Kidawa-Błońska:

Civil Partnerships Must Be Regulated, and We Will Do It. However, an Educational Campaign is Still Needed

- This is a topic [concerning worldview issues] that PiS is keen to discuss. They are keen because if we start talking about healthcare, there's no desire for that conversation. They don't want to talk about education. But here, it's very easy to polarize through such statements, to point fingers at culprits, the worse ones, and to lead to division. We do not agree to this and will always strongly protest where inappropriate things appear in political debate or campaigns. However, this campaign concerns many areas of our lives – stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News' "Polityczne Graffiti".

- I remind you that we prepared a bill [on civil partnerships], which unfortunately did not pass. Civil partnerships must be regulated. Full stop. And we will do it. However, one more thing needs to be done. An educational campaign must be conducted so that people understand what civil partnerships are, what they offer, because right now they hear slogans from those opposing these unions that fill people with anxiety. But if it's calmly explained what it is, what this law offers these people, everyone agrees: yes, yes, it should be this way – added the Civic Platform MP.

Kidawa-Błońska:

It seems to me this will be one of Marshal Kuchciński's last sessions
This topic was not raised, however, the topic of Civic Coalition's motion to dismiss the Marshal of the Sejm was brought up and this debate in the Sejm will take place next Friday afternoon. Very quickly. Even the Marshal is convening a special session of the Sejm for this purpose, because just a few days ago we were setting the Sejm session for September 30th [referring to August 30th]. In my opinion, there are two reasons. Firstly, PiS thinks that in this way they will close this matter. The Marshal will receive a vote of confidence, because it is known that PiS will not dismiss him and they will state that the matter is closed. Or he will be defended and in two days we will find out that we have a new Marshal of the Sejm, so that this matter dies down, because it is very, very inconvenient for PiS in the campaign. It seems to me that this will be one of Marshal Kuchciński's last sessions – stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News' "Polityczne Graffiti".

Mucha on Procedure for Electoral Code Amendments: "We Analyze Every Law According to Procedure"

- "It is so that we always analyze each individual matter, each law, according to the procedure adopted in the Chancellery of the President. The Bureau of Law and Governance analyzes all circumstances. Whether there are any reasons that would justify directing a request to the Constitutional Tribunal in a given matter under preventive review, whether there are any grounds for the president to veto the law, although here there can be both legal and political circumstances. We know that the president has freedom here regarding the request for reconsideration of a law, and we also have the most common situation, the one that happens most often, that the president signs the law, and presidential ministers never anticipate the process of analysis by the president before it is completed," stated Paweł Mucha in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on the morning program Siódma9, responding to a question from Michał Olech about the procedure for processing changes to the Electoral Code in the Sejm, in the context of the provision in the Sejm's regulations requiring a 14-day waiting period before the first and second readings, and a similar situation with the Penal Code, which the president referred to the Constitutional Tribunal. As the presidential minister emphasized, formal elements are important, but all circumstances and the significance of the entire matter are analyzed.

Official Statement on Westerplatte Museum Act Coming Soon
I think there will be an official statement on this matter [the Westerplatte Museum Act] soon. However, I would say this: Westerplatte is a place of historical events, a place of historical memory, and its significance for commemorations is evident, for example, in the context of the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of World War II, which has a supra-local character. The reasoning that we talk about Westerplatte solely in a Gdańsk context is, in my opinion… Every Pole who remembers what this place is and what happened there can identify with Westerplatte, and we certainly would want for this part of Poland that this memory is cultivated and is supra-local. Of course, taking into account that no one will geographically move Westerplatte towards Warsaw – stated Paweł Mucha in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on the morning program Siódma9.

Mucha on Parliament Election Announcement: Maximum Deadline is August 14th, But I Think It Will Be Sooner

- The maximum date for this deadline is August 14th [for the announcement of parliamentary elections]. But I think it will be sooner, while reserving that it is the president's prerogative - stated Paweł Mucha in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on the morning program Siódma9.

Krasnodębski:

Ziobro's Candidacy Shows Civic Platform Still Relies on Cheap Populism

"This [Tomasz Ziobro's candidacy] shows that cheap populism still characterizes the Civic Platform. I received the decision of Paweł Kowal to be the 'number one' for the KO in Krakow with some sadness" – said PiS MEP Zdzisław Krasnodębski in an interview with Radio Trójka.

"Today, PO is gathering everything it can, mainly from the left. When I look at the individuals who got into the European Parliament thanks to PO, I recently had an interesting conversation with a CDU MP who couldn't believe that such a coalition was formed in Poland and that strengthening the socialists with certain prominent figures from the Polish communist movement is the work of PO" – he added.

Krasnodębski:

There is no crusade against LGBT in Poland. There is a rather sharp offensive by these circles, manifesting in a radical way

Gazeta Wyborcza has long propagated the thesis that there is no significant difference between the policies of Vladimir Putin and PiS. These are delusions. There is no crusade against LGBT in Poland. There is a rather sharp offensive by these circles, manifesting in a radical way. And there is a reaction to this, not only political, but primarily from Polish society” - said PiS MEP Zdzisław Krasnodębski on Radio Trójka.

Biedroń:

PO Did Nothing for LGBT Communities. Nothing Was Done for Their Rights During Years of PO-PSL Rule

- Every decent person, and especially someone who has a heart on the left, should always stand on the side of the victim. If anyone offends Bartosz Arłukowicz or Barbara Nowacka, throws a stone at them, calls them a "plague" like Archbishop Jędraszewski, I will be the first to stand up in their defense. Burying your head in the sand here doesn't help at all - said Robert Biedroń in an interview with Michał Wróblewski on the WP program "Tłit," when asked about the absence of KO politicians at the rally against violence in Białystok.

- This moment requires every decent person to stand on the side of good, not evil. If someone tries to apply symmetry here, they are siding with evil - he continued. As the leader of Wiosna emphasized: - Platforma is a right-wing, Christian democratic party today. Arłukowicz and Nowacka are in a right-wing party today. PO belongs to the Christian democratic team in the EP, alongside Orbán. They probably have such right-wing values. If they want to pretend to be right-wing, fine... We on the left have the courage to stand on the side of good. People like Nowacka are silenced in PO.

- PO did nothing for LGBT communities. Nothing was done for their rights during the years of PO-PSL rule - he stressed.

Biedroń:

I Don't Know What Schetyna Believes In, But Voters No Longer Believe in Civic Coalition's Victory. Fortunately, an Alternative Emerged: a Left-Wing Coalition, and Our Support is Growing.
- Włodzimierz Czarzasty is disappointed with how Schetyna treated him. It was supposed to be a partnership, but it turned out to be a betrayal. Schetyna betrayed Czarzasty. And that has a price. In politics, trust is difficult to come by, but there should at least be basic trust when forming alliances - stated Robert Biedroń in an interview with Michał Wróblewski on the WP program "Tłit". - I remember Schetyna saying: "we must unite, build a broad coalition.” Wiosna was constantly attacked for not wanting to join. And when we proposed: "then let's build this coalition!”, Schetyna destroyed it. My proposal was a test of Schetyna's and PO's true intentions. I said: "I'm calling your bluff." And I did. It turned out that Schetyna and PO didn't want any broad coalition - added the leader of Wiosna. - I don't know what Schetyna believes in. But I know that voters no longer believe in the Civic Coalition's victory. Fortunately, an alternative emerged, a left-wing coalition, and our support is growing. We will not hide our values - concluded Biedroń.

President Signs So-Called Westerplatte Museum Act

President Andrzej Duda yesterday signed the act on investments concerning the construction of the Westerplatte Museum and the 1939 War – a branch of the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk, known as the so-called Westerplatte Museum Act – the Chancellery of the President announced.

Next Week We'll Announce the Top Three Candidates on the Lists. Work is Ongoing, No Decisions Yet
Next week we will announce the top three candidates on the lists. Work is ongoing, and no decisions have been made yet - stated Robert Biedroń in an interview with Michał Wróblewski on WP's program "Tłit". As he admitted, he met with Grzegorz Schetyna regarding the "Senate pact." - It will be bad if we field multiple candidates in the same constituency, because then PiS will win there. The ball is in play. The final decision rests with Grzegorz Schetyna. I hope he will rise above party ambitions and wish to build a broad opposition agreement for the Senate - Biedroń added. - Giertych for the Senate? A provocative candidacy. I hope no party will support him. The man introduced the "zero tolerance" program, censored textbooks, and brought the All-Polish Youth into the mainstream. No one on the pro-democratic side can support Roman Giertych. He trampled democratic rules - concluded the leader of Wiosna.

PiS has been unsuccessfully trying to take power in the capital of Podkarpacie for many years. Until now, however, the party's candidates have been defeated by Ferenc decisively – both MP Andrzej Szlachta, who has tasted governing the city before, and MP Wojciech Buczak. This time, Ferenc himself gave PiS a chance to take power in Rzeszów by deciding to run for the Sejm." http://rzeszow.wyborcza.pl/rzeszow/7,34962,25049862,wybory-parlamentarne-2019-pis-trzyma-kciuki-za-tadeusza-ferenca.html -- NON-PARTISANS WITHOUT KUKIZ - WITHOUT RADICALS - CEZARY PRZYBYLSKI IN FAKT: "I can say that we will definitely not run in a coalition with Paweł Kukiz. By placing second-tier politicians of this formation on the lists (though sometimes formerly known, like the former leader of the Alliance, Grzegorz Napieralski), he sent a signal to the electorate: you can feel like the left, and still vote for us." -- PLATFORMA PROMISES MORE THAN PiS - ZAREMBA CONTINUES: "One can wonder endlessly about what prevails in the thicket of opposition parties: differences or similarities. They are united by euro-enthusiasm, the fight against PiS's historical policy, the defense of institutions and procedures from the Third Republic, and, with the Platform's drift to the left, increasingly also their approach to worldview issues. In socio-economic matters, there are differences, but they are more apparent than they might seem. After all, it was the SLD that co-created the liberal capitalist model, which was only questioned in 2015 by PiS. At the same time, today all major parties advocate for handouts, in the PiS style. If Schetyna's campaign promises were taken seriously, PO is even more generous in showering money from the budget than PiS. They are not in power, so they can promise anything." -- ZAREMBA IS SURPRISED BY KOWAL: "More than Napieralski or Piekarska, I am surprised by Paweł Kowal, the first on the KO list in Krakow. Naturally, he too can invoke the capacity of large Polish formations. But the worldview conflict specifically reduces this freedom. It often has a moral coloring. It is difficult to be a credible conservative in PO today. Kowal comes there after the practical political extermination of the former conservative wing, symbolized by people like Marek Biernacki. One can understand his dispute with PiS. But does this mean automatic accession to the opposing camp?" -- WILL GYMNASTICS WITHOUT OTHER ADVANTAGES BE ENOUGH TO THREATEN THE GOVERNMENT JUGGERNAUT? - ZAREMBA'S CONCLUSION: "That's how it is with this 'coalition.' Here, Czarzasty rightly reminded that these are in practice PO lists, approved by its authorities and benefiting from budget subsidies. "Civicness" is more of a disguise or perhaps a veneer. At the same time, although politics cannot do without social engineering and tricks today, one can ask if such gymnastics without other advantages will really be enough to threaten the government juggernaut." https://polskatimes.pl/piotr-zaremba-partyjne-listy-wyborcze-czyli-sztuka-politycznego-werbunku/ar/c15-14320987 -- THE LISTS ARE NOT BAD, BUT SCHETYNA IS BUILDING HIS OWN TEAM - JACEK NIZINKIEWICZ IN RZ: "The announced KO lists are not bad. And they are certainly not bad for the leader of PO himself, who is building a strong team for himself in the new parliament. Even if there is a shameful defeat for the KO, he can be calm about leading the Platform. The leaders of the lists anointed by him will not allow for a change of party leader. Moreover, Schetyna has effectively neutralized the competition by confining it to the Warsaw City Hall, sending it to Brussels, or making it dependent on him. Pre-election struggles within the opposition strengthen the ruling party, which manages to create electoral lists externally without conflict. The opposition, by arguing among themselves over places on the lists, only alienates Poles. If they are publicly airing their dirty laundry and attacking each other fiercely today, what will happen when they come to power, the undecided voter might think. And it is precisely the wavering electorate that will determine the outcome of the autumn elections." https://www.rp.pl/Analizy/308019860-Listy-PO-Spor-o-miejsce-Hartwich-zazegnano-niesmak-pozostal.html -- PiS'S GULFFSTREAMS LIKE OCTOPUSES? - MICHAŁ SZUŁDRZYŃSKI IN RZ: "PiS came to power on a wave of outrage over Platform politicians who not only allowed themselves to be recorded in restaurants but also feasted on delicacies at the state's expense. What finished off the Platform were the 'octopuses.' Nice marine animals that, among other things, like to bask in the warm – thanks to the Gulfstream – waters of the North Atlantic. Will the Gulfstreams become PiS's 'octopuses'? Nothing today indicates that PiS will lose the elections in the autumn. I believe that Kuchciński, as the Marshal of the Sejm, is a convenient tool for Kaczyński due to his opportunism. However, it is certainly worth considering whether Marshal Kuchciński himself should not resign. It is a shame that the standards that apply in Western countries have not yet become established in Poland. There, a politician caught using their position for private matters must step down. I don't know if Kuchciński has enough honesty to do so. For me, qualifications for a given position are as important as personal honesty. And I must firmly emphasize that Kuchciński absolutely lacks these. I believe he thinks too little in the long term about Poland's fate, about Poland's place in the world. His behavior, bordering on tearfulness, his servility – unacceptable in politics – are irritating to me. It is difficult to say today whether the affair with Kuchciński's and his family's flights will cost PiS votes in the elections. Public television, the main source of information for many Poles, is under such control of the ruling party that only fragments of news reach people. Its strategic goal – for the London government to gain control of the capital and welcome the entering Russians as hosts – ended in spectacular failure. The flower of patriotic youth perished in the Uprising, and the capital – a center of resistance against the Germans – was completely destroyed; in the final analysis, it can therefore be argued that the Uprising rather facilitated the communists' domination of Poland than hindered it, as the people who would have resisted them died or were sent to POW camps. In the Uprising, during which the capital was reduced to ruins, and after its capitulation, we lost a huge number of cultural assets – archives (e.g., the entire Archive of Old Acts were burned), libraries, monuments. National treasures that had shaped Poles' identity for centuries were irretrievably lost. It can therefore be argued that due to these losses, subsequent generations became less Polish (if that is even possible). 150-200 thousand civilians died in the Uprising, which constitutes a significant portion of Poland's population losses during World War II. Without the Uprising, most of these people would most likely have survived." https://oko.press/duda-i-morawiecki-fantazjuja-o-powstaniu-warszawskim-dzieki-niemu-mamy-wolna-polske/ -- ON THE DOWNSIDES OF 500 PLUS - ANDRZEJ RZOŃCA IN KULTURA LIBERALNA: "With the current structure – when families where adults abandon work and no one is employed also receive support – yes. But this program doesn't have to have such an effect; it can be activating if a condition were introduced that such behavior is not allowed. Then, people who are abandoning work today would start looking for it. In order to have income both from work and from the 500 Plus benefit. Before 500 Plus came into effect, a theoretical analysis appeared that showed the effects this allowance would have on women's employment in the medium term. Simulations indicated that a quarter of a million women would stop working in the medium term. A year later, an empirical analysis appeared, confirming that 100,000 women resigned from work due to the 500 Plus program. In May, the latest GUS data on poverty also appeared. Extreme poverty has begun to grow in Poland, especially where there is the least work. It is drastically increasing among people with primary education and in rural areas, and only decreasing in large cities, i.e., where finding work is easiest. If we analyze the data by source of income, we will notice that the largest increase in extreme poverty occurs among families where no one works, and the family is supported by benefits other than disability or old-age pensions." -- IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO RAISE THE RETIREMENT AGE IN POLAND - RZOŃCA CONTINUES: "It is impossible to permanently raise the retirement age in Poland because there is a party ready to lower it at any time. In Europe, no one before PiS has responded to the aging of society in a similar way. Later, only the populists from Italy – a country that we can outrun in terms of income per capita within ten years, despite its income being higher than the Western European average in the early 1990s – decided on a similar step, albeit with the reservation that they are doing it only temporarily. And PiS presents itself as a patriotic party, even though it introduced a solution comparable to the first use of *liberum veto*. After the use of *liberum veto* in 1652, Poland did not fall for many years, but it was a change that sealed the country's fate." https://kulturaliberalna.pl/2019/08/02/rzonca-wywiad-koalicja-obywatelska-gospodarka-praca-500-plus/ -- THIRD ANNIVERSARY OF THE DEATH OF CARDINAL MACHARSKI.

Tusk on Giertych's Stance: "They Would Have Their Hands Full with Him. Especially in Żoliborz. Much Divides Us, But I Support This Idea"

Donald Tusk, the former Prime Minister and former President of the European Council, has commented on the political stance of Roman Giertych, a prominent lawyer and politician. Tusk expressed his support for a particular idea proposed by Giertych, stating that it would create significant challenges for their political opponents.

In a post on his Twitter account (https://twitter.com/donaldtusk/status/1157236128199692288), Tusk wrote: "Mieliby z nim urwanie głowy. Szczególnie na Żoliborzu. Dużo nas różni, ale ten pomysł popieram." This translates to: "They would have their hands full with him. Especially in Żoliborz. Much divides us, but I support this idea."

The reference to "Żoliborz" is a clear allusion to Jarosław Kaczyński, the leader of the Law and Justice (PiS) party, whose political stronghold and residence are located in the Żoliborz district of Warsaw. Tusk's statement suggests that Giertych's actions or proposals would be particularly troublesome for Kaczyński and his party.

While Tusk acknowledged that he and Giertych have significant political differences ("Dużo nas różni"), he nonetheless endorsed Giertych's specific idea ("ale ten pomysł popieram"). The exact nature of the idea is not detailed in the provided text, but it is implied to be a strategy or action that would effectively challenge the current government.

This comment from Donald Tusk indicates a potential, albeit strategic and limited, alignment with Roman Giertych on certain political matters, aimed at confronting the ruling party in Poland.

PM on the Investment Map: We Invite Citizens to See What the Government Has Done, to Observe Real Changes, Real Investments in Many Areas

Often, in the context of various programs and technologies that surround us, it is said that we are being watched. Meanwhile, the investment map is a move in the other direction. It is we who invite citizens to look at what the government has done, so they can observe real changes, real investments in many areas. The interactive map, which is available to every citizen on the website, is constructed in a very logical way, by municipalities, counties, and voivodeships. Everyone will be able to see their municipality, what has been done in that municipality. Over these 4 years, we are showing a total of 40-50 thousand projects” – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

Kierwiński on Kuchciński's Flights: Based on October Requests, Flights Would Have Occurred Every Other Day
“The documents will allow us to verify a fundamental matter, namely whether there were flights where Marshal Kuchciński requested a HEAD status flight and then did not participate in it. This would provide a complete picture of what was happening in the Chancellery of the Sejm,” said Marcin Kierwiński of Civic Platform (PO) at a press conference. “As for October, based on the requests, we can conclude that a flight would have been scheduled every other day.” “The matter is very serious because it concerns multi-million zloty expenditures on Marshal Kuchciński’s flights. It is too early to estimate the number of flights and their cost, but the public certainly has the right to know how taxpayer money is being spent,” added Jan Grabiec.

President Duda: I Proposed October 13th as the Parliamentary Election Date to the National Electoral Commission
I can reveal that I have asked the National Electoral Commission (PKW) for an opinion regarding the timeline for holding these [parliamentary] elections, primarily their calendar, as it is a legal obligation to consult. The president's decision, meaning the election order, will follow immediately after I receive the response from the PKW. This procedure is already underway - stated President Andrzej Duda in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News.

I won't hide the fact that I would like the campaign to be as short as possible. I think Poles and voters, and everyone in general, expect as much peace as possible. A campaign is never a period of peace; it's always a period of a certain political clash. That's its nature. I think Poles want this clash to be as minimal as possible. Therefore, also a date as soon as possible, and I indicated, I proposed in what I presented to the PKW, October 13th - added PAD.

President Duda: Elections Could Be Called Next Week

- The moment I receive a response from the National Electoral Commission (PKW), the elections will be announced immediately. So all these concerns from smaller parties about it being at the last minute. No, it will definitely not be at the last minute - stated President Andrzej Duda in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News.

- I think we can safely expect it next week - emphasized PAD.

President Duda on Presidential Elections: "There Will Definitely Be Opponents. Janusz Korwin-Mikke Will Likely Run, as Usual. The PSL Will Probably Field a Candidate, Perhaps Kosiniak-Kamysz."
"If we cast our minds back to 2014 and had the opportunity to ask President Komorowski in August who his opponent would be in the presidential elections, I believe he wouldn't have named Andrzej Duda. The will of the voters is the most important thing. There will definitely be opponents. Janusz Korwin-Mikke will likely run, as usual. The PSL will probably field a candidate, perhaps it will be Władek Kosiniak-Kamysz. There will be many candidates in the elections," said President Andrzej Duda in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News.

Duda:

I'm Not Worried About PiS Support in Presidential Elections. I Believe They Will Prioritize Stability. Relations with Chairman Kaczyński are Good, Traditionally Good, Like with the Head of the Party Currently Governing.

"I am not afraid [about PiS support in presidential elections]. There have been many statements from Mr. Chairman Kaczyński on this matter. I believe they will want a lot of stability. Therefore, I do not have such concerns. Besides, this campaign is still far off. [Relations with Chairman Kaczyński] are good, traditionally good, like with the head of the party that is currently governing and makes state decisions in the Sejm. Maintaining a good relationship is important" - said President Andrzej Duda in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News.

President Duda: The Most Important Symbol of the Warsaw Uprising in Warsaw is the Warsaw Uprising Museum – a Great Achievement for Warsaw, the Insurgents, and Future Generations by Lech Kaczyński

"The last few days and what is happening in Warsaw, the 75th anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising, make this very clear. Please look at what is the most important symbol of the Warsaw Uprising in Warsaw today – the Warsaw Uprising Museum – a great achievement that President Lech Kaczyński made for Warsaw, for the Insurgents, and for the upbringing of future generations in Poland. In 2003, as the President of Warsaw, he promised the Insurgents that the Warsaw Uprising Museum would be built – something that had been fought for for almost 60 years. This museum could not be established. First, it was blocked by the communists, and later by the inertia of Warsaw's forces," said President Andrzej Duda in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News.

Łapiński:

If President Kaczyński Believes This Matter Harms Law and Justice Enough to Lose 2, 3, or 4 Percentage Points, the Decision Could Be Binary – We Thank the Marshal
- PiS strategists must analyze the extent to which this matter is damaging, because today there are still attempts to close this case. Will the opposition be able to keep this topic on the agenda in September, or will other issues emerge. If President Kaczyński believes that this matter is damaging Law and Justice enough to lose 2, 3, or 4 percentage points, the decision could even be binary, such that we thank the Marshal. But let us remember that this is a person who has been with PiS and PC from the very beginning. If it were a deputy from the back benches and not someone quite significant in the leadership of Law and Justice, it would already be a done deal. We live in media bubbles, PiS voters will consider the matter closed, opposition voters will have a different opinion, the analysis will concern voters who vote for PiS contextually – said former presidential spokesperson Krzysztof Łapiński in FpF.

President Duda on Westerplatte Special Act: The Area Was Recently Littered and Overgrown, Requiring Visitors to Wander Through Bushes. The Idea to Hand Over the Peninsula to the WWII Museum is Excellent.

In Gdańsk, until recently, the [Westerplatte] area was littered, overgrown, and anyone who wanted to see Westerplatte had to wander through the bushes. I believe that if we have such an important place as Westerplatte, where World War II began for the entire world, where there was this moment that truly has symbolic significance, then it has a national dimension. It does not have a local dimension in any way. It must be taken care of. There should be tours, a sightseeing route should be prepared, and a certain necessary aesthetic preserved. This museum should be alive, so I believe that the idea of handing Westerplatte over to the care of the Museum of the Second World War is a very good idea” – said President Andrzej Duda in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News.

President Duda: I Condemn All Aggressive Behavior

- This is something [the events in Białystok] that should never have happened. This is not a way to express emotions, and I will absolutely never accept that anyone was attacked, that anyone was hit, that human dignity was not respected. This is something that should never have happened, and I lament and condemn all aggressive behavior - stated President Andrzej Duda in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News.

The LGBT Movement is Fundamentally an Ideological Movement, Says President Duda
We are currently dealing with a dispute that is, in essence, ideological in nature. We have an ideological clash, because the LGBT movement is fundamentally an ideological movement. I have no doubts about this - stated President Andrzej Duda in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News.

Duda:

Constitutionally, marriage is a union of a woman and a man, but if there were a proposal to create something akin to a law on the nearest person, why shouldn't it exist?

- Everything depends on the content of the law. According to the Polish Constitution, marriage is a union of a woman and a man, but if there were a proposal to create something akin to a law on the nearest person, so that one could inquire about each other's health, for example, which has been often discussed, so that one could mutually support each other in various situations, then why shouldn't such a law exist? It would then serve everyone, not just people with homosexual preferences - stated President Andrzej Duda in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News, when asked if he would sign a partnership law.

- If there is such a need, I will primarily consider it [legislative initiative] - added PAD.

President Duda: If the Marshal Clearly Stated He Will Cover the Costs, It's a Way to Resolve the Matter

"It's good that he made such a decision [Marshal Kuchciński about donating 15,000 PLN to charity]," stated President Andrzej Duda in a conversation with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News.

"To clarify the matter properly, it needs to be regulated so that it is absolutely unambiguous. The current regulations do not address this issue at all, what happens when a family member is with me. What to do? It's also a question of what status a given person [family member] has," he added.

"If the Marshal clearly stated that he will cover the costs, it's a way to resolve the matter. The issue has been publicized, and I hope it will now be unambiguous for many people," said the President.

President Duda on Unpublished KRS Lists: There's a Witch Hunt Against Those Supporting Judicial Reforms, Aimed at Persecuting Supporters

“Considering what is happening right now, the witch hunt against those who support these changes in the judiciary, it is obviously related to persecuting those individuals who have offered their support. I know that various people are being persecuted within the justice system,” President Andrzej Duda said in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News.
