Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on Efforts to Secure Further KPO Funds:

Double Pace," "Super Ambitious Plan.
- We are submitting [KPO applications] at a double pace, because normally countries that are implementing their KPO submit applications sequentially. We submitted the first one now, we will submit the second and third, and we want to submit the fourth and fifth immediately. Why? Because there is a delay, and unfortunately, time waits for no one - said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden." - As for the second and third, I would say that 99% we will submit as planned, meaning everything is going exactly according to the designated schedule, and we expect funds by the end of the year. For the fourth and fifth, we have a plan, it's a super ambitious plan, to submit them roughly at the time we receive the next funds, meaning the second and third payments, in order to receive the next payment at the end of the first, beginning of the second quarter - she continued.

08:10

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on Poland 2050's Stance on Health Contribution:

Absolute Priority is Micro-Entrepreneurs.
- The Polish disorder [...] has caused such burdens for some, especially for micro-entrepreneurs, that instead of fostering Polish development, it is starting to kill Polish development. There is no development, there are no contributions. Therefore, a balance must be found between ensuring the healthcare system absolutely does not suffer [...] and, finally, to relieve micro-entrepreneurs - said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on TVN24. - When it comes to Poland 2050's stance [...] the absolute priority, the red line, are micro-entrepreneurs, that's the basis - she continued.

08:15

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz:

I hope the PSL and all proponents of subsidized loans will see where this bad policy has led
- We believe that the 0% loan is not assistance for borrowers because it raises housing prices, and this is not just my subjective opinion [...]. I hope that the PSL will look at the data, and all those who are proponents of loan support, meaning loan subsidies, will see where this bad public policy has led, not only in Poland, but we have also analyzed such solutions across the entire European Union. This is bad public policy; it raises housing prices - said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on TVN24.

08:16

Kosiniak-Kamysz on the Object Near Olsztyn:

Most Likely a Weather Balloon.

- This will be shown by a thorough investigation, but most likely it is a weather balloon that fell, and today the police will present further findings on this matter. Of course, in such a situation, state services must always act, investigate, and we will be presented with full information - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on Radio Zet.

- Our systems, neither today nor a few days ago, have registered any objects of a military nature, so everything indicates that it is a civilian object - he continued.

08:22

Kosiniak-Kamysz on Disinformation as an Element of War:

A Great Danger.

- It is part of the hybrid war being waged against Poland. Disinformation is often the most effective element of war because it spreads the fastest and reaches the most people. It is a great danger, a great challenge for, for example, Polish schools, for the entire society, on how to separate truth from lies - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on Radio Zet.

08:24

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

I have complaints against Germany regarding Nord Stream 1 and 2

- Complaints can be and should be made, and I also have these complaints against Germany regarding Nord Stream 1 and 2. To be honest, this is an issue that has outraged the entire world, especially after the outbreak of war in Ukraine, but previously Poland clearly pointed out the risks associated with it, and I think most of us have always clearly feared these strong economic ties. They ended disastrously - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on Radio Zet.

08:29

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

I Don't Think Anyone in Poland is Against Patriotic Upbringing

- We want to implement our election program. I don't think anyone in Poland is against patriotic upbringing and against patriotism that is for everyone, not for the chosen few, that unites. This proposal is not against anyone, but the establishment of a National Education Commission, where social circles will be represented, where it will operate beyond the current term, where there will be representatives of administration and local governments, which will outline long-term plans, is one of our commitments to over 90% of non-governmental organizations - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on Radio Zet.

08:41

Kosiniak-Kamysz on the Nearest Person Status Act:

We Are Presenting a Solution That Will Not Only Be Accepted But Will Come into Force

- The President of the Republic of Poland is Andrzej Duda, who has very clearly defined views on this matter and in his campaign said that he would sign the nearest person status act. It is we who are presenting such a solution, which will not only be accepted in parliament but will come into force. The same applies to matters related to the principles of abortion - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on Radio Zet.

08:44

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

Hołownia as a Joint Candidate Has Huge Chances of Victory

- It's a very good idea to have a joint candidate. I'm glad the Prime Minister also brought this up. For us, of course, the basis for discussing a joint candidate is support for Szymon Hołownia. I believe that as a joint candidate, he has huge chances of winning the elections – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on Radio Zet.

09:32

"I Don't Know How We Would Implement It, the Coalition Partner Has Undermined It'. Mucha on the PSL's Bill
  • The ministry has defined the educational priorities for the 2024/2025 academic year. Second among these priorities is civic and patriotic education, so I have the impression that Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz was not fully informed about how we implement this patriotic education. A separate subject is not needed here; such things as patriotic education must be taught holistically, meaning, in fact, in every subject, during every conversation, our form of patriotism should be present – stated Joanna Mucha in an interview with Roch Kowalski on the program ,,24 pytania” on PR24.
  • Currently, I don't fully see how we would implement this idea. The coalition partner has, so to speak, somewhat undermined it. I truly don't fully see how we would implement these demands. I advise against it, I truly deeply advise against creating some list of excursions to certain places – she continued.

09:32

Mucha:

I have the impression the PSL would accept Kotula's bill if it weren't for the name 'registered partnerships'
I have the impression that we are unable to agree on the words, not on the substantive basis of what we want to achieve. Because I have the impression that the PSL would be able to accept the same bill that is being proposed by Minister Kotula, if it were a bill that did not mention the name 'registered partnerships' – Joanna Mucha said on PR24.

09:33

Mucha on Zgorzelski:

I Wish He Would Answer His Phone.
- I’ll say it directly, it’s such an unintelligent statement that my teeth ache when I hear it. Ukrainian children are entering the Polish system, they will learn in Polish, following the Polish curriculum, they will learn together with Polish children – stated Joanna Mucha in PR24. - I would truly wish that Mr. Marshal Zgorzelski would answer his phone. I think he could learn significantly more about this process than, as facts indicate, he has learned from some gossip or fake news – she emphasized.

11:11

Bochenek on PiS's Parliamentary Campaign:

The Auditor’s Opinion Confirmed the Actions Were Lawful.
- All sorts of spectacles are being organized, all sorts of pseudo-verdicts are being handed down, accusations, insinuations that PiS allegedly took actions during the parliamentary campaign, actions contrary to law, illegal actions. Well, ladies and gentlemen, PiS submitted, regarding our entire parliamentary campaign, appropriate explanations to the National Election Commission, submitted a specific report, a report on the entire election campaign. What’s more, this report was examined by an auditor appointed by the National Election Commission, who, after examining the financial report of the parliamentary campaign, unequivocally stated that all of PiS’s actions concerning the parliamentary campaign were conducted in accordance with the electoral code, in accordance with the law – stated Rafał Bochenek at a press conference.

11:49

Tusk:

A Very Important Day for Polish-Indian Relations
This is a very important day for Polish-Indian relations. Today, we have the great privilege of hosting the Prime Minister of India on the eve of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries. 45 years after the last visit of the Prime Minister of India to Poland, which took place in 1979. This is a sufficient illustration of the significance of this visit, and of your presence here today. It is undoubtedly proof of the improving relations between our states, of the importance for the entire region, and I will not exaggerate if I say for the entire world, between India and Poland – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a joint press statement with the Prime Minister of India. - There is no conflict of interest between us. We have always understood each other well, despite the distance, different traditions, and histories. But it is precisely history that has taught, as the Prime Minister emphasized today, and as I did during our one-on-one conversation, it has taught our nations how important it is to respect rules, borders, territorial integrity, state sovereignty, and the rule of law – he continued. - The whole world admires India for the consistently democratic nature of its government, which is not something common in that part of the world – emphasized PDT.

11:54

Tusk:

Indian Prime Minister Confirmed Readiness for Personal Involvement in Peaceful, Just, Swift End to War

- We discussed today that we have elevated our relations to the level of strategic partnership. This is not just about definitions, about words. Behind this lies our determination and readiness to cooperate in many areas. We began by clarifying our positions on issues that are currently gripping the entire world - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a press briefing with the Prime Minister of India.

- I am very pleased that the Prime Minister confirmed his readiness to get involved, his personal involvement in a peaceful, just, swift end to the war. We are both convinced that India can play a very important and positive role here, which is significant, this declaration especially since in a few hours the Prime Minister will be visiting Kyiv - he continued.

12:49

PiS's Financial Report: Bogucki Presents a 'Critically Important Document'
- We have a critically important document that has never fully seen the light of day, in terms of the media, in terms of public opinion. This document was not prepared by politicians [...] it is an expert document prepared by the National Electoral Office, meaning people who often have 20 years of experience and it is difficult to accuse them of favoring one political option or another, given that for 20 years, operating under various governments, they have simply acted objectively as state officials - said Zbigniew Bogucki at a press conference. - This is an analysis prepared by the National Electoral Office specifically for the State Electoral Commission. [...] It is best if I give the floor to those who wrote this opinion [...] namely the National Electoral Office - he continued. Further on at the press conference, Zbigniew Bogucki quoted **selected fragments** from the document, including: "The provisions of the Electoral Code define the conditions for accepting a report without reservation, accepting a report indicating shortcomings, or rejecting a report, and make the decision on the report dependent on the actions of the electoral committee." "Therefore, the objective influence of actions by another entity on improving the electoral chances of an electoral committee cannot be a basis for rejecting the report or indicating shortcomings, as long as these actions were carried out without agreement with the electoral committee."

EU Affairs Committee Issues Opinion on Candidate for EU Commissioner

The Parliamentary Committee for European Union Affairs has given a positive opinion on the candidacy of Piotr Serafin for the position of Member of the European Commission for the 2024-2029 term.

13:58

Nitras on Bogucki's Conference:

This is Exactly the Whole PiS.
So, according to PiS politicians, PiS politicians, running from the PiS committee, stole public money for the PiS campaign without agreeing it with the PiS electoral committee. And therefore, PiS is innocent. This is exactly the whole PiS - Sławomir Nitras wrote on social media.

15:46

Announced by Tusk:

Plenty of Positive Surprises." Budka on the Results of the "New Agenda
- This is a matter of properly implementing the guarantees we gave, for instance, regarding the protection of women's rights. It's about convincing our coalition partners of several good solutions. However, I have always followed the principle of talking as little as possible about expectations beforehand and as much as possible about the results of discussions - Borys Budka said in a statement to TVN24. - Certainly, this agenda is substantial, but appropriate communications will only be issued after the meeting [within the ruling coalition]. I am convinced that this new opening, which Prime Minister Donald Tusk spoke about, and this new agenda will bring plenty of positive surprises and many positive resolutions in the near future - he continued.

18:17

Tusk on Morawiecki's Help in Locating Michał K.; Morawiecki Calls it "Political Revenge by Tusk's Gang"
A court has decided. An arrest warrant will be issued for the former head of the Government Agency for Strategic Reserves. He is Morawiecki's right-hand man, a wheeler-dealer of respirators and generators. Wherever he is hiding, justice will catch up to him. Mateusz, we are counting on your help in determining Michał K.'s whereabouts. - Prime Minister Donald Tusk wrote on social media. Earlier, Mateusz Morawiecki wrote: - Today we have another act of perfidious political revenge by D. Tusk's gang. This time, the victim was the former president of the Government Agency for Strategic Reserves, Michał Kuczmierowski. - The prosecutor's office's request for arrest has two dimensions: 1. it constitutes an act of political revenge against people who worked for our government; 2. it will cause paralysis of the state in the future when quick decisions need to be made in crisis situations - emphasized the former prime minister.

19:46

Trzaskowski:

Morawiecki is Panicking

- It is clear that the Prime Minister [Morawiecki] is panicking because this man [Michał K.] was one of his closest associates, if not even a friend. Of course, both these claims are entirely untrue - stated Rafał Trzaskowski in a conversation with Dariusz Ociepa on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń".

19:47

Trzaskowski:

The Prosecution is Independent Now, Unlike During the PiS Era

The prosecution is independent at the moment, unlike during the PiS era. Secondly, there are procedures for actions in an extraordinary situation, and the problem is that these officials simply did not adhere to those procedures – stated Rafał Trzaskowski in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

19:49

Trzaskowski on Campus:

It Was Never the Place for Political Declarations About the Future.
Campus Polska Przyszłości was never a party undertaking. We took great care of that and we are very proud of it. There have always been political threads, and always will be, of course, but also social ones, and this is not the place, and it never was the place, for any political declarations about the future – stated Rafał Trzaskowski in “Gość Wydarzeń” on Polsat News.

19:51

Trzaskowski on Hołownia:

We Count on Him Joining Us, But He's One of the Busiest People.

Of course, we also sent an invitation to the Marshal [Hołownia]. We are counting on him joining us all the time, but the Marshal is one of the busiest people in Poland, so perhaps this year we won't manage to join the Campus guests. We'll see – stated Rafał Trzaskowski on Polsat News's “Gość Wydarzeń”.

19:57

Siewiera on the alleged agreement between Zelensky and Duda regarding the destruction of Nord Stream 2:

These are insinuations. The author presented no evidence.
- It was faith, because these accusations can only be based on faith. It's good that they are coming from a private individual [...] naturally, this is very harmful, these are insinuations, the author of these claims has not presented any evidence, nor has he even indicated any suggestions, based on what information, based on what premises he bases such claims - said Jacek Siewiera in "Fakty po Faktach" on TVN24, referring to reports of an alleged agreement regarding the attack on Nord Stream 2 between the President of Ukraine and Andrzej Duda. - Undoubtedly, driving a wedge between allies in NATO, allies in the European Union supporting Ukraine is only in the interest of the Russian Federation, that is obvious. [...] Absolutely no such knowledge existed, and the author himself does not even indicate what the alleged agreement would entail, so these are insinuations - he continued.

20:04

Siewiera:

It's Good That the Prime Minister Uncompromisingly Addressed Insinuations Damaging the Head of State
- Although all governments were strongly opposed to the construction of Nord Stream, it must be honestly admitted that the right-wing's policy in this regard was very uncompromising. The policy, especially from the position of the then-President of the European Council, required a more diplomatic approach, I understand - said Jacek Siewiera on TVN24. - Today, it is good that the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland has also very uncompromisingly addressed any insinuations damaging the head of state, and hence my comment on consensus - he continued.

20:14

Siewiera on Ammunition Production:

The Question Is, What's Stopping the Government?
- Of course, such conversations took place - said Jacek Siewiera on TVN24, when asked if there was a discussion at the beginning of the war about whether Poland had ammunition. - There was an order for 50,000 rounds of ammunition from a company that produced 155mm ammunition with German participation in a large concern. And this order was canceled because it was not fulfilled. In 2023, out of 50,000 rounds of ammunition, we didn't see a single one. The subcontractor of this German company did not execute this order, perhaps fearing that this ammunition would end up in Ukraine, perhaps for other reasons. Such a situation must never happen again in the Republic, and for this reason, the National Ammunition Reserve was created - he continued. - There is still no order, and indeed, for the last 6 months, the question is, what is stopping the government from sitting down at the table, because the government side has all the arguments - he went on to say.
