- I can officially confirm that the negotiations for a political agreement concerning the increase of the American military presence in Poland have been concluded between Poland and the USA. However, this does not yet signify an agreement, as the outcome of these negotiations will be presented to the presidents, and the presidents will decide whether this agreement satisfies them as the political leaders of both countries. If so, we anticipate the adoption of this political agreement during President Andrzej Duda's visit to the White House on June 12th - said Krzysztof Szczerski in an interview with Katarzyna Gójska on "Sygnały dnia" on Polish Radio Channel One.

– It's not a matter of belief, but rather evidence, but I'll say right away that when I read this letter [by Marek Falenta], published today, I thought to myself that it's written in such a way that President Duda cannot pardon the author of this letter. Because it looks like blackmail, and if the president were to act according to the author's intention, he would expose himself to very serious criticism – stated Leszek Miller in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego", when asked if he believes that people from PiS persuaded Marek Falenta to record his political rivals.

– Mr. Falenta is, it seems, sentenced to 2.5 years in prison. And in this situation, everyone does what they can to get out of prison. Before the term, of course – emphasized the former prime minister.

– I was informed by the Prague prosecutor's office that my meeting with Aleksander Kwaśniewski was recorded, and the prosecutor asked me if I was indeed there at that time, etc. I [did not hear the recording]. I don't think it exists; there are only the waiters' testimonies – stated Leszek Miller in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

- It seems to me that two possibilities are reasonably realistic. Either Mr. Falenta started this because he was counting on business profits, because it's good to know what businessmen are doing, what their plans are, etc., or he had some contact with special services, the question is just which ones - stated Leszek Miller in a conversation with Konrad Piasecki in "Piasecki's Conversation" on TVN24.

- The D'Hondt method is absolutely ruthless, and the left felt this much more acutely than everyone else in 2015. That's why I am a proponent of a grand coalition, but I am also a proponent of a grand coalition where we can reach an understanding, not just play for ourselves – said Barbara Nowacka in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News's "Graffiti".

- If I am asked for anything, for any kind of help, a simple sense of loyalty will tell me that I should get involved - he emphasized.

- Frankly speaking, I look with a certain sadness. Primarily at how Spring's voters today have every right to feel disappointed. Three seats are not a great result. When we look at Robert Biedroń's personal result, given how he was presented as the great hope, and in fact in a constituency that is a parliamentary district for Warsaw, he gets 58,000 votes, which is 8,000 more than Adrian Zandberg in 2015 – Barbara Nowacka said in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News's "Graffiti".

- It would be a mistake [to divide the opposition into a Christian-democratic, centrist, and left-wing bloc] because it doesn't account for the influence of Professor D'Hondt. - We need to question the credibility of Wiosna at this stage. - Let's stick with Schetyna, but not at any cost. This is a matter of chances and opportunities to bring SLD representatives into the Sejm. Włodzimierz Czarzasty and the SLD leadership must always assess this. We also need to have a Plan B, a reserve option. If not with Schetyna, then we need to know with whom. Then in some agreement, not only with Biedroń, but the entire left-wing bloc, although that would be a worse option - stated Leszek Miller in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

"Mr. Falenta is not a very credible person, but I wouldn't dismiss what he writes in a situation where he faces imprisonment. He is clearly trying to obtain a presidential pardon, which is understandable because, unlike me, President Duda does not always adhere to the principle that should be sacred: that he first consults the court and prosecutor's office, and does not make decisions without them. The President has pardoning his party colleagues on his conscience. Mr. Falenta has the right to expect that his request will also be handled exceptionally" - said former president Bronisław Komorowski in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

„PiS lost to the European Coalition in the age group that pays the most taxes, because they lost in the 29-49 age group. These are people at the peak of their professional development. The opposition, if it wants to effectively fight PiS, should, among other things, advocate for people who with great difficulty bear the burden of responsibility for their own lives, for their own families, and who also pay taxes to the state treasury. These are not just business people. It's a huge part of the administration” - said former president Bronisław Komorowski in a conversation with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

"I would wish for the PSL, as a stronger Christian-Democratic and Conservative anchor within the opposition coalition, precisely with that significant moderating role on certain issues that undoubtedly did not serve the coalition as a whole during the elections, to be a part of the coalition" - said former President Bronisław Komorowski in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

“I appreciate that, although late, a process of what seems to be, though it's not entirely certain yet, but seemingly the unification of two very similar political circles [PO and Nowoczesna], concerning their electoral profile, is taking place. I mean PO and Nowoczesna. As I understand it, these parties have with difficulty agreed on forming a joint parliamentary club. It's a shame, because had it happened a few months ago, the political effect would likely have been greater. But I hope that even such a policy of small steps leads towards a clear process of unification of both – as I've already said – very similar circles. And this is a positive direction” – said former president Bronisław Komorowski in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

- The rule is very simple. I never discuss my conversations with Grzegorz Schetyna in the media. I am convinced that we all understand the importance of each group that will form the - I hope - broad coalition for the autumn elections, having significant representation on the election lists, and that this representation will have a real chance of getting into parliament - stated Katarzyna Lubnauer in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

- Regarding 500+, there is a very clear declaration, signed on the occasion of the local elections, where we stated that this program will remain without any changes. We will keep it, and all the theories that PiS promotes are simply blatant lies and manipulation - stated Katarzyna Lubnauer in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

“This is a proposal by local government officials supported by Civic Platform. These are local government officials who won the last local government elections running with the support of various groups, but primarily Platform and that entire coalition. They are today proposing proposals that would completely overturn the current functioning of the state, turn it upside down. I was convinced that it was simply impossible for anyone in their right mind to propose such a solution” – said Deputy Minister Paweł Szefernaker on Jedynka radio. 

- At the Council of Europe, Poland's ambassador voted to lift sanctions against Russia. After 2014, following the illegal annexation of Crimea, the Russian delegation had its voting rights suspended by the Council of Europe. This situation lasted for five years, and at this moment, the vote by the Polish ambassador, I understand at the behest of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, has led to Russia having the possibility to return to the Council of Europe - said Aleksander Pociej during a press conference in the Sejm.

- This must be subject to verification. We appeal to the parliamentarians of Law and Justice not to simply succumb to this recommendation from their own government. To reverse this stance, so that Polish parliamentarians do not lend a hand to the return of the Russian delegation to the Council of Europe debates - added Andrzej Halicki.

“When Civic Platform was in power, they liquidated police stations, over 400 police stations were eliminated. These local government theses fit somewhat into the dismantling of the state. The liquidation of Polish Post branches, police stations. We stand for a strong state, for one Poland. Provincial Poland and Central Poland are one Poland. Every Pole, regardless of where they live, has the right to the same. Poles are equal. We will not divide Poles, and in my opinion, these proposals divide Poles” - said Deputy Minister Paweł Szefernaker on Radio Jedynka. 

- A manifestation of the desperation of a man who has been lawfully convicted by the court. The prosecution accused Marek Falenta when I was the Prosecutor General. He had a thousand opportunities, and more, to reveal who was behind him. It could have helped him in his predicament, as he was accused by the court. Until the end, he maintained his innocence. Now, in desperation, he is fabricating stories, deluding himself that it might protect him from responsibility. It will not protect him, because in Poland, the law works and will continue to work - stated Zbigniew Ziobro in an interview with journalists in the Sejm.

- His requests directed to me on multiple occasions to initiate a pardon process were always treated the same. I left them in my drawer because I saw no grounds to grant such requests - added the Minister of Justice and Prosecutor General.

- The Polish Penal Code provides for the institution of a "small cooperating witness" (mały świadek koronny). This means that if someone involved in a multi-person conspiracy, which I understand Mr. Falenta is now suggesting, reveals information in court about other individuals and circumstances that are important to the case, they can count on an extraordinary mitigation of their sentence, or even its suspension. Had what Mr. Falenta is saying been true, had he revealed it, prison would never have threatened him. Therefore, this is the best proof that he is currently telling such stories out of desperation - he emphasized.

- It is no secret that I value Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz as a reasonable, wise politician and a very honest, principled man. Secondly, I have already conveyed a piece of advice via social media. It is that the Polish People's Party should not rule out the possibility of post-election cooperation with the United Right – said Jarosław Gowin in a conversation with Mariusz Bartkowicz on Radio Kraków.

- I hope for and will do everything to ensure a self-governing government, but if it turns out that a coalition partner is needed, I've been saying for a long time, for many years, that the Kukiz’15 movement is my natural coalition partner. However, I do not rule out the possibility of post-election cooperation with the PSL. I certainly cannot imagine joint lists with the PSL. I think the differences here are too great – said Jarosław Gowin in a conversation with Mariusz Bartkowicz on Radio Kraków.

“The Presidential Couple are heading to the USA tomorrow afternoon to commence a visit to the United States starting on Wednesday, which will have several components. We can divide it into three stages. First, on June 12th – a meeting in Washington, a visit to the White House, and political discussions. The second stage will be Texas, with talks concerning energy agreements. There, the host of the visit and partner will be the Secretary of Energy. A meeting will also take place there that opens us up to the next, third stage of economic discussions – regarding cooperation in cancer treatment, oncology, and modern oncological technologies. “The third stage is a purely business stage. In Nevada, the President will be opening a specially organized Polish Business and Innovation Week. The State of Nevada is cooperating very dynamically with Polish entrepreneurs and voivodeships. We want to deepen this cooperation”, he added. 

„Regarding [Falenta's] application – it is not the first application in this matter, and like all previous ones, it will be processed by the Chancellery according to the general principles that apply in these cases. We have an Executive Committee meeting this week. “The idea of establishing a property tax in Poland is returning again. It is true that this is an institution known in various countries and with its own history, but it is an institution which, under Polish conditions, if introduced seriously – and there's no point in introducing it not seriously – would simply lead to the expropriation of a huge portion of Poles from all kinds of real estate property. Simply put, very many Poles own apartments, which are the most common type of property, but they also own houses and plots of land, and to a large extent, these are people with small incomes, for example, pensioners. If this tax were introduced, a very simple mechanism would occur. A decrease in value, because people would start selling off their properties, and the acquisition of this property by a certain social group, and possibly also by external elements” - said party leader Jarosław Kaczyński.

“This is absolutely unacceptable. We want to assure you that we will not introduce such a tax under any circumstances and we believe that those who want to introduce it either have no idea what they want to do – which, in our opinion, is not impossible, considering their comprehension – or there is also another possibility, that they want to carry out such an operation. PiS guarantees that such a tax will not exist” - he added.

- This topic flickered past when those program materials were published, which, according to media reports, were supposed to form the basis of the program for either Civic Platform or the opposition. Now, apparently, no one is admitting to them. While it's true it wasn't as loud as the topic of partitioning Poland or federalizing Poland, which also flickered past, the topic of cadastral tax did emerge, which is why we considered it right and appropriate to address it. Because there's no point in such things lurking in the public sphere, left to speculation. Especially since there was an attempt by one of the parties to pin some of this topic onto PiS through some fake news online during the election campaign. Fortunately, that didn't work, and that party did not cross the [electoral] threshold, but we also want our position on this matter to be clearly heard. No to cadastral tax. PiS is a guarantor that such a tax will not exist in Poland, and we also hope that other players on the political scene will clearly state their views on this matter – stated Radosław Fogiel on Polskie Radio 24, when asked why Jarosław Kaczyński was talking about cadastral tax specifically today.

- A drowning man clutches at straws, and like a poet, a drowning man also clutches awkwardly. I think it's hard to say more than what Minister Ziobro said today, that this is a desperate attempt to defend oneself from spending those few years in prison, which were awarded by a legally binding verdict. I don't know the details, because I am neither the spokesperson for the prosecutor's office nor the spokesperson for the Presidential Palace, where this pardon request has landed. It's the third request; the first two were rejected negatively. So, if there was something to it, even assuming, I think this is the best proof that there isn't some kind of gentle approach to this matter. If anyone wanted to hide something or obfuscate, they wouldn't have deployed such significant forces, for instance, to find Marek Falenta when he fled the country. So I rather perceive this information as humbug. Of course, our competitors will certainly use it, just as they previously used the fact that Falenta managed to escape and tried to ignite some major discussions because of it. When it turned out quite quickly that the services acted as they should and he was brought back to Poland, now it will probably be another topic to exploit at press conferences - stated Radosław Fogiel on Polskie Radio 24.

When asked if he or his boss - Jarosław Kaczyński - had commissioned anything from Marek Falenta in 2013, Fogiel replied: - I know nothing about that. In 2013, I suspect I didn't even know who Marek Falenta was. Definitely [we promised nothing].

– Did Minister Ziobro initiate proceedings regarding blackmail against the head of state, threats against the prime minister? I asked a lawyer today, such matters are prosecuted ex officio. We know that various recordings have appeared from time to time in recent years. - She commented on this, but also immediately stipulated that it depends on surveys, on who the strongest candidate will be. She is an excellent local government official, she was the mayor of Warsaw for 12 years. I think she would have great chances for a Senate seat in Warsaw. We will see. - We talk with Igor Ostachowicz, we know each other very well. We worked in the same government, so he belongs to that circle of people with whom we meet and talk. To a large circle of people. - MP Pawłowicz has her own specific, very intense style of expression. It's always the case that the professor writes something sharp, and it needs to be commented on. I don't use such words. - No vote can be wasted. We have our 6%, which is a strong mandate, despite what some are saying. Who else on the left got more? Election results showed that SLD achieved a comparable result to Wiosna. The Left needs new energy, and this new energy comes from other groups that, running alone, wouldn't be able to cross the electoral threshold; Razem, Unia Pracy, the Feminist Initiative. - I have no evidence on this matter [that party leadership ordered the wiretaps] and in fact, I should remain silent on this issue. But I have the right to presume, and I consider it an absolutely possible presumption. I myself would like this matter to finally be resolved. Left, right. Did we have a coup d'état in Poland, because if we had a coup d'état and the people responsible for this coup d'état are currently in positions of responsibility, holding responsible state positions, it means that something is very wrong with us. This is not a matter of some individual crime. - I would like to join forces with all progressive forces. The entire opposition will benefit from this. And that is the responsibility of parties on the left. Schetyna is not the leader of a progressive force. Nowoczesna is a centrist-liberal party. We invite all progressive, left-wing individuals. If we want to remove PiS from power, every vote counts - said Robert Biedroń on Kropka nad I. - And I thought you wanted to prevent Civic Platform from gaining power. That was my impression, that Civic Platform was a bigger enemy than PiS - replied Monika Olejnik. - Everyone knows that PiS is our biggest enemy, just look at how Wiosna was treated on TVP, we had 1% of airtime while PO had 20% - Biedroń replied.

- Don't joke, you can say you've changed your mind. Everyone changes their minds, they feed us lies, but you should behave differently - said Monika Olejnik.

- I must ensure that our three-person delegation in the EP receives the appropriate committees and can implement our program and our values. It would be completely unreasonable for me to resign from this mandate. Why do it? In whose interest is it? My competition's. Maybe I shouldn't have said it, it's a lesson for me, but I had a plan, I wanted to be honest. The polls were different, the situation was different. I am a responsible leader, I cannot leave Wiosna in such a situation. We have created a force that gave 824,000 people hope that politics can be different - said Robert Biedroń.

- We cannot run away and say: well, we lost a little. This was not a minor loss. PiS achieved 45%. The highest electoral result in Polish history. Not in absolute numbers, but in percentage. And this 7% difference [between PiS and KE] is a real defeat. We cannot try to frame it as: well, it wasn't a complete defeat. It was a crushing defeat for the opposition, and to some extent, for a certain coalition idea. To win now, the way of operating needs to change. Perhaps the coalition needs to be arranged differently, find a different format for it – stated Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz in an interview with Justyna Pochanke on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach".

- The opposition must stop talking about how bad PiS is. Regardless of what one thinks about PiS. Instead, we need to start telling Poles what a beautiful Poland will look like after taking power, what new, beautiful things can be done for Poland, something that will inspire us all – he added.

- These masses have been held for many, many years and have never caused controversy. I regret that the Polish Episcopal Conference reacted so quickly in this matter, and so late or not at all in other matters: pedophilia in the Church, hatred towards LGBT individuals, violence against women. In these matters, the Church remains silent, yet it is overly sensitive about religious feelings and the monopoly on holding masses. After all, this gentleman who led the mass is a representative of one of many Christian churches, why shouldn't he lead a mass? Christ also didn't have a registered church at the beginning - said Robert Biedroń in Kropka nad I.

- It's not my sensibility, but the over-sensitivity from the pro-democratic side is also strange. I would like to see a similar appeal directed towards those who spread hatred towards LGBT individuals during that march, or who uttered fascist, homophobic, and racist slogans. The letter from the President of Gdańsk contained not a single word on this matter, and I would like her to stand on the side of those who were insulted during that march. I supported her then and I continue to support her - said Robert Biedroń in 'Kropka nad I'.

"It was a bold move by Trzaskowski; I support PO for introducing the LGBT Plus card in their program across Poland," said Robert Biedroń on Kropka.
