At 9:00 AM, a press conference will be held in front of the Ministry of Justice in Warsaw, featuring PiS MPs Patryk Jaki, Michał Wójcik, Mariusz Gosek, and Zbigniew Kuźmiuk.

At 11:10 AM, a press conference will take place concerning the situation of residents of the Park Paderewski estate in Zawiercie, with the participation of, among others, Sejm Marshal Włodzimierz Czarzasty. The topic will be the residents' fight for their right to housing and the Marshal's actions in response to the residents' appeal.

- First and foremost, an important vote took place last week in the European Parliament, and what astonishes me is that not only MEPs from Konfederacja and PiS voted against these clauses, but also some MEPs from the European People's Party within Civic Coalition. This is unacceptable and I believe it should be clarified within the coalition - Marek Sawicki said in 'Rozmowa o 7:00' on RMF24, when asked how Poland should vote on the safeguard clauses concerning the Mercosur agreement, which have been weakened.

- It is astonishing that some Civic Coalition MEPs unfortunately voted against the amendments by MEP Hetman, which significantly improved the guarantee conditions for European farmers. This is incomprehensible to me and, as I said, it requires an internal coalition explanation - he continued.

"Because we also need to explain to farmers that we are not the center of the universe, that there are already less than 10% of us in Poland, in terms of rural residents, and that we must reckon with the fact that the interests of other economic circles will be increasingly represented, and better represented" - Marek Sawicki told RMF24, when asked why not all coalition members speak with one voice regarding safeguard clauses on the Mercosur agreement.

"If the countryside votes for representatives of other circles, with different, so to speak, expectations both in the economic and moral spheres, then they should not be surprised later by the solutions that emerge" - he continued.

"No, absolutely not. Farmers vote for politicians they don't know, they don't know their preferences, they don't know their assessment of the situation in European agriculture and traditional farming and production methods. They also don't know the differences in the nature of the restrictions imposed by the common agricultural policy due to food security" - he went on to say, when asked if it was a matter of farmers voting for parties other than, for example, the PSL.

- It doesn't really matter at all. Please realize that we are more than two years after the parliamentary elections, that Zbigniew Ziobro has waited two years for his immunity to be revoked and for approval for his arrest, and there is less than 1.5 years left to settle this process - Marek Sawicki said on RMF24, when asked if he thought an arrest warrant would be issued concerning Ziobro.

- Today, PiS MPs, PiS politicians, know perfectly well and are waiting for the next elections. If this process of reckonings continues to drag on as it is, then of course the current coalition of October 15 will lose these elections, and the new-old prosecutor Zbigniew Ziobro will simply revoke all the prosecution's requests directed either to the Sejm or to the court - he continued.

- This process [of reckonings] has not really begun in effect. A few requests, a few indictments, a few immunities – where are the indictments in court concerning the most important matters? We have been talking for so long about issues related to ventilators, we have been talking for so long about matters related to the Fundusz Sprawiedliwości (Justice Fund); besides Romanowski, who else faces indictments? Which court, at least in the first instance, has issued a ruling? - he went on to say.

- Another court has already revoked the European arrest warrant for Mr. Romanowski, so it is clear that in the justice system, after 10 years of Zbigniew Ziobro's rampant influence, it turns out that both prosecutors and judges are more loyal to their principal than to the law and the Republic - he added.

- It’s like someone being beaten by 10 thugs on the street, on the pavement, at a tram stop, someone picks them up from a pool of blood and asks them to be thankful for being picked up - Marek Sawicki said on RMF24 when asked about President Nawrocki and his political circle constantly talking about the lack of Ukrainian gratitude and whether he too feels a lack of this gratitude.

- For God’s sake, enough of this hypocrisy, enough of this politics for the domestic market. Why is Karol Nawrocki saying this? Precisely because he has, so to speak, signed a pact with Mr. Mentzen and must show this circle how very anti-Ukrainian he is, how much he needs symmetry right now - he continued.

- By moving the Round Table out of the Presidential Palace, Karol Nawrocki wants to rewrite history. He is distancing himself from the legacy of Lech Kaczyński, from the legacy of Wałęsa, from the legacy of all those who, at that table, bloodlessly carried out a revolution and a change of system in Poland - said Marek Sawicki on RMF24.

- Perhaps Karol Nawrocki does not like this system, but Mr. President, if our system had not been changed at that table in '89, you would never have been president - he continued.

- I'll say this: I don't want to give this gentleman [Jacek Kurski] any more attention. I don't want to, he feeds on it, and I don't want him to get satisfaction from it - stated Piotr Müller in a conversation with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

- Things have been going badly in recent months, with matters of support for Ukraine becoming, unlike at the beginning of the war and for the first few years, no longer a subject of consensus. PiS, which introduced various solutions for Ukraine and Ukrainians right after the outbreak of the war, has questioned the same or similar solutions in recent months. We remember what happened with those laws, so this matter became a subject of such political rivalry in Poland. I hope this Friday changes that – said Tomasz Siemoniak in “Gość Radia Zet”.

- Whatever the feelings may be, Poland and Ukraine have common interests, and this is obvious to anyone involved in politics. This interest is to stop Russia from aggression in Europe – Tomasz Siemoniak continued.

- [Zbigniew Ziobro will not return to Poland] because in Poland, it is impossible to conduct a fair proceeding in this matter, I mean the verdict in this specific case, not even the arrest proceedings, but the verdict in this case, because the randomization of judges has been abolished. And judges will be appointed to his adjudicating panel in the future by individuals associated with Mr. Żurek. - First and foremost, I would like to know on what terms this loan will ultimately be granted, because that is unknown. - Because on the one hand, we should help, but also demand at the same time. There are certain things that Ukraine has declared regarding historical issues, regarding economic cooperation. I would like these to be proven, and then we can talk about support - he continued.

This issue of assets appears in various Russian statements and plans, so this matter is complex, but the most important thing, and this is how the conclusions of this summit should be understood, is that Ukraine has the full support of the European Union - said Tomasz Siemoniak on "Gość Radia Zet".

- I knew that he was a social traffic inspector, which was somehow associated with the militia. He joined the Police in 1990, and this frenzy of some PiS-affiliated commentators regarding this is completely incomprehensible. - Ultimately, the election result counts, not the polls. So, we will simply work, do our thing, and the voters will decide. I think that’s a very honest approach - he added.

- We are filing a notification on behalf of the parliamentary club, Chairman Mariusz Błaszczak and Minister Zbigniew Ziobro, against the Minister of Justice, Mr. Żurek, concerning his omissions regarding the Fund for Judicial Protection, concerning his omissions and actions related to the Fund for Judicial Protection not reaching its intended recipients - said Mariusz Gosek at a press conference.

- Additionally, we are filing a notification to the Supreme Audit Office (NIK) to conduct an inspection of the operations of the Fund for Judicial Protection, and to the National Labour Inspectorate (PIP), because if employees are intimidated, frightened, as the Deputy Minister of Justice states, then such actions should be undertaken ex officio by the National Labour Inspectorate - he continued.

- A notification to the prosecutor's office against Mr. Żurek, to the Supreme Audit Office for an inspection of what is happening [...], a notification to the National Labour Inspectorate to investigate whether there is any mobbing taking place here - he went on to say.

- We had no influence on this date, and I must admit I am somewhat saddened that we have to wait so long for such requests. Let us remember that this request was filed with the court over a month ago, but I was informed that these are standard timelines. Today, 8 years after Minister Ziobro's reforms, such requests simply lie and wait their turn, so we had no influence on the date - stated Waldemar Żurek in an interview with Jan Kwietniewski in the online conversation "Fakt".

- An independent court decided this. For me, this date is also not the best, because truly, today, before the holidays, I still have a lot of decisions, stacks of papers. - There are plans all the time. However, I would like to say clearly. I did, of course, have an idea on how to make this neo-KRS, which generates compensation awards that are later ruled by European courts against Poland, against all of us, cease to function as quickly as possible. Of course, this plan of mine had to be accepted by the entire coalition - stated Waldemar Żurek in the online program „Fakt”.

- There was no unanimity, I will put it that way. You could say the majority wanted it. This happens. We have seen various flagship projects - he continued.

- I don't want to comment on that. Ms. Żukowska has her own image, so I don't delve into that. We sometimes have legal debates. They are really very interesting. I would like to be the one who unites the coalition, not breaks it. That's why I'm looking for common ground. - I would prefer it to remain a secret [who blocked the KRS changes]. Yes, you could say that part of the coalition had different ideas about approaching the KRS. I don't think I was radical. Less far-reaching is a great description - he added.

- I remember journalists asking me, saying it was impossible to get these two projects, which I prepared really quickly, into government consideration this year. But it will succeed, we will have these two projects, meaning the rule of law bill, introduced for government consideration even before Christmas. - And here I must thank all coalition partners, the Government Legislation Centre, and Mr. Minister Berek personally, because the pace of work on these projects was truly immense. My Department of Legislation, the codification commission - these are two projects, we are already working on others, planning the return of judges from retirement, the anti-gag law, and the local government law. As my Director of the Department of Legislation once told me, we have 70 draft bills in progress - said the Minister of Justice further.

- Due to the fact that [the court] found deficiencies in the submitted material, specifically that classified materials were not actually provided to the court, this deficiency will be rectified. The court has ordered these materials to be submitted within 7 days. They will be provided, and then the court will be able to proceed - stated Prosecutor Piotr Woźniak during a press briefing at the District Court in Warsaw-Mokotów.

- I won't say anything groundbreaking in this regard, but as of today, we do not have the full infrastructure prepared when it comes to shelters and hiding places. However, today we have nearly 70,000 verified facilities, verified by the State Fire Service, which can serve as points of shelter, and these shelter points have been placed in the new gdziesieukryc.pl application. Anyone will be able to download this application to their smartphone or tablet to know where the nearest shelter point is located - said Marcin Kierwiński at a press conference.

Today's court decision shows only one thing, namely the lies of Zbigniew Ziobro, the politicians of Suwerenna Polska, the politicians of PiS, because they have been telling a story all along, everything has already been settled, Ziobro cannot come here because he has no way to defend himself. You see, quite the contrary. Everything is happening before an independent court, the independent court decides, either moves the proceedings or adjourns them, everything is happening in accordance with Polish law - said Marcin Kierwiński at a press conference.

- Although I am deeply convinced that justice will catch up with all those who stole, I also know that the entire process of accountability must proceed according to the law. And as for Mr. Ziobro, what is delayed is not lost. After all, you all remember Ziobro whining about how everyone is soft, he is the only tough guy, and where is this tough guy today. He is hiding behind lawyers because he is afraid to stand before the court and answer difficult questions. Now that's a softie - Marcin Kierwiński continued.

- We said that we will comply with the CJEU ruling and we will apply the CJEU ruling, but we are still charting the path to implementing appropriate legal solutions. A team is working, which includes the Ministry of Interior and Administration, the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and of course the Minister of Justice, and we will find a way to specify these solutions so that the transcription for individuals who have entered into a same-sex marriage, because they lived in another European country, can be carried out when they arrive here in Poland. However, a regulation is one of the potential avenues. I must say that, in my opinion, it is very ineffective in this regard, because as we have explained many times, a regulation cannot change Polish law in this area - said Marcin Kierwiński at a press conference.

The government wants to launch an offensive concerning judicial reforms before the holidays – 300POLITYKA has learned. In practice, this is an attempt to reverse the reforms carried out under the PiS government.

At its Tuesday session – just before the holidays – the Council of Ministers will address three draft laws proposed by Waldemar Żurek's ministry.

This is a clear acceleration – according to the legislative work schedule, the first proposal was not expected to be adopted until the first quarter of 2026.

The matter concerns a draft law on restoring the right to an independent and impartial court established by law, by regulating the effects of resolutions passed by the National Council of the Judiciary between 2018 and 2025.

The second important project is an amendment to the Act on the National Council of the Judiciary and the Electoral Code, as well as a draft amendment to the Act on Land and Mortgage Registers and the Act on the National Court Register.

- From the perspective of the Minister of Justice, the Prosecutor General, it is normal for such things to happen. It indicates that we are proceeding according to the letter of the law and all available regulations. Frankly, I must admit that the deadline set just before Christmas Eve for the application of temporary detention was not the most fortunate, even from my point of view, because I believe we could have handled it much better at a different time, but that deadline was indicated by the court - stated Waldemar Żurek at a press conference.

- The length of the wait for this deadline also shows you what a crisis we have in the justice system, and I can only state with regret that these 8 years of service by the former minister did not lead to the situation we would have expected for citizens and also for those within the justice system - he continued.

- Tusk boasted that we finally have a success. We've managed it, we have gasoline for 5.19. The only problem is, we don't have it - Sławomir Mentzen said in a recording published on X.

- I am aware that more and more of these notifications are being filed against me, and it is an attempt to divert attention. Today I saw a political press conference in front of the ministry building. It is the opposition's right, and every citizen has the right to file such reports. It is a diversion - said Waldemar Żurek at a press conference.

- I am, of course, like any citizen, ready to undergo all procedures associated with initiating criminal proceedings. When I took on this role, I was aware that certain interests would be infringed upon, especially where multi-billion euro scandals are sometimes uncovered, and that I might expose myself to such a counteraction, so I accept it calmly - he continued.

- I would not want attention to be diverted from the fundamental issue, which is the charges brought against the former minister. I will submit to all procedures; I will certainly not flee to Budapest or anywhere else - he continued.

- The issue related to the matter of revoking the European Arrest Warrant against Mr. Romanowski. […] Today, from the information I have just received from prosecutors, a renewed request has been filed for the application of a European Arrest Warrant against Mr. Romanowski - stated Waldemar Żurek at a press conference.

- I can tell you that these two fundamental acts are to be presented to the government tomorrow. One, which we refer to as the rule of law act, concerns how we intend to de-escalate the situation related to neo-judges, how to fix what has been broken. The second is about the National Council of the Judiciary. The pace is indeed very rapid. I promised it would happen this year. Some media outlets did not believe it, but we managed to achieve it through hard work - stated Waldemar Żurek at a press conference.

"Donald Tusk chased down one of his subordinates across Poland to take a photo of a fuel price that would align with government propaganda. We are debunking Tusk's myths" - Mariusz Błaszczak wrote on X.

- This is not just a mistake; the prosecution was not obligated to provide classified information. However, the fact that the court requested it suggests, in my opinion, that this arrest warrant will be issued. I believe it will happen on January 15th. Simply put, they need very strong evidentiary material and to show full commitment - Ryszard Petru said in an interview with Anita Werner on TVN24's "Fakty po Faktach" (Facts After Facts).

- The court has decided to arrest the former Minister of Justice and wants to have a full justification for this decision. But I am convinced that this indicates that the decision will indeed be an arrest. This also shows that the courts are independent, and the narrative of PiS that it was all pre-arranged is not true. It is evident that this is the action of an independent court that wants more material to arrest Ziobro - he continued.

- A symbolic indication that neither of us agrees to the continuation of a policy that has led us to a support level below the threshold. Deep change and good cooperation within the coalition are needed - Ryszard Petru said on TVN24, when asked about a photo with Joanna Mucha and Michał Kobosko, which he published on X.

- I would expect support [from other candidates in a potential second round] [...] we are united by a sense that things must accelerate [...] of course, I want to [reach the second round], I am convinced that I have a huge chance of winning against my likely female opponent - he continued.

- These polls show, firstly, that a part of the PiS electorate has gone to Braun. Secondly, Braun is taking from Konfederacja, and Mr. Nawrocki is Braun's biggest supporter with his rhetoric, behaviour, and way of being - Ryszard Petru said on TVN24.

- This shows there is a huge problem on the right. There are, among other things, shifts there, and this means further internal conflict. I am convinced that we, as Polska 2050, can win back the more centrist Konfederacja voters, and as for PiS's weak results, we can only rub our hands with glee that their support is falling and they are therefore arguing - he continued.

- However, the rise of an extremely radical, antisemitic, and pro-Russian politician like Braun is terrifying, but clearly, truly the factor driving him, his support, is Mr. Nawrocki, who with his anti-Ukrainian and, one might say, radical views, supports such attitudes - he went on to say.

- Well, he certainly is hindering. The President wants to hinder our government from strengthening public finances. He wants to hinder reforms that support the strength of the Polish economy.
