Przydacz on Poland's Role in the Peace Council:
Tomorrow, the Signature Will Not Be Finalized.
- Of course, the matter requires further analysis and discussion. It is clear that this should be treated as a distinction for Poland, as many European leaders, and not only them, including the Prime Minister of Canada, the President of Argentina, and leaders of Asian and South American states, have been invited to this initiative - stated Marcin Przydacz at a press briefing in Davos.
- The discussion must indeed concern legal issues as well, specifically the form of Poland's potential participation, and here full compliance with Polish regulations must be maintained, because, as international law states, any commitment under an international agreement, especially one establishing an international organization, if not fully implemented and in accordance with domestic law, cannot be considered binding - he continued.
- Therefore, it is necessary to initiate a potential internal procedure - he emphasized.
- It is clear that at tomorrow's meeting, to which the President received an invitation and confirmed his presence, the signature, in both legal and factual terms, will not be finalized. However, it is also clear that Poland expresses a certain objective interest in the further development of the situation surrounding the Peace Council - added the presidential minister.
