Prime Minister Donald Tusk will participate in a meeting of European leaders in London concerning Ukraine.

The informal meeting will focus on security and defense matters in the context of the ongoing war in Ukraine. United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer will report on his recent meeting with US President Donald Trump.

Leaders of European states, representatives of EU institutions and NATO, and the President of Ukraine will take part in the discussions. The talks will continue on March 6th at an extraordinary meeting of the European Council in Brussels.

The Polish Prime Minister's welcome is scheduled for 2:30 PM Polish time, the family photo for 2:50 PM, and the European leaders' meeting on Ukraine for 3:00 PM. A press conference by Prime Minister Donald Tusk is scheduled for 5:30 PM.

At 11:00 AM in Szeligi, a program conference will be held by Karol Nawrocki, a presidential candidate supported by PiS.

At 12:00 PM in Rzeszów, an open meeting will take place with the participation of the Mayor of Warsaw and Civic Coalition's presidential candidate, Rafał Trzaskowski.

At 11:00 PM Polish time in Chicago, a meeting between President Andrzej Duda and his wife with Polish diaspora communities will be held.

– It must become clear here on the Vistula, once and for all, that in this Ukrainian-Russian war, Poland is on Ukraine’s side, without any ‘buts’, and not just because human solidarity and decency towards the attacked demand it. Something most serious is at stake here, namely our security, Poland’s national interest. Poland’s national interest demands not subjecting it to discussion, but unambiguous, lasting support for Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk before his departure for London.

– Today the situation is obviously complicated, we know this, because by standing with Ukraine, in the interest of our national security, we Poles are simultaneously strongly in favour of the closest possible alliance between Poland and Europe, the entire West with the USA – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk before departing for London.

– If today some find this more difficult, if we have a certain dilemma, the stance of the Washington administration is not as unequivocal as ours on the Ukraine-Russia issue, but we must overcome this dilemma, and Poland, with its reputation, Poland about which our allies and America say that we are in an exceptional situation today, spending the most on armaments, becoming better and better prepared to defend our borders, European borders, having very good relations with the Americans, means our voice will be all the more audible – he continued.

– Prime Ministers and Presidents from European countries are turning to me, especially after the Zelensky-Trump meeting in Washington. I always have the same message: there is no room for any doubt, we support Ukraine and we are strengthening our alliance with the United States, regardless of how difficult the circumstances may be – said Prime Minister Tusk during a statement before departing for London.

– Europe has awakened, just as I used to say in Poland that the giant had woken up and then even the doubters, those who felt weak, stood on their feet, raised their heads and won, and in Europe too, this giant has awakened – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk before departing for London.

– Today, Europe lacks imagination and courage. Europe must understand its strength, and I will also speak about this in London, based on the data recently presented by the International Institute for Strategic Studies, which is one of the most reputable institutes assessing military capabilities – stated Prime Minister Tusk during a press conference before departing for London.

Regarding professional soldiers, Europe, including Ukraine because we are on the same side, has 2.6 million. America has 1.3 million. China has 2 million, and Russia has 1.1 million. Europe has an advantage over everyone here, and Russia doesn't even compare. Fighter jets capable of operations: Europe with Ukraine has 2091, the USA has 1456, China has 1409, and Russia has 1224. Europe, together with Ukraine, has almost twice as many combat aircraft as Russia. Various types of artillery and weaponry, including Ukraine: 14,400. The USA has 5,000. China has 9,500. Russia has 5157. There is nothing to compare here; the deficit is the inability to understand that Europe has the potential to be a global power – he continued.

– I will also support Prime Minister Meloni’s initiative to bring about a Europe-United States summit. Today, it seems very necessary, and it is good that Prime Minister Meloni proposed this to President Trump, also because of their very good relationship, perhaps it will bring a positive result – stated Prime Minister Tusk during a press conference before departing for London.

– There were emotions there. This is completely obvious, but someone like the President of Ukraine, traveling to the United States to Washington, asking for further assistance, without which Ukraine is unable to remain independent, should have realized where he was going and should have behaved like everyone else – stated Przemysław Czarnek at Karol Nawrocki’s programmatic conference.

– Can you imagine the President of the Republic of Poland traveling to America and saying: I demand more American troops, because if not, America will be in danger. Well, we would call him an idiot, unfortunately [Zelensky] behaved like that, and there’s no beating around the bush here, the President of Ukraine behaved like that – he continued.

– Either Karol Nawrocki will become president, maintaining our alliance with the United States, or Trzaskowski will become president, and then the United States will put a cross on the map, signifying that Poland no longer exists. I am absolutely convinced that he will definitely be speaking with American politicians, who knows, perhaps even President Trump. That's precisely what matters today: convincing the American administration that no one has such capital of trust as Poland, both in Europe, Ukraine, and the United States – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Rzeszów.

– Today is not a time for comments, today is not a time for inflaming emotions, but rather a time for presenting a plan of action. If the world is changing, a responsible politician should consider what truly needs to be done, not just comment on social media about what is happening – stated Rafał Trzaskowski in Rzeszów.

– Today, unity is truly needed, on this one matter. On the matter concerning security, on the matter of strengthening our NATO membership. On the matter concerning Ukraine's European aspirations, we should all speak with one voice. Today is truly not a time for taunting each other, for attacking each other, but today responsibility demands that we speak with one voice – he continued.

– When it was necessary to help Ukrainians, we did it. When it was necessary to help Ukrainians, we did it. When it was necessary to organize the city to receive American soldiers, to become a center of aid for Ukraine [we did it]. I am convinced that we will also [become] a center for Ukraine's reconstruction; our companies must participate in Ukraine's reconstruction, we must be active – stated Rafał Trzaskowski in Rzeszów.

– I will say 'yes' to CPK, but I will also loudly say 'yes' to artificial intelligence and yes to AI. We are today at a moment of great revolution also in terms of new technologies – stated Karol Nawrocki at the program conference.

– I won't cede any region. I don't believe in something like PiS regions and regions of other parties, there's no such thing. There's no such thing, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise, don't let anyone tell you that Podkarpacie cannot move forward. It can move forward because it has proud, hard-working people who want Podkarpacie to have a chance to develop – stated Rafał Trzaskowski in Rzeszów.

– The Central Industrial District, a magnificent history from 90 years ago. Here in Rzeszów, also here in Stalowa Wola, across the entire region. – We want to allocate well over 100 billion zlotys to the Central Industrial District project, because we already have investments that have been promised – he added.

– I have a bill prepared by those who cooperate with me. A prepared bill on the Breakthrough Technologies Fund. Poland must establish a Breakthrough Technologies Fund that will support entrepreneurs in this sector, which will have open competitions for the development of artificial intelligence, as well as a wide range of new technologies – stated Karol Nawrocki at a programmatic conference.

– I am throwing down a digital gauntlet to Donald Tusk's government. Let's create a Breakthrough Technologies Fund and build our future – he continued.

– Today, some Law and Justice (PiS) politicians are writing that only they are the guarantee of good relations with the United States. In my opinion, on a tough guy like Trump, waving dumbbells and doing squats and push-ups probably won't make an impression – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Rzeszów.

– I will submit the "Good Polish School" bill project. A bill project that will assume that what we need in schools is not so much smartphones, we don't need smartphones in schools. Not for smartphones in schools, but instead of smartphones in schools, we need teachers spending creative time with students – stated Karol Nawrocki at a programmatic conference.

– Today, this war is also being fought to weaken all dictators, which is why we are on Ukraine's side. Not only because our emotions are with Ukraine, but because it is common sense, it is our national interest, and anyone who doesn't understand this threatens Poland's security – stated Rafał Trzaskowski in Rzeszów.

– The demand is maturing, clearly stating that we should link the growth of average wages in Poland with the growth of salaries for teachers. I would be ready to sign such a law on this matter today. – As President of Poland, I will call on the government to finally release state land for housing construction, to release it for local governments and cooperatives. We need to build cheaper and more – stated Karol Nawrocki at a programmatic conference.

– It [the meeting] was historic because the situation is historic; the war is ongoing, and we all assume this is a breakthrough moment in this war and that peace talks are approaching, even if we encounter real obstacles along the way. The composition of this meeting also signals a truly strong format, because in addition to EU countries, leaders from Norway, Canada, Great Britain, Turkey, and of course European institutions and the Secretary General of NATO also participated in this meeting – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference in London.

– There was no one here who questioned this either, and finally, clearer declarations have emerged regarding the readiness to increase national spending as a percentage of GDP. – The best way to discourage Putin and other aggressors is to build our own strength, and the best way to convince President Trump to want to strengthen cooperation with Europe, rather than weaken it, is our European strength. A Sejm session where MPs will address motions to lift immunities of prominent PiS politicians and a special summit of EU leaders on Ukraine – these appear to be the two most significant events of the coming week.

The Pegasus inquiry committee is set to question Maciej Wąsik and Mariusz Kamiński, the government will discuss the National Cardiac Network and hear information on deregulation, while President Duda will speak at a special session of the UN General Assembly.

Government on Deregulation and the National Cardiac Network. On Tuesday, the Council of Ministers will consider a draft bill on the National Cardiac Network, a draft amendment to the Public Health Act, and hear information on the coordination of the legislative process implementing deregulation.

Wąsik and Kamiński Before the Inquiry Committee. On Tuesday, the Pegasus inquiry committee is scheduled to question the former coordinator of special services, Maciej Wąsik, followed by the former head of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, Mariusz Kamiński.

Duda in the USA. President Andrzej Duda continues his visit to the USA – on Tuesday, the head of state will meet with the President of the UN General Assembly and participate in a special session of the UN General Assembly, where he will deliver a speech.

Committee on Błaszczak and Matecki's Immunities. On Wednesday – in a closed session – the Sejm's rules committee will consider a motion to grant consent for the criminal prosecution of MP Mariusz Błaszczak. On the same day, the committee will also address a motion concerning MP Dariusz Matecki.

EU Summit on Ukraine. On Thursday, EU leaders will convene for a special summit to discuss further support for Ukraine and European defense. "We are at a decisive moment for Ukraine and European security," stated European Council President Charles Michel.

Sejm on Kaczyński's Immunity. During the two-day session commencing on Wednesday, MPs are expected to consider a motion – filed at the request of Krzysztof Brejza – for the Sejm to grant consent for the criminal prosecution of MP Jarosław Kaczyński, as well as the aforementioned motion concerning the head of the PiS parliamentary club.

Sejm on Citizen's Bill. During the aforementioned session, the Sejm will also consider, in its first reading, a draft bill on the protection of minors from pornographic content on the internet.
