Żurek:
Ziobro is in the USA - we have no doubts about it
- We know that [Zbigniew Ziobro] is in the United States - we have no doubts about that - said Waldemar Żurek in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News' 'Graffiti'.
08:00
Żurek:
Americans Have Spread Some Protective Umbrella Over Ziobro
- There are various pieces of information regarding where [Zbigniew Ziobro] resides, at what address, but I do not wish to disclose such facts as they are not confirmed. I would like to learn this primarily from the Americans, who have spread some kind of protective umbrella over Zbigniew Ziobro. And I would like him to stand before a Polish court - said Waldemar Żurek on Polsat News's 'Graffiti'.
08:08
Żurek:
Ziobro knows how to sabotage extraditions and will do just that
- Zbigniew Ziobro knows how to try to achieve an extradition, as he did with Mr. [Edward] Mazur when he was Minister of Justice, and those years-long attempts ended in nothing; the extradition was unsuccessful. So, sarcastically speaking, perhaps Zbigniew Ziobro knows how to make sure an extradition fails and will do everything to ensure that happens - said Waldemar Żurek in the "Graffiti" program on Polsat News.
08:11
Żurek on Ziobro:
We have a prepared extradition request, but we are also aware of how US federal courts operate.
"We have a prepared extradition request, but we are also aware of how federal courts in the United States operate. Experience tells us that even though the extradition agreement does not require a legally binding decision on the application of pre-trial detention, American courts often say: 'Show us that this detention is legally binding'" - said Waldemar Żurek in "Graffiti" on Polsat News.
"We are waiting. Maybe it will be faster [than in September], I don't know. We are taking all legal steps to somehow expedite the consideration of the case [regarding pre-trial detention]" - he added.
08:19
Żurek:
Warsaw Courts in a Dire Situation. Ziobro Caused Systemic Failure and Now Benefits From It
- I wrote a letter to the president of the court under administrative supervision [regarding the appeal by the defense attorneys against the court's decision to impose pre-trial detention on Zbigniew Ziobro], I have the right to do so. But I am also aware of how much the courts have been destroyed - said Waldemar Żurek in "Graffiti" Polsat News.
- Warsaw courts are in a very difficult situation, the most difficult in the country, and this is the result of eight years of Minister Ziobro's actions. He brought the system to a state of inefficiency, so paradoxically, he is now benefiting from this inefficiency - he stated.
- However, in this letter, I asked the court to do everything procedurally possible... But please also remember that we cannot use any extraordinary measures, any conversations or games. This is exactly what Ziobro's representatives are waiting for, for us to make a mistake, to cut corners somewhere, they will then make him a martyr - he indicated.
08:24
Żurek Doesn't Rule Out a Trip to the USA:
We Must Familiarize the American Public with the Ziobro Case.
- Of course, I don't rule out such a situation [a trip to the USA]. I work very hard in the prosecutor's office and the ministry, so I avoid trips that would be unnecessary excursions for anyone. However, we certainly must familiarize the American public with how the Ziobro case looks, that Ziobro is not a martyr, and that there are serious embezzlements there - said Waldemar Żurek in "Graffiti" on Polsat News.
08:26
Zgorzelski on the Solidarity Demonstration:
I Would Direct This Protest to Nowogrodzka Street.
"Today's Solidarity protest [...] is proof that we live in a democratic state where everyone can protest and express their views," said Piotr Zgorzelski in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Gość Radia ZET."
"Here, if I remember correctly, one of the points is the Green Deal. I would direct this protest to Nowogrodzka Street because that's where this project originated. Incidentally, the EU Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr. Wojciechowski, mentioned it, promoting it as a plan and program of Law and Justice," he continued.
"The Green Deal is a creation of PiS, so dear members of Solidarity, we invite you to Nowogrodzka Street," he added.
08:29
Żurek on the Ziobro case:
We should give appropriate interviews and information to important American media.
- We definitely need to inform the American public opinion about the Ziobro case, that Ziobro is not a martyr, that there are serious embezzlements there – Waldemar Żurek said in “Graffiti” on Polsat News.
When asked if this referred to an information campaign using billboards or the press, he replied: - No, we will definitely not spend public money, because Ziobro is the same citizen as Kowalski, whom we are charging. And believe me, it would again be, in my opinion, our tactical mistake if we were to unleash some kind of information campaign concerning Ziobro, because it would be used against us.
- There are American media, so I think that in those important media we should give appropriate interviews, information that would talk about the facts. The American public opinion is sensitive to several topics: to surveillance, and here there is the Pegasus issue [...], to the embezzlement of public money. There, a politician suspected of this essentially ends their political career – he continued.
08:31
Zgorzelski:
No Reduction of American Troops in Poland
- Today's Pentagon statement largely dispels the doubts that are justified among our countrymen, as it speaks of delaying the deployment of troops to Poland, which refutes the theory of withdrawal - said Piotr Zgorzelski on Radio ZET.
- It speaks of preparing a new plan for the basing of US troops in Europe, and now pay attention, which is already to be consulted with Poland, claims one of the closest associates of the Secretary of War. And this is the result of the conversation Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz had with Pete Hegseth yesterday afternoon - he continued.
- Fortunately, there will be no reduction of American troops in Poland. In my opinion, everything will end up, you know how? With more than before - he continued.
08:38
- Of course, I do not rule out any solution. However, we must remember that I am the Prosecutor General, and these procedural decisions are made by the investigation team - said Waldemar Żurek in "Graffiti" Polsat News, when asked if he would propose an iron-clad letter to Zbigniew Ziobro.
- I want prosecutors in Poland to be independent and for there to even be a dispute sometimes between the Prosecutor General and the prosecutors conducting the investigation. However, I will certainly not exert any pressure on them - he continued.
- It may certainly happen that Ziobro gets this iron-clad letter, comes, makes a big show, and then disappears on us again and we won't be able to prosecute him - he pointed out.
08:40
Zgorzelski on a PSL Councillor's Attempt to Secure a Job for Her Husband:
Such a Method is Unacceptable.
"This is not how matters are handled, firstly, and secondly, from what I know, the councillor, I might be mistaken, but she probably claims that this message has been somehow manipulated, hacked" - said Piotr Zgorzelski on Radio ZET, when asked about the accidental publication by Agnieszka Stolarczyk, a PSL councillor, of a private message to Marshal Adam Strózik requesting a job for her husband.
"Of course, such a method is unacceptable, but it's not how we do things, and probably in no other party should matters be handled in this way either" - he continued.
08:46
Zgorzelski on Poland 2050 and Attempts to Raise the Second Tax Threshold:
If They Want to Do Such Things, They Must Have an Ally in the Finance Minister.
- Today, first and foremost, if they want to do such things, they must have an ally in the person of the finance minister - said Piotr Zgorzelski on Radio ZET, when asked if Szymon Hołownia and Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz "have an ally" in the Polish People's Party (PSL) regarding raising the second tax threshold.
- If a party that forms the government does not have an ally in the Ministry of Finance for such a project, it means that this project must wait for better times in terms of the budget's financial condition - he continued.
08:59
- And when you said yesterday on Polish Television that Ziobro is in Washington State, is that true? - asked Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News' "Graffiti".
- We had such initial information that he is in Washington State - replied Waldemar Żurek.
- But in Washington State or in Washington D.C.? Because those are two different places on the map - the host pressed.
- I had information that it was the state. We are verifying this information - the minister responded.
- Okay, because these are places separated by several thousand kilometers. Besides, there are probably over 80 of these Washingtons in the United States, so these leads... - the journalist continued.
- We are talking about the one that is most famous.
- The most famous one is the city, the capital.
- I don't want to reveal. Yesterday we had a meeting with Minister Siemoniak and Minister Kierwiński, so we are investigating this.
09:07
- We are discussing this within the coalition, and indeed, there must be consensus on what legal instruments the state can use to exert legal pressure on Mr. Święczkowski, to show him that this is not his private fiefdom - said Waldemar Żurek in "Graffiti" on Polsat News.
- We have an ongoing criminal investigation, and for now, this criminal investigation is ongoing generally, but I know that employees of the Tribunal are also being questioned. Mr. Święczkowski must be aware that while he may break the law at his own discretion, those he orders to break the law, who do not have immunity, must be aware that it may eventually lead to charges being filed - he pointed out.
Asked whether the scenario of police presence in the Constitutional Tribunal is ruled out, he replied: - No scenario is ruled out. I am primarily glad that these judges, this entire group of six, are united in what they are doing. We notice this, and I am convinced that we will manage to rebuild this Tribunal, but unfortunately, this requires time.
09:09
Żurek:
Plan B for the National Council of the Judiciary is beginning to work
- This is something that is succeeding, and this Plan B [regarding the National Council of the Judiciary] is beginning to work. So I am truly in a joyful mood today, because I see that after many years we will have an independent body, as stipulated by our constitution - said Waldemar Żurek in "Graffiti" Polsat News.
09:17
Czarnek:
Individuals Illegally Occupying Prosecutor's Office Are Committing Criminal Offenses
- Regarding the interrogators, we are dealing with [...] Mr. Woźniak, his colleague Ślepokura, who have been committing criminal offenses for two years and will be held responsible for it - said Przemysław Czarnek during a demonstration of support for Tomasz Sakiewicz.
- Here, from the prosecutor's office at Postępu Street, we can directly state: these individuals who are illegally occupying this building today have been committing criminal offenses of the highest caliber for two years, and today is a continuation of these offenses. They are already aware of this, because they are lawyers - he continued.
- Whatever they are, they are lawyers. They are fully aware that today they are people committing criminal offenses, and this is also their status today during this interrogation, which President Tomasz Sakiewicz will be undergoing shortly - he further stated.
09:19
Żurek:
If the Prime Minister Decides My Mission is Over, I Won't Beg, I'll Just Thank Him for the Opportunity to Cooperate
- The Prime Minister is the type of person who has specific expectations and expects results. And I absolutely understand his role. But please also remember that I took on this position with full awareness of how difficult this job is and that I might be a buffer - said Waldemar Żurek in "Graffiti" on Polsat News.
- If the Prime Minister decides that my mission is over, I will not beg him, I will just thank him for the opportunity to cooperate with him. However, I am doing everything that is required of me and I have plans that keep me busy for the coming months and years - he continued.

States Kosiniak-Kamysz After Meeting with Gen. Mahoney:
Poland's Offensive Underway to Build a Strong Polish-American Partnership,
- Poland's offensive is underway to strengthen Polish-American, transatlantic relations, for the building of a strong partnership. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to speak with Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, this was our next conversation - Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said at a press conference.
- Today's meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the U.S. Armed Forces, the second-highest-ranking U.S. soldier, a four-star general. General Mahoney was here at the Ministry of National Defence just moments ago. We discussed Polish-American relations and our strategic partnership together with General Kukuła and Ambassador Rose - he communicated.
10:10
Kosiniak-Kamysz after talks with Americans:
I've been assured Poland is a model ally.
- Yesterday and today, I have been assured once again that Poland is a model ally. It is an extremely important partner, if not the most important partner of the United States in Europe, that it fulfills all expectations for building a strong alliance, investing in security, taking responsibility for the security of Europe, the eastern flank of NATO, its own country, and its ability for self-defense – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference after a meeting with Ambassador Tom Rose and General Christopher Mahoney, Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
10:20
Kosiniak-Kamysz:
No Decision on Reducing US Troop Presence in Poland Has Been Made – This Has Been Confirmed
- From the very first day these press reports appeared, I was saying, calming the situation, that there is no decision to reduce the involvement of American troops in Poland, nor the involvement of the United States in building Poland's security. And this was confirmed yesterday. The statements we issued and that we gave in the last few days, all of them were confirmed yesterday and have been confirmed by the American side – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.
10:22
Kosiniak-Kamysz:
Decisions Made in the USA May Temporarily Delay, But Not Reduce, US Force Deployment in Poland
- We are pursuing a rational, calm policy of cooperation. Not through emotions, not through one-day events, but strategic. And no amount of informational noise that sometimes arises will disrupt this relationship - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.
- Decisions made in the United States and their consequences may temporarily delay the deployment of US forces in Poland. Temporarily - meaning exactly what we said, that no decision has been made to reduce, only a temporary halt - he emphasized.
10:32
Kosiniak-Kamysz Thanks the Government, President, and BBN:
We Speak with One Voice.
"I thank all centers of power. The entire government is involved in this. Thanks to the President, to the National Security Bureau, because here there is a common goal, common coordination, action. We speak with one voice. The presence of American troops, our strategic partnership and alliance are a value to us, they are a guarantee and they are the future," said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.
11:00
Kosiniak-Kamysz on the Reorganization of US Troops in Europe:
Poland Will Not Suffer Any Losses, and May Even Gain, for Example, a Permanent Presence.
- The process of reorganizing American troops in Europe is ongoing. We are now at the stage of planning a new model for the deployment of American forces. Poland is involved and has assurances that it will not suffer any losses as a result of this planning, and may even gain, for example, a permanent presence. However, as we are discussing this, I cannot provide a definitive statement on how it will ultimately look, because this planning process within the US Army has simply not yet concluded - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

Zandberg Addresses Dziemianowicz-Bąk:
Has This Government Gone Mad?
"Has this government gone mad? A state institution is attacking SIXTEEN-YEAR-OLDS for not working for pay?" - wrote Adrian Zandberg on X, addressing Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk.
"The minister has quite shamelessly filled the OHP with ELD apparatus cronies and briefcase-holders. Well, here are the results," he stated in another post.

11:37
- Mr. Prime Minister, Péter, my friend, we are all very moved in Poland, almost all of us, because for many months we watched with growing emotion and growing hope the course of events in your homeland - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference after meeting with Péter Magyar.
- I don't like lofty phrases or bombastic words, but your historic victory in Hungary is not only Hungary's return to Europe, to high standards, to honesty, to true democracy, it is also a sign of hope for millions of people in Europe and around the world that democracy, the rule of law, decency, morality in politics, that these are not lost causes - he continued.
11:47
- I wanted to say this in your presence, so you know that you have friends in Poland, I'd even dare say political disciples. We can appreciate valor, which has always connected Hungarians and Poles - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference after meeting with Péter Magyar.
11:50
Tusk:
Hungary and Poland will act as one fist, we have almost exclusively common interests
- Our Polish-Hungarian relations are traditionally very good. With a certain break, I have never hidden the fact that the last years of Viktor Orbán's government were not only a problem for Hungary, but also a dramatic stage in terms of Polish-Hungarian relations - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference after meeting with Péter Magyar.
- But it was never bad relations between Poles and Hungarians, we simply had a different point of view on most important matters in politics. Today, Péter Magyar is a guarantor that these traditional words about Polish-Hungarian friendship, about brothers, we no longer have to repeat these words like a mantra - he continued.
- Through daily work, we will show that Hungary and Poland will act as one fist, both in Brussels, in geopolitical matters, and in resolving various common interests, because we have almost exclusively common interests - he went on to say.
11:56
- Thank you very much for this declaration, made during our discussions about your readiness to renew and revitalize the Visegrad Group. These are precisely the final weeks of the Hungarian presidency in the Visegrad Group; if you manage to organize a Visegrad Group summit in Budapest, I will be more than happy - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference after meeting with Péter Magyar.
11:59
- Revitalizing the Visegrad Group is a broader project, we have an identical view on this with the Prime Minister, and we also have a common interest as both nations, that Central and Eastern Europe, from its northernmost borders to the south, for geopolitical reasons, due to common views, due to common actions against illegal migration, should become a place where the fate of Europe is also decided - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference after meeting with Péter Magyar.
12:04
Tusk on Ukraine After Meeting with Magyar:
We Share a Similar View.
- We will also work on a common European position on the issue of Ukraine. We share a similar view – Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at a press conference following his meeting with Péter Magyar.
- As you know, Ukraine is very interested in accelerating accession negotiations. Ukraine greatly desires membership in the European Union. Poland is fully supportive of these plans, but of course, due to our experiences regarding the economic situation, among other things, we will adhere to all the rules that also applied to Poland when joining the European Union – he continued.
- I am counting on cooperation with the Hungarian government here, friendly and critical cooperation when necessary. I think we will be able to develop a common position very quickly – he added.
12:18
Błaszczak:
Tusk is to blame for what is happening internationally and in relations with the USA
- Donald Tusk's disastrous government should resign as soon as possible. Donald Tusk's government also endangers Polish security, not only energy security but also military security. What is happening now internationally, in relations with the United States, is Tusk's fault. By attacking President Trump, Tusk has risked the security of our homeland - said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference organized in connection with the "Solidarity" demonstration.
12:20
Czarnek on exiting the ETS:
Some are trying to criticize and mock it - it's just wind lobbying.
12:20
Tusk:
Russia's aggression against Ukraine makes the threat to other borders a real one
- This war, Russia's aggression against Ukraine, makes the threat regarding other borders truly real. When I spoke about this a dozen or so days ago, it evoked emotions among some commentators in Poland as well - Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at a press conference after his meeting with Péter Magyar.
- I want to reiterate this emphatically once more. Today, fortunately, I am no longer alone. The Russo-Ukrainian war, Russia's aggressive policy towards Ukraine and its neighbors, can lead, and in the near future, to situations where a firm reaction will be necessary - he continued.
- I am convinced that the entire NATO, including our American allies, will take very seriously any potential threats and provocations that may arise, let's call it what it is, they are already appearing at this moment, particularly in relation to our Baltic neighbors - he went on to say.
12:31
Tusk on Detained Polish Citizens:
They Were Preparing for Sabotage Operations for Russia.
- I don't know if the information about the arrest of three citizens of the Republic of Poland today has reached you yet. Based on an investigation by the Internal Security Agency, it has been irrefutably established that they were carrying out intelligence tasks and were also preparing for potential sabotage operations in Poland for the benefit of the Russian Federation - Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at a press conference after meeting with Péter Magyar.
- Unfortunately, these are Polish citizens, and the matter is still developing. They were also involved in disinformation regarding the Russian-Ukrainian war and anti-Ukrainian, propaganda actions. They were also involved in the process of organizing weapons for Russians in Donbas - he continued.
12:33
Czarnek:
Poland Must Exit the ETS and Invite Other EU States to Join
- Poland must exit the ETS immediately. It must invite other European Union states to exit the ETS. We must save our economy, our industry, we must save the jobs of Poles – said Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference organized in connection with the "Solidarity" demonstration.
- Down with the ETS, we are leaving it, we declare to Mrs. von der Leyen together with the "Solidarity" people here today in Warsaw: we do not accept your climate religion, your leftist ideology, which is destroying Europe, destroying Poland – he continued.
12:36
Tusk:
'With joy, I received the declaration from Washington that Poland will be treated as it deserves'
- With joy, I received the declaration from Washington that when it comes to Poland, it will be treated as it deserves; it is a unique ally, and Americans see and appreciate that - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference following his meeting with Péter Magyar.
12:36
Czarnek:
These Unstable Renewables Simply Don't Work in Poland
- We have our coal, we have our deposits, we have our capabilities for action, for producing electricity that will be cheap, that will not force people to invest in renewable energy sources, which simply don't work in Poland – I'm talking about the unstable ones – and which will, of course, give entrepreneurs the opportunity to produce goods and services at competitive prices on the European market – said Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference organized in connection with a "Solidarity" demonstration.
12:41
Czarnek:
If the coalition senators reject the president's referendum today, it means they are rejecting the Polish nation
- We thank the President for the referendum initiative. I hope that today the Senate, in its majority, will respect the referendum initiative and give a voice to Poles who do not want the ECJ. This is evident in opinion polls, 75% of Poles do not want the ECJ. If the senators from Civic Platform, PSL, and The Left reject the president's referendum today, it means they are rejecting the Polish nation - said Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference organized in connection with the 'Solidarity' demonstration.
13:36
- Tomasz Sakiewicz appeared at the prosecutor's office upon summons, he was questioned as a witness. The questioning took place as part of an investigation into irregularities in the Justice Fund, specifically concerning obstruction of proceedings to facilitate a suspect's avoidance of criminal liability, primarily through assistance in escape - Przemysław Nowak stated at a press conference.
- Tomasz Sakiewicz gave testimony, and this procedure was formally completed correctly. However, he did not answer most of the questions, citing journalistic privilege. He also made extra-procedural statements for the record, entirely unrelated to the subject of this proceeding; in effect, statements of a political nature - he continued.
13:42
- For several days now, we have had official information that Zbigniew Ziobro, who is a suspect, left Europe on May 9th. He flew from Milan to the United States, to New York by air. He used a visa, and I quote here, for a "member of foreign media" - said Przemysław Nowak at a press conference.
- If the suspect Zbigniew Ziobro were sought by a European Arrest Warrant, which we have been requesting from the very beginning, since February 10th, then this kind of departure would have been impossible. If someone tried to leave Europe, the Schengen area, in this manner, they would have been detained - he continued.
13:47
Prosecutor's spokesperson on the Ziobro case:
Assisting a wanted suspect in their escape is a crime.
- Given that Zbigniew Ziobro was not internationally wanted [...] there were no grounds for his detention, which does not mean that Zbigniew Ziobro is a free man. He is a suspect, he is being pursued in Poland, and assisting a suspect wanted in Poland by a warrant in evading criminal responsibility, including escape, is a crime - said Przemysław Nowak at a press conference.
13:52
"President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda received the Prime Minister of Hungary, Péter Magyar, at the Belvedere Palace", the Presidential Chancellery informed.
"The main topics of the first meeting between the President of the Republic of Poland and the Prime Minister of Hungary were Polish-Hungarian relations, including economic cooperation, as well as support for Hungary's efforts to gain independence from Russian gas. Prosecutor's Spokesperson on Details of Detained Individuals Suspected of Espionage:
They Face a Penalty of Life Imprisonment.
- They face a penalty of life imprisonment, the minimum sentence is 8 years, this is a very serious crime - said Przemysław Nowak at a press conference, when asked about the detained individuals suspected of espionage for Russia.
- In this case, we have, in fact, several years of activity, lasting in the case of some suspects since 2019, of various kinds, sometimes under the guise of military, paramilitary training, while all these activities were carried out on behalf of Russian intelligence - he continued.
- Various behaviors, spreading pro-Russian propaganda, disinformation, preparing for acts of sabotage, as well as gathering information within typical intelligence operations, i.e., something that is strictly carried out by intelligence services, for example, about the deployment of NATO troops - he continued.
14:07
Prosecutor's spokesperson on potential charges for Sakiewicz:
Absolutely, it cannot be ruled out, but there are no grounds for it at this time.
- The fact that the prosecutor summoned him today as a witness means that there is no material to press charges against him today - said Przemysław Nowak at a press conference, when asked if Tomasz Sakiewicz could face charges in the near future.
- This thread of the proceedings is new, it may be separated into a separate investigation. To answer precisely: it absolutely cannot be ruled out, but there are no grounds for it at this time - he continued.

Szefernaker at a Solidarity Demonstration:
Thank You on Behalf of the President for Your Courage.
- I am here today on behalf of [...] President Karol Nawrocki to say to you: thank you, thank you, and thank you again - said Paweł Szefernaker during a Solidarity demonstration.
- I thank you on behalf of the president for your courage, for the demands you are making, for what you have proclaimed from the very beginning as Solidarity. For fighting for jobs, for fighting against the Green Deal, for fighting for Poland to be a Poland that develops, not a Poland that regresses. This is also President Karol Nawrocki's program - he continued.
- Much has been achieved; you have brought about changes in Poland. Today, we need to bring about change in Europe and also change in Poland. Without you, this will not succeed; without your support, it will not happen. All the more reason to thank you for being here - he went on to say.

Tusk in Gdańsk During a Joint Appearance with Magyar:
Everything Good in Europe Recently Started Anew in Budapest.
- Everything good in Europe started in Gdańsk. Everything good in Europe recently started anew in Budapest - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Gdańsk during a joint appearance with Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar.
- Both Prime Minister Magyar and I believed, and we believe today even more than ever before, that, as we often repeat, there are more people of good will and that evil can be overcome if one has the heart to fight - he continued.
- A moment ago, Lech Wałęsa reminded us of his words from the communist era. He once said: they can kill me, but they will never defeat me. We heard similar words from Péter Magyar during the campaign as well, when he took up the fight for everything: for a Hungary free from corruption, for a Hungary free from corrupt power, for a Hungary that is returning to Europe thanks to him, and also for Polish-Hungarian friendship - he went on to say.
- Yes, this is something that unites us all. They will never defeat us. They can kill us, but they will never defeat people who believe in good, truth, and decency in politics - he added.

Karczewski Ahead of Debate on President's Referendum Proposal:
All PiS Senators Will Vote For It.
- All PiS senators will vote for holding this referendum [at the president's request], which is extremely important, very important for the citizens, because the issue is significant and important for every household, every company, all of Poland, not only now but also in the future. I will say more, this referendum is necessary not only for Poland, for the Polish government, to show the direction citizens want to take, but also for the EU, for Europe, because the climate ideology being implemented at a frightening pace is destroying Europe - stated Stanisław Karczewski at a press briefing.
- PO has changed its name to a coalition, but it remains Civic, and it continues to turn its back on citizens. It doesn't want to listen to citizens, it doesn't talk to citizens. Today, we listened to the voice of trade unionists. Trade unionists say - there is no dialogue, they don't talk to us, I don't want to talk - he continued.

Czarnek on the President's Referendum Proposal:
An Excellent Initiative That Reads the Public Mood.
- President Nawrocki has truly come up with an excellent initiative that reads the public mood. A recent poll found that 75% of society is in favour of withdrawing from the climatic, absurd Brussels policy. Not withdrawing from the EU, but moving away from this left-liberal ideology that is draining their pockets - stated Przemysław Czarnek at a press briefing.
- What happened today on the streets of Warsaw and the recent poll show that if those senators from KO, PSL, and Lewica vote against the referendum, it will be a vote against the Polish nation, against the society, which overwhelmingly wants to leave the ETS - he continued.

"The Head of the National Security Bureau, Bartosz Grodecki, spoke today with Under Secretary Elbridge Colby", the BBN informed on X.
"Under Secretary Colby emphasized the importance of good relations between US President Donald Trump and Polish President Karol Nawrocki for shaping American-Polish relations. He signaled that the announced changes in US force engagement in Europe will take into account Poland's status as a model and priority ally of the United States. He stressed that the Republic of Poland can count on the maintenance of strong US military engagement", the communiqué reads.
"On behalf of the President of the Republic of Poland, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the Head of the BBN thanked for the current engagement of American troops in strengthening Poland's security. He confirmed the commitment to transatlantic relations and the importance of the strategic Polish-American alliance for the security of the Republic of Poland and the entire eastern flank of NATO. In the near future, the Head of the BBN and the Under Secretary for Policy in the Department of War will meet in person", it was noted.

Zgorzelski on the Referendum Proposed by Nawrocki:
A Leading Question Suggests What 90% of Poles Would Deem Right.
- Just as the President has the right to submit a referendum proposal, the Senate also has the right to consider such a proposal, either positively or negatively - said Piotr Zgorzelski in an interview with Marek Tejchman on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of Events) on Polsat News.
- It concerns [the referendum] a serious problem, but the question, which is formulated with a leading premise, suggests what 90% of Poles would certainly deem right, because simply put, this European Union energy policy is bad - he continued.

Zgorzelski on His Conversation with Domański:
He Said Funds for Healthcare Must Be Found.
- First and foremost, we need to address the anxieties [...] related to the difficult situation in healthcare, and Minister Domański, with whom I spoke a few dozen hours ago, said that funds for healthcare must be found, because there is no other option - said Piotr Zgorzelski on Polsat News.
19:54
Zgorzelski on His Observations:
No Particular Reconstruction Appears on the Horizon.
- Reorganization of the government or reconstruction is the prerogative of the prime minister and coalition leaders [...] a few dozen hours ago I had the opportunity to talk in a certain group and I had the impression that no particular reconstruction appears on the horizon - said Piotr Zgorzelski in Polsat News.
19:59
- In my opinion, he communicates very well because he is responsible for it. He cannot afford political games, various kinds of verbal acrobatics that would boost his domestic ratings, because he is responsible for Poland's security – said Piotr Zgorzelski on Polsat News, when asked if Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz communicates better with Americans than Włodzimierz Czarzasty and Prime Minister Tusk.

Zgorzelski:
Szpytma is a Good Candidate for IPN President. We Want to Choose Him Within the Coalition
- Yes, he is a good candidate for the president of the IPN. I saw him 15 minutes ago at the opening of the Witos Institute. [...] He is a very good historian, his life's work is the Museum of Poles Saving Jews of the Ulm Family - said Piotr Zgorzelski in Polsat News, when asked if Mateusz Szpytma is a good candidate for the IPN president.
- We have given ourselves some time to discuss this, historians have also expressed their opinions on this matter - he continued, after the host pointed out that the coalition partners do not share the PSL's opinion on this issue.
- There are different votes, but we want to choose Mateusz Szpytma within the coalition, which is why we are giving ourselves time, probably until the holidays, to resolve this matter, either one way or the other, because you can't keep a person waiting for so long - he continued, when asked if he could imagine Mateusz Szpytma being chosen with PiS.
- I am an optimist and I believe that there are more people of good will - he added, when asked if, should the coalition not be convinced, the PSL would vote with PiS regarding the IPN president.
When asked if he was "not saying no" regarding a potential vote with PiS, Zgorzelski did not answer.

Zgorzelski:
If We Cannot Approach This Matter with a Pro-State Understanding, a Commissioner Might Soon Be Appointed to the NBP
- I am convinced that this issue will return soon, and it will have to be resolved, because if not, if we cannot all approach this matter with a pro-state understanding, then a commissioner might soon be appointed to the National Bank of Poland - said Piotr Zgorzelski in Polsat News, when asked about the upcoming crisis in the NBP related to the end of the current management board's term and the lack of agreement on new appointees.
20:18
Zgorzelski:
If PiS Colleagues Had Doubts About the National Council of the Judiciary, They Wouldn't Nominate Judge Piebiak
- Yes - Piotr Zgorzelski said on Polsat News when asked if the Sejm had elected a new National Council of the Judiciary (KRS).
- Regarding the KRS, I think that if our colleagues from Law and Justice had any doubts, they wouldn't nominate Judge Piebiak as a parliamentary club - he continued.
- This was the fulfillment of the requirements of a difficult to endure, but nonetheless binding law - he went on to say, after the host pointed out that he wasn't an ideal candidate for the coalition.
20:22
- No. I mean, maybe someone overheard him persuading the president, or maybe there's some evidence we don't know about and I'm smiling unnecessarily, but the formulation of this charge is slightly... - said Piotr Zgorzelski in Polsat News, when asked about the planned interrogation of Zbigniew Bogucki regarding persuading the president not to swear in Constitutional Tribunal judges, and whether he understood this accusation.
- This means, as if the president was deprived of his own will and it was only Minister Bogucki's persuasion that caused him not to accept? - he continued.
- Apparently, they have some premises, evidence, I don't know, as they say, accusations, that they formulated the decision to summon Minister Bogucki that way. I think it will primarily favor support for Minister Bogucki personally and for Law and Justice as a party - he continued, when asked if he would advise the prosecution not to do it.

Kaczyński After Today's Solidarity Protest:
Patriotic Poland is Awakening. This is Just the Beginning.
- Today is another day when Poles have shown unity and strength in protest against the disastrous actions of the Tusk government. Patriotic Poland is awakening - Jarosław Kaczyński wrote on the X portal, congratulating "Solidarity" and its chairman, Piotr Duda.
- Thank you for your commitment and the large turnout on the streets of Warsaw. This is just the beginning. Important, crucial months lie ahead… For them, we hope, the final ones. To victory - indicated the PiS chairman.

Kaczyński:
Tusk's Backers are Growing Impatient
"The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung has laid it all out: the rule of law is, in essence, pro-German. According to the Germans, Tusk has failed in restoring the rule of law as they understand it… In line with their expectations, parties rejecting German dominance were supposed to be eliminated in Poland, yet they still exist… They have never been known for their sincerity, and look at this now. Tusk's backers are growing impatient" - wrote Jarosław Kaczyński on X.

Kosiniak-Kamysz:
Halted Rotation Does Not Mean Reduced Target Presence of US Troops in Poland
- This is a success of yesterday's conversation, that the first communiqué calming the situation regarding Poland is coming out, stating that the reorganization of American troops in Europe is ongoing and Poland will also participate in this planning process - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in an interview with Monika Olejnik on TVN24's "Kropka nad i".
- The halted rotation does not mean a reduction in the target presence of American troops in Poland, and this is the most important thing. They are not withdrawn, only temporarily suspended. It concerns the reorganization of the United States Army and its presence in Europe - he indicated.
- 5,000 soldiers are to be withdrawn from Germany. This cannot be done just like that, overnight. They found an easier way - a temporary suspension of rotation, but ultimately there will be a completely different organization of American troops - he added.
21:40
Kosiniak-Kamysz:
We will discuss not only rotational but also permanent presence of US troops
- We will discuss not about rotational, but about permanent presence, and this is the planning process. Today I spoke with the Deputy [Chairman of the] Joint Chiefs of Staff. A second American soldier has arrived in Poland, who clearly says: 'I served with Poles, I am very proud of it. You are the best soldiers, we are not leaving you, we will continue to operate and cooperate here' - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TVN24's "Kropka nad i" (Point Over the 'i').
21:51
Kosiniak-Kamysz:
Somehow, others from Europe didn't reach Hegseth or the Vice President and didn't hear the statement that 'it won't concern you'
- Somehow, others from Europe didn't reach Pete Hegseth or the Vice President and didn't hear such a statement, that 'it won't concern you' – and Poland heard it – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TVN24's "Kropka nad i" (A Dot Over the i).
- Of course, I would have preferred this not to happen. I would have preferred President Trump's decision to withdraw troops from Germany not to affect Poland, and for a moment it did, but fortunately, in the long run, it doesn't change the presence – he continued.
21:58
Kosiniak-Kamysz on US troops:
We showed effectiveness in a difficult situation. Other European countries did not achieve what we did.
- I was quite calm because the talks with General Grynkewich, who never deceived me or misled me, had been heading in that direction from the start. I was just missing one thing – confirmation from the United States. Because my statements, the statements of my deputies, General Kukuła, were not confirmed by the other side – until yesterday – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in "Kropka nad i" on TVN24.
- Yesterday, confirmation came from Vice President Vance and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. We showed effectiveness in actions within a difficult situation, where other European countries did not achieve what we did – he pointed out.
