At 12:00 PM, Prime Minister Donald Tusk will meet with the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Rob Jetten. A delegation meeting is scheduled for 12:20 PM, followed by a press conference of the prime ministers at 12:55 PM.

- It's not a pretty picture when we look at the fuel price boards. The crisis in the Middle East has caused prices for petrol and diesel at Polish filling stations to sometimes reach 8 PLN, and as you've shown on various stations, they exceed 8 PLN. Why do I say Tusk is fleecing Poles? - stated Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference.

- Do you remember the crisis from the time when PiS governed and Daniel Obajtek was the CEO of Orlen? Back then, crude oil prices, a barrel of oil on world markets, reached $120, and the dollar in Poland was at 4.30 PLN. Today, a barrel on world markets costs over $90, $30 less than then, and the dollar is also cheaper, not reaching 4 PLN. Yet, the prices are exactly the same as when Daniel Obajtek was CEO of Orlen, when PiS governed - he continued.

- Today, the state is not intervening, even though these fuel prices we see here, in Warsaw, and those that reach or exceed 8 PLN at many stations in Poland, are a drama for Polish farmers and hauliers, who are already being fleeced - he added.

- We want to help the Tusk government, which is fleecing citizens. I am submitting a draft bill, signed by PiS MPs, and I encourage other MPs to sign it if they wish, which will temporarily lower the VAT from 23% to 8% and reduce excise duty on fuel by approximately 9-10%. The aim is for Poles to feel today that the state is supporting them during the crisis. The state cannot fleece its citizens - emphasized the PiS candidate for Prime Minister.

- PiS is fighting for a victory in the elections on par with 2015 and 2019. We are starting the pre-election campaign and will later move into the election campaign; we want to convince Poles to support PiS - stated Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference.

- This party is also falling apart because MPs, and especially KO voters at the grassroots, see that they have been deceived. This was also evident among those KO voters who found themselves in a danger zone in the Middle East and who were waiting for state assistance. One of the Poles there shouted: My Prime Minister, if you don't know how to do it, ask Morawiecki, the PiS government - stated Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference.

- No, I can't imagine [Grzegorz Braun in government], because I can't imagine people in government who today defend a dictator who is no longer a dictator because he is dead, thanks to military intervention, who killed his citizens on an unprecedented scale in recent weeks, and someone who is in the Polish government and offers condolences to whom? Iran? Which got rid of a dictator who killed its citizens - stated Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference.

- Yes. I spoke about this clearly, many times, and I also based it on my experience. I don't know what interesting things our colleagues from PSL have discovered. My experience is as follows: photovoltaic systems, which are already less invasive than wind turbines - because at least they are not visible and you can use the electricity produced on that roof for the needs of the electricity consumers that are running in the house - are still completely unprofitable - Przemysław Czarnek replied.

- I installed this photovoltaic system about 5 years ago, when there was a subsidy program in our municipality. I paid 8100 PLN for it, […] paying about 2-2500 PLN annually for electricity at that time. After installing this photovoltaic system for 8100 PLN, I still paid about 1000-1200 PLN annually for electricity, with this system. So, I was saving 1000 PLN annually. So how long do I have to wait for it to pay for itself, for the investment to be returned? - he stated.

- We have been analyzing the situation on the oil market since the very first days of the conflict, the war with Iran. We see that volatility is immense. Oil prices have risen sharply in recent days. I spoke with the Minister of Energy, Mr. Motyka, and the CEO of Orlen, Mr. Fąfara, about the fuel market situation today. And all solutions are, of course, being analyzed by us, and we will take appropriate action, as always, when the need arises, - stated Andrzej Domański in "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

- Our government never shirks from taking actions that can help Poles in difficult situations. We see that prices at petrol stations are rising, but on the other hand, let us also remember that this situation has lasted a week. If it were to translate into such a long-term situation on the fuel market, then, of course, adequate decisions would have to be made, - he continued.

- Of course, we cannot rule out solutions that will lead to lower prices at petrol stations. However, the range of solutions here is wide, - he added.

- I just want to remind you that PiS cynically exploited fuel prices just before the elections. We remember those distributor failures. Back then, there was no war with Iran, we didn't have such disruptions in the oil market, and yet, fuel simply ran out in very many places in Poland - stated Andrzej Domański in "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

- Przemysław Czarnek is the true face of PiS, that is, anti-European, fitting into a scenario of Poland actually leaving the European Union. I am absolutely convinced of this. - Today, he rules that out. But we know that among PiS politicians, he was the one who was still favorable to this solution not so long ago - he continued.

- This is an experience that shows that RES (Renewable Energy Sources) solely contribute to high energy prices in Poland. [...] When this photovoltaic (solar) power doesn't produce electricity at all, because it doesn't in winter, all our power plants still have to be on full standby, and we all pay for them anyway. This makes no sense. This is 'oze-sroze' (a dismissive term for renewables) - said Przemysław Czarnek on "Gość Radia ZET" (Guest of Radio ZET).

- I am convinced that something like SAFE 0 simply doesn't exist. These are some vague promises, so far, which in my opinion are just a plain pretext for the president not to sign the SAFE act, that is, the act concerning real money, which can accelerate the modernization of the Polish army not in a year, not in the future, but today - stated Andrzej Domański in "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

- We live in very unstable times. War on our eastern border, another conflict in the Middle East. There is no time to lose here. Decisions must be made immediately. And these funds are available. 44 billion euros for the modernization of the Polish army - he continued.

- Of course [we are leaving the ETS]. We even have a draft law that is moving in this direction and which we will be proposing. But please wait until March 14, until the "Alternative 2.0 for Energy" convention. The convention will be on Saturday - said Przemysław Czarnek on "Gość Radia ZET".

- In general [leaving] the ETS and ETS2. We do not have the possibility to maintain this in Poland and burden Polish companies with it. Simply put, it will not happen. [...] We will not pay penalties - he stated.

- Donald Tusk is responsible for the fact that fuel at Orlen stations is so expensive, because Orlen is the Polish state - said Przemysław Czarnek in "Gość Radia ZET".

- I propose a draft bill, which I and my friends, PiS MPs, are submitting. A temporary reduction of VAT from 23% to 8% until June 30th, starting from March 15th, and a reduction of excise duty, which amounts to roughly 9-10% because it is a fixed rate. In this way, we can do what we did in 2022, intervening for the benefit of Poles - he continued.

- Krzysztof Bosak is lying. Krzysztof Bosak is adopting the rhetoric of Civic Platform, and that is not a good direction for the right wing. There must be calm on the right wing. On the right wing, there must be a visible single enemy, who today is destroying the state: namely Tusk. There is no enrichment of anyone – said Przemysław Czarnek in „Gość Radia ZET” when asked about Krzysztof Bosak’s words from Sunday:

„Przemysław Czarnek is responsible for the ‘Willa+’ program, which is the enrichment of the PiS nomenklatura at the expense of public property. […] They wrote a law for themselves and appropriated buildings.”

- Will Krzysztof Bosak oppose the purchase of a 500,000 PLN car for disabled children in Warta? Will Krzysztof Bosak oppose the purchase of a 700,000 PLN bus that transports children daily in the Ostrów Lubelski commune? - Let Krzysztof Bosak start thinking about what he says, because I do not want a war on the right. There is one enemy - Tusk, who is suffocating Poland - he emphasized.

"Will we abolish the deposit system - yes or no?" Bogdan Rymanowski asked on "Gość Radia ZET" (Guest of Radio ZET).

"Yes" - replied Przemysław Czarnek.

- Should we resume compulsory military service - yes or no? - Bogdan Rymanowski asked on "Gość Radia ZET" [Guest of Radio ZET].

- To some extent, yes. I mean, I don't want to go back to two years of basic military service and three years in the navy, but military training for young men should occur to some extent - replied Przemysław Czarnek.

- And every day I think about whether the photovoltaics on this roof will catch fire, what will happen if it breaks down. I will dismantle these panels from the roof in the foreseeable future, because they would not be needed at all if energy in Poland was based on what we have - said Przemysław Czarnek on "Gość Radia ZET".

- This is an issue [abortion law] that we will consider when we are in power. We will also ask Poles about it. We are defenders of life and we have always declared this, and we will defend life - said Przemysław Czarnek on "Gość Radia ZET".

"If I take this loan [SAFE] without the act - which I hope the President will veto or send to the Tribunal, and the Tribunal will find obvious unconstitutionality [...] - then we will indeed be dealing with an abuse of power on the part of those who will want to take out this loan," said Przemysław Czarnek on "Gość Radia ZET."

"If it is taken out, it will be a big problem for Poland in the future. [...] I say today: if someone illegally takes this loan without the act - which I hope the President will veto - they will be held responsible," he declared.

- We have exceptionally persistently, loudly, and firmly advised against visits to and through the Middle East. Secondly, to receive information, you need to register in the Odyseusz database - said Radosław Sikorski in an interview with Dominika Wielowieyska on „Poranek TOK FM”.

- Now we are finishing, the peak of evacuations is right now, and these are already thousands of our compatriots. I have precise data as of this morning - it's already about 8,000 people who have left, both through commercial flights and as a result of evacuation via Oman and via Saudi Arabia - he continued.

- More evacuation flights today, others on Wednesday, perhaps already within the EU mechanism, because of course, initially, preference was given to our citizens, but the EU mechanism encourages taking on board other European Union citizens as well - he continued.

- I have made further decisions regarding the bills sent to the President of the Republic of Poland in the current legislative process. This time, I have decided to sign ten bills that have landed on my desk. Among them is a special project – the Act on the Defense of the Polish Countryside. This is a project I initiated on the fourth day of my presidency, during a meeting with farmers in Krąpiel, West Pomeranian Voivodeship. Thanks to my legislative initiative, with the support of practically the entire parliament, a solution was adopted that prohibits the sale of Polish land to foreign hands for 10 years. Now, this solution becomes universally binding law of the Republic of Poland - stated President Karol Nawrocki in a recording published on social media.

“This is an Attempt at Political Manipulation”

- This is the first, but an important step on this path. A step made possible by your decision in June 2025. Together, we are defending the Polish countryside against the sale of Polish land. Today's decisions also mean that I have signed a total of 167 bills. I mention this because you will probably not hear it from the Prime Minister or government representatives. Instead, attempts will be made again to cover up their own incompetence with stories about the president allegedly blocking government work. This is a false story. It is an attempt at political manipulation. A narrative completely contrary to the facts - he continued.

- At first glance, 167 signed bills may seem like a lot. The number is considerable, however, we must realize that many of them are merely technical in nature. Of course, there are also those that were adopted after I previously pointed out errors and refused to sign them. After my remarks were taken into account, they were signed. When I said I would encourage the government to work, I also meant such actions. The government's correction of its previous mistakes concerns, among other things, the act repealing the special treatment of Ukrainians in Poland, the act introducing the energy shield, as well as the amended act on oil and gas product reserves after my veto - said the President of the Republic of Poland.

“My Veto is Always Backed by a Constructive Proposal”

- If I had not said a clear “no” then, a number of special rules for Ukrainians would still be in effect in Poland. We would also have wind turbines next to our homes, and preferences would be given to maintaining strategic energy reserves outside our country. Therefore, I want to say clearly – my veto is always backed by a constructive proposal, better law, law closer to the expectations of Poles than what the government prepared - he emphasized. 

“Bills Implementing the Loudly Announced 100 Concrete Actions or Commitments of Other Coalition Parties Were Missing”

- Significantly, among all 194 bills that were submitted to me, there were none that would implement the most important promises of the current ruling coalition. Bills implementing the loudly announced 100 concrete actions or commitments of other coalition parties were missing. Projects concerning a higher tax-free amount, subsidies for rent for young academics, for students for a zloty, or dental vouchers for children did not appear. All this while the government was not fulfilling its commitments. I presented 16 legislative initiatives. Among them were projects to lower electricity prices for families and businesses, increase the second tax bracket, lower taxes for families raising two children, and ensure decent pension indexation for seniors. However, the government and the parliamentary majority have so far vetoed 15 out of 16 of these projects, not working on them. This best shows the situation we are in today - stated Karol Nawrocki.

“The Government is Not Fulfilling Its Own Promises, and at the Same Time is Blocking Solutions That Poles Expect”

- The government is not fulfilling its own promises, and at the same time is blocking solutions that Poles expect. Nevertheless, my approach remains constructive. Therefore, I today signed, among others, the act on grants for doctoral students. This act, although as we have become accustomed to with this government, does not provide financial resources, it creates a legal instrument enabling the payment of such grants from the universities' own funds. This will benefit younger Polish scientists, whom we must care for better than before - he stressed.

He continued: - I also signed a bill deregulating administrative obligations for cooperative banks. Simplifying their operations will allow them to compete more effectively for clients with global corporations and free them from the excessive tangle of administrative requirements. As part of deregulation efforts, I also signed a bill enabling the remote operation of the bodies of foundations and associations. This is an important and necessary facilitation for non-governmental organizations.

- I want to say clearly – I sign good laws. And where the law requires improvement, I try to change it, among other things by presenting my own positive proposals. Because Poles expect those in power to take their commitments to citizens seriously. My duty as President of the Republic of Poland is to safeguard the interests of Poles and build a strong Poland. And only these goals guide all my decisions. I do not block the government where I can; on the contrary, I help to fix its own mistakes. This is not about politics, but about the welfare and prosperity of citizens. It is worth remembering this - he concluded.

- It seems to me that President Karol Nawrocki already stated that he would not agree to the use of Polish troops, and there are no government ideas to seek such consent – said Radosław Sikorski in „Poranek TOK FM”, when asked whether Poland could send its military to the Middle East if US President Donald Trump requested such assistance.

- On March 8th, general elections were held within the structures of the Civic Coalition, where eligible members directly elected the leader of the Coalition, regional leaders, district leaders, members of district councils, and delegates - said Dorota Niedziela at a press conference.

- 78% of eligible voters participated in the elections. The number of valid votes cast in total for the coalition's leadership candidate was 16,695 votes. The number of valid votes in favor of electing the candidate was 16,316 votes. The number of valid votes against electing the candidate was 379 votes, which constitutes 97% of the valid votes in favor of the candidate - she continued.

- In light of the above, the commission states that the candidate Donald Tusk obtained the majority of valid 'for' votes required by the statute and has been elected as the leader of the Civic Coalition - she announced.

- Fuel was supposed to be 5.19 PLN/l, and it's already almost 8 PLN/l. It was supposed to be cheaper, but it's more expensive... They are raising prices deliberately, even though the currently sold oil was purchased before the price increases, meaning much cheaper. This will impact the cost of living for Poles - Jarosław Kaczyński wrote on social media.

"Przemysław Czarnek has a long history of pro-immigration statements. Meanwhile, the far-right is associated with reluctance towards the arrival of large groups of immigrants in Poland. Therefore, in my opinion, Przemysław Czarnek has no credibility in the truly far-right sector," said Krzysztof Bosak on "Poranek TOK FM".

- I am pointing out that the stance of PiS [Law and Justice party] towards this war [in the Middle East], or at least parts of their support base or the politicians themselves, has been, I would say, imprudent, to put it mildly. This means that criticism of anything the Americans do is practically beyond them, one might get the impression - said Krzysztof Bosak in "Poranek TOK FM" (TOK FM Morning Show).

- Some PiS MPs danced the Trump dance, recorded themselves, invested in their image. Some PiS MEPs even serve as background figures at Republican rallies. It seems to me that this is a mistake - he assessed.

- I have just made a decision, based on the Sejm's rules of procedure, to set a deadline for submitting applications regarding the election of 6 Constitutional Tribunal judges. This deadline is March 11th, Wednesday, until 12:00 PM. Applications for the Sejm to elect a person to the position of Constitutional Tribunal judge can be submitted by the Sejm Presidium or by at least 50 MPs - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference.

- I have just signed letters to all parliamentary clubs and all parliamentary groups. They will be sent immediately after this press conference - emphasized the Marshal of the Sejm.

- My announcement of this information today will most likely lead to the election of judges to the Constitutional Tribunal during this Sejm session this week - he continued.

- What will be the decision, what will be the consequence of this decision? We shall see. One should also expect the Sejm's stance [on the publication of Constitutional Tribunal rulings] on this matter, which will be adopted during this session. Probably so [a resolution] - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference.

- But that's precisely why we, as a coalition, decided to meet and talk, to find out if we're discussing SAFE zero percent, or zero percent at all? In my opinion, it's more likely discussing zero percent - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference.

- If someone, two years before an election which it's still unknown whether they'll lose or win, designates a prime ministerial candidate according to themselves, it's clear they want to cover something up and, so to speak, hide something. In my opinion, PiS wants to hide internal PiS disputes at the moment, but I'll repeat one thing and will always say it - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference.

- One shouldn't be fooled by the prime ministerial candidacy, because this prime minister will be prime minister when Braun is deputy prime minister and Mentzen is deputy prime minister. That is, Czarnek is planning for PiS to take 231 seats? Not only did they choose a completely radical candidate, similar in views to Braun, but a person who doesn't think - he continued.

- As you know, the prosecutor's office has issued an arrest warrant for Mr. Ziobro. They are looking for him to charge him. Parliament is acting faster in this matter. On March 10th, at the Sejm Presidium, I will submit a motion to permanently strip Mr. Ziobro of his diet and 90% of his salary. From that moment on, he will receive 1350 PLN. - We share the view that we need a very practical solution here. Poland supports Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression, nothing will change my conviction that it is in the interest not only of Ukraine, but also of Poland, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and all of Europe, to support Ukraine so that it does not lose this war. Because Ukraine's lost war means a radical increase in threat certainly for Poland and other Eastern flank countries, but this threat will also concern all other EU member states. - Therefore, I am counting on Ukraine to come up with some idea, some way to ease the tension, and I mean this both in terms of words and actions, unnecessary tension, but the source of this tension is primarily the openly pro-Putin policy of Prime Minister Orban. I would like us to show maximum understanding, even if President Zelensky said one sentence too many - he continued.

- Even if we understand the emotions surrounding the pipeline, on the fundamental issue, no one can have doubts: Ukraine is fighting for its independence and its security, and Viktor Orbán is a politician who no longer hides his weakness for President Putin and Russia's policy in the slightest, and therefore, regarding the 90 billion, as in many other matters, Europe must very effectively enforce our decisions - he emphasized.

- Hungary signed this decision. I am convinced that Europe can calmly use this 90 billion for Ukraine, without waiting for further approval from Budapest. I was at those deliberations, Hungary accepted this decision. We will not go back to this indefinitely, simply because Mr. Orban favors Russia more than Ukraine today - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a press conference with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands.

- Every day new reasons emerge why I, and I am not alone in this, would want the president to sign the SAFE Act as soon as possible. When I speak of new reasons, I am primarily referring to the developments in the Middle East. The protracted war with Iran. And this has consequences when it comes to rearmament capabilities. Weapons are becoming less available and more expensive. And this situation will not improve. I want to state that regarding supplies and storage, there is currently no reason for concern. The second reading of the parliamentary draft resolution concerning "actions necessary for the Constitutional Tribunal to meet the requirements of a court established by law, independent and impartial" is scheduled for Thursday – meaning the Sejm will adopt the aforementioned proposal during this session.

The adoption of the resolution is to be linked with filling vacancies in the Constitutional Tribunal by electing 6 judges. It can be assumed that, in practice, the coalition intends to have a "backstop" to resume the publication of the tribunal's judgments, once judges elected by the current majority have been appointed.

- Head of the International Policy Bureau Marcin Przydacz received ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions of Arab states in Poland at the Presidential Palace – the Chancellery of the President reported.

As stated in the communication: - The discussion concerned the security situation in the Persian Gulf region, as well as bilateral relations between Poland and Arab states. Prospects for further strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas such as new technologies, energy, and food security were discussed.

The Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland (KPRP) specified that diplomats representing Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iraq, Yemen, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia, and the United Arab Emirates participated in the meeting.
