complaint by the Supreme Court, followed by a resolution by the National Electoral Commission. Neither of these conditions has been fulfilled – Maciej Berek stated at a press conference.

– The electoral committee's complaint has not been examined by an authority that, in light of European case law, would have the status of a court. This is not solely about judges. We have rulings from the chambers of the CJEU and the ECHR […] particularly from the Court of Justice of the European Union, which states: this chamber does not have the status of an independent court; it is not a judicial body – he continued.

– On December 30th, the National Electoral Commission unfortunately included in its resolution the entire significant legal dilemma concerning whether this matter was handled by the Supreme Court or not. I believe it was extremely prudent for the Minister of Finance to publicly ask the National Electoral Commission for clarification on the meaning of its resolution – he added.

– If the legal conditions are met, no one will have the slightest doubt that the transfer of state budget funds to the electoral committee can and must be executed; however, these conditions must be fulfilled. […] These funds are indeed secured in the budget; there simply needs to be a legal basis for their disbursement – he concluded.

– Today, the Supreme Court, ruling in the Chamber of Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs regarding an appeal by the Law and Justice (PiS) party against a resolution by the National Electoral Commission (PKW) rejecting the party's financial report, found the complaint against the PKW resolution to be justified. Consequently, in light of the regulations of the Electoral Code, the PKW will now be obliged to adopt a resolution accepting the financial report – informed the Supreme Court spokesperson, Aleksander Stępkowski.

– I wouldn't want to scare all of you, to scare grandmothers and grandfathers and retirees, but since something has happened, our logic, our intellect suggests that it can happen. I, on the other hand, as a civic candidate for president here in Myślenice, want to clearly tell all of you that as President of the Republic of Poland, I will never sign a bill increasing the retirement age for Polish women and men – stated Karol Nawrocki in Myślenice.

– If both the president and the prime minister of the Republic of Poland were from the same political and party environment that already has a track record of raising the retirement age, meaning if Donald Tusk's deputy, i.e., the vice-chairman of Civic Platform, became the president of Poland, then Polish seniors unfortunately cannot feel safe – he continued.

– This is a great responsibility and immense trust from a political party to be ready to bet on a candidate who has never been and is not a member of a political party. This means that today, in 2025 and in the upcoming elections, the PiS political circle was ready and is ready to hand the Republic of Poland over to the citizens, to the state, by proposing that I take on the responsibility for the nation's concerns, opinions, and unresolved issues, which I am to take to the Presidential Palace – stated Karol Nawrocki in Myślenice.

– We know there are attempts to review the internet, there are attempts to review fan displays at stadiums, because too much information about Polish patriotism and Polish heroes appears there. We will not let our freedom be taken away, neither online, nor on television, nor at meetings, nor in the stands – stated Karol Nawrocki in Myślenice.

– Ordering the removal of Catholic crosses from Polish offices is a step too far. Because it's an erasure of who we actually are and what defines us. We should never allow ourselves to succumb to this pressure that is being directed at us – stated Karol Nawrocki in Myślenice.

– We should strive, and I, as President of the Republic of Poland, will strive, to create a Patient Service Center, to integrate all the electronic systems that are already functioning – e-prescriptions, e-sick notes, and all the things that have somehow been reformed in a general sense before October 15th – stated Karol Nawrocki in Myślenice.

– I want to be a presidential candidate. I want your 100,000 signatures, but I don't want to be president. […] A campaign like Poland has never seen before will begin, and it will be a campaign that the Polish political class has absolutely deserved – said Krzysztof Stanowski in an online "address".

– They make jokes out of us every day, lie to us every day, deceive us with promises every day, and don't even pretend they want to fulfill them. […] I don't promise anything. I only promise good fun – he continued.

Stanowski admitted that he lacks the experience or competencies needed to be president, but he wants to "show the election campaign from the inside" and "take part in a debate on TVP in liquidation.".

– He is a brave man; one could say the United States has found itself a president for difficult times. We observed him in the previous term, and I think now he will go all out even more, because this is his second and simultaneously last term. However, Donald Trump’s transactional approach to politics is, paradoxically, good news for Poland – stated Piotr Zgorzelski on the program “Gość Wydarzeń” on Polsat News.

– The Minister of Finance should receive a concrete and clear instruction from the National Electoral Commission on whether to disburse funds or not. This legal mess that the National Electoral Commission has produced reflects very poorly on the majority of this composition – stated Piotr Zgorzelski in Polsat News.

– One cannot speculate in this manner today on such important matters as the financing of political parties. A party is a constitutional entity, and we established by consensus that a certain percentage of funds falls to a given party. So, if you ask me whether this brings PiS closer to disbursement, I don't know – he continued.

– Guided by common sense and a sense of justice, I believe that PiS is not entitled to this money. They are not entitled to it because during the election campaign they used state institutions, they used the entire state apparatus to conduct the election campaign – said Piotr Zgorzelski in Polsat News.

– No, I don't fully agree with this regulation [on one religion per week], because I believe that the procedure or the work on these regulations could have been more careful and imbued with good will. I know that Minister Nowacka has good will, sometimes perhaps the people delegated by her to act are too zealous – stated Piotr Zgorzelski on Polsat News.

– I spoke with her, I know she is a person of good will and she simply implements many of my remarks regarding her cooperation with the episcopate in various fields, so I have nothing bad to say about her here – he added.

– What will be the role of the United States? Will, for example, the format involving defense ministers from around 50 countries – as it wasn't just NATO states – to aid Ukraine, initiated by the former Secretary of Defense, be continued? We have many issues to resolve with the new administration – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in an interview with Monika Olejnik on TVN24’s “Kropka nad i” (The Dot over the i).

– I am in favor of building the strongest possible relations, and Poland has its good credentials: both its defense spending and its purchases in the United States. These are the two things that legitimize us before the United States in a very strong way – he stated.

– It is also important in a new opening of relations to rectify the mistake the previous administration made in its final days: for instance, the issue of access to microprocessors, to chips, where Poland was restricted. I believe this was a mistake by President Biden's administration – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TVN24's "Kropka nad i" program.

– Completely incomprehensible. I am full of hope that the new administration will review this, and I am optimistic that this decision will be changed – he stated.

He assessed: – Such things are not done; this is not a strategic partnership, a strategic friendship, which we agreed upon. Therefore, I am surprised that President Biden's administration made such a decision at the end. Here, I look with optimism towards the new administration.

– I believe that will be the case, knowing President Trump's fondness for Poles and our relationship: that a Pole who has been diligently working, for example, on a construction site for many years, will be treated differently than a drug dealer standing on the street corner – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TVN24's "Kropka nad i" (Dot over the i), referring to President Donald Trump's announcements regarding the deportation of illegal migrants.

– I would weigh these two situations a bit. I presented them quite vividly specifically so that I could see a difference – he added.

– Polish affairs should be settled within the Polish house – after all, this is a slogan our predecessors proclaimed for the entire 8 years they governed. Why should anything be discussed in the European Parliament, which we are a part of, let alone the transfer, and moreover, untrue, information, lies, and slander from across the ocean – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TVN24’s “Kropka nad i” (The Dot Over the ‘i’).

– This is unpatriotic conduct. I believe some intellectual disorientation has occurred, far-reaching. And certainly, a disorientation of values, patriotic ones and love for the homeland – he continued.

– It is Poles who decide who stays in government, who is president, not anyone else – he pointed out.

– He is a joint candidate [Szymon Hołownia], so we will be involved in the campaign. We expect the campaign staff to present its assumptions and strategy. Certain elements are already being implemented, which we can see and which are interesting. But I am open to cooperation and also to supporting the campaign, absolutely – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TVN24's "Kropka nad i" [Dot on the i].

– Certainly, members and sympathizers of the PSL will support this campaign. And if broader involvement is needed – we are open to Szymon Hołownia's ideas – he declared.
