Hołownia on Presidential Elections:

We Still Have Time to Select the Best Candidate.
We have a lot to do for the voters who trusted us to feel that change. We still have time to select the best candidate for president - wrote Szymon Hołownia on social media.

Zgorzelski on Mucha's Statement Regarding Ukrainian Education and Bandera:

A High Level of Naivety.
- In my opinion, there was a significant level of naivety in that statement, because one must understand that Ukrainian identity is built on the ideas of Bandera - said Piotr Zgorzelski in the "Morning Conversation" on RMF FM, when asked about Joanna Mucha's words: "there is a group of Poles who, when thinking about Ukrainian education, see only Bandera". - I simply want to warn against succumbing too easily to the belief that the Ukrainian package will not contain content that may have anti-Polish elements - he continued.

Zgorzelski on the Ministry of Education and Limiting Religious Education:

Perhaps Palikot's Ghost Hangs Unnecessarily Over This Building.
- Today, limiting religious education through a regulation is, in my opinion, stirring up unnecessary emotions, because just as well, if the government side and the church side, who I believe are ready to talk about religious education, were to sit down, they would certainly reach some consensus - Piotr Zgorzelski said on RMF FM.

- Perhaps Palikot's ghost hangs unnecessarily over this building, but I believe in the minister's good intentions - he continued, when asked why the Ministry of Education does not want to talk to the church side about religious education.

Zgorzelski on Patriotic Education:

We Don't Want to Introduce a Subject, We Want to Foster School Socialization.
- I heard yesterday that it won't be the case that the minister will determine the routes of school trips. Nobody wants the minister to determine the routes [...] in reality, these trips are often under the proud banner of, let's say, going to see Wawel, but first we'll see McDonald's, then the Zoo, and to Wawel, if there's enough time, we'll go or we won't. [...] Sometimes it happens that these trips don't have the value they could have - said Piotr Zgorzelski on RMF FM. - We don't want to introduce a subject [...] we don't want to interfere with the fact that there is a subject in school called Civic Education, we want to introduce [...] socialization of the school, organizations like the Polish Scouting Association, the Polish Republic Scouting Association, volunteer fire brigades, they all, these organizations, can be carriers of this - he continued.

Hołownia Would Be the Best Candidate for the Entire Coalition, as He Has the Sharpest Conservative Profile. Zgorzelski on Presidential Elections
- As Trzecia Droga, we support Marshal Hołownia in his decision [to run in the presidential elections], and he is our candidate. [...] In my opinion, Szymon Hołownia is more conservative at his core than his political team. [...] He holds conservative views, but he can probably reconcile them with the needs of his constituents, so in my opinion, he would have no problem reaching the conservative electorate - said Piotr Zgorzelski on RMF FM. - If there were to be a joint candidate, and Szymon Hołownia were in the package of candidates, I would argue that he would be the best candidate for the entire coalition of democratic parties, because he has the sharpest conservative profile, and Polish society will not disappear by May - he continued.

Bocheński:

This Government Doesn't Govern. It Trolls and Tweets
This government doesn't govern. It trolls and tweets. A hundred ministers collect salaries for who knows what. There are no ambitious plans; a lack of vision; no new laws. The only thing they serve up is a deceitful mush designed to obscure public discourse. An embarrassing spectacle at the taxpayer's expense – Tobiasz Bocheński wrote on Twitter.

Nitras on Spending on Elite Sports:

Poland Has Nothing to Be Ashamed Of.

- If we compare these expenditures with those of other most developed countries in the world, including those that win the most medals at the Olympics, then I would like to state very clearly - Poland has nothing to be ashamed of, we really allocate a lot of money to elite sports - stated Sławomir Nitras at a press briefing.

- Today, after the Olympic Games, I hope in an atmosphere of calm, of certain reflection, we must seriously consider how this money is spent, how effectively it is spent, to what extent this money benefits athletes, national teams, coaches, the people who serve athletes, work with them, coaches, and to what extent this money is allocated to other purposes, and thus does not bring the expected effect - he continued.

Mucha Responds to Czarnek:

This is the height of impudence.

- This is the absolute height of impudence because Mr. Czarnek has clearly not noticed that during his tenure, several dozen, or even dozens, of Ukrainian schools were established in Poland. And the minister either didn't see them, and I'm saying several dozen because they are outside the Polish education system. We are actually unable to say how many children there are, how many schools there are. During his time, during Czarnek's time, Ukrainian schools were established where no one controlled what was being taught in these schools – stated Joanna Mucha in the program ,,Graffiti” on Polsat News.

- All Ukrainian children, from September, who are staying in Poland will be subject to compulsory schooling, they will go to Polish schools. If they do not go to Polish schools, they lose the 800+ benefit. They will follow the Polish curriculum, they will learn exactly the same as Polish children learn – she added.

PSL Aims to Steal PiS's Electorate," Mucha on the Patriotic Upbringing Act

- I understand it in a political sense, I don't understand it in a substantive sense [the PSL's patriotic upbringing act]. In a political sense, I am convinced that the PSL at this moment wants to take away the electorate from PiS, that electorate which increasingly sees the theft, the deceit, the dishonesty, and is looking for a political party to which they could transfer their political preferences. This is not cynicism, because the PSL is also, as it were, opening up its political offer to this group, so I don't treat this as cynicism, I treat it as a very directional formulation of its political offer for this group of voters, and from the perspective of our entire large coalition, this is good – said Joanna Mucha on Polsat News.

Ministry of Education Signs Agreement with CBA to Investigate Irregularities in "Willa Plus" and "Investments in Education" Programs

- Yes [we, as the Ministry of Education, have signed an agreement with the CBA for cooperation], but we have the "Investments in Education" program to account for, for which 100 million zlotys were spent. The "Willa Plus" program is another program where significant millions were spent. We, as the ministry, lack certain tools because we are aware that this person knew that person, that this person was related somehow, but we, as the ministry, lack the tools to be able to scrutinize these types of arrangements. In my deep conviction, these programs were rigged competitions. Today, I have filed notifications to the prosecutor's office in several cases – stated Joanna Mucha on Polsat News.

Nitras Announces Letter to the Polish Olympic Committee (PKOl) Requesting Financial Information
Today, I have sent a letter to the President of the Polish Olympic Committee requesting this information. Just as sports associations, and all their presidents, whom I must sincerely thank for providing this information – in my opinion, and I believe also in the opinion of the public – the PKOl should act in a similar manner – stated Sławomir Nitras at a press briefing. - The Polish public has the right to know the individuals who were in Paris at public expense. At the same time, based on information I have obtained from members and authorities of the PKOl, I would like to inform you that during yesterday's meeting of the PKOl authorities, it was stated that President Piesiewicz, along with several other members of the PKOl presidium, receive salaries from the PKOl. Simultaneously, the authorities, presidium, and management admitted that there is no resolution from the presidium or management that would decide that President Piesiewicz or other members were entitled to remuneration – he continued. Request to Present Salary Levels - Today, I am also appealing to President Piesiewicz with a request to present detailed information regarding his salary level, the salary levels of other presidium members, and the documentation based on which such remuneration was granted. Full Financial Information Requested - I am also requesting the presentation of full financial information concerning the funds that the PKOl received from the state budget, as well as from SSP (State Sports Centers). I am requesting detailed information on how much of these funds were allocated to the direct participation of Polish athletes in the Olympic Games, for coaches, accommodation, and doctors, how much was spent on doctors, how our team was supported during the Games, and how much was spent on other purposes and what those purposes were.

Nitras Announces Requests for Audits at PKOl to Banaś and Trzaskowski

- I have appealed to the President of NIK, Marian Banaś, with a request for an urgent and ad-hoc audit at the Polish Olympic Committee concerning the spending of funds from the state budget and SSP. I would like to remind you that this amounts to PLN 92 million over the last 3 years - stated Sławomir Nitras at a press briefing.

- Simultaneously, I have appealed to the Mayor of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski, who exercises legal supervision over the PKOl, with a request to initiate an audit regarding the correctness of decisions made concerning the remuneration of PKOl board members.

Morawiecki:

The 'Gazeta Wyborcza' and TVN Experts Have Gone into Hiding
And look at this. On the front lines accusing PiS of pro-Russian sympathies were those who now have to delete photos with a real agent of Putin's special services. A strange silence has fallen. The experts from 'Gazeta Wyborcza' or TVN have gone into hiding - says Mateusz Morawiecki in a clip published on social media. Those who accused my government of being pro-Russian, it was us who provided military equipment to the defending Ukraine. This equipment allowed us to not have Russians at our border. Don't apologize, you have written yourselves into the pages of history on the wrong side. You are... You know who - he emphasizes.

Deputy Minister of Justice Resigns:

He Made a Mistake.
Today, I have submitted my resignation from the position of Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Justice. Once again, I apologize for the situation that has arisen and thank Minister Bodnar and the entire ministry for these few weeks of joint, good, and harmonious work. I thank Marshal Czarzasty and my party for recommending me for this position - Bartłomiej Ciążyński stated at a press conference in the Sejm.

WP reported today that the deputy minister used an official car for a vacation to Slovenia, refueling it with public funds.

- There are standards that apply to everyone. We did not talk during the parliamentary elections about implementing and adhering to these standards only to then not do so. Minister Ciążyński made a mistake, returned the funds, and resigned. This is how I envision the functioning of the new coalition and how I envision responsibility for mistakes made - said Włodzimierz Czarzasty.

Tusk Confirms Deputy Justice Minister's Resignation

- Resignation accepted - wrote Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

13:41

Śliwka on PiS's Financial Report:

We See Immense Pressure on the National Electoral Commission from Civic Coalition Politicians.
- It is not by chance that we are in front of the National Electoral Commission, because it is precisely the National Electoral Commission that will decide on the settlement or challenge of the financial report of Law and Justice. Today we know that after such gigantic pressure, which took place from, for example, Civic Coalition politicians [...] there were outrageous situations, and we deeply believe that the National Electoral Commission will rely on substantive aspects - said Andrzej Śliwka at a press conference. - According to analyses that are directly prepared within the National Electoral Commission, in the KBW [...] if it were their decision, there would be no doubt that this report would be accepted. We also see immense pressure being directed at members of the NEC from precisely Civic Coalition politicians, from the ruling party. We have nothing to hide; we have said this many times, and we provide comprehensive answers to all doubts - he continued. - In short, we are dealing with a great political stunt, a political order issued by Donald Tusk, hence these institutions currently subordinate to the ruling party and the political appointees who sit there, they are looking for something that is actually not any violation of the law - he went on to say.

13:47

Moskal:

In Giertych's Shoes, I'd Start Considering Applying for "Minor Accomplice Witness" Status
- Roman Giertych must be aware that for his very unclear role in these prosecution proceedings, which are currently being conducted on political orders, in which it is unknown what form he participates, because as he himself says, he prepared some materials for hundreds of hours in prosecution proceedings against one of the United Right politicians, for his unclear role in the illegal takeover of the prosecution, he will have to answer sooner or later - said Michał Moskal at a press conference. - Today, in Roman Giertych's place, I would start considering whether it's not time to start applying for the status of a minor accomplice witness, because it is very obvious that Mr. Giertych will be held accountable for all of this sooner or later, and held accountable in court - he continued.

19:45

Nitras on Ciążyński:

Had he not resigned, the Prime Minister would have dismissed him that very day.
- In Donald Tusk's government, the standards in this regard are unambiguous, and no one has the slightest doubt, and I know the Prime Minister well enough, that had Deputy Minister [Ciążyński] not resigned today, the Prime Minister would have simply dismissed him that very day - said Sławomir Nitras in a conversation with Dariusz Ociepa on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News. - I want to draw attention [...] to the actions of the prosecutor's office. No one ordered it, but no one blocked it either. On the same day, it released information that it was investigating the matter, whether a crime had been committed here. I think everyone sees how far this is from the standards that the ruling PiS party showed us all over the last 8 years - he continued.

19:51

Nitras:

If Sports Officials Believe They Won't Be Audited When Spending Public Funds, I Must Disabuse Them of That Notion
- I am the Minister of Sport and Tourism. Currently, the Supreme Audit Office is conducting an audit, I believe even two, within the Ministry of Sport and Tourism. The National Revenue Administration is also conducting an audit. We spend public funds, and it is natural that we are subject to control - Sławomir Nitras stated in Polsat News. - If some sports officials believe that they will not be controlled when spending public funds, that no one will look at how they spend the money that the Polish state, the state budget, allocates to sport, athletes, and in this case, Olympic preparations, then I must disabuse them of that notion. Perhaps it used to be that friends chose friends, and then other friends provided the money - he continued.

Kalisz:

Materials Still Arriving at the National Election Commission
Materials are arriving, a lot of them, but they are still arriving, and for that reason, the materials are still being analyzed by the members of the National Election Commission. At the same time, I want to say, because it was mentioned that members of the National Election Commission are not at the headquarters of the National Election Commission… The National Election Commission is not an official body. I run a law firm, and that is my primary job – stated Ryszard Kalisz on TVP Info.

20:06

Kalisz:

The 'Berek Specialists' Group Has No Idea About Basic Election Code Principles

- This group of specialists from Berek, and I'm telling this to Prime Minister Tusk, has no idea about the basic principles of the Electoral Code. Because they haven't sent us what's most important to us. We're not dealing with PiS's theft, we're dealing with the report on the election campaign before the national parliamentary elections, meaning the period between August 8th and October 13th, and Berek should know, by sending us a stack of documents, that we're not interested in how much PiS allegedly stole in the entire period, but rather how much was spent during the campaign, and they haven't calculated that for us - stated Ryszard Kalisz on TVP Info.

20:13

Kalisz:

Szczerba Sent 'A Lot of Materials,' But About 100 Pages Relate to a Picnic Under Morawiecki's Patronage Held Before the Campaign

- My very good colleague, MP Szczerba, sent a lot of materials, but about 100 pages of it concern a PiS picnic for women under the patronage of Mateusz Morawiecki, which took place in July 2023, meaning before the campaign - stated Ryszard Kalisz on TVP Info.

20:49

Trela on the Resignation of the Deputy Minister from The Left:

That's How It Had to Be Done.

- Today, the now former Deputy Minister Ciążyński submitted his resignation because that's how it had to be done in such a situation. We are demonstrating that in The Left, standards are of significantly higher quality than among those who ruled for 8 years, and anyone, absolutely anyone, who abuses power, who misuses a service car or other perks associated with a given position paid for by taxpayers' money, will be treated as such. This is a warning to absolutely everyone in the government or holding other positions appointed by The Left in this or any other institution – stated Tomasz Trela on the program 'Fakty po faktach' on TVN24.

20:50

Trela on PSL’s Stance on Partnership Unions:

I’m Surprised by the Fuss Over Civil Registry Office Ceremonies.

- I am surprised by my colleagues from the PSL making a big deal out of civil registry office ceremonies for partnership unions. I am surprised that changing one’s surname is a problem, when any citizen in our country can change their surname by an administrative decision, through the appropriate procedure. I am surprised, I am trying to convince, and I will continue to convince my colleagues from the PSL, because they are my coalition partners, to support, to support the government’s project – said Tomasz Trela on TVN24.

20:50

Jarubas on Coalition Leaders' Meeting

- We hear that perhaps in the coming days. I don't know yet, I tried to inquire today if there is already a date, most likely there isn't yet, but I hope that today, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow this date will be [for the coalition leaders]. A meeting that has such a strategic character, because the holiday period is ending, the parliamentary season is about to begin, it's worth for the leaders to discuss what, on what programmatic elements this restart should be built – stated Adam Jarubas in the program ,,Fakty po faktach” on TVN24.

20:51

Jarubas Announces New PSL Bill on Civil Partnerships

- We will probably present [the bill on next of kin] soon, at the start of the political season, outlining the principles that fulfill the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights. We have stated our position on this matter from the beginning; it's not as if the PSL changed its mind after the elections – said Adam Jarubas on the program 'Fakty po faktach' on TVN24.
