Schetyna: Before elections, we will create a grand coalition with all pro-local government parties and organizations - We stand for the maximum strengthening of local governments - said Grzegorz Schetyna during the national convention of Civic Platform (PO) in Łódź, presenting the program for local government elections. The most important points are:

We will abolish voivodeship offices
We will leave every zloty from PIT and CIT taxes where citizens live
Local government will be able to return part of the tax to residents by increasing the PIT allowance
Local governments will have influence not on the PIT rate, but on the tax-exempt amount
We will introduce the obligatory application of the citizen's budget in cities
We will equip osiedle councils with separate budgets
We will popularize and strengthen rural commune funds
We will restore the freedom of land transactions
We will give schools back to local governments and parents
Increasing the autonomy of school principals and teachers
