Tuesday's Political Agenda: Nawrocki at the 11th Three Seas Summit, Sejm Debates Hennig-Kloski's Dismissal, Partnership Unions, and Glapiński

At 9:30 AM, a press conference will be held by Sejm Marshal Włodzimierz Czarzasty, prior to the 56th session, which commences at 10:00 AM.

Lawmakers will address, among other things, amendments to the Tax Ordinance – one of the proposals from the so-called deregulation package, and the government's draft law on the metropolitan union in the Pomeranian Voivodeship.

10 Points on the Government's Agenda

The Council of Ministers session will begin at 12:00 PM. The agenda includes, among others, a draft report on the implementation of the medium-term budget and structural plan for 2025-2028, and a draft of long-term macroeconomic assumptions for 2026-2030.

Ministers will also consider a draft law on special measures to protect individuals participating in public debate, as well as a draft amendment to certain laws to support shipping companies and create conditions for their operation under the Polish flag.

Committees on Partnership Unions, No-Confidence Vote, and Glapiński

At 12:15 PM, an extraordinary Sejm committee will hold a general discussion on the government's draft law – Provisions introducing the law on the status of a next of kin in a union and a cohabitation agreement.

At 2:00 PM, the Sejm Committee for Constitutional Responsibility will, in a closed session, hear testimony from Bartłomiej Pawlak, Jadwiga Emilewicz, Mateusz Morawiecki, and Piotr Karnkowski, summoned as witnesses in the preliminary motion to hold NBP President Adam Glapiński constitutionally responsible before the State Tribunal.

At 6:00 PM, the Sejm Committee on Environment, Natural Resources, and Forestry will consider and provide an opinion on the motion for a vote of no confidence in the Minister of Climate and Environment, Paulina Hennig-Kloski.

President Nawrocki at the 11th Three Seas Summit

President Karol Nawrocki and his wife, Marta Nawrocka, are beginning a visit to Croatia in connection with their participation in the 11th Summit and Business Forum of the Three Seas Initiative in Dubrovnik.

At 9:15 AM, the head of state will meet with U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright, and at 1:10 PM – with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković.

Around 1:45 PM, a welcoming ceremony for heads of state and government delegations participating in the Three Seas Initiative Summit will take place, followed at 2:10 PM by the President's welcome by the Croatian Prime Minister, and then a joint photograph.

At 2:30 PM, the plenary session of the 11th Three Seas Summit will commence, and at 5:00 PM – a meeting between President Nawrocki, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, and Slovak President Peter Pellegrini with media representatives. The final item is an official dinner at 8:30 PM.

07:42

Hennig-Kloska on the vote of no confidence:

I believe that in the end, reason will prevail.

- Today we have a commission that will answer all these questions. It would be very irresponsible [if the coalition broke up]. Confederation submitted the motion for a vote of no confidence precisely for this reason, they didn't even particularly hide it, to divide the governing coalition - stated Paulina Hennig-Kloska in the "Piasecki's Conversation" on TVN24.

- I note with sadness that some have stepped into this role, written by Confederation. But I believe that in the end, reason will prevail - she continued.

07:48

Hennig-Kloska:

People are Tired of Political Spectacles. They Expect Coalition Partners to Cooperate

- People have had enough of political spectacles. They are tired of them. They expect coalition partners to cooperate with each other, and I am ready and indeed obliged to cooperate with every coalition partner. I am currently assisting Minister Pełczyńska-Nałęcz in constructing a proposal for the EC, the upcoming, final revision of the KPO - stated Paulina Hennig-Kloska in "Piasecki's Conversation" on TVN24.

08:03

Hennig-Kloska:

I'm Not Considering a Government Reshuffle, I'm Not Even Engaging in Twitter Debates

- For two years they've been trying to remove me. That's the life of a minister. I have a position in the Sejm until 2027, with a similar salary. I'm truly a task-oriented person, my club recommends me for this role, the Prime Minister recommends me for this role, I perform this role, and I'm not considering a government reshuffle - stated Paulina Hennig-Kloska in "Piasecki's Interview" on TVN24.

- I'm not even engaging in those Twitter debates because I'm focused on ensuring the deposit system works well, on fixing the "Clean Air" program, on increasing our energy production from RES, and on achieving freedom from the pressure of imported fossil fuels at a time when the Strait of Hormuz is being closed to us. That's my job - she continued.

08:07

CPN Program Extended: Szłapka on the Finance Minister's Decision

- Yes, this decision has been extended from April 30th to May 15th, and as the situation develops, we will also monitor it to ensure the best possible solutions for consumers are maintained - said Adam Szłapka in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News' "Graffiti," when asked about the finance minister's regulations concerning the "Lower Fuel Prices" program.

- I recall that this solution, in my opinion and I think in the opinion of most Poles, is the best solution in Europe. Because excise duty and VAT on fuel have been reduced, and an algorithm has also been introduced that prevents large companies from speculating on fuel or making any such excessive profits - he continued.

- For now, we are sticking to May 15th. But I think consumers in Poland, seeing how quickly and effectively the government reacted, can rest assured - he stated.

08:15

Szłapka on the Vote Regarding Hennig-Kloska:

I'm Rather Calm.

- I'm not accusing Minister Pełczyńska-Nałęcz of bluffing. I think there's a heated atmosphere within the Poland 2050 club itself. They are discussing this topic. However, I am rather calm when it comes to the vote itself [on the vote of no confidence against Paulina Hennig-Kloska] – said Adam Szłapka in Polsat News' "Graffiti".

- There was also a meeting between the Prime Minister and Minister Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, and the Minister very clearly declared that the Poland 2050 club or party wants to be in the coalition, supports the coalition, even though they sometimes voice their doubts loudly – he stated.

08:19

Szłapka:

The Condition for the Coalition's Survival is to Defend All Our Ministers

- It's like this: 'we want to be in the coalition' is a necessary condition for the coalition to last - but not a sufficient one. A sufficient and necessary condition is to defend all our ministers. And such a declaration was also made by Minister Pełczyńska-Nałęcz - said Adam Szłapka in the "Graffiti" program on Polsat News.

08:25

Szłapka Attacks Pełczyńska-Nałęcz:

She Stepped Out of Line, It's Not Within Her Competencies.

- I disagree with Minister Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on this. Whether a project is governmental or parliamentary, in this case, it is fundamentally important, and such information, even public information, must first be agreed upon with the Minister of Finance, Andrzej Domański - said Adam Szłapka on Polsat News' "Graffiti," when asked about Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz's post below.

When asked if the minister had stepped out of line, he replied: - Well, of course, I mean, it's simply not within her scope of competencies. If she wants to write such things, she should first ask Minister Domański if he is working on it or not, and then one can speak about such matters publicly.

08:28

Czarzasty on Attempts to Recall Sobierańska-Grenda and Hennig-Kloska, and the Future of the Coalition:

I Don't See a Threat.

- I don't anticipate, I think that both Ms. Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda and Paulina Hennig Kloska [...] these no-confidence motions will be defended. Frankly, I don't see a threat, but I do see a discussion about healthcare, and I also see a discussion about the functioning of the coalition - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty in the "Morning Interview" on RMF FM, when asked if it would be a decisive week for the coalition, for the two ministers.

08:33

Czarzasty:

A Radical Change in Healthcare is Needed. Implementing Changes Doesn't Have to Start with Dismissal

- We are not satisfied with the healthcare system and believe that a radical change is necessary. Regarding the minister, we are a responsible coalition, and we believe that changes in healthcare and resolving these issues can be handled within the coalition - Włodzimierz Czarzasty said on RMF FM.

- We do not believe that dismissing the minister is the best and most effective course of action right now. Why? Because it destabilizes the coalition, and the alternative to this coalition is one where the Left would certainly not be included, as it would be a coalition of Braun, Nawrocki, Mentzen, and Kaczyński - he continued.

- Implementing changes does not necessarily have to begin with dismissing a person - he further stated.

08:39

Szłapka:

Based on the data I have, healthcare queues are shorter than under PiS

- This is all about fixing gigantic mistakes that were made by our predecessors. Based on the data I have, the queues are shorter than during the PiS era. This all requires work. I'm not saying that everything is perfect, but there is indeed a lot to be done in healthcare - said Adam Szłapka in "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

- Oh, Demagog will probably have to check if these queues are shorter - replied Marcin Fijołek.

- I said that according to the information I have. But it depends on what specific... - added the government spokesperson.

08:40

Czarzasty on the Situation in the Ministry of Health:

The Model of Depoliticization Has Probably Not Worked.

- We believe that this model of depoliticization, of not taking responsibility, and of strong non-interference by structures in the functioning of individual ministries has probably not worked, but this is a discussion for the details at a coalition meeting – said Włodzimierz Czarzasty in RMF FM, referring to the Ministry of Health.

08:44

Szłapka:

A letter from ABW holds far less value for the President than the CPAC conference, which Zondacrypto financed 100%

- 'The government cannot cover up its incompetence and helplessness in failing to control the cryptocurrency market with lies. Hold yourselves accountable, not the opposition,' the President wrote, stating that he received the first letter from ABW on December 12th, 11 days after vetoing the act, said Marcin Fijołek in Polsat News's 'Graffiti'.

- And he vetoed it a second time. Where is the logic? - replied Adam Szłapka.

He continued: - It is clearly visible that a letter from ABW holds far less value for the President than the CPAC conference in Rzeszów, which Zondacrypto financed 100%.

08:46

Czarzasty on the Cryptocurrency Bill:

We Believe It Would Have Prevented Some Negative Actions Related to Zondacrypto.

- We prepared a bill on this matter twice. The first bill, had it been introduced, we believe would have prevented some negative actions related to Zondacrypto. I can't say to what extent at this moment, because I don't know, it has already happened - said Włodzimierz Czarzasty on RMF FM.

08:47

Szłapka on the Cryptocurrency Affair:

The President Behaved Like a Typical PiS Troll,

- Frankly, I'll say this – the president behaved like a typical PiS troll, a regular PiS troll, who is trying to defend himself because he knows full well that this affair [concerning cryptocurrencies] burdens his inner circle and the entire Law and Justice party (PiS) 100% – Adam Szłapka stated on Polsat News's "Graffiti."

- The Internal Security Agency (ABW) is investigating this matter [Zondacrypto]. The ABW's task is to inform officials. The president received a memo on this issue. There was also a classified Sejm session in December – he continued.

- A bill was prepared last year to regulate this market. There were two vetoes. […] The president's determination in defending this company and blocking the regulation of this market […] is something every voter should examine very carefully. Ziobro's foundation receives money from Kral, Wipler's foundation receives money from Kral… – he pointed out.

08:55

Czarzasty:

No Serious Country Reveals Intelligence Officers or Contacts

- Anonymizing surnames will achieve nothing. Foreign services, based on context [...], will 100% know who these individuals are. No serious country reveals intelligence officers, it doesn't reveal its contacts - said Włodzimierz Czarzasty on RMF FM.

- People who would potentially cooperate with intelligence and do good things for us, for Poland, for the country, will not do so because they will fear that in 10 years, in 20 years, their names will be publicized. The services of other countries will not have full trust in our services, because they won't know if this cooperation will not be described somewhere - he continued.

- I have not read this report [regarding the WSI] and the question is whether I will read it at all. [...] I don't know if I want to participate in a process that I consider harmful to Poland's national interest. [...] This is participating in a procedure that will lead to a decrease in the credibility of Polish services - he added.

09:37

President and Prime Minister's Potential Attendance, Voting Rescheduled: Czarzasty on Litewka's Funeral

- The participation of the President and the Prime Minister is anticipated, but please do not treat this as a final statement. Regarding the organization of parliamentary work, we have moved all votes from tomorrow to today. Consequently, every Member of Parliament who wishes to attend this sad ceremony will be provided with assistance for both getting to the venue and returning - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference in the Sejm.

09:37

Fines for Matecki and Woś. Czarzasty on the Consequences

- Yesterday, at the Sejm Presidium, consequences were imposed on MPs Dariusz Matecki and Michał Woś. This is in connection with the disruption of order and proceedings by these two gentlemen MPs. The decision of the Sejm Presidium was unanimous; the honourable MPs have been punished with a 3-month penalty, involving the deduction of half of their remuneration for each of them for 3 months - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference in the Sejm.

09:38

Czarzasty:

I Have Initiated the Procedure for Nominating Candidates for the RPO Position

- Yesterday, I made a decision. As the term of RPO Marcin Wiącek ends on July 23rd, I have initiated the procedure for nominating candidates for the RPO position - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference in the Sejm.

Nominations can be submitted until June 23rd.

09:49

Czarzasty Suggests Coalition Meeting

- We can expect anything. There has been no coalition meeting on this matter. It will probably happen in the near future, we will probably discuss this topic [cryptocurrencies] - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference in the Sejm.

10:35

Czarnek:

Not Just Sobierańska-Grenda. Tusk and the Entire Government Should Resign for Deceiving Poles

- 5 million 400 thousand Poles, nearly 5 million 400 thousand Poles, are currently waiting in queues to see doctors. One million 123 thousand of them are patients who are in urgent need, whose lives are threatened. They too are waiting in long queues. 91% of the 207 district hospitals incurred losses on their core medical operations in 2025. District hospitals, based solely on these operations, reported losses amounting to approximately 1 billion 850 million - stated Przemysław Czarnek in the Sejm.

- That's as much as you haven't paid them for treating Poles who pay into the National Health Fund. Meanwhile, Mr. Berek, Tusk's right-hand man, the Minister of Health, because he is the Minister of Health, says it's dishonest to perform excess services in hospitals, meaning to treat people who pay contributions to the NFZ. Not only Ms. Sobierańska-Grenda, but Tusk and this entire government should resign for deceiving Poles - he continued.

10:40

"Our Party Has Absolutely Nothing to Do With This": Kaczyński on the Cryptocurrency Scandal

– [There is] another, incredibly brazen attempt to attribute responsibility for the cryptocurrency scandal and the company that ran it to Law and Justice. Our party has absolutely nothing to do with this – said Jarosław Kaczyński at a press conference in the Sejm.

10:42

Kaczyński:

Services Engage in Unlawful Actions Against Opposition, Yet Were Remarkably Inactive Regarding Cryptocurrencies

- All of this has been happening over the past few years under the control of services that are entirely at the disposal of the current government, in a way that far exceeds normal state dependencies. They are carrying out various unlawful actions against the opposition, while, for some reason, they were remarkably inactive when it came to this matter [Zondacrypto] - Jarosław Kaczyński stated at a press conference in the Sejm.

10:43

Kaczyński:

The cryptocurrency scandal will eventually be resolved. I have no doubt who will ultimately be held responsible

- The time will come when this scandal [regarding cryptocurrencies] will be resolved. I have no doubt who will ultimately be held responsible - said Jarosław Kaczyński at a press conference in the Sejm.

10:45

Kaczyński:

Claims that organizations linked to us received money from Zondacrypto are untrue. A certain television station received it, but it is not linked to us.

- The claims that any organizations linked to us received any money from this company [Zondacrypto] are simply untrue. It is known, for example, that a certain television station received it, but it is definitely not linked to us and, honestly speaking, we don't agree on every matter. That's putting it mildly - said Jarosław Kaczyński at a press conference in the Sejm.

10:51

Kaczyński:

I am a staunch supporter of a complete ban on cryptocurrencies

- I am a staunch supporter of a complete ban on cryptocurrencies - said Jarosław Kaczyński at a press conference in the Sejm.

11:00

Morawiecki Publishes Video:

Patients Can No Longer Pay for the Government's Incompetence.

"A lack of funds is a real threat to the health and lives of Poles! Patients can no longer pay for the incompetence of this government." - wrote Mateusz Morawiecki on X.

The former Prime Minister also published a video, which addressed, among other things, the issue of limiting the National Health Fund's (NFZ) financing of so-called over-performances.

13:15

Andrzej Poczobut Freed. Tusk Confirms

- Andrzej Poczobut is free! Welcome to a Polish home, Friend - wrote Prime Minister Donald Tusk on social media.

13:32

Bogucki:

Until December 5th, the President Had No Official Information from Services Regarding Cryptoasset Risks

- Until December 5th, the President had no, I emphasize, no official information from the services supervised by Prime Minister Tusk regarding the risks associated with the cryptoasset market. No information. Neither from the ABW nor from other services - said Zbigniew Bogucki at a press briefing.

13:34

Nawrocki on Poczobut's Release:

USA, led by Trump, Deliver on Commitments

- Andrzej Poczobut is already in the Republic of Poland, he has been released by Lukashenka's regime. A man who has proven how strong Polishness is, the attachment to Polish values, for which he paid a very high price in the harsh prison of Lukashenka's regime. I am very happy, we welcome Andrzej Poczobut to Poland - stated President Karol Nawrocki at a press briefing in Croatia.

- I invite Mr. Andrzej to receive, of course, after the entire adaptation process, the Order of the White Eagle, which is the most important Polish distinction. I also want to say that the process of releasing Andrzej Poczobut, which was very long, has come to an end. This process was primarily strengthened by my discussion with President Trump and in essence began already in September 2025. As the newly sworn-in President of Poland, I asked President Trump not to forget about the Pole who is in prison and to raise this issue in all negotiations with the Belarusian regime - the president continued.

- The topic of Andrzej Poczobut appeared in subsequent conversations. Yesterday, at a meeting with President Trump's special envoy to Belarus, I received information that if everything goes well, and we have just learned that everything has gone well, Andrzej Poczobut will be in the Republic of Poland. This is also an opportunity to say once again, from Dubrovnik, to all Poles, that our partner, our strategic ally, the USA, led by President Trump, delivers on those commitments that we discuss during our bilateral meetings - he added.

13:36

Bogucki on the Poland 2050 Project:

It's Not Perfect, but It's Closer to What the President Aims For.

- Today, I also had a meeting with Member of Parliament Gomoła, who is the author of the Poland 2050 project [concerning cryptocurrencies], which was submitted to the Sejm, if I recall correctly, in December 2025, and has not been processed since then - said Zbigniew Bogucki at a press briefing.

- It's not a perfect project, but it's a project closer to what the President aims for. It contains at least some solutions that, one could say, remove some of the President's doubts. The question is whether the Marshal of the Sejm will be able to process this project - he continued.

13:40

Sikorski on Poczobut's Release:

This Day Wouldn't Be Possible Without Trump, His Decisions, and a Special Envoy.

- Dear compatriots, let us rejoice, we have him. After 1860 days in a high-security prison, our heroic compatriot, a martyr for the cause of freedom, Andrzej Poczobut, is in Poland, safe and sound. This is a wonderful day, an example of an excellent Polish-American alliance. This day wouldn't be possible without President Donald Trump, his decisions, and his special envoy John Coale, as well as the entire team at the Department of State - stated Radosław Sikorski at a press conference at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

13:44

Sikorski:

A Day All Polish Patriots Should Celebrate Success

- I believe this is a day when all Poles, all Polish patriots, should rejoice in this success. It is also proof that consistent actions by the international community, in this case led by the USA, yield results. Poland will continue its joint effort to free all political prisoners - stated Radosław Sikorski at a press conference at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

13:44

Sikorski:

Poland Appreciates US Actions to Limit Hybrid Pressure Against the EU from Belarus

- Poland appreciates the actions of the United States aimed at limiting hybrid pressure against the EU originating from Belarus. This year, we have not had any illegal crossings of our border. Our priority is EU unity - stated Radosław Sikorski at a press conference at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

13:45

Sikorski:

I Would Like to Emphasize the Great Contribution of the American Side and Personally Trump to This Happy Success

- I would like to once again emphasize the great contribution of the American side and personally President Donald Trump to this happy success - stated Radosław Sikorski at a press conference at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

13:48

"Let Them Answer the Questions." Bogucki Accuses the Ruling Party of "Crypto-Lying"

- We are dealing with political chicanery, with the chaotic dance of Donald Tusk and his ministers, who, pay attention, in order to hide their indolence, their guilt, and their mistakes regarding the protection of services, the prosecution office, the actions of the Police and law enforcement agencies, are trying to shift responsibility onto the President of the Republic and part of the opposition - said Zbigniew Bogucki at a press briefing.

- This is the crypto-lying that is being disseminated today by Donald Tusk and his lieutenants. Let them answer the questions why they did not initiate investigations, why they did not inform the president sufficiently in advance, why today they are using classified information - he continued.

13:52

The Culmination of a Two-Year Complex Diplomatic Game, Full of Dramatic Twists and Turns." Tusk on the Backstage of Poczobut’s Release

- The exchange at the Polish-Belarusian border is the culmination of a two-year complex diplomatic game, full of dramatic twists and turns - wrote Prime Minister Donald Tusk on social media.

- It was achieved thanks to the excellent work of our services, diplomats, and prosecutors, as well as the great help of our American, Romanian, and Moldovan friends. I thank you all on behalf of Andrzej Poczobut and myself - he stressed.

13:54

Kaczyński:

European Parliament has approved further repression against opposition politicians

"Once again, the European Parliament has approved further repression against opposition politicians" - wrote Jarosław Kaczyński on X.

"Patryk Jaki is being slandered for telling the truth, namely that during the PiS era, operational control was only applied with court consent. In turn, Daniel Obajtek has been stripped of his immunity because he dared to defend religious feelings and Saint John Paul II by withdrawing the weekly "NIE" from Orlen stations, which slandered our Great Pole." - he continued in his post.

"In Tusk's Poland, it is not the publishers of the blasphemous weekly or those who spread false propaganda who bear responsibility, but those who stand on the side of truth and values important to millions of Poles. The time will still come when good, honesty, and decency will prevail!" - he added.

13:56

Bogucki on 4 Constitutional Tribunal Judges:

They Should Go to the Marshal of the Sejm and Ask What to Do Now.

- Regarding those individuals who were elected by the Sejm to the positions of Constitutional Tribunal judges, but have not taken office due to the lack of an oath [...] they should ask the Marshal of the Sejm what is to be done with them. Marshal Czarzasty organized this event [the oath-taking in the Sejm], so I think they should go to him and ask the Marshal what they should do now - said Zbigniew Bogucki at a press briefing.

14:00

Bogucki criticizes the government over its stance on cryptocurrencies:

They couldn't admit their mistake any more clearly.

- If it were so dramatic, the state should have acted immediately from December 5th. Acted to attack all those who pose a threat through crypto-asset markets. Has anything happened since then? Nothing. Poles have at best lost money due to this lack of activity from the services and Donald Tusk's government, not due to a lack of legislation, because they are initiating an investigation on April 17th after the second veto - said Zbigniew Bogucki at a press briefing.

- This is a disgrace, it is a complete compromise of Mr. Żurek, of this government, meaning, they couldn't admit their mistake any more clearly than by initiating an investigation on April 17th, having previously said they lacked the instruments to intervene - he continued.

15:23

Szłapka:

The PiS Crypto-Scandal Cannot Simply Be Washed Off the Faces of its Politicians

- This scandal, the PiS crypto-scandal, cannot simply be washed off the faces of Law and Justice politicians. Whatever they say, whatever President Nawrocki tweets today, whatever Minister Bogucki says at a conference, or even Jarosław Kaczyński himself saying that this entire market should be banned - Adam Szłapka stated at a press conference.

- There will be another bill, and this time the party leader will have an opportunity to prove himself. We will see if he can control MPs, for example, those associated with Zbigniew Ziobro - he continued.

15:29

Kaczyński on Poczobut's release:

This is why the Polish-American alliance matters.

"Andrzej Poczobut is free! This day could have come many months ago, during the prisoner exchange in Ankara. At that time, the Tusk government missed this opportunity. Fortunately, better late than never. This is precisely why the Polish-American alliance matters. Congratulations to President Karol Nawrocki." - wrote Jarosław Kaczyński on X.

15:38

Szłapka on Transcribing Marriage Certificates for Same-Sex Couples:

A Matter of Days Until Administrative Decisions Are Made.

- In a state governed by the rule of law, judgments are simply respected, but there is always a need for some administrative agreement to ensure that the respect for these judgments proceeds smoothly. And so, the ministers [Kierwiński and Gawkowski] are in constant contact and are working to prepare this matter in the most optimal way. I believe it is a matter of days until administrative decisions on this issue are made - said Adam Szłapka at a press conference, when asked about the transcription of marriage certificates for same-sex couples.

15:39

Sikorski after speaking with Poczobut:

He is exhausted but in good shape.

- After a brief conversation with the released [individual], I found him to be exhausted but in good shape. The whole of Poland rejoices in his freedom. We do not abandon our own - wrote Radosław Sikorski on social media.

16:20

Tusk on Poczobut’s Release:

A Symmetric Exchange Took Place.

- I am returning directly from the Polish-Belarusian border, from the place where a symmetric exchange took place, 5 for 5. The aim of this exchange from the Polish point of view was primarily to free Poles and those who cooperated with Poland. I know that some media outlets have already released the names, and of course, in the center of attention, understandably, is the Polish Belarusian, or Belarusian Pole, Andrzej Poczobut - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

16:24

Tusk on Poczobut's Release:

We Made Numerous Attempts to Convince Belarusian Authorities.

- The matter of Andrzej Poczobut's release is a long and very complicated, and at the same time, sensational story. We made numerous attempts to convince the Belarusian authorities to release Andrzej Poczobut, and if necessary, for some kind of exchange so that Andrzej Poczobut could be in Poland, and above all, free - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

- This story was long and had many twists and turns. It was very difficult to count on fairness and reliability from the Belarusian side - he continued.

16:31

Tusk on Poczobut's Release:

The USA Played a Crucial Role.

- We should all be happy, and I do not accept any form of racing for applause for this action. Everyone who contributed, everyone who has any merit, can truly count on my genuine gratitude and a sincere thank you. I would like to emphasize above all the absolutely crucial role of our services, primarily the AW and ABW, and the extremely crucial, truly very important personal role of Minister Siemoniak - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press briefing.

- Secondly, the diplomats. Minister Sikorski was also personally involved in this; diplomatic action was also necessary here. As I have already said, words of recognition are also due to our Romanian and Moldovan friends, because thanks to their decisions, it was possible to compose this group of five for the exchange - he continued.

- The USA played a crucial role, and here the support of the Americans, our cooperation with American services, and the active engagement of the special envoy for Belarus, whom President Trump designated for this role, all enabled the finalization of this difficult process - the head of government emphasized.

16:34

Tusk:

I hear about the President and his people's commitment to reminding our American friends of this need. I am also very grateful for that.

- We have been, as I have already said, close to the final outcome a few times, and then the other side failed or deliberately withdrew at the last moment from this undertaking. This time, allied cooperation, the determination of our services and diplomats, and very solid support from Washington have led to this happy conclusion. I also hear about the President and his people's commitment to reminding our American friends of this need, for which I am also very grateful, and I hope that no one in our country will question the role of certain individuals. Everyone here has contributed with the best intentions to the release of Andrzej Poczobut - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press briefing.

16:37

Tusk on Poczobut:

He Apparently Has No Intention of Letting This Matter Go.

"He is a man, as you know, very determined, brave, so he apparently has no intention of letting this matter go, for which he has sacrificed so many years of freedom and, in fact, his entire life. But he can count on our comprehensive help" - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

18:09

Nawrocki at the Three Seas Summit:

With great pride, as the new President of Poland, I will support this initiative.

- This is a special event for me, as it is the first time I am participating in the Three Seas Initiative as the President of Poland – in the very place where it began. […] With great pride, as the new President of Poland, I will support this initiative, which has been active for over a decade - President Karol Nawrocki stated at a press conference in Dubrovnik.

As he pointed out: - Poland plays the role of both a founding state and a constant advocate of this initiative. I perceive this initiative as the foundation of Europe's competitiveness and a driver of transatlantic cooperation.

Nawrocki:

All Three Seas Countries Have Designated Poland as the Region's Representative at the G20 Summit

- Poland will participate in the work of the G20 group this year. The invitation extended to Poland by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, demonstrates on the one hand the very dynamic development of the Republic, but also the ability for [...] economic, and political transformation. This is a gesture towards all Polish entrepreneurs and employees who have achieved such good indicators for the Polish economy - said President Karol Nawrocki at a press conference in Dubrovnik.

- Therefore, I am very pleased that all member countries of the Three Seas Initiative, in their final declaration, have indicated this success of Poland as a success, and Poland as the representative of the entire Three Seas Initiative region at the G20 summit - he continued.

18:24

Nawrocki on the Institutionalization of the Three Seas Initiative:

This is the Moment.

- I think this is the moment when we should start discussing the creation of financing mechanisms for infrastructure around the Three Seas Development Bank. This is what we discussed, and I believe it lies ahead of us. This is the step that the Three Seas Initiative expects - said President Karol Nawrocki at a press conference in Dubrovnik.

- Part of the discussion also revolved around the institutionalization of the Three Seas Initiative, and these are further steps that will give the initiative opportunities in the coming years or decades. I believe that among the Three Seas Initiative countries, there is a general understanding of the direction we would like to take - he continued.

18:28

Nawrocki:

Poland is Ready to Become the Gateway of the North for American Gas to the Entire Region

- The potential for cooperation in our region also includes cooperation with the United States of North America. [...] The United States of America is a strategic partner not only for the Republic but also for the Three Seas Initiative initiative – said President Karol Nawrocki at a press conference in Dubrovnik.

As PKN stated: - Poland is ready to become the gateway of the North for American gas to the entire region. Similar interconnector connections are of course happening in Southern Europe. I am talking about the possibilities of the Baltic Sea, Polish terminals, Świnoujście, and investments in a floating terminal in the Baltic Sea.

- Poland is ready to become the gateway of the North for building responsibility and indeed energy independence. It is one of the greatest successes of the Three Seas Initiative states that we have managed to cut ourselves off from Russian gas – he indicated.

18:53

Nawrocki:

I Don't Understand the Disturbing Anti-American Narrative Being Spread in Poland and Europe

- I don't understand this type of narrative, which is being spread not only in Poland but also across Europe, and the disturbing anti-Americanism that seeks to undermine, on the one hand, the relations between Poland and Europe with the United States, and on the other hand, acts to the detriment of these relations - said President Karol Nawrocki at a press conference in Dubrovnik.

18:56

Nawrocki on Tusk’s Interview for the Financial Times:

Very Imprudent.

- That article [interview for the „Financial Times” - ed.] by Prime Minister Donald Tusk was very imprudent. I think neither I nor the participants of the Three Seas Initiative, who met today, have the slightest doubt that the United States is not only formally a strategic partner for both Poland and the Three Seas Initiative, but also the most important ally for Poland - said President Karol Nawrocki at a press conference in Dubrovnik.

19:33

Siemoniak on Poczobut's release:

We all had our throats tight with emotion.

- We all had our throats tight with emotion. First and foremost, waiting for the moment the exchange would begin, Andrzej Poczobut was named first, he was the first to arrive on the Polish side, and there was enormous fear whether everything would go as we planned, because as Prime Minister Tusk mentioned, we also dealt with a failed exchange a few months ago - stated Tomasz Siemoniak on "Fakty po faktach" on TVN24.

20:00

Kosiniak-Kamysz on Poczobut's Release:

Poland Does Not Abandon Its Friends.

- Certainly a wonderful day. One that shows that we fight to the very end for our friends, for our compatriots – because it's not just him [Andrzej Poczobut], but also our compatriots who were imprisoned by Lukashenka's regime, have arrived in Poland. Simply put, Poland does not abandon its friends. Poland does not abandon its citizens. It always fights for them – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in an interview with Marek Tejchman on Polsat News' “Gość Wydarzeń”.

20:10

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

This Year, No One Illegally Crossed the Polish-Belarusian Border. We Sealed It 100%

- We have sealed the Polish-Belarusian border 100%. I would like to inform you that this year, no one has illegally crossed the Polish-Belarusian border. This is an absolute, total change compared to what it was in 2021, 2022. It was really difficult; the pressure was sometimes 30,000 crossing attempts - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

- There are fewer attempts because we have sealed it so strongly that these attempts are ineffective. Also, the migratory pressure from Belarus has certainly been redirected north, to the Belarusian-Lithuanian or Latvian border. They saw that passage this way is no longer possible, it is simply so sealed - he indicated.

- Is this a change? I do not believe in a change in the Lukashenka regime - he added.

20:14

Kosiniak-Kamysz on the Behind-the-Scenes of Poczobut's Release:

Americans Played a Key Role.

- This operation [to free Andrzej Poczobut] lasted a very long time. Previously, there were also various actions and decisions on our part, made several months ago, that would lead to such a finale - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on "Gość Wydarzeń" Polsat News.

- I believe the Americans played a key role here. Of course, our intelligence services' actions, Moldova and Romania did a lot […], the Prime Minister has very good contacts with the President of Moldova and the leaders of Romania. It was also very important that we acted unitedly - he continued.

20:17

Kosiniak-Kamysz on Poczobut's release:

Without Siemoniak's role, cooperation with President Nawrocki and the USA would have been impossible.

- I am of course aware of the government's role, I am aware of the role of the special services. Minister Siemoniak played a huge role in this entire process, as the coordinator of the special services. I know that without this, without cooperation with President Nawrocki and, of course, with the United States, it would have been impossible. So, to each according to their merit - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

20:21

Szłapka on Poczobut's Release:

This is not the moment to puff out your chest for medals or to bicker about who has better relations with Americans.

"If it weren't for what the services did, we wouldn't be talking about this at all. If it weren't for cooperation with allies, we wouldn't be talking about this at all. Also, if it weren't for the engagement of the United States, none of this would have happened," said Adam Szłapka in an interview with Monika Olejnik on TVN24's "Kropka nad i" regarding the release of Andrzej Poczobut.

"This is not the moment to puff out your chest for medals, so to speak, or to bicker about who here has better relations with Americans. Poland has good relations with Americans; if anyone claims otherwise, they are not telling the truth," he continued.

20:26

Szłapka:

Poczobut's Release Demonstrates Our Model Relations with the USA

- Today, and the release of Andrzej Poczobut, shows that we have model relations with the United States, because as Poland, Poland as a country, including its government, we are able to conduct very serious operations with them that will end in success - said Adam Szłapka on TVN24.

20:28

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

We are aiming for 300,000 regular troops and 200,000 active reserve

- Today we are talking about 218,000, around 220,000 [soldiers]. And this number will grow successively. We are aiming for the figure of 300,000 regular troops and 200,000 active reserve - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń".

20:30

Kosiniak-Kamysz on SAFE:

Next Week We Should Be Ready to Sign the Agreement.

– In the coming days [money from SAFE will go to Poland]. I think that next week we should be ready to sign the agreement – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on “Gość Wydarzeń” Polsat News.

20:30

Szłapka on Funds from SAFE for Poland:

A Matter of Days, Not Weeks.

- Now all the legal provisions of the agreement are being finalized - Adam Szłapka said on TVN24, when asked when Poland would receive the money from SAFE.

- This is a matter of days rather than weeks, so whether it will be the end of April or the beginning of May, but rather around that time, than later - he continued, when pressed to give a rough timeframe.

20:34

Szłapka:

It's Time to Separate State Affairs from Party Matters. Kaczyński is Incapable of This.

- I am not surprised by Jarosław Kaczyński's words, who instead of being happy that Andrzej Poczobut has been released, is using this situation, meaning, surely it wasn't written by Kaczyński himself, but by one of his employees, is using this situation to attack the government - said Adam Szłapka on TVN24.

- This is a complete mix-up of priorities, meaning, it's time to separate state affairs from party affairs. Jarosław Kaczyński is incapable of this. For him, party matters are more important than state affairs. It's not a good sign that Karol Nawrocki's entourage or the President are adopting this way of thinking from Jarosław Kaczyński, because it is harmful to Poland - he continued.

20:36

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

If Your Own Minister is Dismissed at the Opposition's Request, the Coalition and Government End

- I don't see any threats [to the coalition in the context of the vote on Paulina Hennig-Kloska], firstly. Secondly, I believe that everyone in the coalition is aware that if your own minister is dismissed at the opposition's request, the coalition ends and the government ends - Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said on "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

20:39

Szłapka:

Ministry of Finance to Prepare Cryptocurrency Bill; It's Meant to Be a Government Act

- The government will prepare the [cryptocurrency] bill once again - Adam Szłapka said on TVN24.

- The Ministry of Finance, meaning it's meant to be a government act - he continued, when asked who would prepare it, whether Polska 2050.

- I haven't seen Poland 2050's project yet, but I am far from such attempts at maneuvering - he went on to say.

- The situation now is that there is some parliamentary bill, here the President, who wants to whitewash himself, claiming he didn't veto this bill twice, saying that he might sign such a bill, here Jarosław Kaczyński is suddenly saying now that he has nothing to do with this matter, he would ban all cryptocurrencies altogether, he will have another opportunity to vote - he added.

20:48

Szłapka on Tusk's expectations of Poland 2050 before the vote on Hennig-Kloska:

This is not an ultimatum, it's normal coalition practice.

- This is not an ultimatum, it is normal coalition practice - said Adam Szłapka on TVN24, when asked if the Prime Minister was maintaining his ultimatum that if the MPs of Poland 2050 vote in favor of the motion to dismiss Hennig-Kloska, they will be expelled from the coalition.

- Either we are a coalition and we move forward together [...] we vote against the opposition's motions, which are purely political, of course, or we are outside the coalition, and this is a decision that all MPs within the coalition will make - he continued.

20:54

Szłapka on the motion to dismiss Hennig-Kloska:

Leaders of all coalition parties have announced they will vote against it.

- From what I know, the leaders of all clubs or parties functioning within the coalition have announced that they will vote against [the motion to dismiss Hennig-Kloska] - Adam Szłapka said on TVN24.

- I know that such a conversation [Tusk - Pełczyńska-Nałęcz] took place, and Minister Pełczyńska-Nałęcz said that they will vote against the motion for dismissal - he continued.

- A club that would vote differently is leaving the coalition - he added.
