Firstly, we call for them to challenge this agreement in the Court of Justice of the European Union. This is a completely different procedure than the one in the European Parliament - said Piotr Müller at a press conference.

- As you know, I was a judge for many years, and I deeply respect judicial independence. We have recommendations for prosecutors. Wherever a court issues a lenient sentence, in the prosecutor's opinion, too lenient, the prosecution will have a recommendation in these guidelines to file an appeal. This is one form of pressure we can exert through the prosecution, but another, in my opinion, is more important. - said Waldemar Żurek at a press conference.

- In many of these recidivism cases, prosecutors will request a hearing. Media participate in such cases in every court during hearings. Journalists review the court dockets, and when cases involving multiple offenders or even ordinary repeat offenders appear on the docket, I assume that you, who are the conduit of information for society, will also report on these cases. - Waldemar Żurek continued.

- I don't want to say that judges need scarecrows in the form of journalists and press articles and films, but it seems to me that we should speak about this very loudly. If a sentence appears that is absolutely inadequate to the offense, glaringly too lenient, I want such cases to be loud - the Minister of Justice continued.

- From January 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025, courts sentenced 20,344 individuals for violating driving bans. These are not hundreds, but thousands. Prosecutors' offices registered 55,573 cases, of which 37,702 involve charges of committing crimes under Articles 244 and 180a of the Penal Code - said Waldemar Żurek at a press conference.

- We looked at the statistics for fatal accidents in 2024, and Poland has 52 fatal victims per million inhabitants. For example, Sweden has 20 people, and Denmark has 24. These are, of course, model countries that have very intensively focused on road safety in Europe, but in these statistics, we are in one of the worst places. Therefore, inspired also by your questions at previous press conferences, the National Prosecutor and I conducted an inspection in common prosecutor's offices - said Waldemar Żurek at a press conference.

- Ladies and gentlemen, I have before me a report that is 337 pages long, containing 1172 cases that show what can be changed. This year, we amended the act, with some provisions entering into force this year. It was processed last year, but we can also change practices, and today at this conference with Prosecutor Korneluk, we will tell you how we intend to change these practices, and we have already started with decisions - Waldemar Żurek continued.

- Why has Radosław Sikorski forgotten his English? Why is it that the man, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, who tried at all costs to prove he has excellent relations with the American administration, to such an extent that he even ran onto the lawn in front of the White House to prove he has excellent contacts with Marco Rubio, why is the Minister of Foreign Affairs silent? - Tobiasz Bocheński said at a press conference.

- Why, for several days now [...] Radek Sikorski, despite his excellent English, has not found the time to speak out on this matter [Trump's words about soldiers]? - he continued.

"President Nawrocki's response was adequate, firm, and President Karol Nawrocki, as well as the entire Law and Justice party, Chairman Jarosław Kaczyński, and all members of Law and Justice, always stand as a wall behind the Polish uniform," said Tobiasz Bocheński at a press conference, when asked if President Nawrocki should have demanded a reaction from Donald Trump, as the British Prime Minister did.

- Today, I am submitting a request to the EPP to present a price list of penalties that Germans impose on Poles who vote against their decisions - he continued.

- We have read that 10 MEPs who voted against Ursula von der Leyen will have financial penalties imposed on them within the EPP in the European Parliament - he went on to say.

- We will demand that such practices be simply eliminated in the European Parliament, because it is a mafia-like, corrupt arrangement that involves blackmailing with money in matters of voting - he added.

- We are embarking on very important work in Poland to defend Polish agriculture in a situation of absolute threat. Donald Tusk's government is allowing the European Union to introduce solutions, regulations, and international agreements that are destroying Polish agriculture - said Tobiasz Bocheński at a press conference.

- Mercosur, the trade agreement with Ukraine, further announcements from Ursula von der Leyen [...] about adopting new solutions and new international agreements that will endanger our agriculture and our economy - he continued.

- We also naturally discussed Poland's greatest security ally, i.e. the USA. In essence, this transatlantic alliance between European countries, between Poland and the USA, is a guarantee of peace and security throughout Europe. We also discussed this with Madam President, reaching the conclusion that the USA is essentially one of the guarantors of security in the entire region - stated President Karol Nawrocki during a press meeting with the President of Moldova.

- Madam President, and Moldova itself, are in fact proof of how to exit the Russian sphere of influence, and this is very pleasing in Poland. Poland can count on Moldova in this direction, in this process, and within this process. Although many experts did not predict victory, Moldova managed to defend democracy and win these elections. I think that today, before our eyes, Moldova is in fact becoming an example for many countries around the world on how to break free from Russian influence - stated President Karol Nawrocki during a media meeting with the President of Moldova.

- What President Donald Trump said is scandalous, and I unequivocally condemn it. Secondly, full respect for the Polish soldiers who participated in operations in both Afghanistan and Iraq - Włodzimierz Czarzasty said in a statement to TVN24.

- Thirdly, Mr. Nawrocki did not respond as the President of Poland should have. He should have condemned Trump's response and unequivocally supported Polish soldiers, but not in this delicate way. Things must be called by their names. Trump said a terrible thing, and that's what the President should have said, and Polish soldiers are fantastic soldiers - he continued.

- The Prime Minister of England called things by their names, and Trump apologized to him. Mr. President, on your knees, you will achieve nothing for Poland - he went on to say.

- I hope that PiS will win the next election on its own, so that we don't have to look for any coalition partners. And PO is today at the antipodes of PiS, it is a fundamentally liberal party, very strongly left-wing, anti-development - stated Mateusz Morawiecki on Echo24 television.

- As far as we know, he [Karol Nawrocki] spoke with President Trump in Davos about a permanent American base in Poland. A permanent base, a permanent military base of American troops, is a breakthrough because it is a clear raising of the bar for Poland's security thanks to the presence of American troops - stated Mateusz Morawiecki on Echo24 television.

- I witness weekly meetings between the Prime Minister and Minister Pełczyńska-Nałęcz. There is the Council of Ministers, but there's also always an opportunity before or after to have a brief conversation. So, I don't see any problem in this regard - said Adam Szłapka on TVN24's "One on One".

When asked if there was any specific, long, individual meeting that Pełczyńska-Nałęcz requested, he replied: - I don't recall such a meeting recently, but they meet regularly, and I think there are no issues here that would also require such additional meetings, because everything is discussed at the government meetings.

- I think that at the moment when he imposed sanctions on Rosneft and Lukoil, on the shadow fleet, at the moment when he pushed Russia out of Venezuela, Putin really, for the first time, began to wonder if it wasn't beneficial for Russia, for the Kremlin at this stage, to actually seek peace, because until now, I am convinced that he was negotiating in bad faith - stated Mateusz Morawiecki on Echo24 television.

- And now, through the strength that Russia certainly feels, through intelligence and reconnaissance data that allows the Ukrainian armed forces to precisely target Russian refineries or other elements of energy infrastructure, I think that now too, for the first time, Putin is wondering if he shouldn't really sit down at the table for talks, talks that could lead to peace - he continued.

- Today, I believe, there will be a response from the club [to the president's invitation for a meeting with parliamentary clubs and circles]. The details are being finalized, so I don't think there will be a problem - said Adam Szłapka on TVN24's "One on One".

- This is not an initiative that hasn't happened before. I recall after the elections, I also participated in a meeting with President Andrzej Duda, also as a representative of the Civic Coalition, among others. Such meetings do occur. They are usually courtesy meetings rather than meetings concerning specific matters - he continued.

- A day or two earlier, President Trump spoke with President Nawrocki and highly praised the combat strength of the Polish soldier, calling our soldiers excellent commanders, soldiers who are capable of standing their ground brilliantly, who have courage in their hearts, who fight like lions - stated Mateusz Morawiecki on Echo24 television.

- Therefore, I have no reason whatsoever to assume that such words were directed at Polish soldiers, but it is also worth reminding all those who are fueling this narrative about the words of Mr. Frasyniuk, a man from here [Lower Silesia], from these parts, and various other celebrities of the current government, including MPs, who spat on the Polish uniform, called soldiers scum. Let them apologize for all of that - he continued.

- I will not meet with the head of the National Council of the Judiciary (KRS) because she was illegally appointed. Of course, I was at the KRS headquarters before the prosecution started acting with the new spokeswoman - said Waldemar Żurek in the "Morning Conversation" on RMF FM.

- It has no political connotations whatsoever and no connection to any career planning on my part - said Szymon Hołownia in Polsat News, when asked about his wife's departure from the military.

- I think that here [in the prime minister-president relations] there will be no radical change in matters of security and foreign affairs. There will certainly be constant contact between the prime minister and the president. This was also the case regarding the Peace Council, or is - said Adam Szłapka in TVN24's "One on One".

- However, there are situations that require public reaction. Such reactions will occur. That's how it is. This is the Polish political system, where cohabitation between the government and the president is sometimes difficult. As I said, for now, this one is difficult, but it seems to me that it is not the most difficult. The most difficult we have had in Poland's history - he stated.

- We must be aware that hate speech leads in a very bad direction. I will be reorganizing the prosecution service here, and in the coming weeks, I will present a special structure that will be specialized in prosecuting hate speech against everyone. I hope it will work - said Waldemar Żurek in RMF FM's "Morning Interview".

"The United States is our close partner. Our relations should be as good as possible. There are American troops on Polish soil, of course. We are keen for them to be here, for us to be as close as possible within NATO, and for relations between Europe and the United States to be as good as possible. But for these relations to be truly partnership-based, we all must respect each other. We must respect each other as partners and [...] we must respect ourselves. We, Poland, must respect ourselves, and many PiS politicians lack this," said Adam Szłapka in the program 'One on One' on TVN24.

"I will look into this matter, as I would not want Mr. Borowski to somehow become an icon of the political group he represents as a persecuted person," said Waldemar Żurek during the "Morning Interview" on RMF FM.

- These demands to amend Article 212 of the Penal Code have been around for years. I believe we should sit down and try to change it. The penalties should be very high but within civil proceedings. In fact, not penalties, but rather compensation, damages, or even publication costs. To return to the principle: if you lie, you will have to publish in the same medium. It will cost you 50,000 [zloty] - said Waldemar Żurek in the "Morning Interview" on RMF FM.

"I appeal to both gentlemen to end this war as soon as possible. The President's stubbornness, saying 'no, just because,' must be broken immediately. I believe Minister Sikorski has arguments to make at least some of these ambassadors acceptable to the President" – said Szymon Hołownia on Polsat News.

- We need to recall the essentials. Adam Borowski could apologize, but he refuses to do so. We remember the case of Jarosław Kaczyński, where regulations were changed so that the party leader would not incur significant costs for publishing apologies after civil lawsuits with Sikorski. And then it turns out that we have no instruments to deal with someone who is a slanderer. Here, on the other side, we have an active lawyer who is told that he cooperates with gangsters. This undermines his ability to practice his profession, so resistance is evident here. - said Waldemar Żurek in the "Morning Interview" on RMF FM.

- I know Mr. Borowski from various journalistic programs in which I participated. I know he is very emotionally involved, but that does not excuse him. If Kowalski insulted someone like that, he would face the same penalty. Now let's return to Article 212 of the Penal Code. I fought for freedom of speech when we had communism, and I believe that prison for statements is too harsh. But on the other hand, we know how long civil lawsuits drag on. If someone insults someone, throws mud at them, they might get a final judgment after 6 years in some courts, a situation brought about by Minister Ziobro. - Waldemar Żurek continued.

- I am saying very clearly and explicitly: in the situation we have today, I am absolutely not considering any exit from the coalition - said Szymon Hołownia on Polsat News.

- Of course, we need to be much more assertive in this coalition than we have been so far - he continued.

- I usually don't quote Sławomir Mentzen here. However, in one of his recent interviews, Sławomir Mentzen – who is by no means a supporter or someone backing Donald Tusk's government – spoke and, in fact, spoke the truth about how things were – said Adam Szłapka in the "One on One" program on TVN24.

He was referring here to Mentzen's words, already quoted by Tusk.

- Donald Tusk has always pursued a very assertive policy in the European Union and internationally, strongly focused on Poland's interests, while simultaneously not damaging his relationships with our partners. Mateusz Morawiecki's only action was always shouting at press conferences, and at the actual meetings, it was essentially a policy of capitulation every time. This was also the case within the EU, because if I recall Mercosur, the Green Deal, the migration pact... – he continued.

- If there is a situation where we are dealing with the privatization of the movement by one of the factions [...] I see no other solution. Yes, I will leave Poland 2050, because it will no longer be Poland 2050, nor Szymon Hołownia's, nor the values with which I founded this Poland 2050 - said Szymon Hołownia on Polsat News.

- I am sure, so to speak, that the governing majority is with me. The governing majority, as you know, mathematically stands at 13 today, but if you look from the beginning of the term [...] at voting statistics [...] then effectively it is 15-16 - he continued, when asked about the "number of sabers" in the Sejm.

- I am at a loss for words. Officers, a person already down on the ground, essentially an execution. When we watch the frame-by-frame footage, he wasn't threatening with a weapon, he wasn't holding a weapon in his hand, it had already been taken from him. An execution. The worst thing that terrifies me are such statements, like Mr. Tarczyński's, but also how the services in the United States speak at conferences defending that situation. I think the voters of Dominik Tarczyński should watch this film in slow motion and compare it with Dominik Tarczyński's statements. Is this the Poland we want? - said Waldemar Żurek in the "Morning Interview" on RMF FM.

- We have freedom of speech, and it seems to me that [what Tarczyński is saying] falls within the limits of freedom of expression, but it shows what the party Dominik Tarczyński comes from wants to achieve, essentially complete impunity for the services. - Waldemar Żurek continued.

"The decisions being made today by the National Council of my party will lead to the destruction of this party. This is programmed self-destruction," said Szymon Hołownia on Polsat News.

- We know perfectly well what attitude PiS politicians have towards Donald Trump, and towards Poland's position vis-à-vis the United States in general. And this is our closest ally, one of the most important partners. A pillar for it, a foundation for it. We should have good relations – said Adam Szłapka in the program „Jeden na jeden” on TVN24.

- However, good relations are partner relations, even if our potentials are significantly different. I think that those partners are treated seriously who themselves treat themselves seriously. PiS and PiS politicians, in their relations with the United States, never treat Poland seriously. They always treat Poland as a vassal, as a poor relative – he assessed.

- And we are, after all, a state that is an important, strong state in Europe. We are the 20th largest economy in the world, admittedly many times smaller than the US economy, but still an important partner. We have made, and continue to make, gigantic arms purchases in the United States. We have an important role to play and we play an important role in the European Union. We are one of the most populous countries in the EU – he continued.

In his opinion: - We should respect ourselves. PiS politicians simply do not respect us. They do not respect themselves. They do not respect all of Poland.

"- This will be a misfortune, I think it will end up the way [...] Katarzyna Lubnauer took over from Ryszard Petru in Nowoczesna. Meaning, some small group will remain, other small groups will split off, this small group will fight for subjectivity, and in the end, will end up in the Civic Coalition" - said Szymon Hołownia in Polsat News, when asked if he would leave the party if the National Council did not change its decision and the second round of elections in Poland 2050 would be repeated.

- In my assessment, there are really two possibilities. [...] Either we need to postpone the electoral process in this situation, restart the electoral process. Some in my party say, "Well yes, but there are sacred principles of democracy, once we finish the electoral process, the war will end." No. This war will lead to another war - said Szymon Hołownia in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News' "Graffiti.".

- We need to restart this process. You don't hold elections during a war. Especially during a civil war, which is what we are dealing with in this grouping today - he continued.

- The second version is, I'm trying to work on this somehow with the female candidates, bringing about an agreement for the candidates to co-chair this party - he went on to say.

The President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, will pay an official visit to Poland. At 10:00 AM, a formal welcoming ceremony will take place at the Presidential Palace, followed by a one-on-one meeting with President Nawrocki at 10:15 AM.
