At 9:00 AM, a press conference will be held in the Sejm with MPs and Senators from PiS: club chairman Mariusz Błaszczak, MP Katarzyna Sójka, MP Zbigniew Kuźmiuk, and Senators Waldemar Kraska and Krzysztof Bieńkowski.

At 10:00 AM, a meeting of the "Work for Poland" Team, led by PiS Vice-Chairman Mateusz Morawiecki along with experts, will take place in Warsaw. The debate will focus on the EU's economic plan.

At 10:30 AM, a press conference will be held at the Ministry of Justice with the participation of the Minister of Interior and Administration and coordinator of special services, Tomasz Siemoniak, Minister of Justice Adam Bodnar, lawyer Sylwia Gregorczyk-Abram, and editor Andrzej Krajewski. The conference topic will be the Commission for the Explanation of Repression Mechanisms against Civil Society and Social Activists in the Years 2015-2023.

At 12:00 PM, Karol Nawrocki, the presidential candidate supported by PiS, will meet with representatives of culture in Warsaw.

Szymon Hołownia, the candidate for Poland 2050, will visit the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. A press briefing is scheduled for 11:30 AM in Krakow, an outdoor meeting for 3:10 PM in Wieliczka, and an open meeting with residents of Nowy Sącz at 6:30 PM.

– [A leftist heart] would break if not for my conversation with Minister Leszczyna, and her conversation with the Minister of Finance, because at the moment the Minister of Finance guaranteed that this change [reduction of the health contribution], which supports entrepreneurs, 2.5 million, mainly small and medium-sized businesses, will benefit from this change, that in no way will it affect the National Health Fund (NFZ) and the patient – stated Barbara Nowacka in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Radio Zet.

– Poles must be told very clearly that only the side that governs Poland today has a coherent and comprehensive concept of Polish security based on the most stable premises on which Polish policy can be based today – said Michał Kamiński in an interview with Karolina Opolska on "Poranek TVP Info".

– This is a policy that will not break with the United States, but will not cause Poland to overturn the entire geopolitics we have been building for 30 years for the policy of one American administration […] – he continued.

– With absolute certainty, in the event of Karol Nawrocki's victory […] the Polish president and, consequently, Polish policy, would be 100% dependent on political decisions made in Washington, which could, for example, at some point lead to a political confrontation between the United States and Europe – he went on to say.

– In such a scenario, Poland should not unequivocally side with one party. It should strive to ensure that such a conflict between Europe and the United States never occurs, rather than engaging in fanning this conflict for political interests – he added.

– Frankly, I am astonished by the actions of all my colleagues in the Left, because we believe that certain actions around the elections, however, the Together Party had the opportunity to enter the government. They had a chance to take responsibility for the state's actions, for the functioning of the state. If they have such good ideas, I still don't understand why they didn't take advantage of that – stated Barbara Nowacka on Radio Zet.

– If Karol Nawrocki becomes president, no PiS member will be held accountable for what they should be held accountable for. Because with all certainty […] this isn't even an accusation, it's a statement of fact. One of Karol Nawrocki's first decisions will be to repeat the scenario that Andrzej Duda enacted with Mariusz Kamiński – Michał Kamiński said on TVP Info.

– I have no doubt that in the case of the two towers and Jarosław Kaczyński's affair, if Jarosław Kaczyński faces charges in this matter […] and if Karol Nawrocki becomes president, he will certainly not be held accountable for them – he continued.

– Whether it's the Left, PSL, or KO – we are implementing our programs. The Together Party was the only one not interested in implementing its program. Unfortunately, the whole narrative that the Left pursued regarding the health contribution, without listening to the latest information from the Minister of Finance, stating that no one will suffer, no patient will be harmed by this change, while entrepreneurs and employees will benefit, having the chance for new jobs – stated Barbara Nowacka on Radio Zet.

– If the comrades on the Left had perhaps focused more on running campaigns for their candidates as effectively as they ran the black PR campaign around this change [healthcare contributions], perhaps we would be in a different reality – stated Barbara Nowacka on Radio Zet.

– Shouting 'murderer' is a very serious accusation, it violates norms that are both civilizational and cultural, and finally, parliamentary, for which some of these individuals have already been held responsible – said Michał Kamiński on TVP Info.

– This nervousness stems precisely from the fact that the 'Two Towers' affair, with its dual aspect, because there's also the aspect Roman Giertych mentions, a bank loan for this entire operation, this matter is obviously so uncomfortable for Jarosław Kaczyński that Jarosław Kaczyński did not want to testify in this case as a witness, even in a situation where he had full control over the prosecutor's office – he continued.

– Exactly [Kaczyński's testimony from another case was used], meaning Jarosław Kaczyński fears this issue very, very much for some reason, he wants to sweep it under the rug – he went on to say.

– Thanks to a return to observing the law, to adhering to custom – that was the agreement between the Presidential Palace and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. And indeed, at this moment, a dozen or so ambassadors – this is the first batch – are awaiting the Prime Minister's counter-signature. The first one, Madam Ambassador, our Permanent Representative to the EU, has already been appointed by the President – said Małgorzata Paprocka in an interview with Dominika Wielowieyska on TOK FM Morning.

– At this moment, we are waiting for the counter-signatures, and the President will take action. Once these documents arrive, then likely the next batch will be sent for counter-signature – she added.

– PiS politicians shout a lot about how we are closing schools. During the 8 years of PiS rule, over 1400 educational institutions were closed – schools, schools for children and youth, primary and secondary schools. 1400. We are changing the regulations so that local governments are not tempted to close schools – stated Barbara Nowacka on Radio Zet.

– I believe we need to tell Poles that if Karol Nawrocki is elected president, it will mean that, in a sense, the Polish nation is acquitting or pardoning those people a priori – Michał Kamiński stated on TVP Info.

– If, after a year and a half of the October 15th coalition's rule, after everything we say from morning to night about Law and Justice, in a situation where it's difficult to say that Law and Justice controls the state today, controls the media, that's not the case. Today, we control all of that. If, despite this, the Polish nation in the second round of elections says: no, we want Karol Nawrocki, then that verdict will have to be respected with all its dramatic consequences for me, because we live in a democracy – he continued.

– Emotions are still high because this will truly hit Polish patients. In a situation where we already know there's a 20 billion [złoty] deficit in the National Health Fund (NFZ) system, and the Minister of Finance still hasn't signed the NFZ's plan, further increasing the burden will actually lead to these queues, which are already the longest in 12 years, simply getting even longer – stated Marcelina Zawisza on the program “Graffiti” on Polsat News.

– When we have a 20 billion deficit, and if the Minister of Finance has a few billion lying around, he should start filling this hole, not count on things somehow working out after the elections, because all experts say that if these 20 billion are not found in the NFZ system by July, the system will simply start to collapse – she continued.

– This government has just created a situation where a nurse earning the minimum wage on an employment contract in a hospital will pay a larger health contribution than an IT specialist earning 14,000 [PLN] or a doctor. This is an absurd situation. I mean, I don't understand why we should have sacred cows? – Marcelina Zawisza said on Polsat News.

– I don't understand why those earning 14,000, 20,000 [PLN] should pay a lower contribution than those working on employment contracts. The contribution should be the same for everyone, regardless of whether we're talking about employees or employers, farmers, or priests; everyone should pay the same health contribution – she added.

– It's difficult for me to predict, I don't have that knowledge, whether there will be any significant changes still at the stage of proceedings in the Senate. A considerable number of correspondences on this matter are already arriving at the [Presidential] Chancellery – Małgorzata Paprocka said on Poranek TOK FM, when asked about the bill on reducing the health contribution, passed by the Sejm.

– We are awaiting the proceedings in the Senate and whether this bill will pass without amendments, or if there will be any changes. [...] Today, the Presidential Chancellery has nothing to communicate on this topic. We are waiting for the final shape of the bill – she stated.

As she indicated: – However, it is true that requests – for example, from the left side of the political scene – to veto this bill are already arriving. So, certainly, all such opinions will be analyzed by the president. Without a doubt, the most important thing is the health security of citizens.

– The situation where the ruling coalition, both Mr. Hołownia and Mr. Tusk, are really vying to steal votes from Mr. Mentzen at the expense of Polish patients is truly scandalous. We really cannot afford to further impoverish the healthcare system – stated Marcelina Zawisza on Polsat News.

– I apologize, but Minister Leszczyna was actually saving her own seat, because if she had voted against the government, I think that literally five minutes later there would have been information that someone was replacing her. Therefore, it was not an action in the interest of Polish patients, it was not an action in defense of the Polish healthcare system, it was an action in her own interest, and that is the most outrageous thing in this entire situation – said Marcelina Zawisza on Polsat News.

– The Minister [Paszyk] should focus solely on sitting in the ministry. I believe that would be beneficial for everyone, and if he wanted to do something positive, I would warmly recommend subsidizing the construction of social housing, rental apartments, so that every citizen has the choice of where they want to live, and only then will it lead to a real reduction in the prices of owned properties – said Marcelina Zawisza on Polsat News.

– This will be the most significant legal change in recent years. Polish citizens must have priority in queues for doctors and clinics. Polish children must have priority in schools and kindergartens. We must introduce the elimination of subsidies for Ukrainian and other pensions, and social benefits will be primarily for Poles – said Karol Nawrocki in a recording published by his campaign team.

– I will present laws guaranteeing this to parliament – he announced.

– Let's help others, but let's take care of our own citizens first and foremost. If I become president, I will be guided by a simple but important principle: Poland first, Poles first – declared the candidate supported by PiS.

– The challenge facing Poland is the plan for the privatization of healthcare. This is how we assess the recent decisions of the 13th of December coalition government, and this is how we assess what happened in the Sejm last Friday, which concerns the reduction of the health contribution from 2026, which will consequently lead to a further increase in the budget deficit in the National Health Fund by 6 billion zlotys – said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

– In our opinion, this is Tusk and Trzaskowski's plan, a plan to lead to a catastrophe in healthcare financing, and then to privatize healthcare, because they will say that it is the only way to maintain any access to health services, but this access [...] will be exclusively for wealthy people. This is an action to which we strongly and firmly object – he continued.

– A resolution has been prepared in the Polish Sejm, which constitutes an objection to the privatization of healthcare, and secondly, the Law and Justice Parliamentary Club in the Senate has prepared amendments to the healthcare financing act, i.e., amendments which, in our opinion, will cause [...] this 6 billion zlotys, by which the budget deficit increases, to be filled with money from two sources – he continued.

– Firstly, from the reserve allocated for financing neo-public media, i.e., TVP in liquidation and Polish Radio in liquidation, and from the second source concerning the withdrawal of the 800+ program for those Ukrainian families who do not work in Poland, who do not pay taxes in Poland, and whose children do not attend Polish schools. This is an amendment that Law and Justice senators will submit – he continued.

– It is worth dedicating significant time and energy to trace the various mechanisms and methods by which civil society organizations, activists, and campaigners were subjected to different kinds of pressure between 2015 and 2023 – stated Adam Bodnar at a press conference.

– We envision this commission will address issues related to freedom of association, the right to assemble, and freedom of speech. These are its main objectives. Consequently, it will examine the operations of public media and various restrictions concerning the organization and execution of legal assemblies. It will also consider the various surveillance mechanisms that were employed against civil society – he continued.

– Therefore, a particular aspect of the commission’s analysis will be the application of various legal actions, especially civil lawsuits, as well as different disciplinary or criminal proceedings that were initiated against civil society – the Minister of Justice emphasized.

– We hope that the commission members will lead to the preparation of comprehensive documentation, primarily recommendations for Polish authorities, to ensure such incidents do not occur in the future. We believe that undertaking these actions is very important for Polish civil society – Bodnar stressed.

The Prime Minister is expected to sign the relevant ordinance this week. The commission will consist of 11 members, headed by Sylwia Gregorczyk-Abram.

– This commission is not meant to repress officers, nor to repress individuals who performed some duties in rank-and-file positions in various places. It is meant to deal with those politicians who have made abuse of power and the misuse of various instruments, services, and public media their method of operation. – Europe has been plunged into a secular crisis for a very long time. As recently as 25, 27 years ago, the GDP of Europe, which was not yet expanded then, surpassed that recorded by the United States at the time. Today, it is two-thirds of the American figure, and even when calculated in purchasing power parity, in purchasing power dollars, it is only about 72% of the American figure – stated Mateusz Morawiecki during a meeting of the working group for Poland.

– In my opinion, one should not look at the tariffs imposed by the United States in isolation from the goals of American policy, and these goals were most clearly articulated during Donald Trump's first term – said Mateusz Morawiecki during a meeting of the working group for Poland.

Therefore, this is an obligation of the President of the Republic of Poland, but do you know what I did not read in Article 5 of the constitution? That the president of the Polish state, or the Polish state, is responsible for nurturing cultural eccentricities. For me, the Museum of Technology and Natural History is important, and I believe that the Polish state or local governments should not support counterculture, nor should they undermine the national or sexual identity of our children with the Polish state budget – he continued.

– The Museum of Memory and Identity in Toruń, a beautiful creation that I visited with the President of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Andrzej Duda, a creation under pressure from the prosecution. The Polish National Foundation, with such great achievements worldwide, including the creation of the Victims of Communism Memorial in Washington D.C., where together with the United States we are building our alliance of values around independence, around democracy, also under pressure from the Polish prosecution and many other state institutions – stated Karol Nawrocki during a meeting with cultural representatives.

– Schools, along with parents and students, are implementing restrictions on smartphone usage. Democracy and co-decision. Teacher autonomy and respect for parents' rights to contact their children. – I will not allow the security of the Polish state to be tested; the Polish Army, due to the government's decision, should already be on the Polish border. Fortunately, we have wonderful Polish patriots and Robert Bąkiewicz, who is guarding the Polish border – he continued.

– The strategy of the Polish state and our national strategy is, of course, also to weaken the Russian Federation as much as possible and push it as far away as possible. – We did not receive permission to commence exhumations in Volhynia, which I sought as the President of the Institute of National Remembrance. Polish farmers today are facing unequal competition from Ukraine, and Polish transport companies are facing unequal competition from Ukraine – he enumerated.

– The European Union is a structure that has, after all, made many cardinal errors, including due to Donald Tusk. The EU's pact with Putin, Donald Tusk and Angela Merkel's pact with Vladimir Putin regarding gas and the financing of the Russian Federation, which subsequently resulted in war and the invasion of Ukraine. – I do not want to cede strategic sectors of life in Poland to such a structure. But I would like to cooperate with the EU. That is obvious, because it is Poles who want to be in the EU, that decision they made. But with the EU that we joined, not with the one that European elites want to make of it for us – he added.

– President Andrzej Duda has indeed taken care of our security in Polish-American relations, and of Poland's standing in the North Atlantic Alliance. I can say with full responsibility that in this context, I will continue President Andrzej Duda's policy. I see the United States as our most important partner; moreover, this is an alliance based for centuries on the values of freedom, independence, and democracy – said Karol Nawrocki in TV Trwam.

– I am a right-wing, conservative candidate, but also open to social solutions. – It's impossible to create a unified, good trade policy for 27 member states. It is Polish companies that will pay these tariffs, although it will hurt the US more, because we are already seeing what is happening on the stock markets there, and soon it will hit Americans' purchasing power. But it also shows that, thank God, we are in the EU, because as the EU, an economy equivalent to the American one, we have options to choose from. We can react, wait for negotiations, we have various scenarios.
