We have taken a step forward because we have made fundamental decisions, which we will be informing about this week, not necessarily everything today. But I can deny one thing. The SLD will still be called the SLD, and I no longer want to get into technical matters and naming. The SLD will remain the SLD. The left will certainly exist, but the path to achieving it is varied. This is already a technical matter. We have reached an agreement, we will be informing about it this week, but I guarantee you, everything will be known this week. On Monday, i.e., today at 13:00, we are announcing the composition of the campaign staff, the head of the staff, and the entire composition + coalition partners who will stand with us. This first group of coalition partners plus decisions regarding Robert Biedroń's candidacy – stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

- Both with Mr. Zandberg and Mr. Biedroń, we have settled all matters related to the launch on Saturday. And there, we need to agree on literally 3 or 4 spots, and we also have coalition partners with whom we must consult on all of this. Therefore, nothing by force. But as I say, we are closing this matter this week, meaning we are ready that when the president announces the elections, it is certainly not a problem for us to collect signatures, to register lists. - Today one package, probably on Wednesday/Thursday the second package - announced the leader of the SLD.

- The enemy is PiS. We want to win against PiS. Mr. Schetyna is no longer fighting PiS. Mr. Schetyna is fighting for leadership within the opposition. We are taking different paths, because breaking up the PSL, the SLD, informing about this, Ms. Lubnauer said recently: please do not vote for other committees, because the votes will be lost. I know this narrative. This narrative ended with the PiS government. Therefore, Mr. Schetyna has decided, he is now only fighting so that PiS does not achieve a constitutional majority. - Why is [Tadeusz] Ferenc running for Sejm? By running for Sejm, Mr. President, you are ceding Rzeszów to PiS. A year ago, he said he wanted to be the mayor of Rzeszów. Then he behaved unfairly towards left-wing values related to what happened in Rzeszów, I'm talking about the Equality Parade, he was expelled from the SLD. And now we are giving Rzeszów to PiS just to spoil 0.5% in the Rzeszów region for the SLD - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty in a conversation with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

- In my opinion, Kuchciński will resign this week. A person who receives something and does not pay tax on it is, generally speaking, a thief. Very dishonest, arrogant, believing that because he is the Marshal of Poland, he can do anything. He will end badly. In my opinion, he has already ended. If PiS does not force him to step down this week, he will start to lose - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News's "Graffiti".

"These are not conflicts. I hope everything will work out. On Friday, after the parliamentary session, we will have a board meeting dedicated to these matters [lists]. I am convinced that [Jarosław Wałęsa will run]. It is important that this decision is mutually accepted, not the subject of nervous speculation. Jarek Wałęsa is an experienced and important politician for us. He should run in these elections. „[Regarding Roman Giertych] it's a more difficult answer. He ran for the Senate once before without success. I don't recall this to be skeptical, because lawyer Giertych himself is certainly a valuable person, but the voters must also want it. Within the Civic Coalition, it's a difficult task regarding an agreement around such a candidacy, if we have an agreement of a larger number of committees. For the Senate, there must be an agreement of all pro-democratic committees, meaning we shouldn't create competition within districts” – said MEP Andrzej Halicki in an interview with Dominika Wielowieyska on Poranek Radia TOK FM.

Last week, the Sejm was supposed to elect a new President of the Supreme Audit Office (NIK), so that the Senate could immediately approve the candidate. Ultimately, the vote did not take place, and according to the latest version of the upper house's schedule, approval for the appointment of the NIK President will only occur on August 30th. The Sejm's selection may happen either this coming Friday or at a subsequent additional session on August 30th.

- Since November 12, 2015, when the MPs entrusted me with the function of Marshal of the Sejm, I adopted a model of work for the Marshal that operates not only in the parliamentary chamber within the Sejm building in Warsaw, but also actively works within the country and abroad. This explains the large number of meetings and trips to ceremonies in which I participate and have participated, invited by the organizers. Such meetings have taken place over 900 times since the beginning of the term, often several a day, including on Saturdays and Sundays. Participation in many of them required the use of air transport. This also involves direct consultations with residents of various places in Poland, mainly from small towns. The immense legislative activity of the Sejm in this term requires conversations that involve citizens in the law-making process. The Sejm in the current term has passed 876 laws. Flights, both to Rzeszów and to any other airport in Poland and abroad, were related to my work as Marshal of the Sejm, which included international and national conferences, as well as regional and local ones. Meetings related to the Sejm's work and other current events. Participation in anniversary celebrations of international, state, and regional, as well as local significance. I am aware that the number of flights was high, but it stemmed mainly from the work model I adopted - stated the Marshal of the Sejm, Marek Kuchciński, at a briefing in the Sejm.

“Sometimes 30 seconds on a search engine is enough to read media articles about the flights of other state officials, even those of prime ministerial rank. An article from February 2012 about 90 flights by the then-Prime Minister Tusk on the Warsaw-Gdańsk route, or an article from May 2011 about 175 such flights on the Warsaw-Gdańsk route over 3.5 years of his term. Back then, if it was subject to public criticism, as we have seen now, then that's fine, but no one questioned the Prime Minister's entitlement to use special transport. Hence my appeal to the media for equal treatment of all politicians” - said PiS Deputy Spokesperson Radosław Fogiel during a statement in the Sejm.

- I am aware that public opinion negatively assesses such actions. Therefore, I wish to apologize to all who felt offended. At the same time, I want to state firmly that I acted lawfully. The data regarding these flights are available in several institutions. Accompaniment by family members did not increase the cost of flights in any instance; apart from one described situation, there was never a case of my family flying on a military aircraft without my presence – stated the Marshal of the Sejm, Marek Kuchciński, at a briefing in the Sejm.

„In the upcoming parliamentary elections, we will run as the Left Wing Electoral Committee. The organizational and legal basis for this run will be the SLD structure. He will be the head of the Left Wing campaign headquarters” – explained the head of SLD, Włodzimierz Czarzasty.

„Today, the great left-wing family has met, and this is truly a historic moment. We are joined by representatives of many non-governmental organizations, political parties, various movements, who will jointly form the Left Wing Electoral Committee, which will run with a strong headquarters of experienced people, a headquarters of organizations and political parties, and movements that have repeatedly shown their strength and have run in elections many times. I have the honor of being the head of the campaign headquarters and leading the Left Wing team in these elections. The campaign headquarters includes: Marcelina Zawisza, Krzysztof Gawkowski, Marcin Kulasek, Patryk Janczewski, and Anna-Maria Żukowska.

- Following Marshal Kuchciński's conference, we know that PiS aims for an abuse of power to remain without consequences, and Kuchciński himself is a man without honor. We demand the immediate resignation of Marshal Kuchciński in light of the information we have obtained from documents that you, the state, and the media have acquired; Kuchciński should resign immediately - stated Mariusz Witczak at a briefing in the Sejm.

In my assessment, nothing has been decided yet. The decision is not 100% made. In my opinion, it's 50/50. Everything points to that. I am not backing down, however, when an agreement is signed, if it is, then Chairman Paweł Kukiz and Chairman Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz will inform about it. - For me, it was a shameful spectacle of hypocrisy and stupidity at the same time. Stupidity, if only because the Marshal wasn't even able to utter anything spontaneously. Everything was written down for him, and he read it without understanding. Let's be frank, I was 100% sure that in the given situation, the Marshal would resign, and it would be a strategic retreat.
