“These are just speculations. I firmly deny. I will not run for the office of President of the Republic of Poland next year. I will support his campaign, I will strongly engage in President Andrzej Duda's campaign” – said Deputy Prime Minister Beata Szydło in an interview with Piotr Gociek on “Sygnały dnia” (Signals of the Day) on Polish Radio Channel One.

“Next week, more likely early in the week, this reconstruction will take place,” stated Deputy Prime Minister Beata Szydło in an interview with Piotr Gociek on the program “Sygnały dnia” on Polskie Radio Jedynka.

“Certainly, there will be new people heading ministries and not only that, also deputy ministers who will replace those leaving for the European Parliament, and perhaps there will be some other changes, but it won't be a significant number of people. There will be women, ladies. A few ladies will be leaving the government now. New ladies will be appointed to the government. This is a change where prepared, professional, and experienced individuals will come,” she added. 

"The 'Kaczyński's Five' project will be fully implemented. Most of its elements have already been presented, but we still have projects like tax-related ones, which we will present after the holidays. Starting July 1st, the 500 zloty program for every child will come into effect. By the end of the year, we will implement the entire package as outlined. New social programs that might emerge in the next term will be presented during the election campaign, while this year's budget was planned for the implementation of programs [from 'Kaczyński's Five']" – stated Deputy Prime Minister Beata Szydło in an interview with Piotr Gociek on "Sygnały dnia" on Radio Jedynka.

“There are various comments. Some people who were hoping that it would be this Sunday, May 26th, that we would defeat PiS, are today with great commitment trying to attack the Civic Platform. If [the campaign] had been successful, we would have won the elections. To make a decision about the future campaign, which starts today, we need to draw conclusions coolly and after good analysis, not after reading a few articles” – said the head of the Civic Platform-KO parliamentary club, Sławomir Neumann, in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet. 

- In this campaign, and again in the next one, we cannot afford to forget about new, young people entering adulthood and also voting. We also took a principled stance on ACTA2 in this campaign. We were against it in the European Parliament, and it's an important topic for young people. That was clearly seen, we observed it in various places and studied it in great detail, and indeed, the ambiguous voting of Civic Platform in the EP, sometimes for, sometimes against, was certainly not beneficial from the perspective of the European Coalition. However, we said from the beginning: these regulations adopted in the EP are simply harmful and significantly limit freedom on the internet - stated Tomasz Poręba in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

- This is a message that we strongly highlighted in March or April, and it has also had an impact and I think it has been registered in the minds of young people who will vote in the future or have already voted in these elections - added the head of the PiS campaign team for the EP elections.

“I appreciate everyone who already on Monday knows why we lost the election or why someone managed to win the election. I admire people who, without data, can today decide what influenced the election outcome. I know one thing. The coalition proved its worth as a form. We stood up to PiS. This is not Hungary, where the largest opposition party has 16% and Fidesz has 52%” - said the head of the PO-KO parliamentary club, Sławomir Neumann, in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet. 

"We weren't in small towns, and we weren't enough in mid-sized cities. This is the effect of this campaign. Our candidates were too inactive in these places. That's what we're discussing. Some fought hard, some didn't" – said Sławomir Neumann, head of the Civic Platform-Koalicja Obywatelska (PO-KO) parliamentary club, in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet. 

- I think the coming months require great humility from us. We cannot fall into any grand hurray-optimism. We must continue to work very hard, travel around Poland, meet with people, humbly solicit every vote, and consistently fulfill our election promises - stated Tomasz Poręba in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

- We'll see. For now, we are in the process of forming our delegation in the EP, and I'm also involved in certain discussions regarding the future of the ECR group in the EP. Decisions of this type, who will be chief of staff, which individuals will lead the next campaign – these are already decisions for the party leadership. - I am not the one making the decisions. It is very hard work, but also very satisfying. However, I will say this: I still have many things to do in Brussels, especially at the beginning of the process when a group is being formed and various kinds of meetings are needed – he added.

„I congratulate Ms. Ela Łukacijewska on her result in Cisna, but if she is so great in Cisna, why didn't she win in the neighboring municipality? It means, you know, if we are going to analyze the result through one municipality in Podkarpacie. In Podkarpacie, we were disgracefully defeated by PiS. And if we are going to draw conclusions from the fact that we won precisely in the municipality of Cisna because Ela Łukacijewska, with all due sympathy to her, lives in this municipality” - said the head of the Civic Platform-KO club, Sławomir Neumann, in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

- Just like with the Civic Coalition, which we built for the local government elections, this one [European Coalition] was built, dedicated to the European Parliament elections. That is clear. However, the very essence of a coalition, the cooperation of opposition parties, political environments that are in opposition, makes sense, and I am convinced we will continue it, because there is no alternative to a united opposition. In a formula that must lead to the building of a common electoral committee in the October elections. Absolutely yes. There is no alternative to an opposition that cooperates, builds a common program, and conducts a joint campaign - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on "Salon polityczny Trójki".

38.5% is a good result. I am not satisfied. I just want to say that if someone had told us, told me the day before the election, that the coalition we managed to build would achieve 38.5%, I would have taken it without hesitation, considering it a decisive result for victory. The mobilization of the electorate, mainly in the countryside, in small towns, gave PiS a 45% result. It's a surprising result and conclusions simply must be drawn from it - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on "Trójka's Political Salon".

- Today we are analyzing this data and drawing conclusions from it. We fought as best we could. Of course, we will present these conclusions next week. We are analyzing this data, the numbers, and talking with sociologists. We had a meeting with the regional leaders. We are analyzing this situation to make a good diagnosis, because only by making a good diagnosis do we have a chance to prepare a good campaign, a good political idea for October - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on "Trójka's Political Salon".

I think that's not enough. A simple sum of all those we were with in these elections, in this campaign, is not enough. The coalition needs to be integrated even more strongly and expanded even further - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on "Trójka's Political Salon".

"We can say at best that departing ministers, on this occasion as with others, can at best receive compensation for unused leave, but that is usually a few, a dozen or so days. This is stipulated in the Labor Code" - said Minister Łukasz Schreiber in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus's "Sedno Sprawy" (The Core of the Matter).

- Where mandates were fought for from the first or second positions, certainly yes [the Polish People's Party gave their all]. However, this applies to all candidates and all parties. There wasn't that feeling that these were elections for everything, and that a mandate wasn't important, or rather, the mandate wasn't the most important thing, but the most important thing was the result for the European Coalition. And those from lower positions, not believing in securing a mandate for themselves, didn't always give their all. This must change. - We are discussing within Civic Platform. If anyone were to say that organizational changes are needed - 100% agreement. – I will not [ask for a vote of confidence], because introducing an electoral process within Civic Platform now would result in a constitutional majority for PiS in the parliamentary elections. I am in favor of the belief that only a more integrated and expanded opposition will win the October elections. Because 38.5% is not enough. This is a matter of parties, communities. The leader of Wiosna said no, but it seems to me that the voters of Wiosna do not wish for this political entity to end, and it seems to me that they will look for a structure... But we are looking at it realistically and wondering if perhaps we need to lift it and go fight on that front as well. We are talking about it. There is no decision today. A meeting of the newly elected Members of the European Parliament with SLD leadership has just concluded at the SLD headquarters in Warsaw. As we hear, Professor Bogusław Liberadzki has been re-elected as the head of the delegation, and Marek Balt as treasurer. The 5-member delegation will, as before, remain in the S&D faction.

As our interlocutors emphasize, the SLD delegation will be led by Bogusław Liberadzki, undisputed until now as the former leader and Vice-President of the European Parliament, and by fresh blood, the youngest in the delegation, Marek Balt, known for his uncompromising stance.

After 12:00 PM, the ceremony for the presentation of certificates of election to Members of the European Parliament by the National Electoral Commission began in the Column Hall of the Sejm.

"Rudeness is a characteristic trait of this political group. They could have not come; certificates can be collected by mail. However, since they came to collect them in person, they should have behaved according to protocol and the rules of good manners. As it turns out, they are not well-mannered. I had no illusions about that anyway," stated Ryszard Legutko in an interview with wPolityce.pl, when asked how he assessed the behavior of Bartosz Arłukowicz and Róża Thun, who, after receiving their certificates, decided not to shake hands with, among others, Prime Minister Morawiecki. "I think that [the MEPs came to the ceremony specifically to demonstratively show their contempt for the current authorities]. Maybe they didn't approach out of absentmindedness, but I don't really think so. It was visible that they were making some kind of gesture towards Prime Minister Morawiecki - neither a bow nor a bend of the body. - That's a very difficult question. Because, of course, the heart always suggests running under our own banner, the PSL. However, we must take into account the political conditions on the political scene here in our country. We need to discuss this matter within the PSL.
