At 9:00 AM, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Deputy Prime Minister and Deputy Minister Cezary Tomczyk, Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army Wiesław Kukuła, and Commander of the Operational Command of the Armed Forces Karol Molenda will participate in a press conference dedicated to the Universal Voluntary Defense Training program.

At 3:00 PM, the Sejm Committee on Constitutional Responsibility will – in a closed session – hear testimony from Dorota Szymanek, Krzysztof Senderowicz, and Kamila Sukiennik. They have been summoned as witnesses in the case of the preliminary motion to hold the President of the National Bank of Poland, Adam Glapiński, constitutionally responsible before the State Tribunal.

Also at 3:00 PM, an extraordinary subcommittee will consider the government's draft law on the coordination of anti-corruption activities and the liquidation of the Central Anticorruption Bureau.

"Mr. Speaker Czarzasty [...] being the second person in the state, the Marshal of the Sejm, should know the rules of diplomacy, he should not act like a bull in a china shop, but even if he has a different opinion, which he is of course entitled to, regarding the assessment of the actions of this or that politician, he should do so in a diplomatic manner, not as if he were a publicist," said Zbigniew Bogucki in an interview with Dominika Wielowieyska on "Poranek TOK FM".

- Marshal Czarzasty should not have been appointed to this position at all - said Zbigniew Bogucki on TOK FM.

- If Marshal Czarzasty had a tincture of that state-building gene, and after all that has rolled out in the media, what has arisen in international relations, and also looking at his history, if someone says I have no right, then this is my assessment, and I make this assessment based on his life history - he continued.

- So his joining the communists after martial law, what he said about the wall at the border, the fact that it always happens that he somehow fits more or less into either Soviet or Moscow interests, and that's how I assess it, that's my assessment, he should simply honorably resign, step down from this position - he went on to say.

- I think that the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sikorski, is once again, so to speak, trying to invent some stories out of thin air - said Zbigniew Bogucki in TOK FM, when asked about Radosław Sikorski's statement, which referred to the American ambassador's words about the Marshal of the Sejm: "I will want to know to what extent this was the stance of the American authorities and to what extent it was the ambassador's personal opinion, and whether there was any coordination with our opposition.".

- I think it would be good for him to simply focus on his work, i.e., if he is, and he is the Minister of Foreign Affairs, he should clarify this through diplomatic channels - he continued.

- I have no such knowledge [...]. No, absolutely not, why would we, I mean, Mr. President Nawrocki has one [...] such ironclad principle when it comes to international matters: not to air what is in Poland externally - he went on, when pressed whether anyone had alerted the administration of Donald Trump about the remarks made by Włodzimierz Czarzasty.

- This recording was delivered to me by an anonymous person, via messenger around January 20th. An investigation was immediately launched within the Ministry of Interior and Administration (MSWiA), and information was passed to the Government Protection Bureau (SOP). It happened to be the day the commander of the SOP was changing. An explanatory investigation was initiated in this matter, and a notification was also submitted to the MSWiA by the internal supervisor – a person who acts as an intermediary for control over services within the ministry. This notification was sent to the prosecutor's office - stated Marcin Kierwiński in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Radio Zet.

- The SOP filed another notification to the prosecutor's office in this matter, and disciplinary proceedings were initiated with the aim of dismissing this officer from service. I just want to correct the lies of the so-called TV Republika journalists who claim that someone allowed this officer to retire. No, disciplinary proceedings are ongoing. The officer is suspended; no one allowed him to retire. Further steps in this matter should be expected from the new leadership of the SOP - the head of MSWiA continued.

- My stance on this is absolutely clear, but it's not up to me whether it will be signed or not, but rather the President of the Republic, Karol Nawrocki - said Zbigniew Bogucki on TOK FM when asked if the law on the National Council of the Judiciary (KRS) would be signed.

- Minister Bodnar, who created these solutions, is not here, this law will not pass, and I hope that Minister Żurek will not be here any sooner than the two years until the elections - he continued, when pressed on whether the KRS law has a chance of being enacted.

- You must invite PiS politicians, and it was they who created the Government Protection Bureau (SOP), they who vetted SOP officers, they who reformed the Government Protection Bureau (BOR), they said all doubts would be clarified, and as you can see, they were clarified in such a way that, apart from an increasing amount of negative news, there is also an extreme mess left by PiS, which I now have to clean up and will continue to clean up - stated Marcin Kierwiński on Radio Zet.

- If PiS politicians are shouting about my resignation, it means I am doing my job well. I [do not intend to resign], I intend to continue cleaning up the mess and the Augean stables that PiS politicians left me - stated Marcin Kierwiński on Radio Zet.

- It’s absurd that the President and his political circle are letting themselves be exploited by right-wing television stations to be carriers of false information distributed by these stations. Frankly, it's unserious - stated Marcin Kierwiński on Radio Zet.

- I can ask: how is it that various compromised individuals, who once managed special services and theoretically cared for Polish security, have now found themselves in President Nawrocki's Chancellery? If there were any doubts regarding Marshal Czarzasty, who was then a Member of Parliament and sat on the special services committee, why didn't Mr. Wacławek, a former high-ranking official of the service, do anything about it? Didn't he know, did he lack competence, did he forget? - stated Marcin Kierwiński on Radio Zet.

- I think it's starting to resemble a decent telenovela. I've been hearing about this temptation [of the PSL] for many, many years now. Meanwhile, no one talks about other parties being tempted. - We are a permanent element of this democratic majority system and we are not going anywhere - said Piotr Zgorzelski in VOX FM's "Morning Ring.".

- But in the external dimension, this escalation of relations with the ambassador, however strongly or weakly one might call it, does not serve Polish-American relations, because today two things are most important to us - he stated.

- However, after this statement, the American ambassador wrote a very sharp post. The question is, of course, whether he had to be so harsh. One can argue that perhaps he didn't have to, but should he have reacted at all? In my opinion, any ambassador in any country, upon becoming aware that their president is being accused of violating international law, would have to react - he stated.

- Whether he should have reacted so harshly immediately? That's probably up to Ambassador Rose. Certainly, in my opinion, he should not have brought up our military and threatened to take it away - he emphasized.

- It's ahead of us. I understand what it's about, it's about a commitment. We are prepared with a parliamentary bill. - Over 18,000 registered for the training. 16,000 people were trained. We are very pleased that women and men alike eagerly took advantage of this invitation to universal voluntary defense training - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference, summarizing the pilot program "wGotowości" (On Alert).

As the head of the Ministry of National Defense stated: - The largest age group consisted of individuals between 36 and 45 years old. The oldest participants [...], among women: an 80-year-old woman participated. Among men: a 91-year-old in the cyber hygiene course. Let us recall that we have four courses: a basic course, a survival course, a cyber hygiene course, and a pre-medical first aid course.

- A very good response, with approximately 80% attendance. This is significant considering the time it took place, when many infectious diseases are prevalent, and the weather this year, in both November and December, was not favorable, demonstrating a specific, far-reaching determination from those who decided to participate in the training - he continued.

- I would like to sincerely thank everyone who participated. This is an expression of patriotism, responsibility for oneself, for one's family, for one's neighbors. To put it grandly, but truthfully: for Poland, for all of us, for the entire society - he emphasized.

- These exercises, this pilot program, are concluding with a very good outcome in terms of interest, especially in territorial defense. Approximately 23-25% of individuals indicated that they would like to continue their engagement and see themselves most fitting within territorial defense - he added.

- The year 2026 will be the year of the reserve, the year of reservists, the year of changes in the reserve for all of us. Our ambition is "Army 500" – an army of 500,000, where a large portion will also consist of those in the highest state of readiness in the reserve – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

- By uttering this formula "Army 500," by talking about the capacity of individuals, both a 300,000-strong professional, regular army [...], we are talking about another group of hundreds of thousands of people who will be ready as reservists. And in varying states of readiness, because we have an active reserve and a passive reserve, and within the active reserve, one in high readiness, who will train more often, will be more useful – he continued.

- But it will also be a significant signal to those who might want to threaten our security, who would want to endanger our security, that readiness to defend the homeland is not just for those who wear a uniform today, but for all those who can wear one – he pointed out.

- "Army 500" will include both those who join professional service, voluntary basic military service, territorial service, as well as those in the high-readiness reserve. […] For reservist training to become attractive, we need [...] both legislative changes concerning the quality and flexibility of performing these functions, maintaining full readiness, and the reservist's choice of their own path, choosing the days they want to train. As well as compensation, which has never been the case before – compensation for participation in these training exercises – he explained.

- Regarding compulsory military service – it is suspended, not abolished. By virtue of an act from the first decade of this century, it was suspended, but not abolished. It can be reinstated at any moment, although there are no such plans currently within the ministry or the [Polish Army General Staff] – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

- This discussion is ongoing. It continues among civilians, military personnel, in various dimensions, and among our citizens. It is ongoing in different countries. We have adopted a strategy of universal, voluntary defense training, and through this, identifying and recruiting as many individuals interested in military service as possible. Changes to the reserve this year are crucial for us – he continued.

- The Prosecutor General, Waldemar Żurek, today submitted to the Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, a motion for the Sejm of the Republic of Poland to consent to the prosecution of Member of Parliament Michał Woś for criminal liability - the National Prosecutor's Office announced.

- As you know, coalition representatives are discussing how to reconstitute the Constitutional Tribunal so that it consists of apolitical, good lawyers, making it an authentic tribunal. We will see, I want to know if the Marshal foresees these announcements [regarding vacancies in the CT] this month - stated Waldemar Żurek in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

- As you have heard today, we also have another round of accountability. We have charges against Mr. Bąkiewicz, a motion filed with the Marshal of the Sejm to lift Mr. Woś's immunity, and further charges in the case of the Fund for the Just (Fundusz Sprawiedliwości), concerning irregularities that occurred there – stated Waldemar Żurek in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

- So, these accountability measures are proceeding at full steam. As far as prosecutors are able and take action, we will continue and bring those individuals who misappropriated funds from the State Treasury, exceeded their powers, and exposed the State Treasury to losses, to justice – he continued.

- The President cannot sign a pig in a poke. The President must know what is hidden behind this law. And that is what we demand and what we want to discuss at the RBN [National Security Council] - he pointed out.

- The Commander-in-Chief, responsible for the security of the nation and state, should say: "I am signing the law, dear compatriots, you will be paying it off until 2070. I will be 99 years old then, if I am even alive. But essentially, I don't know what else these funds will be spent on, because apart from what is sometimes said in public space, thanks to the government, I don't know any details”? - he stated.
