At 9:00 AM, in front of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, Mateusz Morawiecki will participate in the launch of an information campaign concerning the Rodzina 500+ program in its expanded form, now including the first child.

Subsequently, the Prime Minister will travel to the Pomeranian Voivodeship, where at 11:30 AM he will attend a ceremony for the signing of three agreements aimed at improving railway access to the ports of Gdańsk and Gdynia. At 12:50 PM, he is scheduled to participate in the opening session of the 2nd edition of the Development Vision Forum, and at 1:30 PM, he will attend the 35th anniversary celebrations of Fighting Solidarity, Trójmiasto Branch.

Mateusz Morawiecki will also be on a visit to Dresden today. The head of the Polish government will meet with the Prime Minister of Saxony, Michael Kretschmer, at 5:10 PM, and with the President of the Bundestag, Wolfgang Schäuble, at 5:25 PM. Later, at 6:00 PM, the Prime Minister will participate in the opening of the European Forum for Research and Innovation.

President Andrzej Duda will visit Wielkopolska, where at 4:30 PM he will meet with residents of the Ostrów County, and at 7:00 PM, with residents of the Krotoszyn County.

Grzegorz Schetyna will also be visiting Wielkopolska. The leader of Civic Platform will meet with the Mayor of Bojanów, Maciej Dubiel, at 1:30 PM. A press conference with Schetyna, the Mayor of Poznań, Jacek Jaśkowiak, local government officials, and parliamentarians is scheduled for 1:45 PM.

At 2:00 PM in Gołaszyn, the opposition leader will meet with residents of Bojanów, local government officials, and MPs. The last scheduled event is a meeting of the Wielkopolska Regional Council of Civic Platform at 6:00 PM.

Also today, the ECJ will issue a ruling on the complaint filed by the European Commission against Poland regarding changes in the Supreme Court, which would have led to the dismissal of some judges, including its President, Małgorzata Gersdorf. The ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party ultimately withdrew from the so-called 'retirement purge' last year.

– By a decision of the political committee, Beata Szydło will lead the campaign with me, she will be one of the faces, popular, recognizable faces in Poland for this campaign. I think there shouldn't be party divisions here. - The Commissioner for Human Rights exists to be a spokesperson, to be elected precisely to speak out according to the law and their own discretion. It seems to me that [Adam Bodnar] is one of the best Commissioners for Human Rights in history. I also have the opportunity to observe his work in areas that receive little media attention. We are discussing cases of harassment of female soldiers in the army, and here the Commissioner is helping. There is no big show, it's not medial at all. - The goal was rather for some European Union countries, after such a significant success of green parties in Western Europe, to make what could be called a gesture towards this electorate. - Due to the fact that Poland's energy sector is based on coal, these costs would be higher than in some Western EU states. We want others to understand this, show solidarity, and participate in the costs of transforming our industry or energy supply. We see this in a broader context. „We are building the Westerplatte Museum, an outdoor, good Westerplatte Museum, which will attract tourists from home and abroad, and I wish for the city to also cooperate with us, for city representatives to be part of some committee that will refine, for example, the concept of this museum. The concept exists, but there are still various details that can be discussed,” he added.

„We will build the museum [at Westerplatte]. The museum belongs to Poles, it belongs to the world, the museum of Westerplatte and the defensive war of 1939 in this symbolic, sacred place for Poles, which is Westerplatte. The city, for a quarter of a century, managing most of this area, has not done this and has neglected this area, and was only interested in Westerplatte once a year on September 1st at forty-five past four, organizing anniversary ceremonies. And that's good, for that I thank the city, it is a good tradition that such ceremonies take place, but on the remaining 364 days of the year, the city was not interested in Westerplatte” – said Deputy Minister of Culture Jarosław Sellin in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

- I am very pleased that we can now begin the second, and also very essential, phase of the 500+ program. A phase in which every child will be able to receive these funds, which are a kind of lifelong insurance policy until they reach maturity – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in front of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (KPRM).

- Our information tour across Poland is intended to ensure that all families can benefit from this program from the very beginning. 500 times 12 equals 6,000 PLN annually, which is a form of support for various needs, such as buying clothes during the year, a cinema ticket for the whole family, or some favorite shoes, sportswear for children. These may seem like small, insignificant matters to some, but I am convinced that for millions of Polish families, these are essential matters – the Prime Minister continued. He added:

"This is an excellent, the best investment in our nation's future. Already today we see that there are many more children, children are appearing, being born compared to the statistics presented by the Central Statistical Office (GUS) 4-5 years ago. And in short periods of time, a few years is a short period for demography, these forecasts do not change so quickly. Therefore, the fact that there are tens of thousands more children annually is a great merit of Polish families, I hope with modest, but significant, support also from the Polish state, because the Polish state wants to support Polish families. This is a social revolution, one can boldly say."

- Today we are launching a communication campaign regarding the extension of this program to all Polish families with children – emphasized the head of the Polish government, also encouraging electronic application submission.

“The Presidential Chancellery is not commenting on this. Speaking from my own perspective, a ombudsman writing that they believe the direct coercive measures used were inadequate is a counterproductive action. We have regulations that clearly state that if an offender commits an act using a dangerous tool, then such measures can obviously be applied” – said presidential minister Paweł Mucha in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski in Radio Plus’s “Sedno Sprawy”.

- Of course, the decision is not mine, so I will not be the one announcing it. And I am pleased that this name is also mentioned in a positive context by Polish commentators. I can only say one thing - the President has certainly given his consent for my name to be put into the pool. [My name] has been put into the pool, however, regarding the [EU] commissioner's role, that is a decision, and the Polish government will present candidates - stated Krzysztof Szczerski on "Sygnały dnia" PR1, when asked if he was vying for the position of NATO Deputy Secretary General.

- I received the President's consent, my name has been put into the pool, but the procedure is ongoing. I really ask you to inquire with the NATO side [about when the result will be known]. As I said, in this regard, I received the President's consent for my name to be put forward - he emphasized.

"I dedicate to my critics a look at the solutions adopted in countries that the opposition very often holds up as an example to us, the United Right government, for instance, France or Germany. Their legislation significantly restricts the possibility of foreign capital purchasing media. "If you ask me about the tools of action that, in my opinion, would be worth taking, and whether we will take them, we will discuss in two weeks at the Congress in Katowice, that tool should be deconcentration regulations, and of course, this deconcentration must occur on normal, market principles," he added.

„I'm not talking about re-nationalization of media, but re-polonization. It's something entirely different. I believe state influence on media should be limited only to public media – to public radio and television. If this influence were too great, it would also be bad from the perspective of pluralism. It's not the case that there was a free market game over the last 20 years. We were economically devastated after the communist era. There was no adequate Polish private capital” – said Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin on Radio Kraków.

In two and a half years, we are to have full readiness of this railway infrastructure, which we are committing to build today. Infrastructure that will significantly increase transport capabilities for receiving goods and make the Tricity, Gdańsk, and Gdynia, primarily these ports, the true number one hub in the Baltic Sea, and we are heading in that direction. The Ministry of Interior and Administration (MSWiA) has announced a definitive stance on the controversial proposal of taxing childless individuals. Minister Elżbieta Witek has decided that no work will be undertaken on this concept.

This decision, communicated via the official MSWiA Twitter account (https://twitter.com/MSWiA_GOV_PL/status/1143098374356459520), effectively shuts down any further discussion or legislative efforts related to implementing such a tax in Poland.

The idea of a tax on childless citizens has been a recurring topic of debate in Polish politics, often framed as a measure to encourage higher birth rates and support family policies. However, it has also faced significant criticism for potentially infringing on individual freedoms and being discriminatory.

The Ministry's statement indicates a clear rejection of this policy, signaling that it does not align with the government's current priorities or approach to family support and demographic challenges.

“I am referring to the words of Deputy Minister Szefernakier, who states that (...) greater local government powers lead to federalization and partition. These are absurd arguments. If someone says this, and they are a PiS politician, they are discrediting the entire formation. One cannot attack local governments today. Local governments need to be supported,” said PO leader Grzegorz Schetyna in Gołaszyn.

„What is a huge problem today is the school system, the fear of reform, the effects of Minister Zalewska’s deformation, who is already preparing for holidays in Brussels, while the problem falls on the heads of local government officials. It’s not just parents who will have this problem. For local government officials – [for them] the problem of the double-year intake is starting already today, it will explode in September” – said the PO (Civic Platform) leader Grzegorz Schetyna in Gołaszyn.

„Lack of reaction to problems with doctors, staff, lack of good NFZ (National Health Fund) policy will cause the healthcare problem to intensify. Today, European money is needed, investments are needed, large sums of money are needed in healthcare so that patients can say the situation is improving. We have spoken very clearly about this problem. We will present it in our program, which we will adopt in July” – he added.

The Court of Justice of the European Union has ruled in a dispute between Poland and the European Commission regarding the lowering of the retirement age for Supreme Court judges. Poland has lost this case.

The background to this ruling stems from the changes introduced by the Polish government concerning the retirement age of Supreme Court judges, which the European Commission considered to be in conflict with EU law. The Commission argued that these changes undermined the independence of the judiciary.

The CJEU's decision is a significant one, reinforcing the principle of judicial independence within the European Union and potentially impacting future legislative actions by member states that may affect the judiciary.

„I am convinced that what we are discussing with the Polish People's Party, tax-free pensions – how to make gross pay for low or small salaries not burdened by additional taxation. This is a challenge for us today, and we will talk about it during the election campaign and we will make these promises before the elections, because it is important. Money must be where it is most needed” – said Civic Platform leader Grzegorz Schetyna in Gołaszyn.

"Every Polish candidacy in European, global, and important organizations like NATO is necessary and we will support it. The only question is what needs to be done and whether support for this candidacy [of Krzysztof Szczerski] has been effectively built beyond the United States. As far as I know, this candidacy has not been agreed upon with Germany and France. It would be a shame. If this candidacy appears in public space, I hope it is not to burn it down, but rather that with the support of the majority of NATO countries, it will be supported as an investment in Poland's sovereign position and the importance of Polish interests," said PO Chairman Grzegorz Schetyna in Gołaszyn.

„If such a situation arises where Donald Tusk is the candidate [for the President of the European Commission], I will be eagerly rooting and doing everything possible for Donald Tusk to reach the position of the President of the European Commission or the most important roles dedicated to the most significant politicians in Europe. This is what the discussion in Europe is about today, not yet about the appointments of commissioners” – stated the Civic Platform (PO) leader, Grzegorz Schetyna, in Gołaszyn.

- My personal dream and conviction is that precisely these institutions of the European Union should be strengthened. The European Council and the European Parliament, because that is where our democratically elected representation lies, and they should have the greatest possible strength within the Union, just like national parliaments - said President Andrzej Duda during a meeting with residents of Ostrów Wielkopolski.

"Fundamentally, the question for us is this: do you want to go it alone, because a great many SLD members are putting forward this demand, that the party go it alone, or if the party is not to go it alone, do you want us to choose partners. The SLD authorities, the board which I have the pleasure of leading, will then sit down for coalition talks. Can we conduct these talks, or can't we? We can, the result of which is the 5 MEPs we got into the European Parliament, and in this regard, SLD members trust us" - said the head of SLD, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, on Polskie Radio 24.

"Indeed, I would wish for the PSL to be in this coalition. Just three weeks ago, Władek Kosiniak-Kamysz and I were traveling to different districts and voivodeships every day, and we were shouting, holding each other warmly and nicely by the hand, 'united opposition, European Coalition'. I know Władek. Władek is a peasant by upbringing and character. He doesn't change his views every three weeks" - said the head of SLD, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, on Polskie Radio 24.

“We apologize and ask for forgiveness. The bishops announced this in their time. Wise patterns should be maintained. I myself was not always wise. I myself attacked. There was a time for attack, a time for struggle. At this moment, I believe it is time for cooperation. We are putting everything behind us. As for the Together Party, I hold this party in great esteem” - said the head of the SLD, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, on Polish Radio 24.

- The Prime Minister has fulfilled the government's position agreed upon over recent months, and now let's tell the truth about what happened last week at the European Council: firstly, our view on raising ambitions regarding the 2050 climate neutrality target was shared by several other member states, and the conclusions adopted by everyone state that the energy transformation must take into account the geographical, territorial diversity, and the readiness and location of individual states. France's energy mix is 80% based on nuclear power, and in that context, reaching the 2050 neutrality target is significantly less costly. Therefore, demanding a similar goal from us means lowering the competitiveness of our economy - said Jadwiga Emilewicz, Minister of Entrepreneurship and Technology, in FpF.

- We are starting a serious discussion that will require very detailed, specific conclusions in the autumn of this year and spring of next. It's about aligning goals with capabilities, including financial instruments. Today, together with Minister Szymański, we presented our position on EU industrial policy. We are one of the first countries to have prepared this position, and we sent it to the European Commission today. And in this position, adopted by the Committee for European Affairs before last week's Council, we have outlined four fundamental goals that industrial policy should be guided by, including one goal concerning climate. And within this climate goal, we have enshrined the necessity of establishing an Energy Transition Fund, which will allow us to enhance the competitiveness of the European economy and enable countries like Poland to adapt to the goal of climate neutrality. Whether that will be the year 2050 or slightly later is a matter for negotiation - said Jadwiga Emilewicz, head of the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology, in FpF.

- It's high time that those who contribute to the state, meaning taxpayers, finally receive something from it. We are all taxpayers, but we can boldly say that it's time for programs for working people, time for incentives for those who want to combine retirement with work, time for reduced taxes, and a tax-free amount - said Katarzyna Lubnauer in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" on Polsat News.

- We do not question the report or the state of the climate. This government has prepared itself in terms of measuring air quality. It wasn't us who got a scolding in the ECJ ruling, but our predecessors for their inaction regarding the previous perspective. This government has made a huge effort to improve air quality. Who is responsible for 70% of global greenhouse gas emissions? China, the USA, and India. Let's face the truth. If we suddenly decided that Poland would cut all greenhouse gas emissions this year, if we decided today to shut down cars, shut down factories. Does that change anything? No, nothing changes. At the same time, we are launching a program for prosumers - said Jadwiga Emilewicz in FpF.

I stated in January that this year, power equivalent to a 200MW block, which is 50% of Poland's energy sector, will be installed on Polish rooftops. And we are well on our way. The Polish Chamber of Energy has stated that we are capable of moving from 9th to 4th place in installed capacity – Jadwiga Emilewicz said in FpF.

- We've seen 11,000 new rooftop photovoltaic installations in the first quarter of this year. Thanks to a single rooftop installation: a 6kWh system on an average-sized single-family home in Poland, we are reducing CO2 emissions by 5,000 tons. These are tangible things we are doing. The largest photovoltaic farm in Warsaw will be located on the roof of my ministry, complete with an energy storage system - said Jadwiga Emilewicz in FpF.

- Deputy Prime Minister Sasin, alarmed by the EC's letter concerning furnaces, summoned us to a meeting. It was we who stated that energy poverty is one of the causes of low emissions in Poland, which is why we launched the Clean Air program aimed at replacing boilers and thermal modernization.
