"Only a united opposition has a chance to fight PiS" - Radio Zet reported in the morning, citing a Kantar poll. According to the station, 40% of respondents declare support for PiS in the upcoming autumn elections, and only a united opposition - also consisting of PSL and SLD - has a chance to compete with PiS, as they are 3 percentage points behind the leader.  300POLITYKA confirmed with Kantar Public that such a study was indeed conducted. - In recent days, the Polish National Foundation (PFN) lost a court appeal concerning an absurd campaign under the slogan "Free Courts" [referring to "Just Courts" - ed.]. The PFN tried to prove that this campaign was a campaign that met the conditions for promoting and protecting Poland's image. This is obvious foolishness, and the court confirmed that this campaign was not carried out in accordance with the foundation's statute. Therefore, we are calling on Minister Piotr Gliński to conduct an audit of this foundation. This foundation reports to him. We will also request that the former presidents of this foundation, Mr. Cezary Jurkiewicz and Maciej Świrski, return 8.5 million PLN, which they spent from the foundation's funds, which are maintained by State Treasury companies - said Robert Kropiwnicki during a press conference in the Sejm.

There are politicians who think that politics is sometimes, one can get the impression, like summer dog days, some kind of joke, a provocation, some mockery of someone, and then we move on. As long as the PR is good and it keeps going. This is not the case. Because politics is about something completely different. Politics is about responsibility, first and foremost, hard, honest work. It's not fireworks, but the everyday reality that must be dealt with in order to solve problems. But politics is about serving other people, and everyone who enters politics must remember this, and those politicians who sometimes forget it should be reminded, and today I also want to remind them of this. This is not a joke, it is not the dog days, it is not some petty provocation or, one might say, sometimes child's play, but a serious matter. We made a commitment to Poles in 2015 to implement a program that was primarily the result of the expectations and needs for the change that citizens spoke to us about so often during meetings back then. And most of these things, both social programs and investment and development programs, have been implemented. Therefore, I can stand before you today and say openly, with my head held high: we have fulfilled our commitments, although it was not always easy, although our work did not always proceed as we would have liked, at that pace, but we overcame successive problems. We faced challenges and even when we made mistakes, we were able to learn from them and move forward. - This quasi-reform consists of replacing personnel and the intention is to make judges more compliant with power, which is utterly unacceptable in a state of law, because a state of law relies on the equal division of power. - Recently we are being called post-communists because those slogans about corrupt thieves didn't catch on, as there were no such cases, so now we are post-communists. It was 9 cases that were shown repeatedly and a lot of money was even spent on those billboards. Some citizens thought that perhaps they were thieves. - Among prominent representatives of PiS are also people who belonged to a party. It's not terribly degrading, one needs to prove someone's guilt. This so-called reform is intended to replace personnel. It hasn't contributed to shortening proceedings or to better prosecution of disciplinary omissions, but rather there's constant pressure on judges to be compliant. Minister Ziobro said so himself during a convention. And the authorities cannot be judges of judges – said Małgorzata Gersdorf in Kropka.

- It was to be expected that President Kaczyński would not testify. And what's more, the lawyers who submitted these motions were still full of trust in the judiciary and the prosecution. This is unfortunately the reality, but it shows that the so-called ordinary person has no reason to expect protection if they stand up against the ruling party or the state. And this is dangerous. And I would very much like to show citizens that proceedings are not conducted, that there are "extraction arrests" [detention for the purpose of extracting information], proceedings are prolonged and silenced. This means that if a citizen stands up against the state, the same will happen. It's not as if we can sit back and say, "This is Birgfellner, and why should I care?" because it could be that any one of us might care. The independence of the prosecution and the courts is the foundation of the rule of law - said Małgorzata Gersdorf in Kropka nad I.

- This is a whole sequence. We have a prosecutor's office - we didn't protest much, and that's a mistake. We have a Constitutional Tribunal that is compliant and rules as the authorities wish, and now we are to have the Supreme Court like that too - Małgorzata Gersdorf said on Kropka.

- I don't know how the Constitutional Tribunal works, because we don't go there, and there are no reports like there used to be. It operates based on its current judges and, as is apparent, functions according to the intended goals of the Ministry of Justice - Małgorzata Gersdorf said in the program 'Kropka'.

- The President believes he can do anything. He believes he can step in for the judiciary and pardon, that he can make judgments. He cannot. The Constitutional Tribunal rules as it rules. One can issue a pardon, a safe-conduct without a conviction, stating that someone is innocent in a given case. This is not the rule of law and a state governed by law if we do not respect the competences of authorities - said Małgorzata Gersdorf in Kropka.

- Yes, I saw it, I saw [the situation from Węgrów]. Indeed, it is behavior that shows the true face of those who are in opposition today. That cackling at ordinary people. And again, it was the same [when they went the second time]. They simply don't respect people. Besides, this was visible on various occasions. They also don't respect democracy because they mock ordinary people, they don't respect views other than their own, and that is precisely cackling at democracy, because in a democracy, the nation chooses its representatives. We respect democracy, the elections that take place. We present an election program, we are credible. This is extremely important in a democracy.
