– First and foremost, this is bad news for both Ukraine and our region of the world, but it is, however, news that is the result of President Zelensky’s lack of gratitude and his inability to conduct international policy. I wish it were otherwise, but from the very beginning, I was concerned by what President Zelensky was raising, including towards Poland – stated Karol Nawrocki in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News’s “Graffiti.”

– This kind of diplomatic ingratitude towards the Polish state itself at the very beginning of the war, which was also defined by President Zelensky quite recently, and the course of the conversation at the White House in Washington brought about the effect it did. It’s a bad outcome for Ukraine, for Poland, for our security, but one must look at its causes. I hope this is only a temporary crisis in diplomatic relations – he continued.

– First and foremost, I see a problem with President Zelensky; I’ve seen it consistently from the beginning. When one treats their allies in such a way… Trump is a tough negotiator, we know the negotiation tactics of the US president, and it seems to me that he sent a final signal to President Zelensky at this moment, that he must treat his partners better. And I hope that President Zelensky will also treat his smaller, yet equally important, partners, his neighbours, namely Poland, better – stated Karol Nawrocki on Polsat News’s “Graffiti.”

– In an ideal world, of course, countries like Russia, post-Soviet, neo-imperial, cruel, barbaric, should not be the subject of diplomatic relations; they should be isolated. Well, yes [Donald Trump is resetting with them], because Trump is the right partner who is a threat to our part of Europe, so naturally, the leader of a country like the USA must take on this theater and the entire architecture of world security and diplomacy – stated Karol Nawrocki in Polsat News's “Graffiti.”

– In one of the interviews, I said what you quoted [about severing diplomatic relations]. Generals of armies that are slaughtering each other also sit down at the common table, so of course, in this mode of diplomacy, it is a normal thing, and in an ideal world, one does not negotiate; in the world of diplomacy, one does not negotiate, or such states as Russia do not exist in international structures – he continued.

– These would certainly not be my first decisions [severing diplomatic relations with Russia], but looking at what the Ambassador of the Russian Federation has been doing recently in Poland, looking at how this diplomacy looks, we are at a moment where security in Europe and the world needs to be brought under control, and I am glad that the President of the USA is taking on this responsibility – he added.

– If that is the result of the second round… I will certainly stand for a debate with that candidate, if a second round is needed at all, because I intend to win in the first. I am ready to debate and discuss with anyone, provided the right convention is established, and such a convention will be established before the second round. I am ready to talk to everyone. Above all, I will debate with whoever reaches the final of the presidential race, and that is probably the most important thing – stated Karol Nawrocki on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

– The primary interest of everyone in Poland is, above all, Poland's interest and security, and that security is absolutely paramount today. – I am stunned and disgusted by the actions of PiS politicians. Following Maciej Wąsik's failure to appear for questioning by the Pegasus parliamentary committee, its members unanimously voted to request the court impose the maximum penalty of 3,000 Polish zloty. As announced by the head of government, the Council of Ministers may adopt a bill next week that will facilitate and simplify investments in the defense industry.

– Karol Nawrocki has visited over 160 districts. […] We [the campaign team] are looking to implement our strategy. Within our strategy, we are at the third stage out of five. – I assess this entire situation as, of course, very difficult. We have seen an impasse in the talks; we all saw the situation that took place in the White House. I hope these are elements of negotiation tactics, that the USA will continue to support Ukraine in the near future. President Zelensky needs to return to the negotiating table, and I hope this will happen in the near future – stated President Andrzej Duda at a press briefing in the USA.

– Unfortunately, during the meeting in the Oval Office at the White House, Zelensky presented conditions that could not be met. That is, he expected peace to involve all lands returning to Ukraine, and Russia paying compensation to Ukraine, which was unachievable because one must somehow reach an agreement with Putin to end this conflict, and currently, unfortunately, there is no force on the horizon that will drive Putin out of Ukraine – stated Sławomir Mentzen on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.
