The government's solution is expected to be adopted today. The same applies to the special bill concerning Westerplatte, which received a positive opinion from the infrastructure committee yesterday. The Sejm investigative committee for VAT fraud will convene for two sessions: at 8:00 AM, MPs will hold discussions behind closed doors, and from 9:00 AM, they will question Stanisław Jarosz, followed by Wiesław Pomorski.

As we know from the media, one of the opposition parliamentarians voted differently. He explained that he made a mistake, but it was this very body that decided this. - The European Council summit, during which we discussed personnel proposals. It was a summit indeed full of emotions, and as one could imagine at the beginning of this selection process, it would be. Consequently, on one hand, there were some disputes, some emotions, but in the end, we reached an agreement. On the other hand, we have a strategic interest for years to come, for 25-50 years, for a very long perspective, namely an EU that is a union including European states, that as a continent wants to work as a whole on improving its competitiveness, improving communication between individual parts. I think that once these emotions subside, this arduous process of improving the political situation in the Balkans, and at the same time presenting a certain perspective to the Balkans, will not only continue, as it is ongoing all the time, but will even gain momentum. So I am an optimist, at least a moderate optimist, when it comes to the further course of this process. It will, of course, take a few more years, a good few years, but I think this strategic reflection will return to everyone, and there will be an opportunity to truly work through these assumptions and negotiation chapters. Later, when the negotiation process for individual countries opens up to the EU, countries that are making many efforts, e.g., Macedonia, which agreed to change the name of its country, which was a condition for starting preliminary talks. And I think we must keep our word. During an evening session, MPs adopted the presidential draft amendment to the act on supporting borrowers in difficult financial situations who have taken out housing loans, and the act on corporate income tax, referred to as the so-called presidential Swiss franc bill.

During parliamentary work, provisions related to the establishment of the so-called Conversion Fund were removed from the draft. However, the proposal expands the scope of the Borrower Support Fund – it assumes, for instance, a twofold increase in the income threshold for eligibility for support.
