- It is astonishing that a country which itself was invaded by Russia, which during the Hungarian Revolution in 1956 had the slogan "Russians go away" and this under a prime minister who started as a liberal anti-communist, today we hear about machinations with Russia regarding sanctions or undermining European solidarity. This is astonishing, and therefore I am very surprised that there are politicians in Poland who support such practices and such politicians - said Radosław Sikorski at a press conference.

"The President is trying to divide the coalition by swearing in two Constitutional Tribunal judges (those whose candidacies were put forward by PSL and Polska2050), and not the other four. - It seems to me that Hungary is already beginning to violate further points of the Treaty on the European Union; some funds are already blocked for them because they are having problems with both the rule of law and the honest spending of European money. Besides, they are abusing the right of veto - said Radosław Sikorski at a press conference.

- And the latest revelations, in my opinion, undermine those points of the Lisbon Treaty which state that all member states are obliged to cooperate loyally and implement the agreed foreign policy of the European Union. - There is no room for speculation here anymore. Some of you thought I was exaggerating when I said that for some reason PiS, President Nawrocki, Chairman Kaczynski, for some reason, support Russia. You thought I was exaggerating, that it wasn't that bad, and today it's hard to have any doubts. If someone today desires the victory of the most pro-Russian government in Europe, then this is no longer the result of some stupidity or blindness, but a conscious, very dangerous game from the perspective of Poland's interests and the security of the whole of Europe. This truth must finally reach everyone – he continued.

- This is in a sense the best possible review of our actions; indeed, our fuel is as cheap as possible, which means it is clearly cheaper than, for example, in Germany, but it also means full concentration and vigilance from all state institutions responsible for energy security, so as not to make any mistakes here - he continued.

- Personally, I am in favor of the death penalty, but for perpetrators of crimes like those in Kotlina Kłodzka. I believe that if someone commits these kinds of acts, these crimes, they should pay with their life. "The current government has returned to a systematic approach to implementing development programs that is linked to what was previously called polarization-diffusion development. Today they don't define it that way, but in reality, it is indeed connected to it," said Mateusz Morawiecki during the presentation of the "One-Speed Poland" program.

"In the new principles of local government financing, the city where we are today has benefited the most. [...] I love Warsaw, I love all the big Polish cities. But the art of managing the economy and fair development lies in focusing on smaller cities, those that have lost their socio-developmental and socio-economic functions. For example, those that were once provincial capitals. [...] The entire philosophy of development on our side is precisely about restoring these socio-economic functions to medium-sized and smaller cities," he continued.

- The program we are proposing today is a program that has undergone social consultations. It is a program that is intended to be fair – 500 zloty will be allocated per inhabitant with a – as they say – floor and cap, meaning a minimum and a maximum – said Mateusz Morawiecki during the presentation of the report “One-Speed Poland”.

- The floor is a budget of at least five million zloty for each commune. And the cap is a mechanism that equalizes the current advantages of large cities over medium-sized cities, meaning a cap of 100 million zloty per year […] for a given local government unit – explained the former Prime Minister.

- Otherwise, Warsaw or the wealthiest voivodeship would receive billions without this equalization process, meaning without this floor, without this cap – he added.

- The fact is, we have some of the cheapest fuel in Europe. Thanks to coordinated actions, thanks to this massive project, Poles are among the nations paying the least for diesel and gasoline in Europe - said Miłosz Motyka during a press conference at an Orlen station in Warsaw.

- Regarding fuel tourism, we are analyzing it very carefully. We are also in contact with our European partners - he continued.

- If we see that this tourism is actually disrupting supply at our stations and we receive such information from Orlen or the Ministry of State Assets, or from other entities, then we do not rule out making a decision to restrict fuel sales to foreigners - either territorially or throughout the entire country - the Minister of Energy stated.

- However, these are subsequent steps. For today, we do not see such a risk of supply disruption - he assured.

- This is the biggest global fuel price crisis, the biggest crisis on the oil market in over 50 years. [...] Many countries have introduced states of emergency related to energy security, with restrictions on refueling limits - said Miłosz Motyka during a press conference at an Orlen station in Warsaw.

- Poland is energy-secure. We have guaranteed an adequate level in fuel and crude oil storage. Fuel supplies to Poland are secured. At this moment, there is no risk regarding supply chain disruptions, and we do not foresee any - he assured.

- However, we must be aware that the global crisis, the crisis in the Middle East, could escalate. Therefore, we, as the government, will analyze this situation - he noted.

- I would also like to thank Polish entrepreneurs who have adapted to this extraordinary situation. The maximum price mechanism is not against any industry or any entrepreneur – said Miłosz Motyka during a press conference at an Orlen station in Warsaw.

- It is there to control the situation, so that tax reductions from the Polish budget translate directly into price reductions for gasoline at stations, so that no intermediaries or speculators, worst of all, profit along the way. And such a situation did occur in the past, when tax reductions did not always translate into price reductions at stations – he continued.

- We have guaranteed this with a maximum price, calculated daily, and an announcement from the Minister of Energy on this matter will be published daily. These prices will probably change, because the situation is extraordinary and exceptional – he indicated.

- The literal wording of this statutory provision is clear – before the president or in the presence of the president, not through some letters or other legal combinations, because this is an attempt at such a crude and brazen circumvention of the law. [The President] cannot acknowledge it, because according to the Polish Constitution, state organs act within the limits and on the basis of the law. Why it's not here, and I'll show an example in the case of Krystian Markiewicz, is the Sejm's resolution; there's not a word about when the term begins, which judge it replaces, while the Constitutional Tribunal's ruling regarding Article 194 of the Constitution states – judges' terms must be individualized - stated Zbigniew Bogucki on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

- Today, the President will certainly ponder this issue. It is certainly a very important matter for the President, as he is the guardian of the Constitution. He is the sole body in Poland that is the guardian of the Constitution. I don't know [if there will be a decision today]; the President must properly weigh these constitutional values. On the one hand, there are very serious, conscious, and deliberate shortcomings by this majority, in order not to elect Constitutional Tribunal judges, and therefore not to have the tribunal control this authority - he continued.

- As we declared, so we have fulfilled our promise to alleviate and support Polish families during the greatest global fuel price crisis, which affects Poland, Europe, and the entire world. None of us, no entrepreneur, no Pole, no Polish family has influence over what is happening in the Middle East. But the Polish government will do everything to support Polish families in this critical moment - said Miłosz Motyka during a press conference at an Orlen station in Warsaw.

- From today, from midnight, the precise mechanism of a maximum price, a tax reduction, a VAT reduction, an excise duty reduction to the minimum level, [...] will be in effect. 1.20 PLN less per liter of diesel, 1.20 PLN less per liter of 98 octane gasoline compared to yesterday's prices - this is a fact, and this must be stated clearly. Contrary to lies, contrary to disinformation spread particularly in recent days, we have delivered what we promised Poles - he pointed out.

- "Lower fuel prices" is not a promise. It is a fact, a concrete measure that will help Poles in this difficult situation - he added.

- I can only wonder, so to speak, why it was so late and why this government slept for 3 weeks, why it only woke up this morning, after 3 weeks of high prices, prices that drained Poles' pockets. We all see how high these amounts were. Gasoline was supposed to be 5.19, as Donald Tusk promised, it was approaching twice that amount - stated Zbigniew Bogucki in Polsat News' "Graffiti".

- The President had great doubts [regarding the law on “manual control of fuel prices”]. However, given the current situation on the fuel markets and the fact that Poles were paying more and more for fuel – after all, diesel cost nearly PLN 9 – the President had to make a decision that would, at least to some extent, alleviate the burden on Poles – said Rafał Leśkiewicz in the “First Interview of the Day” on TV Republika.

- Prices of 6.16 for gasoline and 7.60 for diesel are high. […] This is not a good solution, but it was the only solution the President had to agree to, or agreed to, considering the prevailing situation – he pointed out.

- It is the government that, in each such case where the Polish Armed Forces are to be used outside the country's borders, must submit an appropriate request to the President, i.e., initiate the entire procedure. Then it goes through subsequent institutions, the National Security Bureau, the Chancellery, returns for the Prime Minister's counter-signature, and then the President's signature - the Head of the Presidential Chancellery continued.

- I have no knowledge in this regard that such a procedure has begun - he emphasized.

Bogucki referred to information from "Rzeczpospolita," according to which Washington suggests that one of the Polish Patriot system batteries be deployed to the Middle East. They also want missiles that are already in Poland.

- The attack on the [Constitutional] Tribunal has been ongoing for over two years now. Since the ruling coalition came to power. The ruling coalition carried out the attack on the Tribunal for the first time when they stopped paying salaries to the judges of the Constitutional Tribunal - said Rafał Leśkiewicz in the "First Conversation of the Day" on TV Republika.

- Today we are witnessing an attack on Hungary, led by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, an attack by Poland's rulers. This is also extremely dangerous for relations, by weakening Poland's ties with countries in our part of Europe, Central Europe. The current rulers are actively rebuilding this alliance, which is dangerous for Poland, the German-Russian alliance - said Mariusz Błaszczak on Radio Republika.

- Poland is governed by people who harm the interests of our homeland. Sikorski should resign from the government. The policy pursued by Tusk and Sikorski is detrimental to Polish interests - he continued.

- We will soon learn about this decision [the president's regarding the Constitutional Tribunal]. No, this is not an evasion. These actions concerning the CT will be soon... - said Rafał Leśkiewicz in the "First Interview of the Day" on TV Republika.

- First and foremost, we are dealing with significant doubts concerning the procedure for electing judges of the Constitutional Tribunal. Everyone will probably agree that judges of the most important tribunal are not elected in 48 hours. [...] If the Marshal of the Sejm announces a "competition" for CT judges on Monday at noon and sets a deadline of Wednesday, after which a very rapid vote takes place, and among the candidates indicated by the coalition's representatives, there is not a single constitutional lawyer - then this matter requires close examination - he continued.

- We will learn about Mr. President's actions soon. Soon. Soon means in a short while - stated the presidential spokesperson.

- This is undoubtedly a challenge for Polish diplomacy, for those responsible for foreign policy - said Mariusz Błaszczak on Radio Republika, when asked about the changes in NATO announced by the American administration (e.g., linking voting rights to defense spending) and whether creating divisions within the alliance is very dangerous for Poland.

- Is Radosław Sikorski active in this matter? He is the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Can Sikorski build Polish-American relations? He cannot, he cannot, because his wife is involved in the political dispute in the United States - he continued.

- Sikorski's wife, Anne Applebaum, attacks President Trump very strongly, even radically. This negatively affects Polish-American relations. Thanks to the very good relations at the presidential level between President Duda and President Trump, the situation is not yet as serious as it could be if someone else were president [...] for example, Rafał Trzaskowski - he further stated.

- When the Law and Justice party was in power, to protect the wallets of Polish families, we introduced a zero VAT rate on food. In '24, the VAT rate was raised, so now, precisely to ease the burden on Polish families, the VAT rate on food should be reduced to zero - said Mariusz Błaszczak on Radio Republika.

"This change should have been introduced much earlier, at least on Saturday, because on Friday the Senate adopted the bills [...] the President signed them, so why did the Tusk government delay the introduction of this change throughout the entire weekend," said Mariusz Błaszczak on Radio Republika, when asked about fuel price reductions.
