Prime Minister Donald Tusk continues his visit to Brussels, where the European Council summit is taking place. The Prime Minister's exact schedule for today is not currently known.
At 12:40 PM in Czechowice-Dziedzice, a press conference will be held by PiS Vice-Chairman Mateusz Morawiecki and PiS MP Grzegorz Puda.
At 6:00 PM in Bielsko-Biała, a meeting will take place between Mateusz Morawiecki, Beata Szydło, and Grzegorz Puda with residents.
At 7:00 PM, a live session will be held with Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on Facebook and X. The leader of PSL will present a plan regarding the President's proposal on army modernization.

"We are in a situation where we truly need all hands on deck, meaning not just the government, not just the National Health Fund, but also trade unions, doctors, nurses, and hospitals. We really must face the situation that our expenses are growing significantly faster than the revenues to this system, and we must try to balance it somehow," said Jakub Szulc on "Poranek TOK FM".
07:58
- I would like it to be the case that we don't avoid services, but only reduce the cost of these services. But I don't think that will happen. Because in addition to this change [800 million in savings] [...] there is another one, which involves us settling overperformances in areas that are unlimited, not quarterly as it is currently, but after the end of the financial year. Which will actually increase the waiting time for payment... - said Jakub Szulc in "Poranek TOK FM".
- But it will also primarily increase the waiting time for the service - commented Jacek Żakowski.
- What we are trying to secure, and what we are certainly ensuring and will continue to ensure, is that absolutely urgent services continue to be performed without limits, with 100% reimbursement - replied the NFZ Vice-President.
08:47
- Every politician has their time. Mateusz Morawiecki was a great prime minister, I am convinced he will hold the highest state offices in the future, this time the party has decided that at this moment the candidate should be Przemysław Czarnek - said Krzysztof Szczucki in an interview with Marcin Zaborski on the program "Gość Radia ZET".
- No, I would absolutely not frame it that way - he continued, when asked if Czarnek is better than Morawiecki as a candidate for prime minister.
08:50
Szynkowski vel Sęk on Decisions Regarding the ETS:
Intermediate Solutions, Not Solving the Core of the Problem.
- These are intermediate solutions, not solving the core of the problem. One could say it’s a slight braking of the accelerating, harmful ETS system, but we are not talking about halting these harmful tendencies, and even less about any step back that we would expect, which is greatly needed by the Polish economy, but also the European one - stated Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk on PR1.
08:53
Szczucki on Newly Elected Constitutional Tribunal Judges:
They Must Take the Oath in the President's Presence.
"I don't even want to imagine such scenarios," said Krzysztof Szczucki on Radio ZET, when asked if the President of the Constitutional Tribunal should slam the door on the newly elected judges if they take their oath without the president's presence.
"They must take the oath before the president. In the presence of the President of the Republic," he continued, when asked if the President of the Constitutional Tribunal should admit these judges.
"They cannot assume office," he went on to say, when pressed about a scenario where the newly elected Constitutional Tribunal judges do not take their oath in the president's presence.
09:01
Szczucki:
When PiS Returns to Power, They Will Ensure the ECHR No Longer Applies in Poland and Across the EU
- We haven't managed to do everything [...] we declare today [...] that when the Law and Justice party (PiS) returns to power, it will ensure that the ECHR will not apply in Poland. And I would add, it will ensure that the ECHR will not apply across the entire European Union - said Krzysztof Szczucki on Radio ZET, when asked why PiS had not led Poland out of the ECHR.
09:06
Szynkowski vel Sęk on calls for immediate swearing-in of Constitutional Tribunal judges:
This is blackmail, which the President has no intention of yielding to.
- I believe it is in the interest of the state and all political forces to seek solutions that will ensure the state's system is not only maintained within the bounds of the law, but also regains a certain credibility, because unfortunately, this credibility has been destroyed by those who did not respect the constitutional body that is the Constitutional Tribunal - stated Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk on PR1.
- First, for months they failed to elect judges, despite this obligation, and now they have elected judges and are demanding, despite regulatory doubts, the immediate swearing-in by the president. This is blackmail, which the President undoubtedly has no intention of yielding to - he continued.
09:09
Szczucki on What Happens If Poland Withdraws from ETS Participation:
Most Likely, the Consequence Will Be That We Won't Be Paid Funds.
- No, absolutely not, I want to put an end to that as well - said Krzysztof Szczucki on Radio ZET, when asked about the price of being in the EU for not participating in the ETS system.
- Most likely, the consequence will be that we won't be paid funds, but then we will already be a net contributor, paying more into the budget than we receive from it - he continued, when asked about the consequence of Poland withdrawing from ETS participation.
- We'll see, I don't have a crystal ball [...] there could be, we have to reckon with that - he added, when pressed on whether penalties would be imposed by the CJEU.
09:15
Szczucki on Braun's Party:
If We Don't Envisage Cooperation in Government, It's Also Difficult to Form a Senate Pact with Them.
- We do not envisage cooperation with Korona Polska, and as I understand it, if we do not envisage cooperation in government, it is also difficult to form a Senate pact with them - said Krzysztof Szczucki on Radio ZET.
09:23
Szczucki on the Constitutional Tribunal:
Questioning laws one has passed oneself is not a good idea.
- I did not sign this motion [to the Constitutional Tribunal] because I believe it is not the best solution. Questioning laws one has passed oneself is not something I consider a good idea - said Krzysztof Szczucki on Radio ZET, when asked about the fact that a few years ago PiS politicians prepared and voted on regulations based on which they "furnished" the Constitutional Tribunal, and now they themselves are challenging them before the Tribunal.

Tusk After EU Summit on ETS Changes:
A Real Breakthrough Was Achieved.
- We have just concluded a very demanding European Council meeting, one that required a lot of effort and diplomatic action, I wouldn't call it intrigues, as that would be too strong a word, but discreet cooperation, primarily between Poland and Italy. For many, many days, together with Prime Minister Meloni, we were preparing a course of action intended to persuade the most pro-climate states and the European Commission to adopt a flexible approach regarding the ETS - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.
- This conclusion is important to me, and it clearly states that, firstly, Poland will be among the group of states that will receive assistance made possible by utilizing the mechanism related to allowances. This means, firstly, that funds obtainable from the release of certain emission allowances will be converted into financial aid for those less affluent states for whom the ETS is a significant burden in terms of energy prices. This group of states has been defined precisely so that Poland is 100% included in it - he continued.
- I can say that a very strong group of states was formed, and we managed to persuade even the most pro-climate ones, such as some Scandinavian countries and Germany, not to question the need for a specific approach for certain states - he emphasized.
- As you know, our biggest problem was that everyone was to be subjected to the same climate regime. A real breakthrough has been achieved; it's a political revolution in the EU, in a sense, that institutions and all states have practically started speaking our language, meaning they are acknowledging the need for an individual approach to each state, taking into account their interests, difficulties, and circumstances - added the head of government.
10:10
Tusk:
We Shouldn't Seek New Engagements Amidst Reports of PiS and President Considering Polish Involvement in Middle East War
- I'm hearing reports that PiS or the President are indeed considering Poland taking part in the war in the Middle East in some way - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.
- I want to emphasize again, and I count on the full understanding of our full allies here, we also discussed this on the sidelines of the European Council [...] we Poles are carrying a significant burden, a serious responsibility, which is the protection of Poland's, Europe's, and NATO's eastern border, and we shouldn't be looking for new activities - he continued.
10:17
Tusk:
Europe Has a Growing Problem with Orbán
- We also discussed the situation on various fronts. The Ukrainian issue, European aid, the blockade by Prime Minister Orbán, we failed to convince Prime Minister Orbán and he continues, using certain procedural or formal tricks, to be determined to block aid for Ukraine - Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at a press conference.
- Officials in Brussels will be looking for other ways, but it's not easy, meaning, here indeed unanimity is needed to change the financial framework, and therefore Europe has a growing problem, a growing trouble with Orbán - he continued.
10:21
Tusk Asked About Government Reshuffle:
I Don't Have Such Plans at the Moment.
- I don't know where this rumor came from. I mean, I know that some media have started writing about my ambitious plans for another government reshuffle, but no, I don't have such plans at the moment - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.
10:23
Tusk Asked About Giertych:
Let Him Explain Himself.
- I [haven't spoken to Roman Giertych], I have serious matters on my mind, as you've noticed. I'm not concerned with Roman Giertych's legal practice; let him explain himself regarding his professional achievements or various circumstances. That doesn't interest me; I'm interested in Roman Giertych's involvement as a Member of Parliament - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.
10:24
- Sometimes parties forming the October 15 coalition have their own ideas or projects, I have to live with that, and the leaders of these parties warn me that sometimes an idea will appear which will certainly not be the idea of the government as a whole - Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at a press conference, when asked about the proposal regarding property tax, which The Left intends to submit.
- So I don't treat this as an act of disloyalty, after all, everyone has the right to articulate their ideas, their views, but it will certainly not be a government project - he continued.
10:26
Regarding the Presidential Project:
There are Words, Not Money." Tusk on Czarzasty's "Rational Decision
- In reality, Marshal Czarzasty made a rational decision, because so far we have not been able to extract information from anyone on that side about the source of funding for this project, as if authorized by Messrs. Nawrocki and Glapiński. There are words there, not money, and we are talking about nearly PLN 200 billion - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.
- So it is difficult to seriously consider a draft law that is intended to decide on renouncing European funds in favor of Mr. Glapiński's money, which does not exist. If credible information about the NBP's profit appears, I can repeat this 20 more times, then we already have laws that say what can be done in such a situation, so this money from NBP profits goes to the budget - he continued.
12:45
Czarnek on the ETS:
Tusk flexed his muscles and returned from Brussels with absolutely nothing.
- Donald Tusk landed from Brussels. He flexed his muscles, said there would be a breakthrough, that something must be done about this ETS. […] Mr. Halicki said: there will be a revision, a halt to ETS 2. And after all this flexing of muscles, it turned out as usual. He came back with absolutely nothing and with a total disgrace, a complete disgrace - said Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference in Lublin.
- He talks about some breakthrough, but Poles who need lower prices for energy, electricity, heating, and also lower prices for fuel, have no concrete outcome from this summit in Brussels - he stated.
12:52
Czarnek on ETS:
Conclusions from the PZPR CC Plenum Were More Concrete Than What's Happening at the European Council,
- Mr. Tusk said something about a breakthrough – so I will read to you what the breakthrough of this Brussels European Council consists of. On page 12 of the conclusions, we read: "The Council calls on the Commission to present a review of the ETS emissions trading system by July 2026 at the latest, while maintaining the fundamental role of the ETS." Is that a breakthrough? – said Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference in Lublin.
- Conclusions from the plenum of the Central Committee of the Polish United Workers' Party were more concrete than what is happening at the European Council – he assessed.
- The next point: "The European Council notes the importance of establishing targeted and proportionate European preference in strategic sectors and technologies and in this regard calls on co-legislators to agree by the end of 2026 on an Act on Accelerating Industrial Development." This is a scandal and one big embarrassment – he continued.
- European industry is declining [...] and they are merely calling for an Act on Industrial Development to be passed by the end of the year, while freezing the ETS as an excellent achievement – he stated.
12:57
Czarnek:
Tusk Tucked His Tail Upon Seeing Frau Kanzlerin von der Leyen and Came Back Empty-Handed for Poles
- This is one big disgrace. Tusk, who flexed his muscles before heading to the European Council, tucked his tail upon seeing Madam Frau Kanzlerin Ursula von der Leyen and came back with nothing for Poles. And Poles need an immediate reaction - said Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference in Lublin.
13:02
Czarnek:
As Soon As We Gain Power, We'll Go to Brussels and Say: 'We're Leaving the ETS'
- It's impossible to leave the ETS? President Karol Nawrocki clearly wrote: 'We are leaving the ETS, we must do it.' Our resolution, which is also pending in the Sejm, calls on Tusk to take immediate action to relieve Poles, so that entrepreneurs have cheap energy, so they can be competitive, and they say it's impossible - Przemysław Czarnek said at a press conference in Lublin.
- Tusk should tell von der Leyen: we are leaving the ETS, Mrs. von der Leyen, because this is madness. This is not even about saving ecology, not saving the environment, but it is madness. A simple tax that robs Poles. He had the mandate for this, he didn't do it. We will do it. As soon as we gain power, we will go and say: 'We are leaving the ETS' - he stated.
- It's a simple matter, because we want a normal Poland and a Poland for Poles, who will be able to look at their bills normally, which will not be bills of horror - he added.
13:09
Czarnek on NSA ruling:
You cannot register something that doesn't exist. This is lawlessness.
- You cannot register something that doesn't exist. Marriage is a union of a woman and a man, and only as such is it subject to the care and protection of the Republic of Poland. This is stipulated by Article 18 of the Constitution - stated Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference in Lublin.
- If the Supreme Administrative Court does not understand the provisions of the Constitution, that is its business. This is lawlessness, it is a violation of the rule of law, and also an assault on reason, because marriage is a union of a woman and a man. There is no such thing as same-sex marriage - he declared.
13:45
- The President of the Republic of Poland, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Karol Nawrocki, at the request of the Minister of National Defence, has agreed to the appointment to the first officer rank (second lieutenant) of 78 soldiers and officers of the SKW - informed the National Security Bureau.
- The President of the Republic of Poland will issue the appropriate decree after countersignature by the Prime Minister - added the statement.

- Housing is for people. Housing should not be treated as an investment model, because it does not foster the economic development of our country. That is why The Left is proposing a new solution: a tax on residential business - said Anna Maria Żukowska at a press conference.
- Those who own more than three apartments, who profit from them, do not live in three apartments at once. If someone says they bought an apartment for their children, there is no problem. An apartment can be registered to a child, including a minor child - she continued.
- We are proposing a solution that assumes that from the third apartment that a given person owns, a different tax will be levied than before. We are changing the philosophy of property taxation in Poland. We are abolishing the property tax, and introducing a tax on the value of property - she further stated.
- For owners of the first and second apartments, this tax will be neutral. [...] A draft bill has been prepared, which we are submitting today to the Speaker of the Sejm, Włodzimierz Czarzasty - she added.
- Every third and subsequent owned apartment or house will be taxed in such a way that for the first 5 years from the introduction of this tax, the taxation will amount to 0.5% of the property's value. [...] For the next 10 years, the tax will increase its value by another 0.1% annually [...] ultimately, after 10 years, this tax is to reach a value of 1.5% of the property's value - she emphasized.

Leśkiewicz:
The President Decides on the Use of Military Forces Outside Poland Upon a Request from the Government or Prime Minister. Such a Request Has Not Been Received.
"The President of the Republic of Poland, as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, decides on the use of the Polish military outside the borders of the Republic of Poland upon a request from the Council of Ministers or the Prime Minister. And such a request, neither from the Prime Minister nor from the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of National Defence, has been received", Rafał Leśkiewicz wrote on X.

Kosiniak-Kamysz:
Our Soldiers Were Fully Evacuated from Iraq
"Our soldiers were fully evacuated from Iraq," wrote Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on social media.
"In connection with the deteriorating security situation in the Middle East region, after analyzing the operational conditions and potential threats, a decision was made to relocate the Polish Military Contingent from Iraq. The entire process was carried out in consultation with our NATO allies," emphasized the Minister of National Defence.
"The majority of the personnel are already in Poland or on their way to the country, while some are staying in Jordan. This allows for maintaining the continuity of the PMC's operations in the region," added the Deputy Prime Minister.

Szydło in Bielsko-Biała:
People might be living better, but it's not thanks to this government, but thanks to PiS rule.
- People might be living better, but it's not thanks to this government, which is ruling now, but thanks to PiS rule. The world has changed, the challenges have changed, the international, geopolitical ones, we are certainly in a different place, but it reminds me of that moment, that time, primarily in terms of people starting to lose hope, those fears reappearing which were present back in 2014 and early 2015, when we set out on our tour, when we saw firsthand how much anxiety, such hopelessness, and lack of hope there was that we would live better lives - stated Beata Szydło during a meeting with residents of Bielsko-Biała.
18:29
Szydło:
Today We Need Unity to Stand Shoulder to Shoulder and Move Forward Together
- We will not stop and today we need unity, to stand shoulder to shoulder and move forward together. We started this journey a few weeks ago, in the Sokół hall in Krakow. We were all there, Mateusz Morawiecki was there, I was there, and above all, President Kaczyński was there, and you were also there, and many people from all over Poland - stated Beata Szydło during a meeting with residents of Bielsko-Biała.
18:39
Szydło:
Now is the Time for Unity
- Now is the time for unity. Now, we truly need to leverage all that we have best, to commit all our strength to achieve victory. Each of us, each of you is needed. We are going together, and we will succeed, just as we did back in 2015. We will succeed now too - stated Beata Szydło during a meeting with the residents of Bielsko-Biała.
18:43
Szydło:
We Need a "New 500+"
- This program, first 500 and then 800+, had another, perhaps even the greatest, significance – it was, and remains to this day, a symbol of our government. We said then "we will do it" and we did it – stated Beata Szydło during a meeting with residents of Bielsko-Biała.
- Today, we are facing precisely such a challenge. Today, we must again give people faith and hope in victory. We need our new 500+, in a symbolic sense, this hope that will inspire Poles – she continued.
18:44
Morawiecki mocks Tusk's promise:
Gasoline is 5.19, but half a liter.
- I don't know if it [gasoline] was 5.19, although recently someone pointed out to me that it is 5.19, but for half a liter of gasoline. A fulfilled promise - stated Mateusz Morawiecki during a meeting with residents of Bielsko-Biała.
18:47
Morawiecki in Bielsko-Biała:
We're Dealing Not with the Civic Coalition, but the Coalition of Failure.
- We are dealing, my dear friends, not with the Civic Coalition, we are dealing with the Coalition of Failure. It's a grand coalition of failure, failure in healthcare. The current Minister of Health herself said that there will be a deficit of 23 billion PLN this year. Do you know what that means? That if last year money ran out for planned surgeries and procedures in October and November, this year experts have calculated that money will run out from September - stated Mateusz Morawiecki during a meeting with residents of Bielsko-Biała.
18:54
Morawiecki:
Tusk is doing everything to push the US out. He's acting on behalf of hostile forces in Western Europe
- We know we live in difficult times. We must primarily rely on our Polish army. But we don't want to allow this government to push the United States out of Europe and out of Poland - stated Mateusz Morawiecki during a meeting with residents of Bielsko-Biała.
He continued: - I'm not saying we should base our security solely on the United States, absolutely not. Let's rely primarily on ourselves. But it also cannot be the case that the current Prime Minister is simply doing everything to push the United States out. He is acting on behalf of hostile forces in Western Europe, because there are leaders there who also strive for this.
- This is a foreign policy failure. For 35 years, our axiom has been to stick together with the West, not to let the United States be pushed out, to fight together against the evil that threatens us from the East - he went on to say.
19:06
Morawiecki:
Nawrocki Won Not Just Against Trzaskowski. He Won Against Tusk, von der Leyen, Macron, TVN, Onet, and Wyborcza
- A year ago, who truly thought and believed with full conviction that Karol Nawrocki would win the presidential election? Yet, it succeeded. Beautifully, we all here believed. But look, Karol Nawrocki won not only against Rafał Trzaskowski. He won against Trzaskowski, against Tusk, against von der Leyen, against Scholz, then Merz also appeared, against Macron, against TVN, Onet, and Gazeta Wyborcza - stated Mateusz Morawiecki during a meeting with residents of Bielsko-Biała.
19:12
Morawiecki:
Ban Smartphones in Schools. We Won't Let Our Children and Youth Be Stultified
- Ban smartphones in schools for children and youth. We will not allow our children, our youth to be stultified. This is a weapon for them, but let us defend our children from antisocial media, from this madness that flows into their heads, into their hearts - stated Mateusz Morawiecki during a meeting with residents of Bielsko-Biała.
- They need to be defended from this 'smartphone-osis'. This is also part of our offer. We are pressuring this government: do it as quickly as possible. But if you don't do it, we will sort it out. We promise this to Poles - he declared.
19:18
Kosiniak-Kamysz:
Brussels Writes Programs to Warsaw's Dictation, Not the Other Way Around
- In Europe, Brussels writes regulations and programs to the dictation of Warsaw, not the other way around. The Polish Army writes the conclusions about what equipment we buy, and we only provide the financing for it, the lowest interest loan support available on the market today - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during a live broadcast on Facebook.
19:22
Kosiniak-Kamysz:
We Will Implement SAFE Anyway. I Won't Let This Go
- We will implement SAFE anyway. I want to tell you very clearly and explicitly, also all soldiers of the Polish Army, all my compatriots. I will not let this matter go - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during a live broadcast on Facebook.
- We will bring this program to completion. They will throw obstacles in our way, they will hinder [...] they will do everything, they will scare, they will threaten, you will not scare me, you will not frighten me - he continued.
19:25
"There is the president's bill, Marshal Czarzasty has doubts about this bill, so he is seeking opinions related to the constitutionality of this project [...] we want to help and perhaps solve this problem," said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during a live broadcast on Facebook.
"The Polish People's Party (PSL) club has prepared a bill modeled on President Nawrocki's proposal submitted a few days ago, but corrected for errors related to the unconstitutionality of the president's submission," he continued.
"Also expanding the scope of action, so that it's not just the army, but also very precisely pointing to the Police, Border Guard, all state services responsible for security," he went on to say.
"On the one hand, we are taking money from the National Bank of Poland and giving it to security; this bill guarantees it, and on the other hand, I think it also dispels Marshal Czarzasty's doubts, because surely the Marshal will trust his coalition partners in this regard and will gladly assign a number to this project, which I now cordially ask him to do," he added.
"Next week is the time to submit this project, and I hope we can immediately proceed with work on this proposal," he emphasized.
19:48
Kosiniak-Kamysz on Term Limits in Local Government:
An Evidently Unconstitutional Principle.
- The two-term limit, an unconstitutional principle, evidently so, because if [...] those who enacted the Constitution [...] if the legislator who designed the Constitution wanted to enshrine term limits in local government, they would have written it in as it is for the President of the Republic, but it wasn't written in – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during a live broadcast on Facebook.
- If this act [abolishing the two-term limit] doesn't pass, I want to reiterate this declaration: as the first, as a Member of Parliament, along with my club, we will submit a bill to amend the Constitution to introduce a term limit in parliament to two, just as it is in local government, two terms and that's it, thank you very much. If it's going to be like this, let's start with ourselves – he continued.
19:59
- It seems to me that Senator Włosowicz mentioned the most important reason, who told the truth. Because it could be a success for this government - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during a live broadcast on Facebook, answering a viewer's question about why PiS is so against SAFE.
- They didn't want the government to succeed, but they harmed soldiers, police officers, border guards, the army, not us - he continued.
20:07
Kosiniak-Kamysz on a PiS-KKP Coalition:
When PiS Lacks Braun's Votes, They'll Have Them.
- Just as [PiS] said they wouldn't form a coalition with Lepper, they will form a coalition with Braun, it's exactly the same - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during a live Facebook broadcast.
- I don't know if you remember who was supposed to be the Minister of National Defence in the first PiS government in 2015. It was supposed to be Jarosław Gowin. He was announced as the candidate. From Jarosław Gowin, Antoni Macierewicz immediately became the Minister of National Defence - he continued.
- It was a great deception that a decent person was put forward as the candidate for Minister of National Defence, and Antoni Macierewicz was appointed instead. This best illustrates that we can expect anything, and today we may hear that there will be no coalition with Braun, but when PiS lacks Braun's votes, there will be a coalition - he went on to say.
20:12
- One thing is serious in this argument - President Nawrocki dislikes the EU, and voices are increasingly heard, which I take seriously, that SAFE is so inconvenient from the perspective of President Nawrocki and PiS because it's a loan for many years and could be one of the anchors keeping Poland in the EU. Perhaps this was also the reason for the aggressive reaction to SAFE - stated Donald Tusk on TVN24.
20:17
Kosiniak-Kamysz on a Potential Future Role as Health Minister:
My Big Dream, Maybe Someday It Will Come True.
- I decided that in this coalition, security would be the most important thing, and the party leader must be responsible for matters of the army, for security issues, in order to win the biggest battles. Because they take place on the front with the Minister of Finance, on the coalition line - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during a live broadcast on Facebook, answering a netizen's question about why he is not the Minister of Health, given that he is a doctor.
- The Ministry of Health, my big dream, perhaps this possibility will also come true someday, I would like that, but the current times require responsibility for the most crucial matter - he continued.
20:18
Tusk:
If we hand over power in 2027 to those who want to leave the EU, they will achieve it and exit the EU
- If in 2027, openly and subtly anti-European forces win the elections, no law will help in any way. If we hand over power in 2027 to those who want to leave the EU, they will achieve it and exit the EU - stated Donald Tusk on TVN24.
20:39
- I am not ruling out this idea. I was very reserved, but we will return to this topic [referendum on EU membership] and consider what kind of safeguard, if not a guarantee, that we will not remain in the EU against the will of the people. I would like us all to understand that in Great Britain, at some point, a majority of people decided they wanted to leave. So first and foremost, it seems to me that those of us who want to be in the EU should do everything we can to ensure this sentiment in Poland doesn't change. That is crucial - stated Donald Tusk on TVN24.
20:41
Tusk on Fuel Prices:
We Must Keep Our Relatively Modest Tools of Action for the Darkest Hour, Because It Could Arrive Any Moment.
- These relatively modest tools of action, meaning what can be done on margin, excise duty, and VAT, we must preserve for that darkest hour, because unfortunately, it could arrive any moment – stated Donald Tusk on TVN24.
20:47
Tusk:
We Essentially Have Something Akin to World War III
- Listen, we essentially have something akin to World War III, and Poland remains where it is. And right beyond our border, there is a serious war. The fact that this doesn't negatively impact the condition of the zloty and the assessment of the Polish economy is a source of optimism - stated Donald Tusk on TVN24.

Tusk Appeals for 'Next of Kin' Status Legislation:
Help Me Pass This Law.
- There is a ruling from the Supreme Administrative Court which, of course, concerns a specific case, but could also set a precedent in other similar situations. Once again, I will appeal to everyone, including the President – there is this draft law on the status of the next of kin. It is not fully satisfactory for the interested communities, but it provided a virtual certainty that a parliamentary majority could be obtained, and I had hoped that perhaps the President would also be persuaded by it, and then there would be no conflict between Polish regulations and what results from regulations in other European countries, for example - stated Donald Tusk on TVN24.
- I will ask, and I will use this moment and appeal to everyone on whom it depends – if we do not want to have chaos, a civil war on this topic, if we want to approach all people concerned with this matter respectfully, then help me pass this law, so that Poland is civilized, so that people feel safe, and so that there is no feeling that this is some great revolution - he continued.
