Müller:

PMM to Hold Individual Meetings with Ministers Next Week Regarding Work Schedule Until End of Term
- Next week, I can announce today, Prime Minister Morawiecki will begin individual meetings with all ministers to establish a work schedule until the end of the current term. These five or six months that lie ahead of us are a period we must absolutely utilize to consistently implement all our announcements and to consider if there are any further legislative matters we can introduce during this term – stated Piotr Müller in an interview with Joanna Komółka on Radio Zet.

08:29

Müller:

PiS Program Convention Most Likely in July
At the beginning of July, such a program convention will most likely take place. Incidentally, yesterday, the day before yesterday, the Poland Great Project congress was ongoing. This is also a place for our political side, where certain ideas regarding state governance are being hatched, but in July, it has already been announced, around July a program congress will be held, but a congress that will also involve various opinions in different areas, so it won't yet be a congress that will directly point out all programmatic issues, but it will also be a place for discussion, sometimes even critical of how the coming years should look if we were to win the elections – stated Piotr Müller in an interview with Joanna Komółka on Radio Zet.

Müller on Tax Reduction Bills: I'm Convinced We'll Manage Before the Holidays, or Early September If Not

- This is the final stage. I think that in June the project will be presented to the extent that it can be implemented this year, within this term. It is very important that we want to adopt it within this term. I think that regarding issues related to PIT reduction, that will be next year, whereas regarding issues related to PIT for the young, it will be this year, although discussions are still ongoing here, because we would like to introduce it as soon as possible. It would be best if these two bills were introduced this year - stated Piotr Müller in an interview with Joanna Komolka on Radio Zet, when asked when the projects regarding tax reductions from the so-called Kaczyński's 'Five' would be created.

- There are not many Sejm sessions, but in July, we still have sessions in June. I am convinced that we will manage to do it before the holidays, and if not, then at the beginning of September - emphasized the new government spokesperson.

Długi from Kukiz'15: PSL is going through some sort of purgatory and has turned in the right direction. The prodigal son is more warmly welcomed, so we welcome the PSL into the fold of normalcy.
- We have such great polarization and such heightened emotions that it's harder for smaller groups because we are simply crushed by these emotions. Many voters, witnessing an ideological war, think it's not worth caring about the roses when the forests are burning, and instead cast their votes for one of the large blocs. PSL is going through some sort of purgatory and has turned in the right direction. The prodigal son is more warmly welcomed, so we welcome the PSL into the fold of normalcy - said Grzegorz Długi from Kukiz'15.

Waszczykowski:

I don't even know if the former president was sober when he shouted those slogans in Gdańsk
- The opposition has the right to compete on programs, but here we are dealing with a certain stunt. I don't even know if the former president was sober when he shouted those slogans in Gdańsk. We expect a formal program, not street politics, plaques, and foreign affairs. Now we are faced with a proposal for 'landization', dividing Poland into districts, creating some enclaves where the opposition could tear parts of the country away from the central government - said Witold Waszczykowski on TVP Info. Waszczykowski's words were met with protest from Jerzy Wenderlich.

10:42

Szefernaker:

Article 3: The Republic is a unitary state. Poland is not a federation. That might be in Germany, but we are in Poland.
- The transformation of the Senate into a local government chamber is unconstitutional, as is the liquidation of the office of voivode. Article 3 of the Constitution: The Republic is a unitary state. Poland is not a federation. That might be in Germany, but we are in Poland. These are proposals that destabilize security in the state; we do not agree to them - said Paweł Szefernaker on TVP Info.

Stachowiak-Różecka:

We're now witnessing not consumption, but cleaning up the plates after Schetyna's consumption

- Today, we are truly witnessing not consumption, but the cleaning up of plates after Grzegorz Schetyna's consumption - stated Mirosława Stachowiak-Różecka on Dariusz Ociepa's program "Śniadanie w Polsat News" (Breakfast on Polsat News), referring to the initiative to merge the PO and Nowoczesna parliamentary clubs.

Czarzasty:

Biedroń Proposed a Grand Coalition Yesterday, and the First Entity He Reached Out To Was SLD - I Am Pleased

- Mr. Biedroń proposed a grand coalition yesterday, and the first entity he reached out to was the Democratic Left Alliance - I am pleased - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty on Dariusz Ociepa's program "Breakfast at Polsat News".

10:46

Masłowski on PSL: All These Talks with Kukiz'15, with PiS, I Think Serve as a Bargaining Chip for Talks with PO

- All these talks with Kukiz'15, these talks with PiS, I think they serve as a bargaining chip for talks with Civic Platform, because everyone who is aware of the political situation knows that the Polish People's Party (PSL), if we talk about so-called gains in the political market, will gain the most for itself, individually, by going with Civic Platform - stated Maciej Masłowski during Dariusz Ociepa's program "Breakfast at Polsat News".

10:48

Czarzasty to Sawicki: If you're leaning right, I know you'll be kissing the Church's hands now

If you're leaning right, I know you'll be kissing the Church's hands now, that's your choice, not mine – stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty on Dariusz Ociepa's program "Breakfast on Polsat News," addressing Marek Sawicki.

Kukiz:

We Won't Have Full Democracy Until Every Citizen Has the Right to Stand for Election
- If this were the end of communism, on June 4th, then today we wouldn't have Mr. Cimoszewicz and Mr. Miller in the European Parliament - stated Paweł Kukiz on TVN24's "Kawa na ławę" (Coffee on the Bench). - We will not have full democracy and a fully free state until every citizen of the Republic of Poland has the passive right to vote. They won't be able to run for the Sejm without any party lists. Today, someone who wants to run for the Sejm, wants to become a Member of Parliament, must run on a party list, and therefore, from the outset, submits to the will of the party oligarchy and the leader - he continued. As he emphasized, we are still on the road to a free state.

11:44

Lubnauer:

We Had to Take a Step That Would Give Poles Hope That a Broad Coalition Will Emerge Again and Win This Autumn

- Of course not [it's not the end of the Nowoczesna project]. You saw the joint National Councils yesterday - Katarzyna Lubnauer stated on TVN24's "Kawa na ławę" (Coffee on the Bench). - I am convinced that what we have done is a joining of forces in parliament - she continued.

- We had to take a step that would show, give Poles hope that a broad coalition will emerge again and win this autumn - the leader of Nowoczesna emphasized.

The Prosecutor General has directed that upon the apprehension of the perpetrator, consideration be given to charging him with offenses including rape with particular cruelty and unlawful detention with particular torment. Furthermore, if evidentiary findings permit, the charge of attempted murder with potential intent should also be considered.

Zgorzelski:

I Don't Hide That We Spoke, Even Recently. I Presented Kukiz With Several of Our Programmatic Projects
I don't hide that we spoke, even recently. I presented Paweł [Kukiz] with several of our programmatic projects, such as Tax-Free Pension, or the RES program, and perhaps also 0% VAT on healthy food - stated Piotr Zgorzelski on TVN24's "Kawa na ławę". The Polish Coalition's project is a project for that 1/3 of Polish society that does not want to vote for two opposing and mutually combative blocs, and our program is based on Christian democratic values - added the PSL politician.

12:00

Kukiz:

I recently spoke with the Chairman. He said: joint lists, absolutely. It wasn't my proposal, but the Chairman's.
- I spoke with the Chairman recently, about three days ago, and he wasn't particularly interested. Of course, he said: joint lists, absolutely. It wasn't my proposal, but the Chairman's, but there was no interest when it comes to passive electoral rights for every Pole, the introduction of referendums - stated Paweł Kukiz on TVN24's "Kawa na ławę". When asked if the PiS Chairman had proposed joint electoral lists to Kukiz'15, Kukiz replied: - From the beginning. Earlier, there were conversations, during my first talks, he proposed entering into a coalition with PiS. You know what that entails. Offices, money. I refused. Kukiz also said that the democratization of the state is his priority. - If such a declaration is signed, it could be leverage or God knows what, but if you sign such a declaration, I will go with you. Just sign it on camera. The Chairman signs it on camera, please, the way is open - he emphasized.

Political Week Ahead: Sejm After Elections, PAD in the USA, Investigative Committees at Work, PiS Club Retreat, PMM-Dulkiewicz Meeting

The upcoming week in politics is primarily marked by the Sejm's first session after the European Parliament elections – the swearing-in of new MPs, the election of a Deputy Speaker, and likely work on amendments to the electricity bill and the Teachers' Charter.

President Duda will visit the USA, and a Warsaw court will announce its verdict in the trial of former Head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery, Tomasz Arabski, and four other officials regarding the organization of the flight to Smolensk on April 10, 2010.

The coming week also includes the work of the VAT and Amber Gold investigative committees, a retreat for the PiS parliamentary club, and a meeting between Prime Minister Morawiecki and Aleksandra Dulkiewicz. Politicians from Civic Platform are also set to tour Poland, as announced by Grzegorz Schetyna during a meeting of the National Council.

*****

Morawiecki-Dulkiewicz Meeting. - "I have accepted Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki's invitation. We are meeting on Tuesday. I thank him and look forward to our conversation, as we have important matters for Gdańsk and Poland," wrote Gdańsk Mayor Aleksandra Dulkiewicz on Twitter. The meeting, initiated by the head of government, will take place at 1:30 PM – this information was conveyed to 300POLITYCE by government spokesperson Piotr Müller.

Sejm After Elections. A three-day Sejm session will begin on Wednesday (though the main part of the proceedings will likely be shortened to Thursday) – the first after the European Parliament elections. According to the preliminary schedule seen by 300POLITYKA, at the beginning of the session, on Wednesday at 10:00 AM, new MPs who have replaced parliamentarians who secured mandates in the European Parliament elections will be sworn in.

Sejm on Electricity Bill Amendment. On Friday, PiS submitted a draft amendment to the so-called electricity bill to the Sejm. It is almost certain that the Sejm will have to vote on the bill in the coming week, at an express pace. According to the justification, the amendment should enter into force before July 1st, and the upcoming Sejm session is the only one this month. It can also be assumed that the Sejm will address changes to the Teachers' Charter, also submitted by PiS a few days ago.

Election of Sejm Deputy Speaker. During the aforementioned session, the Sejm is to elect a new Deputy Speaker, replacing Beata Mazurek. The candidate for this position – as informed by Ryszard Terlecki – is Małgorzata Gosiewska. According to the head of the PiS club, the nomination will be presented at the upcoming Sejm session.

Committee on Anders' Nomination. On Tuesday at 5:00 PM, the Sejm Foreign Affairs Committee will give its opinion on the nomination of Anna Maria Anders for the position of Polish Ambassador to Italy.

PAD in the USA. On Monday at 12:00 PM, a press briefing by Krzysztof Szczerski, Head of the Presidential Office, will take place at the Presidential Palace. On Wednesday, President Andrzej Duda and his wife will pay an official visit to Washington. Subsequently, between Thursday and Monday, the Presidential Couple will visit Houston, Reno, Carson City, and San Francisco. The main topic of the visit will be economic issues. The exact schedule is not yet known.

PMM's Meetings with Ministers. - "Next week, Prime Minister Morawiecki will begin individual meetings with all ministers to establish a work schedule until the end of the term. These five or six months ahead of us are a period that we must unequivocally use to consistently implement all our announcements and consider whether there are any further legislative topics we can implement during this term," stated government spokesperson Piotr Müller on Radio Zet.

Verdict in Arabski Case. The Warsaw Regional Court has set Thursday at 12:30 PM for the announcement of the verdict in the trial of former Head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery Tomasz Arabski and four other officials concerning the organization of the flight to Smolensk on April 10, 2010.

Amber Gold Investigative Committee's Position. On Thursday at 12:00 PM, a closed-door meeting of the Amber Gold investigative committee will take place. Half an hour later, the committee – in an open session – will consider amendments to the draft position of the committee and then adopt them.

VAT Committee. In the coming week, the VAT investigative committee will continue its hearings, which will take place on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The plan includes questioning, among others, Maciej Berek, former President of the Government Legislation Centre and Secretary of the Council of Ministers, and Paweł Oracz, former Director of the IT Department of the Ministry of Finance.

PiS Club Retreat. A retreat for the PiS parliamentary club will take place on Friday – this information was reported by PAP and confirmed by 300POLITYKA sources. The meeting is to be held in a Warsaw hotel and will focus on plans for the coming months.

Civic Platform Politicians' Meetings. - "Next week, we will start talking to people in hundreds of cities, towns, and villages," announced Grzegorz Schetyna at a meeting of the National Council of Civic Platform and Modern Poland. - "In August, we will present a plan to repair the country. We will conduct a winning campaign and build a great movement for a better Poland. In October, we will win," said the leader of Civic Platform.

Czarzasty:

SLD Referendum on June 29th Regarding Formula for Parliamentary Election Participation

- We are satisfied with this [European Parliament] election campaign. We believe that responsibility for everything good and bad falls equally on all stakeholders of this coalition, meaning the five parties. The direction of the National Council's discussion is that we believe we should continue this coalition and this undertaking, as creating a single democratic bloc is, in our opinion, reasonable - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty after the SLD National Council meeting.

- We have also decided to call a referendum on how we will ultimately proceed in the elections to the Polish parliament. [The referendum] will take place on June 29th - emphasized the SLD leader. As he noted, there are two options - running in agreement with other pro-democratic parties or running independently.

Czarzasty:

We are talking to everyone on the democratic side, so we will also talk to Biedroń

- We are generally reluctant to participate in any formula that is built under someone's wing. We are a subject party. We are a party with its own identity. We can co-create a coalition, just as we co-created and believe we still are co-creating, because there hasn't been a meeting of all leaders of the European Coalition yet. Robert Biedroń made us an offer. I will remind you that we made an offer of cooperation and joint lists in the local government elections to Biedroń and the entire left in Poland – that offer was rejected. In the EP elections, this offer was also rejected. I understand that we've taken stock and have now concluded that 6% is not 16%. But we are an open party. We will talk, because we have a lot of empathy. We are talking to everyone on the democratic side, so we will also talk to Biedroń. In fact, I am scheduled to discuss this with him tomorrow, and I am also scheduled to meet with our brothers and sisters from the Green Party, because I cannot imagine us making different decisions separately, as we cooperate very closely. We are one family. We have a very good and warm relationship with the Together party, with Marcelina Zawisza and Adrian Zandberg. The situation is such that it is evident, and I say this without arrogance, that wisdom is needed. If wisdom is needed and someone knocks on the SLD's door, that door is open – stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty after the meeting of the SLD National Council.

As we hear, with the start of the new week, the successor to Beata Mazurek as PiS spokesperson, as well as a deputy spokesperson, is to be announced. As 'Polityka' wrote, Anita Czerwińska will take on the role of spokesperson, and Radosław Fogiel will be the deputy spokesperson – according to our sources, this variant will ultimately be announced.
