- Poland for sure, but we count on all of Europe never again becoming dependent on Russian oil or gas. This is a matter of our true sovereignty. - Together with a group of countries, I sent a letter to the European Commission. - I am also greatly satisfied that my government managed to unblock billions of zlotys from various European funds, thanks to which these billions of zlotys are currently working on investments directly related to energy. Only for the modernization of the transmission system, we have so far received 6 billion in direct subsidies and 32 billion in low-interest loans from the KPO alone - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during the PowerConnect 2026 Energy Fair.

- I am waiting. I will not give a deadline, because I believe it would be impolite, and I am trying to maintain a relationship between the role of the Sejm Marshal and the role of the President, I am trying to build stable, predictable, and non-arrogant contacts. But of course, we will make decisions if this decision is delayed by the President – Włodzimierz Czarzasty said at a press conference in the Sejm, referring to the matter of newly elected Constitutional Tribunal judges.

- We will inform you about this when the time comes – he continued, when asked what these decisions might be.

- I am talking about a specific and very round figure of one trillion zloty, which Poland will invest in the energy sector over the next decade, in infrastructure, transmission lines, and power plants. One trillion zloty, including over 220 billion zloty for renewable sources and energy storage. 234 billion zloty for distribution, and 160 billion zloty for nuclear energy, as already mentioned. - To be clear, there is no procedural flaw regarding the appointments of judges, absolutely none. - There is absolutely no [flaw], we have reviewed everything point by point, piece by piece, all these remarks from the Head of the President's Chancellery, Mr. Bogucki, are simply untrue - he continued.

- This untruth serves to delay the procedure and delay the taking of the oath. This is not good for Poland - he continued.

- Today we are pleased that the dream of nuclear energy is being realised here, in Poland, in this very location. Also in the vicinity of Żarnowiec, the second largest energy storage facility in Europe, a battery one, is being built. It is here that we can see the sites where some of the largest offshore wind farms in Europe are being constructed. It is here that we will invest billions of zlotys in modern transmission networks for obvious reasons, here we are expanding Naftoport, here the Gdańsk refinery has its seat - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during the PowerConnect 2026 Energy Fair.

- In a few dozen hours or a few days, we will be opening, among other things, a modern battery factory - he continued.

- We cannot forget for a moment that only a state with adequate energy resources, a state that has diversified, dispersed energy, with autonomous energy sources, will be able to meet the challenges, including those as dramatic as the 21st century has prepared for us - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during the PowerConnect 2026 Energy Fair.

- The challenges we are witnessing, looking at what is happening beyond our borders or in recent days in the Middle East, and that is why we are working so intensively on simultaneously increasing Poland's energy production capabilities, including, above all, the most modern technologies, RES, and nuclear energy. We are working on and finalizing our work on small and medium-sized reactors - he noted.

- We are doing all this with full awareness that this is the main, fundamental path to our country's security - he continued.

"Mr. President, don't play games with Poland. You are, you say, a courageous man. Don't hide behind Mr. Święczkowski [...]. Make a decision, don't be afraid, behave as you should." Włodzimierz Czarzasty said at a press conference in the Sejm.

"I am sending you a letter today," he continued.

The Marshal of the Sejm quoted the content of the letter:

"Dear Mr. President, on March 13, '26, the Sejm of the Republic of Poland [...] elected 6 judges to the Constitutional Tribunal for a 9-year term [...]. The resolutions of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland on the election to the office of judges of the Constitutional Tribunal have been delivered to you. Bearing the above in mind, I am appealing to the President to take immediate action to enable the individuals elected by the Sejm of the Republic of Poland to commence their mandate as judges of the Constitutional Tribunal [...]."

"Mr. President, I wish you courage. Make a decision. Behave as you should. I am waiting for your decision," the Marshal of the Sejm added.

When asked by journalists when the president should respond, react, Czarzasty replied "immediately, without delay.".

- I want European money, I want money from the National Bank of Poland. Why did the profits of the National Bank of Poland not flow in a year, two, and three years ago, when a write-off from those profits can be made today? - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in the program “First Conversation of the Day” on TV Republika.

- I don’t understand why there was no money yesterday, and today it appears, and it coincidentally appears at a moment when the President needs a pretext not to sign the SAFE act - he stated.

- I am very interested in this money. I said it from the parliamentary podium - I guarantee that all funds from the NBP will go towards the security of the Polish state - he indicated.

- At least it has reached public opinion that this is a joint debt and that it is a transfer of competencies to the European Commission regarding borrowing on capital markets - Anna Bryłka said in the 'Morning Ring' of Super Express.

- It also entails a certain transfer of competencies to the European Commission concerning defense matters, matters related to armament, because the SAFE regulation contains specific conditions, specific eligibility criteria, specific product categories - she continued.

- Ultimately, it is the European Commission that prepares this proposal for a Council decision [...] de facto, the Commission decides on the shape in which these funds will be spent, and the Commission decides whether they will ultimately be disbursed or not - she went on to say.

- Less emotion in this debate, more discussion about what is actually in this regulation and the fundamental question that the Polish government should answer: will this entire SAFE mechanism actually strengthen Polish security. I have very, very, very many doubts on this point - she added.

- As the Deputy Prime Minister of this government, shouldn't you, perhaps right now on air, say: I apologize to Mr. President for the words spoken by ministers, by members of this government, concerning treason? - asked Andrzej Gajcy in the TV Republika program "Pierwsza rozmowa dnia" (The First Conversation of the Day).

- I expect an apology from Mr. President for vetoing this act and making a mistake. We expect an apology in return - replied Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

- So, there will be no apologies for a traitor and for treason? - the host pressed.

- Mr. President is hindering the process of transformation and modernization. That is my opinion, Mr. President may have his own opinion. He had the right to veto this act. I have repeatedly presented arguments to Mr. President why it is not worth doing so, that this is the most beneficial support available today and the quickest to access - the Deputy Prime Minister continued.

Earlier in the conversation, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz indicated that he himself had not used words like "traitor" and is not responsible for the words of his government colleagues, although he understands their emotions.

- In my opinion, there is one simple solution here: simply do not implement this directive, and that's what the Czechs intend to do - said Anna Bryłka on Super Express's "Morning Ring," when asked if anything could be done to stop ETS2.

- Of course, mainly financial, you have to reckon with financial penalties - she continued, when asked about the consequences.

- Of course, we can, we simply do not implement the directive and that's it, and it can be done, and it seems to me that there is no other option on the table - she said further, when pressed if we could act similarly to the Czechs.

- Even if Poland is exposed to these financial penalties, they will still be much, much smaller than the costs that Poles and Polish households would have to bear to simply pay this tax, yet another climate tax - she added.

- Certainly, Poland never, at least during Prime Minister Tusk's tenure, dismantled ETS1, because in ETS1, nothing really changed for many years [...] one thing changed in ETS2 - stated Anna Bryłka in the "Morning Ring" of Super Express.

- Every agreement has a conditionality mechanism. Of course it does. Every agreement has specific conditions that must be met. So, there is a conditionality mechanism - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on the program “Pierwsza rozmowa dnia” (First Conversation of the Day) on TV Republika.

- There is the American SAFE, for example, which I am very satisfied with and I believe that both my predecessor and I have used it - it never went through the Sejm, in any case - it is a very good solution. And there are conditions that must be met. The first condition is to be an ally of the United States. The second condition - you have to buy equipment in the States… - he continued.

- There is no [in SAFE] conditionality understood as KPO conditionality, because that is how it was presented. […] There is a conditionality mechanism for the reliability of fund expenditure. It concerns the reliability of the funds spent. Exactly as in the case of agricultural subsidies, as in the case of cohesion policy - he pointed out.

- For now, it's not on the table. However, I believe that a reform of the European Union is, in my opinion, impossible. Many phenomena have occurred that are irreversible, making it seem completely unfeasible - said Anna Bryłka in the "Morning Ring" on Super Express, when asked if Polexit is indeed on the table.

- What can actually change the functioning of economic cooperation within the European Union are decisions made by the governments of member states - she continued.

- If a situation arose where a majority actually emerged in European countries and at the European Council, where a group of states would gather and say that we no longer wish to cooperate in this formula in Europe, that we only want economic cooperation, then such a situation could occur - she went on to say.

- I'd give it 50/50 today. Because he might want to show after the veto that he is a civic candidate. However, I wouldn't give up on the political part before we get to the real and actual part. And I don't know, Marshal Czarzasty could make such a gesture and appeal to the president, because after all, as Marshal of the Sejm, he was the host of the entire process of selecting the judges, because let's be honest, it's a completely different process and it concerns different judges than those in common courts - stated Piotr Zgorzelski in the "Piasecki's Interview" on TVN24.

- The fact that increasing criticism and more and more criticism of the European Union is appearing not only in Poland but also in many EU member states is actually due to politicians like Deputy Prime Minister Sikorski, Prime Minister Donald Tusk, or Ursula von der Leyen herself; it's one political family – said Anna Bryłka in the "Morning Ring" of Super Express.

- It is their policy that has led to more and more Europeans having such a critical attitude towards the European Union – she continued.

- The modernization of the army, the re-arming of the Polish Armed Forces, the Border Guard, and the Police is one of the most important, if not the most important thing today, which is security. Standing in the way of this - and this veto [to SAFE] is simply bad and dangerous - it doesn't make this process impossible, but it makes it very difficult - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in the program "Pierwsza rozmowa dnia" on TV Republika.

- I completely don't understand why the president didn't want to lead such a mobilization for the modernization of the Polish army - he stated.

- Unfortunately, there is great disappointment regarding what the President has been saying externally, that he is a citizen's president, just as he was a candidate for the people. It turns out he is solely an executor of PiS's political will, because PiS wanted it that way, and Nawrocki vetoed it - stated Piotr Zgorzelski in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

- PiS is primarily concerned that this will not translate into electoral success, political success, and that is what this is about: they even sacrificed security for the potential victory of a coalition of democratic parties based on this SAFE program - he continued.

From 9:00 AM, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz will be at the headquarters of the 18th Reconnaissance Battalion in Biała Podlaska, where he will meet with the command staff and soldiers. An address by the head of the Ministry of National Defence is planned.

At 9:15 AM, a press conference will take place in Oświęcim, attended by, among others, the Minister of Sport Jakub Rutnicki and the Deputy Marshal of the Sejm Dorota Niedziela. The topic will be the decision regarding funding for the reconstruction and expansion of the ice arena.

At 10:00 AM, the PowerConnect Energy Summit will begin in Gdańsk, with Prime Minister Donald Tusk in attendance. An address by the head of government is scheduled. Other representatives of the Council of Ministers will also participate in the event.

At 10:00 AM, a press conference will be held in front of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (KPRM) with the Deputy Chairman of PiS, Mateusz Morawiecki, and PiS club MPs Robert Gontarz and Olga Semeniuk-Patkowska.
