- The President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, signed 7 acts today - informed Rafał Leśkiewicz.
As he informed, in the case of the amendment to the State Labour Inspectorate Act, as well as the amendment to the Public Collective Transport Act, the President decided to refer the motions to the Constitutional Tribunal, under ex-post review.
- I continue to have serious doubts about some of the provisions - especially those that grant very broad powers to the State Labour Inspectorate concerning entrepreneurs. The state must be strong - but it cannot be excessively intrusive - the President stated in a recording published on social media.
He admitted that the State Labour Inspectorate Act touches upon the very foundation of the relationship between the state, the employee, and the employer.
- However, I had serious doubts from the very beginning of this law's proceedings. They primarily concerned the lack of proper social dialogue at the governmental work stage. The state cannot disregard social partners - this is the foundation of a healthy democracy - he emphasized.
Andrzej Duda stressed that the act enables the release of funds from the National Recovery Plan, combats labour market pathologies, and practices that we are all familiar with: forced sham contracts, fictitious self-employment, lack of stability, towards which the state cannot be indifferent. - Work is not just money; it is also dignity. It is stability. It is the foundation for the decision to start a family - he continued.
