President Andrzej Duda is traveling to Switzerland to participate in the World Economic Forum in Davos. A meeting with media representatives is scheduled for 6:00 PM.

Today, Donald Trump will be officially sworn in as President of the USA. Poland will be represented by, among others, EKR leader Mateusz Morawiecki and PiS MP Przemysław Czarnek, as well as MEP Dominik Tarczyński.

– One thing is probably certain, that everything can be uncertain. Frankly, when I look and read about what might be, according to what President Trump announced today, we should have the end of the war in Ukraine tomorrow, an end to all kinds of migrants, increased funding for armaments everywhere, and perhaps not tomorrow, but it is possible, a radical increase in gas and oil extraction, thus going against all climate-related issues, and the introduction of tariffs – stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty in the TVN24 program “Rozmowa Piaseckiego” (Piasecki's Conversation).

– Will it happen? You know, he has 100 points. A hundred isn't lucky, it doesn't happen quickly – he continued.

– We will fight. Anything can happen. We are fighting for the second round – stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty in TVN24's "Piasecki's Conversation".

– I am not Leszek Miller, and secondly, Magdalena Biejat is not Magdalena Ogórek. This is a significant qualitative change. As far as I remember, there are two candidates from the left, and if you quickly count on your fingers, how many candidates are there from the right. Do you know how many? All the rest. There are 7 of them – he continued.

– As the Left, we are very, very satisfied with what we have achieved in our first year – stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty on TVN24's "Piasecki's Conversation."

– I think that society is satisfied with what the Left has accomplished, and I, along with other leaders, am responsible for the Left. I think society is satisfied with what we have achieved in this government, however, it is a truly difficult, four-party coalition – he continued.

– Society wants more accountability. Magda Biejat and I were on tour for two days, meeting with people. We must adopt a principle: you cannot hold people accountable by breaking the law, and here I absolutely agree with Bodnar – stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" (Piasecki's Conversation).

– Wieczorek made several mistakes, which, generally speaking, were not of immense significance, but there were many of them and they occurred in a short period. He made two evident communication errors. One is that he couldn't boast about what he did well, and second, he couldn't defend himself when he was attacked. I will always defend people with whom the Left is associated – stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty in „Rozmowa Piaseckiego” on TVN24.

– I haven't [asked Donald Tusk yet], but I think it's a very bad decision. I am surprised that [health education] will not be mandatory. This concerns mental and physical health, the internet and online prevention, maturation, including human sexuality, nutrition, and healthcare – stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" (Piasecki's Interview).

– Damn it, if this is the situation, and these are the topics, and at one point it was supposed to be mandatory and now it's not going to be, then I don't understand Mr. Kosiniak-Kamysz, because he's the one who brought this about. The only doctor in Poland, and the world, who isn't for health education, nor Trzaskowski, I don't understand. Blaming PiS for this makes no sense – he continued.

– What this Mr. Trzaskowski is saying, makes me wonder if he won’t run for Pope in the Vatican when the time comes – said Paweł Kukiz in an interview with Łukasz Jankowski on “Poranek Wnet”.

– We have submitted a total of five applications in the year of KPO implementation so far. That's more than half. In terms of submitting applications, we are past the halfway mark. The last applications – the fourth and fifth – were submitted simultaneously, right at the end of last year – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz in an interview with Aleksandra Pawlicka on TVP Info's "Gość Poranka."

– Now we will do a very brief, technical review, and then these applications will be processed, with funds disbursed around the middle of the year. And somewhere after the holidays, we intend to submit the sixth application, and at the end of the year, the seventh application – she conveyed.

– We are catching up on these two years at a very rapid pace. Nevertheless, an application is not [...] signing a paper, but rather the fulfillment of specific investments and reforms. It's a great effort in action to be able to submit such an application – she added.

– I regret that the only presidential candidate who loudly, though still a bit too quietly for me, but loudly, speaks about the necessity of systemic changes […] is Marek Jakubiak. I regret that these candidates, especially those from the right side, are practically not talking about it at all – said Paweł Kukiz on Radio Wnet.

– What we absolutely must prepare for are changes. It won't be like it was before. This is certainly a president of swift, radical, and unconventional changes – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on TVP Info's "Gość Poranka" (Morning Guest), when asked about the inauguration of Donald Trump's presidency.

– What does this mean for us? That as the EU, we must be more united and self-reliant, and as Poland, we must be capable of making swift changes that are beneficial for us. Fear is not a good guide here. Because whoever fears retreats, and here we need to move forward – she assessed.

– It amuses me a bit, this repeating every two seconds 'I am a civic candidate', and I am a beautiful long-haired blonde – Paweł Kukiz said on Radio Wnet.

– A civic candidate is a person who establishes their own civic committee, and then, if they have already established that civic committee, some major political option starts supporting them after some time. That, to me, is a civic candidate. I understand 'non-partisan', that is a much better term, a non-partisan candidate supported by Law and Justice – he continued.

– My ideal solution is that health education is mandatory because it is extremely necessary. This knowledge is not sufficiently present; I see this with my own children – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on “Gość Poranka” on TVP Info.

– However, the sex education module, as only this module stirred controversy, should be optional for parents. So that parents who feel unsafe, threatened by such a defined module, can decide to exempt their children from those 3-4 lessons. And the rest is mandatory – she assessed.

– A success [for Marek Jakubiak] will be achieving some decent result, or possibly it will be a success to give one’s support at the right time to the person who wins, naturally I'm talking all the time about the patriotic side, which wins the presidential election, that is a success – said Paweł Kukiz on Radio Wnet.

– We are realists; in 2015, it didn’t even cross my mind that I would become president – he continued.

– Braun's participation is incomprehensible to me. The Prime Minister was referring to an incident that occurred during Karol Nawrocki’s meeting in Lębork on Sunday. When one of the participants asked about a “Plan B” in case the election results were invalidated after Nawrocki’s potential victory, the audience began chanting the slogan “don’t fear Tusk.”

– I understand that there are a series of attacks on Mr. Obajtek, and he is also acting and speaking under the influence of emotions, which is not appropriate – he added.

“The current government is working on a law that will allow officials to block your content online and on social media. Yes, unfortunately, this is not a joke. The government wants to grant itself the right to censor Poles online at its own discretion,” said Karol Nawrocki in a video published on X.

“Together, let’s clearly say: stop censorship online. And if necessary, let’s also meet for street protests in defense of freedom of speech,” he continued.

“Mr. Trzaskowski, your promises on this matter are completely unbelievable. Citizens know full well that you will sign any law your party leader, Donald Tusk, wants to impose on Poles,” he added.

– Right now, the rule of law in Poland has become a fiction. Every day brings us new decisions from this team, decisions actually driven by the desire to maintain power at all costs – said Mariusz Kamiński on Polsat News.

– We are talking about facts, and Europe must see what is happening in Poland. A truly grim dictatorship is being born before our eyes, these are unprecedented things – he added.

– Yes [every court proceeding is invalid], such huge legal chaos has been introduced. At the moment, the prosecutor's office is managed by an unauthorized person – said Mariusz Kamiński on Polsat News.

– Such an absurdity could occur [that we will revoke all verdicts from the time of this government]. Indeed, if this government does not recognize the rulings of the Constitutional Tribunal, the Supreme Court, despite the fact that the act on the Supreme Court is in force. They are not changing the law; if they have a majority in the Sejm, please, change the laws, change the legislation. They are not doing this; they are simply breaking the laws currently in effect in our country – he continued.

– I think it’s a kind of response, but a humorous one, because not fearing Tusk is something different than an explicitly voiced vulgarity. It’s a humorous reference to what the public opinion has been shocked by over the last few years, where activists and politicians of the PO party have openly shouted, and written such vulgarities on their t-shirts – Mariusz Kamiński said on Polsat News.

– We now have Bodnar's report, and in reality, I consider it an element of the brutal intervention of the prosecution and its inclusion in the election campaign – stated Michał Kamiński on Polsat News.

– I have reviewed this so-called Bodnar's report; it is a collection of completely absurd things. In reality, it is evident that the prosecutors from the special team appointed by Prosecutor Korneluk, the so-called Prosecutor Korneluk, were guided solely by the interests of Civic Platform, by party interests – he continued.

– We finally have a breakthrough. An agreement with the governor, for which I am very grateful. The capital city of Warsaw is taking over this building after these few years; we finally have all the documents – stated Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference.


– This building is now ours, and consequently, it will be thoroughly renovated and will serve the residents of Warsaw. I am very happy that we have finally achieved this breakthrough – he continued.

– It is an absolute paradox that a country as rich as Germany, or even a scandal, for such a rich country as Germany, to spend so much less money than Poland. Everyone must take responsibility for the security of the EU, Europe, and NATO, and this also, in a sense, addresses the expectations voiced by Donald Trump – he continued.

– Very diverse people with different views are admitted to open meetings. It can happen that vulgarities appear, but I believe that at such a moment, every candidate should react immediately because there can be no tolerance for this. When I hear such slogans, I react immediately. There is no agreement on such slogans and vulgarities – stated Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference.

– I will continue to maintain that hope sells better and that hope is what people truly desire most deeply in their hearts, not fear, not hate. Today, in all the formats in which we operate, and we have been quite diligent in the Sejm over these 14 months concerning international relations, we are trying to demonstrate and emphasize this. We need even more such work – stated Szymon Hołownia at a press briefing.

– "Don't be afraid of Tusk" is, in my opinion, completely… Personally, I am not afraid of Tusk, so I think it's a quite fitting slogan that resonates with me. – Perhaps Mr. Nawrocki is afraid to react, afraid of what his supporters would say about him then. However, if he wants to run for the highest office in the state, he should care for the entire community and he should care for our national sacred values, and he should seek what can unite Poles, not what divides them. He should have courage. So, if I were to encourage him to do anything, it would be to have courage. Courage, Mr. Nawrocki, to be able to say when something is wrong and someone wants to tear Poland apart, destroy it, or desecrate it, to stop doing that, because that is also what will be required of a president – the Marshal of the Sejm continued.

– This is a unique moment, the eyes of the whole world are on Washington. Moving encounters here with ordinary Americans, but also many meetings with President Trump's advisors, with Republican and other congressmen and senators. This is a very important moment, and I am glad that I am here, that I can experience this. However, the most important thing is the consequences, what this presidency will mean for Poland, for Europe, and for the world. It certainly promises to be a very significant moment, with significant months ahead of us – stated Mateusz Morawiecki in Washington.

– Today we hear Rafał Trzaskowski's appeal regarding the restriction of the 800+ program for Ukrainian citizens. We're calling his bluff. We have already submitted a bill amendment to this act in the Sejm, which limits the 800+ program to those families who, firstly, work in our country, and secondly, pay taxes in Poland – said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

– Why this change? Unlike Rafał Trzaskowski's ideas, this is not a campaign ploy [...]. It is a consequence of the policy we have been pursuing [...] a policy of supporting refugees [...] the situation has changed. There are various tensions, understandable after these few years, but let's also be aware that the state budget, adopted for 2025, after a year of the December 13th coalition's rule, is in disarray – he continued.

– The first and most important piece of information about the story you are hearing from Washington is a lie. And what is the truth? Washington has been completely blocked for 2 days, for obvious reasons. Consequently, I decided to reach my previously scheduled interview on foot. – They asked where I was going, I said for an interview. They asked who I was. I said I was a Member of Parliament, a former Prime Minister, the head of the EKR. "There is a law, and in a moment there will be 18 regulations. A civilian protection program will be created, and there will be significant funds to build shelters, to renovate the alarm notification system, and to educate people, citizens, and youth. This all requires effort from everyone, effort from various institutions, various individuals, and universal engagement," said Tomasz Siemoniak at a press conference.

– I believe tenfold less was spent on searching for Mr. Romanowski than the amount he is suspected of embezzling from the Fund for Judicial Assistance, so we will not skimp on searching for people suspected of serious crimes – Tomasz Siemoniak said at a press conference.

– Investments in the armaments industry are a fundamental task for our presidency. If we have a new commissioner for defence, they must have a budget, they must have the capabilities to implement their intentions. This cannot be done without money. So far, the European Union has spent around 1.5 billion euros on investments in the armaments industry, which is decidedly too little. That's one contract for one European country, and at least 100 billion euros are needed in the next budget for investments in the armaments industry – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

– The role of our alliance is growing. Polish-Swedish relations have never been this good, but they have also never been this important. We are living in a time when relations between Poland and Sweden are the strongest in history – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

– Presidential elections are not won with 37% support. Given the polls we see published to boost the spirits of our supporters, our competitors, this difference is vast. It shows that Karol Nawrocki still has ample room for growth, and the campaign will last another 4 months. On the other hand, there are other polls that show Rafał Trzaskowski has lost as much as 9 percentage points. We can jest, that at this rate, he will have negative approval – stated Radosław Fogiel on PR24.

– I wouldn't attach any importance to this poll. We can bet, on whatever the editor wishes, that these results will not be the case in May, that Karol Nawrocki will achieve a much higher result – he added.

– I hope that this current coalition will soon get to work, because for now they are indeed posing with equipment ordered by Mariusz Błaszczak, but it's good that they are continuing, so let's not pick too much at it today – Radosław Fogiel said on PR24.

It was a speech that positioned President Trump as, I don't want to say a savior, but as someone bringing a new era to the United States, that after a period of decline, a new era of growth and strength is completely beginning… – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz in an interview with Monika Olejnik on TVN24's "Kropka nad i" (The Dot Over the i).

– It will certainly be an era of completely different values. Not democratic values understood as win-win, cooperation, adhering to certain principles where everyone acts according to the same rules and even the smallest have rights. Instead, according to what we heard, this is a time of great empires that have their own interests. And the United States has its interests and will now guard these interests, pursue them, and apply all its strength and all its resources to enforce these interests – she assessed.

– It was a speech to Americans. It wasn't a speech to the world, although the whole world was naturally listening to this speech. Europe was practically absent. There was no mention of international issues at all, unless in the context of enforcing border security, reclaiming what President Trump believes belongs to Americans – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on TVN24's "Kropka nad i" (The Dot over the i).

– Relations will be much more transactional. This principle, that one was, is an ally, is no longer as crucial. What is crucial is what the EU, Poland can put on the scale today in business, in other aspects, in relations with the United States. So, very pragmatically – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz in "Kropka nad i" on TVN24.

– From Poland's perspective, the US is a very important ally, the strongest country in the North Atlantic Alliance, and this is certainly a hard perspective that Poland should maintain. Therefore, it is in our interest to do everything possible to maintain NATO's cohesion and effectiveness – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on TVN24's "Kropka nad i".

– We should, however, look as a sovereign, strong – it is known that not as strong as the US – but significant European country, acting together in the name of the alliance, but also with a sense of self-worth and the understanding that our strength lies in common economic action within the EU, because military matters are a different issue, rather than dividing ourselves in Poland and competing […].
