At 10:00 AM, President Andrzej Duda will appoint Mariusz Kamiński as the Minister of the Interior and Administration.

Celebrations for the 99th anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw and Polish Army Day, which falls on Thursday, will commence in Warsaw. At 10:50 AM, Minister Mariusz Błaszczak will lay flowers at the monument of Marshal Józef Piłsudski, and at 11:00 AM, he will present departmental awards and distinctions.

At noon, a meeting of opposition party representatives is scheduled to take place at the SLD headquarters concerning joint candidates for the Senate. "Regarding the Senate, these talks are ongoing, and meetings between all opposition forces concerning the Senate are also planned for tomorrow" - said Cezary Tomczyk yesterday on TOK FM. The Main Board of Civic Platform is also expected to convene today.

- We have essentially determined the shape of the lists. Only minor corrections are still to be made by the Law and Justice party leader - said Mariusz Błaszczak in an interview with Piotr Gocek on "Sygnały dnia" on Polish Radio Channel One.

- The lists are essentially ready - added the head of the Ministry of National Defence.

- These will be words addressed to American soldiers and Polish soldiers, thus at one of the locations that, based on the decisions of Presidents Donald Trump and Andrzej Duda, will be a place for the stationing of American soldiers in Poland – said Mariusz Błaszczak in a conversation with Piotr Gocek on "Sygnały dnia" (Signals of the Day) on Polish Radio One. 

- We truly wish for this government to understand that one cannot offer alms in the form of 500 Zł with a means test to disabled individuals, incapable of independent existence. What right do they have? What right do all families with healthy children have to receive 500 Zł unconditionally, while a person who needs the most help, who is incapable of independent existence, who has never had a normal childhood, now receives 500 Zł from the government with a means test and must re-qualify? This is a disgrace to this government - Iwona Hartwich said in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News's "Graffiti" program.

- I want society to know that we have enormous grievances against Mr. Andrzej Duda. A majority of our families with disabled individuals voted for the president because, before the elections, the president was in Toruń, holding disabled mothers and children by the hands and promising help. On the second day of the protest, when we signed an agreement with Mr. Kolarski, on the third day, his calls went unanswered, and President Andrzej Duda fled – Iwona Hartwich stated in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News's "Graffiti".

- We have prepared, I believe, a rather decent draft law [regulating politicians' flights], which we will publish on Friday. We want to consult it with all parliamentary clubs before it enters the legislative path, so that it becomes a cross-party and timeless law, serving Poland well - stated Michał Dworczyk in a conversation with Paweł Lisicki on "Trójka's Political Salon".

- I agree with you that this series should be concluded. Of course, the public has the right to know this information regarding the flights of the most important people in the state. We, as you mentioned, have published the flight list of Prime Minister Morawiecki, and yesterday, Prime Minister Szydło. Today, the Chancellery of the Prime Minister will publish the flight lists of Prime Minister Kopacz and Prime Minister Tusk. And I think that this discussion may not end here, but will slowly fade away. On Friday, we will present a draft law [regulating politicians' flights] and I hope that at the nearest Sejm session, this law will be adopted by parliament - stated Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Paweł Lisicki in "Salon polityczny Trójki".

- I am very cautious when it comes to polls. The past elections have taught us that polls can diverge significantly from actual election results. Naturally, as PiS, we are pleased that Poles appreciate the four years of work and reforms that we are striving to implement, but we are also aware that the opposition's actions indicate the campaign will be very brutal, not necessarily substantive, which we lament – stated Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Paweł Lisicki on "Trójka Political Salon".

- We always want to discuss programs. PiS presents a program before every election. We too, at the beginning of September, will present our programmatic ideas for the next 4 years, and we hope to convince Poles of them - stated Michał Dworczyk in a conversation with Paweł Lisicki in "Trójka Political Salon". “Whatever [the committee] is called, we are going to the elections together, because the determination is so immense that regardless of what the court decides. Regardless of which way it goes, we know which vehicle it will travel in next, because we know that the premium for unity is immense. This is visible in the polls, in the atmosphere” – said the leader of the SLD, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, in an interview with Piotr Kraśko on Radio TOK FM's morning show.

“We have such a hope [for joint opposition candidates for the Senate]. Three weeks ago, we announced the Senate Pact. We invited all parties to this pact without any preconditions. Yesterday, PO also reacted. All parties reacted positively. As the left, we believe that we should reach a situation where in one constituency there is one candidate nominated by the democratic parties. If one party nominates a candidate, the others do not. This is a very good idea and we endorse it without any preconditions” - said the leader of SLD, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, in an interview with Piotr Kraśko on Radio TOK FM's Poranek.

„We are observing actions from Civic Platform that are highly critical of opposition parties. Mr. Jerzy Borowczak, a Civic Platform MP, is everywhere urging people to vote only for Civic Coalition, because a vote cast for PSL and the left is a wasted vote. The aim is to poach people or attempt to poach people” - said the leader of SLD, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, in an interview with Piotr Kraśko on Radio TOK FM's Poranek.

- We are looking for the best of the best. We are discussing arguments and creating a list of 100 people who will be able to effectively compete for the Senate. I am convinced that with such an approach, this minimum goal of 51 senators is achievable immediately, and our calculations show that it could even be around 65 seats in the Senate. With such a good approach, up to 70 seats - stated Borys Budka in an interview with Piotr Kraśko on TOK FM.

"The lawbreaking and arrogance of PiS's power will be so great in the next term that we will be sitting in prison. You in a cell next to me, and I next to you. Grzesiek Schetyna will probably be next. I urge: let's not fight for leadership in the opposition. Let's fight the enemy and the opponent. His name is PiS" - said the head of SLD, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, in an interview with Piotr Kraśko on Radio TOK FM's Morning program.

President Andrzej Duda has appointed Mariusz Kamiński to the office of Minister of Interior and Administration. The ceremony took place at the Presidential Palace.

– A significant moment, a big change, another one on our political scene, and taking a broader view, not only in terms of the executive branch but also the legislative branch. As there is an occasion, I will once again thank the Marshal for her very good, perhaps even excellent, performance of this extremely difficult and responsible mission of heading the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, and I thank her for agreeing to take on this next challenge, which is also extremely responsible and important, because after all, no matter how you look at it, it is the second highest office in the state, according to our protocol. I thank her for the excellent fulfillment of her duties and for her readiness to serve. Because this certainly characterizes the Marshal and all the decisions she makes – stated President Andrzej Duda in the Presidential Palace, during the ceremony of changes in the composition of the Council of Ministers.

– Today, the presentation of the nomination for the Marshal's successor as head of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration. I told Minister [Marius Kamiński] a moment ago that I am very pleased with this designation by the Prime Minister, with this choice, because I have an absolute conviction that he is the right person in the right place. He has great experience in parliamentary service, but above all, government service, having previously headed the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau years ago, having created this bureau, as that was the main, first, and most important task of the minister years ago, thus possessing immense experience in creating extremely important institutions of the Polish state, and coordinating the work of special services through these institutions in recent years – PAD continued.

- The media depolarization bill is not under government review. If there is a political decision, then we will proceed with it. At the moment, there is no political decision to go in this direction - stated Jacek Sasin in an interview with Michał Wróblewski on the WP program "Tłit".

In a recent interview for 300POLITYKA, Deputy Prime Minister Gliński admitted that the bills are prepared and comply with European standards, similar to France or Germany, but there is currently no political decision to implement them.

- Of course the curtain can be removed. Of course it can. I wanted to unveil it, but there's renovation happening there right now, and that's why, due to the dust, the gentlemen are saying it should remain closed for now, but because of the dust, not because of your presence - stated Elżbieta Witek in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

• We are appealing to the Marshal to convene this meeting of the Justice Committee in accordance with the regulations. In reality, we are checking her intentions and whether, when taking on this role, she spoke the truth, that she would be an objective Marshal, would listen to the opposition's voice, but above all, would properly fulfill the duties of the second person in the state. Today, Marshal Witek will have the opportunity to say whether she is the Marshal of the entire Sejm, or if she intends to add her own brick to the clarification of the Podkarpacka affair and the mysterious series of suicides, or whether she will want to be a Marshal who wants to bury the Podkarpacka affair and these mysterious suicides underground - stated Arkadiusz Myrcha at a briefing in the Sejm.
• We will also request protection for Maciej M., who is likely the last crucial witness in the Podkarpacka affair. We will request the status of a specially protected person in prison and the status of a "King's Witness" for Maciej M. - said Agnieszka Pomaska.

- We discussed the parliamentary election lists [at the Civic Platform's board meeting], the Civic Coalition lists, the Platform's recommendations regarding these lists, and also ongoing discussions about the Senate lists. Regarding the parliamentary election lists, Chairman Grzegorz Schetyna proposed certain changes to the national board concerning the positions that were already announced after the previous national board meeting. As for the changes, the most important is the first position in Rzeszów. Following the resignation of President Ferenc, the recommendation is for Paweł Poncyljusz to take the first position on this list. So, the number one spot in Rzeszów is Paweł Poncyljusz. Regarding the second position, the chairman recommended Jarosław Wałęsa, in line with earlier declarations. As for the third position in Toruń, the candidate is Iwona Hartwich, and the fifth position in Szczecin is Magdalena Filiks - stated Jan Grabiec in a conversation with journalists.

- I received an offer to run on a parliamentary list for the Sejm, and I accepted that offer - said Grzegorz Napieralski in an interview with Roch Kowalski on TOK FM's "Political Interview".

- The conversation I had with the Civic Platform authorities did not concern first, second, or third place at all - Napieralski added.

- Of course, Spring and Together are losing their subjectivity and identity. Please note that if this were an electoral coalition, there's an 8% threshold, and if it were The Left, Left Together, United Left, the name doesn't matter, each party would have its own subjectivity - Grzegorz Napieralski said in an interview with Roch Kowalski on TOK FM's "Political Interview".

- We'll reach an agreement [the opposition regarding the Senate]. Please don't worry. I believe that for most of these districts, final preparations and negotiations are underway. I can speak about our region. There are six electoral districts, and actually, for one of them, I'm still waiting for final confirmation, but everything indicates that it will also be quite swift. I also know that in other regions of Poland, these efforts are advanced. There might still be some places where final negotiations are ongoing - stated Joanna Mucha in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News's "Wydarzenia i opinie".

- We will not negotiate through the media. We respect each other. The discussions also lasted over two hours today. I think they were in a good atmosphere. I expect them to be continued. The assumption is that we should make a decision by the end of this week whether we are actually going through with it - stated Anna-Maria Żukowska in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News' "Wydarzenia i opinie".

- They were definitely included in a document titled 'Minutes of Discrepancy'. There is a definite problem with Roman Giertych. However, he assumed leadership of the All-Polish Youth (Młodzież Wszechpolska), who are now throwing stones in the streets at people participating in equality marches. Yet, it was he who first let these people into the Sejm, gave them a parliamentary platform - stated Anna-Maria Żukowska in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News' "Wydarzenia i opinie" (Events and Opinions), when asked if Roman Giertych could be a joint candidate for PO and SLD for the Senate.

- The electoral committee of the SLD has been registered today. The authorized representative of this committee is Marcelina Zawisza, one of the leaders of the Left Together. The Left will run as a united bloc. This is probably the first time that there will not be a separate left-wing list in the parliamentary elections - stated Anna-Maria Żukowska in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News' "Wydarzenia i opinie" (Events and Opinions).

- The activity of Mr. Advocate Giertych is nothing new in high-profile, media-covered cases. It is difficult to escape the comment or reflection that in the context of emerging information about the advocate's candidacy in the upcoming elections, this media dimension may be particularly important - said Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" on Polsat News.

- I would like to point out that Mr. Advocate Giertych appears in such high-profile, media-covered cases, and the electoral context is undoubtedly important - Dworczyk added.

“Everyone has the right to express their views, their worldview. We can debate, but in a civilized manner. There must be no violence, no intimidation of anyone. State services must oversee this,” said Minister Mariusz Kamiński in an interview with Danuta Holecka on “Gość Wiadomości” on TVP Info.

“If someone knowingly offends the religious sentiments of others, commits profanity against symbols sacred to many Poles, they must reckon with a reaction from the state. If someone promotes slogans glorifying fascism or communism, they must reckon with a state counter-offensive. We cannot tolerate these types of slogans in the public sphere. There is no tolerance for antisemitism proclaimed publicly, for racism. The state must and will react,” he added.

- The information is, as I said, not all of it, because this information is dispersed, and this is one of the reasons why the upcoming law will precisely describe the flight register, which will be maintained by the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. Currently, preparing this register would be very labour-intensive. If citizens request information within the framework of access to public information, or if MPs submit parliamentary interpellations, then, of course, all the information that can be provided will be provided - said Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" on Polsat News.
