At 10:00 AM, a meeting of the "Work for Poland" Team, led by PiS Vice-Chairman Mateusz Morawiecki along with experts, will take place in Warsaw. The debate will focus on the EU's economic plan.

At 10:30 AM, a press conference will be held at the Ministry of Justice with the participation of the Minister of Interior and Administration and coordinator of special services, Tomasz Siemoniak, Minister of Justice Adam Bodnar, lawyer Sylwia Gregorczyk-Abram, and editor Andrzej Krajewski. The conference topic will be the Commission for the Explanation of Repression Mechanisms against Civil Society and Social Activists in the Years 2015-2023.

At 12:00 PM, Karol Nawrocki, the presidential candidate supported by PiS, will meet with representatives of culture in Warsaw.

Szymon Hołownia, the candidate for Poland 2050, will visit the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. A press briefing is scheduled for 11:30 AM in Krakow, an outdoor meeting for 3:10 PM in Wieliczka, and an open meeting with residents of Nowy Sącz at 6:30 PM.

08:11

Nowacka on the Health Contribution Vote:

The Minister of Finance Guaranteed It.

[A leftist heart] would break if not for my conversation with Minister Leszczyna, and her conversation with the Minister of Finance, because at the moment the Minister of Finance guaranteed that this change [reduction of the health contribution], which supports entrepreneurs, 2.5 million, mainly small and medium-sized businesses, will benefit from this change, that in no way will it affect the National Health Fund (NFZ) and the patient – stated Barbara Nowacka in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Radio Zet.

08:13

Kamiński:

If Nawrocki Wins, Polish Politics Would Be 100% Dependent on US Decisions

– Poles must be told very clearly that only the side that governs Poland today has a coherent and comprehensive concept of Polish security based on the most stable premises on which Polish policy can be based today – said Michał Kamiński in an interview with Karolina Opolska on "Poranek TVP Info".

– This is a policy that will not break with the United States, but will not cause Poland to overturn the entire geopolitics we have been building for 30 years for the policy of one American administration […] – he continued.

– With absolute certainty, in the event of Karol Nawrocki's victory […] the Polish president and, consequently, Polish policy, would be 100% dependent on political decisions made in Washington, which could, for example, at some point lead to a political confrontation between the United States and Europe – he went on to say.

– In such a scenario, Poland should not unequivocally side with one party. It should strive to ensure that such a conflict between Europe and the United States never occurs, rather than engaging in fanning this conflict for political interests – he added.

08:18

Nowacka on the Together Party:

They Had a Chance to Take Responsibility for the Functioning of the State.

Frankly, I am astonished by the actions of all my colleagues in the Left, because we believe that certain actions around the elections, however, the Together Party had the opportunity to enter the government. They had a chance to take responsibility for the state's actions, for the functioning of the state. If they have such good ideas, I still don't understand why they didn't take advantage of that – stated Barbara Nowacka on Radio Zet.

08:19

Kamiński:

If Nawrocki Becomes President, No PiS Member Will Be Held Accountable for What They Should Be

– If Karol Nawrocki becomes president, no PiS member will be held accountable for what they should be held accountable for. Because with all certainty […] this isn't even an accusation, it's a statement of fact. One of Karol Nawrocki's first decisions will be to repeat the scenario that Andrzej Duda enacted with Mariusz Kamiński – Michał Kamiński said on TVP Info.

– I have no doubt that in the case of the two towers and Jarosław Kaczyński's affair, if Jarosław Kaczyński faces charges in this matter […] and if Karol Nawrocki becomes president, he will certainly not be held accountable for them – he continued.

08:22

Nowacka:

The Together Party Was the Only One Not Interested in Implementing Its Program

Whether it's the Left, PSL, or KO – we are implementing our programs. The Together Party was the only one not interested in implementing its program. Unfortunately, the whole narrative that the Left pursued regarding the health contribution, without listening to the latest information from the Minister of Finance, stating that no one will suffer, no patient will be harmed by this change, while entrepreneurs and employees will benefit, having the chance for new jobs – stated Barbara Nowacka on Radio Zet.

08:24

Nowacka's Message to the Left:

Perhaps We Would Be in a Different Reality.

If the comrades on the Left had perhaps focused more on running campaigns for their candidates as effectively as they ran the black PR campaign around this change [healthcare contributions], perhaps we would be in a different reality – stated Barbara Nowacka on Radio Zet.

08:25

Kamiński:

The 'Two Towers' Affair is So Uncomfortable for Kaczyński He Didn't Want to Testify Even When He Had Full Control Over the Prosecutor's Office

– Shouting 'murderer' is a very serious accusation, it violates norms that are both civilizational and cultural, and finally, parliamentary, for which some of these individuals have already been held responsible – said Michał Kamiński on TVP Info.

– This nervousness stems precisely from the fact that the 'Two Towers' affair, with its dual aspect, because there's also the aspect Roman Giertych mentions, a bank loan for this entire operation, this matter is obviously so uncomfortable for Jarosław Kaczyński that Jarosław Kaczyński did not want to testify in this case as a witness, even in a situation where he had full control over the prosecutor's office – he continued.

– Exactly [Kaczyński's testimony from another case was used], meaning Jarosław Kaczyński fears this issue very, very much for some reason, he wants to sweep it under the rug – he went on to say.

08:30

Paprocka on Appointing Ambassadors:

First Batch, a Dozen Names.

– Thanks to a return to observing the law, to adhering to custom – that was the agreement between the Presidential Palace and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. And indeed, at this moment, a dozen or so ambassadors – this is the first batch – are awaiting the Prime Minister's counter-signature. The first one, Madam Ambassador, our Permanent Representative to the EU, has already been appointed by the President – said Małgorzata Paprocka in an interview with Dominika Wielowieyska on TOK FM Morning.

– At this moment, we are waiting for the counter-signatures, and the President will take action. Once these documents arrive, then likely the next batch will be sent for counter-signature – she added.

08:37

Nowacka:

Over 1400 Educational Institutions Closed During PiS's 8 Years in Power

PiS politicians shout a lot about how we are closing schools. During the 8 years of PiS rule, over 1400 educational institutions were closed – schools, schools for children and youth, primary and secondary schools. 1400. We are changing the regulations so that local governments are not tempted to close schools – stated Barbara Nowacka on Radio Zet.

08:38

Kamiński:

If Nawrocki is Elected, it Will Mean the Polish Nation Acquits or Pardons Those People

– I believe we need to tell Poles that if Karol Nawrocki is elected president, it will mean that, in a sense, the Polish nation is acquitting or pardoning those people a priori – Michał Kamiński stated on TVP Info.

– If, after a year and a half of the October 15th coalition's rule, after everything we say from morning to night about Law and Justice, in a situation where it's difficult to say that Law and Justice controls the state today, controls the media, that's not the case. Today, we control all of that. If, despite this, the Polish nation in the second round of elections says: no, we want Karol Nawrocki, then that verdict will have to be respected with all its dramatic consequences for me, because we live in a democracy – he continued.

08:47

Zawisza on lowering the health contribution:

It will lead to even longer queues, the longest in 12 years.

Emotions are still high because this will truly hit Polish patients. In a situation where we already know there's a 20 billion [złoty] deficit in the National Health Fund (NFZ) system, and the Minister of Finance still hasn't signed the NFZ's plan, further increasing the burden will actually lead to these queues, which are already the longest in 12 years, simply getting even longer – stated Marcelina Zawisza on the program “Graffiti” on Polsat News.

When we have a 20 billion deficit, and if the Minister of Finance has a few billion lying around, he should start filling this hole, not count on things somehow working out after the elections, because all experts say that if these 20 billion are not found in the NFZ system by July, the system will simply start to collapse – she continued.

08:48

Zawisza:

Government Has Created a Situation Where a Minimum Wage Nurse Will Pay a Higher Health Contribution Than an IT Specialist

This government has just created a situation where a nurse earning the minimum wage on an employment contract in a hospital will pay a larger health contribution than an IT specialist earning 14,000 [PLN] or a doctor. This is an absurd situation. I mean, I don't understand why we should have sacred cows? – Marcelina Zawisza said on Polsat News.

I don't understand why those earning 14,000, 20,000 [PLN] should pay a lower contribution than those working on employment contracts. The contribution should be the same for everyone, regardless of whether we're talking about employees or employers, farmers, or priests; everyone should pay the same health contribution – she added.

08:50

What Will the President Do with the Health Contribution Reduction Bill? Paprocka: Veto Requests Are Already Arriving. PAD Will Analyze Such Opinions

– It's difficult for me to predict, I don't have that knowledge, whether there will be any significant changes still at the stage of proceedings in the Senate. A considerable number of correspondences on this matter are already arriving at the [Presidential] Chancellery – Małgorzata Paprocka said on Poranek TOK FM, when asked about the bill on reducing the health contribution, passed by the Sejm.

– We are awaiting the proceedings in the Senate and whether this bill will pass without amendments, or if there will be any changes. [...] Today, the Presidential Chancellery has nothing to communicate on this topic. We are waiting for the final shape of the bill – she stated.

As she indicated: – However, it is true that requests – for example, from the left side of the political scene – to veto this bill are already arriving. So, certainly, all such opinions will be analyzed by the president. Without a doubt, the most important thing is the health security of citizens.

08:50

Zawisza Attacks the Government:

They’re Trying to Steal Votes from Mentzen at the Expense of Patients.

The situation where the ruling coalition, both Mr. Hołownia and Mr. Tusk, are really vying to steal votes from Mr. Mentzen at the expense of Polish patients is truly scandalous. We really cannot afford to further impoverish the healthcare system – stated Marcelina Zawisza on Polsat News.

08:51

Zawisza on Leszczyna’s Vote Regarding Health Contributions:

She Was Saving Her Own Seat

I apologize, but Minister Leszczyna was actually saving her own seat, because if she had voted against the government, I think that literally five minutes later there would have been information that someone was replacing her. Therefore, it was not an action in the interest of Polish patients, it was not an action in defense of the Polish healthcare system, it was an action in her own interest, and that is the most outrageous thing in this entire situation – said Marcelina Zawisza on Polsat News.

08:52

Zawisza’s ironic jab at Paszyk:

He should focus solely on sitting in the ministry.

The Minister [Paszyk] should focus solely on sitting in the ministry. I believe that would be beneficial for everyone, and if he wanted to do something positive, I would warmly recommend subsidizing the construction of social housing, rental apartments, so that every citizen has the choice of where they want to live, and only then will it lead to a real reduction in the prices of owned properties – said Marcelina Zawisza on Polsat News.

09:10

Poles Cannot Be Treated Worse Than Immigrants in Their Own Country. Nawrocki Announces Legislative Projects

– This will be the most significant legal change in recent years. Polish citizens must have priority in queues for doctors and clinics. Polish children must have priority in schools and kindergartens. We must introduce the elimination of subsidies for Ukrainian and other pensions, and social benefits will be primarily for Poles – said Karol Nawrocki in a recording published by his campaign team.

– I will present laws guaranteeing this to parliament – he announced.

– Let's help others, but let's take care of our own citizens first and foremost. If I become president, I will be guided by a simple but important principle: Poland first, Poles first – declared the candidate supported by PiS.

09:30

PiS Proposes Senate Amendment: Funds for Public Media and 800+ for Some Ukrainians to Be Redirected to Healthcare

– The challenge facing Poland is the plan for the privatization of healthcare. This is how we assess the recent decisions of the 13th of December coalition government, and this is how we assess what happened in the Sejm last Friday, which concerns the reduction of the health contribution from 2026, which will consequently lead to a further increase in the budget deficit in the National Health Fund by 6 billion zlotys – said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

– In our opinion, this is Tusk and Trzaskowski's plan, a plan to lead to a catastrophe in healthcare financing, and then to privatize healthcare, because they will say that it is the only way to maintain any access to health services, but this access [...] will be exclusively for wealthy people. This is an action to which we strongly and firmly object – he continued.

– A resolution has been prepared in the Polish Sejm, which constitutes an objection to the privatization of healthcare, and secondly, the Law and Justice Parliamentary Club in the Senate has prepared amendments to the healthcare financing act, i.e., amendments which, in our opinion, will cause [...] this 6 billion zlotys, by which the budget deficit increases, to be filled with money from two sources – he continued.

– Firstly, from the reserve allocated for financing neo-public media, i.e., TVP in liquidation and Polish Radio in liquidation, and from the second source concerning the withdrawal of the 800+ program for those Ukrainian families who do not work in Poland, who do not pay taxes in Poland, and whose children do not attend Polish schools. This is an amendment that Law and Justice senators will submit – he continued.

10:42

Bodnar Announces the Establishment of a New Commission:

Crucial for Civil Society.

It is worth dedicating significant time and energy to trace the various mechanisms and methods by which civil society organizations, activists, and campaigners were subjected to different kinds of pressure between 2015 and 2023 – stated Adam Bodnar at a press conference.

We envision this commission will address issues related to freedom of association, the right to assemble, and freedom of speech. These are its main objectives. Consequently, it will examine the operations of public media and various restrictions concerning the organization and execution of legal assemblies. It will also consider the various surveillance mechanisms that were employed against civil society – he continued.

Therefore, a particular aspect of the commission’s analysis will be the application of various legal actions, especially civil lawsuits, as well as different disciplinary or criminal proceedings that were initiated against civil society – the Minister of Justice emphasized.

We hope that the commission members will lead to the preparation of comprehensive documentation, primarily recommendations for Polish authorities, to ensure such incidents do not occur in the future. We believe that undertaking these actions is very important for Polish civil society – Bodnar stressed.

The Prime Minister is expected to sign the relevant ordinance this week. The commission will consist of 11 members, headed by Sylwia Gregorczyk-Abram.

10:43

"Political and economic stability are our strengths. We will endure calmly." Tusk on the "stock market earthquake"

“The reaction to the trade war was predictable. The stock market earthquake from Japan through Europe to America must be endured without nervous decisions. The Polish stock market also took a hit, but political and economic stability are our strengths in this difficult time. We will endure calmly!” – wrote Prime Minister Donald Tusk on X.

10:56

Siemoniak on the new commission:

It should deal with politicians who have made abuse of power and the misuse of services and public media their method of operation.

This commission is not meant to repress officers, nor to repress individuals who performed some duties in rank-and-file positions in various places. It is meant to deal with those politicians who have made abuse of power and the misuse of various instruments, services, and public media their method of operation. That is exactly what it is about, answering the question of how it could have happened and who decided that democratic activists were surveilled using the Pegasus system – stated Tomasz Siemoniak at a press conference.

11:11

Morawiecki:

25 Years Ago, EU GDP Surpassed US GDP; Today, It's Two-Thirds of the American Figure

Europe has been plunged into a secular crisis for a very long time. As recently as 25, 27 years ago, the GDP of Europe, which was not yet expanded then, surpassed that recorded by the United States at the time. Today, it is two-thirds of the American figure, and even when calculated in purchasing power parity, in purchasing power dollars, it is only about 72% of the American figure – stated Mateusz Morawiecki during a meeting of the working group for Poland.

11:12

Morawiecki:

US Tariffs Should Not Be Viewed in Isolation from American Policy Goals

In my opinion, one should not look at the tariffs imposed by the United States in isolation from the goals of American policy, and these goals were most clearly articulated during Donald Trump's first term – said Mateusz Morawiecki during a meeting of the working group for Poland.

Here, the glove thrown by China at the United States, President Trump picked up during his first term and has consistently, especially consistently from the beginning of this term, sought to achieve his goals, meaning to rebuild the world order so that the United States can once again play a leading role in the long term – he continued.

12:32

Hołownia:

If I Become President, I Will Do Everything to Ban Smartphones in Primary Schools

– I am speaking very clearly and firmly: if I become president, I will act, I will do everything to introduce a ban on smartphones in primary schools. This must finally happen. Smartphones should be available to children only after they finish their school activities, if of course that is the parents' wish – said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

12:38

Trzaskowski on the 30th Anniversary of the Warsaw Metro:

A Symbol of Our Successful EU Membership.

This is proof that Warsaw, as the capital of Poland, a city for all Polish women and men, not just those from Warsaw, is a modern city that is developing dynamically, comfortable to live in, truly European, and in fact, applause to all of us, because it is we who are transforming this city every day – stated Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference regarding the 30th anniversary of the Warsaw Metro.

If it weren’t for our EU membership, not only the metro project, but the vast majority of projects we have implemented over the past years would not have been possible, and it must also be clearly stated that no city in Europe builds a metro solely with its own money, but either with European or governmental support – he continued.

It is a symbol, also a symbol of our successful EU membership – emphasized the Mayor of Warsaw.

12:41

Trzaskowski:

The Future of Public Transport Depends on More Metro Lines

There is no future for public transport without further metro lines, without the planned third metro line, which will ensure comfort and modernity for years to come – stated Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference concerning the 30th anniversary of the Warsaw Metro.

12:42

"For Those Wanting to Complete a Few Hours of Training": Hołownia on the Details of the Idea for Additional Leave for Expecting Parents

– An additional day of leave […] for those expecting parents who, just like they finish childbirth classes, finish a first aid course for newborns, for infants, would like to complete a few hours of training dedicated to digital hygiene – said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

– If one were to add to this training a bit of content on psychological awareness, on observing the first signs of mental crisis in a child, on group relations […] then I think we would all benefit – he continued.

– I intend to submit a bill on this matter anyway, if the government does nothing about it by then – he went on to say.

12:48

Hołownia:

Poland Aspires to Be a Northern European Powerhouse

– Today in Europe, there is no east-west axis. There is a north-south axis. And it is crucial today for defining an important position for Poland on this map. Poland wants to be one of the powers of Northern Europe – said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

– Poland defines itself this way; everything we do, the Prime Minister does in his domain, I do intensely in mine as Marshal of the Sejm, we are building Poland's northern alliances – he continued.

14:00

Nawrocki's Son: Young People Need a Leader in Politics, and My Father Is That Leader

I think it's about the desire to win these elections, we know who we're talking about. My father was never in a party, he never climbed the ranks of any party, let's just say he was somewhat on the sidelines, so his decision-making process and his view of the political world, and the world in general, differs a bit from that of career politicians – stated Daniel Nawrocki during a meeting between Karol Nawrocki and cultural representatives.

Perhaps I'll say this a bit privately and relate it to myself and sports, but young people like leaders. There's a basketball player, LeBron James, who changed [team] colors, and I still cheered for him because he was a leader in different states, with different teams, but he was a leader of the entire league. And young people also need a leader in the world of politics, and my father is that leader – he continued.

14:47

Nawrocki:

The President is there to safeguard national heritage, not eccentricities

The very essence of cultural heritage and culture is also reflected in the most important legal act of the Polish state. Article 5 of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland states that the Republic is responsible for safeguarding and nurturing national heritage. Therefore, this is an obligation of the President of the Republic of Poland, but do you know what I did not read in Article 5 of the constitution? That the president of the Polish state, or the Polish state, is responsible for nurturing cultural eccentricities. That is not there – stated Karol Nawrocki during a meeting with cultural representatives.

The President is there to safeguard national heritage, not to cater to eccentricities. The president of the Polish state and the Polish authorities are certainly not there to create counter-culture and pseudo-modernism – he added.

14:48

"The Museum of Oddities Named After Rafał Trzaskowski": Nawrocki Attacks Warsaw's Mayor

I will be president and I want to state this clearly, and this is symbolic, that I will strive for the creation of a Museum of Technology and Natural History here in Warsaw. Such a museum was supposed to be established, but why am I speaking with such emphasis about this particular museum? Because the Museum of Technology and Natural History was not established in Warsaw, but a museum of oddities named after Rafał Trzaskowski was established, namely the Museum of Modern Art – said Karol Nawrocki during a meeting with cultural representatives.

This is, however, a clear difference between the two main contenders in the presidential race, which I want to outline. For me, the Museum of Technology and Natural History is important, and I believe that the Polish state or local governments should not support counterculture, nor should they undermine the national or sexual identity of our children with the Polish state budget – he continued.

14:50

Nawrocki Appeals to the Prime Minister:

Less Prosecution in Cultural Life, More Culture.

The Museum of Memory and Identity in Toruń, a beautiful creation that I visited with the President of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Andrzej Duda, a creation under pressure from the prosecution. The Polish National Foundation, with such great achievements worldwide, including the creation of the Victims of Communism Memorial in Washington D.C., where together with the United States we are building our alliance of values around independence, around democracy, also under pressure from the Polish prosecution and many other state institutions – stated Karol Nawrocki during a meeting with cultural representatives.

Through the cameras, I want to say clearly: less prosecution in cultural life, more culture, Prime Minister Donald Tusk – he added.

15:49

Nowacka on Hołownia's Proposal:

Two Deputy Ministers from PL2050 Haven't Proposed Such a Project Yet.

Schools, along with parents and students, are implementing restrictions on smartphone usage. Democracy and co-decision. Teacher autonomy and respect for parents' rights to contact their children. There are numerous good practices in Polish schools. This model works – wrote Barbara Nowacka on social media, responding to Szymon Hołownia's proposal.

Thank you for the initiative, I appreciate the concern for educational matters. Two deputy ministers from PL2050 within the Ministry of National Education have not proposed such a project yet – we can read further.

18:28

Nawrocki:

Today I Wouldn't Look at Polls at All, Though Some Show Me Winning in the Second Round Against Trzaskowski

– Today, both the media and polls exist to, unfortunately, create reality, rather than describe reality as it is. […] Today, I wouldn't look at presidential polls at all, even though I perform very well in many of them. There were even polls that showed me winning in the second round against Rafał Trzaskowski. But I want to convince the editor and all of you that polls exist to create reality, not to reflect what we are actually dealing with – stated Karol Nawrocki in the program “Unfinished Conversations” on TV Trwam.

18:34

Nawrocki:

Trzaskowski's Victory Will Mean Tusk Rules All of Poland

Today we need a president who loves Poland, is ready to serve Poles, is ready to make tough and consistent decisions in the face of the chaos happening around us, but also a president who will halt Donald Tusk's autocracy. My main rival, Rafał Trzaskowski, is after all Donald Tusk's party deputy, so Rafał Trzaskowski's victory in the May 18 elections will mean that Donald Tusk will essentially rule all of Poland, and we all see how he governs – stated Karol Nawrocki on the program “Unfinished Conversations” on TV Trwam.

18:41

Nawrocki:

You Can't Put Wind Turbines on Farms or Sites of National Memory. That's Terror.

– RES should supplement the Polish energy mix, but only where they are socially acceptable. You can't put wind turbines on farms or sites of national memory. That is already terror. If people want to use photovoltaics, wind turbines, RES, then of course we should promote it, but we shouldn't be under the pillory we are discussing – stated Karol Nawrocki in the program „Rozmowy niedokończone” on TV Trwam.

18:47

Nawrocki:

We Have Wonderful Patriots and Robert Bąkiewicz Guarding the Polish Border

Instead of the reparations owed to us, we are receiving illegal immigrants from the German state through the western border, solving the problem for Germany and Europe. This is going too far. For me, as the future president of Poland and commander-in-chief of the armed forces, the most important thing will be the safety of Polish women and men – said Karol Nawrocki on TV Trwam.

I will not allow the security of the Polish state to be tested; the Polish Army, due to the government's decision, should already be on the Polish border. Fortunately, we have wonderful Polish patriots and Robert Bąkiewicz, who is guarding the Polish border – he continued.

18:57

Nawrocki:

We Did Much for Ukraine, and Received Nothing in Return

– Poles opened their homes to many Ukrainians. The President of the Polish state warned the world about the threat to Ukraine. Without the Polish state, it would have been difficult for Ukraine to survive the first days and weeks of the war. We gave truly a lot and we don't need to prove anything to anyone – stated Karol Nawrocki in the program “Unfinished Conversations” on TV Trwam.

– The strategy of the Polish state and our national strategy is, of course, also to weaken the Russian Federation as much as possible and push it as far away as possible. So, the United Right government armed the Polish Army and sent some equipment to Ukraine. […] We did much for Ukraine, and we received nothing from Ukraine – he stated.

– We did not receive permission to commence exhumations in Volhynia, which I sought as the President of the Institute of National Remembrance. Polish farmers today are facing unequal competition from Ukraine, and Polish transport companies are facing unequal competition from Ukraine – he enumerated.

18:59

Nawrocki:

I am deeply disappointed with President Zelenskyy

– Ukraine is indeed not treating us as partners. I am deeply disappointed with President Zelenskyy. He behaved in a way he should never have behaved towards the Polish state – stated Karol Nawrocki in the program “Unfinished Conversations” on TV Trwam.

19:04

"I will tell President Zelensky clearly: you must treat us as a partner." Nawrocki on restoring "partnership" relations with Ukraine

I am thinking about this, that as the President of the Polish state, I am making a clear declaration – I will strive to restore partnership relations with Ukraine. I regularly say: Poland first, Poles first. If someone, a farmer or an entrepreneur, is threatened by unfair competition from Ukraine, then I will stand on the side of the Polish entrepreneur, and I will tell President Zelensky clearly: you must treat us as a partner – stated Karol Nawrocki on TV Trwam.

19:14

Nawrocki:

The EU Has Made Many Cardinal Errors, Including Due to Tusk

– The European Union is a structure that has, after all, made many cardinal errors, including due to Donald Tusk. The EU's pact with Putin, Donald Tusk and Angela Merkel's pact with Vladimir Putin regarding gas and the financing of the Russian Federation, which subsequently resulted in war and the invasion of Ukraine. The migration pact, the climate pact – stated Karol Nawrocki on the program “Unfinished Conversations” on TV Trwam.

– I do not want to cede strategic sectors of life in Poland to such a structure. But I would like to cooperate with the EU. That is obvious, because it is Poles who want to be in the EU, that decision they made. But with the EU that we joined, not with the one that European elites want to make of it for us – he added.

19:14

Nawrocki:

I Will Continue President Duda's Transatlantic Policy; The US is Our Most Important Partner

President Andrzej Duda has indeed taken care of our security in Polish-American relations, and of Poland's standing in the North Atlantic Alliance. I can say with full responsibility that in this context, I will continue President Andrzej Duda's policy. I see the United States as our most important partner; moreover, this is an alliance based for centuries on the values of freedom, independence, and democracy – said Karol Nawrocki in TV Trwam.

19:29

Nawrocki on what distinguishes him from Mentzen:

I am a conservative candidate, but also open to social solutions.

– I am a right-wing, conservative candidate, but also open to social solutions. This means I can never imagine tuition fees for higher education in Poland, and I am not in favor of privatizing healthcare. This distinguishes me from […] Sławomir Mentzen – stated Karol Nawrocki on the program “Unfinished Conversations” on TV Trwam.

19:31

Nawrocki:

I Believe Mentzen's Voters Will Vote for Me in the Second Round

– These are, however, different visions of the Polish state, but also visions that meet on certain issues, which we can broadly call right-wing. So there are moments in our program that align with each other, and this gives hope that in the second round, Sławomir Mentzen's voters, I believe, will vote for Karol Nawrocki, for me, who will defeat Rafał Trzaskowski – stated Karol Nawrocki in the program “Unfinished Conversations” on TV Trwam.

19:39

Nawrocki Attacks Nowacka:

Handing Over the Ministry of Education to Such a Radically Left-Wing Politician is Incomprehensible.

We are, as the father editor said, in a kind of ideological madness, trying to sever us from our roots. As President of the Institute of National Remembrance and as a father, I am not surprised that the Polish school is heading in such a bad direction, because at the head of the Ministry of National Education stands a radically left-wing politician, a minister who fights against the values that are close to Poles – stated Karol Nawrocki on TV Trwam.

It is incomprehensible, handing over the Ministry of National Education and our future to such a radically left-wing politician. I think Minister Barbara Nowacka is as radical in her left-wing views as my opponent, Rafał Trzaskowski – he continued.

19:41

Should the EU Impose Retaliatory Tariffs on the US? Bryłka: We Cannot Escalate This War

– The question is whether the European Union will introduce retaliatory tariffs – said Anna Bryłka in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program “Gość Wydarzeń” (Guest of the Events) on Polsat News.

– We cannot escalate this war, because what happened with China shows that it will only fuel this spiral of escalation, which will serve no one, and in fact, further retaliatory tariffs will rebound on European consumers, including those in Poland, so incidentally, we could be affected by the European Union's retaliatory tariffs more than by Donald Trump's tariffs – she continued.

Bryłka:

It's Impossible to Create a Unified, Good Trade Policy for 27 EU States

– It's impossible to create a unified, good trade policy for 27 member states. […] We are standing a bit on the sidelines in this trade war; there are European Union member states that will lose significantly from these tariffs, and there are states for which it is completely neutral – said Anna Bryłka on Polsat News.

– It's impossible to build a common trade policy for 27 states. This is becoming evident in relations with the American administration, it's becoming evident in relations concerning the signing of a free trade agreement with Mercosur countries, and it will become evident with every such regulation – she continued.

Nawrocki:

I Can Make Tough Decisions, I'm Responsible for Removing 42 Objects of Soviet Propaganda

– I believe that [...] all of you have no doubts that I can make tough decisions. I am responsible for removing 42 objects of Soviet propaganda, and I face a 5-year prison sentence thanks to the Russian Federation. Therefore, I will make good, tough decisions, always saying: Poland first, Poles first – stated Karol Nawrocki on the program "Unfinished Conversations" on TV Trwam.

Bryłka on Climate Goals:

Until the EU Admits Its Mistake, There Will Be No Improvement in the Polish Economy.

– The European Union, the European Commission, is pursuing a suicidal economic policy, an economic policy that is liquidating industry in the European Union, liquidating agriculture, imposing gigantic climate taxes. We have 3 to 4 times higher energy prices than in China, than in the United States. We are unable to compete – said Anna Bryłka in Polsat News.

– Until the European Union admits that it made a mistake, especially in the previous term regarding the setting of such radical and costly climate goals for the years 2030 and 2050, there will be no improvement in the Polish economy – she continued.

Nawrocki:

If I Can't Make Them Work Hard for Poland, I Will Bring About This Government's Resignation

At the very beginning, I will want to make this lazy government work hard for Poland. If this does not succeed, then of course I do not exclude it, and there are such mechanisms, if the situation in the country does not lead to good, and our economy, economics, and development worsen, using my presidential mandate, I will bring about the resignation of a government that does not serve Poland – said Karol Nawrocki on TV Trwam.

Bryłka Skeptical About Potential Confederation Co-governance with Tusk and PO:

I Would Never Believe He'd Meet Our Demands.

– I find it difficult to imagine. We have a very divergent program from Prime Minister Donald Tusk – said Anna Bryłka on Polsat News when asked if she considered the possibility of Confederation governing with Donald Tusk and PO.

– I would never have believed that Prime Minister Donald Tusk would meet any of our demands – she continued.

Sikorski:

Polish Companies Will Pay Tariffs, Though It Will Hurt the US More

Of course, it can [hurt Europeans, including Poles]. It is Polish companies that will pay these tariffs, although it will hurt the US more, because we are already seeing what is happening on the stock markets there, and soon it will hit Americans' purchasing power. But it also shows that, thank God, we are in the EU, because as the EU, an economy equivalent to the American one, we have options to choose from. We can react, wait for negotiations, we have various scenarios. If we were just Poland and had this level of tariffs, like other countries, we might have to submit to this dictate – stated Radosław Sikorski on TVP Info.

Sikorski:

We have an interest in sticking together

We have an interest in sticking together, in not allowing Russia, the Chinese, or even our American allies to impose solutions on us that would be unacceptable to Europe – stated Radosław Sikorski on TVP Info.

Sikorski:

We Hope for a New Opening with Germany Due to the New Government

We have hope for a new opening with Germany in connection with the new government. This is always an opportunity to agree on something new – stated Radosław Sikorski on TVP Info.

Sikorski on Potential Trump Visit:

We Always Welcome the US President in Poland.

President [Duda] asked me to deliver an invitation to President Trump via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. And of course, we always welcome the US President in Poland – stated Radosław Sikorski on TVP Info.

Sikorski:

I would support using frozen Russian assets for European defense and aid to Ukraine

I would support using frozen Russian assets for European defense and aid to Ukraine. Most countries support this; only a very small number are opposing it. Putin cannot get this money back because he has caused far greater damage to Ukraine. I think Putin himself is already reconciled with the fact that he will never see this money again, so it is up to us whether we want to spend our money on rearming and rebuilding Ukraine or on Putin's money. I prefer to spend Putin's money – stated Radosław Sikorski on TVP Info.

Sikorski on US Secretary of State's Words Regarding Putin:

I Probably Won't Reveal a Secret.

I probably won't reveal a secret if I say that the [US] Secretary of State told us that Americans would rather wait weeks than months for Putin to reciprocate what Ukraine has already done. Ukraine has agreed to an unconditional ceasefire in all domains. Russia ostensibly agreed to some partial ceasefires, but still doesn't adhere to them, and then sets conditions for ending the war altogether in exchange for this ceasefire. And the American side is finally learning that Putin has still not abandoned his original goals for this war – stated Radosław Sikorski on TVP Info.

20:25

Sikorski on Trzaskowski:

If He Doesn’t Make a Mistake, He Will Win.

Yes, I believe he has [Rafał Trzaskowski] very good chances; if he doesn’t make a mistake, he will win. And he doesn’t make mistakes – stated Radosław Sikorski on TVP Info.

Sikorski:

Nawrocki Not Reaching the Second Round Would Be a Catastrophe for PiS

Mr. Nawrocki not reaching the second round would be a catastrophe for PiS. It doesn't bother me at all, because I have enough problems with the current president from PiS – stated Radosław Sikorski on TVP Info.
