– Nobody can say that today. There is a great contradiction between the heart and intuition. My intuition tells me that Nawrocki is the favorite in this election today. Karol Nawrocki. Because the dispute regarding the relationship between the Church and the state will be the axis building the second round of the election – stated Michał Kamiński on TVN24’s “Rozmowa Piaseckiego.”

– In my opinion, I say this with all humility as a person who does not know for sure, but assumes that if the second round of the election is constructed, which is quite natural and very difficult to avoid, around a symbolic referendum for or against the government, then Rafał Trzaskowski’s fate will be regrettable – he continued.

– I honestly believe that had Donald Tusk not responded within 17 minutes to a very wise, balanced, and, from today's perspective, crucial proposal made by Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz last autumn – that is, to build unity of the ruling camp around a presidential candidate who would steer clear of the PO-PiS confrontation logic, because we warned that this confrontation could be fatal for PO for one fundamental, historical reason, if that's not enough for someone – stated Michał Kamiński on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

– Up to now, in four instances of presidential elections, a PiS and PO candidate have met in the second round. And the result of this match is 3:1 for PiS. That is why we proposed a different scenario, and Donald Tusk, at his own responsibility, not even the PO's, as he didn't convene any PO authorities on this matter, dismissed Kosiniak's idea at his own risk – he continued.

– The problem is that what I think is considered nonsense in Civic Platform (PO). They believe they are the smartest in the world and will win these elections, while I genuinely believe that Mentzen would be an easier opponent for Rafał Trzaskowski than Nawrocki. For reasons that Mentzen revealed too early in an interview with Stanowski – stated Michał Kamiński in the "Piasecki's Interview" on TVN24.

– Americans will definitely not support Mentzen. The anti-Semitism of Mentzen's base and all of that, his famous 'five without Jews,' means that the American administration and Donald Tusk will certainly not get involved in his campaign – stated Michał Kamiński in 'Piasecki's Conversation' on TVN24.

– I am convinced that if Mentzen were in the second round, I know Republican politicians who would then support Rafał Trzaskowski. Because there are such people in the USA who certainly do not want anti-Semites to rule in Poland – he continued.

– This campaign is very long, the longest campaign in the history of the Third Republic. It de facto began on the day the candidate was announced, with a pre-campaign. We divided it into 5 stages […], we are in the third [stage]. The fourth [stage] will begin soon – said Paweł Szefernaker in the program “Super Ring” by Super Express.

– The fourth stage is the home stretch before the first round. I think this will already be the essential campaign, within which we will try to convince all those who are still unconvinced today. […] We will continue to visit districts, meet with people. […] This home stretch, I think, is already the essential campaign, during which we will also want to surprise a few times – he indicated.

– We knew that from the first day there would be a strong attack on the candidate supported by PiS. We were ready for it. As it turns out, so far these attacks are one big fake – said Paweł Szefernaker in the "Super Ring" program of Super Express.

– Karol Nawrocki invited Rafał Trzaskowski to a debate. He’s the one who chickened out. I invited the head of the campaign via social media, and I haven't received a response to this day. Karol Nawrocki announced that he wants to debate Rafał Trzaskowski because he is the biggest evil we want to defeat today. […] We want to talk about security – said Paweł Szefernaker in the program “Super Ring” of Super Express.

– When it comes to trade, we as the European Union are a federation. We act together. The exclusive right to represent member states lies with the European Commission. This is something the Brexiters in Great Britain learned belatedly, and they discovered that Great Britain is much weaker in negotiations with the European Union – stated Radosław Sikorski in the "Morning Interview" on RMF FM.

– Now Washington will discover that no one here will provoke, everyone here will want to maintain transatlantic friendship, but we are an equivalent economy together with the United States, and unfortunately, if these tariffs are imposed on Europe, the European Union will be forced to take equivalent action – he continued.

– Karol Nawrocki has spoken out on this issue [abortion] many times. He also referred to Mentzen's position. Today, we have a situation where abortion is permitted in specific cases, and this law should not be tightened – said Paweł Szefernaker on the Super Express program “Super Ring”.

When asked about abortion in cases of rape, he replied: – Of course, a woman should have a choice.

He continued: – Karol Nawrocki is a candidate who has specific convictions. He wants to protect life, he is pro-life. Today, there is a law that allows abortion in certain situations. We do not want to tighten it; this must be clearly stated. However, a new compromise, in line with the constitution, is needed on this matter in Poland.

– Of course, we should be prepared for that, because an attack on NATO would be madness, but it turned out that a three-day military operation against Ukraine was also madness – Radosław Sikorski said on RMF FM, when asked about mobilization in Russia and whether it means Putin is preparing for yet another war.

– We already have hybrid warfare, and that's in the Baltic states, in Poland, we have cyberattacks, we have sabotage, we have espionage, we have blocking of banking systems, recently in Poland there was an attack on a hospital. Our services are fighting it, diplomacy is responding, and the state and the nation must prepare for deterring Putin, should he completely lose his mind and attack NATO – he continued, when asked whether a hybrid strike or one like in 2014 against Ukraine concerning the Baltic states is possible.

– Regarding the rest of the campaign, it is largely dependent on campaign contributions and how much funding we raise – said Paweł Szefernaker on Super Express’s program “Super Ring.”

When asked how much money they have in their account, he replied: – Still not enough. So I strongly appeal to you: if you support PiS and our endorsed candidate, Karol Nawrocki, we kindly ask [for donations], because this campaign is not an equal one.

– Yes, I believe nothing has changed here – said Radosław Sikorski in an interview with RMF FM, when asked if he believed in NATO's Article 5.

– In fact, I am proud of how the West has reacted to Russian aggression against Ukraine this time. If you had asked me before the war what the reaction would be, and that after over three years we would still be supporting Ukraine financially and militarily, I wouldn't have been so sure, yet here we are – he continued.

– It seems to me that both the United States and the hard core here on the borders with Russia are ready to repel any Russian aggression – he added.

– This convention will certainly not be extravagant. If we raise the required funds for the election campaign in the coming weeks, then such an election convention will also take place. But it depends on whether we raise the funds – said Paweł Szefernaker in the program "Super Ring" of Super Express.

– He also spoke about the European Union, from the Union of Lublin to the European one, and supported the efforts of the then-government in the referendum for Poland's accession to the European Union. That is why I am so surprised by our nationalists that they are not implementing precisely this part of John Paul II's teachings – said Radosław Sikorski on RMF FM.

– What our current right-wing promotes and what it believes Poland will benefit from, such an departure from international law and the law of the strongest in foreign relations, would certainly not have pleased the Holy Father – he continued.

– I am convinced that we will have at least one point more than Rafał Trzaskowski. We will win against Rafał Trzaskowski in the first round – said Paweł Szefernaker on Super Express's program "Super Ring".

– I don’t think so, but I believe even the Ukrainian ambassador, whom we like, cannot vouch for Russian propaganda, which is already accusing us of wanting to enter Ukraine and carry out a partition together with them [...]. This will be an element of mobilizing society within Russia itself, and we do not want to give this advantage to Russian propaganda – said Radosław Sikorski on RMF FM, when asked if any change in decision is possible after the presidential elections and whether Polish soldiers might appear in Ukraine.

– I believe that Poland will be the biggest beneficiary of Ukraine's reconstruction, simply due to linguistic proximity and logistical reasons, and also because our entrepreneurs are bolder. Just as aid to Ukraine is currently going through Poland and from Poland, we will also be a logistical hub for Ukraine's reconstruction – said Radosław Sikorski on RMF FM.

– To this day, the right gets excited about some photo opportunity on the Sopot pier or my conversations at completely different times with Lavrov, yet they don't criticize their ideological brethren who are talking during a bloody war – Radosław Sikorski said on RMF FM.

– I don't hear any criticism of the second reset carried out by the United States – he continued.

– They started signing on Monday, so it seems it helped – said Radosław Sikorski in RMF FM, when asked if he had lost hope for cooperation with the President regarding ambassadorial nominations, because the Presidential Chancellery was surprised by his words.

– When they send signatures, it’s hard for me to be dissatisfied. It took a year, a bit long – he continued.

– For now, these are low numbers, but it has already [the suspension of the right to asylum] been applied. I remind you, these people still have the right to asylum and the right to apply for international protection in Poland; this can be done at the Polish consulate in Minsk or Moscow – said Radosław Sikorski on RMF FM.

– More than individuals, less than dozens – he continued, when asked whether the new law had so far covered individuals or dozens.

– Twenty years ago, we bid farewell to John Paul II. There would have been no fall of communism, no Solidarity, no free Poland without the Polish Pope. We remember – wrote Rafał Trzaskowski on social media.

– Karol Nawrocki will certainly make it to the second round, and it truly doesn't matter if he gets 29%, 30%, or 32% in the first round. Besides, I believe he will exceed 30%. Let's remember that today's polls are not very reliable, but they are not very reliable precisely because about 20% of respondents refuse to answer the question 'Who will you vote for?' and these are likely not voters of the ruling coalition – stated Jacek Sasin on Radio Zet.

– [Mentzen] No, he will not overtake him, I am sure. I am completely calm about this, no matter how many different paid polls try to create such a reality, they will not succeed – he added.

– Those governing Poland today will go to any lengths to catch Wąsik and Kamiński. If they failed to imprison them unlawfully, they are now trying to prosecute them for performing their parliamentary duties, and please note that they were performing these duties at a time when the Speaker of the Sejm had not yet revoked their mandates – stated Jacek Sasin on Radio Zet.

– Had they not been exercising these mandates at the time, then today charges would likely be formed that they were not working, and the Speaker would be thundering about how Wąsik and Kamiński had abandoned their voters – he continued.

Tusk, for half a billion zlotys, is opening 49 foreigner integration centers. He tolerates Germany dumping thousands of illegal migrants on us, and Trzaskowski says these migrants are our insurance policy. End this support for Germans and Russians in dumping migrants on us. Withdraw from this, support the Confederation's resolution to withdraw from the migration pact – he continued.

– I wanted to ask for the convening of the Convention of Seniors, and this is for the purpose of convening an extraordinary session of the Sejm to discuss a problem that I believe is significant, namely what humanism means in a fighting democracy. What is the relationship of this humanism to sadism. Because on the one hand, we have the humanitarian decision to release the murderer Cyba, who killed one person and attempted to kill another, and it was very close that he succeeded – stated Jarosław Kaczyński in the Sejm.

– We must answer the question whether a fighting democracy means abandoning all rules of European civilization, or if something still remains. I am a proponent of the conviction that all have already been abandoned, but it is worth discussing – added the PiS chairman.

During the Sejm proceedings, Roman Giertych and Jarosław Kaczyński entered the podium simultaneously.

"I was called a sadist by Mr. Jarosław Kaczyński. Jarek, sit down, calmly, calm down," Roman Giertych said to the PiS leader, who was standing next to him on the podium and also trying to speak.

"I'm not on first-name terms with you, scoundrel," Kaczyński replied.

The Sejm Deputy Speaker presiding over the session, Piotr Zgorzelski, interjected that Giertych had the floor. Moments later, PiS MPs approached the podium area. Iwona Arent addressed Roman Giertych with the words "Get down, murderer." PiS politicians shouted the word "murderer." Piotr Zgorzelski announced a 10-minute break.

– Genealogists have shown that I am Jarosław Kaczyński's uncle, and I said: Jarek, my dear uncle. I think this explains why I address him as 'you' [informally]. I am simply his uncle, but he shouldn't address me as 'ty' [informally] – stated Roman Giertych at a press briefing in the Sejm.

– Regarding the shouts of “murderer,” I spoke with the club leader. We will file a report because it is an insult during the performance of parliamentary duties – stated Roman Giertych at a press briefing in the Sejm.

– This week is rich with very significant events related to the signing of further contracts. We signed a two-billion-dollar contract in Phase II of the Wisła program, which is air defense, anti-aircraft, and anti-missile defense – an absolute priority for Poland – with our allies from the United States, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said at a press conference.

– Here, to our opponents, a week ago they were saying, citing German media, that we would break contracts with the Americans, and we are signing new ones. It's not worth believing them, he continued.

– The first step we managed to take is the introduction of the concept of road homicide into our legal system. I believe this first step, which has been taken and which we managed to convince the Ministry of Justice to adopt, should be followed by another, in which we clearly and precisely codify this issue – said Dariusz Klimczak at a press conference.

– If someone kills another person while driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, they should be tried as a murderer – he continued.

– We don't talk, we do. Many today have reservations, including politicians from the Left, about my work. Yet, 44 projects have emerged from the Ministry of Development and Technology, which I have the pleasure of heading, while the Minister for Equality has 0 projects to her name. Therefore, I encourage less criticism and more work – said Krzysztof Paszyk at a press conference.

– Rafał Trzaskowski is making a hero out of himself for holding a two-hour press conference, which is quite astonishing. For me, it's not a challenge, but rather part of my daily routine to answer questions from the public almost every day; there are days when there are no press conferences – stated Karol Nawrocki in Alwernia.

– Rafał Trzaskowski is not a role model for me either; rather, I am his opposite, and what Rafał Trzaskowski does does not impress me in any way, and particularly Rafał Trzaskowski's two-hour press conference does not inspire my actions. I do not have a deficit of meetings with journalists; we are talking about a candidate who shies away from press conferences, whose staff escorts television crews out of their press conferences – said Karol Nawrocki in Alwernia.

– Today's meeting is meant to be proof that civilian security is a challenge, a challenge for all of us. Poland will be safe only when we are militarily and army-secure. When we are energetically and food-secure, but we will also be secure if civilian security is ensured, which cannot be built without the system of volunteer fire brigades and state fire services – stated Karol Nawrocki in Alwernia.

– Of course, I critically assess the fact that loans are at a high level and banks are building their potential, despite what is happening in Poland. Interest rates should be lowered, which is what I have appealed for to the Monetary Policy Council. I view the Polish state's economy, or the operations of commercial banks, solely through the lens of Polish citizens, men and women, who should live as well as possible in our common Republic – said Karol Nawrocki in Alwernia.

– This sets the strategic direction of my actions, hence my appeal to the Monetary Policy Council, primarily to two members of this council who were indicated and nominated by the current ruling coalition, to lower these rates and to ease the burden on Poles – he added.

– Today, amidst the clamor in the Sejm, a certain Konwiński claimed that our governments were a time of great rule of law violations, and therefore we have no right to speak even on matters such as the death of our colleague – said Jarosław Kaczyński during a parliamentary team meeting for counteracting lawlessness.

– We are dealing […] with a phenomenon of false consciousness. Because I am convinced that a significant part, at least of this parliamentary club which is our main opponent, truly believes in it. These are people at such an intellectual level that you can convince them of the most diverse things – he continued.

– Perhaps there are exceptions, but generally speaking, these people believe in the fairy tale that the media have been telling since the very beginning of our government, and also during the 2005-2007 governments – he went on to say.

– This government will not last forever. I believe it will be short-lived. Polish democracy will need radical repair because it has proven completely resistant to this type of action. The Constitution provides for a whole host of institutions that should be a mechanism of control. Civic Platform has never recognized this – said Jarosław Kaczyński during a parliamentary team meeting on counteracting lawlessness.

– Our task, and the task of the team as well […] is to consider what needs to be done, what needs to be changed in the Polish Constitution, in the Polish system of governance – he continued.

– This nervousness was growing, it was indeed extremely intense. Denying her attorney, who was her representative, and allowing in two lawyers who, to put it simply, represented Giertych, was an action that ultimately led to a significant escalation of this reaction, of that I have no doubt – Jarosław Kaczyński said during a parliamentary team meeting on combating lawlessness, referring to the Barbara Skrzypek case.

– Particularly aggressive was the lawyer who is directly associated with Roman Giertych, who today is trying to defend himself in various ways – he continued.

– We know that the road to victory is through the presidential elections, let's follow that path, but along the way, we cannot forget about this matter [Barbara Skrzypek]. I know that some believe that today’s sharp clash in the parliamentary chamber was perhaps something that should not have happened, but these people are deeply mistaken – said Jarosław Kaczyński during a meeting of the parliamentary team for counteracting lawlessness, referring to a situation where he called Roman Giertych a sadist, after which an uproar ensued in the Sejm.

– The actions that the EU is taking are intended to make NATO stronger […]. Some are trying to pit NATO against the European Union or the EU against NATO. These are two different entities, but they cooperate in the field of security development – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during the High-Level Conference – EU Security Forum concerning the White Paper on European Defence.

As he stated: – Higher EU spending means a stronger NATO. More armaments in Europe means stronger national armies equipped with the best gear. More secure EU eastern borders mean greater and better protection for NATO's eastern flank. There are no contradictions here, nor should one be pitted against the other. One stems from the other. Without EU investments, NATO will be weaker.

– We are changing the legal status in these four acts, which is in effect until today, or has been in effect until now – said Marek Sowa during the Sejm session, presenting the report of the extraordinary committee on the government's bill amending certain acts to eliminate irregularities in the Republic of Poland's visa system.

– No matter how you look at it, this is a radical tightening of regulations, for instance, sealing the visa system, or access to work for foreigners on the territory of the Republic of Poland. All of this is simply a radical change compared to your policy. Because, one might say, your policy in this area did not exist – he continued.

– The aim of this act is to eliminate all these irregularities and regain control over the process of foreigners entering Poland and staying in our country by sealing the entire visa system – he went on to say.

Without putting it into practice, without the quickest possible allocation of funds, without procurement […], it will solely remain a well-developed strategy. And we want it to be an effective strategy that brings benefits and security – he pointed out.

– Designating the East Shield as a strategic project for the defense of Europe, a strategic project for strengthening NATO's eastern flank and the EU's border, combined with the Baltic defense line, fortifications on the Finnish-Russian border, creates an authentic barrier, a dam, various types of fortifications, drone and anti-drone systems that we will be able to utilize. This means a safer Europe – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during the High-Level Conference – EU Security Forum concerning the White Paper on European Defense.

– We do not have too much time. Three years is the period that must be the most intense, during which we will achieve a situation where it will be unprofitable for any enemy of Western civilization, any enemy of the EU and NATO, to attack us. They will simply be afraid to attack – he indicated.

– The current geopolitical situation should convince everyone that we immediately need to strengthen Europe's defense capabilities. Our common goal should become building a European security architecture in a way that reduces the risk of war in the long term. Our readiness will deter, while weakness will encourage the aggressor – said Radosław Sikorski at a press briefing.

– This is an attack on the servers, computers of Civic Platform, Rafał Trzaskowski's election campaign headquarters. It was detected by Civic Platform's IT specialists but reported according to procedures to NASK and the services, in order to investigate the sources of this attack – said Jan Grabiec in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the program “Gość Wydarzeń” on Polsat News.

– What we and the services have managed to establish so far concerns an attempt to infect several dozen computers, from accounting departments to campaign staff members, by attempting to gain complete control over these computers through a virus, a Trojan horse, which would enable tracking of what is happening on these computers, blocking or deleting content, but also, potentially, generating content and distributing it through these computers – he continued.

“An Email Account Was Compromised”

– The attack involved compromising the email account of one of the collaborators. Through this email account, an attempt was made to generate false correspondence, supposedly originating from this collaborator, which was intended to be opened on the campaign headquarters computers, and at that moment, an infection would occur – the Head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister continued.

– As far as I know, in these several dozen cases, the correspondence was not opened, so the infection did not succeed because our IT services identified this, and it lasted in the evening, at night, and over the last several dozen hours, indicating that it required investigation – he added.

“The Source of These Actions is Related to Groups from the East”

– We are a dozen or so hours after the matter has been investigated by CERT NASK and the services, and we have confirmation here, I would say, as representatives of the government or as a representative of the Prime Minister's Chancellery, I know that the source of origin of these actions is related to the operations of operative groups from the East, which are controlled or financed, maintained by special services – Grabiec emphasized.

– Prime Minister Donald Tusk rarely appears in the Sejm, and he wasn't here today either, but he was very active on Twitter, just not on the matter that Minister Grabiec was just talking about. You decided very quickly whether you associated it with our eastern neighbor – Elżbieta Witek said on Polsat News.

– However, I have the right to have concerns about whether this is indeed the case, because for some time now, we have been fed such information by politicians from Civic Platform mainly, but also by some media, that perhaps X should be switched off during the campaign, or that there will be cyberattacks [...] from the East, and looking at what happened in Romania or now France, I have serious concerns about what will happen in less than two months – she continued.

– I am not saying that this is the case, but I have the right to suspect that it might be so – she further stated, when asked if she believed it was preparing the ground for something similar to what happened in Romania.

– If I hear that there was a hacker attack on Mr. Rafał Trzaskowski's campaign headquarters, I don't know what could be extracted from that headquarters, I don't know if the election calendar [...] there's certainly no great wealth there – Elżbieta Witek told Polsat News.

– I think everyone who has been observing what has been happening for a long time can see that these elections, and primarily this campaign, are not fair. Law and Justice has been deprived of funds for conducting the election campaign unlawfully, contrary to the ruling of both the Supreme Court and the National Electoral Commission – Elżbieta Witek stated on Polsat News.

– Elections in Poland should be secret, direct, and fair. Secret, perhaps they will be, direct, yes, but will they be fair? Today, it is clear that they are not – she continued.

– We keep learning that Mr. Cyba is in a different place each time, we don't know where. He is aggressive. You know, in no democratic country in the world would such a situation be allowed to happen – Elżbieta Witek said on Polsat News.

– This is pathetic, truly, it is pathetic. Such a criminal […] the particular correctional facility where Cyba was held […] was the only correctional facility in Poland that has specialized hospital wards […] where Cyba could calmly serve his sentence. It turned out completely differently – she continued, after the host pointed out the statement from the Ministry of Health that Ryszard Cyba is in a forensic psychiatric ward with enhanced security.

"One can consider this the murder of Polish democracy, of Polish rule of law, because that's what it is, but President Jarosław Kaczyński addressed Giertych, considering him the main inspirer of what is happening," Elżbieta Witek said on Polsat News, when asked who the shouts of "murderer" in the Sejm were directed at.

– We plan to reach 300,000 active military service soldiers by 2035 – meaning 300,000 professional soldiers, territorial military service soldiers, and voluntary basic military service soldiers. The rest of our capabilities will be filled by the active reserve and passive reserve – said General Wiesław Kukuła in an interview with Grzegorz Kajdanowicz on TVN24’s “Fakty po Faktach.”

– For now, let's not worry – conscript military service will not return. Today, we should focus on harnessing the potential of those interested in serving in the military. This is our critical task today, and I want to say that there are areas today where we have more candidates than our capacity to offer them, for example, military training – said Gen. Wiesław Kukuła on TVN24's "Fakty po Faktach" (Facts after Facts).

As the Chief of the General Staff explained: – From a logistical point of view today, reinstating conscript military service would encounter a number of challenges in terms of training, efficiency, and ensuring the quality of that training. No European country has fully reactivated this conscript military service. For example, Sweden only selects a group from among those designated to serve. Some countries organize lotteries.

– The point is that there is no need for us to reactivate conscript military service on such a broad scale today. Our needs are met by voluntary basic military service – he indicated.

– Today we are at the stage where we have finished programming. We know what it will look like, we are still building the issues related to rewards and defining the so-called bonus issues – said General Wiesław Kukuła in "Fakty po Faktach" on TVN24.

– As the armed forces, we will submit proposals for two groups of people: the first for those who do not want to be soldiers, but want to acquire competencies on how to behave, how to survive in case of a crisis or armed conflict. And the second group will be all those who declare their willingness to defend the homeland with a weapon in hand. We have a great offer for them for service in the reserve, balancing service time, professional work, and family life – he continued.

When asked about the first group, he replied: – It will be a series of trainings that we will offer. These will be both one- and two-day trainings. Why one- and two-day? Because we want to primarily utilize weekends, […] so as not to disrupt their current rhythm of life. These will be medical trainings, but there will also be trainings, for example, in urban SERE, i.e., how to behave in the urban environment in a situation where an air raid alarm is announced. How to prepare your apartment, your family for such a crisis.

– In the first group, we see no point in having an age limit. In the second group, this age limit is […] 60 years old – he indicated.
