According to unofficial information, President Andrzej Duda will meet with US President Donald Trump in the United States today. The meeting is reportedly scheduled for 7:30 PM Polish time.

At 9:30 AM, Szymon Hołownia, the presidential candidate for Poland 2050, will meet with Father Rafał Kupczak at the headquarters of the Świętokrzyski National Park. At 12:00 PM, an open meeting with residents will commence, followed by a press briefing scheduled for 2:30 PM.

At 10:00 AM in Kamień Pomorski, Karol Nawrocki, the presidential candidate supported by PiS, will meet with fishermen and residents. A press conference is scheduled for 12:00 PM.

At 2:00 PM, Nawrocki will hold an open meeting with the residents of Goleniów, and at 5:00 PM – a meeting with the trade unionists of the Dolna Odra Power Plant and residents. The final event is an open meeting with the residents of Myślibórz at 7:00 PM.

At 2:00 PM in Płońsk, an open meeting will take place with Rafał Trzaskowski, the President of Warsaw and a presidential candidate.

At 2:00 PM in Bełchatów, Sławomir Mentzen, the presidential candidate for Konfederacja, will hold his presidential convention. A press briefing for journalists will take place after the convention concludes.

– Today, President Andrzej Duda is meeting with US President Donald Trump, once again proving that it is through the authority of the President of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Andrzej Duda, that the entire potential of the Polish state for building international relations lies, and it is the sound judgment of the President, the most important politician in the Polish state, that matters in a situation of geopolitical chaos in Europe and the geopolitical, strategic changes that have occurred since Donald Trump entered the White House – said Karol Nawrocki at a press conference in Świnoujście.

– Through his prudent policy, his authority, and his prestige, Mr. President Andrzej Duda is today taking care of our economic and military security, and of Poland’s presence at the most important tables and in the most significant places around the world – he stated.

He added: – This is the right counterbalance to what the Polish government, led by Donald Tusk, is doing today, which, together with European elites, is preparing an anti-American rebellion.

– I don't know if you remember what the current Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, Donald Tusk, said about Baltic Pipe in 2014. I try not to clutter my mind with Donald Tusk's words, so this quote might not be exact, but in 2014 he said that we have contracts with the Russian Federation for gas. He said at the time that the Polish market was too small to receive a lot of Norwegian gas – said Karol Nawrocki at a press conference in Świnoujście.

– The same circle that stood behind Donald Tusk, behind that man, signed contracts with the Russian Federation to obtain gas until 2037. And today we have Baltic Pipe and we are using it, because those who stood up and implemented this investment were those who thought about the strategic interests of the Polish state's security – the United Right government – he indicated.

– I stand before you today to say that we need stubborn visionaries. We need people who understand the interests of the Polish state and our security. People who will not hesitate to make the most difficult decisions for military, defense, and energy security – said Karol Nawrocki at a press conference in Świnoujście.

– On local issues, which are important for the local community, for Świnoujście, as well. We often need agreement, but also agreement based on truth. Not from those who are unfortunately in government today, like Prime Minister Donald Tusk and his deputy, who did not and still do not believe in investments important for Poland – continued the candidate for president, supported by PiS, who had previously mentioned investments such as Baltic Pipe, the LNG terminal, and the tunnel under the Świna river.

As he emphasized: – I want to be your president of ambition, aspirations, future, and security.

– This is another masquerade by Donald Tusk. If I were president, I would first and foremost do everything to unilaterally denounce the migration pact – said Karol Nawrocki at a press conference in Świnoujście, when asked if he would sign the asylum bill adopted by the Sejm on Friday.

– I am observing the actions of Donald Tusk and Vice-Tusk Rafał Trzaskowski, how they try to talk about the security of Poles in the context of migration, and how much harm they did by simultaneously signing the migration pact, preparing the structures of the Polish state to accept migrants, which personally terrifies me […]. Donald Tusk is lying once again and trying to deceive all Poles […], that he will defend the interests of Poles through some substitute methods – he stated.

– Mr. Prime Minister, why did you sign the migration pact? Aren't you causing us problems in the Republic and aren't you letting these migrants in. Nawrocki will come anyway on May 18, Mr. Prime Minister, and this deception will end – he added.

– Of course, I recognize that Poland should be at the negotiating table [regarding Ukraine]. We are a country that has accepted over a million Ukrainians, that has significantly helped Ukraine, whose president was a primary advocate for the Ukrainian cause […]. But what the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, Donald Tusk, is doing certainly does not help Poland's position on the international stage – said Karol Nawrocki at a press conference in Świnoujście.

– The building of an anti-American rebellion by EU elites, as well as by Donald Tusk, puts us in a very difficult situation, and it is only in President Andrzej Duda that this strength and chance […] that Poland's interests will be considered in these negotiations – he stated.

He continued: – It's understandable that President Trump doesn't ask the EU for an opinion. I would like it to be different, for him to ask Poland and the EU, but we must remember that the EU is in deep chaos: the climate pact, the migration pact, the earlier pact with Vladimir Putin. Who is President Trump supposed to ask for an opinion when Europe is dealing with ideological issues, LGBT, bottle caps, and other things?

– I ask everyone to appreciate and respect the efforts of anyone who undertakes them for the sake of Poland’s security. The government and the President must act together on this matter, regardless of all differences – wrote Prime Minister Donald Tusk on the X portal.

– From this place, I want to say that it is truly thanks to all governments that have ruled Poland so far that we are strong. That we are recognized worldwide today as a country that has seriously addressed its security, that seriously treats the security not only of Poland but also of the EU and the North Atlantic Alliance. Thanks to this, we are appreciated all over the world – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Płońsk.

– From President Wałęsa, through President Kaczyński, earlier Kwaśniewski, President Komorowski, President Duda – they all spoke with one voice. Today, President Andrzej Duda also speaks with one voice with Prime Minister Tusk. And it seemed that this was something obvious – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Płońsk.

– Unfortunately, you hear what my opponent is saying, you have probably heard what former Prime Minister Morawiecki said in the United States. […] Today is not about being malicious, today is about saying and asking everyone in politics to sober up – he indicated.

“Let us all speak with one voice, at least on this one issue”
– Today is really not the time to divide ourselves on security matters. Today is the time for Donald Trump, the entire US administration, all our partners in Europe to hear exactly the same thing from the mouths of the Prime Minister, the President, the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Because it is in our common interest to strengthen Polish security – he continued.

As he appealed: – Let us all speak with one voice, at least on this one issue.

– Today, it is Poland that bears the responsibility for Poland’s security, for Europe’s security, and in a sense, for the world’s security, because we are the ones securing the eastern border of the EU and NATO. In reality, it's mainly us and the Finns – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Płońsk.

– We are the ones securing this border at a time when Putin and Lukashenka are trying to destabilize it by sending refugees, by trying to create breaches in our defense system. Of course, we will not allow this. This hard border will remain hard, […] we will not let Europe be destabilized – he emphasized.

– In all these conversations, all our partners in Europe, but especially in the USA: both Republicans and Democrats, say: you are a model. Even if we hear bitter words from some Republican politicians towards Europe, they always say: but Poland is different, Poland takes responsibility, Poland has always been with us, it spends money on security – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Płońsk.

– We answer them, when they ask us what else we can do: we will definitely not send troops anywhere, because we are responsible for our borders, for the security of Europe. If Putin were to raise his hand against someone else, our army must be in Poland, because today we are securing the entire EU. […] We can't do any more […], this is proving to the whole world that we have already done our part – he indicated.

– We are telling all of Europe: you are adopting the migration pact today, and does anyone have any doubts that we will certainly not be fulfilling the provisions of this pact that concern the relocation of migrants? We've already done our part. We have accepted millions of refugees from Ukraine, we have secured the border – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Płońsk.

– We have done significantly more than anyone else when it comes to migration policy. It is you who should be doing more. If someone talks about some costs, then Poland should be receiving money for what it has done, for the millions of Ukrainians who have been accepted here – he emphasized.

As he stated: – We have done more here than anyone else, which is why no provision will be implemented. This is obvious. I don't understand how one can play with this during an election campaign.

– What Morawiecki was spouting at the convention of all conservatives in the USA is unbelievable. He talked about how weak Europe is, how it's to blame for everything. He was talking complete nonsense about us having no potential when it comes to artificial intelligence and innovation – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Płońsk.

– Today Morawiecki is attacking Europe. What's the point of all this? Instead of clearly explaining, like President Duda. You know I don't praise President Duda too often, but President Duda is going there to convince Trump of our position. And that I understand – he indicated.

– I haven't heard attacks on Europe recently, I haven't heard attacks on Tusk. I hear these arguments that we all repeat. This is how a president should behave – he said.

He continued: – The president should speak with the same voice, convince Trump. If he has good relations with him, let him go and convince Trump. I understand that Andrzej Duda will be doing that today. That is exactly what we should praise. On this matter, we should be united.

– Today, Radosław Sikorski appeared there [at the Conservative Political Action Conference], presenting a downed Iranian drone over Ukraine. He showed the Americans: here we are, cooperating with you. We are effective. Everyone knows Radek Sikorski there; moreover, he was there after talks with Secretary of State Marco Rubio – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Płońsk.

– And what happened? Applause. American conservatives applauded Poland, they applauded Radosław Sikorski. They applauded – pay attention – Donald Tusk – he pointed out.

– So what, Mr. Prime Minister Morawiecki? Tarczyński, Bielan, they all went there, spent who knows how much money to convince conservatives how bad Europe is. But with Americans, you need to demonstrate effectiveness, not complain and cry – he added.

– I promised my wife that I wouldn't ask her [for her involvement] if there wasn't a chance to reach the second round. And today my wife Agnieszka is with us. Do you know what that means? It means we're fighting for the second round – stated Sławomir Mentzen during the presidential convention.

– They tell us we are radicals. And in one respect, that is indeed true. I am a radical proponent of common sense. I believe that common sense is what is most lacking in Polish politics at this moment – stated Sławomir Mentzen during the presidential convention.

– It is shocking that we continue, to this day, to send the 800+ [child benefit program] to Ukraine, for Ukrainian children studying in Ukrainian schools. What interest does any Polish taxpayer have in financing social benefits for people living in Ukraine? What do we gain from this, what is the reason? – stated Sławomir Mentzen during the presidential convention.

– Taxes must be low and simple. We will first simplify them, and then lower them – stated Sławomir Mentzen during the presidential convention.

– I intend to radically simplify tax law in Poland. Furthermore, I intend to eliminate some entirely unnecessary taxes, such as inheritance tax, housing tax, and cryptocurrency tax. A housing allowance also needs to be introduced – stated Sławomir Mentzen during the presidential convention.

– Pensions should be freed from taxes and contributions as soon as possible. Pensioners should be treated the same as students regarding taxes and contributions. No contributions or taxes on pensions, on pensioners' income – stated Sławomir Mentzen during the presidential convention.

– I have a message here for Rafał Trzaskowski, for his colleagues, for the youngsters from this ‘last generation’ movement. The planet is not burning, but our wallets are shrinking because of the Green Deal – stated Sławomir Mentzen during the presidential convention.

– We need a nuclear power plant, and we need it precisely in Bełchatów. A nuclear power plant should be built in Bełchatów so as not to lose jobs in Bełchatów, so that Bełchatów can continue to develop – stated Sławomir Mentzen during the presidential convention.

– Elementary common sense also dictates that we should not admit immigrants from Asia, Africa, and countries culturally different from Poland. Everywhere in Western Europe, wherever immigrants from Africa and the Middle East appear, crime drastically increases. Crime reaches levels absolutely unimaginable for us, for Poles – stated Sławomir Mentzen during the presidential convention.

– If this pseudo-historian, Jan Tomasz Gross, who lied that Poles killed more Jews than Germans during World War II, receives an order from the Polish president, then what are we talking about? It's a scandal to present Polish decorations to such slanderers. This must end as soon as possible. If I become president, I will revoke their orders. Enough with rewarding, with insulting Poland and Poles – stated Sławomir Mentzen during the presidential convention.

– I am deeply convinced that a special council for artificial intelligence must be established, which should include the most outstanding Polish scientists and Polish experts working for the largest technology companies in the West – stated Sławomir Mentzen during the presidential convention.

– I intend to veto a significantly larger number of bills. I will not allow taxes to be raised or complicated, for instance. I simply will not sign any bill that complicates or raises taxes – stated Sławomir Mentzen during the presidential convention.

– I will dust off the Cabinet Council, a constitutional prerogative of the President, which previous presidents have barely utilized. The President can convene the Cabinet Council, ensuring all ministers come to him, and I will regularly convene such a Cabinet Council, even weekly, and every week I will question each minister in turn – stated Sławomir Mentzen during the presidential convention.

– Yes, all of us, as we sit and stand here, are a threat to this system, because we live in a system designed for the past 20 years by PO and PiS. All presidents, prime ministers have been from PO and PiS for 20 years. And yes, they are responsible for everything that happens in Poland, they built this system, and we are opponents of this system and we want to change this system – stated Sławomir Mentzen during the presidential convention.

In Washington, President Donald Trump met with President Duda. President Duda (PAD) was accompanied at the meeting by Chief of Staff Marcin Mastalerek, Head of the International Policy Bureau Wojciech Kolarski, and Deputy Head of the International Policy Bureau Nikodem Rachoń.

As the White House emphasized, President Trump met with President Duda and confirmed their close alliance. President Trump also praised President Duda for Poland's commitment to increase defense spending.

I only told the President that here, above all, Poland’s security and Central Europe’s security must be strengthened – he continued speaking.

– I have already said earlier that the invitation for Mr. President is open. We would very much like President Trump to visit Poland. He said, yes, he will visit Poland. It is a technical matter to determine when this will be, whether it will be a visit in connection with the Three Seas Summit, or the upcoming NATO summit in The Hague. It is difficult to say definitively at this moment. It is also a matter of the US President's schedule – stated President Andrzej Duda in a conversation with journalists in the USA.

– Regarding Ukraine, I also had a one-on-one conversation with the President, where he told me, in very few words, what his plan of action is. He said that he has to conduct negotiations and there is no other way, because it is the only path to ending the war, but in my conviction, this also means strengthening Ukraine, and also American presence in Ukraine.
