Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will be visiting Lower Silesia. At 10:45 he will visit the Toyota factory in Wałbrzych, and at 11:50 he will give a statement to the media in Szczawno-Zdrój.

At 13:30, Minister Jadwiga Emilewicz will hold her press conference on green investments within the ministry.

Dworczyk:

New Head of EC Emphasized Desire for Balance in EU, for Central and Eastern Europe to Be Appreciated

- The new head of the European Commission very clearly emphasized that she would like there to be balance in the European Commission, in the European Union, and that the Central and Eastern European region, which is particularly important from Poland's perspective, be appreciated. It is evident that these consultations regarding the staffing of important positions in the Commission are aimed at creating such a balance - said Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Katarzyna Gójska on "Sygnały dnia" on Polish Radio Channel One.

Terlecki:

I didn't fly with Kuchciński. I regret it, because I could have told you how pleasant it was

– *No, I didn't [fly with Marshal Kuchciński]. In fact, I regret it, because now I could have told you how pleasant it was, but I didn't fly, so I have nothing to talk about* – Ryszard Terlecki stated in an interview with Agata Adamek on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".

– *It seems to me that everything is explained in great detail. The Marshal has a huge number of various duties, meetings, and also foreign trips, because he represents the Polish parliament, and he also has his constituency, so he is the head of the Podkarpackie region, so these trips are fully justified and I see nothing unusual here, apart from the silly season. It happened that he took his son or daughter. This doesn't change the situation of the flight in any way* – the head of the PiS parliamentary club continued. As he emphasized, the plane is flying with the Marshal anyway, so whether he picks up an MP, a journalist, or his son, nothing extraordinary is happening.

08:03

Terlecki:

I Don't See a Need for Kuchciński to Repay Money for Flights

- I'm from Krakow, so I wouldn't repay. But I don't see a need [for Marshal Kuchciński to repay money for flights]. I think we're overreacting, and it also seems to me that with so many important things happening, dealing with such a detail is a bit like a summer lull effect - stated Ryszard Terlecki in an interview with Agata Adamek on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".

08:05

Terlecki:

We Shouldn't Exclude Anyone Due to Differences, But We Must Understand Those Resisting Propaganda

- Generally, I agree. We shouldn't exclude, as they say, anyone for various reasons, for their various differences, but we also need to understand those who resist such propaganda or promotion that aims to distinguish these communities. I'm thinking of people who organize these cyclical marches or parades, traveling from city to city. Who oppose such somewhat pushy propaganda - stated Ryszard Terlecki in an interview with Agata Adamek on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".

Nowacka:

PiS Politicians, by Remaining Silent After Białystok Events, Grant Permission for Hatred

"What makes me happy today is that marches and demonstrations against hatred are being organized across Poland. What happened in Białystok, and especially what happened a moment after, is disturbing. A rainbow, colorful Equality March proceeds, where people demand dignity, are insulted and spat upon, and then the police apprehend some of them. They receive very light punishments. For almost a full day, the Minister of Interior remains silent. PiS politicians, who usually speak loudly and radically on much more trivial matters, are silent. They do not stand by the citizens who are demonstrating their right to exist in society, they do not stand by freedom, equality, human dignity, but by cowardly silence, they grant permission for hatred," said Barbara Nowacka, leader of Inicjatywa Polska, in an interview with Wojciech Dąbrowski on Polsat News.

08:09

Terlecki:

I Understand Those Who Manifested Their Different Opinion, But I Do Not Approve in Any Way. On the Contrary, I Consider It Very Reprehensible Behaviour – Attacking
I understand those who manifested their different opinion [in Białystok], but of course I do not approve in any way. On the contrary, I consider it very reprehensible behaviour – attacking – stated Ryszard Terlecki in an interview with Agata Adamek on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".

08:09

Nowacka on the Left's Demonstration in Białystok: For what benefit, if not political, do parties suddenly announce such a joint initiative during an election campaign and try to make a topic out of it?

For what benefit, if not political, do parties suddenly announce such a joint initiative during an election campaign and try to make a topic out of it? Today, the topic should not be the [left-wing] demonstration in Białystok, but what to do to stop PiS from inciting hatred against non-heteronormative people and any other group that comes to their mind” – said the leader of Inicjatywa Polska, Barbara Nowacka, in an interview with Wojciech Dąbrowski on Polsat News.

08:09

Nowacka:

Schetyna Doesn't Want to Go to Białystok for Czarzasty's Demonstration. People Cannot Be Blackmailed into Participating in Their Protests

Grzegorz Schetyna doesn't want to go to Białystok for the demonstration organized by Mr. Czarzasty. We are in favour of registered partnerships and we will implement them. We will defend every person being destroyed and insulted by PiS, but people cannot be blackmailed into participating in their demonstration” – stated Barbara Nowacka, leader of Inicjatywa Polska, in an interview with Wojciech Dąbrowski on Polsat News.

08:16

Terlecki:

I Don't Know If Support Lists for the National Council of the Judiciary Need to be Published. I Don't Know What the Decision Will Be
It seems the deadline is July 30th, which is Tuesday. By then, the Chancellery will certainly make a decision. I don't know if they have to be published. There is, of course, a court ruling, but it's not a final decision. There are various premises. On the other hand, there are regulations like personal data protection. Please discuss this matter with the Chancellery. It's a problem, a matter for the Chancellery of the Sejm. The Chancellery will certainly act as it should, meaning the law will not be violated. I don't know what the decision will be, I have no idea - stated Ryszard Terlecki in an interview with Agata Adamek on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden," when asked when the support lists for candidates to the National Council of the Judiciary would be published. As the head of the PiS parliamentary club noted, the individuals who signed these documents may not necessarily want their data to be disclosed.

08:19

Terlecki:

The Political Committee's Presidium Will Convene Today. We Will Finalize Lists in 23 Constituencies. The Full Political Committee Will Meet on Tuesday to Approve These Lists.

- Today, the presidium of the [PiS] Political Committee will convene. We will finalize the lists in 23 constituencies. And on Tuesday, the entire Political Committee will meet to approve these lists. Then we will announce them. I think we will announce them rather in the constituencies, presenting the individual candidates - stated Ryszard Terlecki in an interview with Agata Adamek on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".

Bodnar on Białystok Events: It Turns Out Preparations for This March, Security, Police Activity, and a Certain Strategy Can Matter
- It turns out that the preparations for this march, the security, the police activity, a certain strategy can matter. If it can be prepared in a city of similar size, it can't be done in another. The second circumstance that needs to be taken into account here is the growing wave of hatred – said Adam Bodnar in a conversation with Jacek Żakowski on TOK FM's "Poranek".

08:21

Terlecki:

Some Individuals from Kukiz’15 Have Approached Us

- We don't know [how many people from Kukiz’15 will be on PiS lists]. There are indeed a few individuals who have declared they will not run in a coalition or on a joint list with PSL. Some of them have approached us. We'll see. There are indeed a few people. Yes, [Tomasz Rzymkowski's name] might appear – stated Ryszard Terlecki in an interview with Agata Adamek on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".

08:27

Terlecki on Coalition with PSL: "After the Elections, the World May Be Different. Much Can Change. We're Counting on an Independent Majority"
"After the elections, the world may be different. Much can change. We're counting on an independent majority. [If we don't have it], then we will think after the elections. I exclude some [coalitions], but there are various possibilities. I think after the elections, it will be an interesting topic of discussion" - stated Ryszard Terlecki in an interview with Agata Adamek on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden" when asked if he allowed for a coalition with the PSL after the elections.

08:30

Terlecki:

The President Likes to Scare Us Sometimes. None of Us Imagine He Could Retire, and He Certainly Won't After the Elections, But We'll See About 10 or 20 Years from Now

- The President likes to scare us like that sometimes. We're already a bit used to it, so we treat it with a smile. Of course, none of us can imagine the President retiring, and he certainly won't after the elections. As for what will happen in 10 or 20 years, we'll see. He likes to joke around with us like that sometimes - stated Ryszard Terlecki in an interview with Agata Adamek on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden" (One on One).

08:30

Bodnar:

Piontkowski's Statement Was Made, Sasin Distances Himself, While Czarnek Calls for Bans with No Reaction

- We had a statement from the Minister of National Education - Dariusz Piontkowski, who said that such marches should not be organized. Well, more delicately. Whether they should be organized. Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin distances himself from this. Other PiS politicians also say they respect the freedom to organize gatherings, and at the same time, a statement emerges from the Lublin Voivode Przemysław Czarnek, who says he is for banning such marches, and there is silence, no reaction, no attempt at discipline - said Adam Bodnar in an interview with Jacek Żakowski on TOK FM's "Poranek".

Paruch on Szczerski: A Man Who Possesses Many Essential Competencies for the Commissioner Role

[Krzysztof Szczerski] is a very good candidate. I have the pleasure of knowing the professor, both as a scientist and as a politician. It is worth remembering that in 2014, when the PiS program was being developed, the international section of that program was written, among others, by the professor. He is an outstanding politician, as he gained a great deal of experience at the office of President Duda. The Three Seas Initiative, the President's own concept, with Professor Szczerski in the background. It is worth reading some of the good books he has authored. A man who possesses many essential competencies needed for this position [of commissioner]” - said Prof. Waldemar Paruch on TVP1’s “Polityczny Kwadrans”.

09:54

Paruch:

A Pact to Lower the Level of Political Disputes is Needed. Every Ruling Camp Needs an Opposition That Realistically Views Government Decisions, Not One Functioning Solely in the Realm of Fiction and Political Chit-Chat
“The President [Kaczyński] made such a proposal to Schetyna that the opposition should establish who its leader is, and that this leader would possess special privileges in the Sejm, in the Sejm’s agenda. The opposition parties rejected this. We are returning to this offer. Perhaps not literally the same one, we will wait for the election results. But a political pact to lower the level of disputes is needed. The emotions that dominate politics often preclude substantive discussion. Every ruling camp needs an opposition that will realistically view the government’s substantive decisions, not one that functions solely in the realm of fiction and political chit-chat. This is often the case today” - said Prof. Waldemar Paruch in “Kwadrans polityczny” on TVP1.

Talks with Potential New Partners Have Begun': Kukiz'15 MP Suggests Running on PiS Lists
A proposal was made by Paweł Kukiz to all MPs to be the lead candidates in their respective constituencies. I told Paweł, 100 days before the election: thank you, I will not take advantage of this. I have no plans to run on the Kukiz'15 lists. I believe this is a fair way to put it. I am still in the Kukiz'15 club. I announced that I would not run. But at the same time, I do not hide the fact that talks have begun with other, potential, new partners in the context of a new term and new elections - stated Andrzej Maciejewski, an MP from Kukiz'15, on Radio Olsztyn. When asked about running on PiS lists, the parliamentarian replied: - Everything indicates that in the new elections, during the election campaign, we are awaiting official information and announcements from my colleagues that this will be the case. It's difficult to run with PiS while bearing the Kukiz'15 banner. - The topic has been raised [running on PiS lists], we are in the stage of serious discussions - he emphasized.

Civic Coalition Files Motion to Dismiss Sejm Marshal; Neumann Denounces Kuchciński's Family Flights as "Oligarchic Behavior"
"For several dozen hours, we have been outraged by the information that has come to light regarding Marshal Kuchciński. His and his family's use of government planes like a taxi that doesn't need to be paid for. For several dozen hours, we have not had a genuine reaction from the authorities, apart from idiotic explanations that one or two more people on board don't incur significant costs. The truth is that every such flight to Rzeszów costs tens of thousands of zlotys, and Marshal Kuchciński decided that he could transport his family back and forth at the taxpayer's expense. In civilized countries, such things lead to resignation. We hoped that within a few hours of the publication, the Marshal would resign on his own. As it turns out, the standards that apply in PiS are completely different. That is why today we are filing a motion to dismiss Marshal Kuchciński. We know that this is the end of the term, but symbolically, we must show that in a normal state, there is no consent for this type of oligarchic behavior by representatives of power," said the head of the Civic Coalition club, Sławomir Neumann, at a press conference. "The justification for this motion has been written by life itself. We have a marshal who cannot be asked a question, who walks around surrounded by 6 guards, whom a journalist and a member of parliament cannot question. He cannot travel with his family by plane, which he uses for official purposes, to his home for the weekend and back to Warsaw from the weekend. This is an abuse, a violation of the law. The Marshal lied when answering journalists' questions. Today we hear that there were 6 such cases, because we revealed 6. How many there were, we do not know. We demand full information on how many journeys from Warsaw to Rzeszów and back Marshal Kuchciński and his family made on this Sejm term. The Marshal must reveal this information, pay for these flights, and resign," added Sławomir Nitras from Civic Platform.

Marian Banaś: PiS's Candidate for Head of the Supreme Audit Office

- For many years, he worked at the Supreme Audit Office in various positions. As Deputy Minister of Finance in our government, he carried out a reform of the tax service and in 2016 was appointed head of the National Revenue Administration, and now he is the Minister of Finance - Ryszard Terlecki told PolskieRadio24.pl, thereby confirming that Marian Banaś is PiS's candidate for the position of President of the Supreme Audit Office.

As we wrote on 300POLITYCE, the election will take place at next week's additional Sejm session on July 31. Then, later in the same week, the Senate will approve this candidacy, and the swearing-in will likely occur at another additional Sejm session on August 30.

PMM:

Poland Must Be a Spa and Tourism Powerhouse, and We're on the Right Track
I cannot imagine the state not helping the Marshal of the [Lower Silesian] Voivodeship, with whom we cooperate very closely on many projects, with the reconstruction of this building, its therapeutic potential. We want people to be able to continue to receive treatment here, to come from all over Poland and Europe. This is a well-known center, and let it spread the name of Polish nature cure and Polish health resorts throughout Europe, and perhaps even wider. It is very important for us that the state can step in to places that have been affected by unfortunate incidents like this. We will not say that one should have taken out insurance, because we know that there are extraordinary life situations when the state must intervene, appear, and help - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the Nature Cure Establishment in Szczawno Zdrój. Poland must be a spa and tourism powerhouse, and we are on the right track. We are a very popular destination, with more tourists year after year, also in spa treatment, and we want the coming years to lead us to even greater growth in this industry, this type of treatment. Therefore, as the Polish state, we commit to helping rebuild the buildings that burned down here and to restore the splendor of Szczawno Zdrój - added PMM.

Kuchciński to Cover Costs of Family Flights on Government Plane, Funds to Be Donated to Charity

Marek Kuchciński, the Marshal of the Sejm, has announced that he will cover the costs of flights taken by his family members on a government plane. The funds will be transferred to charitable organizations. This decision comes after public scrutiny regarding the use of official aircraft for personal travel. Kuchciński stated his intention to reimburse the state for these expenses and direct the money towards good causes, aiming to mitigate the controversy surrounding the issue.

19:37

Horała:

The Opposition Fabricates Fictitious Scandals. It Was Tusk Who Flew His Girlfriend's Boyfriend on a Government Plane While Marshal Borusewicz Flew Home to Walk His Dog

"This is yet another instance where the opposition, lacking anything substantial to accuse the PiS government of, creates some fictitious, non-existent scandals. We remember the times when Prime Minister Tusk would fly his girlfriend's boyfriend on a government plane, while Marshal Borusewicz would dash home on a government plane to walk his dog. That was the moment to be outraged, not now. Marshal Kuchciński is the second highest-ranking official in the state. It has always been the case, this wasn't introduced by PiS, that such individuals are entitled to flights on a government plane, and when that plane is flying, it truly doesn't matter whether there's one or four people on board, the cost remains unchanged" - said Marcin Horała of PiS in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on "Wydarzenia i opinie" (Events and Opinions) on Polsat News.

19:38

Horała on Kuchciński's Decision: He Wants to Be Holier Than the Pope, Shows That If There's Controversy, Even Without Abuse of Power, the Marshal Fixes It

[Kuchciński] wants to be holier than the Pope, showing that if there is controversy, even though he has every right to do so, even though there is no question of any breach of law or abuse of power, if there is a societal perception that it's a lack of modesty, then the Marshal will rectify it and donate this small amount of funds to social causes. Although, there will probably be a problem with how to value it, because when a plane flies, the cost of the flight doesn't change depending on the number of people. Perhaps we will adopt the value of LOT tickets” – said Marcin Horała from PiS in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski in „Wydarzenia i opinie” on Polsat News.

19:44

Kierwiński:

The Government Refuses Money to People with Disabilities, Denies Many Social Groups, While the Marshal Flies His Whole Family on State Funds. This is an Example of Arrogance and Hubris

Standards in PiS are very strange. There is an affair. The Marshal is indeed entitled to a government plane, but his family is not. If someone treats a government plane as a private taxi, hiding this information, it means the Marshal has something to be ashamed of. If the government refuses money to people with disabilities, denies many social groups, and the Marshal flies his whole family on state money. This is an example of arrogance and hubris” – said Marcin Kierwiński from PO in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on "Wydarzenia i opinie" on Polsat News.

Zandberg on Participation in the Left's March: My State is the Republic of Poland, Not a Bandit-Nazi Republic, and it is the Duty of Politicians to Bravely Stand in its Defense

I noted with great sympathy the leader of the Warsaw branch of the Polish People's Party, Mr. Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski, who announced his presence, who believes that such marches against violence unite people above political divisions – said Adrian Zandberg in an interview with Grzegorz Kajdanowicz on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach".

I would be happiest if I saw Minister Witek and the Prime Minister in Białystok on Sunday – continued the leader of Razem.

Millions of Poles want the state and politicians to tell them that their safety is important to them, the most important thing, that they can say it together. I have such hope that this will succeed, but I am also convinced that this is our duty, because my state is the Republic of Poland, not a bandit-Nazi Republic, and it is the duty of politicians to bravely stand in its defense – stated Zandberg.

20:01

Zandberg:

People Disliking the PiS Government Are Very Diverse, and Trying to Reduce Them to a Single Denominator Was Bound to Fail

- We are diverse, and this is something we've been saying for years. People who dislike the Law and Justice government are very diverse and hold very different views, and the attempt to reduce them all to a single denominator was simply bound to fail – said Adrian Zandberg in an interview with Grzegorz Kajdanowicz on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach".

20:07

Zgorzelski on Participation in Sunday's March in Białystok: There Will Be Many People's Party Members from Podlasie

- Professor Bartoszewski is a member of the Polish People's Party (PSL). There will be many People's Party members from Podlasie. I wanted to very strongly agree with Adrian Zandberg here. Poland is one. There is no Poland A, there is no Poland B, there is no provincial or big-city Poland, and that is why we should all, especially politicians, ensure that every citizen simply feels good in this Poland, as if in their own home - said Piotr Zgorzelski in an interview with Grzegorz Kajdanowicz on "Fakty po faktach" on TVN24.

20:08

Miller:

Kuchciński faces another problem, beyond flights, concerning misinterpretation that misleads the public.
The problem lies elsewhere, because Marshal Kuchciński is attesting to falsehoods. This is because statements were made that these were not private flights, but official ones. Meanwhile, it turns out that the plane was used for purely private purposes, not official ones. So, Marshal Kuchciński has yet another problem. Not only with the flights themselves, but also with interpretations that simply border on misleading the public, and this is even worse than the affair with the flights – stated Leszek Miller in a conversation with Grzegorz Kajdanowicz on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach".

20:11

Miller:

Terlecki's statement was not only brazen towards the public, but bordered on contempt for all those who listened

- That statement by Marshal Terlecki [that he didn't regret not flying with Marek Kuchciński because he could have said how pleasant it was] was not only brazen towards the public, but bordered on contempt for all those who listened. I was an eyewitness to that scene and I thought to myself: no way - stated Leszek Miller in an interview with Grzegorz Kajdanowicz on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach".

20:11

Zgorzelski:

The opposition made a commitment to compete amongst ourselves, while the opponent is on the entirely opposite side

- It is better if there are three blocs in the opposition that have ideological cohesion first. Secondly, it is a tripled number of candidates who can fight PiS, and thirdly, we in the opposition have made a commitment that we will compete amongst ourselves, while the opponent is on the entirely opposite side - said Piotr Zgorzelski in an interview with Grzegorz Kajdanowicz on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach".

20:20

Miller:

PiS Won in Poland, But Lost in Europe

- I was in favour of maintaining the European Coalition because, yes, the coalition lost, but only by 7 percentage points. Moreover, PiS won in Poland, but lost in Europe. This awareness that they lost in Europe should become increasingly noticeable within PiS. I think the grimaces they're putting on, intended to cover this up, are only masking their anxiety about what will happen next, because the issue of the Commissioner and so on is approaching. So I was in favour of this broad coalition, but alas, the PSL took out the first brick from this foundation, and now there's a different idea. The PSL probably decided they couldn't do otherwise, because they got scared that the slogans of cultural and societal leftism were negatively impacting their electorate, they retreated, and now we have a different landscape. We'll see what all this ends up with - stated Leszek Miller in an interview with Grzegorz Kajdanowicz on TVN24's 'Fakty po faktach'.
